Dick’s backstory: super cool circus boy. Tragic accident that parallels Bruce’s and is Bruce’s literary foil. Meant to depict what Bruce could have become and what Batman hopes to inspire in the people of Gotham. Crafted both by the writers and Batman to be one of the best characters to ever come from DC comics. Is so good at what he does that he was able to effectively impersonate Batman.

Tim’s Backstory: Certified genius. Has been stalking Batman since the age of 8 without Batman, aka the world greatest detective, ever finding out about it. His story is so intertwined with the bats that he was there the day The Flying Graysons fell to their death and Robin was born. Took up the Robin mantle of his own accord and against the violent wishes of a broken, grieving man and became what Bruce needed in the wake of his dead child.

Damian’s backstory: created in a lab from Bruce’s DNA and is known as the Blood Son. Has been trained by assassins since birth and is smart enough to have obtained several PhD’s by the time he was placed in Bruce’s care at the age of 9. Can kill you before you ever even knew you had something to fear. His mother is literally Thalia Al Ghoul. His destiny is to one day take over the cowl and he might’ve already done so if his own morals more aligned with Bruce’s own.

Jason’s backstory: found him on the street. Junkie mother. Father in prison. Uhhhh fuck guys what should we do with him?? Let the audience choose I guess??? Let’s put “kill him” as an option just for funsies no way they’d choose that. Oh shit uhhh ok let’s bring him back and he’ll be the red hood! Yeah! And now he kills and is evil! Yeah!
