Wizard introduction!! Aurora Dupont

A professional hater, she met April and Elsie at boarding school, and was the reluctant participant in their constant shenanigans. And she is ever and always ready with a sardonic comment or scathing quip about anything she deems unworthy of her approval.

As the sole heir of the Dupont estate, she is tasked with taking the mantle her father once held in the Order.

Her parents had her late, and her father is old and sick. Her mother passed a few years ago, but was a distant and neglectful parent in life. Although if you ask Aurora about it, she was just busy. Aurora takes her duty incredibly seriously, and swears up and down that she's 'as happy as one can expect.'

Her little free time is usually spent sleeping, and most days she has off are spent in bed. On a good day she takes up her embroidery.

Last entry for my Descendants redesigns! Finally here’s Audrey! I wanted her look to feel like it was trying a little too hard and extreme towards sweetness. I also wanted to give a nod to her being the antagonist later in the series by giving her a cape that resembled the classic Disney villain collar. I also wanted her crown to look like it could probably be used as a weapon if she really wanted to, and mimic horns.

So I’m reading The Green Knight for my Medieval English lit class and I went back and watched your Arthuriana videos for fun nostalgia, but I noticed when you were covering the Green Knight you called Arthur tired. Was there a specific reason why you did that or is that one of those things that, if you decided to redo that video, you would change? I just found it interesting bc the poem clearly states Arthur as boyish and his reason for initially accepting the challenge was pride.

The character of King Arthur that lives in my head has a little more "has been through the Arthuriana timeloop too many times" malaise than any proper characterization of King Arthur in the original stories. The story drifts and changes over time but Camelot always falls, because Arthur is a good king - some would say the perfect king - but that still isn't good enough.

In that form she was created, and in that form she served their ruler as a guardian of the nascent Digital world.

Holydramon is an alternative highest evolution she achieves as a partner digimon to a human, but it still marks her as a holy being and the progenitor of all the holy Digimon in their world.

Aurora is also handmade from @beanbagbuddies4life's pattern, using recycled and thrifted materials. Her poem reads:

I based Aurora more closely on magic due to her short plush, though only aesthetically as magic actually has a different construction to scorch despite looking similar! again the belly had to be narrowed a lot to give her shape and have her sand on her lil toes.

Alright I’m gonna come on here to help some of y’all understand vocal ranges and mixing cause some of y’all are being absolutely disgusting towards “auroras” singer.

It’s ok if you don’t know how certain things works but the fact y’all are so quick to go after the ghoulettes this year, I’m afraid it’s just plain out misogyny and I’m tired of seeing it in this fandom.

Auroras singer is a POWERHOUSE vocalist. She sings at a very high register that most ears are going to pick up MORE, that’s normal. She is NOT TRYING TO OUTSING EVERYONE. Your ears are going to naturally pick up on those higher registers REGARDLESS.

If anything you need to have an issue with the MIXING not the SINGER.( I don’t feel this way I personally liked the mixing except for respite, I do think that song needs more work.)

If she truly was THAT LOUD like y’all are complaining she is, I TRULY believe Tobias would have never approved the recording. The fact that we HAVE IT means HE LIKED IT ENOUGH TO RELEASE IT. SO TAKE IT UP WITH TOBIAS AND STOP BAD MOUTHING HER.

More fall/winter domestic Ghoul thoughts because my brain won’t stop:

Aether being the first to take care of anyone when they get the flu because they trust him the most.

Mountain making his nest comfortable enough for all his mates needs incase they want to join him while he hibernates.

Dew pulling them to himself once they get back to the abbey either after outside duties or being in town and cranking up his element so he can warm them up.

Rain making sure they’re all wearing their jackets and coats before they head out and buttoning them for those who need help.

Ifirit lighting the large fireplace in the Ghouls den and gathering everyone from the pile being especially careful with Zephyr when helping them in.

Aurora making everyone coffee,tea or hot chocolate depending on their preference and always making sure she’s mindful of everyone’s dietary needs and allergies.

Ukrainian polar explorers managed to record a unique aurora australis. It is extremely rare to see it near our "Vernadskyi". Why? First, this area is located quite far from the South Magnetic Pole of the Earth. Secondly, it is always very cloudy here
