Also her native language is an old dead language and sometimes she just slips into it on accident. Zeref is the only one that also speaks it and they carry on the convo like normal

Jacob straight up won't look at any of the women in the twelve. None of them cover up enough for him. He tries to offer them cloaks to cover themselves during meetings but they get mad

Larcade tries to make everyone pray before meetings and meals. He usually gets laughed at. Tho Invel will actually join him from time to time out of politeness

Neinhart is not well liked among the twelve. He has a habit of randomly bringing up their dead loved ones.

To no ones surprise, Bloodman and Neinhart are good friends

Ajeel, Dimaria, Brandish, and Neinhart make up random 'human' facts to tell Wall and throw off his programming. Wall has no idea what is true or not and just fully trusts everything they say

Irene also joins in on this but mostly because she doesn't wanna talk to Wall and just gives him a random answer without actually listening to what he asked

Ok I'm going to put this here. I have a hard time believing Acno can actually speak modern Fioren.

Like he wasn't even from Fiore, he's from some secret island that the name comes from Spanish. Sure he might have picked up ancient Fioren when he was at war depending where he was and what language those around him spoke but we don't know the exact location of the fighting since the placement of countries wouldn't have been the exact same 400 years in the past.

But he Def doesn't know modern Fioren. Like he's been a dragon for 400 years and did fuck all after there weren't any dragons he could find to kill to the point he was considered a legend until he showed up in Tenrou. As far as we know, his encounter with Gildarts could have been his first interaction with a human in years and he very clearly was not friendly. The best he can do is probably like a few specific words he's heard from the few times he shows up.

Plot twist that's why he doesn't speak in Tenrou cause he doesn't know how to lol.

Which also they never explained why Acno just suddenly was in Zonia for a bit or why Gildarts was there if the quest he took was in another country altogether.

Like I have my own idea that he was drawn to the sudden spike in dragon slayer signatures since we don't know how long he'd been in Fiore just that it had to have at least been 6 weeks prior to Gildarts return for him to have prosthetic limbs and since Gildarts comes back somewhere between late October to end of November (since the S-class trials are early December) then it's realistic for him to possibly have shown up after the phantom fight which was probably around July to August time, if not earlier.

Plus if you had at least Natsu, Gajeel, Laxus and Cobra actively using their magic all within a concentrated area then it would be a bit of a beacon.

Plus that idea also links up with the three times Acno does show up. Tenrou, Zeref mentions that the fighting had lured Acno but that would be kinda weird since there's been way worse fights in Fairy tail's history so why does this one specifically stand out. Because there are four dragon slayers who all used their magic in at least one fight, three all within the same tiny radius at one point.

Same with Tartarous, Mard Geer says he's there for END but why would Acno be scared of END unless he knows it's Natsu. Zeref is canonically afraid of Acno, it's why he helped create the plan for his destruction. END is supposed to kill Zeref but killing Zeref isn't the same thing as killing a very invulnerable dragon. Regular magic can barely hurt the dragons from the GMG arc and Acno killed half the dragons there. So unless Acno knew END was a dragon slayer, why would he assume he could kill him.

But at that point, 6 of the seven dragon slayers were present in the same area and their dragons did pop out (after Acno arrived but they appeared)

Then he shows up in Alvarez with the goal of killing all the slayers which lines up with his dragon killing goal cause slayers become dragons and he doesn't know about the dragon soul technique so why not just get rid of the future dragons before they change and become a harder kill. (Plus he clearly didn't care Irene was dead since he just pounded her corpse into nothing upon finding her so eh)

Just caught up on Fairy Tail lore. For reference: I clocked out during the Grand Magic Games and kept up a bit during the time they were fighting that dark guild; the one with Gray’s Dad in it. Let’s get into some things:

1. I need anime to start giving their characters better motives. Zeref doing all that to get Natsu back? Acnologia becoming a dracocidal(LMAO) maniac because of an isolated event and the death of one child? Please be serious. This is like Obito deciding to stop suffering by starting a world war and killing billions of creatures. Anime logic is soooooo

2. Zeref and Mavis were both cursed by some God to be immortal for interfering with natural order? What happened to good ole “a life for a life”? And then having an old ass son that Zeref didn’t know was his? Also, Zeref ruling a whole kingdom and - I’m assuming - no one was aware?! They been talking about the ancient and legendary dark wizard Zeref since day 1 and he been a hop and a skip over

3. 400 years ago is not “ancient”

4. They’re not making dragonization seem like that much of an issue. I get that it’s hard to shift back to human but Zeref was able to do it with like a wave of his hand. And Zeref being so powerful and so much more skilled than someone like Irene doesn’t really make sense to me.

5. The power difference between Irene and Acnologia makes no sense to me either. She the Original Model, so why is he so much more powerful. Which dragon gave him their magic anyway? I get he eats magic(I’m assuming the same way the other slayers eat their specific magic), but it’s just not giving. And if Zeref is so powerful why he ain’t just handle this forever ago.

6. Why didn’t Belserion just jump into Irene’s soul like the other 5 did to their children? Irene had no reason to abandon Erza. She was human again and Erza would’ve been way safer with her than growing up in Rosemary Village.

7. Erza used to be so badass, but she hasn’t really had a power upgrade since damn near the beginning of the series(My memory fuzzy tho. it’s been over a decade). And her not being a dragon slayer or somewhat dragon doesn’t make sense. Irene was transforming when she was pregnant, was a dragon while the pregnancy was halted, and gave birth whilst a dragon - just in human form. Her “DNA” was definitely draconic when Erza was developing. Why did Erza’s dad do that to Irene? They had dragons on their side. Dragons giving them Dragon Slayer magic was how they were able to not be annihilated. Also, the being nice to the point of your detriment shit is so tired. She could’ve easily subdued those guards and her husband. She didn’t even have to kill them.

8. It took y’all 400 years to do this? Why?

9. Mavis. Is she dead? Is she alive? She died but yet was preserved in the Lacrima? I’m guessing Makarov’s father did something. Still a mess Her and Zeref fucked or is it some “Mother Mavis” and “August Christ” type shit?

10. Zeref and Acnologia’s power just make no sense to me. I’m so sick of the “genius” excuse. It’s giving bad fanfiction.

11. This 100 years war thing? God. What now? Someone’s coming from 100 years in the past? There’s 5 “Dragon Gods” who ran from Acnologia out of fear, but somehow became more powerful than him…? One of them is Natsu’s brother who has never been mentioned by anyone beforehand. And is he a human by birth or a dragon by birth? Let’s wrap it up please.💀

12. Also, if they really wanted to gag the live, they would’ve gave Lucy the Spirit King’s Key. She should not be going to fight Brandish thinking she can’t win. Erza shouldn’t have been fighting Irene with no chance of winning. Where’s the skill? The innovation? That’s the issue. Only Mavis and Zeref made new shit. Everyone else only used what was already available.

would anything have prevented james from dying, like stepping down as prince of danforth or family members being home? (weren't tatiana and the boys out on a trip when james died?) i know philip has the reputation of being the "troubled" one, but how long had james been suffering?

Yes, James's death was fully preventable and all that really needed to happen was for the "people upstairs" (aka Louis's team of sycophants that run Chester Palace) to stage an intervention for him to get some sort of mental care or have him hospitalized. Schuyler and James's team were on board with getting him help and trying to spin a narrative afterwards, however, Louis's coms team actively blocked this because they were worried that James's image would be damaged if the media found out he was in and out of a mental hospital.

They also convinced Louis that James was not actually "that bad" and Louis believed them. You have to understand, Louis's comms team is comprised of the people who originally saved his marriage and reputation after FarrahGate: he trusts these people with his life and he and Irene value their opinions like they are facts.

Another thing that prevented this was the fact that James was also insisting that he wasn't "that bad" which leads to another issue: James was very good at hiding his mental health problems and he never talked about it with anyone outside of maybe Tatiana and, oddly, enough Queen Katherine, his paternal grandmother. He was very different from Phillip, who often lashed out specifically because he wanted attention, James felt very embarrassed and was fearful of being "exposed" as some sort of fraud, so you can imagine getting him to actually open up would be hard.

I don't think James would have needed to step down. He wouldn't have wanted to because it would leave Nicholas, a minor, as heir (Ironic because that's what happened anyway, but I think in James's mind there was a difference between ending everything and giving up his birthright—what he was raised for—and still having a life afterwards).

I think he literally just needed a chance to get away, relax, get the treatment he needed for a year or maybe two, and divide his workload among other members of the family. He would also need to have his family change how they operate on an interpersonal level. At the time of his death, he was basically working non-stop and was involved in trying to fix several problems within the family and institution before they blew up into scandals (like Phillip and Courtney's marital issues, for example). It was too much stress added on top of a man who already had a history of depression from a family with a history of mental health problems. His depression also began to fuck up his relationship with Tatiana as well, so then there's that: It was like all the factors were stacked against him.

I think that James was probably struggling with depression for decades, but it worsened with age, especially when he began to realize that Louis was getting older and wouldn't be around forever.

Once it kind of "clicked" in James's mind that he wanted to die (this would have been in January 2017, around his 40th birthday) it was already too late. That was his point of no return. He became very peaceful between then and September, so much so that Tatiana mistakenly thought he was getting better. In reality, he was just feeling a sense of resolution while he was finalizing his will and leaving instructions for his funeral.

The family typically spends late June through to the end of August at Collingwood, the King's summer retreat. They leave Collingwood almost always on August 31 and resume public work just after Labour Day. James and his family own a cottage on the Collingwood Estate, you'll notice in posts set at Collingwood that there's the main castle looming in the background of the actual cottage where James would have lived.

On August 31, Tatiana and the boys returned to the city, but James claimed that he still had stuff to sort out at Collingwood. He promised his family he'd meet up with them in a day or two, and they honestly thought nothing of it since James is so meticulous that something like this wasn't out of character for him. This was James isolating himself from his family because: 1) he didn't want to traumatize them further or have them discover him after the fact and 2) he was ensuring no one could stop him.

Also note: that's the reason why Tatiana hangs out so much at Collingwood now that she's an empty nester: that's where she feels close to him. She also feels a lot of guilt for not insisting he stay close, which is sad since there's nothing Tatiana could have done to stop in the grand scheme:

Had Tatiana been able to stop him on September 1, he would have just waited until September 15, if someone stopped him on the 15th he'd have waited until October. So, I think it would have been instrumental for him to have gotten help before he reached that point something that, sadly, did not happen.

"I wanna see you," Hestia panted, a few seconds before she pressed another hungry kiss to her girlfriend's lips.

"Yeah. Yeah, go on--"

She was most definitely glad that Anna Marie hadn't worn one of her more complicated outfits. Both girls were soon wearing nothing but their underwear. Hestia laughed breathlessly when she saw that they were both in black cotton--and then she was back at it, pressing kisses everywhere she could reach without bending down.

"H-hes," the other girl whined. The two of them had only slept together a handful of times, what with Mx. Darkholme being a helicopter parent (Irene wasn't as strict, but she always knew when Anna was leaving specifically to see her lover, as opposed to her friends). Still, Hestia already had Anna Marie's number. She teased her some more, rubbing her through her underwear until--

"You ruined them, Annie. You might have to borrow some of mine," Hestia whispered. She had smudges of black lipstick all over her skin, but she wasn't the one blushing.

the month where i gave up my room for the romance of transience

which meant getting drunk almost every night at Irene’s . . . $2 PBRS, shots.

i got fake engaged this month, he claimed love at first sight,

we drew rings with Bic pens on

each others fingers and Instagrammed it;

i found my other magnet:

we’d lay on his cot in his studio without a bathroom door

and hold hands, wake up at 10:22 AM, he’s off to work—no

time for coffee,

peeing in front of someone isn’t that vulnerable.

i shared the toothbrushes of at least five people and carried deodorant,

a change of clothes, must and perfume. church pews make for

i still don’t know if i’m engaged but either way

Ok so I was looking for those old character refs that Mashima used to put in chapters that had name, age, magic, likes and dislikes and I couldn't find Rogue's for some reason so I ended up on TVTropes and started looking through the characters and ended up on Laxus.

So now I'm hysterical because what the actual fuck.

I was aware that he removed his lacrima as I'd seen the picture floating around but first of all, the guy full on ripped it out himself.

Obviously it meant he wouldn't die since his opponent was trying to kill him if he didn't do that but that had to hurt like a bitch.

But also he ate Alexion's soul to get his slaying abilities back.

So he isn't second gen any more because he doesn't have a lacrima anymore and he isn't 1st or 3rd since he wasn't trained by Alexion. He isn't fourth since they weren't human, they were machines given dragon slayer properties(Dragon cry) and he isn't 5th because he didn't physically eat the flesh of a dragon, just the soul.

So does that make Laxus a new 6th generation of dragon slayer. And is Alexion's soul actually dead or will this be like Wendy with Irene and Laxus is just gonna have this dragon talking to him randomly.

Also also, is Laxus now the lightning dragon king like how Natsu was given the mantel by Igneel or does Kiren hold that title as he was the one to kill Alexion.

Its implied that dragon titles are passed on to the ones that kill them as Acnologia killed to get his title and then said that Natsu would be the next king or he'd make a good king or something that I don't remember exactly. So does it apply to dragon eaters as well since they are dragon slayers.

I am still hopeful that Cobra, Sting and Rogue will show up (Probably unlikely as they have no reason to be in another country at this point in time since he isn't in Fairy tail and that's the reason Gajeel and Laxus were able to pop in and get so much attention (I mean backstory for Laxus' lacrima and him becoming a new generation and Gajeel fighting God Serena (even if it isn't him) is pretty good all things considered) but I really want them to appear because they also have lacrima so it would be cool to get maybe one more case of a dragon eater causing a lacrima to exist or even just get more info on the dragons that their lacrimas came from (because it is also now canon that the souls do cry out for their hearts so there is at least 3 other dragon souls out their trying to find their hearts if they haven't faded by then) and I just really want more screen time for them. Firstly I love Rogue's new outfit and want to see more, second I want to make fun of Sting's because his fashion sense is awful, third I am desperate for more canon Cobra content because he is used so little and it disheartens me (Cobra has had the oracion seiz and Kotsh arcs to be a villian, the dragon king festival to be a reluctant ally(non-perma death included), the tartarous arc to change his tune(even if Jellal giving them no choice but to listen to him or they go back to prison makes me feel uncomfortable. Just let them be free at last dammit), the Alveraz arc (which we don't get to see him fight August just that sorcier lost) and half of the Rhodonite spin off manga (Which some if not a majority of people haven't even read the three spin offs and if you haven't then you should because they are amazing and hilarious and I wish they made one for Cobra because the potential that was their because all three of the books had two stories so one could focus on his time in the seiz or a short section about his reflection in prison or something and the other his time in crime Sorciere as they all have at least 1 story set during Fairy tail's disbandment) so if we got more Cobra screentime I would cry and sing to the skies.

Besides, if we don't get anything about their lacrimas then no one is stopping me from doing it myself. (I'm still debating if I want to do a sequel when I'm finished 'the bringer of death and the apocolypse' that follows 100 year quest although I have thought about it and have a few ideas because I have in fact planned how this story ends roughly, just a couple things that may change between then and now) After all, every dragon slayer is prominent in this au........ eventually

Well I went on a real long tangent here. Oops. I wasn't joking when I said I have no one to talk to about this because the like 3 friends I have either aren't interested in the series or don't want to put in so much time to watch over 300 episodes.
