Sterek Date Me, Bryson Keller AU - Derek Hale is the captain of the basketball team and the most popular boy at Beacon Hills High School. At one of his parties, Derek Hale makes the remark about how he doesn’t see the point of dating in high school and so takes on the bet that he has to date a new person each week.

The rules:

1- He has to date the first person who asks him out on Monday, he can’t say no.

2- He has to date them for a week; until the last bell on Friday.

3- No one can ask him out twice; a single week is all they get.

4- Nothing physical: no hand holding, kissing, etc.

He has until spring break. If he loses, he has to take the bus to school for the rest of the year instead of driving the car he’s so proud of.

Stiles is in the closet. He hasn’t even told his best friend that he’s bisexual. But after a disaster of a morning, Stiles asks Derek out in a fit of anger. Derek laughs it off, thinking it’s a joke, but Stiles doubles down, not wanting Derek to think it’s a joke--wanting to be himself for once. Derek agrees--the rules never said he had to date a girl, anyway. He also promises to keep Stiles’ secret.

But as the week goes on, Stiles opens up to Derek and Derek opens up to him. Stiles realises he’s falling for Derek. He tries to protect his heart, to convince himself it’s all part of the dare, but he soon realises that Derek has feelings for him too.

But things quickly fall apart when Stiles’ dad finds out and freaks out. Derek and his family take him in while things blow over. Come Monday, Stiles’ world comes crashing down when the writer of the local newspaper (who’s obsessed with Derek) outs him to the whole school. Stiles tries to brush it off but it ends up being too much. He leaves school and walks home where his dad is waiting. When the sheriff finds out what happened, he storms into the school

Meanwhile, Derek shows up at the door with his face covered in bruises from fighting the guy who took the pictures of him and Stiles.

Stiles shuts down, watching his would burn down around him. Finally, he sees a notification on Derek’s Instagram: a photo of them (very clearly together, and very clearly in love). 

Stiles races to the place where the photo was taken, finding Derek there. Stiles joins him, drawing close to him and kissing him.
