also, to anyone wondering, I am totally borrowing from the at least attempted go at a backstory from the anime. So Priest Seto and Kisara met as kids, instantly formed their brother-sister bond (fight me, but that’s what it was), and then didn’t see eachother again for years

the biggest difference is that, in the fight with his evil dad, Priest Seto takes the hit and goes down so that Kisara can merge the two halves of her spirit and finally control her dragon while awake, utterly frying Akhenaden as Queen Mana quietly ‘woahs’ in the background

Though considering Atem (as pharaoh) had a shorter skirt than Mana did, his version of a DMG would probably be....really fanservice-y xD

Someone asked about the company name in the AU a couple days ago? I was on the road when I saw it, and completely spaced after that, so my apologies for not being able to answer you directly, but I DO really want to answer the question!

So, I’ve narrowed it down to either "Kisara Corp”, “DraCorp”

or

Kisara stares Gozaburo straight in the eyes, watching him cling pitifully to her newly hired bodyguard in an effort not to fall out of the open window behind him, a wicked smile playing about her face as she says "Actually.... I'm naming it KisCorp" just to watch the soul somehow leave her wicked stepfather’s body even Before Isono steps aside just enough to allow her the fateful shove.

If Mana plays Atem's role now, does that mean Atem plays Mana's role (Dark Magician Boy)?

Yeah! I haven’t settled on a name or color palette for what Atem’s DM would be (though I do like the cuteness of Dark Magician Boy), but he does take Mana’s role. With a bit of Mahaad too in that he’s her supportive-across-time spirit. ^^

IT DEPENDS! Like in BrooklynHype’s illustration, Kisara likes to wear her emblem on a huge buckle on her belt. But! On the occasions she’s doing formalwear without a belt, she prefers to wear a ribbon choker (with a little bow in the back) and a silver K on it.

Mana-Atem and Kisara-Seto roleswap AU, where reincarnated!Kisara takes Kaiba’s place as “put through the ringer repeatedly, comes out much less outwardly kind than before” teenaged CEO and international Dueling Champion who SUCKS at making friends. And Mana’s descendant, a plucky young duelist, is amiably possessed by her (Mana’s) ancient amnesiac spirit who likes fire a little too much at first.

notable differences:

Kisara’s spirit monster was an Angry Dragon of Decimating Vengeance, so obviously her dragon-hearted self would mean a Fiery lean in her actions, versus Seto Kaiba’s extremely icey demeanor. (for example, maybe gozaburo kaiba never had a chance to jump through the window. on purpose that is. whoops)

Mana would be a great deal more chipper in everything than “Yami” was. Which is adorable later on as she bonds with her partner, giving little WOOHOO!s every time they succeed. But also terrifying to anyone doing bad shit in Domino during the Season 0 vengeance phase. Like please picture any of those ‘the shadow game is over, pay up’ moments with a giggle in them.

Mana’s partner (Sa...chi...ko? Sachiko?) starting out an introverted and bored “regular schoolgirl” who loves games, but through repeatedly saving others, finds the inner confidence she needed to be a real go-getter in life.
