I know I’m gonna sound absolutely insane, but I’m trying to find a specific set of asks. I think they might’ve been yours? It was fo4 companions reacting to the SS being a synth. I remember I think piper and handcock got mad about it? I can’t find them and figured I should just ask

Here is a continuation my reaction “Companions react to walking in on Sole bathing” which you can find HERE!

This was Deacon’s response (I’ll include it because it’s only a continuation of one companion):

Deacon’s skin was set ablaze; the rash spread up from his fingertips and slowly consumed his chest. As he ran for the shower, the thin fabric of his shirt agonizingly rubbed against him. It hurt so bad Deacon tore it off mid-sprint. He wasn’t sure what the hell he touched rummaging through that dumpster, but he was clearly allergic.

He threw open the shower door and jumped in. In his painful haze, he didn’t stop to wonder why the water was already running. He was still oooh-ing andahhh-ing as he shred away the last of his clothes. As he tossed his wig off, he silently promised never to help Tinker Tom again. Never, ever, ever, ever -

Sole just blinked back at him. They were both naked in the shower only inches apart. It was hard to read Deacon’s expression from under his shades, so Sole gave him a curt wave. “Howdy, boss,” he said. “Be a dear and hand me that sponge.”

Sole responded to Deacon’s request with more blinking. They had come to an impasse; either they acknowledged their nakedness or they continued Deacon’s subtle charade. Either way, Deacon had the kahunas to maintain stark eye contact with his partner. His lips twitched - he was obviously in a massive amount of pain - but besides that Deacon was holding his own.

When Deacon didn’t make a move to leave, Sole picked up the sponge and gave it to him. Water ran down his bald head and fogged up his glasses, but he got to work. Deacon scrubbed his arms and chest with the sponge in small, quick movements, which covered the rash with bubbles. Sole still couldn’t believe they were watching him bathe right in front of them. The absolute madman.

“You still have your sunglasses on,” Sole said. Deacon acted like they had pulled him out of a trance, and he met their gaze with a smirk.

“They’re glued on to my face,” Deacon replied. “It’s actually a funny story. I was headed to The Third Rail to question a Mr. Handy about -”

“Deacon.” Sole cut his story short.

“Yeah, boss?”

Sole opened the curtain; exposing them both to a sharp gust of cold air. Deacon grit his teeth, and covered his chest as if someone else was going to see him naked. As if Sole wasn’t already doing just that.

“Get out of the shower.”

[[Preface: Okay, just a quick info, to be clear: me and Bagel are gonna be writing this shit together. This picks up from the ‘Harm’s Christmas Special’ (over HERE), specifically the ♥!Nick part, so if you hadn’t seen that, I’m afraid it’s a S.P.E.C.I.A.L. requirement to get this perk gem here. This is an RP, so if you decide to follow along as we go, I sincerely pity your impatient little sexy arse pretty head. Anyway, the rest will probably become clear soon. Again, we very much beg for replies with feedback, but discourage reblogs. We’re gonna be throwing this around enough.]]

Spending Christmas, and then the week after with Sole was probably the best thing Nick could remember. After he proposed, they took a day to be responsible adults and decide what they both expected out of their... union, for lack of better word. The next day they went to the All Faiths Chapel and got Pastor Clements to finalise their decision. The priest was a little reserved at first and maybe more than a little interested in how they were planning to consummate their marriage, but Sole reminded him of that one time he married Zwicky and Edna without asking any questions about how they planned to consummate it, so the pastor gulped down his reservations and performed the ceremony. And then Nick and Sole went home and spent the next week being adults even more.

As usual, as soon as January came, he caught another case, but this one was trickier than usual. As soon as he started digging into it, he saw that the amount of work hours spent chasing the contradicting numerous clues was going to send him on a wild goose chase around the entire Commonwealth and maybe even further. He was not wrong. He tried to be home as often as he could and welcomed Sole’s support as she patiently stayed with Shaun and listened to Nick’s rants when he tried to brainstorm ideas late into the night while Ellie skillfully made notes beside them before finally, long after midnight, excusing herself to go to Home Plate, which Sole let to her when it started getting a little crowded in the agency. Other times, Sole was doing some renovations upstairs, what with Shaun getting older and requiring his own space, while Nick racked his mechanical brain over Ellie’s notes. But then he caught the trail, the right trail, and following it flung him all the way to Capital Wasteland. He had never been there before, surprisingly, so it took him some time to find his way around. There were a lot of new people, a lot of new places, and a whole lot of detective work to be done; and with people even more mistrustful of him than the people of the Commonwealth usually were, it was going really slow. But he couldn’t wait to finally go home.

It was already February when he found the girl he was looking for, a feeble 20-year-old with a terrified gaze. It took him maybe five minutes to realise that she was, in fact, a synth brought here by the Railroad. He should’ve suspected that, given the ties to the usual Railroad routes and contacts he came across on the way here. He bid her farewell and good luck, and travelled the long way back to the Commonwealth to give her family the bad news. Well, not her family, though, right?

Just as dusk was falling on Diamond City, Nick, impossibly exhausted, finally stumbled down the dark alleyway to his agency-slash-home. He wondered if Ellie would still be up.

The key clicked in the door with the overly familiar sound. Nick went inside, but Ellie wasn’t at the desk. Meaning she must’ve already gone to bed. He sat down and took out the thick folder of case notes he’d taken with him on the hunt, fully intending to try and make sense of them and maybe save her some work with filing in the morning.

As for actual fics..honestly I recommend giving @mayihavethisdanse a look. (I just adore the way they write) or for a reader x character...ehh..I can’t think of a blog off the top of my head. I usually scroll through Ao3 at 2:00 a.m.

How was your day? I get the no muse thing ive been staring at the same 80 reacts for days xD

OMG bby don’t I know it! I feel guilty that I’ve only done a handful of my inbox and get to like two replies a day. I’m gonna try really hard to get more writing out there!

My day was stressful. I sent off my visa to move to another country next month so I hope they get it in time. Besides that, I’m currently drinking coffee and watching my little sister play Overwatch while I get to replies and finish my masterlist. :)
