Happy Lesbian Visibility Week !!! In honour of this week, I want to do something to celebrate it by posting more fandom content here on tumblr...!

I'm thinking of doing a three paragraph fic or maybe a moodboard, which one would be better? I'm thinking of doing it for Assault Lily, World Dai Star, Avatar: The Last Airbender and maybe for Miraculous Ladybug... I could also try to recommend some yuri manga, even if I don't think I know too much.

I hope this year we get more lesbian art we can enjoy, be it from fans — like us — or from mainstream midia!!

i found some old posts on my personal blog during the weeks after korrasami became canon

it happened when i was in my first year of college and having the roughest semester ever. i hadn't watched the lok finale yet bc i originally wanted to save it as something to look forward to once i finished all my exams. it was an accident that a post flailing over canon korrasami didn't get filtered through my spoiler blacklists, so i was on campus for a morning class when i found out that they were endgame. i had to pretend throughout my class that i wasn't losing my absolute goddamn mind until i could finally leave and watched the episode during my lunch break

i cannot understate how insane it was for me to witness korrasami be confirmed queer even despite nickolodeon's interference. i grew up adjacent to the original atla show (i didn't watch it when it was airing live in elementary school at the time, though i did watch everything once i was in high school), but even with the east asian and indigenous culture themes i never would have imagined that, not only one, but two women of colour would be in a relationship with each other. it was getting to the mid-2010s and glee was still the gayest show on prime time tv—though, to be completely fair, many other shows were popping up with more explicitly queer characters. still, the idea of wlw where both characters were woc in a kid's show was unfathomable

and yet

here we are, 10 years later, with korra and asami still going strong in the comics

i cried back then after i watched the episode and read bryke's posts confirming their relationship, and i could cry all over again bc i still can't believe we have this. i know we've still got a long way to go in terms of queer bipoc representation and storytelling, but it's still insane to see how far we've come

so happy 10 year anniversary korrasami! it's time to pop the biggest bottles for staying canon 🥂🍾🥂🍾

Why do so many people in this fandom hate the idea of yang in a suit, when it comes to the other girls I see nothing but excitement when there's art of them in a suit, but I always see complaints when yang gets drawn in a suit. That or artists will draw yang in a dress simply because they think it would be "stereotypical" for her to be in a suit. Its fustrating honestly. I remember when v7 was airing, that one week people thought the atlas ball was happening I kept seeing posts advocating for rwb in suits but not for yang, for her all I saw was those "broke: yang in a suit woke: insert other team rwby girl, in a suit" posts sorry for the rant it's just kinda frustrating to have it repeatedly confirmed by crwby that yang is masc/ the most masculine of the team and yet the fandom continues to ignore or undermine the little masc women rep we have in the show :(. It reminds me of how even though bumbleby is canon, people in the fandom still want other blake/yang wlw ships to be canon instead

Hey you people who hate Yang wearing a suit, show yourselves, I just wanna talk....

But seriously, I don't know how many more times I can repeat it (not aimed at you, anon) it's the lesbophobia.

Yang in a suit forces them to confront the fact that she's a masc lesbian.

It's the same with the wanting other wlw ships instead of Bumbleby. Those ships are fiction. They're not the reality. (Yes I know this doesn't apply to all FB or other non-canon Yang/Blake ship fans but it IS true of a lot of them. Also don't get pedantic with me, I know it's all fiction but only one ship is CANON)

halloween is coming up so you know that means halloween costumes. this was in my drafts and i completely forgot to post it. unfortunately i missed most of the week due to life stuff but i really wanted to do this day. @atla-wlw-week

Wrote a Sci-Fi AU Yueki fic for @atla-wlw-week and made these two designs for them on a sci fi character generator hehe

Since Suki was a little girl, scrappy and essentially raising herself in the rough and tumble streets of Earth Outpost KY0-SH1, her sights had always been set towards the moon. Little did she know that when she grew up, she'd fall in love with the moon chief's daughter.

(aka- Suki is a badass fighter pilot from earth in a secret relationship with moon princess Yue. Yearning and zero-gravity dancing ensues)

day 7: korrasami

this was my first time in participating in something like this, i’m really glad that i did. i feel like i was able to improve my digital art a lot, even though i’ve only just started drawing digitally (fyi, i am a better artist than my digital art reflects. check out my instagram @liavrz) so i’m glad i did this. thanks everyone for all your nice comments and support, too!

for my final drawing for atla wlw week, i decided to go with something simple. just korra and asami, finding comfort in each others arms. also, any excuse to draw buff korra and her big ass arms.
