Despite Taang not becoming a canon couple by the end of the ATLA, they'll forever be regarded as THE power duo. On TikTok and X, you'll see people continuously praise them and they're always being regarded as THE duo from the show.

When you think about iconic duos in the verse, they'll always come to mind.

• In battle, the trust that they displayed in each other and the harmonic cohesion of their moves, made it seem as though they were mind reading one another's next step. They never got in the way of the other and protected each other's back. In every battle that Toph and Aang were fighting side by side, they never uttered a single word, yet moved perfectly synced and coordinated.

• Outside of the battlefield, Toph and Aang are just kids having fun. Toph allows Aang to shed off the burdens of being the Avatar and influences him to just be a kid. She's the first one to agree with his dance party in the fire nation (and, subsequently, the first to point out and praise Aang on the significance that single night had on those students). They scam together and goof around. Not as the Avatar and the Beifong Heir fighting a war much larger than them. But as Aang and Toph, just two normal kids.

• Earth becomes Aang's second most used bending (and his best, right after air bending). So, it shows just how well Toph was as his master (and how much time they spent training).

For the billionth time, Taang had so many missed opportunities and so much wasted potential.
