i was thinking of also drawing jean and jeremy in this style (bcs i adore it and them) so let me know ppl if you want to see that :))

Finished the book and I just want to say: Thank you Nora! This was better than anything I would have expected and conjured up myself. Thank you for saving Jean in the very last draft and putting this book out for us to learn not just his story, but also how much he cares for the people around him. I loved every tidbit where he showed his care and devotion in small actions such as reaching for the television to stop Riko from bashing Neil’s skull in. Writing notes for Neil and Kevin to look at after the play with the Ravens, so that they can see who bullied them from the Raven blackliners. Caring for Kevin, Neil and even Andrew, saying how he will be court. I am so happy to have got to know him personally and once again I thank you for writing this masterpiece 10 years after finishing the Series (10 years since I became part of this fandom!). I cannot wait to see Jean care for himself as much as he does for others!

Do you ever think about the parallels between Kevin Day and Jean Moreau and Sirius and Regulus Black?

One was tortured to their breaking point and left and escaped to their found family and still have panic attacks about it and regret the situation but can’t go back and the other doesn’t have a choice but to stay. And every day they get punished for it but there’s nothing they can do because they think they deserve it. And they both just miss their brother?

Anyway I think about that a lot.

i haven’t seen this a lot but like i’m rereading aftg bc im about to read the sunshine court for the first time and it shocks me so much how much andrew changes in his relationship with kevin. like at some point they were each others shadows and then in book three andrew chokes him out for keeping secrets about neil… like i get it andrew had a deal with neil and another deal with kevin and they both are about andrew keeping them safe and like something was bound to happen in that relationship considering what it was built on but like. they were something to one another and andrew promised him to keep him safe. and andrew didn’t. andrew put him in danger for the sake of neil. do yall ever think that kevin for a split second saw riko in the place of andrew? that he saw another brother hurting him bc of something out of his control? something he Told neil to run away for? he knew it was gonna end badly and yet for the sake of neil, he still taught him. ugh and like it’s not on neil that andrew chose to respond with violence but it must make kevin feel some type of way

like, imagine playing exy, liking stickball or whatever, the vibe is a bit off from here and there, the raven are absolute maniac, the captain is an absolute self-centered arseshole whose personnality turns 180 degree on the court compared to his nice smile on tv

the relationship between him and kevin is sketchy af, like, brothers but brothers??? kevin looks blank in half of the pictures taken by paparazzi because he's trying not to act out against his abuser,

the whole story about the broken hands, even for die-hard fan, it must have been weird, like no words, boom broken hand, kevin leaves, riko doesn't say shit, a year later when kevin wants to play again, he wants to rekindle the link they had?

it's not just the fox, the ravens are a nighmare

thank god for jeremy's team, making the playground a bit more nice of fight on

if i played exy i would HATE the foxes. oooh look at us, a ragtag team of murderers and criminals, running straight at you on the court with a large stick :) rumour has it the goalie with the aggravated assault charges wears knives under his gear and the little redhead one was involved with fbi :) i think i would simply fake an injury and get benched
