Friday night. Peggy lay on her sofa looking for something to do. She picked up her phone and looked through her contacts. She came across a name. "Darcy" it said on the phone. "I'll call her." She pressed the dial button quickly. "Hi, Darcy! It's Peggy! Would you like to come over? Tony bought me an X-box and a game called Minecraft for my birthday and I was wondering if you'd like to play it?" Peggy laughed and waited for the woman's response.

Defend — I’ll write a drabble of my character protecting yours.

James walked Darcy home, as he had done every night the past few weeks. They had yet to run into any trouble though, apparently James was just an imposing figure.

That was gonna change tonight.

They walked along, hands intertwined, and James' head snapped sideways as he noted the appearance of a hooded figure with a gun.

"Give me all your money! Now!" James immediatly stepped in front of Darcy, before his hand snapped out, quickly knocking the gun from the other man's hand. He went to twist the wrist he was not gripping, but Darcy's voice stopped him.

"Don't you dare!" she snapped, before stepping forward to turn her glare on the would be mugger.

"And Ernie! I expected better of you! What happened to your job? At the Cheesecake Factor?"

The would be mugger sagged sadly.

"They laid me off."

Darcy softened.

"Aw, sweetie. I'm sorry. Here..." she dug around in her wallet, pulling out a pair of twenties, "Tell Maria and the kids I said hi. And don't worry, I'll help you with the job search."

She turned her glare to James. "Let him go now." she commanded. 

James silently did as he told, too busy gaping at her to really process anything else.
