Let's imagine Harry has no idea who you are in the beginning

Some random person that's always seen drawing, painting, creating something.

He's seen some of your works hung around Auradon prep in expensive looking frames

He doesn't approach you for a while, in fact Gil is the first to meet you

Gil takes the same art course as you so you meet there when Gil had a bit of a paint disaster

Harry was originally cautious around you because he thought you'd be some stuck up art critique kind of person who was going to complain about Gil

But when you instead explain that you could see what he was trying to do but the actual execution of it wasn't great , Harry laughed with you

Overall your first meet was a positive one that was the beginning of a laughter filled relationship

Harry would always see you sat somewhere, in some weird position, scribbling away in your sketchbook

He eventually spots what you are drawing, or better yet who.

Him

He crashes.

All thoughts, Gone.

He's just staring at it for a good 5 minutes before you have to click your fingers in front of his face to wake him up.

"H- How, no, why are ye drawin' meh?" Heat rises to his cheeks and he slowly brings his thoughts back to Earth.

He'd already had been developing feelings for you since you two met. I mean you were nice to his friends, kind to him, he let you meet his sisters at one point and they seemed to even like you. You are fun to be around, you check that he's taking care of himself, you make sure he's not too bashed up from the sports he plays. What isn't there to like?

"You have a pretty face, nice to draw." He takes note of the blush that grows on your cheeks and the way you look off to the side with a shy smile growing. "I draw the people I like, the people I'm closest to."

His heart almost stops. Did you just try to kill him?! 'cause clearly you aren't aware of the way you make him feel.

I headcannon Harry to be Pansexual, as a pan person myself, so he was kinda well known on the Isle for being able to flirt with anyone he wanted for various reasons

But let me tell you, not once had he had the air knocked out of his chest from a few simple words.

You take his silence the wrong way and begin packing your things to go find somewhere to wallow in your shame, but Harry just drops to his knees in front of you.

"Please, draw meh, whenever ye want to." He is on his knees looking at you with the happiest smile he can muster and almost puppy like wonder in his eyes. "I'll be yours, if you'll be mine?"

Okay that bit came out a little too easy to him, he didn't really mean for that to happen.

But he can't complain since you agreed!

Everything you create for him, he treats like it's the most fragile item he's ever come in contact with

He's always showing it off though he's so appreciative of everything you do so he wants to show the entire world

When you feel down for not feeling your art is good enough, he's oddly prepared to show every bit of art you've ever given him with reasons on what makes it perfect to him

He may as well be prepared with a PowerPoint presentation on every one of your works he's seen

I fact he's probably prepared one somewhere, pictures, effects, transitions, the whole shebang!

He draws too, almost forgot to mention. I've got a little headcanon of him always doodling pirates on cool adventures when he was younger on the isle. I also like to imagine that there was a time where Evie and Harry liked to draw together but Evie drew Princesses and dress designs and Harry drew pirates which created some childish clashing between the two. So they'd stopped almost as soon as they started their little doodle hangouts

He gives you pictures of you in multiple different styles, each time it seems like he's trying to depict you as an angel of sorts

He also draws the Uma and the crew but he comes to check that he got everyone right with you

He may or may not let you take pictures of him for references as long as he can do the same with you, he's also pretty good at photography so he loves getting new picture of you with some fantastical background making you stand out so much more

Uma

Uma knew who you were when she arrived in Auradon, she'd heard your music played at cotillion

She couldn't complain about it, it wasnt her usual style but it was new and she liked that

When she had officially arrived she would notice you all around

Playing music for parties, proper events, even just around the school

Despite her not meeting you she subconsciously finds her way to you

She listens out for you whenever she can

She ends up actually meeting you thought Evie

Evie was designing everyone's outfits for a party so your fitting time overlapped into Uma's time. Uma didn't mind and in fact took the opportunity to tell you that she'd heard you around but hadn't had the chance to meet you

From then, you became quick friends.

Her feelings developed the more time she spent with you, she just loves listening to your music

She'd like to learn an instrument that would compliment your style of music so you could play together

She helps you with lyrics whenever you need the help

She first finds out that you write songs about your experiences and the people around you by looking at the lyrics for some of your songs

She finds it sweet that although you don't directly mention people, you can share the way you feel to them to those who will listen

But then she finds a song that's for her

I mean who else would it be for, she's the person you spend most of your time with and she's the pretty pirate with blue hair

She definitely looks over the lyrics and gets so giddy that she's kicking her feet with glee, when you walk in and see her smiling at the page she doesn't stop smiling

She immediately asks what you mean and when you tell her she latches onto you

Basically, she asks you out right then and there

Who are you to deny her? Of course you accept

anon here, excited to read the essay! i asked you because i really like your takes and i see people in the more canon-adjacent parts of the marauders fanbase to complain about the extremes of the fanon one, though personally ive never really seen anything Too extreme, tho thats probably just tantamount to how well i curate my spaces i suppose (ive seen people say that fanon makes remus really “alpha” or makes sirius “bimbofied” and while ive seen hints of those extremes here and there, mostly it looks like it varies from person to person. ive just seen remus be more assertive than he probably is in canon, or sirius being more dramatic and “fem” than he probably is in canon). from what i know people like exaggerating events (the prank, etc.) or shifting some personality traits, but i dont really think thats a bad thing - i personally enjoy it. as long as they dont completely turn characters into stereotypes (though its a pitfall of every fandom, i fear), then whatever its just camp.

people are allowed to criticize stuff like that though, not taking that away from anyone, i personally just dont really care enough to be totally accurate esp since this hyperfix is kind of the bottom of the barrel for me LMAO. but i ask mostly bc im just curious to see what other peoples opinions are, and bc i think - especially in a fanbase like this - that its incredibly important to be at least a little critical with your media experience and reflect on it. saying “oh fuck canon we’re just having fun” is fine and all, i dont think anyone is stopping you, i think the personalities people have made up for characters that have zero screen time are super fun and the little ships are not everyones tea but like its fine. but even still, people should be way more aware of what characters theyre dealing with and from what franchise, and like reflect on any biases you may have. if youre making shit up for a random DE character, or retconning some sutff, okay, whatever, but be sure to not defend or like suddenly turn to really weird rhetoric. idk i think its the bare minimum in a fanbase like this

hello anon, I'm sorry I lost your ask. I was writing on my laptop and saved the draft (but apparently had to press on alt, and didn't do it) so I basically lost your question and half of my initial response. Ty for sending in another ask!! Not a bother at all, i find this very lovely :D

I was mortified to find that someone who isn't really a part of the fandom was perceiving me while I was complaining about fictional characters ahahaha. still, thank you for validating me and asking my thoughts on the mischaracterization of marauders!! I do talk about it daily, unfortunately, and without any prompt too. I'll try to gather all my thoughts here. I don't necessarily come across fanon as much as I did when I reentered the fandom and honestly, I can not be more with you about curating your space !! at the end of the day, I am just here to have fun, and really, pointing out these issues is not a good time at all! But I do post a lot about these, I can't be bothered to bottle up any thoughts lol.

I think the major issue I have with current interpretations is the underlying bigotry that comes along with it. There is a lot of unchecked problematic content that doesn't sit right with me.

Flanderizing characters in fandom interpretations is not limited to marauders fandom obviously. any popular media will face this because so many of us want to interact with one character so their traits are simplified for easier consumption and to find a common ground. this is also not limited to new marauders fandom. even in the older era, leather jacket-wearing, motorbike-driving quintessential bad boy siruis was a thing. so I won't nitpick on silly simplifications.

I just want to say that this isn't about me wanting everyone to have the same interpretations as I do about the canon. I follow so many lovely people and I don't agree with all of their posts. But, we all just simply share the love for these characters in the text and form an imaginary community. So, if we were to remove all the issues I will mention, it is still very well possible to have different personal takes.

Here are some of my issues:

Queerness, Gender roles, and misogyny:

My biggest problem is the representations of queer relationships. the fandom packages these couples in a strange and obvious heteronormative mold where the individuals fit into male and female gender roles. mlm and wlw are now an “f/m”* stereotype and characterization gets affected by the ships. Heterosexual relationships shouldn't have these limitations either, anyway. There is no one way to be a woman or a man. With queer relationships in particular, we have reclaimed the word queer now but it was used to describe the unconventional weirdness in the relationship. We didn't fit into the normal portrayal of a loving relationship. So, it really bothers me, even in fiction, that queer ships are popularly consumed in a way that represents a traditional template. (*this is not about gender itself but the gender roles! f/m can very well be queer!).

Let's take the biggest victim in this fandom: sirius.

Sirius’ portrayal concerning his gender and sexuality has heavily changed his characterization in the fanon. We have a character who is popularly headcanonned as trans and is it a coincidence that all their traits have changed from the og material? Sirius is suddenly vain, whiny, and dumb. Canon doesn't suggest this interpretation, it has to have stemmed from somewhere. It's the implicit bias. Sirius becomes a caricature of what a woman “should be”. When we focus on sexuality, there is the suddenly short twink sirius who has the same new traits- proving the point of fulfilling gender roles. These characteristics are a stand-in for the “female” role of the traditional relationship and it becomes more clear in the example of new age wolfstar. Remus is now the big alpha stoic manly man- the obvious stand-in for the “male” role. I could go on, it is apparent in the way you can see remus becomes a caretaker and sirius is taken care of.

The point I am trying to make is not to discourage gender/sexuality hc. I love them, keep them coming. But, why is female sirius not tall suddenly? It is not inherently bad at all to have a feminine and masculine pairing! But why do we need to change the constitutions of these characters to consume their relationship?

I'll keep dropping disclaimers because I hate being misinterpreted: I don't obviously mean every single person is doing this or that doing one of the things means doing the other too.

Race:

It is related to the point above. I was personally so excited to see the popular desi james hc. Even in fanon, I have never seen such a prevalent and encouraged brown rep, it was quite sweet to come back to that. But the problem is the change of characteristics that comes with race hc. Desi james is also a manly dude who is big and buff as opposed to the white petite and delicate regulus within jegulus ship. The melanin is directly proportional to the manliness here.

This is a propagation of race stereotypes. Maybe jegulus was a bad example because usually there are seen as blank templates. I will raise the argument that this can't be all we can come up with for blank canvases then. Either way, my point about race still stands when you repeatedly design interracial queer relationships so they fall into heteronormative roles. Anyway, same issue with wolfstar when there is a brown remus.

Canon, JKR, and hypocrisy:

Refusing to engage with source material is funny when we are picking characters out of it. the interpretations of the characters will be from their book. otherwise, they are just original characters with the same name. you can add onto the traits and a lot of the time fandom comes to a consensus regarding a few things! This is common in every fandom but I don't think I have seen such reluctance to not only critically engage with media but also shame others who do. We are surely in special circumstances with this fandom but I really do think jkr and how we navigate the fanon should be two different things.

Most of us don't condone jkr or even remotely agree with any nonsense she spews on the daily. Most of us can see the problematic nature of even consuming this media and staying in this fandom. It is one of the reasons I even left the fandom. Most of us are simply doing our best to engage carefully while distancing ourselves from her. So, it is quite laughable when some love to take the moral high ground for rejecting canon while still engaging with the same characters. (the rejection of canon in question being sirius’ height, lol)

(Sirius' height is quite a polarising fact apparently. Unfortunately, the point about height is also discussed so disingenuously. When I talk about sirius’ height, it is not really about him being 6 or 7 feet. It will not really impact my life. It is about what it represents. He is bimbofied as he becomes short. It's an issue of "WHY" again.)

Of course, this isn't an accusation of intentional bigotry from everyone here. The problem with this fandom is that the people in it tell themselves that it is progressive and to run away from the problematic creator as much as possible. We are not progressive if all we do is co-opt queer and racially diverse identities on such a superficial level. The bias manifests in subtle forms. I just wish we check ourselves from time to time, that's all.

There is a lot of hostility when we try to discuss issues in the fanon. Things are interpreted in the most misguided way to just win the argument. Like I said in the beginning, we all just want to have a good time. That also means creating a welcoming space for vulnerable groups (especially when the same identities are used to pat yourselves on the backs for inclusivity points). I didn't even cover everything btw, I just wrote about the issues that concern me. queer and poc also partake in biased representations, I also probably have some biases that I didn't identify yet. I just think it would be super neat if everyone tried to make an effort to unlearn and engage with media without hurting anyone.

I have other issues but they are all just super subjective opinions and smth I can ignore when others do. ex: I really don't like giving tragic backstories to bigots in the story. Not every supremacist loser has a trauma that forced them into oppressing people! There is also "tropeyfication" of all major ships. Just an overall issue in the reading world I think, though.

Anon, I didn't mean to make it preachy in any way btw. You probably asked for a silly little rant and I went full lecture mode, so I apologize for the tone shift!! I mentioned these because every other issue can be brought down to these imo. Like you said, I also don't have any fixation on everything being canon-compliant. I only complain by asking about the thought process behind certain kinds of changes, if that makes sense! I hope this wasn't a drag really and you can see where I am coming from. This huge post and the content can make you think, “who cares this much?” or “it's not that serious” and yaa it really isn't that serious. The characters aren't real but we all are. the identities projected are real. so, it does matter to talk about this.

Alright folks, we got sad pathetic dweeb men who are literal boy flop failures.. but can get some noise for my girl flop failures? No? Hello?

Have an idea of where Art and Patrick take interest in a girl that has literally ZERO experience in sex. I mean NO intimacy experience once so ever. Had her first kiss in middle school, maybe even younger or older (I had mine in kindergarten.. no idea what the hell I was on) and that’s the only “action” she’s ever had.

Butttt unlike other virgin!reader type scenarios where the girl is like open to learning more, this girl is just.. not. Like she’s extremely uncomfortable with the aspect of sex and like the whole idea around it.

Like the very thought of getting naked around someone fucking freaks her the fuck out and she’s just not super into it. Hell, I might even sprinkle in the fact this bitch watches porn and STILL doesn’t want to have sex cause it’s SCARY.

And Art and Patrick are so so confused by this (cause they are men whores so they couldn’t ever understand). Like this girl is genuinely drop dead fucking gorgeous, anytime she gives them an ounce of attention it immediately makes them want to drop to their knees and beg her for more. Maybe even beg her to tell them what it would TAKE for her to date them, and.. she doesn’t even want to fuck them? Doesn’t want to touch them?

Patrick is a bit freaked out a first, as he’s ripped out of what is common for him. The norm. She’s isn’t pushing herself onto him, which sure not every chick does (some play hard to get) but even then there’s a bit being played. An end goal that is going to be reached, an extra long route to a trophy he knows he can obtain. He’s a dirty dog, he knows what he’s for. And yet even with all his experience he still doesn’t see what she’s trying to get at, doesn’t know why she won’t sleep with him and it fucking irks him.

Poor guy thinks it cause maybe he’s not trying hard enough? Or maybe he’s coming on to strong? He’s basically running back and forth trying to make something work, but every chance he tries it just flops.

He tries to be flirty casual. He pokes fun at her whenever he can, light hearted jokes that always force a heated blush on her cheeks. Though the jokes slowly turn to just full blown flirting, no longer really made out to tease her and she’s not even sure if it’s out of humour anymore.

And like sure she’s blushing and all mushy for him but she still.. won’t do anything? Like she’ll attempt to flirt but it’s mostly just her throwing jokes his way and awkward laughing.

And he’ll be doing things like try to trip her whenever they’re walking together just to give a lame punchline, “Falling for me already?” and she’ll respond with something like, “No dick face you tripped me” and push him away

He’ll always make strong eye contact with her, likes to see her stutter mid sentence or try to keep her gaze somewhere else, shit eating smile on his face. Even goes further by pointing out the fact that she’s shit at keeping eye contact, and like the dick head he is, forces her to make eye contact more often with him whenever they do talk.

And she does it, happily he notes, but also tells him that his blue eyes freak her the hell out and gives an entire rant on how blue eyes are far scarier to stare at than brown. Which.. sorta hurts him but whatever.

Hell, it got so bad she once complained about people who chew with their mouths open— something I KNOW Patrick would do, and he immediately learned how to stop that habit. Anything to make himself more attractive to her, more wanted. He makes her all mushy for him and blushy which does successfully get him to be more involved in her life, his exact goal, but doesn’t quite land him a spot in her bed.

So he decides to showcase his physical attributes more.

He invites her out to all his practices, a place where he can actually show off. He plays harder then what is needed, crushing whoever he’s practising with, which only makes whoever is it get pissed at him but he doesn’t really care. Whenever it’s particularly hot outside, he’ll take off his shirt and throw it off somewhere.

Makes him feel good whenever he sees her try to NOT look at his sweaty figure or his abs that look like there were crafted by the gods themselves

But it also. Doesn’t. Work. Doesn’t do SHIT. And it pisses him off cause like.. hello? He’s giving it his all and she seems to be liking it. He once asked if she found him “easy on the eyes” and she straight up said, “everyone finds you easy on the eyes. You’re the eye drops to my itchy dry eyes,” which he thought was a sex joke but didn’t pry, and still.. nothing. Literally nothing. And at first he thinks it’s just him, maybe he’s just really not her type, but once he sees Art struggling as well, he seems to grow at ease.

Art.. is very much a sweetheart. Dude is not as much of a whore.. I mean he is, no one gets a arch like that from nowhere but.. he’s not exactly fucking bitches left and right. Not like Patrick does.

He’s as soft as you’ll get from the duo, the ice to Patrick’s fire. He’s more chill about everything, less pushy and less flirty. He likes to make everything go slower.. but he can still nip at your heels.

He tries the slower route, figures that if the whole flirty act isn’t working for Patrick than it won’t work for him, so he tries something different. He tries to be a gentleman. Whenever he sees her carrying something he’ll immediately take it from her which always garners a bit of protest that he easily dismisses. He asks her about her day, active listens with small nods and “uh huh’s”. Whenever she tells that she’s been stressed lately, he immediately offers some support, asks if she needs a shoulder to cry on or a day to just hang out, which she happily agrees to. He pushes a bit, just to see how far he can get, when he asks if she needs a massage (wink wink) but she only responds with “mm, I��m okay. I’ll just book an appointment somewhere” and doesn’t even think twice to turn him down.

He plays the whole good guy act up to a ten, practically friend zones HIMSELF in hopes it’ll get him somewhere. Usually he would think such a thing is stupid, doesn’t think being a friend would ever be a good idea when it comes to wanting to be with a girl, but he’s quick to understand where exactly she’s coming from, because he was there too. Took him forever to actually lose his virginity, abit longer than Patrick took. The whole aspect was scary, something he didn’t know how to dip his toes into, not until Patrick helped out what that as well (just like the whole jerking off situation). It’s kinda what he thinks she needs, someone to just help ease the process, kinda show her the ropes? But even then he isn’t certain.

At some point by the act of pure fucking luck his plan works successfully and they grow really close, heck closer than her relationship with Patrick (which only upsets Patrick further). They grow to a point in their friendship where he can easily ask her views on sex and what she wants in a partnership, and it’s like he struck fucking gold because he finds out EXACTLY where the issue is.

She goes on to explain how she’s horrified of sex and basically how it’s weird to do such a thing. She isn’t exactly..

Opposed to it.. but isn’t thrilled by the idea. Even goes as far to theorise she could be asexual, but quickly drops that idea which intrigues him a bit. He burrows into more questions, tries to string out all her thoughts on the matter, really tries to understand.

“I don’t know, I’m just… scared? Scared it’ll go wrong.. or they’ll be too much.. or-“ he cuts her off before she can finish, “too much?”

They make eye contact then, first time since the subject was brought up, “yeah.. like.. well-“ she groans, “nevermind.”

He only smirks in response.

“Yeah.. I get what you’re saying,” he rasps out, smirk still in place as his eyes remain fixated on her.

If he notices her shift in her seat a bit he doesn’t bother to mention it. He doesn’t bother cause he’s unsure if it’s just her adjusting herself or.. something else?

“Pants are fucking itchy-“ his question is answered without him even asking, and his fantasy of what it could’ve been is quickly crumbled.

ok so. SO. after vibrating in my seat and fantasizing abt lying down in the middle of the floor for the rest of time as i think about this concept, i have come to the following conclusion: mixtapes. and i mean in the classic "hey i made you this mixtape" sense

reader and jihoon are both producers for the same label and don't really interact that much at first. in fact, they don't actually even meet for the first time until soonyoung invites them both to his birthday party and they start talking shop, bonding over teasing soonyoung, and then ending the night with a promise to grab lunch together sometime.

fast forward a couple of months and they are officially Friends. they've managed to start a tradition of getting lunch together once a week and bitching about various work bullshit, and they've also started to hang out together in group settings after realizing they have more mutual friends as well

reader is the first one to send jihoon a song. it's a few hours after their weekly vent session, jihoon having taken up most of the time complaining about shitty higher-ups giving ridiculous deadlines and stuck-up idol wannabes trying to tell him how to do his job without having a clue about what his job actually is, and he gets a message from reader that says "i feel like this fits ur current mood" with a link to a song. [cw the song linked has a somewhat startling gun sound] he clicks on the link, curious, and then bursts out laughing after a few confused moments of listening bc that was NOT what he was expecting, at all

and that's how it starts, really. a few days later, he sends reader a song with the caption "how much u wanna bet soonyoung would choreograph something to this just bc it has the word 'tiger' in the title" / "no bet he absolutely would" / "ur no fun :P" / "sorry can't hear you i'm sending it to soonyoung as we speak"

pretty soon they're sending songs back and forth almost daily "what are ur thoughts on this" / "?? i don't speak french" / "and?" / "...ok yeah this is p good" "is this kinda close to the vibe you're trying to get for that one group you're working with?" / "not quite. but that's ok bc IM Vibin with this one" "i need u to stop whatever ur doing and listen to this with the bassist bass you can get with w/ ur setup" / "ok??" ... "holy shit" / "RIGHT?"

fast forward another couple of months, and reader shows up to jihoon's studio with a can of coke zero and a flash drive. "what's this?" / "this, my dear woozi-ssi, is going to be the solution to our creative blocks" and then reader goes on to explain their idea: they both have tracks that they're stuck on (personal, professional, or otherwise), and so they're gonna 'sisterhood of the traveling pants this shit' ('i literally have no idea what you're talking about'). aka: reader put some files they're having trouble with on this flash drive, and jihoon's gonna add any notes/ideas he has and then give it back with some of his own trouble files on it. rinse and repeat

and not only does it work ("ohmygod i've been trying to figure out that bridge transition for DAYS THANK YOU") but it also becomes Their Thing. like, they're used to collaborating with other writers/producers/etc bc it comes with the job, but something about this silly little flash drive... feels Special. [*cough*it's because they're catching Feelings*cough*]

tHIS IS GETTING SO LONG FUCK OKAY other things i would include in this fic: - one noticing the other has been working on a lot more love songs lately (or maybe a lot more Sad (read: pining) love songs) - reader has a bad day at some point and they end up losing the flash drive and they have a breakdown over it (jihoon comforts them and also helps them find it we love emotional hurt/comfort in this household) - scenes where they're individually waxing poetic about the other to different friends and the friends are like "bro. ur in love with them" "uh, no? they just have a great work ethic and a great taste in music also their lyricism is just—" "you. are. in. love." "i admire them professionally!

AND THEN THE CONCLUSION!! one of them decides to bite the metaphorical bullet and confess their Feelings. this could be either of them, but i'm gonna go with jihoon bc i can. so of course he can't just say "hey i love you" like a normal person, he has to confess through music. so he goes out and buys a new flash drive (with a really cute cover bc he knows they'd like it) and puts two folders on there. the first folder is full of instrumental files and is titled "all the times i couldn't find the words". and the second folder is titled "and all the times i could" and it's all love songs he's written inspired by/for reader

he sneaks into their studio and leaves the flash drive on your desk while you're in a meeting, and then he Waits and waits and waits some more until it's time to go home and it's been total radio silence and his heart feels like it's been crushed. so he starts to head home in the rain (bc i am a cheesy bastard and love rainy confession scenes) but after a few minutes of walking he hears shouting behind him and he turns to see you sprinting at him while screaming his name and before he can get a word out you're clutching his shoulders, soaked to the bone and asking "do you mean it? the songs, did— do you really mean it?"

and all he can do is nod because his heart still hasn't quite found its way back to his chest yet, and then he can't nod anymore because you're kissing him. you're kissing him, and he drops the umbrella he was holding and you're both kissing in the rain bc you're both obnoxious helpless romantics and "y/n-ah, i mean it— i mean it. i love you"

"i love you too, you stupid romantic bastard oh my god"

"hey, you're the one who started kissing me in the rain"

and it ends like the cheesy romcom this turned into bc i couldn't help myself and i need to lie down in a puddle of feelings now k thx

I know exactly how you feel! All the LOA's campaigns look so much fun, and it's so hard to choose which one to watch. I'm currently watching Uprooted as well. My plan is to watch through season 1, catch the lives of season 2 when I can, and then watch season 2 straight through (because I usually end up missing the lives or constantly getting distracted). I also really want to watch Witchlight because it looks so good and I've heard so many good things about it. But at the same point, Icebound looks so interesting, and from what I've seen, Derek makes a GREAT GM, but Edge of Midnight sounds really good, too! It's impossible to pick just one because each campaign has so much love and creativity put into it, and everyone's characters are so interesting and funny! WHY ARE THEY ALL SO DAMN GOOD AT THIS?!?

EXACTLY!!!! Like, I'm so glad they put so much time and effort into these amazing campaigns, you can see the love and labor they put into them. But also, I can barely commit to watching an episode or two a day, which is hours of time. I absolutely love that they have their sessions, which clearly last much longer than the videos they post, but also, there's just so much content.

I was looking at the amount of episodes in each campaign and took a sigh of relief because the main few (Edge of Midnight, Icebound, Stardust Rhapsody, and Uprooted, even Curse of Strahdanya) all have, like, 20 episodes, which is so much easier than Once Upon a Witchlight, which is in the 50s now. I also really want to watch their older stuff, but my God, it's just a process

Im about 33 or so episodes in on OUaW and I've been watching maybe 4 weeks, inconsistently, but yea, it's just a lot. I'm glad to have it tho, because I am burnt out on normal TV shows and their 8-10 episode of maybe 40 minutes of you're lucky

I complain a lot because I'm a very VERY critical person, sadly, but I absolutely love everything they put out. So much love and happiness. And everything I watch makes me smile like a buffoon because they're just such wonderful people and I'm glad I get to be a part of their campaigns, stories, and their expansion into better things. :D

It was around 2-3 am and the sound woke one of the lovers with panic.

“Rosie!! Wake up! There’s a sound coming from downstairs!!”

“Ah..” “ that must be washing machine, i started it before..” rosie on the other hand having a hard time to wake up, or to care according to y/n.

“For god sake i- did you have to do that in the middle of the night? We have all day…”

Girl complained but only would echo into the room and get back to herself while her girlfriend already fall back to dream… what was the point?

You see, long time couples sometimes cannot stand each other. Sometimes everything is so still where you were expecting to be all fun and happy. Which is kind of true though. They are happy time to time and would scream to each other the other time.

Rosé is organized person, she’s structured and right on time with everything. She has already planned her next week meal. And y/n is more different and complicated than that. She wants to watch a movie right now and she would and you wouldn’t catch what’s her next move. You, me, bed now and bang bang bangity bang? No, Rosie cannot be active after dinner for 1 hour. Y/N has learnt to wait.

She has learnt a lot to fit in rosé’s life. She fit in just right that it’s her world that Y/N lives in it. Who was she before she moved in? Everything seems alright at some point but is it? Y/N went back to sleep wondering all the answers.

Next morning Y/N woke up like she was just born. Rosé already came back from her morning run and left the curtains full open for her girlfriend to have all the sun light of the morning. Vitamin D at it’s full potential, however Y/N is not.

“Did you have breakfast?”

She startled her girlfriend who was changing and didn’t know she woke up.

“Jeez… how long have you been awake?”

“Just enough to admire all the muscle show you put on” there, Y/N is smiling full even her eyes are not quite open.

“I had breakfast before i left, its actually almost my lunch time”

“You can join my brunch, my lady”

“You take hour to get up, i’ll probably catch you on your brunchinner”

“Is that supposed to be brunch and dinner mix?”

“I’m not good with words just.. you got it”

Y/N smiled and gave up having a meal with her girlfriend cuz she feels like she’s an affair between her girlfriend and her schedule. However rosé has no idea what those small things mean to her gf and she get things on her way.

Saturday and sunday had passed and monday morning Y/N left for work early. Rosie has all the time to clean places alone.

Bzzzz bzzzz (its supposed to be phone ringing)

“Yeah?..” “okay i’ll check it on the website itself” rosé grabbed your computer to mail files to Y/N because her irresponsible ass forgot.

Alright… google… search bar… search history.

‘Why my girlfriend is not the same?’

Rosé stared at the screen for 5 min at least until Y/N called her again.

Rosé has started to contemplate everything after the first shock. She never realised? But Y/N has been with her for years. They maybe don’t wake together and have breakfast together or dinner or make out or… did they being back to friends? What kind of relationship was that? How could she not tell rosé?? How could she- rosé went through all of it until another phone ring from you wake her up.

“Rosie im asking a favour what are you doing? I’m gonna get fired and i’m having all the panic for god sake its just a file! Please!!”

“I’m sending it now” Now rosé sounds so small that Y/N thought it was about her voice tone.

“Okay i got it thank you, look i’m sorry if it was harsh, i got panicked and all and you know my boss with this goddamn presentstion everytime like it’s-“

“Y/N?”

“Yeah?”

“Come home when you get off from work”

“Okay… are you really that hurt? Look i’m sor-“

“No it’s all okay, just, for dinner”

“Oh who are you and what did you do to my gf? Because i….“

Rosé is still shocked how Y/N is trying to be silly, funny, all laugh like she’s on holiday at clouds floating around lightly. Rosé cut it short and hung up the phone. She was actually dripping tears.

She cried good. How long has it been since they drifted apart this much? Was she neglecting her much? Was she in her world too much to see the girl sleeping next to her every night?

Questions took a new turn and it was rosé this time. For how long? ….

rosé realised it’s been 2 and a half hours since she was thinking everything and every detail. She decided to get up and plan a delightful night for Y/N. Her favourite food and quality time. They both could use that.

Then around afternoon, she heard the car engine coming from the front while she was staring at rhe blank. She got up immediately to welcome you at the door. She’s not sure what to do with all the overwhelming information she got today but she had one goal, to make you happy tonight. So she waited for Y/N to open the door and suprise her.

“Jeez!!!!! Rosie! What are you doing? Are you about to go out? You scared me”

“Gosh you scared me too, just wanted to suprise you and give a hug. I missed my gf!”

“Seriously what got into you?? Did you watch titanic again and got into your romantic era? It ain’t like you”

And rosé hugged her gf so tightly. She never realised how precious this small thing is.

“Woah baby, did something happen to you?”

“No… I just wanted to appriciate you. Get change and we’ll have dinner, okay?”

“Okay baby, thank you, this is so sweet of you! I’ll be right back. I love you!”

I love you.

What was the last time they use that? What if something happened to her and would she remember the last time they actually appriciate this love? She has to shake herself, she can’t loose it all now. It’s ‘her’ night.

“Woah today you saved my life you know? Idk how did i forget my laptop at home. I’m getting old, babygirl”

Did she? Save her life? Cuz she faced the exact opposite fact today. She actually made rosé really happy but rosé blamed herself for not appriciating it.

They ate all the food and rosé listen Y/N talk about her day. And she listen to her appriciating rosé’s effort on tonight and how happy she makes her. She has to learn to return this love.

“I thought you were going out with that outfit, did you wear this for tonight only?” Rosé knows how to make Y/N crazy with skirt and high heel combination even though it’s silly to wear them around the house, she wanted Y/N to get in the mood

“Only for you, Y/N girl”

“You look, like you could kill 5 people from heart attack from directly looking at you”

Rosé took Y/N’s hand and pull her in closer. Lips on lips and its like the last day on earth. Hands on each other like it’s the first touch.

“Ah, okay sorry, we can stop here since we had just dinner and you plan your sex time according to that for some reason. You’re such a weir-“

“Get on my tigh.”

“Wha- like sit? We can get to the couch, i think survivor is playing tonight”

Gosh, how long they have been apart from each other for her to think anything but sex from rosé.

She just sometimes forget how to hold each other. Y/N, already passed out on bed, makes rosé stare at her long enough. She curled up next to her and cannot control her tears. Emotions are too overwhelming and she has not digested any of it. Where would she go to relieve all of it? Who she talk to? Confront Y/N? The night flies away with thoughts…

After days went by, Y/N woke up to the saturday morning with her girlfriends’ arm all around her. She has no idea why rosé cling into her all week out of nowhere. She’s not complaining but she cannot stop wondering why. Just a week ago, rosé seemed like she would avoid her at all cost. But today, they were truely invincible.

“Y/N?”

“Mhm?”

“Good morning”

“I love you”

….

“I love you too”

You see, rosé couldn’t confront her mostly because she didn’t think she would able to handle it. Who can? Instead she tried to give her all. Everything. Although it didn’t take much to things get back to their abnormal normality.

“I’m off to work, take care okay?” She peck a kiss

“Okay love, you too!”

She was about to leave but she came back to rosé and give her a passionate kiss this time but rosé already turn back to take the ringing phone

I’m trying to reign in my excitement for the Pokemon legends Z-A game since it’s coming out next year

So INSTEAD

I made a bingo prediction sheet. A large chunk of these are just things people have been speculating/hoping for, some are things I want, a few are things I do not want, and a few of them purposefully contradict each other

With some long winded, too detailed explanations for most of them under the read more :]

Mega Charizard Z: [/hj] For the love of fucking god GF I do not want to see this lizard anymore. I know you’re obsessed with him. I wish to be free.

Kalos Starters/Random Mix of Starters: I feel like even though we had a random mix in the first Legends game, it’s not a guarantee that they’ll be doing the same for this one; I think it’d be cooler to finally give the main three Megas instead, but I wouldn’t complain if it did end up being a random selection

Tera Raids of the box legendaries in SV: They were skipped over when they brought the older legendaries in the dlc; please, I would like to see my children again

[Fade to Black, SFX, Fade back in]: Since you’re giving the game an extra year and not forcing the Devs to spew out the game as fast as possible, that means we’re getting a little bit better animations, right?

Set in the Future/Past: I’ve seen a lot of people go back and forth over this because of the crumbs we were given, so I figured I’d put both on here so I could win either way 💅💅

Megas are the next Nobles: I’m just going on a whim since this is only our second Legends game, so who actually knows what the plot points are going to be

Slightly Cleaner Art Style/Exact Same Art Style: This is another one I’m personally hoping for, I did really like the way the last one looked, but some things were a bit weird to me, like the light purple shadows on everything. When the trailer comes out I’ll be changing this card once I have my answer

AZ. In general.: I just wanna know more about him. Crumbs, even. Gimme info on that weird ass tall fucker.

New Megas: This is gonna be a free space, and immmm really hoping it is a guaranteed free space

Ultimate Weapon Plot Point: The emotions I felt coursing through my pre-teen body when the weapon fucking rose from the ground and knocked over several houses? Gimme that but multiply it.

More Lore of the War: Kind of a filler space, but also I thought it sounded funny when I typed it out

Emmet in Paris/Ingo: A lot of people immediately jumped to the conclusion that it would be Emmet becoming French for this game, but I’ve seen a few arguments[jokingly] for Ingo, so I’m covering my bases and putting both on here. I’m not getting my own hopes up, I’m going to assume neither are in the game juuust in case

New forms for the legendaries: I am a Gen 6-er who’s starving for crumbs. I never see my legendaries anywhere. I think Megas would be fuckin badass but honestly I’ll take a singular grain of anything

Xerneas and Yveltal fighting: God of Peace vs God of Destruction, fighting? Unheard of. Revolutionary story idea. I’d eat it up.

Diantha’s Ancestor: We got to see one champions ancestor, let’s see another’s :D However. They must be fashionable. This is non-negotiable.

Mega Mewtwo Z: Exact same as Charizard, I feel like if you give one a mega you’re obligated to give the other one as well, or else people will complain or question it too much. I put them in the same column because I feel confident that you can’t have one without the other

Volo: A lot of people are speculating this because he says some stuff after you fight him, and while I would definitely prefer to have a different antagonist for this game I wouldn’t really complain about it either

New Legendary/Returning Mythicals: Maybe a new one kinda like how we got Enamorous, but im mostly hoping that the mythicals come back for this game because I’m trying to have a living Dex in Pokemon Home and I have NONE of the mythicals. Like at all. I am not selling my soul to get them

Basically a what if Dolores and Antonio were adopted by pepa and Felix, also gaining Camilo as sibling!

It’s set 12 years before the canon time so Dolores and Isabela are 9, Luisa is 7, Camilo and mirabel are 4, Antonio gets age swap and is 1 year old! The triplets, their spouses and Alma are also younger ofc!

And in this au they get their gifts of the age of 8, gifts like strength, weather manipulation, hearing etc. can be turned off and on by command and they still help the community but not like get forced into it, they do it if they want to

Isabela was happily walking around the town, she finished her chores earlier the day so she roams around the town, of course only near where julieta was. She was walking around with a mission, she was allowed to be in certain places alone and freely, she would describe it as fun…if only she had friends. Isabela has a hard time making friends, most of them turn out to be only mean people, so it’s her mission to find the perfect friend.

After an hour of her search Isabela started to get frustrated, she hadn’t found any luck. She made her way back to her mother’s stand and sat down next to where julieta stood. Julieta noticed her daughter’s sad face “what’s wrong mija?” She asked. Isabela pouted “I can’t find a single good friend.” She mumbled. Julieta smiled “Don’t just give up mija, im sure just with a bit of patience and a bit more searching you will find a friend. Just search a little more, for me?“ Isabela looked up to julieta and stood up with a huff. “Okay Mami but only because you said it.“ she said.

So Isabela searched for half an hour till she finally found the perfect friend…in the forest near casita, the person wasn’t in the forest deep, she was still visible but you wouldn’t notice her that easily. Before Isabela approached this person she wanted to spy a bit. This girl had mixed skin which had some injuries, dark brown curls that seemed to be damaged, brown eyes that looked pure, and a soft face that reminded her of her mama, its a bit funny because this girl resembled her tia more than her mother. The girl wasn’t alone, there was a little boy too. He had dark skin like his tio and his curls were the same. Dark and tight, but like the girl, he also had injuries and damaged curls. Maybe they were just clumsy like her papi, she didnt think too much about it of course.

After her spying she decided that its time to intoduce herself. She made her way to them with a big smile. “Hello!“ Isabela said, the girl got startled by the voice and stared at Isabela with fear for a second before she calmed down. “Uhm..hi?“ she raised an eyebrow. “Im Isabela, what’s your name?“ she asked. “Dolores.“ she avoided eye contact.

Dolores was a bit akward if isabela‘s honest but it��s probably because she‘s shy, right? “And who‘s that?“ Isabela pointed to the little boy. “That’s my brother, Antonio.“ she waved his hand to Isabela with a smile. Isabela smiled too, he was adorable and calm..unlike her primo who was a nightmare. “I have a primo! Not exactly a brother but he‘s pretty much like a brother to me. But hes annoying.“ Isabela sat down. “How old are you?“ she asked. Dolores thought for a second. She asks a lot of questions. “i think..nine..“ she said. She thinks that she‘s nine?? Doesn’t she know her own age? Isabela thought. “And Antonio?“ “He‘s a year old“ welp she answered that fast.

“Well im nine too!!“ isabela exclaimed. The two girls talked for a bit and the more they talked the more Dolores opened up, yet it was obvious she was keeping a lot of stuff a secret. Dolores also talked more about her brother than herself but Isabela didnt mind, it made her happy so why should she complain?

They talked for two fully hours till julieta called Isabela for dinner. “Awh…i need to go…i guess i will see you tomorrow..“ Isabela pouted, Dolores seemed sad too. They were about tot part ways when Isabela forgot to mention something “Wait!“ she shouted, dolores squeaked but turned around. She gets scared easily… Isabela thought again.

“We are friends right?“ She asked. Dolores smiled softly, “of course!!“ she peeped. Isabela waved and ran towards casita. She finally has a friend!! Not to mention a pretty good one too!! Julieta was already waiting for Isabela at the door. “Mami!! Mami!! I made a friend!!!“ Isabela shouted. “That’s great sweetheart!! I always tell you-“ “patience is always the answer, i know Mami“ Isabela continued. “Right.. Let‘s go before the food gets cold.“ they went inside and joined the family. Isabela announced that she had friends and her family were really happy for her. Isabela hardly makes friends mostly because most of them are using her for her gift. That’s why this time she made sure not to tell Dolores about her gift just incase, it also seemed like Dolores didnt know anything about her family at all.

Isabela talked a lot about her friend, well in this case friends. She’s pretty sure that Antonio is considered her friend too. After the dinner she went to bath, Agustín read her a story about two brave animals, isabela fell asleep happily this night.

Since that day on Isabela’s and dolores‘s friendship grew, not only that but the madrigal‘s curiosity also grew. They really wanted to meet Dolores and Antonio but everytime Isabela asks Dolores if she can come over she refuses. Months have passed and it was now 5 months into their friendship.

From all of the madrigals, pepa was the one with the most curiosity, she happily heard Isabela’s story about them, and she decided that it was the day that maybe she gets to meet Isabela’s friend for the first time!! Mostly it was also because she didnt want isabela to be with bad kids. But the other reason was also because of a quite thing isabela always mentions.

Apparently they are clumsy a lot, not clumsy but that’s what isabela calls it. They often get injuries and it seems like Dolores has an excuse for every single one. Pepa is suspecting abuse, she doesnt straight up go to the girl and say it obviously, she wanted to take things slowly.

Isabela was guiding pepa to their hangout spot, aka the spot where they first meet. She was really excited to introduce pepa to Dolores. Dolores was already with Antonio under the tree, he was sleeping with an blanket on the floor next to her, she kept a hand on his back. And she just stared into the void. “Dolores!!!“ isabela yelled as she ran up to her. Dolores turned to her with a smile and stood up. She opened her arms and Isabela happily hugged her tightly. Pepa chuckled, they seemed to be best friends for life, literally.

Pepa noticed how dolores quickly was alerted when she saw her, she took a step back as if she was protecting Antonio. “Dolores, this is my tia pepa!!“ isabela clarified. “Tia, this is Dolores and Antonio, my best friends!!“ Dolores smiled a bit at the names. But then turned to pepa with the most serious face a 9 year old could have. They stared at eachother for some seconds and in those seconds pepa studied them, it was true that they had injuries, their hair doesnt seemed to be taken care of, they were clean, and they were adorable. “Well hello!! I heard so much about you two, i really wanted to meet you guys.“ pepa spoke. The girl still was silent, she was staring deeply into pepa‘s eyes and pepa started to get nervous. Isabela scotched closer to pepa and whispered “Dolores isn’t great with adults, she said she finds them Lousy“ Ah..that makes sense….does it?

“Hello.“ Dolores mumbled. Pepa lit up, so she does speak! Not much but that was enough for pepa. “Well why dont you guys talk while i rather just listen for now.“ pepa suggested. “Okay!!“ isabela beamed. They sat down and it didnt take long for Isabela and Dolores to pick up their long talks again. Dolores had a soft voice and a soft face for sure. And it wasn’t just Dolores who was adorable, Antonio was adorable too, his face reminded her of Felix.

2 hours went by, pepa was amazed by how much they could talk, maybe this was the reason isabela became quieter at home. At some moment Antonio started to fuss a bit. Dolores noticed fastly, she picked him up and positioned him on her lap. He calmed down a bit but still fussed at something. “I think he might be a hungry..“ isabela mentioned. “He must be“ Dolores said. “Speaking of hungry!! Isabela its lunch time.“ pepa said. Isabela frowned, she wanted to talk more with her friend! Maybe..“Tia!! Could Dolores have lunch with us???“ She pleaded. “Of course she can!“ Pepa smiled. However Dolores did not look so pleased about it. Isabela already knew what Dolores was gonna say so she made sure to put her best act on.

“Doloooresss….pleaseeeeee???“ Isabela turned over to Dolores with puppy eyes. “Uhm…“ she muttered. She wasn’t that sure to go over to them yet, they are a big family and Dolores didnt want to meet that many. But she glanced over to Antonio who‘s starting to fuss more every second. “Okay fine..“ she said.

Isabela was thrilled, it was her first time having a friend over!! Dolores took the blanket and wrapped Antonio around her torso with it. Pretty smart. Pepa noted to herself. They made their way to the casita and Dolores was amazed by the house. It was really big and very colorful. Pepa was about to enter the house till she stopped them. She knew Isabela didnt want Dolores to know about their gifts, that’s a first but what about casita? “Wait here girls, i just need to do something quickly.“ pepa said. The girls waited while pepa went inside the house, luckily everyone was here already. Some of them were preparing the table and the other half was in the kitchen. So she took the ones in the dinning room over the kitchen to announce them about their guest.

“Okay, so isabela is having her friend over and we need to make some rules.“ pepa firmly said. Everyone went silent over the mention of them. “I’m pretty sure its exciting that Isabela is having someone over for the first time but she made it clear not to use our gifts and we all know for what reason..“ she grimaced. “This means you too casita, we cant show her any magic.“ pepa demanded. The house moved the tiles into a frown. “Okay we all got that clear?“ they all nodded their heads and went back to the preparations.

Pepa came back and took them inside. The further into the house made Dolores in a awh. The house was beautiful, Antonio also stared around curiously. “You have a pretty house isa!!“ Dolores complimented. “Thank you!!“ she replied. Antonio babbled something which they giggled at. “I take it he likes the house too?“ pepa smiled. “Seems so“ dolores looked down at him. They went into their garden where the table is, usually it wasn’t there but neither of them said anything. The other madrigals were already waiting for them and Dolores held her breath, Antonio started to get a bit overwhelmed. Dolores held his hand and Isabela held dolores‘s hand as if they could feel eachother‘s nervousness. Dolores maybe had heard about them but she never knew them. If she was correct they were called the madrigals.

They sat down in the middle, dolores sat between Isabela and pepa. Next to pepa was Felix and alma. Next to Isabela was julieta and Bruno. Opposite of them were Agustín, Camilo, Mirabel and Luisa. Isabela checked if her friend was okay and Dolores was really nervous so she put her arm behind Dolores, a way of saying that shes here. It calmed Dolores down but her nervousness was stilll eating her up. Pepa wanted to help too but she only knows Dolores a day and she doesnt think it will end up well.

The table was silent. Some of the others were nervous too. “Why are you guys so quiet, didnt u want to meet dolores?“ mirabel said bluntly, Felix started to crack up at her comment, the others tried not to make the situation worse as it was. Dolores saw how they were nervous, maybe this isn’t gonna end up bad. Pepa cuckled, “You’re right, maybe we should introduce ourself firstly?“ she suggested. “That’s a great idea! Why dont i start?“ Alma joined the conversation. Dolores turned to her direction,“ im alma madrigal“ alma…that name was familiar..oh! It’s the woman that her mothers swears about, often calling her selfish and a stuck up bitch. But for Dolores she seemed sweet, that doesnt mean she will trust them suddenly though.

Each madrgial introduced herself, so did dolores and Antonio, well Dolores for Antonio. They started to eat before they made it akward again, the children talked while eating, Bruno and Agustín were the only adults talking. Julieta and Alma noticed how Dolores fed Antonio first, she didnt even eat a single bite. However julieta was really impressed on how well Antonio was behaving, he didnt refuse a single bite and he didnt even make a mess. If she did the same with infant Mirabel or Camilo there would’ve been some stuff thrown at her face.

“Aren’t you gonna eat too?“ Isabela asked Dolores. “I am, i just need to make sure Antonio eats.“ She replied. Isabela thought for some seconds, and now that shes thinking about it, Dolores always has Antonio with her, she never saw Dolores without Antonio, and Antonio is more than 1 year old now. Not to mention Isabela was actually there when he did his first steps!! But Dolores often prefers to carry him around. Not only that too but, aren’t parents suppose to be taking care of the little ones? She always saw how her mama, papa, tia and tio took care of mirabel and Camilo, sometimes it was Abuela and tio Bruno too. She of course makes sure they are okay too but Dolores is acting like them when it comes to Antonio.

“Dolores, may i ask you something?“ Isabela spoke. Dolores noticed that something was off and turned to her. “Sure.“ she said. “Do u have parents?“ Isabela blurted and the table fell silence, besides for the little ones. Dolores face turned into confusion, why would Isabela ask her that? “What?“ she said. “Do you have parents?“ Isabela repeated. Now the table truely was silent. The adults started to panic a bit. “Yea i do, why are u asking?“ she questions. “Well you always take care of Antonio but aren’t your parents suppose to do it?“ she make a point. Dolores‘s eyes squinted, she purses her lips and doesnt say anything, but she seems to be mad. “Plus, you never talk about them!“ Isabela continues. “I like to take care of antonio.“ Dolores says. Isabela starts to notice that dolores‘s is angry, but why?

They stare at eachother for a bit, till Antonio broke the silence. He started to wave his hands around a lot. It seems like he didnt like it when they were like this. Dolores held his hand to calm him down but it didnt seem to work. Dolores started to get frustrated, maybe this was a bad idea at all. “I’m sorry i asked if you have parents Dolores..maybe it wasn’t a good question..“ Isabela apologized, she looked down at her plate. Antonio stopped fussing and Dolores started to feel bad. She shouldn’t taken that tone with her.

Dolores wanted to say she was sorry too but no words came out of her. So she just took Isabela’s hand and hoped she understood. Isabela did indeed understand her, and sqeeze Dolores’s hand. Sometimes Dolores would just shut down and it happened often so Isabela and Dolores’s started to understand eachother with just looks or body language. “Do you two have telepathy or is it just me?“ Bruno suddenly said. The girls started to giggle and some of the others laughed too.

“Looks like Antonio doesnt like seeing you guys like that.“ pepa confessed. Dolores had a sad smile on her face, “He doesn’t like it when people are mad or sad.“ she said. “What if he is mad or sad?“ Camilo questions. “Well then he makes sure everyone’s knows it“ she laughed. Camilo giggled at the answer. She was getting more comfortable with them and it was noticeable.

After lunch Isabela, Dolores and Antonio went back to their spot, but some have followed them. Isabela and Dolores sat down and dolores noticeded the noises behind Isabela, so she fixed her gaze into the bush and saw at least 3 people there. “I think someone followed us, or some people in this case.“ she said as she pointed them out. Isabela turned around and already knew who it was. “You guys are bad at hiding“ Isabela sighed, and they started to come out of the bush. “I told you this wasn’t a good idea Camilo“ Luisa said, as she helped mirabel to get out. He just ignored Luisa‘s comment and turned to face Isabela with puppy eyes. I wonder where he got that from..Dolores thought. “Can we please be with you guysss??? It’s so boring in casita!!“ he whined. Isabela glanced at Dolores for an answer and she shrugged. “Fine but dont annoy us Camilo!“ she snarled. Camilo gave her an evil grin before sitting down. Luisa and mirabel joined them.

They started to talk at some point. Some time passed by and Dolores saw how mirabel was focused on Antonio. She whispered something to Antonio and he started to wave at mirabel. Mirabel lit up brightly and smiled a lot. “How did u get him to do that!?“ she sputtered. “He started to randomly wave at people and if i tell him to wave at someone certain he just does“ Dolores said. Dolores started to ramble about Antonio to mirabel and Isabela started to get jealousy. Mirabel was really focused and Dolores loves to talk about antonio so Isabela feels like they could go for hours and hours about him.

Isabela crossed her arms and frowned. Her little sister is stealing her friend!! “Dolores!! Do you wanna go around town for a bit?“ Isabela interrupted them up. Dolores stopped talking and turned to Isabela. “Sure!! Will your family go too?“ she asked. She pursed her lip “uh no, i dont think its safe for them.“ she replied. “Cmon!!“ she said and took Dolores’s hand. “Wait isa!!“ Luisa shouted but they were already gone. “I dont think Mami allowed isa to go to town alone..“ Luisa reminded them. “Uh oh..“ mirabel and Camilo said in unison. “We should go get Mami!“ mirabel said, so they ran inside casita to tell julieta, lets say she wasn’t pleased by the news.

Isabela wandered around the town with Dolores, dolores had a worried face so Isabela asked what was wrong. “Aren’t you not allowed to go alone? I dont want to get you in trouble isa..“ she mumbled. And that’s when they stopped walking. “I totally forgot!!“ she said. All that jealousy made Isabela forget about it, all she wanted to do is get dolores away from mirabel so she would stop stealing her away but that really backfired on her.

Isabela started to panic, so she tried to look around to see where she ran off but the more she looked around the more she started to panic. She ran of almost to the other side of the town!! How did she not even notice!! Dolores realized that Isabela started to panic so she tried to calm her down. “Isa, its okay, i dont think your mom will be mad.“ she says. “It’s not even that!! I dont know where we are!! We are completely lost and its all because of me!!“ she tearing up. Dolores hugged Isabela, “its okay, i know where we are. I can bring us back“ she says. “Really!?“ “Really.“

Isabela was so happy that she had a friend like Dolores, she was really smart! Halfway trough their walk to casita Isabela asked, “How did u know the way?“ “My house was nearby, well its a bit further away but i mostly know the city of wandering around.“ she said as if it was nothing. That far!!?? Isabela thought. So that means that everytime she comes here it takes her a long time! And all that just to be with her? “You dont need to walk this far just to be with me Dolores“ Isabela turned to face Dolores with a sad face. “It’s okay, i enjoy walking plus i always come here!! I like it“ she hummed. Man..there’s a lot about Dolores she doesnt know yet..

When they arrived at casita alma quickly informed Felix to let julieta know Isabela was here and it only took some minutes for julieta to come from town and hug Isabela. She then proceeded to scold her but then hug her again. Dolores watched the scene confusingly. Why was julieta so worried about Isabela?? She just went to town for a little bit, and the hug? She was trying to think of an moment her mother hugged her like that but nothing came to her head.

It was getting darker so Dolores decided to go home early today, she was just waiting Isabela. After julieta hugged Isabela to death, she started to walk towards Dolores. Dolores stiffened up, she knew she was gonna get a scolding from this too, why shouldn’t she? Julieta kneeled down and Dolores saw a smile instead of an angry face. “Thank you a lot for helping Isabela, dolores.“ she thanked her. This woman’s voice is really soft..

Dolores‘s eyes widen, is that it? No screaming, no saying names, just that? “Dolores?“ julieta said. “Uh..right..you‘re welcome..“ she quickly looked over to Isabela to avoid eye contact. “See you then Isa..“ she waved and Isabela waved back.

While Dolores was walking back home, she had a weird feeling in her stomach, like..as if she was really happy about something. She hoped that she wont ever loose this feeling.

Must admit, I was excited to see you sent in an ask! XD But in answer to your questions:

6. Are there any fics from others you reread all the time?

There's quite a few so buckle up:

it was all a dream, i just called to say, and in law out(ing) by @canariie: her writing is beautiful, her plots are offer many sweet and homely moments, and they all feature my OTP. The first was a request form me and I love the direction to she took it, giving Toshiro and Momo a soft moment where they're both scared but then turning it into a moment Toshiro can express how he truly feels. The second is beautiful from start to finish, giving us an interaction between two like-minded individuals who have been through a lot and would probably benefit from meeting each other in canon; also the last third is just so good for a Hitsuhina fan! The last is just great fun, and I love seeing Shinji and Toshiro interact like this (it also gave us #letshinjifish2k23, what's not to love?!) If for some reason you haven't read these fics (or any of her fics for that matter) and you're a hitsuhina fan, read them after this post!

Bleach Returns day 3: A Time to Celebrate by @recurring-polynya: yeah that's right, I go back and read this fic of yours! It's one of the most humorous fics I've read, and it never fails to make me smile. I love all the characters' banter with each other, it feels organic and it's awesome to see some character interact with each other (seriously, I never thought I'd want to see Chad interact with Rangiku and Toshiro, but here we are). I've been meaning to read your submission for this year's BLEACH Anime Celebration too, but I'm sure I'll love it!

a cacophny in stillness by @visionen-im-spiegel: I mentioned it in my last ask response, but there's just something about this fic. I love to come back and reread it as a whole, but there's just certain sections I read it for. I love in the last chapter where Momo finds Toshiro, and there's that shock of seeing him at first, but more than that, there's relief that the war is all finally over, and they have each other in that moment of realisation.

the warmest place in the world by @pinkhairedlily: this is such a fluffy read! I love snippet of the hitsuhina married life here, it feels authentic and organic. I always laugh at the drunk Toshiro scene, the poor guy forgets he finally married Momo! XD

D O N K I and Away, Away by @bleachbleachbleach: I've said many thinks about their writing, and I cannot praise them enough. These two fics in particular hit me though. Again, a little biased here, but the first was written as a request from me, but like with canariie, it got taken in a direction I didn't see coming but absolutely loved. Toshiro and Orihime interactions are always a 10/10 for me, they're a soft friendship that needs to explored more. And this fic even got me to care about the weird unspoken side characters in Orihime's neighbourhood! Away, Away holds a special place for me, as it was the first fic I read from bleachbleachbleach, I come back to it because I still marvel at the world building, the atmosphere throughout, and the character interactions being so on point.

18. What's one of your favorite lines you've written in a fic?

There's more than one line here, but I feels it needs context for me to explain why it's one of my faves. This one is from On the Shoreline:

“I-I didn’t understand why you were becoming so distant, I thought getting away from the Soul Society would help, but now I think I know. Are you…?” She’s conflicted, her lips opening to continuing her question, only to close seconds later and becoming a taut, pressed line. He’d wanted to tell her what was on his mind, but not like this. To his own ear, he’s ended up both paranoid and like a child complaining about something not going his way. He's upset her. Toshiro sighs, suddenly more tired than before. “What is it?” She still hesitates, her focus on the waves circling his ankles. Eventually, she raises her head and steps closer. “Are you scared?” It hits him in the chest like a stone thrown into glass. For a second, his blood runs tight and cold in his limbs. His heart skips a beat, then clenches. He can feel hairline fractures running through him, threatening to break apart.

I still can't forget how long I sat there trying to come up with a line to emphasis the impact this question has on Toshiro. This was the moment in the story where he finally breaks down more or less, and finally tells Momo what's been going on for him. He's been keeping his walls up, but they aren't strong ones; he's at a point where they're being worn down and he's barely making it through this trip, and Momo's concern, her insight into who he is and how he's feeling, finally breaks them down completely.

It might be a corny or cliched line, but love how it turned out in the grant scheme of the story. Her question hit him hard, and finally got him to open up to her when he's been the exact opposite for most of the fic.
