I love Ansbach, he’s easily an all-time favorite FromSoft NPC, and I get that he’s being hyperbolic and probably pretty emotional when he calls Miquella a monster, but in a vacuum it’s still just such a funny thing for Ansbach specifically to say about anybody, considering he’s one of Mohg’s Pureblood Knights. I’ve been to your house, Ansbach. there’s a knee-deep river of blood running through the front and back yards, there’s big twitching piles of gore all over the place, and a decent number of your co-workers are there because they got kidnapped about it.

Count Ymir makes me laugh so hard cause to me he really comes across as a obsessive fan girl. But the worst kind. Like he's making head canons that he insist are correct and if you disagree your an anti. He's cosplaying from his hat, to his robe, to his hilarious staff that is such a poor imitation the game even calls him out for wanting to basically become a finger and outrightly states how useless his crystal ball imitation of a microcosm is. I think it's even funnier that the game gives you access to the real version of his staff with an actually microcosm at the exact same time. Just in case you thought for a second this man was right about anything. But best of all, he's basically kinning for a finger monster. He's so obsessed he's like guys no seriously I'm really their mother.

I don't think it's a coincidence that he's basically just squatting in the remnants of a carian manor where he's the only one left because every normal greater will fan can NOT deal with his toxicity in the fandom. Marika trapped him in the land of shadow for the sin of being cringe.

GREAT RUNES

A funny thing you can notice about the Great Runes is that all of them are altered by something — all of them except Morgott’s.

If you look closely, you can see that Morgott’s Great Rune is the only one that looks exactly like the Elden Ring itself.

Rykard’s rune is twisted with the blasphemous serpent.

If you read the item description: "A Great Rune of the shardbearer Rykard. Its blessing restores HP upon defeating enemies. Rykard was among the children of Rennala and Radagon, who became demigod stepchildren after Radagon's union with Queen Marika. But Rykard fed himself to the blasphemous serpent - Great Rune and all."

He literally fed both himself and his Great Rune to the serpent.

Let’s not even talk about Miquella’s Great Rune. :]

For Mohg, it’s kinda cool because he managed to use his blood and merge it with his Great Rune.

He’s the only one who actually managed to change the nature of his Great Rune. As it says in the item description:

"But Mohg's rune is soaked in accursed blood, from his devout love for the wretched mire that he was born into far below the earth."

As for Radahn — he’s kinda helpless in this game. His Great Rune is the only thing keeping him from completely rotting away.

in item description its said:

The Great Rune burns, to resist the encroachment of the scarlet rot.(radahn great rune)

With Malenia, it’s similar, but the difference is that her rune is becoming one with the Scarlet Rot, while Radahn’s rune is being destroyed by it.

here comes the hard part:

Rennala’s Great Rune is also altered. She used it so many times that it’s getting weaker and seems to be losing its light.

The same thing can be said for Godrick’s Great Rune — it’s getting weaker too, and it’s golden ray is turning yellow.

but why morgott never used it?

i think it's because he doesn't see himself worthy of using his mother's legacy, like he is afraid to curse his great rune with his omen blood

Can i talk about how miquella unalloygolded himself??? Like how he removed all of his “impurities” trying to turn himself into the “perfect” savior/god but ended up making himself a shell of who he was before, making his goal impossible to fulfill since there would be no love in his compassion? His order would be hollow and weak? Or am i stupid and will be beaten with hammers

went to look at past nintendo magazine issue for something and. Ok so. Splatoon's currency in JP is also called "G", but a handful of times its confirmed the "G" is short for Geso (they've also used Gesocoin, that's probably what a singular coin is called??). geso means tentacle btw. G is to Geso like $ is to Dollar. There is not a lot of times in JP where its called "Geso" instead of just G, and all the examples i can think of are in still JP-only materials. I've been hoping they'd like. tell us what the G is short for in english.

so. looking at this magazine im like. ok cool. a rare instance of something that calls the currency by its proper name and also has an official english translation! will they finally tell us what the G is short for in english???

I see posts go by periodically about how modern audiences are impatient or unwilling to trust the creator. And I agree that that's true. What the posts almost never mention, though, is that this didn't happen in a vacuum. Audiences have had their patience and trust beaten out of them by the popular media of the past few decades.

J J Abrams is famous for making stories that raise questions he never figures out how to answer. He's also the guy with some weird story about a present he never opened and how that's better than presents you open--failing to see that there's a difference between choosing not to open a present and being forbidden from opening one.

You've got lengthy media franchises where installments undo character development or satisfying resolutions from previous installments. Worse, there are media franchises with "trilogies" that are weird slap fights between the makers of each installment.

You've got wildly popular TV shows that end so poorly and unsatisfyingly that no one speaks of them again.

On top of that, a lot of the media actively punishes people for engaging thoughtfully with it. Creators panic and change their stories if the audience properly reacts to foreshadowing. Emotional parts of storytelling are trampled by jokes. Shocking the audience has become the go to, rather than providing a solid story.

Of course audiences have gotten cynical and untrusting! Of course they're unwilling to form their own expectations of what's coming! Of course they make the worst assumptions based on what's in front of them! The media they've been consuming has trained them well.

My friends and i came up with a bunch more ideas!

Larger Splattercolor screen that highlights enemies viewed through it, no other effects.

Big Big bubbler, less health, full of toxic mist

transparent Kraken that 3 hits but with CRAZY knockback

zipcaster that doesnt zip, just launches you upwards really high

Reef Slider but does a donut

Superchump but launches clone team mates, killing them causes them to burst in your ink color

Ink Jet with more mobility and vacuum powers

Inkvac but its a turret you can place, slow turn speed and more narrow suction. and no end of explosion

Tristrike but it creates gushes where they land

Killer Wail but it launches a large slow moving sound orb that travels through terrain

Crab tank but its maws style, so swims in ink and attacks from below

Booyah Bomb but its a distructo disk

BIG booyah bomb thats horrorborus size but takes A LOT to charge

trizooka but its proto rainmaker style

ink missles but toxic mist and 0 damage

Inkjet that doges sideways and has a gattling gun

Okay idea:

Sub species for specials!

Like you have your normal wave breaker or you can choose one for your loadout that sends out 2 quick bursts 3 times in a smaller radius. Or or one that is like a toxic toxic mist in a sphere round the placeable device

An ultra stamp thats 2 smaller hammers that are like the horses for a chariot. It doesn't one shot, and has weird steering. but it goes really fast!

Another idea, ink storm, 0 Damage but even more healing. or a tacticooler that your team can't use but the enemy can, and it makes them drunk XD
