He dealt with all this bullshit at the VERY young age that is 12-15. You want to tell this kid he's a bad person for being stressed? He has so much on his mind at such a young age from literally all of that and you expect him to act rational? Peaceful? "Correct"??😭

It was a busy race week, but it didn’t stop you and Lando from taking on a new role as temporary guardians. Your brother and his wife are currently away for a business trip, and flew their four-year-old daughter, Chloé, to Monaco to be in your care for three weeks, so that’s basically a whole month with her. Chloé had quickly become attached to both of you, especially Lando, who had easily embraced the added responsibility very proudly. Now, she’s living with you both in your shared apartment in Monaco, and despite the busyness of the race week, she was certainly coming along for the ride.

You entered the paddock hand in hand with Lando, while he was carrying Chloé in his arms, balancing her weight effortlessly as if he’d done it a hundred times before, with her tiny arms wrapped around his neck. Chloé, with her bright eyes and boundless curiosity, had become an instant star amongst the paddock. She was also dressed to coordinate with you and Lando, with miniature personalized ear defenders completing the whole ensemble. You couldn’t help but laugh at how effortlessly she charmed everyone around her.

“She looks so much like you two!” Someone exclaimed as you passed by. Lando quickly gave you a playful nudge.

“Well, we do make a good-looking family, don’t we?” He said cheekily, sending you a wink. You couldn’t help but laugh at the idea of rolling with the misconception that Chloé was your daughter suddenly became amusing for you.

“You two look like a proper happy family, eh?” Carlos teased as he approached, grinning mischievously, and giving Chloé a high five.

Lando chuckled, glancing over at you with a playful smirk. “Maybe we should let them think that, huh?”

You playfully rolled your eyes and chuckled, “you really have a knack for stirring the media, don’t you?”

“Anything to keep them in their toes.” You all laughed. “Let them have their field day. They want headlines, then let them eat this up.” He added.

Chloé, oblivious to the whole conversation that is going on, tapped Lando’s shoulder gently. “Can we see the cars now, Uncle Lan?”

He ruffled her hair and pressed a soft kiss on her temple. “In a bit, Koko. First, we have to make sure that Uncle Lan wins this weekend.” She giggled, her innocent laughter melting the hearts of the people around.

As the three of you continued through the paddock, other drivers couldn’t help but stop and coo at her and with Lando joking that Chloé should call Fernando ‘grandpa nando’, in which the older didn’t mind, and find Chloé a very wonderful kid. She even got Oscar to play with her, pretending to race alongside her as she ran towards him, he got Chloé to behave like a car, and squealed so hard with laughter, clearly enjoying every second of her playful interaction with Oscar.

Then Max came over, pretending to be serious but a soft smile was threatening to break through. “I didn’t know you two had a secret kid. When did this happen?”

You laughed, shaking your head. “She’s my niece. But for the thrill of it, let’s start some rumors.”

“Could’ve fooled me! You three looked like a picture-perfect family.” Max smirked, “she’s too cute not to be yours, mate.”

“See?” Lando chimed in, nudging you lightly with his elbow. “Told you, we’re a great team. Maybe we should borrow her every race weekend, love. Just to keep everyone guessing.”

“Yeah and I’ll get an earful from my brother in return for making her miss Kumon just to attend a race weekend with us.” You laughed, shaking your head.

Chloé had asked to be brought down from Lando’s arms, wanting to walk, and now, she’s swinging between the two of you, and you couldn’t help but smile at the way Lando looked at her. Lando had always been really great with kids, but seeing him in this light, with Chloé, felt like something deeper. There was an unspoken ease in the way he handled it, as if it wasn’t a huge leap from where you both already were.

Just then, Charles strolled over, taking a good look at the three of you. “A mini Norris already?! This weekend just got more interesting, huh?”

Before you could reply, Chloé pointed at Charles’s shirt. “I like your red shirt!” She announced, earning a laugh from everyone around.

Charles knelt down to her height, his eyes lighting up with genuine affection. “Thank you! I like your ear defenders. Maybe one day you’ll be in the car too?”

She beamed, nodding with all the confidence in the world. “I will! And I’ll beat Uncle Lan!”

You all burst into laughter, and Lando playfully feigned shock. “Whoa, hold on! You’re supposed to be on my side!”

“Koko is really adorable.” Charles smiled as he put out a hand for Chloé to high five, “can Uncle Charles get a hug?” She giggled and ran up to Charles, her tiny arms wrapping around his neck.

You smiled, watching the scene unfold, heart full from how she effortlessly fit into this world. It was sweet, chaotic, and somehow, everything just felt right. But honestly, all of this is making you feel a little bit of a baby fever.

The day continued on and more drivers stopped by to say hello, each of them being enamored. Even some of the team staff were swooning over how adorable she runs towards Lando and climbing to sit on his lap during brief moments in the garage. Lando even gently placed her inside his car, much to her delight. Chloé’s eyes sparkled as she explored the cockpit and touched the steering wheel, her giggles echoing through the garage. The whole team watched it all with fond smiles, exchanging knowing looks.

Chloé continued to win everyone’s heart, even joining Lando in signing autographs, and each time a fan got their merch signed, she’d beam proudly and say, “I helped!”

At one point, Toto passed by, taking one look at the three of you and shaking his head with an amused grin. “You two should just get married already and have one of your own. This one suits you.”

You blushed, the thought of you and Lando getting married and having a child of your own. Stammering out a response as Lando laughed beside you. “Oh no, we’re…we’re just babysitting.”

“Sure,” Toto said with a knowing wink before walking away.

By the time the day came to an end, Chloé had fallen asleep in Lando’s arms, her tiny body curled up against him. You glanced over and saw how tenderly Lando held her, stroking her hair softly. Witnessing this scene had made your heart flutter and melt.

“You know,” Lando said quietly, not wanting to wake her, “if this is what having a family looks like…I wouldn’t mind having one someday with you.”

You smiled, feeling your chest tighten with a mix of emotions. “Someday,” you agreed, leaning in to kiss him on the lips and him meeting you halfway.

For now, this was enough—an amazing race weekend, Chloé, and the unexpected joy of playing family for a little while. It was sweet, it was funny, and it was everything you didn’t know that you needed.

Those two really fit as the Achilleos brothers!! I do see Silas having a bit more hair and beard than Ares and Ares having that exact hairstyle god damn???? did you look into my brain?

I can't explain how I see Kry because he is so specific in my head and nothing matches it and it is so frustrating. I wish that you all could see how i see him. The drawings don't remind me of him unfortunately.

But the hedwig ones are really good (ESPECIALLY THE ONE IN THE TOP RIGHT) because I have had a hard time finding pics that visualize how I see hedwig. All the pics i've found of the girls that have reminded me of Hedwig have had too sharp features, if you get what i mean. Sharp cheekbones, sharp look in the eyes. Or they've been too soft for Hedwig. I've always seen Hedwig as more of a soft features girl: a little rounder cheeks, rounder eyes etc, while also having a slight sharpness that is going undetected unless she is in her yandere "mood". And her hair is a mystery to me too. I don't know if she has blonde-blonde hair or ash blonde, or highlighted hair :,)

I feel like the Edmund photo is more of a "modern" beauty or almost too beautiful, like unreal, if you get what i mean. Edmund is supposed to be just another person, not a model. None of my characters should look like models (apart from Hedwig I suppose) since they're supposed to be normal people. They're good looking, but not models. It's hard to explain how Edmund looks like apart from the black hair and icy blue eyes unfortunately :(

Yes, this sounds stupid, but my god it’s been almost three years of an absolute rollercoaster of feelings and denials and tears and revelations…

and if you don’t mind, I’m gonna rant about it.

To start off, i wasn’t always a bkdk shipper.

I shipped izu*cha at first (not saying it’s a bad ship btw; it’s actually quite cute. im just afraid people’ll be mad if I accidentally invade their tag lol), primarily because I assumed that would be the ship that became canon.

But also, my veryyyyy leasttttt favorite character… was Bakugou Katsuki.

When I tell you that I would’ve loved nothing more than to somehow spawn into the bnha universe and punch that brat in the face— AGHHHHHHHHHH

Now this wasn’t all his fault: A) I watched the dub first lol, and B) he reminded me of someone that i was not in a place to stand up to at the time, and his constant anger, yelling, and harsh treatment of Izuku—who i began to relate to—made me hateeee him.

There was a time when I literally said “if he died, I wouldn’t miss him.” <- this was later proven false lol

So, I was watching the anime dub with an absolute animosity for our resident deuteragonist, but on top of that…

I was watching it with a friend with a crunchyroll account who lived in another state that I was visiting and staying with for two weeks, so by the time i had to go back home, we’d only gotten up to the part where All Might was getting Inko’s permission to let Izuku stay at the UA dorms.

Anddddddd in my drive to consume more bnha once I got home, i somehow stumbled across an Instagram account that posted bnha sub episodes divided into parts,

but they only had season four and onwards.

Sooooo I never saw the second half of season three… more importantly,

I NEVER SAW DEKU VS KACCHAN 2!!!!!

(I will say that I had seen a couple photos/edits/etc, but I never knew what had been said, or why they fought)

At this point in time, I’d been exposed to a lot of the fandom. My fyp on both IG and Pinterest were filled to the brim with all things bnha (because this is what happens when one has a hyperfixation), so I saw a lot of stuff.

Especially fanart.

This is where I started learning about the different ships.

I saw a lot of the side character ships and thought they were adorable (kamijirou, todomomo, even kiribaku), but then I saw some with Izuku.

Izu*cha was a given for me. I didn’t think there was a single person that didn’t ship it. But then I started seeing fanart of ships like tododeku, shindeku, and bakudeku.

And my first reaction to finding out that people shipped my beautiful baby sunshine boi with the person who bullied him for years?????

HELLLLLLLLLLL NO

So with my (unknowingly) limited knowledge of their relationship, i was very much an anti (i never spoke out or anything, i just reallyyyy didn’t like the ship lol)

(And then, you know, I started to see all the bkdk hate online and kinda went “okay not touching that”)

But that began to change…

…after I saw a manga leak for the first time.

I was scrolling thru my feed and all of a sudden. BOOM!

I was like 😧

IS THAT IZUKU?????

And i looked in the comments and yes it was.

I checked out the page and found that they had an entire account of manga leaks and was so happy.

I quickly began to read from the very bottom of that account, and it started from right about where Izuku first began his vigilante arc (i had no idea how much was in between then and where I left off on the anime, but I was willing to read it lol)

And so I waited diligently for the leaks every week (a practice I have continued to uphold lol), until one day, i came across an untranslated series of panels from the latest chapter. I looked at it and it was of Katsuki and Izuku, facing each other in the rain (you know the one). I knew the leaks would be coming a day later, but I wanted to look through them anyways, so I did.

I didn’t understand a word they said, but the pictures and imagery of them as kids then middle schoolers then where they were now seemed so touching…

And then I came across a pair of kanji that I recognized.

I was like “wait WHAT???”

I zoomed in and went “that— isn’t that—? That’s part of Midoriya’s name, right???”

And then I was like “wait a second… omg that’s Izuku, isn’t it. That’s the freaking kanji for Izuku.”

And it was!!!!!

So inside I’m having a mini freakout cuz—

Bakugou just called him IZUKU

Fast forward to the next day, and I looked at the translated version, and found out that not only did he call him Izuku,

Freaking

APOLOGIZED

And I was like “huhhhhhhh”

What happened between now and the most recent anime episodes for this to occur???? For Bakugou to do a complete 180 and apologize????????

Well, I finally got my answers…

…when I started reading the manga.

I started from the beginning, cuz I wanted to see Horikoshi’s art style and the extra drawings and all the other stuff…

And when I tell you that Katsuki became a whole new character to me—

First, I read everything about early-on Bakugou— without hearing him yell in his dub voice—and realized “oh wow he really is just a kid with issues and a worldview that he’s now having to change.”

Then, I finally read what happened in that space between moving into the dorms and the beginning of season four (most importantly, DvK2).

Cried.

Then, oh then, I got up to where season five ended and the rest of the manga began.

. . .

Funny thing: back when I read the leaks to ch322, I remember thinking to myself, “huh. what did Bakugou mean by Shigaraki making swiss cheese outta him?”

😦

THE WAY I GASPED

AND THEN CRIED

OH MY FREAKING GOD

That was the moment where i truly ceased to hate Katsuki cuz holy character development batman

Then, of course, we see them in recovery

And then the vigilante arc and apology scene *sobs*

And then I was caught up.

(Btw I finished the entire manga up ‘til ch334 in just over a week. I read for nine days straight. During the school year. My emotions were all over the place goodness gracious I could barely concentrate.)

So that’s how I went from being a Bakugou hater to going “you know what he’s a complex character and he’s slowly becoming a better person” and realizing that he was now one of my fav characters and therefore cursed to die but I’ll talk about that later

Was I now a bakudeku shipper?

Hah nope.

I began my dive into the true essence of any fandom: fanfiction.

Over the course of winter break, I had started off with fics that had no romantic pairing (I just wanted to see my boi Izuku), but then somehow stumbled across Mastermind: Strategist for Hire and then read the entirety of the For Want of a Nail series (shoutout to Clouds btw ❤️) cuz I was like “ok whew no bkdk fics” which was my mindset at the time.

But somehow (I can’t even remember how I found it) I came across a bkdk fic. It was called For Want of Izuku’s Toe Joint by Talavin (okay now that I think about it there’s probably a simple explanation lol).

I don’t quite know what compelled me to start reading it, but I did.

And I really liked it.

But not in the “I’ve been converted” kinda way.

It was like an “I shouldn’t be enjoying this why am I enjoying this?” kinda feeling. Like my head says no but my heart says yeah.

A really really really really guilty pleasure.

So, from that day on, whenever I came across any form of bkdk media, I would simultaneously feel discomfort and yet an odd sense of satisfaction.

Bit of a timeskip, but nothing of note really happened in those last six months so here we go.

We’ve gotten to the point in the manga where the final arc is underway and Bakugou is about to KICK SOME BUTT

He’s revealed his Panser Strafe support item and I’m gushing about it to my friend (she kinda fell out of the fandom but still tolerated my rants bless her)

Oh, side note: it was then that I also expressed my concern for Bakugou’s “alive” status

Utterly gobsmacked. Cried. Disbelief. Horrified. Confusion. Anger. Went through the five stages of grief and then some.

Sometimes I hate being right 🥲

But the good thing that came from this was that my positive view of Katsuki only grew after seeing his utter faith in Izuku (and his thoughts being on him in his final moments???? 🥺🥺🥺)

And it was at this point in time where I could admit to myself “you know what? i see it. i see the appeal. i wouldn’t mind this actually becoming canon.”

Did I think that it would actually become canon?? No.

Everything was downhill from here folks.

In the best possible way.

I came across some analyses of what was going on with togachako, and consequently led me to some bakudeku analyses. I read them and my goodness they made so much sense.

Like not even just personality-wise!! Those metas brought in actual things Horikoshi said about wanting to go outside the norms of shounen (and about not liking the Naruto ending 💀), and compared bkdk to tropes in different works of fiction, and even discussed how bkdk made sense narratively. They properly convinced me of the ship.

And then for good measure, I reread the manga in its entirety thru a bkdk filter, and lo and behold things took on new meanings and my eyes were opened.

I totally and irrevocably shipped them! And I actually thought they had a chance at being canon!!

(And then I binged so much bkdk fanfiction omg you wouldn’t BELIEVE like I read the ones with the highest kudos first and then just picked the biggest collections I could find and read down the line

It was like being on drugs like each fic gave me more dopamine than the last I was so happy oh my god)

And then finally, the day came.

The answer to “is bakugou alive yet?” became a yes.

We screamed. We cried. We jumped for joy. We told bakugou antis to suck it. But most of all, our bkdk hearts soared to see our boys make eye contact with each other for the first time in over a year 🥹

And from that moment on, I truly began to believe that bkdk would indeed become canon.

I see your work EVERYWHERE! I follow you on a lot of platforms and I've always loved your modeling style.

However, being as good as you are there's alot of people (especially recently) who crop out watermarks and post your pieces elsewhere. Mostly on TikTok and Pinterest.

I'm an Artist myself and not long ago I deleted my Deviantart because I found my art on google and being reposted by others.

Is there any way at all to tactical things like this besides just reporting and blocking? It's scary being and Artist and I'm not that big at all, but I still don't want it to happen.

Unfortunately, in order to avoid reposting to some extent, I had to create accounts literally everywhere to be the first person to publish them. And it's true, for about two months I have noticed a very large increase of accounts stealing my and others art.. It's hard and exausting to fight them all. Sometimes I write private messages to reposters asking them not to do it and they listen to me, but there are also people who deny it and even block me lmao

I don't have a perfect solution for this, the only thing is watermarks, blocks and reports.

What I've noticed is that wms are most likely to be removed when they are large and noticable. When they are blended into the background, they stay (idk, i guess they are too dumb to look for them). When I make renders with several characters, I hide them on each of them. For example, someone stole THIS render and removed my watermark from Ghost, but didn't pay attention to the one hidden on Soap xdd

but what started to scare me is AI. About a month ago, I reported an account on Pinterest that was removing my wms and changing resolutions. 2 days ago I saw 2 tiktoks on my fyp with this new filter where my renders were also edited, and yesterday someone did THIS… so it's getting worse. I am bombarded with new problems from every direction and sometimes I don't know what to do because I'm not an expert. I am just like all of you and I just want to make art as a hobby and for fun.

Unfortunately, Call of Duty is a big fandom and there are some shits who want to take advantage of it.

So what I do is: -hide watermarks -post art in lower resolutions (if it is 2k-4k, it will be easier to remove wms and more likely someone will want to sell them as posters etc) -and I'm also starting to think about using an app that prevents AI from reading my stuff

at the moment I'm only focusing on situations when someone removes my wms or tries to sell them. There are so many reposters that sometimes it just overwhelms me

The amount of AI generated "art" on my pinterest fyp is annoying. Like there's this one specific style that I keep seeing and instantly recognize it. To confirm I check the hands, the hair and the eyes... it's always AI

It's like... its not that its bad looking necessarily. It's OFF. It's just lifeless. In the same sense an AI bot would be to talk to. Programmed to replicate something human.

Maybe to someone who is not an artist it doesn't matter but I can't imagine not experiencing the joy of the process, the frustration and the eventual success you feel as the person who crafted something on paper or canvas or whatever you work on with your own hands. The beauty of art to me is the unpredictability, the process, the chance of failure which makes it all the more special. It's so very human and no matter how good AI becomes at mashing images together it will never take away the joy I get from creating art.

honest to god i got into fashion just by hunting around the internet and seeing ppl i thoight looked cool lmao

i know a lot of people use pinterest for inspo but i never got into it my favourite place to go is tiktok even tho like pinterest it does promote a certain body type imo there’s a lot more style diversity and it’s quick on trends too i follow a lot of sewing creators ( i also want to make my own clothes but i don’t have time w uni rn :( ) right now i LOVE eddysonline he has some great patterns for beginners the stuff is rather feminine so if that’s ur thing i’d definitely recommend his in depth tutorials

knowing what to do with the clothes once u have them is probably a rlly important bit so i also follow a lot of style creators like andrea’s fashion galaxy is one of my faves she’s so fun i also have michaila cothran for more bratz type looks and obv måneskin are one of my faves for eccentric fashions fashion is so diverse in aesthetics there will always be someone or a group of people that u will find for inspiration number one is have a think about who you appreciate aesthetically and if you want that to translate to your own fashion aesthetic

i will say a lot of fashion tiktok leaves me uninspired bc it’s the same jeans leather jacket clean girl combo or skims bodysuit or oh polly dress all in black white and beige so searching for fashiontok might seem a bit fruitless if that’s not what ur into

personally id try looking like styling [clothing style] outfit or [clothing style] sewing patterns if you start following some you’ll end up with more cropping up onto your fyp introducing you to new styles and aesthetics you can find out what aesthetics you enjoy things you want to try out or just tips to elevate outfits with clothes u already have

another thing i like to do is just pick one thing out of my wardrobe and try to style as many outfits as i can with that one thing it challenges the way you’d normally think about your clothing you might find yourself layering things you’d never considered or wearing it in a way that’s different that the way it was intended it gives you an opportunity to try things out and learn how to style things that good on your body instead of just emulating what other people are doing online

June 25th: A Mundane Day

Good evening!!! Or morning for whenever you are reading this! I realize I never properly introduced myself and why I write this blog. My name is Maggie/Tanya. Tanya is my birth name and Maggie is my name now! I am adopted so that is why I have two names. I don't have a preference so address me however you'd like! I've been on a self-improvement journey for the last three months and during the month of June is when I started seeing results. I decided to create this blog as a way of recording my thoughts, feelings, and progress! I hope by sharing my thoughts and the actions I've taken to achieve my peace can help anyone who reads my posts. With that being said, time to recap June 25th!

Am I excited to age?

         I am incredibly excited to age. I think aging is beautiful. I've noticed, even now, that as I've grown older, I've started to enjoy the simple things more. I don't crave adventure anymore. I crave close connections and work now. Also, growing older means you have the opportunity to experience more and create memories. You get to meet new people and create new relationships. 

    I also cannot wait to start a family. That is something I am especially excited for! Becoming a mother is one of my dreams. I want to be able to provide the best possible life to someone and I believe I can fulfill that by becoming a mother. I've been considering adoption for this route because it is something I hold close in my heart.

Some more tips:

My number one tip is to go onto tiktok and just hit "not interested" on all the venting and depressing posts. Videos like those tend to resurface negative emotions for me and clearing my fyp of those kinds of posts has helped a lot. Now, I get posts that promote self-improvement or things concerning my interests. It is hard to be positive if you're just consuming negative content. My number two tip is to start off your day watching those self-care/level up videos on YouTube. They give me a lot of motivation and remind me I am not alone! They also give me ideas on how to go about my day!  My number three tip is to do journaling prompts! Get those gears turning!! They help you to start visualizing and planning the direction you want your life to go in! This is why I always have a nightly reflection at the bottom of my posts. It isn't to break down on myself, rather to point out what I liked most about my day and how I want to present myself tomorrow. I use the monthly journaling prompts that are Pinterest! My final tip is to find people who are on the same journey as you! I found such an amazing community on discord and they are some of the most supportive people I have ever met. I have never felt more myself when speaking to them and being able to give/receive advice from people who aren't these busy celebrities has been a blessing. These are people with normal lives and by sharing their tips and struggles, I have been able to find some really valuable advice.  Goodnight Y'all! I hope everyone is able to get a goodnight's rest and wake up even better!!

MATSUKAWA ISSEI he knows or atleast already has an idea of what the trend is before you asked him to do it because makki loves sending his whole tiktok fyp to the man. when you first came to him about the idea of doing the trend, he was going to agree of course, but not without a little teasing of how you just wanted to drool over his muscles or "you're that down bad, huh?" his words, not mine. after recording, he sent the video to his gc with the other seijoh third years, almost immediately gaining oikawa and makki's exaggerated replies.

MIYA OSAMU he saw a video of a trend the past week on suna's phone when he was scrolling through tiktok during a break between practice. he didn't give it a second thought until you showed him a video of the trend, urging him to do it. he really didn't see the point of it, but after more convincing and the promise of cooking dinner together later tonight, he caved in to your request.

USHIJIMA WAKATOSHI it was normal for you to be running toward him with your phone in hand, he already knew you were going to show him another one of those "tiktok trends" you're always so excited about. though this one was a bit different to him. most of the past trends you showed him were dances, or typical hand gestures. while you were showing him the video on your phone, he just thought it was a way to show off the arm muscles someone worked hard for. he personally didn't feel the need to show off his muscles, but since you looked set on making him do the trend, he agreed to do so.

KUROO TETSURO the second you saw a video of this trend pass by your fyp, you immediately thought of your man. you didn't know how but his arms have been looking do?? good?? lately?? you honestly don't know how he does it. getting him to hop on the trend was fairly easy. he always agreed to (mostly) whatever you wanted to do, after all. but that didn't stop the never ending flirting coming out of his mouth. "you like my arms THAT bad, huh princess" "you know, there are other ways I can show you my bicep improvement" cue his stupidly teasing smirk.

IWAIZUMI HAJIME his first thought was that oikawa put you up to making him do the trend. but not wanting the poor captain to be the receiving end of these accusations, you dismissed the thought right away. reasoning how you only thought how good he's look doing it. he was flattered, sure, but he still didn't see the point of the whole thing. but he'd do anything for you, so sooner or later he was on board. the video got to oikawa though, so just imagine the amount of teasing and volleyballs thrown the day his best friend saw the video.

TERUSHIMA YUUJI you weren't even the one who proposed doing the trend with him. he was the one who came up to you with a ribbon and his phone in hand, going on and on about how ripping the ribbon would be so easy. you were reluctant on helping him film the video because if he was able to do it, you knew how much it would inflate his ego. but nevertheless, you tied the ribbon around his upper bicep as he handed his phone over to you to start recording.

MIYA ATSUMU both of you came to each other at the same time with the proposal to do the trend, actually. atsumu with his plan to show off to his brother later, and you with the thought of how good your boyfriend would look, and overall the tradition of the both of you doing as much tiktok trends as possible. as long as it's appropriate, of course. he was ecstatic to find out you wanted him to do the trend as much as he did.

BOKUTO KOTAROU the moment you finished explaining the trend to him and telling him you wanted him to do it, man was he excited. he was practically bouncing up and down at the thought of you thinking about him when you saw the video. and the fact that you went out of your way to personally tell him you wanted him to do it??? how could he say no?

ARAN OJIRO he wouldn't be too updated on what's popular or trending on social media, and this is one of the trends he wasn't aware about. the both of you were sitting together when the video passed by your for you page. the idea of persuading your boyfriend to do the same thing was what almost immediately came to mind. you tapped him on the shoulder, showed him the video, then explained how it worked. he didn't see what was so important about ripping a ribbon into two, but still, he reluctantly agreed.

KITA SHINSUKE before you brought up the idea of doing the trend to him, you made sure that neither of you had any plans that day. kita didn't have practice or tests to study for, and that you didn't have tests to study for either or school works pending. you were sure he would talk you into finishing whatever you had to for school first before doing whatever else you wanted. (he just wanted the best for u) he questioned you about the trend at first, and the only answer you gave was that he's a beautiful boy. after that, he didn't deny it or asked any more questions. he enjoyed the comfort of you putting clips in his hair though.

HINATA SHOUYO man was bouncing off the walls the moment you brought up the trend to him. he was do flattered you thought of him. and so no questions asked, no doubts said, his head was already on your lap, with the small clips in his hand, handing them to you when you asked for one.

KOZUME KENMA he was playing a game when you told him about wanting to put clips in his hair. while you were talking, he had one side of his headphones, slightly put back so he can hear you. he threw glances your way while you were explaining the whole thing, and to your surprise, nodded when you were finished. "go ahead." was all he said. he plugged out his headphones and took them off so they weren't in the way. it was pretty convenient he was already sitting on the floor, so without any more time wasted, you got to work.

OIKAWA TORU he passed by you in the kitchen while you were on your phone. he was planning on watching another one of a rival team's past matches in the living room. before he left the kitchen, you called him and asked if you could put clips in his hair. he raised an eyebrow and you knew he was wondering why. he would still say yes without you explaining of course, but he knew there would be an actual reason with that excited look on your face. you told him about the trend and his face lit up. he knew he was a pretty boy but for you to confirm it? heck yeah he was going to let you put clips in his hair.

BOKUTO KOTAROU whenever he and akaashi were together, he was used to the latter being called the pretty or beautiful one. so imagine his joy when you went up to him showing him the video and calling him your beautiful boy. the both of you wasted no time getting your hair clips from your pouch and having him lay his head down on your lap. he was grinning the whole time all the while holding the hair clips for you.

TENDOU SATORI the moment you suggested putting hair clips in his hair, he raised an eyebrow at you. reasoning with him that it's a tiktok trend and that it's harmless, he reluctantly said yes. but when he found out what the trend was called, he sort of (?) short circuited and it may sound a bit over a top but he was flabbergasted. the rest of that day was spent with him sat on the floor in front of you whose on the couch, him quietly reading a manga while you decorated his hair with clips.

SAKUSA KIYOOMI he wasn't immediately fond of the idea of having small pieces of plastic in his hair, but since it was you; sure, it still took some (lots) of convincing and the promise that the clips are well sanitized, but eventually you got him on board. he didn't know what the purpose of all this is, but as long as it made you happy, he's all in. midway through it, you noticed the tip of his ears turning red. you asked him about it, but all he gave you was a shrug as a response. you calling him a beautiful boy stuck to him the whole time, but he won't tell you that.

twilight, the streets are twilight, they say. It's supposed to be silent, be slow! but just a few months back there were people with their wearables and bots jogging along each sidewalk, swearing at vehicles, zoned out in their lenses... so what happened? it's really simple; trends.

like tidal microplastics, they come and go with the seasons- the 'tubers rave about the benefits of outdoor walking, get off the treadmill! don't just use an imitation world, take! the! goggles! off!, #real_world_walkers! full social media shitstorm, and then the streets are flooded! like rats after poison, celebrity socials after cancellation, the people flee their houses and embrace the outdoors! go, my brave followers, put those feet on the sidewalk! see your city without obscura, without all those pesky AR overlays. so for a few months you can see a person's happiness, their eyes, their nose, not just those cute avatars or custom models. like old movies. the wrinkles, the actual eyelashes, not just an anime overlay. walkers.

and then, comes "walkgate".

it sounds like an incident, a true imitation of... whatever "watergate" was, those decades back. but no, it's just the roast channels.

oh, the dudebros, with their fancy mic setups and brick background, super manly fursona, speaking like a purebred podcaster- every lukewarm, lightly misogynistic statement spoken as if it is the culmination of all of society's knowledge, that this unimpressive man who has some vaguely controversial opinions is the true wisdom giver.

they rush in, children on candy, activist on social cause (that they barely care about), and demean the poor walkers till their soles are obliterated more than they already are. because walkers go all in. they buy the latest, most hi-tech gear, download the most popping playlists, walk till their stylish (trendy) shien shoes inevitably break, scramble like squirrels on seeds, searching, seeking, finding- pinterest inspo! because if you are filmed with anything less than latest trend, you should order a grave (use code "hailbezos" for 50% off your next sustainable death package purchase!) because your bones are rotting and you are on death's doorstep. you cannot be old, it is sin as rotten as cringe.

and then they walk, and they walk, and they barely meet the thirty-day #real_world_walkers challenge-

because it's hard, isn't it? experiencing the world without romantic sentiments, aesthetic filters, having to really look and observe at what's happening around you. because it's always different that the fyp leads you to believe.

some walk till they die. they don't, of course- medicine has improved a shit ton, but that's good news. and that person will walk till they die because they want to. and a fyp pruned by a mind on the edge will have nothing but hands eager to push. and a walk outside, in this crowded city, yes there's suffering, the stuff that plasters in the ideas set by algorithms, and then there's an old, closed pharmacy (sign up for dunzo and you get three FREE deliveries of any drugs of your choosing!), called "drug house", and it's just so whimsical and joyful that this person is startled. one, because it's a fucking drug house, and two, because how can there be any pure joyousness in the world when my insta is filled with sad edits and one, two, five, ten, thirteen reasons why?

and then some walk to prove the haters wrong. their "for me" page is pure optimism! concentrated microdoses of "the world is perfect! be happy with what you have!" cutesy canva posters about negativity and immoral evils that wish to corrupt the children, oh no, this rated-R movie had a... scene, in it, i showed it to my three year old, this is unacceptable! they will walk and show the world how absolutely positive they it is! and they stumble across the abandoned drug house (pharmacy, a legal pharmacy) and they. are. enraged.

holy fucking shit! (actually, they wouldn't swear, because that goes against the word of our lord and holy saviour, shannon_03, who loves each and every one of her 135k followers. they would probably clutch their 3D printed pearls and gasp in shock, screenshotting their bio-lense view, before posting to their instant-short-reel-status about the moral degradation of the world we live in today.)

this type of thing is unacceptable! but they look around and there are more and more signs of this type of moral decay, and more and more people who just don't give a fuck. and maybe then they think that perhaps, this type of thing doesn't matter at all.

so who, then, are those people who speak with (to) me, agreeing (warping) with my opinions?

are they lying? is my carefully curated view of the world... fake?

but how does that matter, the internet has spoken! the overwhelming popularity of the roasting, toasting, trashing of these walkers has flooded the pages of everyone who is anyone!

a girl with 50 filters to cover her 100 insecurities, hoping to one day pay off her student loans she got for a degree she can't use (but is that the story? or is she lying? or is the callout video you skipped three seconds in the liar?) is twerking at the camera (did she want to? or is that what everyone is doing, what everyone must do for a chance at fame? is it fame? maybe, but it might be money) as a text overlay with the most annoying, deep-fakey AI generated voice (is it annoying? or has everyone parroted it over and over until the only truth that exists is that?) reads the following text:

-walk at home! (none of that musty crunchy real life stuff!)

-keep the goggles on! (cutest world is the truest world!)

and then the streets are empty, and walking dead, and the shoes you bought go back in the closet until you trash them next season, when walking comes back, because those shoes? they are trendy now, but they will, forever from now, be old.

so like the microplastic-laden tide, it recedes, because the oceans may be more plastic than water but the tides remain, they come out and go in. and walking comes out, and goes in, over and over, until death.

but for now, the streets are twilight.

Lol I was totally right about this skirt being a quick project.  I think it only really needs another day of work, but I need to wait until I pick up some black bias tape before I can finish it, unfortunately.  I mean, unless I handsew the whole hem... hm.  Well, that’s an option, and I also need to add in the buttons.  As of right now, it’s really cute!!  Just enough gathers at the top to add interest without too much bulk, and enough flare at the bottom (from what I can tell so far) for substantial swoosh (an important criterion for determining how good a skirt it).  And all the finished seams just add a really lovely touch to wearing it.  I intend to make it upper-calf length (instead of just below the knee), I think, since it’s a flannel skirt and can be worn in the fall/winter.

After I finish this skirt (or,,, after I reach a point where I can’t/don’t feel like continuing), I think I’m going to finally cut out the fashion fabric for the waistcoat.  I’ve been talking about it for weeks now, and it’s time to get working on it, I think.  I think I can do quite a bit on it even without having the lining available, including outer darts, outer seam lines, attaching the interlining, padstitching, probably other things too.  I need to consult my sew-alongs for guidance first, though.

So I was on tiktok the other day, and my fyp handed me this tiktok of some makeup artist doing Corpse’s mask on her face.  It wasn’t the best makeup art I’ve ever seen, but it was definitely really well done.  Not the point though.  In the comments, lots of people were asking for Technoblade, Dream, George, Ranboo, etc., just as I figured they would.  What upset me though wasn’t that.  It was the number of people with comments like “ew look at all the rejects in the comments” and “I know these people in the comments have no friends” and other things along the same vein.  Now, I’ve talked my way though this, y’all know: I’m pretty secure in liking the things that I like.  But so many girls aren’t.  I should know; I was one of them.  Like,, it was just really rude?  For little to no reason?

Idk.  It wasn’t kind and that bothered me.  Let people like what they like, especially if it’s harmless.  Allow girls to express enthusiasm for what they enjoy without dismissing it.  And I know this is the internet and I know this doesn’t matter in the grand scope of things and I know I’m just soft (and I know that the outside perception of mcyt fans is quite negative (quite negative is probably an understatement lol) overall),,, but,,,,,, still.

Kind of an update: ,,, For ages I was wondering why I had started seeing all of these,,, well,,,, hm.  Y’all remember that account Teenager Posts?  For the past few months now, I’ve been getting the modern equivalent of edgy, moody Teenager Posts on my Pinterest feed, and it’s always confused me because I couldn’t for the life of me understand why they were so prevalent when I didn’t ever pin any of them to any boards.  Well,,, it’s because of my DSMP board.  I think I’ve figured it out: most girls (and gays and theys, etc) who pin DSMP stuff are probably also at the age where they’re pinning a lot of those really moody “i hate school” “why can’t my parents take the time to understand me” type stuff to boards as well.  It’s honestly lowkey annoying, but I know plenty of people my age (probably) went through a similar phase (you know the one: “i am the most interesting and complicated person to ever have lived etc etc” type beat), so.  Despite my annoyance, I sort of just smile, shake my head, and scroll past.

Today I’m thankful that the skirt is turning out well!!!  I was really worried that it wouldn’t have enough swoosh, but I don’t think that will be a problem.  There are some things about the construction that I would change, but they’re not huge issues by any means.  I’m glad I decided to handsew a bunch of the finishes instead of machining them down.  Looks better that way.  I also got through a ton of some EXU (my dnd-friend and cello-friend and I had to skip two weeks, but we intend to watch the VOD of the final episode(!) together simultaneously) which was awesome.
