It’s this time of the year again, folks. Time to wrap up the art Ive made in the last 12 months in another Year in Review! I’ve noticed that this is my fifth Year in Review in a row, so I’ll be making an extra post looking back on the progress in those last 5 years!
I've got a lot to say about this year, but purely art wise, I've gone all when it comes to comics, damn! I've kinda found a format that is messy, and therefore more time efficient, yet still looks good. I even made 2 animatics and lotsa shorts/reels! All that on top of opening coms twice, and, oh yeah, MAKING A WHOLE ASS 4MIN ANIMATION ON MY OWN.
How is my hand still alive.
2023 has been….interesting, to say the least. The first half year I was working on my thesis project, aka making an animated short all on my own (in the art department), which makes it honestly surprising how much I managed to churn out between animating. Trigun rly did have me in a choke hold.
Summer was a bit more spotty, esp. with me not being able to draw anything during August as I was writing my thesis (and doing commissions). And towards the end of the year, Kingdom Hearts tried to save me, but alas, Genshin Impact has finally sunk its teeth into me and dragged me to the bottom of the rabbit hole. It all started with me watching a story summary and lore videos while I was sick after my thesis and I was too intrigued to not dig deeper and well, first I fell in love with Kaeya and then the ships started dropping in left and right.
I’m not gonna lie, the last few months have been weird. I finished my masters in October, and have been on job hunt since, sadly without success so far. I’m existing in this weird limbo of still not grasping I’m not a student anymore after 18 years in education, not really being able to accept I’m an adult, yet desperately trying to find something so I can make a routine, cos rn Im too scared to build a rhythm as I know I’ll have a so much harder time readjusting again. It’s left me in a weird emotional state, where most of the time I feel fine, but when it counts, there’s just, nothing. No joy at getting my diploma, no anticipation to finally go to a convention again, neither any sadness hearing my grandfather died. It frustrates me that it extends to my art as well, there’s excitement over ideas and concepts, but no motivation to pick up the pencil, which makes me either not finish art at all or making so many shortcuts and just ending up with sth not satisfactory to me since it’s not the idea I sought after.
Tho, not everything is doom and gloom. I DID finish a whole ass short animation and got my masters degree, that IS sth to be proud of. Also, while Im struggling at drawing, I’ve also kinda started integrating my shortcuts into my style and some stuff I’ve thrown together actually turns out real good nowadays. Also, and this might be a bit of a weird one, I’m so fucking happy to know I can still enjoy gay ships. I’ve been a bit uncertain over the last few years because when I was around 16-18, I had a real big yaoi phase, which mostly came from the fact so much stuff came out that tickled my brain in the right way (Free, Haikyuu, etc.). But over the years, my enthusiasm died down, and I even started to resent some ships because it’s all some fandoms produced. I often found myself liking a hetero ship more than the popular gay ship, which really made me not wanna stick around because I did not care for most fanart and you can only go through a tag with art you don’t care about so long before you lose interest. I think in retrospect that it rly had nothing to do with the ships being gay ships but rather cos the fans just shoved it in your face when you didn’t care (and shipping culture nowadays also can get real scary). But I’m so happy to see I can still get obsessed with a ship and it’s all thanks to Haikaveh/Kavetham. It really just needed the right flavour for me to dig in again. And oh my god, I FINALLY like a ship with a SHIT TON of art and fanfictions, no more scrounging the crumbs from the bottom of the barrel.
Anyways, enough lamenting. Here’s to hoping I can bite my tongue and get shit started properly in 2024, and that my brainrots may make me obsessed enough to churn out an obscene amount of fanart again.

Diluc Ragnvindr is a Fucking Menace
(A fight style analysis for @moonilit )
Tumblr media
Do you see this man? Do you SEE him???? THIS MAN HAS 3 FUCKING FIGHT SCENES IN THE PROLOGUE ALONE.
And you know what I’ve gathered from this?
1. He’s a menace to society and needs to remember that fire kills people
His burst is a giant fuck-you phoenix flying directly across the battlefield. Diluc. Diluc do you THINK???? That is SO much collateral damage! That’s SO FUCKING DANGEROUS!
This supports my own personal theory that he’s totally not used to fighting near… Well, people. And residential buildings. And… Things in general.
He’s used to being hunted through the snowy wastes of Snezhnaya by the Fatui and their harbingers. That is not a place where you’re thinking of collateral damage! That’s just survival!
Even though there are other characters with huge bursts, they usually don’t share the intent of clearing a battlefield. Diluc’s burst pushes you back. It’s unusual! It’s utilitarian! It’s specifically meant to compensate for being outnumbered or overpowered.
This whole “utilitarian use of elements to push mobs of enemies away from you” thing reminds me of a certain…. Someone.
(Which is incredibly fitting for an early game player. You’re likely to get these two characters during the part of the game where you’re constantly overwhelmed by even basic enemies.)
2. Sick hops
Tumblr media
Speaking of being outnumbered and overpowered, this guy can hop 20 feet in the air, do a sick flip, and land in running form approximately 4 times per fight. Incredibly anime of him I must say.
Usually a guy relying on pure firepower and brute strength wouldn’t be so acrobatic. But yet again, I look at his coming-of-age murder crusade and I go “yeah that checks out.” He was running away and trying not to get skewered for like two years.
He seems especially well versed in ice, because in the next scene, he’s encased in ice and melts himself out in seconds.
Isn’t that adorable? Kaeya gets the fire trauma and Diluc gets the ice trauma!
3. Former Cavalry(?) Captain
His normal, charged, and skill attacks seem to be closer to what he just learned. He swings are heavy and brutal. Exactly when you’d expect from a local anime vigilante.
IF HE WASN’T SUPPOSED TO BE THE FORMER CAVALRY CAPTAIN!
You can’t use a fucking GREATSWORD on a fucking HORSE. It makes even less sense than Kaeya. I cannot see Diluc “You killed my father, prepare to die” Ragnvindr learning to use a bow or a polearm as a kid either. He would fucking break them. Like Noelle.
I wanna see that interaction
But this leads into my theory that “Cavalry Captain” is legitimately just a front for the position of “Spymaster.” It would make a lot of sense actually. Only deeply trusted individuals, highly skilled in intelligence work with significant connections, seem to get the title. And why is it that two Cavalry Captains were chosen, or at least, were likely to be chosen, as the third in command? That’s so specific and weird.
Diluc likely never needed to learn in-depth cavalry techniques to become Cavalry Captain. That wasn’t his job. Therefore, he is not a bow or polearm user, and he appears to work best in melee combat.
In Conclusion:
Diluc Ragnvindr is used to fighting for his own life in the snowy wasteland, not working around collateral damage and moral quandaries about vigilantism.

Imagine being Diluc Ragnvindr's significant other.
Imagine being left with nothing but a letter letting you know about his departure as he suddenly left the Mondstadt City one day.
Imagine the pain of longing, change, adjustment of the things that was once there was now gone and missing.
Imagine being the one to be in charge of the things your lover has left behind, having no reason to refuse, hoping this was one of the few things you could do while your lover, the one was now the head of the household was gone of to somewhere you do not know.
Imagine as years went by, the more you grew accustomed to the works around the winery and business. Once in awhile, Adelinde would receive a letter coming from your lover, it was nothing but a note that says he's alive and well. Doesn't really ease the pain and longing you felt for him.
Imagine one night after a very eventful day at the tavern, having a talk with Kaeya and Sister Rosaria the night before, having the two encouraging you to drink your fill for the night, but you didn't. You had too much more waiting for you at home waiting to be done.
Imagine the going to sleep and waking up with the sound of your name being called, a very familiar yet unfamiliar voice calling. You did not mind it at all, just groaning and shifting, wanting to sleep more. Then you heard a chuckle, the feeling of someone stroking your hair, making you snooze into sleep.
"I had a really good sleep today." You yawn, rubbing your eyes as you navigate your way downstairs from the manor, all on your nightgown and when you finally reached the end of the stairs, you stopped.
Imagine the way your (eye color) iris widen upon seeing your lover, unlike the way he was before, his hair has grown, he looked buff and mature as ever, if it wasn't for his hair you wouldn't have recognized him. He was talking to the butler and maids at the moment, then his eyes fell upon you.
Imagine the way words were stuck on your throat, the feeling of wanting to say something but can't really do so. You just stood their, both of you staring at each other. Then he looked away, continuing the conversation between him and the staffs of the manor. For the first time, you felt the distance of time between the two of you.
Imagine the dinner with the two of you that night, the silence slowly eating away your appetite as you silently glance at your lover across the dining table. It was suffocating. The silence between the two of you were just.. Awkward. Not like those years were everything seems alright and joyful. This atmosphere makes you want to cry but you try to relax, clearing your throat as you set down your utensils.
"So.. uhmm.. How was your journey.. Lu- Diluc?" You called him out like you did before but it doesn't feel just right. The distance between the two of you seems further right now to call him out like that.
Imagine the way he too puts down his utensils, picking up the cloth and bring it close to his lips to wipe it. Then he stood gently stood up, at the same time you felt your heart dropped. "Why don't we take a rest for the night? (First name)" "Huh? Ah. Right.. Yes.. Let's do that, you must be tired after all."
Imagine the uneasiness building up inside you as days have gone by as the distance between you and you lover had had grown bigger. You knew he wasn't the same as he was before, he was rather aloof than the person he was before, even the way he started treating others had change. That being said you really aren't sure on what to feel knowing he hasn't just changed on you but to everyone around him.
Imagine as you cried silently, or at least what you thought. Diluc as just listening outside, one hand holding the doorknob, the other holding a tray of your favorite beverage that will help you sleep at night, but then he stopped, at your door step he stopped upon hearing your painful cries. Knowing he could be the cost of it, he took a deep breath.
Imagine his mind going back in his near death encounter. The moment he was about to lost his consciousness, the flash of your face was the first thing that came into mind. Until the very end, you were the first and last person who came into as everything went black, your were the name he called out.
Imagine upon waking up in fatal injuries and bandage, you were the first person once again who came in his mind. The thought of not being with you as he took his last breath seems to hunt him. For the first time in years of seeking revenge and wandering around. He thought that it was finally time to come back home, to come back to you.
Imagine upon coming home, the first thing or person he seeked for was you, he had been receiving letter for Adelinde for years about you after all. Going inside your room the first thing he saw was your sleeping figure on the bed.
Imagine the feeling of relief and longing as he gently and silently made his way towards you. Unconsciously calling out your name, he stroke your (hair color) hair, a chuckle leaving his lips upon seeing you stirring on your sleep. And then he pull out his hand.
Imagine for a moment he stare at his hand, the image of it so bloody came into mind, making him unconsciously step back, looking at your hair only to find no traces of blood in it, just you peacefully sleeping still.
Imagine as he stood there in bedroom door. All those memories came into mind. Once again he snapped back into reality upon hearing your cries. The hand that was holding the doorknob slowly tighten his hold as his heart throb in pain. Soon enough, he walked away.
"Where are you going?" "Huh? Uhmm. I'll be staying in the city for awhile.." "Why?" He looked confused when he asked that you almost take back what you just said, but then you took a deep breath.
"Uhmm. You're uncomfortable being with me right now, right? To be honest.. Uhm.. Luc.. Diluc you've barely interact with me ever since you came back. I know somethings have changed, not only you but me too of course, we're not the same person as we were years ago when we were eighteen but I.. I tried okay? I know I'm not the best but we can't stay like this Diluc.. I want to get to know you more.. this version of the new you ever since you came back.. but everytime I made a move you just ignore nor try to change the subject. In order for this relationship to continue we just both make a move. I think.. I think we should take a break, Diluc." You spoke, brushing off the tears that went down your cheeks by the end of your words.
Imagine the look on his face upon hearing your words, the way you can't seem to face him as you wipe of the tears on your cheek. His heart painfully throbbing on his chest upon realizing how much he have been hurting you all this time ever since he came back.
Imagine turning your back at him, bag already in hand as you were about to take a step forward. But then a strong pair of arms warp itself around your waist and shoulder. "I'm sorry." He said and so you cried.
"I'm sorry for making you feel unease, I never meant to hurt you." He added, keeping you still in his arms. "I.. I was never the same guy as I was back then years ago, I admit. I.. I have do somethings when I was out on a journey. I got blood on my hand now, my love." "I thought I was taking things slow, turns out I was just hurting you. I'm so sorry, I really am. But believe me my love. My feelings for you were still the same, in fact much even stronger than it was before, you're my only home now my love." His hold on your tighten.
Imagine, wiggling out of his embrace that almost breaks his heart, almost fearing you may not accept nor forgive him when you end up facing him and hugging him back, bags no longer in hand as you cried in his chest. For the first time ever since he came back, he felt like the man you loved.
Imagine as the two of you hugged in silence as he let you calm down crying in his arms. Running his hand up and down your back, his chin resting on your head as he once in awhile would kiss the crown of your head. Damn he missed this. And then he heard you sniff, gently pulling away from him as you look up to him. You look cute with fluffy red eyes and red nose to him, making him smile, making you smile.
"Stay?" "Only if you stop ignoring me." You pout, making him lean down to steal you a kiss. "I love you." "I love you too, Luc"
He loves it when you call him like that.

❥︎ Venti plans on raising little kaeya as his own, but things don't go according to plan. ❥︎ part oneㅤ-ㅤpart twoㅤ-ㅤpart three ❥︎ 2.6k words ❥︎ might be a bit rushed, i apologize for that !
Tumblr media
Raising a child is quite the challenge according to Venti: the more time passed, the more worried he became of the boy. Of course, this may not seem like a bad thing, but the only reason he's taking it as one is because as time flies past the two, the more Kaeya began to open up and express his child like nature in such a scary way. Which means, he's curious. He constantly wants to go out and explore, and always finding least a little bit of joy in trivial things, sometimes even when there's danger.
Just how did his previous family raise him? At first the bard grew to be concerned for Kaeya's past well-being, but then again, there isn't much that can be done other then keep a close eye on him.
Despite him changing a bit these past few months, there's one thing that Kaeya still struggles with: socializing. While he's fine with Venti since he's the one caring for him, but every time the two visit Mondstadt, the child can't help but aggressively cling onto his guardian as though he was going to be taken away. And yet, all Venti can do is gently pat his head with reassurance that everything was going to be alright as long as the two were together.
Currently, the two were sitting at a table waiting for their food at Good Hunter. Venti leans against the back of his seat while playing a few strings on his lyre to pass time, but also for the blue haired child sitting right next to him.
"You know, my little Kaeya," the bard opens one eye and peaks at the said boy, who looks up from the lyre and at him. "We come to Mondstadt almost every single day, but I never see you at least try to make a friend." He stops playing his instrument and sets it on the table.
Kaeya, at this statement, catches his breath and crosses his arms as he leans back against his chair as well. He inhales and holds it for a few seconds before letting it all out. "I don't trust these people."
He speaks with complete honesty in his voice, and it makes his guardian tilt his head, but then let's out a small chuckle. "Well, how would you know if one is considered trustworthy if you don't know anything about them? You could be missing an opportunity and ignoring the person who could be the closest friend you could ever have."
"I'd rather just stick with you." Venti's mouth opens slightly at this as though he was taken by surprise, but his shock quickly diminishes and is replaced by a kind smile.
Although that's not what Venti meant, he doesn't say anything against to what his adopted son said considering that it did, in fact, warm him. At least one person was there to listen to his troubles when needed and could be there to help him when he doesn't understand, which is likely why he doesn't care about making friends: because Venti is all he needs.
Not much was said afterwards, there wasn't anything needed to say. Once the food came they ate in silence, but filled with content.
They were both comfortable in each other's presence even after that dinner, gripping on to each other to show the other that they were still here, sometimes occasionally humming little toons with each building they pass.
They didn't do as much that day compared to the rest; they simply ate a few times, went on walks, and occasionally talked with passerbys (or at least Venti would while Kaeya buried his face in Venti's side.)
Still though, each day everything settled upon Kaeya, much like back then. Although, the only difference is that he actually feels comfortable and protected within the presence of the bard.
And it's only been three months.
Tumblr media
Quite a situation to be in: to slowly begin to forget his past life in such a short amount of time because of comparing how he was treated in both of those lives. He chose the better one and decided that it would be best to toss the other out the window and enjoy his second life filled with comfort and love.
What a sad situation.
A child in his first life with his first father who was practically being forced to grow into a young man and develop a mature personality.
What a joke that man was. He hopes he nevers sees the face of that man again. Because now, with the life of his second father, there is no need to grow up so quickly. He shouldn't have to, the only thing that he should understand is that he shouldn't be punished simply for being what he is: a child.
Kaeya let's out a yawn as he stretches his legs on the sofa, moving the book he was reading out of his face as he stretches his arms as well. He glances at the clock hanging on the wall.
It's almost 10, normally he's asleep by then, but for some reason he wasn't that tired.
Instead, he plops the book on the table and searches for his dad, which didn't take too long since he already knew where to search.
"Dad." Kaeya climbs up the ladder on the side of the house that leads to the roof (that Venti put up himself for the kid to relax with him.) Venti is laying on his back and his eyes are closed, but his fingers danced with his lyre strings as he plays soft melodies that Kaeya was all too familiar with.
Hearing the sound of his sons voice, he cracks open one eye, looking at the smile that decorated the childs face. He smirks before opening his other eye and sits up, holding his lyre against his chest. "Isn't it past your bedtime?"
Kaeya felt like a true child once he said that, because even though it was rather a simple statement, it made him let out a childlike giggle and rush up towards him.
"Hey hey, slow down! I don't want you falling off the roof, now do I?" Venti reaches out and grips onto his sons hand, helping him sit next to him (even though it was unnecessary.) Watching him plop down next to him and slumping on his back in such a dramatic way made him set aside his lyre and relax next to him.
"My little Kaeya," he starts, almost wanting to scoff. "You didn't answer my question."
The little boys smile widens slightly as he raises his hand and sweeps his dark blue hair away from his covered eye, resting his fingers on the eye patch. "I guess I just wasn't tired yet." He answers, yet his voice seemed low and sounding as though he's lost in thought. "But you're probably going to make me sleep, aren't you?"
A chuckle can be heard from the bard before he sits up, watching each star that decorate the sky, almost as though he was counting each and every one of them. "You know me so well."
He stands up, stretching his arms out. "Your health is very important you know! Having an irregular sleep schedule can cause a lot of issues!"
"Dad.. sometimes you're too overbearing when it comes to my health."
"Kaeya." His tone softened ever so slightly as he reaches a hand towards the child. "Remember how I found you."
He didn't want to remember that: the cold rain as each drop slipped down his pale skin as he shivered in the middle of nowhere, dreaming of the proper life instead of hell that he was forced to be a part of.
The way that Venti loosely holds his hand out, waiting for him to take it so that he could go to bed was the same way that he held his hand out to him those few months ago waiting for him to come to his new home.
Maybe he hasn't given him enough thanks for what he's done for him.
"Alright alright, I'll go to bed."
Tumblr media
Venti finds it rather odd how the hilichurls and abyss mages are seen much more frequently then before. He remembers overhearing about it a couple months back and it was beginning to cause distress among the people of Mondstadt.
And the more he started to think and remember, the more started to realize that all of this mostly began once he took in Kaeya. And the longer he kept him..
..the worse Mondstadt was becoming.
Venti didn't like this.
Who knew that Khaenri'ah would be so desperate to do something as stupid as this, especially to a child, but now that things are becoming more clear, what options did the anemo archon have?
He could keep Kaeya with him under his care and help Mondstadt with any threat that comes its way. Yeah, that sounds right, but then again the number one thing on Venti's mind isn't even Mondstadt despite being it's archon, it's God.
It's Kaeya.
And if he's dealing with stress, like his own dad fighting off to save his own nation, then Venti would be next to him in an instant.
He could give Kaeya to the Knights of Favonious headquarters while getting rid of the threats.
No, because most of the threat may be near, but not inside of Mondstadt. Some make their ways inside, but they never really come back out. The reason why they aren't bothering to go in head on is because they know Kaeya isn't in there; he's out here. No wonder Venti felt oddly uncomfortable with the amount of hilichurls and even some mitachurls near his home, near his son.
Why are they so desperate to get a child back that was abandoned by them anyways? They want him to give him back?
Hell no, that's not an option. Taking in an abandoned kid just to abandon him again, what a cruel thing to do, especially to a kid who's already suffering enough as is.
Venti was getting fed up with everyone.
The bard let's out a frustrated sigh as he tiredly pass by each tree, pressing a hand on them to help his steady balance. Kaeya ended up sleeping just as he said he would, which was such a relief, but instead of falling asleep as well, he decided to just go for a walk instead.
However, once opening his eyes again, he didn't expect to see a group of hilichurls causing a scene around a fire and a pot that was filled with.. something that just didn't smell good. Most of them were dancing to the sound of the crackling of the fire and the few others were fighting in such a child like way.
It was annoying. He didn't want to use his lyre, he didn't want to use his arrows, he wanted to use his hands. He was becoming increasingly enraged and violent.
He purposely stomps on a thin branch to get their attention, causing their little party to come to a stop as they turn all of their attention to him.
"I'm fed up with all of you. Endangering my son, endangering my nation. What else?" He tightly grips onto his bow as his glare darkens. "You're getting brave. You all keep coming closer and closer to our house."
He doesn't even wait for the hilichurls to move as he loads his bow and shoots on at the first hilichurl in the front, watching as it pierces through his arm and inside of a tree. It was stuck now.
Good, it can stay there, now for the rest.
He loads his bow again, analyzing each of these ugly creatures before shooting.
Getting rid of them is the easy part; they're weak, but doing this every night will be a problem. How long can he keep this up when more and more charge at him.
He can't ask for assistance with the knights because then they'll request for him to bring his son to headquarters, which will only bring more problems. Are they going to have to find a new house? Even if they do, they'll quickly be found, just like how quickly they found their current house.
What kind of a father even is he? How can he take care of his own son if he was beginning to struggle so much. If this keeps up, Kaeya will..
No, there's no point in thinking about that, but something about that thought haunts him. Where did he find the kid again? Right, on the very edge of Springvale. He was sitting against a tree that was next to a path that lead to the winery that Venti knew very well.
Dawn Winery. The owner has a son too, right? Around Kaeya's age? They haven't been getting much disturbances there, he's heard, so maybe..
Venti's fingers clench tightly into fists as he stares at the house that he spent those three months with. Those beautiful, wonderful three months.
He'll never forget those three months.
He slowly opens the door and makes his way to his sons room, seeing his messy blue hair sprawled on the pillow and his arms tightly clenching around one of his blanket as though it was a person.
The bard sighs, carefully picking him up in his arms and grabbing the old blanket that he kept when he found him and begin to wrap him with it.
Once he left his home, his breathing became uneven with short staggered breaths as words haunt and shake him. He feels ashamed of doing something like this, even the thought was outrageous.
Yet there was nothing that could be done as he set the child down against that same tree, his heart throbbing in agony. He sits on a high branch, wanting to see his delicate face just one more time before he goes. His long lashes that made his appearance look more endearing, his eye patch that he was always so adamant to keep on, his messy hair that is loosely tied on a low ponytail.
He should leave about now, but for some reason he can't. He can't. That's his son, his little boy. He doesn't want to take his eyes off of him.
How can two people be so close in such a short amount of time?
It was almost like everything went back to the very beginning, when it was raining and thunder was raging above the clouds, only now it wasn't as aggressive as it was before. The thunder was quiet and somewhat calming, and the rain was soft as though each droplet was a kiss to ones cheek.
And then light. Venti saw light.
Crepus was there with a lantern until his eyes settle upon the sleeping child. His eyes fill up with pity, seeing his lonely state.
Venti almost wanted to jump down there and grab Kaeya, but then again, maybe letting Crepus take him would be a safer route for the boy. At least he'll finally have a friend to play with.
What was his sons name again?
Diluc. His name was Diluc. He remembers seeing him occasionally run about outside of the winery to help his father collect grapes from the vines, and also chase some of the crystal flies when the sun would be down.
Venti could only stare and watch as Crepus carries the boy in his arms and make his way to the winery.
Would Kaeya hate him for this? Would he even understand?
Shit..
Maybe he wasn't cut out to be a parent. Maybe he should have picked him up and took him closer to the winery instead. At least, that's what he's telling himself.
My little Kaeya. You just wait for me.
I'll be back.

adventuring rambles #1
HAHAHA I TOTALLY DIDN'T KEEL OVER BECAUSE OF SICKNESS, FINALS, AND GENERALLY JUST PERISHING LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT AT ALL anyway, so i'm currently deep in the brain rot (i have been the entire time gone, u think this shit goes away? no, no it doesn't, i live here now) and i was thinkin abt like, yk, how time works in Teyvat. cuz like me personally i didn't start playing till after Sumeru (and my acc is as old as Inazuma release but i didnt play cuz reasons), but every nation is updated like what, every year or so? so, therefore, at least in my opinion (and thus my h/c's b/c SUE ME) the traveler is in each nation for about a year. which means Lumi's in Mondstadt for a year after the Dvalin thing, doing generally good deeds and getting commissions and figuring out how Mora and stuff works (bc this IS a new world for her, girl doesn't know EVERYTHING yet) so there's a year of her helping out around Mondstadt, working w/ Kaeya and essentially doing team building b/c he's gonna be traveling w/ her when the Rite of Descension finally comes around, wringing Paimon for information on everything she can (girl is feral for info on Teyvat), all that jazz. which makes sense; the Traveler comes to be Very Well Known TM and while fighting a dragon is cool i doubt that's the ONLY reason she gets to be well known, right?
anyway, this massive prelude is just me yapping abt how they totally go to Dragonspine nearer the end of the year to do stuff. and the only reason they CAN go to Dragonspine is b/c they meet Bennett (who Lumi immediately wants to adopt b/c HE'S A BABY), and Benny offers to take 'em up there. :) so,,, i like to imagine that when they're up in Dragonspine, doing everything that has to do w/ that place, a silly thing happens where Lumi and Kaeya kinda get separated from Bennett and like,,, trapped in a place and almost get murdered by a Frostarm Lawlachurl (i have horrible trauma w/ that one fucker by the goddamn crimson tree. he may be dead but i will never forget the fear). anyway, so Kaeya literally almost dies, and it culminates w/ Lumi almost dying to sheer cold to get him to a waypoint, and then her refusing to leave him while he's getting patched up b/c uh oh abandonment issues! (dw abt Bennett and Paimon btw, they made it back to Mondstadt to try and get help; tho tbf that was also an arduous journey in of itself)
now, u must be asking; why did i come up w/ this idea?
b/c it was the best way to express the general Dragonspine experience, and also bc i CAN. totally didn't also write a love confession afterwards, no not at all, i'm not a psychopath
after this, Lumi never goes to Dragonspine w/o AT LEAST 15 warming bottles. and after she finds out abt portable waypoints, u know for a FACT she carries 5 on her at All Times. also Kaeya would never admit it but he gets a little stressed around Frostarm Lawlachurls now.
anyway i WILL Return TM w/ the silly goofy Liyue chapter (at least everything i can FUCKIN REMEMBER BRO (tho i DID take notes when my friend redid it so!! :)c))

I genuinely think Klee and the Dottores would get along so well. [NOT A SHIP]
Not just in a “haha bombs go brr” sense, though they can find common ground there for sure.
Klee is a child raised by the KoF found family, which, as sweet and loving as it is, is also bound by knightly duties. Klee keeps being locked up in her room, in solitary confinement, all the while the reputation of the destructive spark knight builds. Albedo and Kaeya and the rest of them do their best, but children generally need playmates that are their own age, and Klee just…does not have that. Even Diona is EMPLOYED and hence is always busy. Yea.
Now, Dottore.
[3.2 archon quest spoilers]
He has clones, and he has clones that are stuck at the mental and physical state of when he was a child. Maybe he’s spiteful like that, maybe he just wanted to see if he could do it, but he has them.
And Dottore, Zandik, was a child rejected by both community and later, the Akademiya. Though we can guess that he was somewhat popular in the academy, Zandik as a child had next to nobody. He was a genius far ahead of his years, yet with little notion of “right” and “wrong” and a confidence in his abilities that everyone around him would call arrogance. We can only assume those are the reasons he was chased out of his hometown.
Now, both of them together.
They are children with passions leaning towards weaponry and machines, both geniuses in their own right, and both in need of a playmate, or even just company. Where Klee is obedient, and would comply to solitary confinement orders, Zandik would have learned way early on that the opinions of adults who don’t understand aren’t worth the dirt on his shoe. Where Zandik’s social skills are in the pits, Klee would talk about anything, everything, there will never be a silent moment between them.
Zandik learns the singular worse thing than being ostracized—being ostracized AND forced to stay in confinement—and how to open his eyes to more than just his research and work. Klee learns bits of an ancient language of a forgotten nation, carved onto the bodies of ruin machines and their parts—and gets a lot of cool robot bits to play with.
One day they will make a giant, robotic Dodoco that can scan for fish and blast them.
Their arguments would always result in at least one crater, and when they work together, archons help whoever dares to try and stop them.
I think they should be lifelong friends. Buddies. Companions. Klee is very, very long lived, I’m 99% sure Dottore is unkillable so long as he keeps churning out segments. Age and erosion will never risk tearing them apart. In fact, Klee would gain a lot of…brothers? Uncles? Father figures? They’re all terrible at parenting for her and fight and argue all the time. The older Dottores might straight up see her as a potentially powerful weapon, but she would be irreplacable to the youngest Dottores.
I just have so many many MANY thoughts about them.

There is no logical explanation for hating DainsLumi
I was a little surprised when I searched Twitter for Dainslumi and found actual people who hate the Ship. Why? -----------------------------------------------------
The age of the travelers: The age of travelers is a hotly debated topic in the Genshin community. Ultimately, age depends on who is allowed to be shipped to whom, if one goes by (pseudo)moral standards. In the game you find out that Lumine and Aether even if they look like 15 year olds are over 500 years old, maybe even three thousand years old. Venti, on the other hand, is over 2,600 years old. The boy he depicts, however, is 15 years old. Klee is a small child and 48 Years old while her mother Alice, a grown woman, is 500 years old. Why fans keep pointing out that the travelers are young is due to the alcohol issue. The first time we as travelers were made aware of the issue of alcohol was in Mondstadt. We are told that we are too young for alcoholic drinks. Later we mention to Yukio in Inazuma that we can't drink alcohol yet. But why are we not allowed to drink alcohol while Venti is allowed to? Both people are physically 15 years old. 1. Venti is a god. With Venti you know that he can't be 15 years old. Lumine and Aether don't notice that they are older than their bodies. 2. The traveler was thrown into a completely forgein world. And the first thing he/she is told is: "You can't have no alcohol. You're still too young." So either the traveler sticks to it, because he/she thinks it is the rules of this world. So he/she doesn't know any better. Or to keep his/her origins as secret as possible. The fact is that the traveler wanted to try alcoholic drinks in Diona's shop and told her that he/she is older than he/she looks. And yet the traveler is not believed. We have it in black and white that the traveler cannot be 15 years old. The fact that the traveler himself later says in Inazuma "I'm not allowed to drink alcohol yet" is probably due to the fact that people wouldn't believe the traveler anyway if he said he was not a minor.
Tumblr media
Of course, some creatures may take longer to age. The best example is Klee. But Klee's mother Alice is a young adult and at 500 years old, not even half the age of the travelers. That's why I suspect that their bodies no longer age at all. The text with Diona strongly suggests this. In this case, Lumine is not a minor. Rival Shippings - DainKae: What I am going to say now is MY personal opinion. You don't have to share it or feel offended by it. I accept any other ship with Lumine or Dainsleif. Thanks!
I honestly don't understand what foundations DainKae is built on. We've had a conversation between the two so far. Which turned out pretty down cooled. Dainsleif was very confrontational und it seems that Kaeya leaves so fast, because he feels quite uncomfortable. In addition, Kaeya is a descendant of the one who founded the "Abyss Order". And as everyone knows, Dainsleif is enemies with it. Of course, Kaeya has made it clear that he would rather fight this organization than support it, but it can still be a hindrance to a relationship between them. Lumine, on the other hand, is Dainsleif's enemy. But he was able to build enough of a relationship with her through their travels together that he still holds on to her and wants to save her. Soberly speaking, Dainslumi has a better starting point for a relationship than DainKae. In my opinion, Kaeya also fits Diluc better. At least they have a more interesting and closer relationship than Kaeya and Dainsleif. Rival Shippings - Dainther: Disputes between Lumine fans and Aether fans are probably as old as the Genshin community itself. I have to say, as a Lumine fan, it bothers me that Aether displaces her in almost every shipping. But in this case that shouldn't actually be the case. Aether fans often argument with that Aether is the original traveler. I'll take the Aether fans at their word now, because Aether is actually the main character, -the traveler.
Tumblr media
You can see him in this webcomic and he can usually be seen in official pictures. In the battle pass you can see a legend that is quite tailored to the two travelers and one shows the sister as an Abyss princess. Fine, you won. So let Lumine be the only ship that is truly tailored to her. Rival Shippings - HalfDain: Halfdain is the only ship where I can understand their shippers. Yes. Halfdan was just a minor character whose purpose was his sacrifice and consequent death. But in one scene a lot of emotions really came up. You could tell how Dainsleif suffered. The scene with the grave flowers and the handshake between the two had something nostalgic. Halfdain was important to Dainsleif. But when romance is implemented into this short scene, one shouldn't ignore Dainsleif's feelings for Lumine either.
Tumblr media
Source Their relationship: Dainsleif likes to compare Aether to Lumine and tells him about the flowers she loved so much. He reacts extremely negatively to the Abyss Herald and is not afraid to kill him. Maybe the point that he follows her like that, can be seen as excessive? But I can't imagine it. To me, Dainsleif behaves like a person in love, but not like a freak. And the fact that Lumine sees him as an enemy is not an exclusion criterion for the couple. She seems to have been manipulated, as the legend goes, or is on the wrong path. But that doesn't change the fact that the two were once close and it can't be that way again. ----------------------------------------------------- Lumine is of full age and they have a tragic story that can easily be interpreted as a romance. They have the most content and seemingly have a based bond with each other that was severed by their disagreement. Their connection is not toxic and they are both still alive. So if you don't hate the ship, just because you favor another, there's no reason to hate or dislike Dainslumi.

I finally got to play tcg with my bf. we'd been talking about doing it for a hecking while. now that it finally happened though... idk if I should be surprised that shoddy internet got in the way (as usual. it's always fucked things up when trying to do things together remotely). which lowered the mood a little bit. and I kept winning because it was literally his first time playing tcg after he did the tutorial like three weeks ago. and I guess I've gotten somewhat decent at deckbuilding at this point. first I used my trusty bennett-fischl-chong deck, then it soon became clear that there was no way in hell he'd win against that team. (he also really wants to use only the chibi characters and monsters, which means he won't be using a lot of the busted cards.) so for the rest of the matches I went with a sucrose-oceanid-kaeya deck. obviously I still put thought into that comp (because I'd feel bad using an actual random bullshit deck — I didn't want to make it look like I was looking down on him or something), but still way easier to beat than the first comp (at least I think it is). but he kept losing to that deck too.
he's definitely not the sore loser type, and he didn't seem all that bummed by not getting a single win. he was pleased that he actually killed one of my characters in the very last game, and he told me in jest that he would "have his revenge" in a rematch someday. I just feel bad for absolutely ripping him to shreds even though I didn't intend to. and because I realized the absolutely massive knowledge gap between us. he just needs to get familiar with what different effects/passives do and how they manifest, and learn the logic behind choosing a team comp (how each character would contribute, what rotation to use, the fact that this game relies on rotations at all, etc.) and choosing action cards for said comp. stuff that he's definitely no stranger to because he plays gwent and loves card games in general. I really do think he can kick my ass in this game; he just isn't familiar with all the things yet. and now I kinda want to think about how I would teach a complete noob how to play tcg. like yeah there's the in-game tutorial that teaches you the basic mechanics, but it doesn't at all teach you how to build an effective deck. you can't just throw big dps's in the same deck and expect to have a good time (flashbacks to when I ran a yae-zhongli-xiao deck to grind proficiency... *shudders*). you either have supports that help your main damage dealer survive and do more damage for big numbers (hypercarry), or you have multiple smaller damage dealers that can buff each other's damage via reactions to consistently chip away at the enemy's health (quickswap). it's very similar to the base game in that respect.

Has wanting to write a Sumeru Akademiya Diluc AU led to me trying to figure out when who was where in comparison to Diluc's age? Yes.
Am I satisfied with the results? No, but that's only because things won't work out in ways I would have liked.
Anyway I want to share my data points and result, so:
General:
This was made with information from 3.5. Read before Kaveh release.
Lisa studied two years on the advanced track. I am assuming that a "regular course length" is three years and all characters in question had the intelligence to only need these three years for their studies.
Also I'm kind of assuming the traveller is in Sumeru about a year after the story begins. That's just personal preference and the only thing this really effects is Tighnari's age and time as forest ranger (as well as Cynos time as General Mahamatra/Matra)
Also all of these events have a little wiggle room of about 1-2 years, although some can be "wiggled" less
Data Points for Tighnari and Cyno:
Tighnari was investigated by Cyno when he joined the Akademiya for being suspiciously well liked. This implies that either Matra trainees start their work while still studying, which I doubt, or that Cyno's first year as a Matra was Tighnari's first year at the Akademiya.
Tighnari:
When the traveller reaches Sumeru he has been a forest ranger for at least a year with the reputation he has gotten. (Must have graduated at Diluc's 22 years of age at latest)
Lisa (our great connection):
Studied two years
Came to Mondstadt when Kaeya was Cavalry Captain and Varka was still around. This leaves her finishing her studies within a two year span between Diluc's 18th year (Kaeya becomes Cavalry Captain) and his 20th, where Varka leaves (2 years before game start).
Lisa and Cyno in relation:
Lisa refers to Cyno as a senior, so he must have been both a student and at least a year into his studies when she arrives.
Lisa and Tighnari: Tighnari's voiceline about Lisa does not sound like they met. Therefore I will be assuming they did not study at the Akademiya at the same time. (He only knows of her through Cyno, and she was quite the living legend at the Akademiya, so he would have heard of her then and not through Cyno later)
Also this version of the timeline is made to give Cyno as much time as possible as an active Matra when Diluc turns 18 (I wanted to prove to my friend why Diluc would beat Cyno in a fight) (I'll put wiggle room behind events)
Cyno starts studying at Spantamad when Diluc is 14 (D14)
Lisa starts her studies 2 years laster (D16)
Cyno graduates and becomes a Matra the year after (D17)
Lisa graduates the next year (D18)
Tighnari Starts his studies (D19)
Cyno becomes the General Mahamatra somewhere between D20 and D22,
Tighnari graduates and becomes a forest watchers at D21
This entire construct in relation can be pushed back 1 year
Cynos studies can be pushed back 1 year (everything else can stay)
Or 2 years (rest of timeline moves one year back because Cyno->Lisa->Tighnari) (Cyno can't have started at the same time as Lisa, who was not at the Akademiya when Tighnari started)
Tumblr media
Cyno's Promotion time is pure and utter guessing game, couldn't find anything on it, so I just picked something I liked and it's there now.
Al Haitham and Kaveh are not on here because there is no possible point of reverence for either yet (although one could say that Kaveh consulted Tighnari for the flora around the palace of Alcazarzaray and has probably done so while they were in the Akademiya, so must have build that thing in the given three year period and... Yeah... That's like, not good enough, at all (especially because it's unclear to me whether he built it before or after graduation/it being his graduation work) and Kaveh is the only reference for Al Haitham (being a senior -> having started at least a years earlier))

genshin ask meme: dainslef, support, archon, spiral abyss and dendro!!! @lsiteune
hello! ooo these are a lot of fun thank you for asking me !
dainslef: what theory do you have about the lore and the archon’s involvement with the destruction of khaenri'ah? I have a lot of theories about the lore in general and some i posted on tumblr but when it comes to archons and khaenri'ah specifically - I think khaenri'ah refused the new world and was closer to the primordial one than people think - so celestia saw them as the enemy in that way. And I also think that Khaenri'ah itself also falls under the same curse as the people of it do. Meaning - somehow they couldn't destroy it completely but they could transport fragments of that destroyed architecture and etc to other nations so u have liyue's chasm, inazuma's odd natural forces, mindstadt's dragonspine and specific temples, enkanomiya's parts and etc.
support: who is/are your favorite and least favorite character(s)? When it comes to men all blue genshin men are my favorites but Kaeya always stands out. From girls - Yanfei! And Faruzan now too! Least favorite character: hmmm... Eula probably
archon: which nation’s known ‘ideal’ do you like the most: freedom, contracts, eternity, wisdom, justice, or war? Since we still do not know how they are going to spin the justice or war ideals - sometimes I think they will make a point of war is justice or something in a vv odd way - I have to say freedom or wisdom.
spiral abyss: what’s your favorite part of genshin: puzzles, exploration, domains, building characters, or lore? Definitely the lore. I have stayed awake countless nights trying to connect two strings or trying to dream of answers to the questions - I feel like genshin is popular because of the lore and it always is the biggest priority.
dendro: what do you wish mihoyo would implement into the game? I think they should have small games for new players where they could get character materials they need from nations they have not unlocked yet. Cus imagine you just joined, pulled for Wanderer and you need to zoom SO MUCH content just to get him to lvl. 40.

I’m so happy you got Cyno! I want to go for him but I just don’t think I have enough primogems, that and I’m saving up for a character that might not even be playable in the end. 😅
I ran through Sumeru once for the treasure hunting event and it was soooo pretty but it was also such a maze. Thank god they added those hooks you can swing from because I would’ve given up trying to climb all the trees and cliffs. When I went through it there were so many dendroculi, like I’d move five feet and then 5 more would appear on my map.
Out of all my bow users I like playing Gorou the most but he’s level capped right now because I haven’t unlocked Inazuma yet and his ascension materials are from there. The only other bow user I liked playing was Tartaglia during his story quest. So if I go for a bow user it’ll probably be him, that and I want his lore. Other than that though, I think I mainly use polearm the most, or rather Zhongli has become my main. He’s definitely the most spoiled. I even made the Feiyun study room specifically for him even though I didn’t have him at the time.
I feel you and the other anon when it comes to interacting with other genshin players. I joined two genshin subreddits but I’ve been too shy to interact in them. I also have no idea what I’m doing, especially when it comes to artifacts. The characters that I have who have any semblance of a good build are probably Zhongli and Kaeya.
I honestly got lucky I got Cyno relatively early, I think it was my 75th wish??? Usually I'd be banking on a hard pity at 90 lol. In theory, I should start saving now too for whenever Ayato or Xiao get a banner... and I can't tell which one I want more... Ayato because he's broken good or Xiao because I'm simping just a teeeny tiny bit qwq Or maybe...
Tumblr media
I still need to explore Sumeru a bit more, I didn't spend nearly as much time in Sumeru as I did in Liyue, though the quest lines did drag me to through Liyue wheather I wanted or nah, so there's that! BUT, I did have that with Geoculi a lot. No matter where I went, there were PLENTY, pretty sure that's where I got most of my stamina at this point lol.
None of my bow users are fun :( So yeah they're really just there for hunting birbs. I don't know what it was, maybe just my inexperience in the first week or so, but I couldn't handle Zhongli at all during his play test, pretty sure I got him nearly killed. Gotta be the inexperience because Cyno and his polearm feel so easy to use?? And he's lowkey gonna be my new main, he's now Level 55, and the next round of ascension materials are a pain in the ass. These god damn Scarabs are so damn scarce and even with the Interactive map it's... not great, to say the least..
Honestly, when it comes to games I always feel a little... shy? to Join communities? There's some weird insecurity because as you said, I too have no idea what I'm doing, and I'm spooked of toxic player bases. Which in theory I shouldn't be because at some point no one had a clue what they were doing so it's not that weird? I like to think my Kaeya is built half decently, or as decent as it gets with the artifacts I have but, I feel like that's just wishful thinking LOL. I'm trying to pay a little more attention to Cyno's build now but I have really poor impulse control so as soon as I get something with like Atk. +5.2% my brain just goes "YEAH LETS LEVEL THIS TO ATK 25%" :') BUT I really am trying to now look at some electro damage bonus stuff which i guess means grinding regisvines... which I have found out, is no longer fun now that I'm World Level 4...

Part ten? Part ten. Oh gosh, part ten already.
I have no clue what I'm doing with this story at this point but it's gonna go somewhere, again, this story has a life of its own.
ALSO I GET TO DO SOME [NAME] ABILITY BUILDING! FUCK YEAH!
Masterlist
(I've given up on adding a link to every chapter.)
○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○
It was around four am when [Name] slowly woke up from their slumber.
They opened their eyes to find Aether holding them, his face buried into their neck and arms wrapped around their waist, which caused [Name] to make a sound of annoyance as they struggled to free themselves from his annoyingly strong grasp.
It took about five minutes for them to free themselves without waking the Traveler but upon looking out the window and seeing the stars in the sky, they decided it was worth it.
Slipping back on their shoes that they didn't quite remember taking off and grabbing their bag, they opened their door to step into the hallway.
They walked down the echoey corridors, exiting the same way they had entered hours earlier and being very gentle with the annoyingly large doors.
Dispite the late hours, Mondstadt was not fully asleep yet. Sounds could be heard from taverns and alleyways, and [Name] could have sworn the air of Mondstadt carried every word to them.
[Name] didn't exactly consider themselves the most intelligent person so when their mind presented the idea of leaving Mondstadt and returning that afternoon, their pride had no chance of stopping them, however they did recognize they wouldn't make it through the front gate. They could go out the side gate though.
Walking through Mondstadt at night was beautiful, gentle yellow lights illuminated the stone below their shoes and provided them something to see by, even as they turned into a more dimly lit part of town.

The clouds that had covered the sky had vanished now, the moon shining brightly and providing any light the street lamps could not.
As they reached the side gate, they grinned upon finding it empty and hoisted their backpack higher on their shoulders and approached it quickly, at least until a burst of flame in front of them caused them to fall backwards in surprise.
"What the fuckims?!" Again, awful last words.
Footsteps from behind them stole their attention and they turned to see Diluc quickly make his approach, annoyance written on his face as he spoke.
"State your name and business for being out so late at night."
[Name] vaguely contemplated being as snarky as usual but one glance towards his claymore changed their mind as they scrambled to their feet.
"[Name], [Name] [Last Name]. Here to… I don't know, go for a fuckin walk? Didn't really have a goal when I left my room…" they trailed off, realizing how suspicious they probably looked.
"I've never heard of you before, and there's no good reason for a walk this late at night."
[Name] shrugged. "Ask your bro-... Ask Kaeya, he's met me, and you can check my bag or something, I'm just going for a normal walk, don't even have a vision to threaten you with." Terrible save [Name]. Terrible save. Well, at least he's treating them like a human being.
Diluc looked them up and down slowly before holding out his hand "The bag?" He asked before muttering to himself quiet enough that [Name] wasn't sure they were normally able to hear it "Definitely doesn't look like a threat… definitely doesn't wield a weapon."
They were tempted to try to bash his head in for that comment but doubted they would live long enough to do that if they tried as they handed their bag over.
Diluc was through in his investigation, [Name] would give it to him, however when it involved going through their things, they weren't super happy with this development.
The first thing he pulled out was the pasta dish which [Name] had genuinely forgotten about but hoped was still edible.
He looked at it and its tupperware container oddly but put it on the ground beside him, then pulling out a pocket knife that made [Name]'s eyes bulge.
It was a normal pocket knife that they carried around, what made them stare was the fact it now sparkled like an obtainable item in game, well, it was a dream they told themselves, anything was possible. A stinging feeling from where they fell backwards caught their attention but they shook it off, this was just a dream, a very vivid one.
The third thing he pulled out was a change of clothes, black jeans and a white undershirt with a black and white flannel to wear overtop. Diluc gave them a look that made [Name] wonder if he was judging their fashion sense or lack there of in their chess like outfit.
Fourth was the item that caused him to step in his tracks, a simple hardback book with the cover, a boy in an orange shirt, he stood staring up at stormy skies above the empire state building, likely an unknown building but that wasn't reason for him to stop like that, until [Name] realized he likely didn't recognize the writing… this was going to be bad.
Unknown to them however, Diluc did recognize it, too well in fact. Everytime The Guide would control his body like a puppet on a string, increasing his speed and strength exceptionally, he'd see writing in front of his eyes, writing like this.
He'd been there for upwards of an hour before, staring at the unknown words in front of him because he couldnt do anything else, but he'd never complain. How could he complain? The Guide was the best protector Mondstadt, hell, Teyvat as a whole could hope for. Someone he could see as a role model, even though he didn't know them personally.
Here he was, the middle of the night in Mondstadt, staring at a stranger who only awkwardly smiled at him as he went through their things, the cold of the night completely undetected as he stared into the eyes of someone who had a book with the same writing that The Guide used.
Diluc stood with the book in hand "Where did you get this?" And [Name] shrugged.
"Can't remember, been a few years now but knowing me? 2nd and Charles free bin. Best find of my life, I've read that series from beginning to end like thirty times, you know, Nico really gets to me every tim-" their ramble was cut off by a glare so they shortened it down to something he might actually understand. "Not from this world."
Diluc paused, staring at them. He stayed that way for a while as he tried to process what that meant. A stranger, an unknown traveler shows up whose very presence clears away the biting cold air of Mondstadt late at night this time of year, with writing only The Guide has ever been able to understand and claims they've read this story multiple times.
[Name] took that as a chance to put their stuff back in their bag and was tempted to snatch the book out of his hands.
"Do I get my book back? I'm no lighting quick thief myself so if I could just…" they slowly began lifting the book out of his grasp but Diluc came to his sense, ripping the book away from them and backing them up against a nearby wall, [Name] resisted the urge to make a snide commentary about how this scene could be misinterpreted.
He held the book near their face. "Where the hell did you come from?"
Now, professionalism was not [Name]'s strong suit, so they cannot be held responsible for what they did next, smug smirk included.
"Well, when a mommy and a daddy love each other very much, they do a little dance and that's where babies come from."
A smirk grew on [Name]'s face as they continued with their godforsaken explanation, at least until a flare of heat from Diluc's vision reminded them that even though this was a dream, for some reason they still felt pain so it was not wise to mock the guy who could turn them into the most delicious grilled meat skewer you've ever tasted, with enough natural salt to cause dehydration.
"Um, Earth? I came from earth."
Diluc pulled back, staring at them in confusion and placed the book in their hands. "I have several questions for you, I'd like you to come with me."
[Name] resisted the desire to slap anybody who tried to pull them around right now and instead touched his shoulder, lacing their words with as much venom as they could and hoping he'd follow through "And I'd like you to walk back to the winery and stop acting like such a bitch. Such a shame only one of us can be made happy."
See, [Name] made that comment because they were tired of being pulled around. What they did not expect was for Diluc's shoulders to loosen and for him to turn around and begin to walk the other way, back towards the main gate.
Diluc wasn't expecting his entire body to once again be filled with the warmth and comfort of The Guide's commands, much like when he or others were set out on expeditions. Not lovingly guided but controlled, the will to fight back stripped away, only capable of following through on their orders.
He then realized with a start, he was following that strangers orders… no, not a stranger, his god.
[Name] simply watched in quiet confusion. Hey, they figured, this being aware that it's a dream thing really is working out.
They gathered their items back into their bag and zipped it up once more, stepping out the side gate as the sun began to make itself known.

Part 11
Well! I have no clue what this became but muahahaha, I get to eventually explore [Name]'s abilities more.
No clue when the next chapter will come out but I've made it over a week straight of posting so please forgive me.

There was something serene about Mondstat at this time of day. How the burnt oranges and the vibrant pinks swirled above, painting a heavenly picture of the evening sky. The chatter quietened, the breeze softened and the crowds from the earlier afternoon bustle dissipated. The world was preparing for another calm, spring night. And yet you were restless. Your fingers tapped against the wall you were leaning on, foot following the pattern. Impatience was radiating off of you in waves, your behaviour anything but calm - a harsh juxtaposition to the peaceful atmosphere of the city.
“Where is he?” You wondered aloud, glancing back up at the large building in front of you for the fifth time in the last ten minutes. You were tempted to go in there yourself with how long your friend was taking. This was the first time in nearly a month the two of you were free at the same time, your work keeping you away from your homeland and Kaeya’s doing the same. Now you two were finally here at the same time and he’s late. And he was never late. Not to go to the tavern, of all places. Why was he taking so long? All you wanted was a few drinks after a long month of relentless work, was that too much to ask? You huffed, annoyance clouding your judgement as you ascended the stairs to the headquarters. Kaeya could whine at you later for rushing him, you wanted a drink and you wanted one now. And of course, you had missed him... Seeing him again, it was the only reason you were here. The drinks were just a plus.
After a brief walk upstairs to his office, you arrived right outside the captain's office. Your hand hovered over his doorknob, but you halted in your actions when you heard a muffled voice behind the door. Two voices- Three? You pressed your ear to the door curiously, trying to make out the distorted words. You heard laughter, one distinct silky voice mixed in with the joyous atmosphere. Then, you heard the man you had been waiting for speak.
“I love you.”
Your hand on the handle slipped off of the cold metal, falling limply to your side.
“I don’t just love you. I’m in love with you. I love you so much it’s painful for us to be apart. I know it’s sudden, and I know it’s been weeks since we’ve even seen each other. But I love you. I love you so much.”
It hurt more than it should’ve. A vicious stab to your fragile heart that was recovering from the separation you had to endure while you were away. Your relationship with the navy haired man was complicated, to say the least. Those heated stares, those lingering touches… That look in his eyes when you caught his gaze. It was your own fault, really. How could you ever capture the heart of Kaeya Alberich? Everyone in Mondstat was after him. And now, all you were was defeated competition. You hadn’t even realised you were crying until you walked away. Suddenly, you weren’t in the mood to go to the tavern anymore.
“Well, that’ll certainly get your intentions across.” The chief alchemist hummed, a flirty chuckle coming from the next member of Kaeya’s makeshift audience.
“That was adorable, cutie. I think they’ll be over the moon with that.”
“Yes, that was indeed an adequate confession.” A blue haired female nodded, hand under her chin as she agreed. Words of affirmation echoed around the room, agreeing in unison.
Now that he had the approval of his comrades, there were no excuses anymore. He was going to confess to you tonight. He had missed you more than he’d like to admit - the countless unsent letters piling up hidden under his desk proved that. Sentences scribbled out, paragraphs with question marks inked in at the margins; even the suave matchmaker was at a loss to describe his feelings for you.
“Well I must be going now. Wouldn’t want to keep my future lover waiting now, would I?” The taller man chuckled to himself before opening the door, sending a wave over his shoulder at the supportive crowd he was leaving behind. He sighed to himself happily, sauntering down the staircase, too lost in his thoughts to even realise you weren’t there anymore. “Sorry I’m late, darling. I had some things to attend t-“ Only when he started speaking did he realise the only thing waiting for him was an empty space.
“Y/N?”
Perhaps you had just gone to the tavern without him. He was rather late, after all - almost an hour. He felt terrible for keeping you waiting that long, but he was sure you’d forgive him once he revealed why.
But one quick look in Angel’s Share made him come to the conclusion; you hadn’t stepped foot in there. Confused, your friend asked around to see if anyone had seen you. Some told him they had seen you waiting outside of the headquarters, while others said they saw you walking away. When he got to the final person, he realised something was very wrong.
You heard the frantic knocking, the panicked voice calling your name outside of your door, and yet you couldn’t bring yourself to move. Since you had gotten home, you had curled up under a large, heavy blanket and tried your best to sleep it off. You thought your feelings were selfish, to fall for someone so charming as he. You pitied yourself, too. Compared to him, what were you? Another quiet, weak groan left your throat as you shifted in your bed. He’d go away eventually…
“Y/N.”
He’d go away…
“Hey.”
Please go away…
A startled gasp forced its way out of your lips when you felt the biting cold hit you when your blanket was torn off your body. Your head raised, and your eyes met with the last person you wanted to see.
“How did you-“
“I know where you keep your spare key.” He states as he lets go of the blanket he had just yanked off you, seating himself on the corner of your bed. “A little birdie told me you were upset. Care to explain?” Kaeya’s finger brushes against the damp cheek, and you sniffle quietly. You couldn’t bring yourself to move away from his touch, even if it burned.
“It's nothing, Kaeya… Just go to the tavern without me.”
“Darling, the only reason I was going there today was because you were coming with me. There’s no point without you.”
Something inside of you snapped. The patience you had been clinging onto was in tatters now, and in its place was bitterness.
“Go with your new partner, Alberich. They’d be better company.”
Your friend was taken back, hand freezing on your cheek, halting in the soothing movement of stroking your cheek. “Excuse me?”
“You heard me. Just get lost, Kaeya.” Finally, you pulled away from him and turned on your side. But he wasn’t going to take that. He turned you around by your shoulder, his large hand holding you in place. “Y/N, what are you talking about? What partner?”
Why did it feel like you couldn’t breathe when he looked at you like that? Those cold eyes that were so warm when they gazed upon your face. “Please don’t…”
“Don’t what? What’s the matter?”
“I heard you…” You heaved a ragged breath, eyes tearing away from his own. Against your wishes, your eyes began to gloss over with fresh tears. “Heard you… In your office… Heard what you said…” The words felt like glass, slicing your throat mercilessly and causing you to choke. Your arm shakily covered your eyes so he didn’t see how you fell apart underneath him over something so selfish. You should’ve been happy for him. He finally had someone to love, someone to cherish - why couldn’t you have just ignored your own feelings when they didn’t matter here? You felt your arm gently being pried away from your face, and what you saw made you heave another sob. The concern shining in Kaeya’s eyes, his eyebrows furrowed and lips curled downwards. Just your distress alone was making his chest tighten, heart twisting painfully.
“What did you hear, Y/N?” His voice was soft, much like the blanket that had been enveloping your body just moments before.
“You loved someone…” And that someone isn’t me
His expression softened, the corner of his lips turning up into a saddened smile. You thought he would apologise, let you down gently. What you didn’t expect was to be pulled to sit up, being held against his warm, firm chest.
“Oh, sweetheart…” He began, fingers carding through your hair gently. “You weren’t supposed to hear that… At least, not like that.” Confused, your head raised slowly, the tips of your noses brushing against each other briefly. “It’s you I’m in love with. I was- heh… Practising.” You blinked, shocked. He continued. “Those words were meant for you later tonight. But I suppose you and I were always on the unorthodox side, weren’t we?” A shaky exhale slipped through your lips, trembling lips forming a small smile.
“I love you… So, please…” He leaned forward, forehead touching your own.
“Don’t cry…”

KAEYA - MAFIA HEADCANONS
Tumblr media
WARNING: NSFW, slightly dub con?
PAIRING: KAEYA X FEM READER
Tumblr media
Your week didn’t start very well. Heck, it was an absolute disaster. A total shit of a show, like a scene taken out of some cheap soap opera, and you still cannot believe that it happened to you.
You were about to pop into the bank, withdraw some money, have an idle chit-chat with your favourite financial advisor while sipping on your morning coffee. But then, the whole thing evolved into people screaming in fear, masked burglars breaking into the building, bone-chilling sounds of cocked guns ready to fire. You thought you were done for. Your whole life was about to end because of one very unlucky decision to visit the bank on a Monday morning.
The air turned black all around you.
„That’s fucking it.”
You mumbled to yourself, eyeing the thief who was closing the distance between you and him in a very rushed manner. Lips trembling, fat tears rolling down your cheeks. At least, you would leave this world looking all fly. The salary of a lawyer stuffed your pockets full enough to be walking confidently in your Christian Louboutin red heels.
„That’s her. Seize her!”
You heard one of them yelling, and the steroids-fed muscle pig in front of you all but leapt at you. The hell. You wouldn’t let them get you so easily, no. With your last working brain cells, the remaining ones still not paralysed with sheer terror, you splashed the hot coffee all over the beefy blockhead. Ha! Must have hurt a lot judging from how he took a few steps back, which allowed you to kick him right in his balls. With the aforementioned designer shoes. The quote about fashion being the armour to survive the reality of everyday life suddenly made much more sense to you.
The struggle was all futile, though. Icy fingers gripped your arms from behind and immobilised your thrashing body. You were escorted out, all the while biting and kicking, attempting to free yourself from the thug’s death grip.
No, but seriously, the best part of it all?
Turned out the bad guys didn’t want to kill you at all. Better yet, they had no intention of harming even a single hair on your head.
„The boss said to take her home. No funny business boys. Be gentle with our beautiful guest. Unless you all want to have your nuts cut off. Kaeya was not in the mood for playing.”
„Kaeya?”
You shrieked, being hauled into the back seat of an expensive car. Your Kaeya? Your ex-boyfriend Kaeya, who left you without a word once you graduated from high school? The same Kaeya who broke your heart so badly despite claiming that he loved you?
What the fuck was actually going on?
Tumblr media
„Don’t panic, just stay fucking calm, d-dammit.”
The elevator ticks. It is the very last floor of this city’s most luxurious skyscraper, a penthouse apartment occupied by none other than a member of a mobster gang, aka your high-school sweetheart Kaeya. How fucking nice.
It’s time to confront him. It took you a good few days to gather up enough courage to reach that conclusion. The first night after the bank robbery, you could barely sleep a wink, trying to digest what had happened that day.
On a Tuesday morning, you were woken up by some shady men, dressed in all black. It didn’t surprise you at that point. It seemed like your ability to adapt to shitty situations like these was better than you had anticipated. ”An apology from the boss,” - that’s what you were told when an enormous in size bouquet was pushed into your hands. A cutely wrapped box, with a ribbon on top, and an envelope with a letter inside. You slammed the door in their faces, and with your whole body trembling, you tore the envelope to get to the note inside.
 I miss you, Baby.
Fuck, you were so angry. So, so angry. You cast the flowers on the floor together with the letter. It flipped over, and on the backside, you noticed some numbers. A telephone number? That bastard. He expects you to get in touch with him? How fucking rude. When you opened the little box, your heart almost jumped out of your chest. He got you a necklace. Pretty fucking expensive, if you were to judge by the looks of it. You wanted to throw all of that away, flush the letter in the toilet and proceed with your life without a hitch. Unbothered and indifferent.
But, you just couldn’t.
So here you are, about to vacate that lift and step into the lion’s den.
The humble abode of Kaeya - the mobster. The hottest man your eyes have ever seen, and the only one you have ever loved.
This hall is huge. Fuck, everything looks as if Kaeya was shitting money out like an ATM. Spacious and elegant. Simple, yet sophisticated. He has always had a knack for these things. Unmatched fashion sense, exquisite taste in everything. For some reason, you start feeling jealous. You look around, processing the surroundings, trying to spot any details that would remind you of the man you thought you knew so well.
„I’m right here, Princess.”
Your stomach sinks. His voice, that silky smooth tone coming from right behind you, makes your heart stop and skin prickle in excitement. You turn to face him a little too abruptly, your head gets dizzy, and for a second, it feels as if you were about to faint. But then you meet his eyes, squinting from how much he is smiling at you right now, making him look ridiculously handsome. He is wearing a silky shirt of indigo colour that matches his eyes so nicely. A few buttons undone, revealing that sculpted chest, inviting you to look at the chocolate brown skin. Kaeya’s warm smile turns into a sly smirk when he inches closer to you with unhurried and graceful steps. His cologne stuns your senses, heavy but sweet, intense enough to amplify your dizziness, but so alluring it leaves you weak in your knees.
„I’m here to return this.”
You push the box with the necklace towards him. He chuckles lightly, amused by the way you quickly retract your hands when his cold fingers brush over yours in the process. The brief contact seems charged with little sparks that leave you feeling hot and bothered.
„Also, don’t call me that.”
You demand while the hot sensation slowly rises to your cheeks, painting them a deep red shade. So humiliating. Kaeya’s watchful eyes pick up on your embarrassment, crinkling in the corners when he tilts his head to have a better look at your burning face.
„Is it not to your liking, Princess?”
Kaeya’s expression becomes sad as if he was wounded by your words.
„I remember you liked being spoiled with gifts and... sweet words of praise. Didn’t you? You adored when I called you my little Prin-,”
„Shut up, Kaeya. I’m here to tell you to leave me the fuck alone. You can shove it up your ass, for all I care. Just stay away from me. I don’t want to be involved in any of your shady activities.”
He almost bursts out laughing at that. You see the way he has to bite on his lip to keep it all in. Fucking asshole. You want to punch him so badly now your fingers curl up into a fist.
„Now, now, all good, Princess. No need to be so vulgar, although I did love and still find it very..., pleasing when you show these little claws of yours.”
He walks past you to discard the box somewhere on the kitchen counter.
„My men had quite a rough time with you. I have to admit it gave me a good laugh. Thank you for that.”
The hall leads to a lofty lounge area with an open kitchen design and floor-to-ceiling windows. Kaeya's face is illuminated by the rays of the setting sun. He reaches for the cabinet to fetch two champagne glasses. Wait a minute. What is this thing covering his eye?
„Kaeya, what the fuck happened to you?”
Without much thinking, you chase after him and tug at his sleeve to make him face you again. There is a black eye patch hidden underneath the shiny strands of his thick hair. It hits you like a truck, this tightness in your chest that renders you speechless. Kaeya appears to be taken aback by your behaviour. He does know what you are referring to, it just didn’t occur to him you would be so upset by it. He was caught off guard, but only for a fleeting moment. Like a trained actor - he puts on the show again, hiding everything behind that foxy smirk.
„Oh, why? Is my pretty girl worried?”
The blue-haired beauty squirms out of your grasp, turning on his heel to take out a bottle of champagne from the fridge. He is so nonchalant about this whole thing, ignoring the anxious frown on your face. He pours the champagne without spilling a single drop of the beverage and offers you a glass.
„Don’t fuck with me, Kaeya. I’m being serious.”
The champagne fizzes in his hold. Kaeya quirks an eyebrow, impressed by your choice of words. He dawns the liquid in one go and puts it away on the counter together with yours.
„How I wish that was the case, Baby.”
You huff out in annoyance.
„Fucking idiot.”
He hasn’t changed one bit. If anything, he is even worse. Full of secrets and unspoken feelings. Fine, so be it. That’s none of your business, after all.
„Suit yourself. I’m out.”
You are ready to let go, leave him alone in that luxurious apartment to live his life the way he sees fit, preferably far away from you. You take a step away, giving him that one last look.
And then, his lips are on yours.
„K-kaeya!”
Your protest dies on his lips that eagerly latch onto yours with such passion, such hunger that it steals your breath away. You struggle against him, fisting his shirt as you attempt to push him away, but his whole body presses you against the counter. He moulds your lips so perfectly together, sliding his tongue against yours as if you were always meant to be in his arms. He deepens the kiss, yanking your hair to have better access to your sweet mouth that you are so desperately trying to deny him. He won’t have it. Like in a trance, oblivious to your vulnerable whimpers, ignorant of the way your small body tries to fight him, Kaeya kisses you endlessly, bruising your lips to the point they get swollen and tender. He urges himself between your thighs, and then you feel his rock-hard dick humping against your clothed core. He makes a move to lift your thigh, and that’s the moment when he loosens his grip. Panting and trembling, you kick him right into his crotch. Kaeya groans, falling back in pain. That’s it. Take it, you bastard. You turn around, ready to flee, but then you notice the untouched glass of champagne. Is it going to work for the second time? It did with the coffee and the overgrown thug.
Splash.
The beverage trickles down Kaeya’s face, down to his torso. His eyes widen, staggered by your courage. But then, he starts laughing. This type of laughter which freezes you in place.
„I’ll make you lick it off me, Princess.”
And he grins again as if he was already imagining the sight in his head. The champagne wets his chest and his nipples perk through the thin fabric.
„I see you developed a liking to kicking men in their groins. I have to say I didn’t see it coming. I remember you being much more docile, especially with me.”
Kaeya’s unusually harsher voice cuts through your indecent thoughts. Now it is most assuredly not the time to be caught staring at his body. No matter how fucking hot he is.
„Makes you just as dumb as your brainless boys.”
You rush out the words heedlessly. Kaeya’s smirk disappears and his mouth sets in a grim line. Yikes.
„Gotta go. It was nice to see you.”
„You think I’m just gonna let you leave?”
Kaeya’s muscles tense as his eyes become narrower. You definitely cannot stick around any longer. He makes a sudden move, and you flinch. He leaps at you like an animal chasing its prey, and your body goes into fight-or-flight mode. Blood pumps against your temples when you grab the nearby vase and smash it on the floor while running towards the hall. He almost trips and you hear him cursing in anger but you have no time to look behind you. You get into the lift and push the ground floor button like a maniac.
The doors close basically in front of Kaeya’s furious with rage face.
Sheesh.
That was a close call.
Tumblr media
A few days pass uneventfully, not counting the delivery man arriving practically every day at your doorstep with another bouquet or expensive gift from Kaeya. He even dares to send these together with more „love letters” attached. You don’t even bother reading them anymore. You just let them pile on your office desk. Lots of unanswered calls, text messages with „good morning, Princess,” or other cheesy pick-up lines that you delete immediately after receiving them.
Kaeya is a stubborn motherfucker.
You shake your head in disbelief when you spot him casually leaning against his expensive car in front of the courthouse. White slacks and a black shirt, of course, unbuttoned so that everyone can see that ridiculously shredded body. You know he smells as good as he looks without getting close. He waves at you, and his face lights up instantly as he straightens up to greet you properly. You roll your eyes repeatedly before you finally conclude that it might be better to approach him rather than ignore him here.
„You really are just a dumb fuck. Showing up in front of the courthouse, out of all the possible places?”
You don’t understand why he is staring at you like that, all smiley and happy like a child handed a dessert.
„I have tried to call you numerous times, Baby. Each time I hit the voice mail. So, you gave me no choice. How else would you know that I’m taking you out for lunch today, huh?”
Kaeya winks as he lifts his long fingers to tuck the hair dancing on the wind behind your ear. The fingertips slide all over your earlobe, and then he lets them wander to your neck. You can say that yes he is fucking perfect and always has been, but he is not the only stubborn one here.
„If you want to get yourself a nice room with bars on the windows, then I can help you with that.”
You snatch his hand away, giving him a cold look despite your knees feeling all weak. His intense presence has already started taking effect on you.
Kaeya cackles.
„We both know these are empty threats, Princess.”
He shifts closer, dropping his gaze to your lips.
„You would not want me to cause a scene right in front of your stuck-up colleagues. I don’t think they would fancy the thought of you fucking with a criminal.”
Your heartbeat shoots up to marathon level. Deep down, you know he would be ready to ruin your career even if it meant going down with you. Your resolution wavers. Because of his height, you have to jut your chin up to be able to look into his eyes.
„We are not fucking, Kaeya.”
„Oh, Baby.”
He calls, seductively licking his lips.
„Common, I made a reservation. Our table is waiting.”
He sneaks his hand to your waist, and your body stiffens. He then takes a step back to open the front door of the car for you.
„Don’t make me more hungry than I already am.”
He drops the pleasant smile and presses his calloused fingers harder to your soft flesh, letting you know that perhaps it wasn’t the food he was referring to.
Tumblr media
The lunch dates become a part of the routine, and you find yourself looking forward to seeing this picture-perfect guy every noon when you head out for the break. Dashing, smiling and coquettish. So damn funny. He is always there, easily fitting himself into your busy schedule. You hate it as much you enjoy it, but you can’t force yourself to tell him to fuck off. Well, you did, but it is not like he listened anyway. „You are irresistible when you get so angry with me like that,” he would laugh the matter off, and sneak his palms to your hips before guiding you to his car.
Time flies by, and eventually, he convinced you to visit him in his penthouse for a romantic dinner by candlelight. He promised to cook on his own, and most importantly, keep his hands to himself. That was the deal-breaker. It was still kind of unfair that you had no choice but to agree when Kaeya strolled into the law office you work at, pretending to be the client that was desperate to see you despite not having made a prior appointment. The secretary fell prey to this special something that makes everyone head over heels with the blue-haired man, and voilà there he was, sitting on the other side of your desk, pleading with his eyes turning puppy.
So, the entire afternoon you have been feeling nauseous with fear or excitement, hard to tell, but for some reason, you can’t settle on the dress you want to put on tonight or the shoes that would go with it. He said he would pick you up at 8 and take you to his place. Hours of preparation and self-encouraging talk, and you think you are ready to confront him. The clock strikes 8.
You are pacing around the room in your body-hugging dress, fingers anxiously pulling on the hem as the fabric rides up your thighs a bit too much. Seconds turn into minutes, your heels keep clicking against the wooden floor of your apartment, and then it suddenly becomes apparent.
You stop in the middle of the room.
„That mother-fucker stood me out.”
You utter to yourself, clearly not in the right frame of mind.
The dress ends up in the depths of your wardrobe as you change into your pyjamas and get all tipsy with some cheap wine, currently almost empty and forgotten on the nightstand.
You are dizzy and barely conscious when the doorbell wakes you up at around midnight. Tripping over your feet, you trudge in the darkness only to see Kaeya through the peephole in the door.
The door flies open and slams against the wall due to how much you pull at the handle. You think you see his eyes flick to your clenched fist, but he composes himself almost immediately. That smile again.
„Hey, Baby. Brought us some ice cream. Can I come in?”
„Are you fucking high, Kaeya?”
There is a box in his hands, and he lifts it to maybe prove his words? Ridiculous.
„It’s your favourite flavour. Very creamy vanilla. The same brand you always take with your iced coffee.”
You scoff at his words, ready to shut the door again and forget about him once and for all.
Nothing like that happens, though, as your eyes spot a blotch of red on his shirt. You scrunch your face unknowingly.
„Look, I know I screwed up, b-,”
„Kaeya, is that blood?”
The urgency in your tone leaves you both stalling for a good while. Him probably trying to come up with another shitty lie, and you realising why he didn’t show up on time.
„I swear, you’re so annoying. Get inside.”
You say that doing your best to overcome the uneasiness in your stomach. Just how badly is he wounded? What did he get himself into? Does it happen frequently? Thoughts spiral in your head as you tug at his sleeve and pull him towards the kitchen stool. Amazingly, Kaeya shows no resistance. You yank the box with ice cream from his practically frozen by now hands and hurriedly put it into the freezer. He keeps watching you with studious eyes as you walk up to him and begin to undo his shirt.
„Had I known it would be so easy, I would have let myself get stabbed much earlier.”
You frown at his idiotic remark, hands come into contact with his naked chest.
„You think you’re being funny, Kaeya? You are fucking bleeding on my kitchen stool.”
Kaeya’s chest rises when he openly takes in your scent, visibly affected by the way your fingers brush over his torso when you examine the wound on the side of his abdomen. There is some make-shift dressing that covers up the cut. You need to disinfect the wound and prepare fresh bandages as blood has started seeping through them. You look up to glare at him again.
„Fine, next time I’ll make sure not to do business on the day of our date.”
Your nails dig into his chest, and he shivers despite his best attempts not to.
„You call it doing business?”
You practically hiss at him.
„It’s barely a scratch. Relax.”
Kaeya lowers his voice, pressing his hands comfortingly to your shoulders. They are still cold because of the ice cream he held before, and small goosebumps erupt all over your exposed skin. You shake your head in denial.
„I should have known there is nothing I could hide from you.”
He says jokingly, but it somehow makes your blood boil even more.
„You did manage to cover up your criminal profession, so I would give myself more credit if I were you.”
The dimples in his cheeks disappear on cue. A crease forms itself between his brows. He opens his mouth to say something again, but you cut him off short.
„Just stay still and shut the hell up.”
You warn him with your unamused eyes and begin to work in silence. The injury is indeed not that bad. Looks like someone cut him with the knife, but it is also not too deep. You are guessing he was in a hurry and didn’t patch himself up properly before coming to see you. So reckless. So typical of him.
Kaeya can’t take his eyes off of you when your small hands stroke his skin, delicately wipe the dried-up blood, almost tenderly skim all over the flesh, careful not to cause any unnecessary pain. Occasionally, his whole body tenses and then comes the hair-raising shiver, but he has long ceased fighting against it. He gasps audibly when you accidentally ghost over his nipple with your forearm. A blush creeps over your cheeks when you notice your mistake. You are aware of his eyes on you but choose to ignore it, somewhat grateful for the silence.
You are practically done and want to shift away from him, but then Kaeya moves his hand to the back of your head and applies pressure to bring your face closer to his. You lose balance, and as a result, your whole body crashes into his. Kaeya’s arms immediately wrap around your middle, squeezing on your hips. His startling blue eyes fix on yours as the tips of your noses brush against each other. You feel your heartbeat out of time when Kaeya puts his hand under your chin.
„I’m sorry.”
His voice drops an octave. Your eyes tangle, and you are trapped by that deep longing burning in the steel-blue orbs.
„You would have never dated me if I had admitted to being the son of a mobster. I really wanted to tell you the truth, but then you started working your ass off to get into the university, told me you wanted to become a lawyer. H-How could I, ugh, how could I ever stand in the way of that?”
You push yourself away from him, and Kaeya pauses, his breath caught in his chest, waiting for your response.
„So you left. Without a word. Not a fucking single word.”
„And I have regretted ever since.”
Kaeya rushes to interrupt the accusations forming in the back of your head. He inches towards you, bluntly grasping your trembling palms into his and lacing your fingers together.
„I know you don’t want to listen to any of it, but I will not give up until you are mine again.”
You snort, trying not to let the tears spill. He sure knows his way with words.
„Well, but guess what. I am a lawyer now, and you are still a mobster. So what has changed, Kaeya? How do you even imagine this to work out?”
He holds your hands in an unrelenting grasp.
„How about you become my personal lawyer, then?”
He smirks when your eyes turn furious, and before you can tell him how fucking stupid he is, Kaeya’s lips claim yours. Just as selfishly as the first time in his penthouse. However, so much more frantically when he presses himself to you, fists the strands of your hair, moans into the kiss when you allow him to slide his tongue against yours. You feel a surge of desire so strong that you tremble with it, weirdly clutching to his broad back. A shiver of delight dances down his spine when you pull at his long ponytail angrily.
„Get out. The date is over.”
You pant, head all dizzy, and Kaeya still holds onto you so that you don’t fall over. He doesn’t oppose. Just nods his head. But then, oh lord. He picks you up bridal style and barely stifles a laugh when you start cussing at him to put you down and squirming in his tight hold.
„Easy there, Kitten. You are going to break your claws.”
Kaeya takes you to your bedroom and carefully places you on the bed. Your heart hammers in your chest when he hovers over you for longer than necessary after he has tucked you in nicely.
He kisses your forehead.
„Goodnight, Princess.”
Tumblr media
Kaeya understands the concept of that cat and mouse chase. He understands it all and has accepted it to be his punishment for leaving you without a word of explanation a few years prior. He doesn’t mind, even finds it amusing sometimes. He hasn’t pressured you into anything, letting you dictate the flow of things, according to your own pace, fit to your needs.
Although things do get hard for him, and this is something Kaeya struggles with most. His dick. That never-ending boner whenever you come just a little bit too close to him, or when he tells some stupid ass joke, and you burst out laughing, even though you immediately try to cover it all up by hiding your mouth behind that tiny hand of yours. He then imagines it wrapped around his cock, pumping up and down his length. That pout on your cute face whenever you could not envelop your short fingers around his swollen girth. Kaeya remembers it clearly when you were kneeling in front of him, right after the basketball practice in high school. You would sneak into the changing room, lock the door behind you, and give him the best head in his entire life. Kaeya misses these times badly.
He might not be the most patient of men, but he knows he will soon reap the rewards of his hard work.
Or so he thought, until one of his boys, who is entrusted with the task of keeping an eye on you 24/7, informed him that you might have agreed on a date with one of your colleagues.
He almost spat the whisky on his face when the poor thug visibly shrank in size in Kaeya’s office.
„What the fuck?” What are you saying? She would never---,”
Kaeya yelled at him, grasping him by the collar of the white shirt. The poor guy broke out in cold sweat and started mumbling some apologies, but most of it was incoherent bullshit.
„When?”
Kaeya put himself together, albeit with difficulty. He let go of the guy and demanded more details.
Tumblr media
You hear a knock. Right on time. Some men do grasp the concept of time, it seems. Unhurriedly, you saunter towards the corridor to welcome your guest. Passing by, you catch the reflection of yourself in the mirror. ‘Not bad,’ you think, and with a beaming smile on your face, you pull the door open.
„K-Kaeya?”
You stutter as your fingers curl around the door handle.
„Oh well, did you expect someone else, Princess?”
The feeling of uneasiness spreads all over your being when he stares at you openly with that icy-cold smirk twisting his perfect features into something more sinister than usual. He moves forward, and you take a step back, further into your apartment. He slams the door behind him and turns to face you again.
„I-I was supposed to have a business meeting.”
Kaeya sneers, ogling you up and down with narrowed eyes.
„In that fucking dress?”
You know Kaeya’s limits very well, and this is exactly the moment when he seems to be way beyond them to think clearly. Shakily, you defend yourself as he seals the distance between the two of you.
„My colleague asked for help with his case, I---,”
„I will tie you down and make you cum so many times until you say sorry to me.”
Kaeya mutters through gritted teeth. The idea alone sends a wave of excitement down to your groin. You grip onto the chair in the kitchen, and the warm sensation only intensifies when he inches his face towards your ear.
„I’m done playing.”
Kaeya whispers. A fierce shudder makes you tremble when he flattens his tongue and licks your earlobe lewdly.
„I w-won’t let you.”
You protest weakly, hands grabbing onto his chest for support when one of Kaeya’s hands roughly squeezes your ass. A sharp intake of air. Kaeya pushes his face into the crook of your neck, inhaling your scent like a predator.
„That’s cute. I would like to see you try.”
He cups your face and squishes your cheeks, watching you through half-lowered eyelids.
„You’re already wet. I can sense it soaking your panties.”
„No.”
The single word comes out breathless. Your body melts against his like wax near the flame. He purrs, intoxicated with the idea of having finally won you over. He pushes his palm between your thighs and presses it to your core. You bite your lips bloody, but that pathetic whimper still manages to slip out of you. Kaeya moans back, exhilarated, drunk on the sensation of your sticky underwear clinging to his open palm.
„We need to work on your lying skills if you want me to hire you as my lawyer, Baby.”
Your gut clenches and, your cheeks burn furiously when he pushes you down to sit on the chair.
„Don’t budge.”
Kaeya wags his finger at you as if he was threatening a small girl. He rips his shirt open, sending the buttons flying. He walks behind you and uses the piece of clothing to tie you to the chair. Surprisingly so, he doesn’t make the knot too tight. If you really tried, then probably it wouldn’t be too hard to set yourself free. The problem is, you don’t want to do that.
He kisses your knuckles after having checked if the restraints don’t hurt your delicate hands too much.
„You’ll take your punishment like a good girl, won’t you?”
Kaeya teases before walking up to your desk. He starts rummaging through all the boxes and love letters you have accumulated since the bank robbery incident. Most of them are untouched, as you weren’t interested enough to check their content.
Kaeya clicks his tongue.
„That’s so rude. I hand-picked all of these.”
He keeps looking until he finds that one particular present that makes him satisfied for some reason. He comes back to you while shredding the wrapping paper to bits and pieces. There, he finally gets to open the box.
Kaeya crouches in front of you with his eyes locked on yours.
„A vibrator?”
Kaeya hears you asking in a vulnerable voice, and his chest swells in satisfaction when your breath becomes erratic. His erection swells painfully hard. You are sitting on that plastic designer chair, a see-through one. You will give him a nice show, and he will be there watching it all, with the best view he did not even dare to fantasize about in his wildest dreams.
„A remote-controlled one. I knew it would come in handy.”
He catches a glimpse of what must be panic that twinkles in your beautiful eyes when he hikes your dress up and digs his fingers into the meat of your thighs. That face you make now is just perfect, and Kaeya greedily yanks your panties down.
Embarrassed, you squeeze your thighs to prevent him from seeing your pussy pressed to that clear chair. Your body flushes, and face burns so badly in shame that you doubt you can look straight into his wolfish eyes.
„No, no, no. That won’t do, Princess.”
He places his hands on your knees and forces your thighs open.
„Don’t spoil all the fun. You don’t want me to tie your legs as well. I trust you can behave yourself, right?”
He circles your knees with the tip of his fingers, progressively going higher and higher. You suck in a breath and start to frantically shake your head when he inserts the vibrator into your wet hole. You are so tight Kaeya feels his dick twitch impatiently at the sheer thought of entering you later. You fist your hands, crying out his name when he pushes it all inside of you.
„Shhh, such a good girl.”
Kaeya praises when your eyes well up with fresh tears. It doesn’t hurt. It just feels so full and good. You can’t recall when was the last time you were so desperate to find your release. The temptation in your brain tells you to let go and please the man in front of you, kneeling and leaking precum into his trousers. His dick is deliciously erected, pressing against the zip.
„I want to see you gushing all over that chair for me, Baby.”
Kaeya keeps his words soothing and low, slowly pressing his thumb to your clit to help you relax and adjust to the presence of the vibrator stretching your walls open. Your thighs tremble slightly. Kaeya playfully nudges the vibrator in a little bit deeper each time he makes a full circle with his thumb on your rapidly swelling folds.
„Na-ahh---,”
Soft gasps fall from your lips, and Kaeya can barely stop himself from cumming at how cute and sexy all of these sounds are. He reaches out for the remote and turns on the vibrations without much of a warning. Nothing could prepare you for how good it actually feels, though.
„F-Fuck you, Kaeya!”
You yell at him, and a small sound jerks through the blue-haired beauty when he takes his cock out of his trousers.
„That’s it, Princess. Show me how much you enjoy it.”
Kaeya palms his dick, entranced by the way your folds become wet with slick right before his eyes. Involuntarily, your hips start moving up and down the chair as you try to get yourself off, all the time shuddering from the vibrations rippling through your whole pussy.
He brings his lips closer to yours and thrusts his tongue deep into your mouth, starts stroking your tongue with his, mimicking the act of sex.
„Mhmm-mh!”
He swallows your whimper and continues to tongue-fuck your mouth. It is so disgusting, but at the same time, you can’t stop your pussy from clenching around the vibrator when he groans obscenely while fisting his shaft. Kaeya shudders with you when he lowers his mouth to lick your nipple through the thin fabric of your dress.
Lightning spears through you. It feels so good as if your whole groin was on fire whenever he flicks the perky tip of your breast with his wet tongue. He does it over and over again, your body spasms, and you rub yourself all over the chair more violently when sparks of pleasure take your decency away.
He leaves your nipple with a loud pop, and some saliva trickles down your dress when Kaeya finally lets go of it.
„So fucking beautiful.”
He admires, forcing your thighs wide open again to see your folds being squished each time you rub yourself down on the furniture.
„I’ll make you cum, Baby.”
He promises and turns the vibrations up, effectively making you mewl and sob due to too much pleasure. You can’t even tell the beginning of your orgasm, but your pussy tightens even more, rhythmically squeezing the device as you shake and rotate your hips to feel more pressure on your clit. The tears spill down your cheeks as you can’t keep it in anymore.
Kaeya’s hands slide to your hips, and he helps you ride out your orgasm, pressing your folds to the sticky with your juices chair.
„No, no more!”
You beg, crying and fighting against the restraints. Kaeya swathes you with his arms as you shatter into thousand pieces, wave after wave of sweltering need surging through your tummy.
„I’d honestly be more than happy to continue playing with you like that...,”
Kaeya breathes out, his hands working on the knot behind your back.
„But, if I don’t get inside of you anytime soon-,”
The shirt lands on the floor, and you are free. Kaeya heaves your half-conscious self out of the chair, and this time he pushes you forward, forcing you to place your knees on the sticky seat, your ass high up in the air.
„I might fucking lose my mind.”
Kaeya brutally removes the vibrator out of your abused hole, eliciting yet another pathetic sob from you. He positions himself behind you, and the tip of his bulging cock teases your entrance, desperate for you, for your body. You can hardly stay still after that bone-shattering orgasm that caused your limbs to feel numb, but his protective hands are on you, making sure you keep that tight ass nice and steady for him to use.
„I can’t fucking wait to claim you as mine.”
With these sinful words dripping from his lips, Kaeya thrusts his cock in, making you wince in pain, but it is all temporary when he repositions slightly and begins sliding in and out, hitting your sweet spot time and time again. Pure pleasure washes all over you when he sneaks his fingers to your clit and begins rubbing it in unison with the precise jerks of his hips.
„You’re mine and only mine.”
He whispers on a loop.
„I’ll make love to you until you believe in it.”

it had only been a few months since you and kaeya got into a relationship. you both were new to all of this, so when you two got into your first argument you were honestly clueless on how to resolve it.
you’ve known kaeya your whole life— you two grew up together in mondstadt. throughout all of those years you never fought, but within the first couple months in your relationship you had your first fight. it was a fairly serious fight. you’d gotten annoyed of how overprotective kaeya had been within the past few weeks, and that confrontation just caused a whole spiral of arguments. you said some vile comments, ones that you regret every night.
about a week or so ago you two decided to take a break after your argument. you didn’t break up or anything, just took some time off. that whole week was… interesting to say the least. you weren’t used to not talking to kaeya everyday. you were used to coming home and falling asleep next to him, waking up in his arms with your figures pressed tightly together. you missed hearing him whisper sweet nothings while you two were drifting off to sleep. as much as you missed everything you couldn’t bring yourself to go and apologize. deep down you knew you were wrong, but on the surface you acted otherwise. you knew you’d have to eventually say something if he didn’t.
you’ve done your best to avoid kaeya this week. you hated doing it but you knew it’d be way too awkward if you two ran into each other. avoiding the tavern, taking the less-busy sidewalks to places, doing your best to avoid the knights headquarters, etc etc. thankfully you hadn’t run into him.. yet.
-
it was already around midnight as you made your way into the knight’s headquarters. you should’ve turned these papers in to jean earlier, but you were still avoiding the headquarters the best you could during the day. right now was the perfect time for you since you knew kaeya would probably be at the tavern or back home. he rarely ever stayed overtime to work on paperwork nowadays, so you figured that you were in the clear.
your footsteps echoed throughout the hallway as you entered. everything was silent in the building, not a soul to be seen in the main part. all of the doors that were cracked had a dark room behind them. some were closed so you couldn’t tell if those had anybody in them, but you doubted. mostly everybody went home for the night around 9pm-10pm.
the light in jean’s office was off, so you had to aimlessly feel around on the wall until you found the switch. you were glad to see that jean had went home earlier than she usually does, you were just wishing she’d left the light on. you wanted to get in and out, fumbling around trying to find a light switch was just adding onto the time you spent in the building. finally your fingertips brushed across the switch.
you walked across the wooden floor, some of the boards creaking underneath your feet. jean’s desk was organized as usual. important paperwork and pens on the right side, stuff that wasn’t important was on the left, and new and untouched paperwork in the middle. your paperwork would be classified as the middle stack, so that’s where you placed it. you took a small glimpse at the paper on top. you recognized the handwriting— it was kaeya’s. only he would write his A’s and E’s in an abnormally curvy way.
just as you placed the paperwork on top of his, you heard a cough come from behind you.
your whole body tensed up for a second. you definitely were startled, simply because you figured that nobody else was in the building. apparently you were wrong though. slowly, you turned around to see who was behind you.
kaeya was standing in the doorway behind you, leaning up against the frame with his arms across his chest.
speak of the devil.
“we need to talk, [name],” kaeya spoke. for the first time you couldn’t quite place what tone he was speaking in right now. was it anger? was it sadness? was it just a normal tone? disappointment even? you had absolutely no clue.
“y-yeah, we do,” your words caught in your throat a little. he was right, you two did need to talk. if you wanted any chance of mending your relationship you couldn’t put it off any longer. you just weren’t prepared for confrontation right now. “can we do it somewhere else though?”
“my place?” he asked, almost as if he read your mind. it was the closest to the headquarters, so that would save you two a painfully long and awkward walk. you gave a small nod, following behind him out the doors. you shivered as the cold air hit you in the face, almost felt like icy needles against your skin.
you two moved throughout the city in silence. the only sounds that could be heard was your steps on the concrete and the small howl of the wind. any other time you wouldn’t really mind the silence between you two, but this time the silence allowed your mind to run wild with thoughts. the conversation that was bound to happen within a matter of minutes would determine whether you two moved forward in life together or break apart. you didn’t want the latter, you two had been friends since before you were teenagers. you didn’t want your foolish outrage where you spoke without thinking to be the downfall.
you couldn’t help but look over at kaeya and wonder if he was feeling the same way or not. you couldn’t read his face so you had no idea where this was going to go. guess you’ll find out soon.
as you stepped through the doors of kaeya’s house, you were greeted with a mostly dark house. you could see the glow of a light from his bedroom, but everything else was dark. the only thing illuminating the room was the moonlight shining on through the windows. shockingly the moon gave a good amount of light; you were able to see stuff clearly. not as clearly as if there were a lamp on, but clear enough.
you turned around to face him once you heard the door close. he was in the same position he was in when you saw him at the headquarters— one shoulder leaning up against the wall with his arms crossed. that’s one of the ways that he usually stands though, so it wasn’t too shocking.
you subconsciously mimicked his position too. you had your arms crossed as you stood, the only thing that was different was there was no wall to lean against. you had your calves pressed against the side of the couch. another difference was that your figure was a lot more tensed, while kaeya’s was more relaxed.
silence hung between you two once again. neither of you knew where to start. so many words that needed to be said were hanging on the tip of your tongues, but if you were to say them you were afraid of what would happen. deep down you knew this was going to get resolved, but the amount of anxiety and fear that this was the end drowned that out.
“we can’t avoid this forever,” kaeya was the one to break the silence. his voice echoed across the room to you, snapping you out of your thoughts.
“i know,” you answered. you tried to keep your voice at a medium tone but it kept sinking lower and lower. this response almost sounded like a whisper, so you weren’t even sure that he heard it.
“i really don’t want to lose you over this, [name],” he began, “we’ve known each other for over two decades, i don’t want our first argument to be what makes everything go down in flames.”
you stood there for a moment, rolling your head up to look at the ceiling for a second. almost as if you were begging whatever was up there to let this go the right way.
“i’m sorry about everything i said. i didn’t mean to call you obsessive or a stalker. i was a total asshole th-that night— i’d gotten drunk off my ass that night and wasn’t thinking before i spoke. i kn-“ your voice started to crack mid-sentence. you felt your eyes begin to sting, tears welling up fast. you bit the inside of your cheek as an attempt to stop yourself from crying, that did nothing but leave a sore. “-i know that you have good intentions and want to keep me safe and i do the same for you. i don’t want this to be the downfall either— i’ve been up all damn week trying to figure out how to approach this. i’m also sorry i didn’t come to you first i was just afraid i’d like— cause another argument. you didn’t deserve the way that i treated you and i’m so sorr-“
the next thing you knew you felt kaeya’s arms wrap around you, pulling you tight against his chest. you don’t even know how you two ended up like this— you’d gotten so lost in your panicked apology ramble that you didn’t pay any attention to what happened. you didn’t know if you’d gone to him, if he’d came to you, or if it was a mutual action.
“it’s okay,” you heard him whisper, his grip on you tightening. “i forgive you hun. i’m sorry about everything that i said too. i was an asshole too.”
“i forgive you too,” you said with a shaky breath, tears threatening the spill even harder now. “i missed you so much.”
with that you both broke down. you buried your heads in the crook of each other’s necks and just cried. you had no clue how long you two cried for. a few minutes? a whole hour? who knows.
within a few hours you found yourself right where you felt like you belonged. laying in bed with kaeya, curled up tight next to his side with your head resting on his bare chest, and his arm wrapped around you rubbing small circles against your skin.
it was about 3 in the morning now. you two were wide awake but neither of you cared. you both were just happy to be back into your regular routine.
you tilted your head up to look at kaeya. he was focused on a book he was reading, but you knew he was watching you out of the corner of his eye. you just laid there for a few minutes admiring him. you’ve seen his face almost everyday for twenty years but it’d never not be pretty. everything about him was perfect to you. all the things that he swore were flaws, even the darkest sides of him were perfect in your eyes. many other people would disagree with you on this, but they didn’t know kaeya like you did.
you always knew you had feelings for kaeya. it just started out as some silly crush that children get, but it stuck with you throughout the years. even when you had a s/o, it would never feel real. their love and your love just felt very fake. you did have feelings for whoever you were with, but your feelings for kaeya would always get in the way. all of those relationships never showed you what it was like to be loved. you never knew what truly being loved felt like until you and kaeya started dating. honestly looking back he made you feel loved since the day you met, but at the time you didn’t realize that. sandbox love never really dies, does it? you two were living proof of that.
after awhile of looking at him you had to return to your original position. the way you had your chin resting on his chest as you looked up put an uncomfortable strain on your neck.
once you were comfortable again you placed a hand on his torso, aimlessly running up and down it. your fingertips brushed over some burn scars that he had on his abdomen. you let them linger there for a couple of seconds. you felt his abdomen tense for a small second, but you knew he didn’t mind. this was one of the many ways you two would silently say “i love you”— tracing over each other’s scars.
another hour passed before you felt your eyelids begin to grow heavy. kaeya must have been getting tired too because he finally put the book down and flicked off the light switch. now you two were laying in the dark, trying your best to go to sleep.
“goodnight darling,” kaeya mumbled, you could tell he was on the brink of sleep just by his voice.
you shifted around some so that you could give him your goodnight kisses. first you placed some lazy kisses to his jawline, then some more kisses on his lips.
“goodnight bub,” you whispered against his lips between kisses. “i love you.”
“i love you more,” he said in response as you shifted back to the way you were laying before.
right before you let sleep consume you, you let out a small sigh of relief. you’d been stressing about your argument all week, and now it was all over. everything was okay now, you and kaeya were okay.
you and kaeya were okay.
