kinda obsessed with the fact that grace isn’t in “go go nighthawks.” the person that came up with the whole plan to get back at max and to chop up and hide his body, is the one student that doesn’t reap the benefits from it.

her saying “mama i’m cured” only after she saw ghost max in her dream and thought he wasn’t sexy at all just shows how nothing changed for her after max died. it took that dream for her to move on. and it shows that those feelings were all grace and not actually max’s fault. (he certainly didn’t help, but he never made her have that fantasy)

i’m so curious about how those two weeks were for her

Well, in EoM, during cotillion, when Marius and Briggsy were paired together to dance for the first time, Andy and Richie absolutely did not hesitate before grabbing onto each other. And it’s hard to see from Rich’s end, since all you can really see is Andy’s arm, but that motherfucker had a GRIP. Like, you could see the fucking veins. Like, when I first watched that episode, I had glanced up to the top half of the screen, with Lethica explaining to Jericho how to hold her, and I just glance down and see Andy and Rich already in formation, and just the absolute confusion that must’ve been on my face when seeing Andy’s arm fucking tensing. Like bro. Why are you gripping so hard the fuck

Hey, i noticed you use safety eyes in your plushies, and I was wondering if you use interfacing or anything with them to reinforce the fabric? (Lil ghostie is super cute btw!)

Thanks! Mostly no, I don't use interfacing. There are a few exceptions; I have one kind of faux fur in particular that is an absolute pain to work with (but is so so soft) that sometimes if I am using safety eyes with it I'll put a piece of scrap minky behind the faux fur and the washer of the safety eye. I have to admit for fabrics that flimsy/prone to ripping I usually just applique eyes instead of using safety eyes, though? And if I was going to use safety eyes on woven fabric, especially flannel, I'd want to reinforce it

thinking a lot about how in a watsonian pov Lucas's motivations make a lot of sense and I support the character but in a doylist way his s3 arc has always rubbed me the wrong way bc i feel that the motivations of fictional black men almost always revolve around the concept of popularity and what is Cool and Masculine

and like yes white fictional characters often also interact with those concepts but like. they are also given other plots and I feel like young black men usually aren't. like black teen boys are always written as either jocks obsessed with what's cool or nerds who are obsessed with what's cool. like its disturbing how often fiction is set up to imply that a black person whose entire identity doesn't revolve around the acceptance of others must be miserable.

there is almost no presence of a gleeful black nerd in any medium. which is odd to me because I feel like, in the years before Marvel and Halo made being a nerd "cool", it was my black friends who introduced me to most of the nerdy shit in my life. Like, I probably never would have gotten into anime at all if not for a guy on the bus letting me read his copies of Yu Yu Hakusho. Most of the video games I play are because they are genres I used to play with a girl who I only became best friends with bc we were the only two girls who were into anime in our class. we got into dnd together.

and like it could be argued that Lucas feeling pressured to turn to sports is only because of this stereotype, but I don't think acknowledging the stereotype within the narrative actually makes it different from all the others.
