So I was rereading The Raven Boys and:

"His code of honour left no room for infidelity, for casual relationships. It wasn't that he didn't condone them; he couldn't understand them."

So now I'm headcanoning Ronan as demisexual and/or demiromantic and I like this idea. I honestly don't know how I missed it before.

Characters I HeadCanon as Aspec:

Ronan Lynch (The Raven Cycle) -Homoromantic Demisexual - There is a scene where he is talking about how he never can understand the idea of hooking up. That's demisexual behavior if I've ever heard it.

Oliver Wood (Harry Potter) - Aromantic Asexual - This man cares about Quidditch, his team, and maybe two other people. He would be the person to say "I don't have time for those things."

Merida (Brave) - Aromantic Asexual - Literally almost starts a war over how much she doesn't want to get married.

Thyon Niro (Strange the Dreamer) - Demiromantic Asexual- He likes alchemy and only realizes later that, oh...affection is cool.

Charlie Weasley (Harry Potter) - Aromantic Asexual - Dragons...

Elsa (Frozen) - Homoromantic (?) Asexual - It just fits the vibe. She has bigger things to worry about than attraction.

Kaz Brekker (Six of Crows) - Demi/Graysexual - I feel like could be aspec in someway. He likes money and has a lot of motivations that are not sex and romance like we see with some of the others.

Enjolras (Les Miserables) - Homoromantic Asexual - Patria first. Love and pleasantries second. It's like his whole thing.

Yelena Belova (Marvel) - Aromantic Asexual - This is Canon!!! I love it so much!

Characters who should have been aspec but the authors are cowards

Magnus Bane (from the TV show): This doesn’t really work if you look at the books, but on the show, Magnus is 100% demisexual. He literally says, “I fall in love with the soul before the sex.” 

Woosley Scott: I’ve been all over the internet, and I can’t find anything confirming if he’s canonically aromantic or not. If he isn’t, he should be. 

Gansey: He’s demisexual. Seriously, he acts so confused when Adam says Gansey has more dating experience, and the only people he ever seems to find attractive are Adam and maybe Ronan at some point in the past. Even with Blue (who he hasn’t known for very long), he wants to kiss her, and he has a crush on her, but I can’t remember sexual attraction ever coming up (and no, wanting to kiss someone does not equal sexual attraction).

Ronan Lynch: It’s not that he doesn’t condone casual dating, it’s that he doesn’t understand it. This boy is demiromantic. The only person we ever see him have romantic feelings for is Adam, and probably Gansey at some point in the past. Also, it probably means something that I’m demiromantic and like to project all my romantic-orientation-based angst on Ronan. 

Henry Cheng: “I’m Henrysexual.” He’s aroace. 

Agatha Wellbelove: Definitely aromantic. Personally, I think she’s also pansexual, but there are a lot of aroace Agatha headcanons out there and they’re all great. 

Penelope Bunce: For no particular reason, I think she’s grayace. 

Simon Snow: This isn’t a case of the author being a coward. I actually really like that Simon doesn’t label his sexuality. Beyond that, he could definitely identify as demisexual/romantic if he wanted to. He never seems to experience either type of attraction toward anyone who isn’t Baz, and he had a girlfriend for, like, three years before they got together.  

Nico di Angelo: I’ve seen some ace Nico headcanons around, and I’m convinced. 

Thalia Grace: zero romantic interests in sight, joins the Hunters of Artemis, doesn’t have a story arc that revolves around her finding a romantic interest, doesn’t seem all that bothered about romance in general. Aroace.
