Hey anon! Apologies for the late answer, but you're absolutely right; Neil Gaiman's speech is filled with good information, as well as great points against the prosecution of fiction. This paragraph from the speech, I feel, is very important:

"... The world that antis want is very similar to what actually happened in this paragraph: for creators of "problematic" media to get prosecuted, and their works made illegal. This world is one that is obviously regressive, and limits the artistic freedom of fiction for everyone- even antis themselves.

What's that? A sh*t ton of commotion, loud blaring music and bright flashing lights that could severely damage your eyes? Count him in! Sure he may have stood upon a creepy-ass looking manor, but eh, those were just slight details!

He rapidly knocked on the door, excited to join in all the fun. After all he'd never miss the chance to put himself into the life of the party at ANY party he possibly can, even if Joan scolded him over how dangerous that can be. The door is swung open by a person with a VERY convicing creepy owl costume who chose to greet him by seemingly staring right in his soul.

“okay yall. as you can see, we got the ice bowl right here.” paige said, moving a piece of ice with her finger. “you better know me well because this is gonna be cold as shit.” you laugh, coming to stand behind her. paige rolled her eyes, moving the phone farther back. “okay so, what was i on the cheer team in highschool.” you ask, trying to hold back a laugh. paige pressed her lips into a line, looking up at you. “like the one that goes in the air? i don’t know-” you laugh, dunking her head in the water. “wrong. i wasn’t used in stunts, i was the main tumbler.” you laugh, wiping some of the water off of her face. “bro, you can’t do trick questions.” paige stood up, waiting for you to sit down.

you shrug, tucking some hair behind your ear. “okay, what is drew’s favorite song right now.” she laughs, bringing the boy in question into the frame. drew smiled, before looking at you and raising one of his eyebrows. “easy, unwritten because we rewatched that part in anyone but you like twenty times just for the song.” you both look over at drew, smiling whenever he nodded his head ‘yes.’ you stood up, thinking of your next question.

“okay, how many years did my mom homeschool me for?” you put your hands on paige’s head, laughing at her face. “it was like…two months in the sixth grade but then she got tired of you..” she closed her eyes, waiting to be dunked. you sigh, smacking her head lightly. “that’s right. i don’t know how you remember that.” paige sticks her tongue out, putting her hand on the back of your head. “what’s my favorite color?” she smiles, looking at you through the phone. “purple.” you look up at her, then pointing down to her purple shirt. the blonde rolls her eyes, motioning for you to get up. “this just isn’t fair.” paige mumbled, sitting down in the chair.

“mk, this is my last one. what was our first conversation about?” you smile, looking down at the blonde. paige smirks, putting her hands in her lap. “it was about what position lauren should play in soccer. she’s best at midfield but wanted to be a striker. you thought the exact opposite and we fought for like fifteen minutes.” you rolled your eyes, knowing she was right. the video was ending, so you dunk her at the last second. “babe! that was right!” she wiped her eyes, looking up at you. “i know, but im still upset over that. since i was her coach i was right.” you laugh, kissing the top of paige’s head. she dumps the bowl of water in the sink, laughing at you.

“whatever you say, babe.”

• she literally banned you from doing anything for yourself. like she was determined to wait on you hand and foot ( even though you were still fully capable of doing it for yourself )

• she bought so many clothes. like the baby had a better closet than the both of you and they weren’t even born yet

• telling the team was just pure chaos. a few of them had ideas, but whenever it was confirmed everyone was going crazy.

• i feel like she wouldn’t care about the gender much, just wanting a healthy baby that she can have play basketball 😭

- “okay- so when i dribble the ball the color will just like explode out?” paige asked her mom, who had planned the whole thing out ( since she was the only one who they trusted with the gender ) “yeah honey, we’re all waiting.” she laughed, holding the phone tightly. you nodded, moving out of the way so she could shoot it. “okay, no pressure.” she laughed, dribbling the ‘basketball’ and shooting it whenever pink smoke began flowing out. you both started crying, and everyone started cheering and congratulating you both. “a baby girl, i’m so excited. so fucking excited, ma.” paige wrapped her arms around your growing stomach, kissing your cheek.

• after the gender reveal, a sudden burst of girl clothes, and an insane amount of shoes, began to take over the nursery.

• whenever the baby girl was born, paige and your daughter immediately were attached at the hip. like she only left paige whenever you had to feed her, or whenever paige had to go out of the house.

• paige would definitely be insanely protective over her. like even if she was still a baby, she was cautious of who she let hold her and in their house to see her.

•i feel like she would just put ‘mom’ in her bio. like that’s how she identifies now😭
