something i like to post now and again is that i'm not a time limited blog at all. anything i've sent you / replied to you with / messaged you about, i am not expecting an answer straight away, nor will i chase you for. i don't suffer from any decay in interests for any of it in the meantime, either. in the same way, i do also extend that curtsey to myself. i take my time in all aspects of roleplay and forever apologise for the delay or any negative feelings this may make you feel.

in the same vein, this also replies to holiday related things! i have holiday related things i still intend to reply on even if they're out of season, and if i have sent you anything holiday related i really dont mind when you reply! we can make it christmas, valentines or someones birthday any day of the year, we are in control as the writers in turn!

if you also lose muse for things, that is 100% fine too! getting things super late / after having so much happen since you last replied is never easy and we have plenty of opportunities to start again or find something else we can plot with!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, chapter 3 is my favorite still so far and I love Thórgestr's fate-spirit of a mother. I think there is poetry in this:

“Yes,” she says, voice soft but deepening, suddenly wholly unfamiliar and foreboding, a voice from beyond Midgard.  “Áleifr will wander, empty-handed and ice-hearted.  Fresh snow will be his grave after ravens pick his bones clean and gleaming in the long night.  And you, my son, will learn who you are without him.”

I would love, well and truly, to have a more original and interesting answer than "the Blixa's gender/pronouns discourse", but... the Blixa's gender/pronouns discourse. I say that knowing I helped instigate the latter portion of that discourse. It's just tiring. For one, if Blixa really cared about not being seen as nonbinary, xe would have disavowed "Seven Screws" ages ago. Xe would have disavowed Tabula Rasa ages ago. Xe would have disavowed "Seele brennt" ages ago. For another, as far as pronouns go... either believe me about them or don't. It really does not matter. Blixa does not care if people use he/him for him. Xe also does not care if you use any other set of pronouns for xem. (Personally, I favour xe/xem and she/her for xem because of reasons—and yes, I have addressed Blixa with xe/xem, and xe was totally fine with it. Again, yes, you will have to take my word for it—it's up to you if you do or don't.) If me using pronouns other than he/him for Blixa bothers you, just block me. It's so easy to block me! You are not personally protecting Blixa from ✨the crazy genderists✨ by bugging me about it.

I believe this was the unpopular opinion meme; correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't have that many unpopular opinions to share, I already voiced the "controversial creek take" multiple times and I don't want to anymore.

So, how about this.

The Internet used to be much more... Chill. If someone didn't like the things you did, they would block you and move on. Callouts were rarer and usually only for an actual reason and not because you shipped something 'icky'. Dramas were usually resolved in private, and everyone just went on about their business. It was fun, you didn't have to tiptoe your way around everyone, and I'm only talking about time a decade ago. The biggest insult someone could throw at you back then was calling your OTP a NOTP.

gonna be honest and admit that when i started I haven't thought of it, BUT then remembered that Nano was gonna be first a game when I was 8-10, went to comic since I saw the game thing too difficult to be real. I still do-!

i've put thought into it, and Nano is my STUPID baby. I think i would like to (in the good case that I can actually one day put two pieces of code together lmao) Do smaller games first, to build up my skills, to be able to make the idea I want true.

Im reading a lot of shit already and trying to learn math(skull emoji) I got a BIG list of lil projects to work on already-! Silly ideas that i keep rounding up the more i learn!Its fun

This is ONE of my favorite dialogue exchanges because I can't decide a single favorite between all of the discussions that have been written in this fic so far, there are too many (and there will be more, lol), and Solveig Silvertongue is too much fun for me to write, tbh!!! But here is a part where she and Thórgestr talk about Senua:

“Fargrímr said you have been calling her Giantsbane,” Thórgestr asks, and Solveig’s face brightens.

“The Björg took it up quickly. I have been speaking with her and Fargrímr about the journey you were on and the giants that were defeated in Rauðhólar and Bárðarvik, Illtauga and Sjávarrisi. She has been tight-lipped about all of the details, but the song is being worked and she has already proven her mettle among the warriors.”

“She defeated me in Reykjanestá after our shipwreck,” Thórgestr adds, long past the sting to his pride, though the axe-scar in his calf twinges at the memory of her victory. “She is a fierce fighter.”

“A force to be reckoned with. Senua Giantsbane, who slipped the chains that bound her when she was brought to this land and then used her will and her whiles to break the chains of others.” Solveig’s smile grows as she finds the rhythm of her word-weaving. “Senua Truthseeker, who has eyes that see through secrets, and though she is a warrior, she does not let her sight become blinded by blood and rage—she has strength and wisdom, keen as a blade.”

For this I rolled a d100 and got 13, so here is the 13th paragraph of the chapter I am currently working on (chapter 6):

Does this count? It's certainly not a line, but I feel like both Senua and Thórgestr decide together to be friends in this final section of chapter 4:

“I don’t want to be feared,” Senua says, voice muffled by his clothing. “Or loved for what I—I can’t be. I don’t want followers, I want…”

She trails off, swallowing something down. Thórgestr strokes along her spine and tries to guess the shape of her desire.

He thinks about all that they have seen and done together—all she has done for him and the people of this land—but how little he knows about her, in truth. Before tonight, he knew of a promise she made to save her people, and her ability to see and hear spirits beyond the veil of Midgard. He knew about her strength and prowess as a warrior, and her drive to shield innocents from violence.

He admires her. But now he realizes that he wants to know her, too.

He thinks again of one side of his tapestry of fate—the power of the throne, but the aching loneliness that comes with it.

“I think,” he begins, slow and as soft as he can, “you want friends at your side, rather than followers trailing behind. You want someone to know you again and to believe in you for your own sake.”

She shivers. “But I’m afraid,” she says, and that is confirmation enough.

He reaches past her and pulls one of the blankets over to wrap around them both. “Me too. But I’ll be at your side if you’ll let me.”

Senua presses her face a little harder into him and nods.
