Kimetsu no Yaiba Headcanons - He's a good boy

Yoriichi

He feels a little uncomfortable.

First of all, he’s not a boy. Second of all, he doesn’t feel like he’s very good.

He’s failed to protect so many in his life that he sometimes feels like a failure. But having s/o’s love is something he cherishes.

The simple act of them telling him he’s a good boy is enough to drive him to emotional tears, which he keeps quite not to wake them.

Kokushibo

All his life, all Kokushibo Michikatsu wanted was for someone to tell him he was good.

Now someone finally had.

His heart would swell with pride and accomplishment. Feeling that is, s/o thought he was good, then he must be.

Holds on to that but ultimately gets bitter when they don’t continue to tell him that.

Giyu

Surprised by it.

It would take Giyu completely off guard at being called a good boy. He hadn’t been called that since he was a child.

Suddenly sad over remembering his sister & family, but warmed by the thought that this could be a new one.

Would curl up next to s/o to get some sleep as well. Wanting to never let them go.

Jfc this post but reader DOES make it out eventually...because of Shadow Company's efforts. It's not even a question of whether or not reader joins them, it's a question of when. Cause we all know Phillip 'Kiss the Homies Goodnight' Graves would NEVER leave one of his Shadows behind.

somehow graves hears about this — price told laswell who told alex (poor thing was shocked to hear this, about price no less) who mentioned it to farah (equally appalled, if not outright searching for blood) who slipped it to graves.

and he was incensed. you never leave anyone behind, and graves would rather die trying than knowingly walking away with someone who’s relying on him.

so he gets his most trusted shadows, a group of four that could rival even the 141 if he was being honest (of course he’ll think that, he’s graves. his soldiers are nothing but the best.) and he sets out with his sights on you, his shadows scanning every inch of every facility that even vaguely looks like somewhere you might be tucked away.

and he finds you. he threatens his shadows within an inch of their life to get you out without fuckin’ this whole thing up. he make a jab at the 141, can’t fuck up more than they already did.

he leads the pack, putting himself first. his shadows will follow, ever the loyal dogs. they’ll die for him, as much as he would with them.

he’s as meticulous as he is brutal , with his hands bloodied and gun magazines empty, shells on the floor around his feet when he finally comes across you. you barely have any sense to be scared anymore, even if you should. death would be a mercy that your captors haven’t allowed you.

graves would snort if you called him anything close to an angel (savior, he’ll take), but he’s careful with you as he gets your binds undone, skin rubbed raw from your struggles, dirtied and broken and wanting it to be over already.

he’s careful as he brings you back to the ship, promises he shouldn’t make about keeping you safe, keeping you out of the wrong hands. you probably shouldn’t be so relaxed in his hold, if the stories the 141 told you are anything to go by. but he’s there when they aren’t, so you just let yourself rest for the first time in what feels like forever and tell yourself you’ll figure it out later.

Yoriichi has never been the best at showing emotions, you’re very aware of this. Many are put off because his lack of expression.

You’ve learned that even though his face doesn’t show any emotion, that doesn’t mean he isn’t feeling anything. In truth he feels a lot, he’s an incredibly sweet and kind man.

The main point of your bounding with yoriichi is that you both desperately want a family.

You lost your family just like Yoriichi, of course you talked about other things but the topic of family always snuck it’s face into your conversations.

You make your way towards Yoriichi with a tray of of food in your hands. Yoriichi is quietly sitting on your porch, he would have been mistaken for a statue if he didn’t shift his head into your direction.

“Forgive me for taking so long, I thought I had sweat tea but I ended up only having green tea” Yoriichi takes the plate from your hands as you sit down, he returns after your fully seated.

“It is fine, I like green tea” his voice bland a quick as usual. You hand him a cup, you carefully watch him take a sip. You’re worried you somehow managed to mess up the tea.

His face doesn’t change as he finishes his sip. “It’s good” again his voice is bland but you know he actually likes it. There’s a awkward silence between you to, your eyes wander trying to find something to make the mood better.

Your eyes fixate on the tea, picking up your own glass you scoot yourself closer to him. You smile at him “I-I heard that green tea is good for fertility” the smile quickly fades from your face as Yoriichi stares at you.

For once you have no idea what he’s thinking or feeling, he just stares directly into your eyes. Panic washes over you as you believe you’ve greatly upset him. Your face turns a beat red and you stumble out an apology.

“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean it-like that!” You avert your gaze away from him being to embarrassed for the prior statement. Yoriichis gaze slightly softens and he opens his mouth “it’s fine, I know you mean well”.

Your gaze makes it back to his, your heart speaks before your mind. “I….I mean…I just thought..what if you got re married” immediately you mentally slap yourself.

In a conversation you had with yoriichi awhile back you brought up getting re married, you said you were open to the idea of getting re married while yoriichi shut down the thought of re marrying.

You’re already about to spill out another apology but yoriichi cuts you off. “If I got re married then this tea would be quite helpful, I appreciate the thought” he’s voice is different you don’t know how but it is, his voice sounds like a new song to you. Your eyes widen as he entertains the thought of getting re married.

I was in tech class when I pitched a comic idea to my friends and now we're here. I can't remember if anything was mentioned between Michikatsu and other sun breathers in canon (ik Kokushibo ran a killing spree on them but not anything before that), but something tells me he would not have been pleased to know someone else learned it before he could.

The guy lived, don't worry 👍. At the request of the insta followers, he has a name: Takashi Kuwabara (久和原 宇志). The guy talking to Michi also has a name. Tadaki Noumi (能美 忠喜) is from my Sengoku Era Hashira cast. Anyways Kuwabara is probably going to retire very soon 💀

Also I promise I don't think Michi is an unreasonable rage freak , I just have more fun drawing aggression. If anything, compared to other sketches I've done and have planned, this is one of those rare annual outbursts. Considering how Michi and Kokushibo talk about strength and posturing like a swordsman, I feel like he'd be curt but professional a lot of the time anyway. Maybe next on my list should be drawing him chilling tf out o(￣▽￣)ｄ

Breaking the silence of the stillness of the atmosphere, a frog leaped onto the man's palm. With its large eyes and playful grin, it produced an astonishing sound—with its raspy voice, it declared,

Yoriichi's eyes widened with a slight shock—a frog blessed with an ability to speak.. It stood apart from the rest, a creature being who could speak in a world of silence. Forever marked by its difference, cast aside by a world that could not understand. Perhaps, in some way, they were not so different after all.
