sansa/willas is a very nothingburger of a ship to me bc like. willas doesnt have a personality yet. BUT of all the straight sansa ships this one seems the most like. What If Sansa Was With A Man Who Was Nice. what if she still had to participate in westerosi patriarchy as a wife and a mother but it was with someone who was nice and loved her <3 and its like thats not quite what i personally am aiming for but i do like where your head is at

this is my thoughts!! its a cute what if where the tyrells arent QUITE as morally bleak and actually follow through with their promises to sansa<3 yeah its boring but thats clearly the point. like gun to my head i have to pick an adult man ship endgame for sansa. i pick willas<3

i dont like fanon niceguy willas and i especially find the way people visualise him as like a skinny fit hot guy lame but even if.... ok PAUSE imagine a rating scale with garlan on one side and olenna on the other title it 'tyrells ranked by how conniving they are'. UNPAUSE. so even if willas is more on the olenna side of conniving i still think he's a nice husband choice for sansa<3 also im a sansaery warrior first and foremost so if she marries willas she can cheat on him with her sister-in-law

A. J. + bridge, please

The weird thing about traveling in a boat for years was that you learned to look at certain things in different ways. For instance, you didn’t see a waterfall and think, “ahhh what a picturesque view.” You thought, “well living was fun while it lasted” and then desperately try to paddle in the opposite direction.

Not that A.J. would know anything about that.

(okay he would. But it was at least forty percent Chase’s fault for not double checking his suggested shortcut on their map.)

Another one of those things that one looked at differently were bridges. Although this might have been one that was more specific to traveling through gang territory.

“Can you see anyone?” Chase’s voice was low, hands locked around the steering pole. Their boat had a motor, but it was a strictly “for emergencies only because we have about half a tank of gas and not many situations to fill it up” motor, so they used oars and poles most of the time.

A.J. squinted through the binoculars he was holding, peering up at the bridge they were about to pass under. It was made of rusting iron and ancient wooden planks, and he personally would not have used it without some serious thoughts about how hard it would be to swim across instead.

Luckily, this meant there weren’t many if any places for gang members to hide until they reached the bridge, then pop up and throw rocks and molotov cocktails and dead animals at them. (and they did. A.J. could, unfortunately, attest to all of them.)

“No,” he said. “And I don’t see anywhere they could be hiding, unless they’re hiring stick people now. Our only danger is if it gives out when we go underneath it.”

Chase eyed the bridge, looking like he was considering that as a possibility. Then he nodded. “Okay. Let’s move.”

Grabbing his own oar, A.J. settled down and they began to move forward again. Despite his own words, A.J. held his breath until they’d passed under the bridge, and it was a few yards behind them.

Better safe than sorry, after all.

I saw your post about asoiaf character headcanons https://www.tumblr.com/hchollym/656295257177276416/who-are-some-of-your-head-cannons-for-characters and I’m begging for more Willas Tyrell headcanons! Anything you have! What is he into? You said he makes nerdy jokes. Whats his personality like?

How does he feel about the whole “potentially engaged to Sansa thing” and how did he feel when she was forced to marry Tyrion? (I cant imagine he would have been in love w her immediately if they married, bc she is 13 (3 years younger than Margery) and he is at least in his 24-27ish in current book canon)

It's been a while since I got an asoiaf ask, so this was fun! 😃

More Willas Tyrell Headcanons:

-He has brown curly hair and hazel eyes.

-He's definitely an introvert. He's very kind and genuine, and some people are drawn to that (like Oberyn), but he's not naturally charming or assertive, so he finds social situations a little more difficult to navigate.

-He enjoys astronomy (since he likes looking at the stars) and drawing/painting (since he drew pictures for Margaery when she was little).

-He's not great at expressing his feelings. He knows how to - he's very self-aware - but he has a tendency to hide his insecurities/sadness and keep things inside, because he already feels physically vulnerable due to his leg, and he's afraid to be emotionally vulnerable too.

-He loves all animals (including cats and dogs), and he always names them after historical figures.

-He can never admit it out loud (because he's a Tyrell), but he gets tired of the smell/sight of roses (they have far too strong of a floral scent). Because of this, he grows his own little garden of Iris Blue Rhythms (but he has it fenced off because they're toxic to dogs). These flowers are a pretty blue and lemon-scented (which is actually his favorite scent, because he loves how fresh it smells).

Headcanons About Willas' Thoughts on Sansa:

-I'm not sure he even knew about the plan until after it was ruined. Mace didn't know, and Olenna may very well have kept that secret close to her chest until after she arrived in King's Landing.

-Once he found out, he was definitely concerned by her age. Even by Westeros' standards, Sansa was still young for marriage, and since she was three years younger than Margaery (his baby sister), he saw her as a child.

-He protested an immediate wedding and argued for a long betrothal, and he only backed down when Margaery told him about the abuse Sansa suffered at Joffrey's hands. At that point, he realized that marrying her quickly was the only way to protect her, and he agreed because it was the chivalrous thing to do.

-He was horrified when he found out that she was married to Tyrion, because 1. Her age was still a factor, and he assumed that Tyrion would consummate the marriage; 2. Tyrion was a part of the family that killed Sansa's father, and he knew that would be traumatizing for her, especially because it meant that she would be stuck around the Lannisters for the rest of her life; and 3. He knew Sansa imagined a much "better" husband than a dwarf (and by Westeros' tradition, it was honestly an insult to marry her to Tyrion).

-He was also disappointed because he knew that Sansa was the best political match he could ever make, and even if she never loved him, he thought that she would at least enjoy Highgarden & he would keep her safe.

I have an idea! No, two! If you don't feel like going to a pre-childbirth class, then maybe you should ask Willa for assistance on the subject? She might be able to show you how to change diapers or talk about breastfeeding or any of her experience with caring for Felix when he was an infant still. This way you don't need to meet with strangers, and she might feel better knowing she could help you out. My other idea is that there might be an option to hire an antenatal instructor to hold a course just for the two of you. It might be more expensive but it's not like you guys wouldn't be able to afford that.

Lucifer: "Hey- I changed diapers before!"

The king says, slightly offended with a puffed chest.

Alastor: "Yes, but do you remember it?"

Lucifer: "Uh- I mean yes! Todally!"

With a raised eyebrow, Alastor grabs a baby doll that the kids had left lying around.

Alastor: "Why don't you enlighten me then?"

So the king conjures a couple of diapers and takes one from the pile. Then another. Yet another.

Lucifer, defeated: "Yeah... I don't remember..."

Alastor: "We could ask Willa then. I'd rather not have strangers involved unless absolutely necessary"

Lucifer, shrugging: "It's worth a shot"

Willa had actually just finished some very interesting game with Nova and Felix. Involving a platypus agent and dinosaurs. The woman has tried to spend as much time with her son, and in addition Nova, as possible.

Willa: "I can sh-show you what I know"

Her voice is now more nasal and a slight strain is to be heard. Here and there she needs to pause swallow. Ahe explains the process first, and then tries to demonstrate but- the straps glide through her fingers. The muscles struggle with getting the hand into the right position, let alone grab with it enough force. Willa's hands shake, so the hellhound moves them to her side.

Alastor quickly hides the stupid doll away, while Lucifer pulls her close.

Lucifer: "Oh shit, I'm sorry - we didn't mean to- we wanted just to... I'm sorry -"

Willa, tense: "It's okay. Just stop talking about it."

She doesn't make a move out of the hug. Just starring at the little dinosaur toy on the floor.

Willa: "Fuck. he'll.... I can't..."

The radio demon takes the still shaking hands gently.

Alastor: "... My mother died when I was 14."

The hellhound looks up, with big glossy eyes.

Alastor: "She was one of the best people I was fortunate to meet. I couldn't have wished for a greater Mama. And I remember her final thoughts with more clarity than most things. In the hopes it brings you any peace of mind; I promise we will try our hardest to make sure he is loved, happy and cared for, even after you're gone. This is excru for both of you, and neither of you deserve this. But this one thing I can know for certain. He is protected"

The woman starts sobbing hard, so hard that Alastor is worried to have said the wrong words. But her hands squeezes his momentarily. Fuck it's weak but Alastor is sure to treasure it

At first, I shipped Zed x Wyatt jokingly, but I ended up actually really liking that dynamic. That's for non-canon. For Canon, A-spen x Willa :DD

Not really. Mostly because... Well, I think that nobody who meets when they're 14 and 24 are a good match. I mean, if you mean politically? Great! Joffrey is still a better match for Sansa, but both Cat and Ned think she's too young to be betrothed. They're right, by the way. Willas... We don't know enough about. He seems nice! He seems like a genuinely nice guy.

But I don't think that, to the dismay of shippers everywhere, two people being nice a good marriage makes. In terms of relationship, Willas is definitely an interesting character whom I think we'll meet decently extensively in Winds, but ultimately - he's a foil to Tyrion. The crippled heir, who is still taken into the family, who is still loved, and who cares for his siblings. Willas and Maelys Blackfyre stand at opposites end of where Tyrion could be; and that's really where the match proposal stands.

Ultimately, it would've been your standard Westerosi marriage. Perhaps a bit better than usual! They could become the next Ned and Cat. It'd be a good political match! The Reach being able to support the North in winter would be *huge* for them.

But ultimately, I don't think it's a relationship you should be betting on.
