Mastermind

Wesker is hard to sneak up on.

Unintentional or intentional.

He has a very sharp reflexes.

It's a product of his time in the police force.

And as the head chairman for Umbrella.

Overall, he's highly focused and highly alert at all times.

Even when he's sleeping he seems on edge.

So it's rare that you'll actually catch him off guard.

But when you do his reaction is very tame.

Sometimes he'll jerk his head back slightly.

His eyes might get a little wide.

Maybe, you'll hear a tiny gas.

But that's it really.

"Dear Heart, are you trying to sneak up on me?"

He'll ask in a teasing voice.

"You can't catch me off guard that easily. You'll have to try harder dear."

If you mention you weren't trying to sneak up on him, he'll pause.

"I see."

"You'd make an excellent assassin, you know."

"If that's what you can do when you aren't trying, imagine what you can do when you are "

His head is always in his work.

But a compliment like that isn't given to just anyone.

The great Albert Wesker does not say such things lightly.

He does give praise like that to just anyone.

In short, he's impressed.

Deathslinger

When Caleb is working on his inventions, he gets heavily invested.

I mean heavily invested.

There could be an earthquake, and he wouldn't realize it unless blueprints or material is knocked over.

So you think scaring him would be easy.

But it really isn't.

Since Caleb is so invested, he'll hardly notice you leaning over him unless you physically grab him.

Which you might have to do.

He'll work for hours on end if he isn't stopped.

When you do have to get his attention, probably to make him eat after working so hard, it's best to gently tap his shoulder then move back.

And make sure you do so quickly.

When Caleb is frightened, he'll flail his arms around and turn around quickly.

He's not very vocal about it, he might gasp though.

But you have to be careful because he's got long arms, and he might accidentally hit you.

And he'd feel awful if that happened.

"Darlin', you can't do that. I'm an old man. My heart can't take that."

"Oh Honey, give a man some warning next time, okay?"

He's not mad at you.

But he is coming down from the shock, so he might be a little out of breath.

But no matter what, he'll always give you a tight hug after.

"Aww, don't worry Sweet Pea. I ain't mad at you."

Trickster

Ji-Woon is very hard to scare.

Not because he's particularly brave.

But because he has exquisite hearing.

Which is to be expected.

This is a man who can name any note that is sung just by listening to it.

He's highly trained in singing, and therefore, highly trained and listening to singing.

He hears everything.

Things most people wouldn't normally pay attention to.

The sound of breathing.

Little food steps.

Even jewelry as it will click when a person walks.

If you ever manage to startle him, it will probably be when he's putting on his makeup.

That is when he is the most focused without making a sound.

However, when he's doing his makeup, he's always in front of a mirror.

So he'll still be able to see you.

Now, on the off chance that you are able to startle him, he takes it with great humor.

He'll start laughing almost immediately.

"Oh Darling, I'm so glad you aren't a rabid fan. I would have to kill you otherwise."

Then he'll probably pay your head or something like that.

Like threatening to kill someone and laughing about it is totally normal.

Don't worry, he's joking.

He would never lay a hand on you.

It wasn't uncommon for the victims in the fog to slip up and short-circuit the generators, whether they be lulled into madness by the Doctor's electricity or just downright stressed.

Four times in a row, though? That's new.

Caleb stills just short of the Ironworks, his jaw clicking as he sets it gently back into place. You don't flinch, you don't even move. Some of the more seasoned survivors would have spotted the old cowboy before he even made it round the corner, but not you.

A new, pretty little thing, unfortunate as you were that the Entity plucked you away. He could nearly imagine you in such a sweeter setting, away from all that oil and grime that coated you to your elbows, somewhere you much better belonged.

What really tickled him was the the confusion scrunching your face, each twist of gears and tugging of wires resulted in the rickety generator blowing up in your face. None of the other survivors had bothered much with you then, left you alone as easy pickings for him to snap up - and snap up he would.

It wasn't like Caleb to meddle in survivor affairs, but it was pitiful to watch you struggle, frustrated tears building high in your pretty eyes. They must've all forgotten that they were all you once upon a time, and there was no reward in the Entity's realm for spitefulness and cruelty. Not on their side, at least.

He stills a few inches away, finger resting patiently on the Redeemer’s trigger. He could just as easily gut you from where he stood, drag you back to a hook with your legs trailing like dead weight behind you. But he didn’t - and he wouldn’t. The Entity simmers, whispering angrily in his ears, but after all these years she's nothing more than a buzzing gnat, waiting to pick on his hard work.

She'd get her fill. Just not of you.

A tired sigh escapes him and you still don’t hear it over the sounds of creaking metal. Caleb wasn’t much of a bleeding heart, quite the opposite if you consider his track record - but you weren’t any match for him at the minute, nor had you banged him upside the head with a flashlight. He could spare you a minute or two.

He clinks the tip of the Redeemer against the generators top and you fall back away from it with a startled shriek, raising your medkit in a manner that was supposed to intimidate him. To mimic a weapon not unlike his own. He rasps, a laugh so thick and cloying like the drag of chains that you cant help but wince. What a sweet, naïve little thing you were.

"Keep your bloomers on, girl." He sniffs, gruff and firm. His voice rattling like an old cage from underuse. "Watch. Like this."

You hold your breath when he grows closer - they'd told you to run, those others. Run or die. Have your innards paving the path like a sick and bloody esplanade. Yet it leaves your mind once you catch a whiff of him. Leather, tarry and riddled with smoke but unmistakeably human. There's an all too familiar warmth coming from him too, layered behind all of those old fashioned garments.

He seems all too real to be as much of a monster Meg had made him out to be. At least, you think that was her name. You didn't quite catch it.

He twists on a few gears, tugs on a few wires - making it seem almost embarrassingly easy in comparison to your earlier attempts - before pulling back and nodding his head at you. A little gesture as if to say your turn, little lady.

Yes, sir. You almost mutter, heat bleeding into your cheeks as you slide in front of the gen, ever thankful that it hides your frazzled face.

You mimic his motions, treating the generator gently, with smooth and practiced movements. It purrs at you, humming to life as if pleased instead of sparking angrily in your face and coating your forearms in oily drool. You feel a sense of pride and undeniable elation swell in your chest, clapping your hands together and squealing with unabashed joy until you remember that a supposed murderer is standing right there.

He snorts, peering down at you like a curious predator, humouring prey before before he suddenly snaps you up into his jaws. Yet he simply marvels, clicking his jaw idly as you shuffle forward and shove your medkit into his arms as a form of thanks, bolting as if he might choose you instead of your peace offering.

Strange, but sweet. He'd be seeing more of you soon enough, girl.

🎡 hobby headcanons for Evan, Anna, Caleb and Charlotte!

Caleb - Other than tinkering and inventing Caleb does enjoy a good puzzle and riddle. In modern times he's def the type of grandpa who would do the daily crossward and shit. Suduko as well but he get's a little more frustrated with that numbers and math have a complex relationship with Caleb. He also enjoys tasting alcohol from all over the world and across time here in the fog. You bring him a new drink/rare one and he'll be inclined to entertain whatever you got going on. Anna - OH ANNA....My scary russian lady enjoys sewing and "motherly" task. She creates masks and dolls from various materials she can scavenge from the foggy realms. She's made a couple things for Victor! Though he tends to chew and eat most everything but he does seem to enjoy the tiny masks she makes. Other than that her hobby his hunting she enjoys finding and learning about how the various odd deformed creatures of the fog act and behave.

Charlotte - Scavenging and watching. She has found a beaten up thumb piano and plays it in secret for her brother. She kind of has a similar thing with Aerial she enjoys finding objects in the fog and wondering what they where made for and used for coming up with whatever name for them. She also enjoys cooking! She may not know a lot of complex stuff but Charlotte is very good at making nothing taste like something. And using ingredients most would over look. Singing is also a very private and secret thing she holds for just her brother. Evan - You would never catch him but if you look closely around the macmillian maps you can find tiny carved pictures of animals and such hidden away on trees and those giant spools. He has taken up wood carving lately to sate his creative desires as its very easy to just get ride of them. He also enjoys honing and creating new traps him and Amanda used to have a sort of friendship but due to "creative" differences it's more of a rivalry now just a small one. If Evan wasn't such a hermit in his tucked away cabin he would honestly probably also hunt as a hobby similar to Anna but he tends to ignore the creature of the fogs at best except for the stray ones that enters his traps.

SFW Alphabet Ask Meme for Surviving the Game Deathslinger

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?) Caleb is a master at giving compliments, but he doesn't give them out often. When he does, you'll know he means every word of it. Otherwise, his affections are shown subtly in day to day activities. The way he watches you, or smiles slightly when he knows you're looking but thinks he doesn't. That's just for you.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?) Hard working and not afraid to get dirty, Caleb appreciates people with the same attitude. You'll know he's starting to consider you a friend when he offers you a cup of coffee or whiskey and invites you to sit down with him.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?) Caleb isn't used to cuddling. Most of his time has been spent on the back of a horse or sleeping on the hard ground. If you do manage to find a good spot to cuddle though, he'll wrap an arm around you and hold you close. It gets cold out there at night after all.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?) Settling down has never been in the cards for the Deathslinger. Bounty hunting was a hard life, one he wasn't expecting to come out of alive. He can cook pretty well, but only over a campfire. Put him in front of a stove and chances are he'll burn the house down. Caleb cleans selectively. Some things are better with a good coat of dust after all.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?) Although he wouldn't mince words, he wouldn't try to be hurtful about it. He'd tell you the truth, attempt to end things peacefully, then move on with his life.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?) Commitment is incredibly important to Caleb, but marriage is a young man's game. He's fine with having a steadfast partner, but don't expect him to ever allow the government to get involved.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?) Although he's lived a rough life, Caleb knows how to use his hands softly. Tinkering and inventing isn't all about hitting something with a hammer. Living the way he did taught him a lot about reading people. Able to gauge peoples moods with a glance, he often uses it to his advantage. Whether or not he's trying to bait you into a fight will determine how gentle he is with his words...

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?) Caleb has never been much of a hugger. The only time you should be getting that close to someone is to stab them or pick their pocket. But for his partner? He'll make an exception.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?) Caleb has never been much of a talker, preferring show over tell. But when he does finally say it, it'll be in a quiet moment where it's just the two of you.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?) Caleb has seen too many good men do stupid things while giving in to jealousy. Although he may not get jealous often, when he does he tends to take a step back and examine the issue before proceeding. He's absolutely still going to shoot his rival, but he'll make sure he doesn't do it in a spur of the moment fit of rage.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss their partner? Where do they like to be kissed?) Gentle at first, but he can get rough when he starts getting into it. Caleb has a preference for using his hands more than his mouth, but he enjoys kissing along the inside of his partners legs if he's going to. He doesn't mind being kissed, but along his collarbone is the sweet spot.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?) Although he's not interested in being a father, he knows how to interact with kids. He doesn't mind them, but he's not afraid to be stern with them if they starting misbehaving.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?) Up with the sun and usually found tinkering with something over a strong cup of coffee.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?) Up late drinking around a fire or playing poker. Don't play cards with him he cheats

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?) Not one to talk just to fill the silence, it might take some digging on your part to get him to open up. He's not trying to be cagey, he just isn't used to sharing.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?) Caleb isn't difficult to anger, but he knows how to keep his cool. At least... most of the time.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about their partner? Do they remember every little detail they mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?) Caleb makes it a habit to remember little things. Actions speak louder than words, and giving his partner something he knows they'll like it one of his main ways to show his affection.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in their relationship?) The first time you made something with him. It didn't matter if it worked perfectly or blew up spectacularly. All that matters is that you had a hand in making something new, together.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect their partner? How would they like to be protected?) Caleb doesn't believe in leaving a man behind, but for his partner, he'll fight an army alone with one arm tied behind his back. Unlike many of the others, Caleb is used to (and even prefers) fighting together. As long as you've got his back, he's happy.

Oh boy, do I play Dead by Daylight. Multiple times a week. Much like how I muse the ghouls, I also muse a couple of characters from the game. But that's not what's being asked.

I enjoy the game for the most part. The only time I don't is when people are going out of their way to either get an easy kill, being fucking rude in game, and post game chat, shit like that. The community is, uh, mixed! To put it lightly. So I sit in my corner, with my couple of friends I play with, and enjoy shrieking as a white man jump scares me.

Love Letter Aftermath

First part

The realization of receiving a love admission sinks in for the killers

Characters: Oni, Trapper, Deathslinger, Mastermind, Cannibal, Ghostface Warnings: Some spice Male!reader

The Oni - Kazan Yamaoka

He's angry

Angry at you for giving him that damn letter

And angry at himself for keeping it

He keeps it on his shrine

Even while he tries to distract himself with training between trials, your letter is all that's on his mind

At least once a day, for a couple of minutes, he stares at the letter while working up the courage to crumple it and dispose of it

He never can

When Rin found the letter, his heat sunk

She thought it was cute, but rolled her eyes at how Kazan was acting

The days following the letter, you've noticed in trials with Oni, he never downs you with his Kanabo anymore, only his Katana

Even during chases, when he's activated his blood fury right behind you, he stampedes off somewhere to down anyone else

And when he carries you to hooks, you've noticed how gently he holds you

But he never stays after hooking you and seems to avoid your gaze

Strangely, Rin has been giving you some leeway during trials as well

The Trapper - Evan MacMillan

When he got back to his realm after the trial, he immediately went to work on making a box for the letter

Yeah, a whole keepsake box for a single letter

He places it next to the box where he keeps his old drawings

Whenever he sees you in trials, he still gets those butterflies

If you step in one of his traps, he's immediately rushing to where he heard you scream

If he sees any other survivors trying to free you, he swats at them

Evan gently pulls at the jaw of the trap and pulls it apart, letting you retract your injured foot

He's trying his hardest not to ogle your legs

"Sorry," he mutters gruffly, his hands holding your leg softly while he inspects the damage

He picked up some gauze that one of the others dropped and begins to bandage your wound

He can feel your gaze burning holes into his mask as he works

He's the one to break the silence

"I've killed you... and your friends, over and over."

There's a long pause on your end before you respond

"I know"

You two leave it at that

The Deathslinger - Caleb Quinn

Caleb keeps the letter under the bar counter in his realm

Whenever he returns from an exhausting or lost trial, he looks at it

A small part of him still thinks you're messing with him

He's way too nervous and skittish around you now to do anything, so you're gonna have to initiate everything

In trials, you do your best to spend time with him

Especially when you insist that he treats you no different

When he carries you to hook, you take the moment to touch him

You turn your head to plant a kiss on the back of his neck

Caleb visibly shivers and lets out a groan

"Yer tryin' ta kill me, ain'tcha?"

"Is it working?"

Despite you asking otherwise, he tends to leave you alone when he can in trials, opting to hide the others

If you confront him about it, he'll deny it

The Mastermind - Albert Wesker

He keeps your letter in the inner pocket of his jacket

You definitely have his full attention now

Don't expect any special treatment, because he's not gonna give it

In fact, he seems to actively seek you out first if he knows you're in his trial

Wesker gets angry when you can't loop him for more than a couple of minutes

"Are you even trying? Pathetic"

While carrying you to a hook, he's lecturing you all the way

"You didn't run it tight enough. You were too greedy with the pallet. You didn't check your blind spots."

He'll get even more irritated if you start to tear up

Can't you see he's trying to help you?

Wesker refuses to have someone so vulnerable as an admirer

So you better get to it

If you do manage to improve and become better in trials, his attitude changes

It goes from scoldings to rewards

He takes off his gloves to hold your chin and pull you close

You feel his lips ghost over your cheek and shiver when he tightens his grip on you

He stares at your face, drinking up your reactions

And then he lets you go, watching as your face twists from dazed to confused

"What? Were you expecting a kiss?"

You're gonna have to do a lot more if you wanna get a smooch from him

The Cannibal - Bubba Sawyer

He tapped your letter to the side of his chainsaw

He gets all giddy when he glances at it during his sweeps, especially if he manages to down a survivor

It's his good luck charm

If he spots you in a trial, he'll literally drop everything to rush over and give you hug

Bubba would honestly hug you all trial if you let him

He's definitely become a bit more protective over you, maybe even prone to jealousy

He doesn't even let anyone work on gens with you, revving his chainsaw if anyone gets too close

Once everyone gets the message and leaves you two be, he'll sit behind you as you work and hug you

Expect lots of nuzzles

Bubba whines when the gen is completed and you have to stand up to find a new one

He follows you like a puppy until you find the next one and the process begins anew

The Ghostface - Danny Johnson

Danny doesn't really have anywhere he can store the letter safely

So he does the logical thing and memorizes it's contents, word for word

He doesn't care what happens to the paper

Sometimes during trials, he'll tease you by reciting it during chases

Even adding things you're certain you never added

"And I promise to always let you smash whenever and wherever you want," he says, mimicking your voice as you dangle from the hook

"I NEVER WROTE THAT!!"

Being her favorite, The Entity doesn't care if Danny spares you every trial

But he won't

Because he's a meanie

"No hard feelings, right boo?" He coos as he plunges his blade into your back

If you're sore about it, he's more than happy to make it up to you

He'll run his cold leather-gloved hands under your shirt, pressing you against a wall as you try to stay angry

"Come on, don't be like that," he mutters into your ear, squishing your sides

If you fold now, he'll tease you for being whipped

But if you stay strong, he'll pull out the big guns

He buries his masked face into your neck, slowly grinding his hips against yours

"You feel that, baby? You feel how sorry I am?" He growls, pressing his hard-on against you

When Their Reader S/O Gets Hurt

Deathslinger, Doctor, Knight

Deathslinger

Caleb loves you dearly.

And he'll tell you that everyday.

You're his greatest treasure.

And he wants you to know that you can rely on him.

But he also wants to make sure you aren't overly reliant on him.

Don't get him wrong! He'll always be there for you.

But he doesn't want you to become too dependent.

"What if somethin' were ta happen and I wasn't around darlin'?"

He wants to know that you're able to fend for yourself if need be.

So, if you fall and get hurt don't expect them to run up to you and coddle you.

Unless you're seriously injured, Caleb expects self-dependency from you.

You're an adult, you know how to take care of yourself.

He can't see himself with someone who's overly needy or overdramatic.

The table is completely turn if somebody is hurting you though.

If it's someone he thinks you can handle by yourself, he'll stand back but be on guard.

Heck, he'll be super proud if you knock that person out.

"He's all bark and no bite. Ya show em' darlin'"

Full on cheering you on from the sidelines.

If it's someone he knows for a fact you can't handle, he'll step in.

Caleb's a smart man, he knows you can't take on someone like Micheal or Kazan on your own.

He has his spear gun pointed in their face the moment they lay a hand on you.

"Ya think about this. Ya lay a hand on them and I'll shoot this here gun so far down your throat you won't know what hit ya."

"Now get."

He can be very intimidating when he wants to be.

And he wants to be intimidating for you. Because he would never want anything to happen to you.

Doctor

Herman can be detached from situations at times.

Very rarely is he out with you.

He spends the majority of his time in his lab or in trials.

He never considered the possibility of someone hurting you.

One, because he's too busy with his latest experiment or torture.

Two, because he sees you as such a nice and wholesome person that hurting you is out of the question.

Anyone who's willing to love him is either insane or an angel.

And he knows you're not insane. He's tested it.

So when you came to his lab all beat up, he was beyond shocked.

Like, at a loss for words shocked.

He's not crying, but it almost looks like he might.

He feels incredibly guilty and stupid for not being there for you.

And for thinking the beasts of the realm would be able to appreciate someone like you.

This will send him into an unbelievable spiral of rage.

Sparks will literally be radiating off of him because he is so angry.

He'll patch you up the best he can, then leave without another word.

Herman will be back in about an hour or so with said person who hurt you.

Well, at least with their head and maybe several other limbs.

He won't tell you what he did. Just assuming isn't pleasant.

He will give you the head as a get well soon gift, because he thinks that makes everything better.

He might be a genius but he has the emotional intelligence of a goldfish.

But you can't deny the gesture (albeit gruesome) is sweet.

And he'd only do it for you.

Knight

Things were often quiet in the saloon outside of trials, minus the odd tumbleweed skittering past or the shrill cry of the vultures perched outside - waiting for more feed, more death. They often trailed Caleb while he made his rounds, intelligent creatures that had memorised the esplanade of blood that followed him.

He was well used to the quiet. A silence had fell over him long before before the Entity's embrace, a mute, dull rage broiling under the surface.

The day moved slowly with the absence of a trial - or at least it did, before the tentative keys of the saloon's piano began to toll. Not many of the other executioners often came through to his realm, and the break in quiet was surely enough to spark a tad of interest within Caleb.

The piano was a rickety old thing, sanded down all improper and chock full of splinters, and it had been a long time since anyone had given the instrument time of day. Your fingers, soft and unmarred with such delicate skin, glide over the wood in marvel, a tender gesture opposed to the usual aggressive flashlight blinding Caleb was used to.

He watches from the doorway with his finger hooked over the Redeemer's trigger, ever silent as not to disturb you while you play. A tune he wasn't familiar with, and it was clear your fingers were stumbling as you tried to recall the right notes, yet it was still the sweetest damn thing he'd heard in a while.

Caleb could kill you where you sat. Spear your back and disembowel you, scatter your guts across the dust like chicken feed for the vultures. But he didn't, there was no place for violence outside of those trials - not in his bar, anyways. He lowers the Redeemer, a rasp on his lips that startles you to his presence.

Poor thing. You jump away from the piano like it singed your fingertips, mashing the wrong key and scaring a crow from the window that had come to watch you play. You look like you want to run, a fox with it's hackles raised when it spots a stalking wolf.

But you don't. And Caleb approves. Locking eyes with you for one tense moment before he simply walks off, the sound of his heavy boots on wood fading out as he goes on to continue his rounds of the gallows.

After he is done with them he will go to you. Does he like seeing you cry? Yes but he doesn't like the way it happened

He is gonna indirectly apologize and tease you for your tears, but when you back at the camp he'll hold you in his arms

Shocked that it happened then it quickly turns to anger, he grits his teeth and shouts at the survivor

He is not having it, he knows you'll be okay so he goes to get the survivor before checking on you

The survivor is tortured and then left to die on the floor

He'll focus on the round and when you get back to the camp that's when he'll check on you and make sure there are no hard feelings

Oooh, I really liked that killers with a S/O who has a particular perk! May I ask for a reader whose perk is to be able to hide very well/slip away easely? As in, they are quite small and so they can crouch and slip through spaces other survivors can't to go unnotinced! Maybe the killer in question struggles to hook them because they keep slipping from his grasp, but reader never mocks him or anything and just runs away until the end of the trial where they leave an item behind as an apology (Hillbilly, Cannibal, Oni and Deathslinger, if it's not too much trouble! The Hillbilly/Max Thompson Jr with a slippery survivor

Max is good at hunting his prey, and he usually finds them quite easily.

But there’s always one person he struggles to catch. You.

Just when he thinks he’s gotten you cornered, you slip away somewhere. It’s really frustrating! How can you find that many cracks and nooks to sneak off into? 

And his chainsaw can’t do shit once you’re out of sight again. Sure, he can saw through the wooden walls and search for you, but you’re never there.

It’s as if you disappear from the face of the earth.

One time, after a trial had ended and you, as the last survivor left, had probably escaped through the hatch, he had found something. He was going back into his house when he saw something in the mud of the cornfield. 

A necklace. Shiny, must have been made of real gold.

Max had picked it up and examined it, a smile slowly growing on his lips. He knew you wore this kind of necklace, you must have either dropped it or left it here for him to find.

And his heart pointed towards the latter.

The Cannibal/Bubba Sawyer with a slippery survivor

Bubba isn’t the best tracker (it must be hard to see anything through that mask of his), but once he finds someone they won’t get away.

Except you, you always manage to get away somehow.

Be it a dark nook you can slip into, a hole that is perfectly shaped for you, or you simply just wiggle out of his grasp just as he’s about to put you on a hook.

You’re usually gone in seconds, he never has a chance to find you again.

This pains him greatly, you know that. He shrieks and yells in annoyance and anger, waving his chainsaw around in the air when he can’t find you anymore.

It almost makes you feel a bit bad.

A bit, only a bit. Enough to make you want to make it up to him somehow.

Not through sacrificing yourself though, gods no! But sometimes you leave behind small gifts for him to find.

It can be anything, really. A nice can you found in the cornfields, a bracelet that was buried in the mud. One time, you left a doll inside the house in the cornfields, knowing he would find it there after the trial.

You can only hope your little gestures are appreciated.

The Oni/Kazan Yamaoka with a slippery survivor

Kazan is a great tracker. Always has been.

He can smell blood a mile away, and see it as clear as red, shimmering pearls on the ground.

Naturally, prey have a hard time hiding from him once he has injured them.

And yet, there’s one he just can’t seem to ever catch.

This prey just vanishes from his sight the second he has injured them. It’s like they don’t even bleed! Sure, he can find trails of blood here and there, but it never leads him anywhere.

It drives him mad! If you’re in a trial these days, he’s almost certain he’s gonna leave with only three kills. You always seem to find the hatch as well, so.

Sometimes, Kazan finds things.

Things in places it’s never occurred to him to look before, but when he does he always finds a surprise.

It can be a hair tie, or even something of great worth, like a ring or earring. 

Once he found a little crocheted doll, with black buttons for eyes.

He doesn’t know where these things appear from, but something tells him they appear from the same source that so easily disappears. And that thought is a bit amusing to him, it almost brings a smile to his lips at times.

The Deathslinger/Caleb Quinn with a slippery survivor

Caleb is a proud man, that much you know.

He hates losing, and losing is exactly what he does these days whenever you’re in a trial.

His swearing can be almost amusing at times, when you peek out from a hiding place and see him frantically search for you. He never finds you, and eventually gives up.

You’ve lost count of all the times you’ve gotten the hatch.

All that being said, you make sure to never taunt him. 

You don’t want to rub it in his face, he’s only doing his job here. And so are you. It’s nothing personal.

During the last trial, you had decided to try something a bit different. You had been tinkering on things at the campfire for a while, your latest project was carving a butter knife out of a piece of wood.

It wasn’t particularly pretty, but you liked it.

You had decided to leave it behind for Caleb to find, as a little gift for all his troubles catching you. 

So, you had left it inside the Dead Dawg Saloon, at the bar. Then, you had hid.

When the rest of the gang had escaped, and Caleb eventually got back to the saloon with heavy steps, he had found it.

You had watched as he had taken the butter knife in his hand, weighed it (why would you weigh a butter knife??) and examined it.

He planned to just walk up to you while you were trying to fix the generator and attack you, but he stopped when he saw how you were distracted from fixing it every time there was a rustle, crows cawing or something else. Because of this, you were constantly making mistakes while fixing the generator. It even started to seem funny to him. He didn't know the reason why you were acting like that, but he was interested in watching you

When you started chatting, he found out that the reason for your behavior was that you were hyperactive. It was difficult for you to focus on completing tasks and sometimes it seemed that you were distracted even during conversations. Kenneth liked to watch how quickly you switched your attention, but he wouldn't let you near his bottles, not knowing what might happen

When you were on the same trials, he was watching you. He laughed at you, seeing how you were distracted once again. Your comrades took advantage of the fact that he was easier to spot when you were around, but that didn't mean he was going to spare them. He was the only one who made allowances for you, giving you a head start so that you could run away a little

Clown enjoyed spending time with you. For the first time in a long time in his life, there was a person who was next to him, who stopped being afraid of him and who he really liked. When Caleb first saw you, he was surprised. You tried your best to fix the generator, but every time you were distracted by some rustle or the screams of your comrades in the distance. Because of this, you made mistakes and got injured. When you got closer, you told him that the reason for this was your hyperactivity

You often kept him company at Glenvale. When you didn't have to run away from anyone and fix generators, it was much calmer there and if you close your eyes to some things, it was even beautiful there. You were sitting next to Caleb when he was calibrating his weapon or wandering around the saloon, studying what was interesting there. You often asked Cable different questions to find out more about this place. Caleb loved watching you quickly shift your attention from one thing to another

Deathslinger couldn't help you during trials. He saw how hard you tried, but he understood that if he helped you, it would only make it harder for you to live, because the survivors would be sure that you were a traitor. Therefore, all he could do was deliberately let you escape, as if that was the way it was supposed to be and he had no hidden reasons

Caleb enjoyed spending time with you. He hadn't been this close to anyone in a long time. He understood that you would not be together forever, because this world was so unpredictable. That's why Caleb spent time with you while he could. Your hyperactivity was a sweet part of you, and even when you were distracted, he knew you weren't doing it on purpose

He didn't like it when something else caught your attention

Because of your hyperactivity, it was difficult for you to survive during trials, but Trickster always gave in to you a little, pretending not to notice you, while you tried your best to focus on fixing the generator, but you were distracted and made mistakes because of it. However, when you were alone, he liked it when your attention was focused on him. That's why when your attention turned to something else, he made sure that you only looked at him

When he was sure that you weren't listening to him, he would sit you down next to you and look you in the eye, whispering something to you in Korean. You didn't know Korean, so you didn't understand what he was saying, but your attention returned to him, which made him smile contentedly. Ji-Woon liked how cute you blushed when he got your attention

Trickster liked to get the attention of others, and especially yours. Your hyperactivity wasn't a problem for him, because he knew how to get your attention back. At other times, your hyperactivity even seemed nice to him. He liked watching you get distracted from what you were doing over and over again
