Hello lovely, I know I wrote you a lovely letter recently during your own love fest but I still wanted to pop in and say hi and spread some more love and give some hugs.

So, just to reiterate what I’ve said a million times before:

Thank you so much for sharing your work with us and for being so awesome and supportive. It’s so beautiful to have people like you in our fandom who do so much to help uplift others and stay positive. Honestly, idk how you do it sometimes, this world can be so nasty and whenever things kinda go sideways you’re always there with the just right thing to say to bring that little spark of hope back. For me at least.

Your post about the show yesterday really hit me hard bc I was feeling pretty low and it’s just nice to know that we have such passionate fans who are willing to stick around and keep this fandom running, even if we don’t get our show back.

Awwww lovely, this is so extremely kind of you to say. And I'm glad you found comfort in that post. Truthfully, I do still circle through all the stages of grief in losing OFMD. Some days are better than others. I know everyone handles it differently — some people go full clown, others prefer to accept that it's over for good. We've all got to do whatever is best for our mental health. For me, that does mean keeping a bit of hope alive. That spark, no matter how faint it may be at times, is what keeps me going. I lose hope, I'm just straight into the abyss.

But hope doesn't just happen. You do have to nurture it. I've gotten much more protective of my fandom space since the cancellation. We live in a reality where it's very likely we will never get more canonical content for this show. Fandom is the only guarantee we have left, and even that will only last so long as we tend to it with love.

Because of that, it's just not fun to me to be a hater, or to spend time dwelling on the parts of the show/fandom that I dislike or wish would be different. It's just not interesting to me and, frankly, I think nearly every round of discourse we get is just a weak rehash of discourse we've been through a dozen times already and that's very boring to me. So I just don't engage. I block and filter liberally. If shit starts getting to me, I log off and come back when I'm ready.

I prefer to spend my time celebrating all the art and fic and meta that comes out of this fandom, or sharing fun head canons, or laughing at shitposts. And I have very selfish reasons for doing that because usually that inspires people to do MORE of it, so I get to enjoy it even MORE, even when I'm busy or emotionally drained and can't offer much myself.

It's a common phrase that you get out of fandom what you put into it, and I do think that's true, but I also think it's only half of the equation. I think you also get out of fandom what you take out of it. And so that's why I spend my time in places and with people that spark joy and creativity and love, because that fuels my own, and that's what keeps my spark of hope burning. That's what encourages me to continue sharing my love for the show and all the fans, because I see it in so many others. And if anybody or anything gets in the way of that? Fuck'em. They serve no purpose to me and are in fact counterproductive to the reason I'm in this fandom at all. Fare thee well.

And so when I see you going around spreading kindness, and dropping these really thoughtful notes in people's inboxes, and reaching out to people who are struggling, and leaving really sweet replies on posts and the BEST comments on fics? That's IT. That's what fandom is. That's the whole heart of it. That's what gives me hope. That's what keeps me going. That's what keeps me out of the abyss.

So thank YOU for all that you do, thank you for showing your love for the show, thank you for showing your love to the fans. That's why we're still here. And that's the only way we'll continue to be here years upon years after the Revenge sets sail for the final time. 💕

i have no idea what the abandoned carnival au is but I 100% support rambling so here's your opportunity to ramble about whatever you wanna say about it!

(and if you're like me and can't answer non-specific questions here's some for ya:

WHAAAAG I LOVE YOU MINUTE/P !!!!! ok no one would really know much abt the carnival au because I haven't mentioned it really um haha. I did draw the moon for this au in Sundays daycare magma so yay if you need a face to the name you have one!

urm let's see here. so, for moon, I think his worst flaw is being unable to communicate properly. He struggles to keep things happy, he really does bring things down a lot and that's a flaw pushed on him by the process of his paranormal creation. what who said that.

sun's worst problem is his pride. he refuses to admit when he's wrong and he refuses to TALK about whatever he was wrong about. he's a 'drop it, I don't want to talk about this' kinda guy. he's a professional ghoster, if I do say so myself. totally not a pun linked to his paranormal creation. whaaat who keeps saying these things??? seriously this is crazy!!!

moon doesn't MEAN to push people away, he was made to operate a carousel, not make friends. But if he knows that someone is worth keeping ther, dedicated to staying with him, he can be soso clingy. he still has to rely on others though, otherwise he can't run, just like a music box. Sun has major people person energy, but he still gets so overwhelmed. He took on over 5 jobs around the entire carnival, between both entertainment and upkeep. so he has an overall energetic personality, bit when he burns out he burns out HARD. this makes him often irritable or overbearing for a lot of people, but he balanced it out between him and moon.

the fire. whenever the carnival closed down for the night. the missing kids. what happened to everybody else around here?

no, nothing much.

they really CANT get out much anymore, they've really tied down their roots since the place stopped moving from town to town way back in '47! furthermore, they cannot really talk to much of anybody but each other! and moon hasn't been wound up since the carnival wasn't needed anymore! that's why sun was SOOO happy when a human- you - showed up! can you believe it? moon enjoys your company too, but someone can only spend 60+ years in solitude for oh so long! can you imagine not aging, because you're nothing more than a puppet- a doll inside the puppet?? oh, he has so many things to show you!!! you're quite nice, probably not well suited to hang around such a guy all down in the dumps all the time! not that moon complains, having someone willing to care so much about him just the same- isn't that COOL??

Sun wasn't always supposed to take over all these other jobs. He used to be happier, calmer. I wonder what made him so tense. He's always stuck in a nervous state, no matter how happy he is around you. Moon wasn't always sad- he used to be a happy and mischievous guy that would even dance along to his music. hard to believe how broken down the tunes of the calliope have gotten.

Sorry for the late response ! A lot going on and I wanted to give you SOME kind of visual so I hope this doodle is enough for the time being

I don't necessarily have like a set outfit for her, but I imagine a lot of the stuff she wears is easy to move around in, she'd also be fine with dresses and the like too as long as they are restricting. She MAY cut her hair more down the line but for now she keeps it long.

As for dynamics waaah this might get long let's see

First and foremost she adores them all, obvs, and as things level out and the boys get a bit less clingy after just losing their father their dynamics start differing a bit.

Leo's actually cautious at times, since he sees Karai as an authority figure he often tries to toe the line of what frustrates her and what doesn't by trying different pranks or different jokes. He's a bit surprised to see how easily she goes along with his nonsense (she's very used to it from a lot of the teens that joined the clan). She has her limits, of course, especially when tired, but she eventually finds a good way to tell Leo when she's not in the mood. She lets him explain a lot of comic books to her, and he eventually tries to introduce her to some manga (she doesn't like a ton of it but she gets into some shonen)

Donnie overwhelms her a bit at first, mainly because a lot of the stuff he talks about is a bit out of her scope of understanding. But after seeing her rub her temples for the 18th time he tries to find simpler ways to explain his tech, and ends up becoming the person she goes to first when she finds something new that Cassandra can't explain fully. She watches him build from time to time too, and Karai becomes the person Donnie really confides in when he's getting insecure or frustrated with his mystic abilities.

Mikey and Karai gel together really well between their kind natures, though like Leo Karai sometimes has to communicate when she's getting too worn out because Mikey has SO much energy. Their alone time is often spent going over family stories or even working on a massive family tree that Mikey started to make. Sometimes he tries to illustrate stuff she talks about. Mikey also goes to her a lot for mystic training (along with Draxum) so in a matter of months this boy is gonna be summoning ghosts to go on the attack probably. Oh! She also loves to show Mikey recipes too, based on meals she often ate.

Karai and Raph spar a lot (along with Casey often) and she's glad he's so insistent cause it keeps her in shape. She has a lot of catching up to do after being sealed for 500 years. They honestly get a lost closer after the events of the movie though, as she ends up being the person Raph leans on the most due to all the Big Brother stress and the whole being possessed thing. Sometimes the fam will find him laying on the floor with his head in Karai's lap.

As for Carol she's... rolling with things pretty easily by this point. She already got hit with the instant whammy of "Splinter died. His kids are all mutant turtles. And also I've been fighting crime with them for months." And when things got wilder she's just like "Well that's freaking crazy. Moving on." The stress of watching her daughter fly around with magic powers and weapons can sometimes start getting to her, but at least she can scream about it with Karai and Draxum from time to time.

Also a fun tidbit about Karai being alive and in the modern era, eventually Cassandra finds out Karai is bi and asks if she wants to try dating again and Karai is like I guess??? Anyway girl's trip to the club. (I lowkey want Karai to find a gf but ? I have no ideas for designs atm so I'll leave it there)

He really shouldn't have- what the fuck was he thinking? Doing something as pathetic as this? But he just couldn't take it anymore. He really couldn't. Oh the things only you could do to him. He really didn't deserve you, did he? Flashing memories blotted his vision. Your coworkers constantly taking up the space around you. As if they deserved to be by your side. Deserved your precious attention. Something even he was self aware enough to know was too good for him. The fleeting touches. The subtle glances at you. The wary looks they gave him when he came near. All the things they must have been whispering to you about him. And how you didn't seem to notice the obvious scorn towards him, how they were trying to manipulate you. To bring the both of you apart. The rising fear that they might hurt you. It all coagulated together. Forming a sick, blistering poison in Xavier's heart. A suffocating pressure squeezing every last shred of rationality out of his husk of a body. A feeling he just couldn't push down any longer. He just couldn't let you go.

It's so selfish- He knows. The guilt burrowing into the marrow of his bones. But after everything... all of the loneliness. The isolation- Couldn't he just have this? Couldn't he have you? You so kind. Too kind for your own good, really. So precious, and patient, and oh so perfect- The first time Xavier had met you, your cheerful smile and clear eyes had captivated him instantly. But his heart was truly yours once you showed him what an open-minded and attentive person you were.

And he knew he didn't deserve you from that moment onward. Xavier looked down at your sleeping body, in his guest bed. Well... it was your bed now. He... he couldn't let you go after what he'd done. He hoped that you'd forgive him. No no no... he knew you'd forgive him. He was just protecting you after all. From the people who wanted to separate you from him, from the people who could hurt you, from this damned town full of untrustworthy snakes- Xavier would make it up to you. You'd see. He would spoil you with gifts, comfort you whenever you felt sad, provide you the warmth, care, and comfort you needed. He would give you his all. Cradling you in his arms; peppering soft, affectionate kisses on your forehead. Your heartbeats intertwined.

He just wanted you to stay here, with him, where you would be safe and happy.
