it's over...
i finished beyblade burst quadstrike...
*deep breath*
it's yap time...
for starters, while many go "oh they're just milking it for profit"
im lactose intolerant but that doesn't stop me from eating it all up
i also got 40 cents in my wallet and cry everytime i look at the price of beyblades
doesn't stop me from enjoying the show
cuz i just watch it for the plot
(the plot in question-)
Tumblr media
theres a lot of controversy abt quadstrike because it's not canon but i also think it's not that bad
i only watch beyblade for a certain blonde boy and the only reason i binged quadstrike in a day was to see him for one frame of the last episode
anyways
I think pax and pri were pretty good characters
and the ending was really satisfying, seeing valt battling belll and all the other characters watching them from around the world
i think Rantaro should've had more of a comeback, Phi, Hyde, and Payne are definetely related
I liked how they brought back Ken and Xander and the other mcs from previous seasons, BUT I WANTED TO SEE MORE FREE DE LA HOYA AND SILAS AND KRIS FOR THE LOVE OF BEYBALDE-
OKAY-
Kris and Wakiya should've worked together as these tournament commisioners.
Ashtem should've returned and Pax shoudl've been the "red eye" of quadstrike
more free de la hoya content please-
who was the blue haired kid----
idk, maybe some reference for another not-canon series or beyblade x
i really wanna find the manga- somebody help
I FREAKING NEED MORE BEYBLADE CONTENT *screams*
*insert more yapping*
Hyuga is autistic.
once again, so happy to see old faces like toko, nika, fubuki, suoh, cuza, clio, zac, akira, diago and his bro bro, rantaro, FREAKING KRIS, lui, gabe, ukyo, quon, so on and so forth-- and just-- It makes my heart happy
im satisfied with how it ended
not satisfied with how other seasons were like how free should've been #1 blader forever- but he doesn't have plot armor and gets nerfed every season....
i just
I just really like seeing htem all
im gonna start bawling
i really need an autism diagnosis so i can throw it at takara tomy and beg them to make more beyblade burst content.
should i watch beyblade x? is free de la hoya in it? no, so that means no.
guess im gonna write more fanfiction
anyways. im still confused as to why bell emphasized dynamite battle system as using significantly lighter beys just to plop on a bunch of armor layers that make it heavier.
but that's dyanamite battle things.
Pri is transgender. no cap.
catboy ken midori. this whole time i thought keru was a cat
xander is transgender. on valtryek
everyone in the series is either gay, autistic, transgender, or all of the above or some mix of both.
actually all the girls are lesbians but not autistic or trans except Pri, Akira, and the other mohawk person with orange and purple hair-
like you can not tell me that Illya is not a lesbian- RASHAD GOODMAN IS A FREAKING LESBIAN. HE GOES AROUND WEARING A FROGGING LESBIAN FLAG I CANT.

Ok @meowstix I know I'm probably not who this was meant for, but I'll do it. Also it's not an essay but but ramblings that I divided into sections. None of these are really worthy of an analysis post on their own so I took the opportunity to put them all here together
Also, I misread the tag and thought it said 3000 word essay. I was approaching 2k words when I saw that. Oops
Kai wanted to destroy his opponent
Kai, at first, wishes to utterly destroy opponents. A character like Reiji embodies this to the extreme, feeling physical pain if his opponent doesn't suffer. Kai's sadism doesn't come from a deep desire to witness others suffering, but rather from a need to feel stronger than his opponents. This peaks with Black Dranzer, which appeals very specifically to Kai's hatred of losses. In this sense, he's closer to Red Eye, who sides with the villain because he can't stand feeling powerless. Unlike certain characters with a "win at all costs" mentality (Barthez), Kai never even considers cheating. This is another similarity to Red Eye, who criticized Violet Eye for battling Wakiya in an unfair battlefield
This distinction between "destroy the opponent to show power" vs "destroy the opponent to make them suffer" is never really brought up in canon, but it clearly exists on a more meta level when looking at antagonists who fall into either category. The first includes Kai, Kyoya, Ryuga, Red Eye, Lui, and Rashad. What do they all have in common? They had times when they weren't villains. As for the second group, it includes Volkov (indirectly), Reiji, and Phi. Villains who fall under the second category don't tend to get redeemed in Beyblade
Kai's relationship with Tyson is the same as his relationship with beyblade itself
As Kai's relationship with Tyson progresses, so does Kai's view on blading. Tyson, especially in season 1, is defined by his outlook on the sport. For him, it's about fun more than anything (in stark contrast to both the Majestics and the Demolition Boys). Their battle in G-Rev was one that Kai thoroughly enjoyed, and is probably the biggest reason people ship these characters (because Kai acts coldly to most people, shippers don't have many choices). The obvious parallel here is Gingka's battle with Kyoya in the World Championship, where their love for the battle and desire to beat the other (without being a hero-villain situation) caused both of them to endanger themselves, get injured, and almost destroy their beys to continue the fight. Kai had no desire to destroy Tyson, he just wanted a good fight
At first, Kai considers Tyson to be naïve and immature due to his views on blading. When he agrees with Tyson's views, he changes his mind about Tyson. But other characters also battle for fun and he doesn't respect them (like Daichi). Why does he respect Tyson so much specifically? Because Tyson was the one to change his mind. Kai has a high opinion of himself, but recognizes when he's outclassed. Thus, if Kai is strong and Tyson is stronger, that means Tyson is very strong (aka being able to lift a heavy object is only as impressive as the object's weight)
Lack of villain loyalty
The number of times in Beyblade when a villain is betrayed by an underling is pretty high. Volkov, Zagart, Barthez, Doji, Ziggurat, Pluto, the Garcias, Ashtem, and Hyde all had underlings turn on them at one point (or more for Volkov and Doji). But what sets Kai's betrayal of Volkov apart?
Volkov was a piece of shit and everyone hated him. Volkov simply ruled with fear. This is similar to Barthez, Doji, and Ziggurat (with Zeo). Kai betrayed Volkov because, in short, he mustered up the courage to do what he always wanted. Kai is closest to the Barthez Battalion in his betrayal. The battle at the lake made Kai realize that a blader's strength comes from more than just the bey, and that gave him the confidence to stand up to Volkov
Kai was, for the most part before the Russia arc, on the protagonists' side. He had his own agenda, but his goals aligned with everyone else's enough that it was in his interest to team up. And he was only with Volkov for a few episodes before joining the heroes again. By making it so Kai never truly agreed with Volkov, it makes his return easier to digest. Had Kai acted more like Ryuga in Fusion, it would've taken far more time for the audience to accept his redemption. They basically half assed a villain on purpose because if they full assed it he might've been too much of a villain, and his "redemption arc" would risk coming off as underwhelming/ not enough (this isn't a post about Red Eye, but I should make one some time)
"Even if I win all my battles, if my teammates lose I'm eliminated"
This is a paraphrased quote from Kyoya in Metal Masters. It applies to Kai. Kai knows that in a best of 3, him winning his match might not make a difference. This is the primary reason, at first, why he wants his team to grow stronger. But in season 1, what started as a selfish reason evolved into a genuine connection. I guess Kai just got Stockholm Syndrome with the Bladebreakers
Oddly enough, this mentality fosters team spirit. It's counterintuitive, probably because it's often said by those who don't have faith in their team, but this mentality discourages having a single blader carry the whole team. We saw what happened with BC Sol in God due to relying too much on Free alone

Incorrect Dialogue: Top Gear AI -> Beyblade Burst - 2
More Top Gear AI dialogue turned into random blader scenarios. As if the first one wasn't enough. Obvious dialogue alterations to further fit the bladers and for humour.
Phi: This is the all new Vauxhall Corsa. It starts at 18 billion Zimbabwean Dollars, it has 7 horsepower and comes with all sorts of new gadgets.
*Phi gets into the car.*
Phi: Look at this! It already comes pre-installed with a Halfords racing spoiler for extra downforce in the Akabane farm.
*Phi drifts the car in front of Taiga Akabane and Kana Akabane.*
Phi: But here is the feature I think Corsa buyers will enjoy the most. If I push this button on the dashboard, a magnet activates and it starts to pull Aiger Akabane into the passenger seat.
*Aiger escapes the magnet and books it.*
Phi: I think Evel needs to work on this feature.
*Phi drives past a crashed car.*
Phi: I bet a tenner that's Hyde. Back to the Tower.
*Arthur sticks the rave music on.*
Arthur: This is Beyblade, from Colombia.
*Pax slumps onto and hoards a pile of drugs.*
Phi: My nose, it burns.
*Lui does a weird dance.*
Lain: Flare, Flare, Flare, Flare-
Rashad: Shut up about fucking Flare!
Lain: -Flare, Flare.
Shu: Theodore Glass wants my Spryzen.
Lui: Piss off to Sol.
Gwyn: Cock, I need math.
Shu: Get away from me, Ashtem!
*Theodore falls over and Arthur laughs at him.*

alright so i've finished up valt's arc in the manga!
just as i had expected and hoped for, shu's character arc seems more complete. post-finals, ashtem (all my homies hate ashtem) calls shu over and says that he can only leave the snake pit for good if he defeats norman tarver (this is the one and only place he appears in the manga).
during the battle, shu thinks about how he was actually jealous of valt and how he was able to improve so much in such a short time due to his attitude towards beyblade and how it drew the people around him to valt. shu knew that that was something he couldn't do, so he resorted to the only way he thought he could grow stronger, which was to 'turn into a monster'.
right after this, he recalls how at the very beginning (even before season 1, around the time shu had just gotten his bey, after valt had), they would just have fun trying to win each other, and thinks how wrong he was. he realises that he could have just improved by having fun in beybattles, just like what valt did.
anyways of course spriggan is op and instantly defeats norman lol but thats not even the point of the chapter right.
i'm so glad we managed to hear more from shu about what happened. in the anime, it seemed like it was purely ashtem's doing, which is definitely true, but there had to be a vulnerable part of shu for ashtem to exploit in the first place, which is his jealousy and negative emotions(especially breaking his promise to valt) that he didn't know how to deal with. i felt that this part was kind of vague in the anime, but tbh its not like they didn't do anything good either. the entire part with everyone wanting to try shu's carbonara but how he let valt cook instead (ADORABLE PLS HELP) is like entirely original and that part was really wholesome so :D
p.s. red eye did not ruin kensuke's puppets in the manga. they were just being cruel to us with that one :(

uhhH Beyblade for the fandom ask game
The first character I first fell in love with: ken midori!! i still love pretty much everything about this character (/p ofc), and he (along with daina) was one of the main reasons i stuck with the show early on. he had a really interesting character arc and i’m like 99% sure Middle School Me cried when he left. still can’t believe they pretty much completely got rid of him after season 1 was over, tho, smh my head ://
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: ruwei was Just Some Guy until i got a few more episodes in and realized his facial expressions and mannerisms are super similar to someone i know irl (who also happens to be a shortish violent individual with long braided hair and a bias towards birds n the color blue). now he’s more than just some guy. he’s the SAME flavor of just some guy as one of my oldest and closest friends :)
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: idk? i like a lot of the characters in some way or another. i don’t like lui as much as a lot of other people, though i don’t hate him either. and a lot of the protags (except drum) were Not Really My Faves ig.
The character I love that everyone else hates: bro idek who‘s super hated that i Also Like. who do you people even collectively agree to hate aside from like ashtem
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: i am neither a coward nor a fool. i have a list of faves that i continually add to.
The character I want to be like: listen. i think this happened subconsciously, but my fashion sense nowadays is basically what would happen if you put shuu and xhaka’s wardrobes in the same closet. i have to blame beyburst for every outfit and color scheme i have ever thrown together so i don’t have to live knowing it was a choice made free of outside influence 💔😔🤙
The character I’d slap: yugo nansui (derogatory (affectionate)). i want to fight him in a parking lot but that parking lot has to be in front of a cafe so i can take him there afterward. the duality of mankind.
A pairing that I love: i literally have not shipped anything since like 2016, and even then, i had no concrete pairings. it was more of a “haha what if this happened? let’s give it some thought *moves on immediately after*” so i don’t really think i’m well equipped to answer this lol
A pairing that I despise: shuvalt. i do not care for shuvalt at all and have never really seen that being something that works out. this is coming from my experience as That Guy Everyone Talks To When They Have Relationship Issues And, Later, Need Someone To Talk Them Through Their Breakup.
anyways yeah that‘s about it! thanks for the ask lol

Have you ever tried imagining how season 2 of Beyblade Burst would’ve turned out if Valt and Shu had swapped roles? (Valt goes to America, while Shu is scouted by BC Sol). And how do you think Ashtem would manipulate Valt into joining the Snake Pit? Given how much Valt cherishes his friendships, I think he would feed Valt lies about how his friends all secretly hate him and think he’s weak and would abandon him for someone stronger and more powerful.
Apologies for the late reply nonnie; I had IRL stuff going on ^^ But this is an interesting ask ^^
Honestly, there wouldn’t be that much of a change with Shu in BC Sol since the Drama there was mostly already existing drama (Chris might be one of my favourites but boy she had problems managing the unstable situation created by bad management in the first place). The only positive thing I can think of that would be gained would be Shu actually gaining a good mom figure in the form of Ange (This child really needed a good adult figure and he didn’t get it ><)…if he doesn’t run off beforehand, given his fcked up mindset regarding failure ( @crystalkleure did a great job explaining all that stuff in her post on “genius children” better than I could possibly do, but essentially because Shu’s been 1) left alone for far too long considering he’s 11 at the start of the series, 2) has had no support to deal with fcked up situations (ie the whole thing that led to him getting that scar) and 3) is deemed to be able handling it himself, he developed an extremely negative mindset towards failure. The Shu we see in-series is a result of that). Then again, Daina is right in France, so Shu has someone who knows what he’s like and is comfortable around very nearby. That might help keep him around a little longer.
As for Valt… To be quite honest, Valt isn’t in Ashram’s usual range of targets (as in, Valt’s not emotionally vulnerable). I don’t think Ashram would have as much luck convincing Valt in the first place, as he did with Shu. (He sure as hell would try, though, given Ashram’s overinflated ego) Valt + Snake Pit = a recipe for disaster on Ashram’s end imo. I like the thought, but logically I’m not sure Ashram would be able to control this one as easily. Valt as far as I see him is very optimistic and tends to try to see the good in everyone.
Whatever would happen, it definitely would result in a very different season to the one we got ^^
Thanks for sending this in; that gave me something to think over <3

Beyblade’s manipulative villains
A lot of Beyblade seasons will have 2 main villains, with one being the strong blader and the other pulling the strings. We get this with Balkov-Tala, Doji-Ryuga, Ashtem-Shu, and several more. But each one of these villains operates differently from the others, and the specific methods they use vary
Tumblr media
Starting with Boris Balkov. He appears in both season 1 and G-Revolution. In the first season, he runs the Balkov Abbey, an orphanage that’s really a cover for training child soldiers. Other than Kai, pretty much everyone in that abbey was an orphan, and Boris chose his elite team purely on merit. Once you’re in the abbey, he cares about nothing except your ability as a blader, but the only way you’ll end up in the abbey is if you won’t have anyone looking for you. It’s an orphanage after all. If you had a family looking after you, you wouldn’t be there. Kai is the only exception, and that’s because Boris was financed by Kai’s grandfather, meaning that Kai not only didn’t have anyone looking after him, but had family actively keeping him with Boris
In G-Revolution, Boris’s methods are different. At least 2 members of the Justice 5 have known families, and BEGA kickstarted one of its member’s idol career. Rather than going after bladers who had nothing, he went after bladers who had a tangible goal he could help fulfill. You want money to pay for your sister’s healthcare? Boris can do that for you. Want to become a world-renowned athlete? He specializes in that. Want to become an idol? He’ll handle the marketing and give you venues. The abbey, as scary as the Demolition Boys were, was extremely inefficient. Boris had to find orphans and try to mold them into soldiers, hoping they’d be able to withstand the process. BEGA is much better. You find strong bladers, and promise you’ll help them fulfill their goals. And since pretty much everyone has some goal that can be achieved with the power of money and/or status, Boris can just hire whoever he wants
Tumblr media
Gideon is the supervisor of Team Psykick. Outside of the cyber bit-beast users, we don’t know much about the bladers working under him. The 2 agents lack any clear goals, so it’s unclear why they work for Gideon, but it’s likely because he pays them well. Doctor B is a unique character. He’s not in it for any tangible goal, but rather because he wants to push the limits of human technology. He creates the cyber bit-beasts simply because it’s never been done before, and Gideon simply gives him the means to do it. Doctor B has no sense of loyalty or morality, which makes him extremely easy to get on your side (he won’t hesitate if you offer him the resources to do what he wants), but also extremely hard to keep on your side (all he needs to turn on you is a good counteroffer)
As for Wyatt, he wanted to become stronger so Kai would pay attention to him. And making Wyatt a stronger blader is exactly what Gideon wanted. It was a win-win situation (except for the part where Wyatt couldn’t handle his bey)
The rest of the cyber bit-beast users were mind-controlled by their beys. They were baited in with “hey you’re strong bladers and I want you to test out.” Gideon just picks out a blader he wants and goes “here try this” before letting the cyber bit-beasts do the heavy lifting
Tumblr media
Doctor K starts off working for Zagart, but later goes rogue and leads the Parts Hunters. When she gets Alan to steal the rock for her, she gives him Impulse in return, but doesn’t give it a bit-beast. Unlike Balkov, she doesn’t keep her promises. When Balkov says “work for me and I’ll give you X,” he means it. Because Doctor K scams Alan, it’s unlikely he’d ever do another job for her. Doctor K destroys any chances of someone working for her twice
With the Parts Hunters, she’s only there to stick it to Zagart. She offers the Parts Hunters resources (upgrading their beys) so they could do the job for her. Unfortunately, Doctor K sucks at her job. The new attack ring she gave Queen? It fucking exploded. Then Doctor K interfered in King’s battle against Tyson without telling King she’d do that beforehand. Nobody would ever work for her twice, so she has to keep finding new bladers all the time
Tumblr media
Dr. Zagart doesn’t exactly look for bladers and manipulate them to get them on his side. Most of his bladers we know nothing about (like Foxy and Gordo), except Zeo. Zagart doesn’t manipulate Zeo like Balkov did to everyone. Zagart and Zeo share a mutual goal and they collaborate because achieving said goal is what really matters. Zagart is still a terrible father (and even worse in the manga), but he doesn’t manipulate anyone like Balkov does. If anything, he’s very straightforward and honest with Zeo (in the anime. Manga Zagart is a whole other character)
Tumblr media
Jean-Paul Barthez is the coach of the Barthez Battalion. He gets his bladers to do what he wants by physically punishing them is they disobey. He keeps this a secret however, and to everyone else, Barthez is a kindhearted, benevolent coach. We don’t see how Barthez met his bladers, we just know how he keeps them in line. Much like real life abusive authority figures, Barthez didn’t handpick who he would have authority over (while Balkov had the luxury of only selecting the best), and he’s more focused on keeping them in line because they’re all he has
Tumblr media
I’ve talked about Doji’s methods before. Basically, Doji will take anyone that comes his way if they can help him further his goals, but if that person has a support network, then he’ll only use them in the short-term (like Kyoya). The ones he keeps around for long either are vital for his plans (Ryuga), or have no one else for them (Yu, Tetsuya). Doji also has different relationships with everyone. He may act like a father figure, servant, employer, or whatever makes bladers more useful to him
In Shogun Steel, he operates from the shadows, and lets the Garcias do most of the work. He first reveals himself when Kira wants to go against the Garcias’ orders, and gives Kira what he wants. Like in Fusion, Doji’s relationship with Kira is built purely on what would make Kira the most useful to him (in this specific case, helping Kira rebel against the Garcias)
Tumblr media
Dr. Ziggurat has a very specific criteria for who he keeps around. Namely, they must be compatible with the arrangement system. Unlike Doji, who will make anyone he can be useful, Ziggurat ditches those that aren’t compatible. Ziggurat is also much more upfront. He won’t pretend to care for you. He keeps his distance and it’s very “do what I say and you’ll be rewarded.” He primarily uses blackmail (as seen with Zeo), while Doji only ever used blackmail on Tobio and Ryutaro. Ziggurat will also lie about helping you, like when he put Toby through the arrangement system
The way he speaks to Jack also implies that he has a personalized approach to each blader. He strokes Jack’s ego as an artist, praises Damian as the chosen one (even though he was actually after Toby), and uses Toby as leverage against Zeo. With the Garcias, it’s purely about money, but the Garcias were never important to him, but rather were only hired to prevent anyone from interfering with his plans (akin to private security)
Tumblr media
Pluto lets Johannes do most of the work, so I’ll be covering both of them together (but Pluto is the mastermind). Pluto only ever got 3 legendary bladers on his side (not counting Rago). Dynamis was straight-up mind control/ possession, but shows that Pluto will use supernatural methods to get his way (kinda obvious when you consider what the entire plot of Metal Fury is)
With Chris, he was offered money. Nit because Pluto defaults to paying people, but because money was the only thing Chris was after. With Aguma, the promise wasn’t money, but that the Beylin Fist would prosper, because that is what Aguma was after. Like BEGA, Pluto will promise bladers whatever they are after specifically, and won’t resort to threats (probably because legendary bladers are strong enough that he doesn’t have much power over them)
Tumblr media
Theodore Glass, aka Ashtem, is the head of the Snake Pit. Notably, he, as Theodore Glass, lured Shu into the Snake Pit where he became Red Eye. Now, there’s two reasons he went after Shu superficially. The first is that Shu was really powerful (one of the top 4 in Japan), while also being in a bad state mentally. While characters like Joshua, Free, and Lui were stronger than Shu (at least before he became Red Eye), their mental/ emotional states were not bad enough for Ashtem to take advantage of
With most of the Snake Pit bladers (like Boa), Ashtem promises power. “Do as I say and you’ll become strong.” His training methods are similar to the Balkov Abbey, but unlike the abbey, everyone chose to be there (already filtering out those that aren’t interested). If the way Shu became Red Eye is any indication of how the rest of the masked bladers got their rank, then Ashtem is lying (Shu didn’t have to train to become Red Eye. He was handed the mask as soon as he showed up). Ashtem also doesn’t seem to care about anyone other than Shu (Gold Eye and Boa were planted in the tournament to test Shu’s power)
In Shu’s case specifically, he wanted to become stronger. Lui fucked him up (twice) before Ashtem recruited Shu, and then fucked him up again before Shu underwent the Requiem Project. Shu already showed a disregard for his own health if it meant becoming stronger (and beating Lui), so he was perfect for Ashtem, who pushed that already existing character flaw to the extreme

Arthur was the best villain in Burst because he is the only one that actually feels like a real threat, unlike Ashtem (whose plans fall apart after you think about them for a minute) or Phi (essentially a child throwing a tantrum)
Joshua should’ve beaten Free
Blindt and Evel are really interesting characters and simply calling them villains is doing the writing a disservice since they only allied with villains to fulfill their non-evil goals (they weren’t noble either. Just neutral goals that happened to be achieved through villains)
Ilya so far is under developed and I don’t get the hype around her character
Ragnaruk has always been a good release in every system that brings competitive value to the meta and competitive players should be hyped about new Ragnaruk beys (Crash not included)
Lain beating Valt and the Legend Festival was a good thing
Give me your underrated beyburst opinions that will get you killed by the fandkm
Here, I'll start: There are so many other characters and protagonists who are more interesting than Valt and the popular fanbase characters. Even if their potential is wasted or not, they still were more interesting or at least very interesting like the fanbase and loved popular characters.
Oh shit I can already hear the guns—

Beyblade Burst: Keenan Glass (Kendall Glitten) Part 1
Yes, Glass (Glitten) as in Theodore Glass (Alexander Glitten). He is Keenan's father. So being the "good father" he is, he pushes Keenan into Beyblade, regardless of his feelings. Make no mistake, Keenan does find Beyblade interesting, but only to observe and analyze. He doesn't think he has the strength or talent to actually battle. Competitively, at least. Guess how much Glass (Glitten) cares. Every day, he forces Keenan to train, and every night, he forces him to study strategy and talented bladers. If that wasn't enough, he always built Keenan up to be this amazing "Big 5" level blader. Naturally, being the manager of the Raging Bulls, Ashtem (Ashram) holds Keenan to a higher standard. He always puts pressure on Keenan, saying that "every loss you suffer is a disgrace to the family name". Of course, it doesn't help that Keenan already has performance anxiety and low self-esteem due to being bullied at school for his shyness. It gets to a point where Keenan's grades suffer due to his emotional and physical exhaustion. The final straw is when he has a mental breakdown during a test at school. Having had enough, Keenan's mom, Eleanor Glass (Alexandra Glitten), takes Keenan and leaves America.

🕯️ (Ashtem)
send me 🕯️to hear my character's inner thoughts about your character.
Ash couldn't have predicted a better night than tonight. He already made plans to make it a date night in for Tempest, but everything seemed to fall in line perfectly. He knew the importance of kindling the flame between them but they struggled with fatigue since the twins were born. Everytime they attempted something. Even when they had a night out with a sitter, the pair always ended up catching up on rest instead of having a good time. Which is why the twins falling asleep early tonight was much appreciated.
Ash decided to whip up a little treat while Tempest got the girls ready for bed. A little apple crumble with whip cream. A bit of dessert before the main course if you will. The thought of a night alone made him grin from ear to ear. Spending time with Tempest was his favorite past time. Not that he didn't love when they spent time as a family. Ash had difficulty not being around his children for more than an hour due to how much his missed them; he just missed having adult time. He could just picture the crude joke he'd say just to get her to pause, and bite back. The way she'd try to move away from his neck kisses cause his beard tickled her too much. The sweet kisses she would give him first thing in the morning while he attempted to escape the bed to go out to the garden and check on the girls.
He just wished that they were married already. Everyday, he was closer to just saying fuck it and going to the courthouse, but he knew it would be important to wait for the full even. It was important for their girls to see that they deserved such extravagance. A man that loved them, cherished them, and wanted to show them off to the world. He wanted Tempest to feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. Showing her off as the light that saved him from his darkness; the one that gave him hope to live again. To dream again. And here they were, living that dream, with a house full of love and care.
The male lost himself in the daydream of marriage. He almost forgot to take out the mini bake out of the oven. He'd miss it if it weren't for the timer. Continuing with the good energy and vibes of the moment, he moved to turn on the radio. Ash had a queue of older romantic songs. He loved to dance while he cooked in the kitchen. The faint tune of Love is Strange playing on the little speaker. Ash didn't want to accidentally wake up the girls. It didn't stop him from singing along to the music while rummaging in the fridge for the whip cream. He didn't take notice to Tempest leaning against the doorframe, seemingly entertained by the fact that he didn't care how goofy he looked. He should've been embarassed about getting caught dancing.
Instead, he pulled Tempest by the hand and decided to serenade her a bit, ❝Baby, oh, baby~ ❞ Moving his hand to her waist, the other took her hand while dancing her around the kitchen. Breaking away to twirl her briefly, before catching her in his arms. ❝ My sweet baby, you're the one ❞ Leaning in to give her a very sweet kiss even though he hated how it ended up hushing her giggling.
