Cody spends weeks worrying, Ripley hasn't been herself. Obi-Wan tells him it's just because she's getting old, but Cody knows better. Ripley is an older cat, but she isn't decrepit.

It all makes sense one day when Cody comes home to find Ripley on the bed, meowing and screeching, and then two minutes later, there's a little kitten next to her. In the end, there are five little kittens, a tired out Ripley and a bewildered pair of men.

They look after the kittens. Obviously, they do. But by eight weeks, they can't find a single person who wants to take one, and they know they can't have six cats. Until Obi-Wan mentions his grandfather, a regal, rich old man who lives alone. They aren't sure he'll take a kitten until the old man comes to visit.

Dooku takes to the kittens instantly, determined to take all five of them because he refuses to split them up. He leaves Cody £3000, offering five hundred for each kitten and five hundred to be spent on Ripley for doing the hard work of pushing out five little ones. He offers Ripley a grateful chin scratch, promising to take care of her little ones before leaving happily.
