One Piece au!!!! i didn’t see you were reading One Piece, that’s so exciting, how are you liking it??

mcyt maps so well to One Piece aus, the flexibility of mcyt canon works fantastically well with the expansiveness of the One Piece world. there’s a lot of really fun ways to fit mcyt into One Piece, which is so so fun. i’ve made up my own One Piece au before and come to totally different answers to you with yours, which makes yours super fun to read

i love your character and DF concepts for everyone! all your assignments are so clever. i don’t even really have anything to add, i just fucking love One Piece so i was So excited to see another One Piece au—i love One Piece so much and think you’re such a fantastic writer, so i just had to tell you immediately how thrilled i am about it

hope you’re having fun reading and i’d be very excited to see you revisit some of these thoughts post timeskip (especially since one or two of your devil fruits aren’t too far off from fruits you haven’t seen yet!)

I HADN'T BROUGHT IT UP YET but i am loving it, it turns out one piece is exactly as good as everyone says one piece is (it is extremely good). i am still pre-marineford (although i DO know that one major spoiler about it, can't wait for THAT to kill me dead), but like, only JUST pre-marineford i am in impel down right now. and man its SO GOOD. i think the thing that is getting me most is that its so... funny? i had always heard of one piece being pitched as like, one of the big shonen battle manga, and it IS sort of that, but it's also really funny and has a lot of just REALLY strong character writing and worldbuilding even more than any of the fight scenes i think.

anyway yeah, i totally agree, one piece in general is a FUN WAY TO DO AUS. its really flexible and because both mcyt and one piece are so wide i imagine no two people would do the same assignments or concepts for everyone because it's just... so many possibilities!

also oooh the idea that i managed to accidentally hit some ideas that i haven't encountered yet... exciting...

but yes ONE PIECE IS GOOD I'M ENJOYING IT A LOT!

my most recent WIP is pretty much a 5+1 about sanji, hunger, and the colour red, so red !!!!

gasp... not in my latest one... there's this other WIP i was revisiting about zoro being prone to seasickness when the crew first started (i.e. romance dawn era) ... i wrote him soooo pathetic

"Zoro managed to stumble out to the base of the crow’s nest without braining himself on anything when the ship lurched again, which was probably the highlight of his night so far. Making it up the rigging by the gold of the galley light and the silver of the moon, Zoro pulled himself onto the wooden platform, blanket wound atop his shoulder like a shawl."

15. What is your favorite detail to include while writing?

personifying inanimate objects my beloved............ i like treating the setting as another character :] one of the first compliments i ever got for my writing was about personification and the value of it has stuck with me ever since

18. How many books did you buy?

That's. a great question I'm not really sure. I've been trying to hold off buying new books bc I have so so many to get through first but I did buy at least The House in the Cerulean Sea and Sea of Tranquility bc apparently I'm just really weak for books with "sea" in the title

20. What was your most anticipated release? Did it meet your expectations?

probably Loveless by Alice Oseman! I had mixed expectations bc unfortunately most of the experiences I've had with books about aro/ace main characters have ended up reading like an instructional guide on what those terms even mean, which is great in theory but not if you're looking for a story that's not exclusively about coming of age. Loveless did do that a little bit I think, but it also did a great job making that not the only thing the story was about, and there were some parts that really hit home :) so overall it exceeded my expectations and I liked it for sure!

I do OC comms! The one OC comm I posted was from some OCs I hadn't heard of before. I can do OC comms if you give me...

a few bullet points on the personalities of each of the OCs involved individually

images or descriptions of their appearance and a little bit on how they talk and hold themselves

the dynamic of the OCs when interacting with each other

woagh! rare wip wednesday. i finally found some words and im making... progress? on the other half of mithridatism, aka monster trio poison immunity angst pt. 2, aka zoro's perspective (the parts sanji isnt there for), aka [[a really good title i prommy]].

anyway, thank u @asexualzoro for the funniest thing to happen to me all week, although it is only (as previously mentioned) wednesday. theres still time for comedy. i’m keeping my options open.

Then, without another word, he lifts his left hand—fingers splayed—and Zoro feels the fucked up, unnatural buzz of Law’s power blanketing the room like a thousand tiny pinpricks to his senses. He opens his mouth, already halfway to cursing when Law snaps D and A—and suddenly there, in the center of the cold stainless steel operating table, is a jar. 

It’s an unassuming thing—thick purple-red visible through clear surgical-grade glass etched and labeled with a clinical sterility, such a contrast from the repurposed, hand-sealed rows in the Cook’s pantry that Zoro laughs—a half-formed chuckle of disbelief huffed out into the beat of stillness that falls between them. The viscous liquid sits in heavy contrast to the bright, terrible gleam of the room itself; Zoro can’t take his eye off it. Can’t stop staring, like his left lid has been peeled open and taped back, his neck trapped in a vice, his feet nailed to the floor. 

“You’re insane,” Zoro sneers, and in his peripheral vision, he sees Law shrug. 

“This is the New World. I’m not stupid enough to waste valuable resources,” Law replies, unaware or simply uncaring. “The opportunity to study something so potent only rarely—if ever—surfaces. The opportunity to study something resistant to it—well.” Law shrugs again, and Zoro hears the metal edge of the surgical table creak under his own grip. Something in the room snarls, but Law’s expression doesn’t change. “Really, Zoro-ya, you’re being dramatic.”

“You kept his blood,” Zoro spits, and it’s not a question. There’s a sick kind of shine through the glass, an illness to the color that’s not just oxidation but something worse, maybe—because Zoro knows blood. Knows it intimately, deeply, religiously—knows it better than sweat and sake and seawater, and that—

“Oh, I kept more than that,” Law replies. “But two years is a long time, and storage space on a submarine is inherently limited.”

“You’re fucked in the head.”

Law raises an eyebrow, unmoved. “Like I said,” he hums, “pragmatist.” 

“We fought for you,” Zoro seethes, “and the whole time Luffy was trying to keep you from killing yourself on Doflamingo’s doorstep, you had this in your cabinets like some kind of fucked-up vampire.” 

“Do you think he would care?” Law asks, and Zoro grits his teeth, silenced, because no, actually. He knows full-well Luffy wouldn’t give a shit if he were even aware of the theft—both because he trusts Law (probably picked him, Zoro knows, the moment the Polar Tang surfaced next to Marineford’s battlefield) and because Luffy would genuinely, honestly, wholeheartedly believe in punching his way through whatever risk a rival Captain’s unrestrained study of his physiology might bring. And Zoro doesn’t doubt he could. 

(Law seems to feel the same—he still hasn’t denied Luffy’s own ability to kill him with a little time and effort, after all.)

-Random fact about yourself i didnt get my ears pierced as a kid while all of my friends etc. kept getting theirs, i didnt get my first smart phone until 8th grade unlike most all of my peers, i dont have a driver's license (yet ?) even though i live(d) in Small AssBackwards TownVille where the public transport Does Not Exist and getting to places without a car simply fucking sucks. there's a stubbornness to be an ernu!! i guess!!
