So Descendants of Darkness randomly popped up in my head again. That (and these two showing up in my dream for some reason) motivated me to paint this.

A collection of Yami no Matsuei doodles from a fic I never finished. The basic story is that Hisoka finishes up in the imaginary world and his and Tsuzuki's help is requested in Kamakura, bc it's such a mess there Tatsumi and Watari needed backup lol so here's some scenes I illustrated.

First: they needed to draw Yatonokami out of the house to properly take it on in battle. It was Hisoka's job to act as bait and lure him out- to great success, for better or worse.

Next: some villager or the mayor or whatever (all the villagers saw the fight bc it was outside) is like Ohh he's like Ren reincarnated :D and nagare's like pls no (oh yeah Nagare knows the truth that Hisoka, as well as Tatsumi, Watarai, and Tsuzuki are all shinigami at this point). Nagare does not appreciate Hisoka's little remark lol

Finally: the village holds a party! It's hard to read maybe, so they're saying "A celebration for the continued banishment of Yatonokami, and the return of our heir!" They were all told Hisoka's death was a lie, to protect him while he recuperated from his illness away from the house.

Hisoka is worrying about how to get out of this, meanwhile Tsuzuki is just looking forward to the celebration feast haha
