I know this is a DC blog but I NEED dad Logan. Get that murder teddy bear some kids ASAP.
Fancast + non canon Headcanons ahead.
BOBBY MY BELOVED / 16
“Sure everything in my life is terrible. But at LEAST I’m gay”
Makes pop culture references Logan doesn’t understand. “Logan threw the first brick at stonewall” “what are you SAYING” “he’s an ally”
Can, will, and has gaslight Logan into thinking he’s homophobic just for not letting Bobby do what he wants
Stole a beer from Logan once and they found him drunk crying at 3 am. He calls Logan to apologize about it. “I’m sO sorryyy. You know I love you??” “Go to bed” “noOoo” Logan is next to him.
Has a secret YouTube channel and everyone watches for Logan interactions specifically
Mabel Pines coded
KITTY… that’s his half pint your honor. / 17
Logan is terrified. Why are you such an easy kid. Why aren’t you rebelling? Why isn’t defiance bleeding on your fists?
Why aren’t you clawing and biting and snarling for your freedom? Why aren’t you being a kid? Who do I have to skin-
Daughters are not supposed to exist quietly.
I hc that Kitty’s family is extremely unsupportive of her being a mutant, — but they’re just traditional in general. Specifically she’s petrified of being around/existing along men.
Certified babysitter when Logan’s not around. She’s so big sister.
“guys!1!11!!!! mr. Logan said not to do that!1!1!1”
Logan BEGS her to be a shitty teenager for like 10 minutes. Be bratty!!! Tell him to fuck off! Throw a tantrum!!!! “But I’m not a kid.” “You’re MY kid.”
JUBILEEE daddy’s girl / 15
Problem Child TM
Plays Rock n Roll by Avril Lavigne at 4 am to piss Logan and her siblings off when they annoy her
Grounded all the time but if she fake cries Logan will shamefully relent.
Always puts Logan’s patience to the test because she anticipates him leaving/giving up on her
Foster child with issues. She spent half her life looking for people and the other half being abandoned by them. This won’t be any different.
Except Logan is very good at fighting destiny.
Your honor I don’t CARE Logan is made to be a girl dad!!!!
“On the spectrum. Not saying which one”
STRONG she/they energy
Most affectionate with Logan out of all the kiddos. Her love language is terrible pancake making (Logan eats them anyway) and cat cuddling.
ADHD icon
LAURA (murder baby) / 7
Brings dead birds/mice to her family members (affectionate)
Charles has the bright idea to enroll her in school with the kids. “It’s important for children to socialize with peers their own ages.” “Can’t socialize if they’re all DEAD.”
That meme of the little boy and his father with an arrow in his shoulder
Youngest child privilege
Steals Bobby’s phone and shoot’s hilariously off angle family vlogs. One of them includes her stealing Logan’s motorcycle while he runs after her

Music & fashion
Hi everyone, this week, I want to talk about two different but complementary worlds that I am interested in : music and fashion.
Fashion and music have always been working together. Music influences fashion and fashion influences music.
In the 60’s when Rock n Roll took the stage, the fashion trend was denim jeans and leather jackets. Fashion is a way to express oneself and it is so important for artists. Your clothes reflect who you are, who you want to be as an artist. Moreover, it reflects the artist's inspirations.
Fashion has always been an integral part of hip-hop culture, evolving alongside the music itself. In the early days of hip-hop people wore baggy jeans, oversized shirts, and a lot of tracksuits, often paired with bold accessories like gold chains, large sneakers and big caps.
But it is more than clothing choices, it is a canva of self expression, of attitude that corresponds to their music genre. The harmonious relationship between sound and style enhances the visual storytelling that accompanies the musical narratives shaping our cultural world.
Both industries are so complementary that many musical artists become fashion icons. Of course, I think about ASAP Rocky and his amazing sense of fashion, but also Doja Cat, Madonna, Freddie Mercury, and many others. Nowadays, the most famous musicians are seated on the front row of the most anticipated fashion shows of high fashion brands. Some artists also create their own designs, like Tyler the Creator with Golf le Fleur. He collaborated with Converses on many sneakers but he also dropped a whole clothing and accessories collection and a pop up store in Malibu. Pharrell Williams also became a fashion icon, thanks to his fashion sense but also thanks to his many fashion collaborations with high luxury brands. He is now the Creative Director of Louis Vuitton.
Fashion and music have long been strong matches but the influence is now more than just fashion trends. Musicians are part of the fashion industry. Today, brands are calling on musicians for more than ambassadors roles but they design clothes and attend fashion weeks.

HELLOOO do you have any rap artist recommendations?? saw ur tags on that earlier post :]
hey bestieeeeee
hell yeah i have rap recommendations!!
In terms of artists, definitely Kendrick Lamar because of the lyricism and ability to weave a narrative, Metro Boomin', lil Uzi, Cardi B, 21 savage, Tyler the creator, lil nas x, Doja Cat, Kanye, Megan Thee Stallion, City Girls, Saweetie, and ASAP Rocky all have classics that have shaped the genre in their own way since 2012.
Most songs that have collabs /features with people like SZA, kali uchis, kanye, rihanna, the Weeknd, lana del rey, and other pop artists are pretty fire. Don't shy away from popular songs! They got popular for a reason, and having an artist you know in the song can make a completely new genre less daunting.
In terms of songs, I would definitely suggest:
Just Wanna Rock (lil Uzi), Runnin (21 savage and metro boomin), Right Foot Creep (youngboy never broke again), Collared Greens (ScHoolboy Q, Kendrick lamar), Glock in my lap (21 savage, metro boomin), the Box (Roddy Ricch) because they're hype and iconic.
Songs that have dances attached to them are also a great place to start because then you can straight up see people's enjoyment of it. Songs like juju on that beat, drop it like it's hot, even Wobble (by VIC) and low (by FloRida and T Pain) are really good intro dance songs. The important thing about these songs is that the audience is much broader than for some rap songs. The audience for the dance songs (ie. 'all the shawties in the club', 'west coast', or even 'you') is whoever feels like participating, whereas for example, "Not Like Us' by kendrick is a very specific diss that's meant to be listened to a wide range of people but is a response to Aubrey Drake Graham's bitchass.
#kendrick lamar#<3#answering asks#rappers#artists#i hope this helps!!#this is more of an intro for rap songs than anything#im so sorry i wrote an essay!#i love rap#and rnb and dance songs and american culture

Meet YN Rihanna Fenty-Hotchner
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, Rihanna has been a name we’ve all heard and seen everywhere!
The thirty-five year old musician has made many of us swoon over her music, iconic fashion moments, and many many more. Now the RnB artist is venturing out to be an Entrepreneur, Wife, and Mother.
“I’ve enjoyed the music and I still enjoy writing! I just think it was time to dip my toe into the fashion world more!” Rihanna States.
Over the years she’s been through many struggles and heartbreak. Rihanna rumored to date stars like Asap Rocky, Drake, even Ashton Kutcher. But she’s found love outside of the music industry.
Rihanna and her now husband [Aaron Hotchner] have been dating in private for three years before the star announced her relationship with him nearly a year ago.
“I just thought it was time,” Umbrella star starts. “Aaron and I were in bed and I mentioned to him I was ready to let the world know about our tiny little family. He supported whatever decision I decided to make. With that I slowly introduced my husband and son to the world.
Rihanna talks more about her past relationship and her current one.
“I never actually confirmed anything to the public because it never came up with former partners. If it did, they didn’t want to tell the world we were dating. It felt like they’d be ashamed of me.” She states.
“Not gonna lie, it brought so many insecurities into my mind. Whenever Aaron and I started dating, he picked up those pieces pretty quickly. I knew he was different from that moment.”
Rihanna explains to us how she met her lovely husband.
“It was so unbelievably crazy, actually! Him and his team had just finished a case and they’d been out celebrating. It was before I made it big. Some guy was flirting and he saw I was uncomfortable and came to the rescue. Since then, I’d never looked back.”
“I think the main difference between the relationships I have with Aaron versus the relationship i had with others is his ability to read me and have patience with me. Others didn’t have that in the past. Instead they treated me like I should be lucky dating them. They made me feel like given me a chance was a privilege. Aaron’s never made me feel like he was special and he was too good for me. If anything he’s shown me we’re good for each other. And that’s why it was so easy to fall for him!”
Rihanna explains her shift in the world now being a married woman and a mom.
“I use to see the world in black and white. We have the good and the bad, bad always outweighs the good, but my husband and son have taught me that I have to look at what’s right in front of me. With my husband being out there, catching the creeps and evil men and women out there, putting them away, one less bad guy is out there. It’s always gonna be someone dangerous, but in the end one less evil roaming the streets is still worth seeing the beauty in the world.”
Rihanna talks about her new identity in the industry. “I’m still Rihanna Fenty, that will never change! But now I think I’m ready for the world to see Yn Hotchner! Wife, Mother, and Philosopher! I want the world to see who Yn is. Not just Ri.” She explains.
“Being pregnant has really opened my eyes to so many possibilities of who I can be, honestly. I have learned so much about my body and my ability as a woman! I’m still young and can have fun, but being a mom and being pregnant, it’s really brought a new light to my eyes.”
We asked her about how big she’s prepared to grow her family.
“Aaron and I want a littler of kids! My husband is a bit older than me, but he’s always planned on slowing down, having multiple little babies out there. I’ve always wanted to have a big family of my own. I’m the only child, so having lots of babies been in my deck of cards for the longest time.
We asked Rihanna [Yn] what she expects in her new career choice.
“I’m almost done with a few skin care treatments for Fenty Beauty! We’re also launching Savage x Fenty, which I believe the fans will love! And with my pregnancy and being a mom, this launch will be for all! I hope the world is ready for what’s in store for the Fenty take over.

↶*ೃ✧˚. Hello everyone! Welcome back to another video with LuckieDuckie. Today we will be discussing Rainbow Entertainment’s Best Eras!
As a disclaimer so people don’t come for me in the comments: this is in no particular order. I’m not ranking these eras, just factually stating that they are the best. Also, if you don’t agree with me, I don’t care. Keep it to yourself, I don’t want to see a million comments like “Duckie! Where’s blah blah? Where’s… Chu?” It’s up your [redacted]. Don’t try and tell me I’m wrong either because respectfully… I’m not. Anyway.
Starting off strong, we have LOVE DIVE!
LOVE DIVE! Is That Girl for a reason. Not only was she literally SOTY (4 times btw), but she had the vibes to back it up. I was a big fan of the ethereal cupid aesthetics they had going on and the styling just always looked so expensive. I’m a Chaehee stan, but Blue’s Hime Cut look was literally unmatched. Even the b-sides went crazy this era, with the iconic Sour Grapes taking over everyone’s For You pages. This song was actually inescapable for months, so of course this era had some iconic moments too. My personal favorite moment was Summer’s solo live ban being instated after she called Angelico’s Jinhwa a “fucking weirdo” in front of 45 million Dream. Free her tbh, she did nothing wrong!
Next up… Neverland’s Sugar Rush!
This song was so addicting honestly, the concept, the vocals, the dance, the silly little whistle chorus, it all ate down. We all know where we were when those shirtless concept pics dropped. The whole Peter Pan vibe obviously went with their concept as a whole, but how do I get to that woodland raver’s paradise? Where do I buy tickets? One thing about Neverland is they’re throwing a party and I need an invite. Speaking of parties, the iconic MakoDae club pics dropped this era. All I’m saying is that you can’t prove the girl throwing ass on Mako isn’t me.
Next, we have my favorite Eunji era, Forgive Me.
Honestly, I don’t really stan Eunji like that. I won’t deny that she is the superior Golden Goose producer, of course. But I don’t know all that much about her. What I do know is that whoever this song is about is going straight to hell. She ate them up, your honor! The rock instrumentals had me so shaken when I first listened to this song that I couldn’t stop listening to this song. Ginger Eunji in her rockstar era was peak cunt, The Revenge Era was so serious for her. Not to mention, this song had the most iconic performance of all time. If you haven’t seen it yet, immediately look up Eunji Halloween Bash Forgive Me Carrie. It will change your life. Miss girl is a performer.
Next up is one of Lucky’s most iconic eras, which is difficult to say because they’re all so iconic, I know… but I mean Ping-Pong!
This era could get the title solely from the styling. So many people love to hate it, but they just do not see the camp of it all! The bright pink and blue hair duo lives in my head constantly. I fear Kpop may never see styling so creative and unique again… Someone please rescue Hidae from 4Luvs because they are literally the most hated duo even though they make the cuntiest comebacks! I need them back together asap. Not to mention, these two have the best chemistry. And who could forget the iconic Twister video dropped this era. This video was so divisive among fans but I personally think they looked like they were having a lot of fun answering all the questions while playing Twister. We all know how those two treat competitions and they were undeniably getting flirty up in there, liiiike…
The Song of the Summer is up next… La Vie’s Fruit Salad!
This song is It. One of Rainbow’s most iconic songs by far. I don’t think there’s a single kpop stan out there that doesn’t know this song or even this dance. Honestly, they were the queens of summer before, but this song just solidified their title and made them simply unbeatable. No one else can ever wear the crown when this song exists. The concept and styling is also so perfect, one of my favorites out of La Vie, with the bright colors and quintessential summer vibes. Red-haired Tomi still rules my heart, honestly, and Sohee’s baby bangs were so quirky and cute. One of my favorite variety shows from RBE also comes from this era, I find myself rewatching Lovie’s Fruit Stand all the time. I think it’s so nice to see them getting time to rest and doing fun summer activities together, and its just so nostalgic to me.
Next we have Roly Poly by XOX!
Listen… I know they were flops. But they served with this one, I can't lie! They had no budget, no fans, and no future. All they had was a dance floor and a dream, and yet they still had fun with it. This was the age of camp and techno and XOX ran with it. And in doing so, they created every single RBE idol’s go-to karaoke song. It almost seems like an inside joke at the company because there is at least 2 videos of every single group covering or dancing to this song. And now she’s made her way on to TikTok and the legacy lives on. Everyone say RIP XOX, you will always be famous. Kind of.
Up next is Thee Lucid! Era… TOMBOY!
This is their most iconic era by far and if you think I’m wrong then argue with the wall or something. The song, the styling, the lyrics, the message, the music video, the performances, the moments… need I go on? I fear they ate the whole industry up with this comeback and the industry knew it too! I guarantee you that every single one of yall’s favs was caught doing this dance. Just the sheer amount of people, specifically men, that this song pissed off already puts her high up on my cuntiest songs roster and that was before they went on national television and said fuck! Speaking of fuck, Lucid! did not give a single one this era. My personal favorite Blue moment happened this era when sasaengs leaked pictures of her and Youngho leaving practice for together before their collab stage dropped and sparked dating rumors, and the Next Day she posted “ew wtf? him of all men?” on her public Instagram story on accident… which then started a nuclear fan war on Twitter. Dare I say; iconic. The Tomboy vibes had possessed the whole group I fear, because even Chaehee got man-hating rumors after she ignored Haruki’s hand to help her down the steps at a music show. Not to mention, Minji’s rap verse got so much shit and yet every single time she took her cutesy ass to center stage and ate down. I could literally go on and on about how much I love this era for hours, so if you want to hear more, click the link in the description for my full explanation on why it was the best era kpop has seen from the fourth generation.
Anyway. Next up is La Vie’s Fancy You!
This era was directly after Fruit Salad which means they had a tough act to follow… yet they absolutely came through. They were giving galactic space princesses, rulers of the cosmos, sparkling amongst the stars. Basically… they served. Tomi and Mari’s pink and purple hair duo is still one of my favs and don’t even get me started on the styling. Gogo boots and sequins and hot shorts, god. It was so cunty. And this era isn’t one of their best just because of the concept (even though that is one of their best too) but the vibes. The song and instrumental produced by the iconic ROZE Mari duo that gags to this day. It seems like every 6 months the song is back on TikTok for its cunty instrumentals or choreography. The Anya Kai dating rumors first started this era and you really just had to be there. The entire kpop world imploded on itself. Speaking of Anya Kai dating rumors, my favorite Sol video of all time is from this era in her cute blue highlights making a face in the back of an interview when Kai is brought up… EXO-Ls came for her for weeks until she finally took to Twitter to tell them she doesn’t give a shit about boy groups and their stans with internalized misogyny complexes! If that’s not mother I don’t know who is.
Next, we have DAZED, a Neverland classic.
Remember when I said that one thing Neverland is gonna do is throw a party? Well this is That Party. Out of all 130 million views of this mv, I’m probably 26 million of them. It’s so addicting with the concept and the cinematography… like what are you doing if you show up to this hot guy’s rager birthday party and find out that him and his friends are faeries after you drink their wine and dance for eternity? The ACoTaR girlies (me) went wild for this one, let me tell you. I loved the way they took their whole Neverland Lost Boys concept and twisted it to give us faeries which totally works but it’s also something new? They gave the girls what they want! Howie absolutely owned this era, especially after an edit of him as Rhysand went viral and he had to google the series on live when people asked him about it. I still think about that clip of him saying “What do you mean fairy porn?” every single day.
Finally, last but certainly not least, is the best Rainbow era of all time. NEW WAVE.
I know I said I wasn’t ranking them and all that and that is still true, but… this era is inarguably the best out of all of them so I had to put it last. And of course I'm not biased just because I ult Lucky. I’m convinced that Jung Jisoo tried acid for the first time and then came up with this concept based off of that. And I support it. She was Euphoria before her time, a true masterpiece of neon glitter and debauchery. If I could pick one place anywhere on the space time continuum to live out the rest of my days, it would be the set of this mv. They were literally taking shots in the making video. This song was nearly banned from broadcasts and I’m still surprised that Lucky hasn’t had one of their songs banned yet. Queens Eunbi and Jisoo just know the exact line between cunt and can’t, I guess. This era gave the vibes of the early 2000s club craze tabloid era in the best way both in the concept and for the members. The rumor mill was working over time going after them! Angel was accused of sleeping with fans and cheating on Jennie even though the dating rumors didn’t exist until after the cheating rumors? Sunnie’s gay rumors started this era, although she has since been pretty clear that they weren’t just rumors, LOL. Even baby Han got into one of his first scandals after he got caught with a pack of cigs in his back pocket. The most groundbreaking scandal this era though, one of the only times Lucky has had to issue an apology over the years despite being notorious for saying fuck it, Hiro’s infamous AKB video. Iconic or not, it had impact! But it wasn’t just bad things that came out of this era, of course. It was their most successful ot4 comeback, winning 8 music show wins and PAK as a full group. Plus, they still make room for it on every set list, so they clearly feel the same way about it as 4luvs do. You cannot deny that this era is the most iconic eras of both Lucky and RBE as a whole.
Thank you for tuning in to this video everyone! Feel free to comment below which of these you think is best, or even another one I didn't mention, I guess. But I don't want to see any fighting about it!
Til next time! Mwah!!

Time to Judge Leighton Whitlock
My favorite part of the day is here and it is time to judge Ms. Leighton Whitlock!
We all saw what she put up today and if you didn’t, then fret not because I am here to share them with you!
If you want a peak at her day, you can click here, here, and, here
For Leighton's first post.... is that an athlete or a gym goddess?! Hold on to your protein shakes, because Leighton Whitlock is back at it, breaking hearts and sweat at Red Edge, California! If this is what a "day in the life" looks like for Leighton, sign us up for some cardio ASAP! In a whirlwind of muscle tees, shorts, and "just-woke-up-like-this" hair, Leighton gave everyone a masterclass in looking both exhausted and gorgeous at the same time. Can anyone else pull off the “I just crushed this workout but also kinda forgot to sleep last night” look like this queen? Now onto her second part of her day, Breaking News: Leighton Whitlock Bakes, Slays, and Serves… Cookies! Fashionistas, brace yourselves! Our favorite Red Edge darling, Leighton Whitlock, has traded her usual gym glam for oven mitts and apron realness, and honestly? We are living for it! Spotted in the kitchen, whipping up some cookies that, let's be real, probably taste like sweet, sugary perfection, Leighton gave us the ultimate "Betty Crocker but make it fashion" moment. In a pink skirt and coordinating kitchen accessories (because of course she matches her mixer!), this baking queen is proving you can serve looks while serving…well, actual cookies. Can we talk about those gloves though? Hot pink with a side of don’t mess with me, these cookies are serious business." Forget the runway, it's all about the ovenway today. Who knew culinary couture was a thing? Well, Leighton apparently did! So, did she spend the day relaxing or playing hooky? Either way, we hope her next endeavor is a cookie giveaway because, let's face it, the entire internet is now craving a taste of those iconic treats. And finally her last post...Leighton Whitlock just dropped her late-night bomb: her bestie Jack is in town, and he's here to shake things up! Rocking those classic “geek-chic” vibes with glasses that scream "I'm cooler than you," Jack declared his top-tier friendship status. Leighton, ever the queen of multitasking, managed to look adorable while sipping on what we can only assume is her signature drink.
Not a bad day in your life Leigh. Looking forward to more craziness from you soon
xoxo

Niall Horan – The Mann Center – Philadelphia, PA – June 11th, 2024
It was a magical evening for Niall Horan fans in Philadelphia. The Irish singer/songwriter made a stop on his “The Show Live on Tour” tour in the City of Brotherly Love, making for an exciting night. The weather was beautiful, and the vibes were even better.
Del Water Gap kicked off the night with an electric set, preparing fans for the next few hours. The indie rock singer performed hits such as “Coping on Unemployment,” “To Philly,” “All We Ever Do Is Talk,” and more. He has such a way with his lyrics and talent that everyone, including parents, was on their feet. He closed out his set with the iconic “Ode to a Conversation Stuck in Your Throat,” which everyone sang along to. As the lights came back up and the familiar pre-show playlist came back on, fans knew it was almost time to see their favorite artist.
After a little while, the audience lights fully went down with spotlights illuminating the stage. Projected onto a curtain mid-stage were the words “Welcome to THE SHOW, starring Niall Horan!” Fans lost their minds, knowing what would happen in the coming moments.
The curtain raised as the first notes to “Nice to Meet Ya” began playing, and out stepped the man himself, Niall Horan. He shouted, “Welcome to The Show Live on Tour, lovers!” and fans quite literally lost their minds. Horan then went on to play a mashup of “Small Talk” and Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen” which was a surprising treat. The rest of the set was riddled with Horan’s greatest hits such as “On the Loose,” “Never Grow Up,” and a rendition of One Direction’s “Night Changes.” Hearing a One Direction song live in 2024 was a special moment for fans, me included.
Throughout the show, Horan made sure to build a strong connection with the audience. When finishing giving a speech between songs, he added, “I love this city. I love the people in this city,” which was an emotional moment for fans. Later in the show, he took the time to read signs in the audience. One standout sign read “We made you a teddy bear!” and Horan smiled from ear to ear reading it aloud. He then invited the fans up to the stage to give him the bear and then took a photo with the pair. Moments like this really show how much artists care for their supporters.
The next portion of the show was clearly a fan favorite. Horan performed the romantic track “Black and White” followed by an acoustic rendition of “Flicker,” “This Town,” and “You Could Start a Cult.” For each performance during the acoustic set, fans held up their flashlights, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. This was easily one of the most beautiful moments of the night.
The first single of this new era for Horan, “Heaven,” was an extremely memorable performance. As the song has a strong chorus as backing vocals, I knew it would sound incredible live. Boy was I right. Every. Single. Person. Was on their feet and belting the lyrics to this one. Oh, how I love live music!
After several more songs, Horan disappeared, and the amphitheater filled with anticipation for his return. The stage was illuminated with the singer’s presence again as he began to play “Heartbreak Weather.” This was clearly another crowd favorite, because seemingly everyone knew every single lyric, and remained on their feet for the duration of the song. Fans knew the night was coming to an end when Horan began singing “Slow Hands,” one of Horan’s biggest hit singles. This closing set was one of the best I’ve seen. The energy was absolutely contagious.
Niall Horan’s performance in Philly was an experience that casual attendees and die-hard fans will remember and cherish for life. It is amazing to see an artist like Horan grow over the years, as he has been in the limelight since 2010. The Show Live on Tour is a must-see tour, get your tickets ASAP if Horan is stopping at a city near you!

Evolution of Rap: From the Streets to the Mainstream
Rap, a genre born from the streets of New York City in the late 1970s, has evolved over the years, embracing different styles, themes, and sounds. From its humble beginnings to becoming a global phenomenon, the journey of rap music is marked by the contributions of numerous artists who have shaped its landscape. Let's embark on a journey through the decades to explore how rap evolved and diversified.
1980s: The Birth of a Cultural Phenomenon
The 1980s marked the emergence of rap music into the mainstream. Artists like Grandmaster Flash, Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane, and Rakim pioneered the genre, laying the foundation for what was to come. Their rhymes, often delivered over beats sampled from funk and disco records, reflected the realities of inner-city life, addressing social issues, and celebrating street culture. Run DMC's fusion of rap and rock with hits like "Walk This Way" showcased the genre's crossover appeal, setting the stage for its future growth.
1990s: The Golden Era of Rap
The 1990s is often referred to as the golden era of rap, characterized by its diversity and innovation. Artists like Big L, 2Pac, Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg, and Nas rose to prominence, each bringing their unique style and storytelling prowess to the forefront. 2Pac's raw lyricism and social commentary resonated with audiences, while Nas' intricate wordplay and vivid storytelling elevated the art form. Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg's laid-back flow and G-funk sound became synonymous with West Coast rap, influencing a new generation of artists.
2000s: The Rise of Mainstream Rap
The 2000s witnessed rap's ascent to the forefront of popular culture. Artists like Eminem, 50 Cent, Xzibit, Lil Jon, and The Game emerged as chart-topping superstars, dominating the airwaves and shaping the sound of the decade. Eminem's lyrical dexterity and introspective storytelling pushed the boundaries of rap, while 50 Cent's gritty tales of street life captivated audiences worldwide. Meanwhile, Lil Jon's crunk anthems brought a new energy to the genre, inspiring dance floors everywhere.
2010s: A New Era of Diversity
The 2010s saw rap diversify even further, with artists like Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Joey Badass, ASAP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, and Wiz Khalifa pushing the boundaries of the genre. Lil Wayne's prolific output and unconventional flow solidified his status as one of the decade's most influential artists, while Kanye West's genre-defying experimentation blurred the lines between rap, pop, and electronic music. Kendrick Lamar's socially conscious lyricism and intricate storytelling earned him critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase, solidifying his place as one of rap's modern icons.
As we reflect on the evolution of rap music over the decades, it becomes clear that its journey is far from over. From its humble beginnings in the streets of New York City to becoming a global phenomenon embraced by audiences of all backgrounds, rap has continually evolved, adapting to changing times while staying true to its roots. As new artists emerge and new sounds emerge, one thing remains certain: rap will continue to shape and influence the cultural landscape for years to come.

A$AP Rocky's New Family Reason He's Back To Business
Rakim Mayers also known as A$AP Rocky welcomed a baby with music artist and business mogul, Rihanna, this past spring. The proud father revealed he is completely focused on his music and family in an interview for Complex. The Harlem-raised rapper has seemed to be enjoying his private life with his girlfriend and new born. “I love it. Everything is just based around my newfound love for being a dad and a family man." he told the publication. They referred to him as a man of mystery as we have only seen him in a few paparazzi photos here and there with the Barbadian singer, since the announcement of their union. A$AP Rocky 2022 Singles Throughout this year Rocky has dropped a string of singles including, his ode to Robyn Fenty "D.M.B." and the most recent track "Shittin' Me." The release of "D.M.B." came with the iconic music video of him and Rihanna running the streets of New York City. Previously the pair shared the screen in his music video for his 2013 track "Fashion Killa." RCA RECORDS Album On The Way It looks like an album will be coming soon, but there is still no release date. Mayers last project was in 2018, Testing. He told Complex, it’s some cool shit in store... And it’s not a situation where they are going to have to wait long. It’s like ASAP, no pun intended.” A$AP Rocky spoke to the publication with a certain excitement in the interview even though he described this moment in the hip-hop community as "really weird," because of the deaths of important figures. Most recently hip-hop lost greats such as Take0ff from Migos and PnB Rock. New Decor Line Although Rocky's musical project is coming along, he recently introduced us to his "furniture interior design studio." His new decor line is called HOMMEMADE. The artist leaves Complex with this quote "all I have is my craft, my art, my family. That’s just my life. That’s what encompasses or completes my life at this moment." @quill-pen oooh heck yes, we're getting into it!!! I love the look of these options already!
THIS IS PRECIOUS. Imagine Starry/Sherry/Robbie/Daisy having matching versions of the same top too? Adonis would PERISH.
I NEED Connie in this, ASAP. With little matching loafers? STEP. I love her in a menswear moment.
OBSESSED. Definitely outside her comfort zone, but pair this with a bandana in her hair too? Bess would be proud.
This is like if Eb's pajamas were in dress form, and it looks SO COZY. Perfect for snuggling up (a lot of these items are for snuggling ... hey, she likes snuggling!)
ANOTHER RUNWAY DRESS! The orange in the dress matches her hair so well! This might be a fav. It's iconic.
Why does this strike me as a murder-mystery dinner dress? Like, I NEED the Pack to do that, and I can totally see Connie absolutely rocking this dress. It's giving "Knives Out" energy.
Perfect for strolls with Prudence. Good coverage to keep those nosy photogs at bay, but also amazingly cute, and even a little collegiate!
I see this being a date dress while dating Orin! It's sweet, cute and innocent for the age that she is at the time. The blue adds a nice pop of color too that Orin says, "matches her eyes beautifully." Well, he isn't wrong.
ANOTHER FAV! this as a work skirt? With a black turtleneck and hoops? So pretty, but also very mature. It's even giving some dark academia vibes.
I love this raspberry-chocolate mauve/pink color! So pretty! This feels so soft and feminine. She usually leans a little more...risqué and sexy/regal/classic with her fits, so something like this is a change. She tries it on, and can't stop twirling.
Bess and Connie could totally wear the same clothes! I can totally see them sharing pieces. Or, like that matching set (3), one wears the pants and the other wears the top when they both go out. Like, indirect twinning? The cuteness possibilities are endless.
Found some pretty brownish thrifts for Connie
I know the tan one isn't as glam as her usual vibe, but I just see her in it for some reason. Might be a good, safe outfit for her first day as clerk when she starts at the bank. They could always send it to Josie to do a glam-up too.
The last one is kind of the same. Idk where she'd wear it or what for, but I see her in it. Maybe it'd be a cute beach dress?
All of these are so perfect! seriously, her in this very posh, chocolate/coffee brown is just clicking so well.
Okay, I legit adore these, so each one is getting an occasion:
This feels like a date dress for a night at a jazz club or dueling piano bar. Just sitting, drinking a nightcap and savoring the music. I want her to pair it with some wedge shoes for ultimate 90s babe vibes.
Absolutely a shopping day dress. Easily gets paired with tall boots and a messy updo. It's the perfect 'lunch then shop' look because it's breezy but still elegant.
Definitely a first-day dress for her time as a clerk! She wants to look as formal as possible. What's more classy and formal than an A-line belted dress? She does wear it with heels and some gold jewelry too! Quite a few people stare on her way up and wonder who the hell got lucky enough to get HER in their office? (She also brought a briefcase).
LOVE this for the beach! It's almost a raisin-brown shade, which is so unique. This is one where she feels comfortable enough around the Pack to be herself, so she kicks off her shoes and is like...thigh-deep in the surf, twirling and having a blast. Love this dress with her hair down nice and loose.
