I think if I said who my favorite characters in media were, it wouldn't surprise anyone here. Instead it'd be like that explains so fucking much while saying nothing. So fuck it.
A list of favorite characters from every hyper fixation I've ever had.
YuYu Hakusho (I would recommend both the manga and anime bpth are very good times.)
Yusuke Urameshi Keiko Yukimura Kazuma Kuwabara (I love Kuwabara he's great- He's amazing good guy.).
Since we're on Yoshiro Togashi's work anyway-
Hunter x Hunter
Killua Zoldyck Leorio Paladiknight Knuckle Bine
Detective Conan
Shinichi Kudo (I too am irresponsible and full of hubris I would have followed that criminal too at his age.) Ran Mori Heiji Hattori
Shaman King
Yoh Hao Asakura
It's equal but I lean more favorably towards Yoh. Favorite Yu-gi-oh series and protagonist
Yu-Gi-Oh GX
Judai Yuki (I don't think this says anything. I'm just correct, actually.)
Bleach
Orihime Inoue (Always forever sweet lady amazing girl.) Captain Unohana Oldman Yamamoto Toshiro Hitsugaya Kenpachi and Ichigo (I like them both to about the same degree.)
Naruto
Naruto Hinata Neji Shikamaru Sakura Ino Tamari
Oh, wait Akamaru. Yep that's every- oh and Shino! Wait and Choji. Probably Tamari's entire team, too, and can't forget Neji. In fact there we go he's up where he belongs. Naruto has a huge fucking cast. Most of them are interesting chaaracters. Bleach has a fucking huge cast as well.
Code Geass
Lelouch Euphemia Suzaku Akito from Akito the exiled (this is also correct).
Boruto
I'm committed to what I like-
Boruto Shikadai Chocho (this is just correct too actually I don't look in this fandom so fuck it I make this rule now) Himawari Inojin.
One Punch Man
Garo (I said he could beat Saitama in the manga and my nephews made fun of me because he's never won anywhere else. But that shit was a fight in the manga instead of a one hit out.) Metal Bat (I have a character type leave me alone. Yes, I recognize having Kuwabara, Knuckle Brine, and then him here sets a pattern. But I'd argue it's a good one.)
Chainsaw Man
Denji Makima Nayuta Kobeni Asa
Pandora Hearts
Oswald Gilbert Oz Elliot Marie Ada Sharron Lily
Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning (Spiral Suri no Kizuna)(read this in middle school sooo this is going off memory.)
Ayumu Narumi Hizumi Mizushiro
Nabari No Ou (read this in middle school sooo this is going off memory.)
Tobari Kazuhiko Miharu Yoite Kouichi
Kagerou Days
Shintaro Ayano Seto Konoha Hibiya
Kingdom Hearts
Terra Roxas Axel (Lea) Xion Vanitas Ventus Xemnas (Look my first game was days and he was a decent boss). Larxene Sora
Oshi No Ko
Aqua Hoshino Akane Kurokawa Taiki Himekawa Kana Arima Frill Shiranui Shun Yoshizumi
Batman comics and animated series
Harley Quinn (since batman the animated series) Damian Wayne (since Son of Batman movie) Bruce Wayne (Yes, Bruce is below his son. I'm not sorry.) Poison Ivy (since Batman the animated series.).
Spider-man
Peter Parker Mile's Morales (from the films).
Calvin and Hobbes
It was the first thing I enjoyed reading. I don't think I have to explain this but I liked everyone that appeared frequently in this.
Deadpool (mostly due to the Spider-man team up comics and the movies.)
W.I.T.C.H
Irma Hay Lin Will Taranee Cornelia Elyon
Totally Spies
Alex Clover Sam
Martin Mystery (A show nobody knows)
Martin
Invader Zim
Dib Gaz Tak
Gravity Falls
Dipper Pines Pacifica Mabel Stanley
I was typing this up during that whole other thing people may have seen. I don't know what this list can tell anyone about me. It is funny to go over for me personally because a lot of the characterization stuff I like from Milgram can be found in most of these series. Which is proably why I have trouble actually picking favorites in regards to Milgram since all of the characters have traits I enjoy.
But yeah that's a little bit about me I guess. I do enjoy a lot of the characterization I see in Milgram. This is much more casual and generally being written up to give some idea of my likes. Though most of these are good watches, reads, or plays. Most are pretty well known but I would recommend Spiral since it's not that talked about in general.
Well, that's it.

“Um…! I’m, my name’s, I’m the Ultimate Hanakotoba Specialist…! I’m…”
The terribly shy girl keeps trying to speak up, her voice so low one wouldn’t really be able to tell her words apart from each other. She fumbles with her hands, head down, and she can’t force herself to say the rest. Suddenly, a book is closed behind her, making the terrified girl jump ahead—almost bumping against the newcomers, which was avoided by an inch or so.
Tumblr media
“Asakura-chan, they already know our names,” She corrected the other student, placing her book down after terrorizing Chika. “A pleasure to meet all of you, I’m a fan of Sakurai-chan’s and Fujioka-kun’s works.”

April 2021, Kageki, Ayaki Hikari’s “e to bun” translation - or - the one with all the Montague Information
Okay, alright I am back with another funky little casual and ~* fun *~ translation. Since Ayaki Hikari has an e to bun column right now I, of course, am under legal obligation to read it. Which means that I might as well go ahead and translate it for folks too. And boy, this one is important. If you’re at all interested in the very... very minor details of the background of Hoshigumi’s current production of Romeo and Juliet then I am happy to provide this content to you for the next three months. This month Akachan covered the entirety of the Montagues. By the sounds of it she will hopefully be covering the Capulets next month so look out for that or whatever else it could be when I translate that next month. For now, I leave you with this monstrosity of content, please do enjoy. And know that, yes, I tried my damnedest to make a chart of these relationships and it was just too messy I could not make it work so, good luck.
Tumblr media
The Situation in Verona, As I Reveal It - Ayaki Hikari (title credited to: Iroha Reo) Hello to all the readers of Kageki. My name is Ayaki and I am Benvolio in the B Cast of “Romeo and Juliet.” I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the profiles of all my Montague friends in the same style as “Takarazuka Otome.”  Each person answered the following questions: (1) Role (2) Family structure (3) Is there someone you are in love with? That you are friends with? (4) Points of interest that we hope you, the audience, will find helpful or enjoy when watching the play. Shizuki Otone: (1) Mia (2) Kozakura Honoka’s older sister 😊 (3) Benvolio, of course haha ❤️❤️❤️ (4) In “Kirei wa Kitanai” I get to see Benvolio, so I am hoping to show him there that I like him!! Sazanami Reira: (1) Luka (2) I have 3 younger sisters. (Otosaki Itsuki, her twin Ruri Hanaka, and Hoshisaki Nozomi) (3) I don’t build closer friendships with my peers in town, but instead with all the girls. (4) I try to see all the faces of the Montagues in every number. Otosaki Itsuki: (1) Lucia (2) A brother, Sazanami Reira-san. Sisters, Ruri Hanaka and Hoshisaki Nozomi. I have a cross in the back of it, so try to find it! Yuunagi Ryou: (1) Bruno (2) I have a younger brother (Hayato Reo)! Ayane Miran is my younger sister, and I am childhood friends with Hanayuki Rira. (3) I have no girlfriends, but I do have a crush on Otosaki Itsuki-san. (4) After being slapped by Otosaki-san in “Kirei wa Kitanai” I had to learn how to do a successful backwards roll. Minato Rihi: (1) Pos Savin (2) No family (Orphan) (3) Romeo (4) The hairstyle is based on a manga character. The braid changes depending on the day, so if you find me please take a look at the hairstyle too. Hanayuki Rira: (1) Maria (2) No family members. Best friends with Otosaki-san, childhood friends with Yuunagi Ryou. (3) I have a crush on Romeo...❤️ (4) This is not the usual Hanayuki, I have a fighting, powerful, look behind my eyes! Kozakura Honoka: (1) Carla (2) I’m Shizuki Otone-san’s sister! (3) I like Mercutio. I don’t know if as a friend or… as a more than that? (3) I like Ouka Rurina without realizing it and mistakenly think she likes me back. (4) Sometimes it can feel like me and Soua Takeru really are twins. Kuresaki Rino: (B Cast): (1) Sophie (2) I am an only child and a childhood friend of Yuran Sui. (3) There are some people I like, but I don’t really feel a connection with them. So I am looking for someone. (4) I don’t want to fight my troupemate Sumika Amane, in the duel, but I have to fight with her. I’m hoping to express this conflict to her through my heart so that we can reconcile in the end through our performance! Soua Takeru (B Cast): (1) Adam (2) I am Amaton Kanon’s twin brother. (3) I temporarily fell in love with Hoshisaki Nozomi but I am easily distracted. (4) Sometimes I feel like me and Amato Kanon are really twins. Houma Toa (A Cast): (1) Chuck (2) I am one of three siblings. The second is a younger brother (Taiki Hayate) who is two years younger than me. And the third is a younger sister (Ayane Miran) who is strong-willed and cute. (3) I have a childhood best friend (Ruri Hanaka) that I’m thinking of marrying some day… ❤️. (4) I have had natural perm-style hair from birth! I am a hot-blooded man with a short temper, but I also have a passionate heart and love my friends. Ruri Hanaka (A Cast): (1) Kiara (meaning “bright”) (2) My brother Sazanami Reira, my first sister Otosaki Itsuki, and my other sister Hoshisaki Nozomi. (3) I will marry my best friend Houma Toa some day. (4) The feeling of performing between the sky and the cobblestones that can be seen between the houses and throughout the city of Verona. Hiroki Yuzuha (A Cast): (1) Dante (2) My brother is Asamizu Ryou. (3) I don’t have a significant other, but I have love for Benvolio as well as my brother! (4) My goal is to be more mature in my appearance and playful while acting. I want to portray a character of a younger brother that is trying to grow up. Yuran Sui (B Cast): (1) Laura (2) I am an only child. But my childhood friend is Kuresaki Rino. (3) I have always had a crush on Mercutio. (4) In the duel, I want to express that I know it is a meaningless fight. But I pretend not to notice this feeling and become driven by hatred and a need for power. Hoshisaki Nozomi (B Cast): (1) Katerina (2) My brother Sazanami Reira, my sister Otosaki Itsuki, and my twin sister Ruri Hanaka. (3) I like Romeo before I realize it. (4) The hair arrangement of my bangs and my leg lifts during the duel. Ayane Miran (A Cast): (1) Eva (2) I am the younger sister of Hayato Reo and Yuunagi Ryou. (4) I hate the Capulets with every fiber of my being. Aone Towa (A Cast): (1) Rick (2) I’m an only child and a childhood friend of Ayane Miran. (3) My dream is to be like Mercutio. ✨ (4) I’m trying out having short hair for the first time! Mitsurugi Kai (B Cast): (1) Jeff (2) I am an only child. (3) I’m looking for someone. 2020 Fanfic In Review
Idea taken from @floraone! (FYI, if you saw this yesterday, I’ve deleted the original and reposted it again now that the glitches that were plaguing my Tumblr the past couple of days have been fixed.)
1. List of fics completed this year:
Sailor Moon
Selenophilia Series Taste Test Adventures In Babysitting Better Than A Unicorn Dahlias and Coffee Real Parents Awaken Shopping Trip Usagi, Mamoru, and the Three Mattresses Bad Day Blues Meet The Grandpa The Return of Nurse Minako
A New Future
Do No Cry For Me
Distraction
Stoplight
Investigation: Mystery Date
Kaleido Star
Friends With Benefits
Heart to Heart
Yuri!!! On Ice
What Happens In Vegas
A Morning Proposal
Reunited
Taking The Plunge
Perfect Idol
I’ve Been Thinking About You
Triple The Love
Confusion
The Bonds We Choose (WIP)
And a few more fics for the upcoming YOI Rare Pair Week, but since those won’t be posted until next month, I’m not going to list them.
2. Number of words written: I don’t really keep track. Posted? Around 130,000 or so, I think, but that doesn’t count unposted stories (like the Rare Pair fics I mentioned) and chapters. Plus, some stuff I posted this year was actually written earlier, so… 150,000 to 200,000 seems like a good estimate.
3. Your most popular fic: It’s always hard for me to judge popularity because there’s different ways you could look at it, but I’d say “Distraction” was probably the most popular at FF.net and “A Morning Proposal” at AO3.
4. Your personal fav: Probably my WIP, “The Bonds We Choose”, but of the completed stories… I actually really love “A Morning Proposal” even though it’s just a short, fluffy ficlet. I’m also quite proud of my two Sailor Moon Smutember fics, “Distraction” and “Stoplight”
5. Your fav scene: This is a tough choice… Probably the scene in “The Bonds We Choose” where Otabek takes Yuri to an open house and surprises him by asking Yuri to move in with him and Mila. I’m a bit of an HGTV addict, so it was really fun to write Yuri making snarky comments about the interior design.
6. A fic or scene that challenged you: “Do Not Cry For Me”, without a doubt. Most ironic title ever, because there was a period of, like, three or four days back in August when I’d start crying if I even THOUGHT about that fic because I hated the first chapter so much. (And that is NOT a normal reaction for me, BTW. I’ve never cried in frustration over a fic before that I can remember.) Just ask everyone on the SS Bang Discord. I was a mess. It was so bad that I got to the point where I wanted to drop the fic altogether and start a new one (I came up with “Stoplight” as a backup story) even though 1) my artist had already drawn a rough draft of the artwork and 2) there was only a couple of months left until posting. With the help of my beta and a couple of others, I managed to get it to the point where I wasn’t exactly thrilled with it, but I at least thought it was okay. Then a couple of days after I finished posting it, I had another sobfest over it because only one person left a review over at FF.net (and it wasn’t really a review; just a prediction of what they thought was going to happen). Which, in hindsight was pretty silly because I know FF.net was having problems the week I posted, and I actually received the most comments I’ve ever gotten over at AO3 (thanks mostly to @teamvanessacloud and @vchanny-og being nice enough to leave a comment on all seven chapters *hugs*) and a decent amount of kudos, but something about that one single FF.net review really got to me and seemed to confirm my fears that it was a terrible fic. I don’t know… That fic messed with my head so much, y’all. (Probably didn’t help that it’s probably one of the most depressing things I’ve ever written. You guys know I love angst, but maybe that was TOO much angst.)
7. A line of writing you’re proud of: I have two picks for this, and both are actually from my Smutember fics.
First one from “Distraction” - After a weeks-long drought, they indulged in each other like weary travelers drinking from an oasis, almost frantic as they writhed together on the bed.
And the other is a piece of dialogue from “Stoplight” - “Your vow of chastity during our previous lives didn’t stop me from loving you, Rei,” he reminded her. “A lack of sex sure as hell isn’t going to stop me from loving you in this life, either.”
8. A comment that touched you: I’m not sure if “touched” is the right word, but I was really happy that a lot of people praised “Distraction” for its realism even though I actually don’t have any personal experience with sex. I guess I did all right, though! *laughs*
9. Something that inspired your writing: I can’t really think of anything in particular, honestly. Oh, wait, “Dahlias and Coffee” was kind of inspired by a piece of Taiki/Setsuna artwork! Which, of course, I can’t find anymore to link to, although I know I reblogged it a while back. I know the artist’s name was Alex Asakura, though. (EDIT: Now that I’m able to search my Tumblr again, I found it. This is the picture.)
10. Your proudest accomplishment (that one scene; finally finishing that one fic; posting your first fic; etc): Despite all the tears, I guess I am kinda proud of myself of rewriting it to the point that I no longer hated the first chapter of “Do Not Cry For Me”, and I actually do think the ice-skating battle is the best action scene I’ve ever written. Also, finishing “Friends With Benefits” – one of the reasons I decided to return to fic-writing after a long hiatus was the desire to finish that story, so I’m glad I did, even if the fandom is mostly dead!
11. Do you have any writing goals for next year?: I’d like to finish “The Bonds We Choose”. Other than that, maybe get back to one of my Sailor Moon WIPs. Oh, and maybe learn to stop hating writing kissing scenes so much? *laughs*

Angerme's Kamikokuryo Moe talks about her love for Hello! Project with "20 Questions"!
2In 2018, Hello! Project is celebrating its 20th anniversary, so we’re starting a celebratory serialization for it! From the members of Hello! Project, their feelings and thoughts towards the 20th anniversary and activities up until now, as well as enthusiasm towards 2018 and the everyday thoughts of idol life; we did a “20 questions 20 Answers” talk~ This time Angerme’s Kamikokuryo Moe is appearing!
Tumblr media
Kamikokuryo Moe = Born October 24th 1999, Hometown Kumamoto. Bloodtype O. Nickname Kamiko.
Q1: Tell us the meaning of your name!
I think my name has the meaning of budding or growing quickly. My big sister also has the character “衣” so it is like the big and little sister are matching.
Q2: What senior do you aim towards?
I’m aiming towards the members of Angerme! Talking, singing, dancing, taking photos, they are all seniors that allow me to set goals. Up until now I admired C-ute-san but because they graduated it is now “Angerme”’s seniors.
Q3: Who would you want to be reborn as?
A foreign girl. Foreign girls have deep beautiful features like a painting! Just that alone is cute.
Q4: What are you the best at in Hello! Project?
Love for Kumamoto! I take pride in my hometown Kumamoto! Kumamoto is a good place, the nature is rich and the air is clean, there are very warm people. You will definitely get a response if you greet people! It’s the best. There is lots of delicious food.
Q5: Tell us something amazing about Hello! Project!
We sing and dance, while doing it fiercely.
Q6: Who would you want to be in a Hello! Project special unit with?
Morning Musume ‘17’s Ogata Haruna-chan and Nonaka Miki-chan, Tsubaki Factory’s Tanimoto Ami-chan, Asakura Kiki-chan, Onoda Saori-chan, and Country Girls Ozeki Mai-chan. These were the member at the Morning Musume auditions training camp. At that time everyone did their best, so I kinda want to form a group like that!
Q7: Tell us an Angerme song you like!
“Taiki Bansei”. It’s the song I auditioned with. Also, the song has memories of how I failed to stand on stage the first time, and I noticed lives were fun from this song.
Q8: What is a Hello! Project song you like?
Morning Musume’s “Mikan”. Its cheerful, I get pumped up when I sing at karaoke! I also like “Wagamama Ki no Mama Ai No Joke”. My sister is into Morning Musume, I tried dancing this song with her and came to like it.
Q9: What is the difference between current and previous Hello! Project?
Before, Hello! Project had a strong image of being on variety shows. Recently we’ve been getting strong at singing and dancing, but my goal is to do my best to have a strong expressive power like my seniors.
Q10: Other than yourself, who is your oshi within Hello! Project?
Angerme’s Sasaki Rikako-san. Her dancing is an amazing force. She is cute when she is embarrassed and she is cool when she is modeling. Also she can be both child and adult-like, it’s interesting to see her various facial expressions. She is a beauty!
Q11: What is something you want us to see most from yourself?
Singing! Because I’ve thought that I want to get even better at singing, I’d like you to see me doing my best towards that. Suzuki Airi-san (C-ute) and Tamura Meimi-san (Former Angerme) have amazing expressive power, but I don’t think I can reach that. But if there is a time when someone can’t do something, isn’t it like I’ll do my best to become able to do that?
Q12: What is work you would like to challenge?
I want to do short skits like they used to do in broadcasts of “Haromoni”! Angerme’s current personalities are strong, I think we are absolutely funny.
Q13: What is something you want us to see most from Angerme?
Our good relationships. I think our good relationships come out at lives.
Q14: What do you want to be doing in 20 years?
Having kids, I’d like to be a parent. I’d like to return to Kumamoto and be a housewife.
Q15: Since it’s the 20th anniversary, tell us a secret!
Conversely, I’d like you to tell me one (lol).
Q16: After the 20th anniversary what do you want to do?
This summer we joined “ROCK IN JAPAN FES.2017”. I was really encouraged by the other artists, it made me want to stand on even bigger stages with Angerme!
Q17: What would you be doing if you weren’t an idol?
I was in my first year of high school when I joined Angerme, since then I’ve been studying quite a bit, and it felt strange when I stopped doing it as much. I think I’ve come to enjoy studying, so if I hadn’t become an idol I would be doing my best studying for college entrance exams.
Q18: What are you most into right now?
Collecting rare coins! I’ve been collecting rare coins like giza 10’s and 5 and 100 yen coins from older years.
Q19: What Hello! Project member do you get along with?
Morning Musume ‘17’s Nonaka Miki-chan. Our birthdays are close; I sent her a message at her birthday event and at my own birthday event Nonaka-san had a message for me! I didn’t know about it, so it was a happy surprise!
Q20: What is an idol to you?
We give energy, we have the presence of being a source of energy, is what I’d like. I have also felt that I must do my best after seeing an idol group, in order to continue this every day of the year, I think it’s good to always be thinking about having this kind of a presence.

Manga Giveaway: A Cache of Kodansha Comics Winner
And the winner of the manga giveaway for a cache of Kodansha Comics is… Dawn!
As the winner, Dawn (whose terrific Anime Nostalgia Podcast also happens to be hosting a giveaway right now) will be receiving the first volumes of Descending Stories: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju by Haruko Kumota, Kigurumi Guardians by Lily Hoshino, Land of the Lustrous by Haruko Ichikawa, and Love & Lies by Musawo, all of which debuted in English from Kodansha Comics this past year. In addition to its print releases, Kodansha Comics has also had a particularly good showing in 2017 digitally. And so for this giveaway, I asked participants to tell me a little about their own reading habits and preferences when it comes to print versus digital manga. The responses were really great, so be sure to check out the giveaway comments!

Assuming that I didn’t miss any (I’m sure I have and some of the digital titles probably haven’t even been revealed yet), Kodansha Comics had twenty print debuts last year (most if not all of which are also available digitally) and forty-five digital debuts (a few of which will eventually be released in print, too). By the end of the year, Kodansha Comics will have debuted more than sixty-five new titles in addition to its other continuing series! It’s great to see how much is being published in English these days in print and digitally, and not just by Kodansha Comics. Thank you to everyone who shared your reading preferences with me! Both digital and print manga have their pros and cons, so I found all of your responses very interesting. I hope to see you again at the end of December for one last giveaway here at Experiments in Manga!
