Walkshipping board for that one anon from forever ago who asked about my ships
X-X X-X X-X
#i call i walkshipping because i'm pretty sure their only interaction together was walking bakura home#the dynamic to me is unrequited crush -> friends -> fake dating -> possible qpr -> crush x2 combo -> awkward maybe-kinda-unofficial-polycul#i think since mihos crush on bakura was solely aesthetic‚ it'd start to fade once she started actually viewing him as a friend#and i think once that happened and bakura got more comfortable they would end up hanging out a lot#i think miho would love tabletop games (you cant convince me her enjoyment of capsulemon didn't just come from rping with the pieces)#and her immunity to traditionally scary things means bakura could get her into a lot of his other interests as well#anyway i like the idea that eventually they decide to fake date each other purely to get the girls to leave bakura's demi ass alone#which in turns leads to honda third wheeling them a lot bc 'ur just fake dating right ur not gonna catch actual feelings right'#the idea of this going anywhere romantic hinges on my belief that finding out abt mihos weird strange interests makes him even more into he#and that realizing how many traits she shares with bakura is‚ unfortunately for him‚ how he finds out he might in fact be bi#so now he's still desperately trying to romance miho AND coming to terms with the idea that his jealousy of bakura might have deeper origin#meanwhile the two are like 'hey honda likes us isnt that cute. wanna see how many trinkets we can get him to buy us'#<- (i warned you. i warned you about the extreme yapping that came with this)#moodboard#yugioh#yugioh s0#miho nosaka#honda hiroto#ryo bakura#ryou bakura#tristan taylor#walkshipping#hands#dice#flowers#planchette#ouija board#jewelry#puzzle

astrology notes: 19 ☼𓂃𓃗𓂃
Tumblr media Tumblr media
quick note: i'm absolutely not an astrologer. these are just a collection of some observations, thoughts, theories, and personal experiences based on astrology. with that being said, i'm still learning along the way & i may come back to edit this post to make corrections. above all this is just for fun. lastly, keep in mind that i’m not reading your birth chart and i know nothing about you. these are just some possibilities that may or may not apply to you. enjoy!
˚♡₊ pisces & them not knowing if something they remembered was from one of their day dreams or an actual dream they had.
˚♡₊ moon or chiron in the 2nd house can indicate an emotional eater. they can be someone who eats for comfort or just because they're bored.
˚♡₊ virgos are known to be judgmental towards other people & things but they’re judgmental towards themselves as well, being that they typically struggle with perfectionism. for this reason, they probably cringe at themselves and the things they’ve done quite often. they can be quite regretful and hard on themselves when they make a mistake. but virgo, you guys are imperfect just like everyone else who has lived and died. and although it may be easier said than done, breathe, live, and just be. try to view as your mistakes as an opportunity to learn & improve.
˚♡₊ asteroid juno (3) in 4th the house can make people think you’re the type to bring home to meet their mom/family.
˚♡₊ uranus in the 2nd, 5th, 8th, and 11th house can cause the native to feel frustrated and experience disturbance in those areas of life that are represented by those aforementioned houses. that’s because uranus is a planet that represents constant change and unpredictability & those houses are fixed houses that represent exactly what the name suggests, it’s fixed, it desires stability and regularity.
˚♡₊ capricorns are known to be controlling/bossy but aquarius tends to have those characteristics too. i’ve often seen it happen with their friends, like they can be the leader of the group and tell people what to do or they make decisions for others. i guess it’s the saturn influence since we know that cap is ruled by saturn & aquarius is traditionally ruled by saturn too.
˚♡₊ those with gemini moon are the type to laugh at themselves while they’re crying. and if they’re not, then they’re definitely going through it because it’s often hard for them to take themselves seriously like gemini risings, but in this case it’s more focused on their emotions.
˚♡₊ those with their venus aspecting saturn could be the type that always has a loved one/former loved one, like an ex, coming back even if it’s 6 years later. the person that tries to come back may realize what they had a little too late, they may realize that the loyalty & love you gave them was one of a kind and it’s hard for them to find that same or similar level of stability and commitment elsewhere.
˚♡₊ scorpio risings are lowkey mad funny because of their gemini in the 8th house, but especially if they have planets like sun, mercury, or moon there. & because it’s in the 8th house, it’s not something that many people know about them except for those that are close to them or those they have 8th house synastry with.
^ but when it comes to those with a gem rising or gemini in the 10th house, everyone thinks/knows they’re funny.
˚♡₊ uranus dominants or those with uranus in aspect to mercury/neptune may really enjoy reading/watching sci-fi & dystopian books/movies or tv shows.
˚♡₊ taurus moons are typically blessed with the ability to remain calm & grounded but their emotions can be a bit stubborn and linger for a while. it may take some time for them to get over a breakup or separation from someone they really love.
˚♡₊ those with chiron, pluto, or mercury retrograde in the 5th house or 10th house could have stage fright. they may dislike doing presentations in school or at work. if they have to do something in the presence of others they’d rather it be in a group. but even if they are in a group, like a small choir, they’d prefer to stand in the back or behind others.
˚♡₊ the house where aries or mars falls in your chart can show you the type of men you usually attract:
in the 1st house, if you’re a girl you may attract men who you’d describe as the male version of you, or men who are childish or younger than you.
in the 3rd house it could be your classmates, those in your neighborhood, or those that you see as more of a brother, even if they’re not related to you. for this reason, you may be quick to friend zone them.
in the 6th house it could be the men at your place of work who are always hitting on you or trying to flirt. or men that have an unexplainable desire to take care of you, they may see you as a damsel in distress.
in the 10th house it could be older men who are already established or successful. maybe you easily attract sugar daddies or men that just want to provide for you whether that be money, opportunities, or guidance.
in the 11th house your male friends may be the ones crushing on you or you attract men from all walks of life, meaning you might be "everyone's" type. even if you're not the type that some of these men may usually go for, they could be willing to ignore that when it comes to you.
in the 12th house you may have a lot of secret admirers and men that often day dream about you but won't tell you.
the attraction could be stronger or more noticeable with mars making aspects to planets/asteroids like venus or eros or with venus or eros also in aries. & due to the characteristics of mars, these men may find you intimidating and they could be a bit scared to approach you at first, or they could come on to you a bit aggressively, or they just try too hard to get your attention.
if you read this until the end i hope you enjoyed it & thank you so much for reading. ♥︎♥︎♥︎, those hearts are for you.

JAKE AND TRANSFEMININITY: PART 1
IVE ALWAYS WANTED TO TALK ABOUT THIS im gona make a series of posts about jake because. Im crazy and i like writing (will also help me with writing my scripts bc im bad at doing that but im good at yapping on social media lol)
This first post will be about Grandpa Harley because yknow he was the foundation for Jakes text later.
(Take these with a grain of salt bc this is skaianet archive stuff) but Its stated over and over that HIC in both universes Despised Jake because he was a boy and saw him as an annoyance. (The reason he is even named Jake is because HIC just swapped a letter from Jane to make a male name) and this started a pattern of jake being waved off and disregarded.
Already day fucking one as a baby Jake isnt doing gender right😭 his name is a reminder that he isnt what people want him to be.
So he left home and sought off to find adventure at age 13. His shitty home-life already left him with a fraught relationship to his autonomy and control over his life (Again skaianet archives grab that Salt) But he gets groomed and taken advantage of by an older man. I believe this only further Jakes feelings of helplessness and desire to exert power over something.
Grandpa harley would then proceed to try so hard to embody the Old most admirable western masculine archetype to a T. The wealthy globe trotting adventurer/entrepreneur/inventor with female lovers galore and nothing tying him down! A mans man who isnt afraid to get his hands dirty, wrestle a few animals. Wield violence to exert power and control (hunting animals) I see this as his outlet to exert autonomy and establish an Identity for himself but its at the expense of innocent lives. But its how you are seen as successful and powerful living under patriarchy and imperial capitalism.
Though while being this stereotype of old timey masculinity, he has this fascination with a specific brand of femininity. A delicately composed vision, a photoshoot, a performance. Something unachievable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Its something he brings everywhere he goes. The blue ladies photos and imagery litter both his Hauntswitch house and Jades island house juxtaposing all of his Trophies (taxidermied animals that he obtained through overtly violent masculine means) With his self titled “Beauties/Daughters of Eclectica” (IF THAT ISNT THE MOST OLD GAY MAN THING YOUVE EVER READ. BUT ANYWAY)
Tumblr media
Hussie always describes it as “Haha old man jake is horny for blue ladies” but i think the fact he views them as aspirational figures, and holds them in such high regard, Telling Jade that She should aspire to be like them and maybe one day she could take a place amongst them in their elegance and beauty I believe was him projecting; where he believes he isnt able to emulate them because he is a man so he tells jade to instead. (then we see teen jake who is living in more progressive times with his blue lady equivalents and he Directly attempts to Emulate them)
I think theres something more happening here guys nerm..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A. Claire was a Ballerina, A performer of a very traditionally feminine art that is calculated, asking for pin point accuracy with your body as the instrument. The fact he was her “Biggest fan” I assume he went to see alot of her performances and greatly admired her for her beauty and performance skills.
Ive said it before but I dont think he was attracted to her sexually, I think he wished he could be what she was. Embody a finely tuned image of femininity he was barred from ever exploring, so he was drawn to women who could do what he couldnt. And i believe he conflated his gender envy with attraction (teen jake does this too really hard but well get there later) because they didnt have the terms for gender envy or anything back then. Jake grew up in the 1920s. I assume he believed his feelings were average hetero attraction and not something deeper.
I feel like its an elaborate gag that Jake made himself into a straight up Caricature of the burly gruff Adventurer Man. His houses are overflowing with hunting trophies and weaponry like hes over compensating Its insanely comical when you know Really on the inside hes a gay man with a great affection and identification with the effeminate and is actually really loud about it but everyone brushes it off as “Haha what a kooky old geezer!” OBVIOUSLY ALL OF THIS FUNNY. Homestuck is a tragicomedy, everything is simultaneously one huge elaborate gag but also offering commentary on what its pointing and laughing at, in this case its cisheteronormativity (thats the same for an ungodly amount of cases with this work)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I find it tragic, poetic, and endlessly hilarious that his final moments were spent Roleplaying Heterosexuality with a doll He dressed up and put makeup on; made with his image of femininity, and he dies by his own gun, the same kind of weapons that he used to exert violence upon innocent animals in attempt to posture his masculine persona. The ones he arrived to earth with, he was pushed and destined to embody this image of masculinity because of the world he was sent to and the connotations of violence instilled into those weapons by society and reality by Lord English; a being his alt universe self played a great part in shaping. Who too wields a Gun as one of his signature weapons.
Blows smoke off the red hot irony pistols! 😉
PART 2 WILL COME SOON (will add link when it does)

Dwarf tradition, in The Truth. Long quote but there is so much to unpack here.
"A dwarf needs gold to get married." "What… like a dowry? But I thought dwarfs didn't differentiate between--" "No, no, the two dwarfs getting married each buy the other dwarf off their parents." "Buy?" said William. "How can you buy people?" "See? Cultural misunderstanding once again, lad. It costs a lot of money to raise a young dwarf to marriageable age. Food, clothes, chain mail… it all adds up over the years. It needs repaying. After all, the other dwarf is getting a valuable commodity. And it has to be paid for in gold. That's traditional. Or gems. They're fine, too. You must've heard our saying 'worth his weight in gold'? Of course, if a dwarf's been working for his parents, that gets taken into account on the other side of the ledger. Why, a dwarf who's left off marrying till late in life is probably owed quite a tidy sum in wages—You're still looking at me in that funny way…" "It's just that we don't do it like that…" mumbled William. Goodmountain gave him a sharp look. "Don't you, now?" he said. "Really? What do you use instead, then?" "Er… gratitude, I suppose," said William. He wanted this conversation to stop, right now. It was heading out over thin ice. "And how's that calculated?" "Well… it isn't, as such…" "Doesn't that cause problems?" "Sometimes." "Ah. Well, we know about gratitude, too. But our way means the couple start their new lives in a state of… g'daraka… er, free, unencumbered, new dwarfs. Then their parents might well give them a huge wedding present, much bigger than the dowry. But it is between dwarf and dwarf, out of love and respect, not between debtor and creditor… though I have to say these human words are not really the best was of describing it. It works for us. It has worked for a thousand years." "I suppose to a human it sounds a bit… chilly," said William. Goodmountain gave him another studied look. "You mean by comparison to the warm and wonderful ways humans conduct their affairs?" he said. "You don't have to answer that one. Anyway, me and Boddony want to open up a mine together, and we're expensive dwarfs. We know how to work lead, so we thought a year or two of this would see us right." "You're getting married?" "We want to," said Goodmountain. "Oh… well, congratulations," said William. He knew enough not to comment on the fact that both dwarfs looked like small barbarian warriors with long beards. All traditional dwarfs looked like that.* *Most dwarfs were still referred to as "he" as well, even when they were getting married. It was generally assumed that somewhere under all that chain mail one of them was female and that both of them knew which one this was. But the whole subject of sex was one that traditionally minded dwarfs did not discuss, perhaps out of modesty, possibly because it didn't interest them very much, and certainly because they took the view that what two dwarfs decided to do together was entirely their own business. — Terry Pratchett, The Truth
I super love the footnote, of course, but unexpectedly now I kind of want this version of a dowry to be a thing. I mean, the dowries of the bad old days where the man basically bought the woman from her parents, that's not okay. But this.
I'm a parent, and in no way do I feel like my kid owes me for their upbringing, education, or even (I'm anticipating) a few years of post-college living at home. Not at all. I can't imagine not taking care of them or attaching any strings to that care.
But that's not what this is. Really, ideally, it's a way for parents and children to give each other the gift of the child's independence, their autonomy, their adulthood. To officially and tangibly say that their relationship from this point on is no longer parent/child, but something more on an equal level.
For that matter, I imagine the child is free not to have a relationship with their parents any more at all, if they want. No obligation, no guilt. If parents want to be in their kids' lives when they're adults, they'll need to make sure their kids actually like them as people.
Well. I know that our world of humans doesn't work like this. Even if we put a monetary value on what we owed our parents and paid it, we'd still feel obligated to them, at least a little. Even if our kids paid us back, we'd still feel like we had the right to control them, at least a little.
But man. That g'daraka thing sounds wonderful.

"There's just something about that guy that means I don't trust him"
Okay so, Phil has got the wrong read of Sunny. I'm gonna start off with that. He thinks they're a confident unconcerned material girl who is comfortable in the fact that their dad loves them, and potentially he thinks that they're a bit older than they are? Whereas people who have been able to see her one-on-one with Tubbo know that she's quite a bit more shy and insecure and young than she puts on! He's been taken in by the facade they're putting on, and I think that's part of why he is making jokes and comments that don't hit well. To understate how yesterday went. I think he botched the interaction with Sunny in the musuem and I hope someone tells him that, so he can apologize and fix that. And to be clear, as a phil viewer, this does interesting character work with Sunny as a sensitive child and I'm in favour of Sunnymin pursuing this line of lore. I'm staring with my little cube guy watching googles looking for the result when Phil realizes he scared a child, with great interest.
Because when you look at the musum one in context, my read is that was phil pivoting badly from an out of lore discussion into "oh hey I can explain something to sunny, who is confident and centred and knows her dad adores her" and then jokingly tried to explain the tallulah experience, and then we know from Sunny signs later that that went over like a ton of bricks. Mistake. However, when we're discussing it, I think it's fair to not have that understanding of the lore though, and to take a more pointed, villainous read of the lore! Go for it with discussing phil as cold and brusque to people who aren't his family, discuss Sunny feeling all alone in the musuem, fill your boots.
But guys, when you're discussing this as meta, I am seeing a lot of tags that are really really eager to paint Phil entirely and unequivocally as a villain and specifically cruel to children and cruel within the family, and there's an element to that that concerns me.
Phil, the cc, the guy, acts working class. He has an accent from a particular part of england that is traditionally working class, but he also has storytelling cadences and humour styles and attitudes towards challenges that are very familiar if you are from a working class or lower income community. I'm from an entirely different continuent, but the area I'm from is the sort of area that people make jokes about, and the whole way Phil acts as a CC is very familiar to me. (Note: even when he's talking about travel or stuff, he still has the "worked retail for a decade" mentality and pays attention to the staff and stuff and what they're doing, check out the brazil storytelling vod.)
And Phil's cubito, when he's not deliberately making a character like osmp crowfather, tends to have the mannerisms of someone who is working class. Even if you're not from a lower income area, I think most people can clock this, subconciously if nothing else. He swears a lot! He banters and roasts his friends and family but would absolutely do anything for them. He's informal in a very specific way.
Which is why when people pivot immediately into "why is he threatening and bullying children again" and "his wicked is showing", and "oh he's a evil stepfather/cruel stepmother" and "can we kill the child abusers now" I go Oh No.
Working class mannerisms are already stereotyped as especially prone to domestic abuse, among other ills. If you are going "oh something about him just always seemed like he would be cruel to children" maybe— push back on that one?
In the same way that during the election I was going "that may not be the play" about americans who didn't know what it was but something about Forever was just so angry and agressive (and they were talking from a perspective that viewed forever as a person of colour, regardless of how he's perceived at home), you might be talking from a perspective that encourages you to interpret Phil's behaviour with children as especially suspect. Potentially. Consider it.
And again, Phil biffed it in the musuem. That was a misstep that had me (autistic) going "oh no I see how you got there but you can all but see the sims negative relationship marker thing pop up". But I'd ask you at least to consider that it wasn't intentional cruelty, and that people can make social missteps before you jump immediately to interpreting their actions in the worst light possible.

ᖭི༏ᖫྀ ArtTeacher! Geto x Fem Reader! ᖭི༏ᖫྀ (1.1 Word Count.)
Warnings? Gojo's sweet tooth, shy reader, vibrator use, butt plugs, edging, implied cunnilingus? jealousy, peeking down shirts, sir kink. painting is Geto's love language. +18 Only! No Minors Allowed! (Part Two.)
Author's Notes? still writing my jean and eren x reader fic, but here's something I've been sitting on for a moment!! <3 (Like, reblog, and comment please!)
Tumblr media
ArtTeacher!Geto who enjoys instructing the acrylic painting weekend course. He’s been at it for about a year, lending his Sundays to locals and students. Most looking to sharpen their skills but some seeking a new pastime. Gojo did him a favor, pulling strings at the university to give Geto a classroom (with air conditioning!) rather than the offered room in the student center. However, it was pretty isolated, a feature he learned to love after meeting you.
ArtTeacher!Geto unlocks his door an hour before his class is due to start. Students seldom came early but he left the option open anyway. Sometimes Gojo visited, usually to hand him some small, sweet cake he couldn’t help but rave about. While cleaning the paint palettes and setting up for class, the door slams shut from behind him.
ArtTeacher!Geto whips around, eyes landing on you. He couldn’t help but immediately notice how cute you were, holding art supplies in your arms. The faucet dripped lightly behind him, brushes now forgotten. His thin white button-down shirt was rolled up to his elbows, a feature your eyes lingered on as you started explaining.  “Sorry for the scare, I know your class doesn’t start for another half an hour…”
ArtTeacher!Geto alleviates your worries, insisting he’d never turn away an eager student. He stops what he was doing to help you set up on the easel closest to his desk, asking why he’d never seen you in his class before.
ArtTeacher!Geto can’t listen more intently to you speak. Your voice was melodic to him, echoing slightly from the walls when you laugh at his joke about leaving home. You just moved into the city for a job opportunity and wanted to socialize in a familiar place, the art studio. He noticed some of your paints were used and you held the brush the same way he did. You were no amateur, that was for sure.
ArtTeacher!Geto’s mood goes sour once class starts. He generally enjoyed his classes, but he only wanted to be around you today. Of course, he'll still play his role well- complimenting brush strokes, giving feedback, and staring contemplatively at completed works. The whole time he’s thinking of you on the other side of the room. The image of you, in his well-lit traditionally styled studio, made his heart jump. You’d be wearing the thinnest, finest silk as you lounge for him across a chaise sofa.
He could torture you for hours there- a plug up your ass and a vibrator for your pussy whenever he’d get bored with his work. Geto would paint you for hours, finding joy in matching his paints to your skin tone, lips, and nipples. (Even if the silk limited his view.)
Tumblr media
‘Enjoying the view, Geto?’ You ask, holding your arm over the end of the sofa like he asked. ‘I’ve never seen you take so long for a sketch.’
“Patience, patience,” he cooed, taking another slick glance at your most intimate parts while you yawn. “So many details to take note of, it won’t be a worthy painting of you if I miss a single one.” His easel was positioned for you as well. You had the perfect view of him working and could lean over the other end of the couch to check his progress.
Both of you knew that was out of the question, however. The little pink toy between your legs prevented any unauthorized movement. Geto was a cruel lover- dragging you just to the edge of orgasm only to press the toy to your hole and call you greedy for needing more.
Without warning the toy came to life, buzzing lowly and drawing soft breaths from your mouth. Geto, no longer interested in painting, watched your reactions with the matching remote in one hand as he palmed his cock with the other.
“You won’t cum,” he challenged, turning the vibrator up to a higher setting. He watched as you squirmed in ecstasy, his teasing from earlier coming back for you. Leaning back onto the arm of the couch, you spread your legs for Geto’s view and let him hear the sweet moans he loved so much.
“Missing all those d-details,” you expressed, hips lifting from the sofa in pleasure. Geto couldn’t take his eyes off of you. “Is this part of your creative process?” You asked, sliding the silk robe up your legs and exposing your glistening cunt.
The stool he sat on fell over at the force he used to stand up and make his way over to the couch. Geto’s knees met the floor harshly, hands finding your thighs to push them apart and make room for his face.
“Just need a closer look, is all…”
Tumblr media
ArtTeacher!Geto’s fantasy is ruined at the trilling of his alarm bell. Class was over. His students were already packed and filing out of class, their goodbye’s drowned out by him searching for you.
ArtTeacher!Geto smiles when he catches your eye and waves you over. His smile falters as he watches you wave goodbye to a third-year at the university, some kid with pink hair. Geto pushes his jealousy off; he’s never in competition.
ArtTeacher!Geto has to hide a smirk when you approach his desk, clearly in high spirits.
“Thank you for class, sir. I met a lot of good people,” You gush, and Geto has to push in his chair more at the name. “I’d love to come back, when’s the next-”
“Next Sunday,” He recites it like the gospel now. The tightness in his pants only gets worse as he watches you take a sticky note from his desk and scribble your name and number on it. Geto casts a brief look down your shirt when you bend over to write, silently thankful for a memory he can use later.
ArtTeacher!Geto takes the sticky note from you with an appreciative grin, brushing his fingers with yours and melting when a flustered look crossed your face, breaking eye contact.
“See you next week, sir.”

simmisota calendar overview
while i continue to work on more world overviews. i thought it would be cool to share what a calendar year looks like in my simmisota save file. i will continue to update this post as my calendar changes and holidays are added/removed.
in my game there are 21 day seasons, which gives me a total of 84 days in a year. i did my best to find a good balance of having holidays for my sim to celebrate but also having enough free days for my sims to celebrate birthdays, events and just live normal days.
please note: this calendar overview does not reflect any of my sim's personal birthdays, events nor does it reflect any game festivals or events.
let's get into the specific holidays i like to include in my game:

Hindu Fire God: Agni Deva Talon Abraxas
The Hindu fire god is known as Agni Deva. He is a masculine deity who embodies primordial fire, holy fire, or spiritual fire. Fire is the perfect metaphor for the transformation of unwanted patterns, situations, and personal characteristics. Fire is an expression of both light and heat. These are two fundamentals for the sustenance of life.
Fire Symbolism
Symbolic and physical fire have been associated with religious traditions around the world for ages. Fire means life and energy as well as destruction. Fire can take many forms in the universe including lightning, the rays of the sun, physical fire, and divine radiation. The fire element is one of the fundamental elements of nature in the Vedic Five element system (air, space, fire, water and earth).
Fire and the Five Elements
The Vedic five element system is similar to Chinese feng shui but developed separately in India. The five elements can be used to classify types of artwork, personalities, food and much more. Learn more about the Chinese and Vedic systems in Mantras and the Five Elements.
Origin of the Hindu Fire God
“Agni” is the Sanskrit word for “fire.” “Deva” is a masculine form of God; “Devi” would be a feminine form or goddess. According to Hindu folklore, fire was originally a force that was devouring everything on earth. Then the Creator (Brahma) modified fire so that Lord Agni would be a purifier rather than the destroyer of everything he touched.
Ayurvedic Medicine and Fire Mantras
In the Vedic healing tradition, fire mantras have been used to bring the fire element into the physical body for purification and balance. Fire mantras can also support the health of the liver and digestion. Some traditions view the liver as a physical place where old emotions and memories are held in the body. In addition, mantras to the fire element have traditionally been recommended for maintaining a healthy weight through the support of vigorous metabolism.
Agni Mantra to the Hindu Fire God
The lyrics to this mantra are “OM Agni Devaya Namaha.” OM is the primordial sound often viewed as the hum of the universe. OM focuses the mind and is often used at the beginning of mantras. Devaya means “I serve or give offerings to God.” Namaha means “I bow or I honor.” The meaning of this mantra can be translated as, “I give honor to God as the element of fire.”
Name Translation for Agni Deva
Agni Deva is primordial fire or the lord of fire, sometimes translated as the God of Fire. The word “agni” is further associated with the Latin word “ignis” meaning to ignite or light on fire. Agni Deva can be viewed as a messenger between man and the gods. This is because offerings through fire reach the higher spheres.
Role of Agni Deva in Hinduism
Agni dwells in every home and must be part of all forms of sacrifice and worship. Without Agni, the gods cannot be satisfied through rituals. Agni blesses every occasion including birth, marriage and death. It is Lord Agni who formed the sun and the stars.

okay okay…how would konig propose to reader?would he do it because he really loves her or he wants a wife? i keep trying to wrap my head around him being romantic, but idk if he is able to be tbh
You know, I’m reading this biography of Arnold Schwarzenegger (Total Recall… lol) and he proposed to Maria Shriver on a lake holiday ;__; Like, they were in this boat Arnold was rowing around and I thought: this is so König coded!
Tumblr media
So yep König would take his girl on a boat ride so that she can’t escape when he pops the question. He also wants to propose in the most romantic, intimate possible setting! It doesn't hurt that it's midsummer too, the birds are singing and bees are buzzing and flowers are blooming and there’s a soft breeze playing in her hair, perhaps she’s wearing a dress again because it’s so hot.
König has a tendency of losing his shirt every now and then, but this time, he will intentionally leave it on the shore as the day is one of the hottest summer days yet, and he knows he will get sweaty when he rows that little boat. His Engel suspects nothing, the cutest girl in the world just takes in the lake view, not paying attention to how this guy is rowing a little too enthusiastically for it to be a short simple joy ride on a hot summer day…
And then he just suddenly stops, deciding this is as good a spot as any, puts the oars away and reaches for his pocket. He doesn’t even get to say the words before her hands fly on her mouth when she sees he’s pulling out a ring. König was supposed to drop on one knee and ask for her hand but Engel starts to cry from happiness and he is so excited to go to her and put the ring on her finger that he capsizes the whole thing.
Our overexcited hero then has to save his angel from drowning and the ring slips and ends up somewhere at the bottom of the lake. König spends the rest of the afternoon diving to get it back while Engel relaxes on the grass, naked, trying to dry their clothes in the sun and admiring what a great lung capacity her future husband has O_o deep diving for the ring for like 15 times before he finally finds it and brings it to her, rising from the lake like some Olympian God, muscles wet and bronzed in the sun, smiling so, so wide when he finally gets on one knee before his lady ❤️ They’re both naked like Adam & Eve in paradise, the world around them is like it was the first day when God created it... It’s not what König had planned, but in a way it’s even more romantic than his original idea!
And as for your question does he truly love reader or simply wants a wife… Well, both!? People always say it’s girls who traditionally dream about getting married but in König’s case, he was the boy who dreamed he would some day win a girl and get to take them home as a prize take care of them.
He has never been a dating kinda guy, if König gets up close and personal with you, his main goal is to propose at some point. (Imagine if you wanted a relationship but didn’t want to get married because of this reason or that, didn’t see it necessary or smth, and König would be like… "Ok…" and internally cry himself to sleep :'( )
Not relevant to this but Arnold 'The Austrian Oak' also blurted to Maria’s mom that her daughter has "a nice butt" first time he met the Kennedy family. I cackled. I think that's so autistic/awkward/cringefail König coded too.

The new UK Labour government has declared war on free speech. Within weeks of gaining power, it scrapped a law upholding free speech in universities. In early August, following rioting across England, it announced plans to tighten the regulations on online speech. Perhaps most troubling of all, Keir Starmer is also considering writing a broad definition of ‘Islamophobia’ into law, which would make it almost impossible to criticise Islam and even Islamic extremism.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali – writer, activist and author of Prey: Immigration, Islam and the Erosion of Women’s Rights – returned to The Brendan O’Neill Show last week to discuss the importance of free speech in the battle against Islamist extremism. What follows is an edited extract from the conversation. You can listen to the full thing here.
Brendan O’Neill: Why do you think politicians – even those who would define themselves as ‘liberal’ – are so willing to adopt a phrase like Islamophobia?
Ayaan Hirsi Ali: I think it has to do with guilt about the past. When it comes to the Jews, many European countries did not protect them from Nazi persecution, so there’s definitely a sense that we don’t want to do the same to our Muslim minorities. When I was living in the Netherlands, this was a very potent argument. The Dutch felt extremely guilty about the fact that, in proportion to the Dutch population, more Jews were removed from their homes and sent to concentration camps, than in any other country in Europe. So there’s definitely a sense of ‘let’s not repeat history’. But this is also what makes me so angry, because the Islamists – and to a certain extent, the leftists – will exploit this. They will exploit what is essentially the goodness of human beings, a desire to ‘do right this time round’, in order to do wrong.
While the Islamists want to use democracy as a tool to win power and then abolish democracy, I think the woke left also wants to do something similar. I think this is part of why the far left does rely on the Islamists to vote for them. This is then compounded by the fact that the white working class, which was traditionally the group of people the Labour Party relied on, has faded. So instead, these parties rely increasingly on migrants. This is their new demography. They think they can harness their vote to come to power. People talk about the ‘great replacement’, but it’s actually a ‘great realignment’. The parties which used to represent the working classes now no longer do so. Instead, they now just represent capital.
O’Neill: So what do you make of this idea of the ‘Muslim vote’ in the UK, particularly in relation to the new Labour government?
Ali: I see Keir Starmer as a front for the radical left. He needs the Muslim vote, and the Muslim vote can be relatively easily gained because Islamists can skillfully organise their communities to vote. But the question that Keir Starmer, and other leftist parties across Europe, should ask themselves is this: ‘What are they demanding in return?’ Because the Islamists do have many demands in return. First and foremost, they want censorship. They want ‘Islamophobia’ to be made illegal. And the way they define Islamophobia is any form of criticism of the political agenda of Islam.
If you talk about the radical views being preached in the mosques or the schools, that’s Islamophobia. If you question the fact that some imams are telling their congregations not to assimilate and to distance themselves from ‘the infidels’, that’s Islamophobia. If you talk about the recent examples of sexual abuse against women and girls, some perpetrated by Muslim immigrants, that’s Islamophobia. If you highlight that there is a kind of soft Sharia law in Britain – which is well established in many Muslim communities when it comes to marriages, divorces and inheritances – that’s Islamophobia. The same goes if you want to talk about the fact that there are Muslim women in Muslim households being beaten, curfewed, removed from school, forced to marry and then raped. If you want to expose any of this, you’re committing Islamophobia. And so, all of a sudden, you can’t fight sexual violence against women perpetrated by men.
That is what banning Islamophobia is going to ban, if you allow it. It will ban discussing these issues in the name of human rights and equality. If you question this and ask, ‘Do we really want this parallel society?’, you’ll be called Islamophobic.
These days, the Islamists are less and less secretive about their agenda. This can be seen recently in the blatant anti-Semitism in some Muslim communities. But if you bring this stuff up, and try to get politicians to discuss it, you’re again accused of Islamophobia. This is the question that we have to ask governments, particularly the leftist governments that are trying to outlaw Islamophobia. It is criticism of Islam that’s going to be banned. Journalists and newspapers will no longer be able to exercise their free-press rights to investigate crimes that are being committed.
O’Neill: The unwillingness of the woke left, even the moderate left, to ever criticise radical Islam is extraordinary. We really are in a difficult situation, aren’t we?
Ali: Absolutely. We’re emboldening them. The woke left is the enemy of civilisation, and they say so themselves. They’re deconstructing everything. On the other hand, the Islamists are also clearly an enemy of civilisation – our Western civilisation in particular. We’ve got to stand up to these two forces now. The silent majority has to stand up and stop this before they stop us. And the only way to do that is through freedom of speech, which is exactly what they want to take away from us.
As voters, we still have the capacity to organise, vote, find new leaders and reject what is being imposed on us. In the decay of the universities, alongside the censorship in schools, there’s definitely a concerted effort to silence us. Most worryingly of all, I think, is what we’ve seen after the riots and how the government has responded. Whereas previously you might be cancelled or piled-on online, now the elites are using the law. British prisons, which are effectively full, are clearing out convicted criminals, some of whom have done all sorts of horrible things, to put people in prison for putting words and images online. They’re using the awesome powers of the state to censor and to silence us. Soon we could be banned from saying things that are, in this very sinister phrase, ‘legal but harmful’. This should be met with the greatest opposition of all time. All of us need to go out into the streets and say, ‘stop right there’.

A modern Islamic insurgence is no longer conducted with swords on horseback, but with the aggressors using the language of victimhood.

Comfort Items
Part Four: Thunderstorms Synopsis: Twin princes had been cursed centuries ago, forced to become mere items and subjected to whatever their owners wanted them to endure. Cuddles, pressure, or even being tossed out or passed down, until they could overcome their own arrogance and learn what it's like to love and to be loved, in all senses of the word. Taglist: @arodynamic-enby @arizona-tate @asdfghjklicia @hypnossanders @transmanrayner @under-the-blue-moonlight
“Logan, I hate to break it to you, but I don’t think this is the way to your house,” Janus comments, as Logan intentionally takes a turn leading him further away from his street. “I understand math was a bit extreme today, but I didn’t think it’d scramble your brain.”
“I don’t understand what math has to do with my navigational skills,” Logan replies, as he continues confidently in the “wrong” direction. “In fact, I know exactly where I’m trying to go, and it’s not my house.” Then, as he pauses on the sidewalk and turns to Janus, Logan asks “why does that affect you anyway? The way to my house wouldn’t be the way to your house, either.”
Janus shrugs. “I thought we could spend a bit of time together.”
“You spent ‘a bit of time’ at my house yesterday. So much time, in fact, we ended up sharing my bed.”
“Am I not allowed to want to see you two days in a row?”
Logan keeps walking. “That’s not what I said. I more so meant that we already are together most of the week, so your phrasing doesn’t make much sense in that context.”
“Have you ever considered that this is why you’re bullied?”
Narrowing his eyes, Logan gives Janus a displeased look. The bruises on his ribcage throb as a reminder of his past altercations, in which he was left rather annoyingly hurt. Though a lot of the dark marks have faded into a pale yellow, they’re still there, and they’re still sore. “If you’re trying to make a joke, it’s not very funny.”
Janus looks briefly uncomfortable, more so out of guilt than anything else, before reiterating “why are we straying so far from your house? You never gave an explanation.”
“To avoid being tossed into a dumpster again.”
“Right, right. And where are we going to avoid that unfortunate scenario?”
“The library.”
Immediately, Janus is groaning. “The library? Seriously? We could have just lingered back at the school to avoid bullies! Now we have to walk all the way across town twice!”
“It’s not all the way across town,” Logan counters, “that’s a hyperbole. It’s only about a fifteen minute walk from here. And it’s nice outside; I thought you’d appreciate the sunlight.”
“I’d appreciate the sunlight more if we were suntanning on the beach.” Janus adjusts his backpack straps. “I don’t enjoy carrying around textbooks for an extra thirty minutes on top of the seven hours I have to lug them around at school.”
That has Logan smiling a little. “As if there are actual textbooks in your bag.”
Janus - who had fallen back to do his dramatic trudging - jogs a little to catch up with Logan, so that they’re walking side by side. “Fine. Maybe there isn’t much schoolwork in there. Sue me.”
“I don’t understand why you carry Roman around with you, honestly,” Logan then says, as the library comes into view. Though Logan isn’t currently in any physical danger, he feels himself relax as he sees it, flooded with a wave of relief as though this entire time he’s been attempting to escape from assailants, even though he’s sure they’re probably currently waiting for him on his street. “I feel as though he’s more likely to be damaged at school than he is at home.”
“With all the bug spray we drench everything with, I doubt that.” Janus then jabs his fingers into Logan’s back, feeling it’s way more firm than his own, but also quite a bit bigger than it traditionally is. “Besides, at least I have a reason. What’s your excuse?”
Logan’s cheeks go pink. “I. Well. We’ve already had this conversation before!”
“Yes, yes, but you never having owned a toy before doesn’t justify carrying it around like an old baby blanket. In fact, it’s quite odd that you’re this attached to this new thing, considering you’ve never had the opportunity to get attached to stuffed animals in the past. It isn’t nostalgia, and you’re barely a child anymore, so I doubt it’s because it makes you feel safe. Hm…” Janus thinks, tapping his chin as he ponders what the reason could be. “And we can’t say separation anxiety, because you made it very clear that wasn’t the case.”
Logan huffs. “That’s because it’s not. I just don’t know what I’m supposed to do with him.”
“Him? Not ‘it?’”
Giving Janus an unhappy look, Logan crosses his arms over his chest. “I’m serious. Am I supposed to just leave it on my bed? Against the pillows? Is it a toy or a decoration, and if it’s a toy why is it such high quality, and if it’s a decoration then why was it clearly made to be cuddled? It’s all… confusing.”
“You’re the only person I think I’ve seen have a crisis over what to do with a stuffed bear.”
“Well… why do you bring Roman everywhere? If you can’t just leave him at home then why keep him at all?”
Janus pauses for a moment, and then shrugs as he grabs the library door for Logan, and holds it open for him. “I’m not sure.”
“You stole it, didn’t you? Why’d you steal it?”
Janus finds himself a bit baffled at the question. “I’m… I don’t know. I’m a klepto; I see something, I take it!”
“You’re not a klepto. There has to be a reason.”
“I think you’re applying too much logic to a situation I was just trying to tease you about.”
Logan smiles again. “Technically, I teased you first.” He greets the librarian politely, and she nods back at him, as Janus follows Logan to the back of the building, far from the entrance and other people, as Logan finds a table and sets his bag down.
Their words die down once they’re both settled and seated, with Janus unzipping his bag to pull Roman out, setting him on the table. Logan does the same, putting them side by side.
“I assume you’re not going to look for a book or anything?” Logan asks, as he then pulls out a folder of schoolwork. He sets it on the desk in front of his own seat, though doesn’t open it.
Janus folds one leg over the other and gets comfortable, before pulling out his phone. “Nope.”
“Okay. I’m going to go search for a novel or two; would you please stay with the bears?”
Grinning at Logan, Janus coos “scared they’re going to get stolen?”
His words make Logan roll his eyes. “Admittedly, yes. We’re near the children’s section, and I don’t want a kid coming over and snatching either of the stuffed toys thinking they’re library property. Then I’d have to take them back, and the child would cry, and it’d be a mess.”
Nose scrunching, Janus responds “I hate kids,” and that’s assurance enough in Logan’s mind.
He walks off to go find himself a good read, while Janus ignores the two stuffies in favor of scrolling through his half-dead phone, which has been drained due to its constant use throughout the school day. There’s nothing else interesting for him to do.
That is, until he gets a bit curious about the stuffed animals. They are rather high quality - even Remus, who was found in poor condition by Logan. They almost look like build-a-bears in terms of their design, though they’re a bit smaller than typical build-a-bears would be. Maybe they were a limited release of some sort?
Though, as Janus reaches over and flicks another look at Roman’s tag, he’s reminded that there’s no brand. Just a name.
So, he lifts his phone and takes a picture of the two, before deciding to do a cross-image search, hoping to find a quick answer of sorts on google. And yet… there’s nothing.
Of course, pictures of stuffed animals do pop up. White bears, brown bears, green bears, even prince-adjacent bears, but there’s no exact match whatsoever. Even limited edition beanie babies would have some obscure image posted once in their life! Maybe… maybe these were hand-made? But being handmade wouldn’t explain the tags. Only companies do that.
Janus makes a face of frustration as he plucks Roman off the table, kicking his feet up onto it after as he holds Roman against his thighs.
“Did your company go defunct or something?” Janus asks, though he obviously doesn’t expect an answer. “Or were you recalled? Those seem like the only explanations as to why you and your brother don’t seem to exist anywhere online.”
Online? Roman tries to question - only having heard vaguely of the internet - but he’s stuck being silenced.
Janus squeezes Roman’s midsection suddenly, before poking at the sash crossing over Roman’s body. “Maybe you were made overseas… you look like you’re mocking royalty.”
Roman would gasp if he could. Mocking? He wants to say, incredibly offended, I am royalty!
Remus meanwhile would be cackling at Janus’s words. How brash a peasant, and one who looks like a mess himself! It’s almost ironic, considering the bits and pieces Remus has heard, that Janus would be so judgemental towards a stuffed animal when he himself seemed to live in filth. But the idea of Roman being undoubtedly upset by Janus’s casual comments is entertaining enough for Remus to truly not care, instead picturing Roman’s spoiled, pouty lip jutted out and him stomping his feet as he tries to argue against the pointed criticisms from their kingdom’s citizens.
“Golden straps? A sash? It’s very… costume-y.” Janus then leans back a bit to get a good look at Remus. “And don’t even get me started on you.”
I could say the same thing, Remus thinks, as if he could say anything at all.
But Janus is quiet after that, keeping Roman in his lap as he goes back to mindless nonsense on his phone, and sits quietly until Logan comes back with three books neatly stacked in his arms.
Two of them he sets on the floor, and one he hits lightly against Janus’s legs, softly scolding “don’t put your feet up on the table, it’s rude,” before setting his book on the desk himself.
Janus rolls his eyes, but brings his legs back anyway. “What books did you get?”
“This one is about single variable calculus in order to help me further understand the derivatives we’re completing,” Logan says, as he pulls a worksheet from his school folder. He fetches a pencil from his bag, and opens the textbook to a pre-sought chapter, going between reading it and filling out his paper.
“I can see that,” Janus mutters in reply, making a face of disgust. “I thought you understood derivatives.”
“I just want more practice.”
Janus thinks Logan doesn’t need the practice, but alas, he looks over at the other two books piled by Logan’s bag. “What about the others?”
“One’s nonfiction that delves into detail about space exploration, written by someone who spent a month on the international space station. It’s full of thorough observations about the nuances of zero gravity and life in different conditions, making comparisons between Earth and space in various ways in order to paint a larger picture of what life would be like among the stars.” Logan then glances at the second book. “The other’s uh… it’s fiction. A fable. I didn’t pick it out purposefully; one of the staff members told me they were planning on tossing a bunch of old books.”
Logan sets his pencil down, and scoots his chair back to grab the fictional work from beneath the space book. He holds it in his lap, brushing his fingers gently over the visibly worn cover.
“I’m carrying too much already to have taken more than three, but I’ll have to come back at some point before they throw out everything. It’s so saddening to see so many books just be… trashed. I have a half-empty bookcase they’d look perfect on, though. And I’ve been searching for new books to read anyway.”
You seem like quite the snoutband, Remus scoffs internally, though if he knew the modern term “nerd” he’d probably have just said that instead.
“But what’s the fable about,” Janus rephrases, and Logan turns it around.
“I don’t know… I admittedly just grabbed a book at random.” His thumb glides over an inscribed synopsis on the book’s backside. “Here. I’ll read the given description. ‘A tale of two princes who tended more to themselves than their kingdom, cared more about fun than leading fiercely, and who ultimately met their demise at the hands of a fair witch. And this is a story children are told. And children tell their children. And everyone knows it. So it is fabled.’ Huh.”
“Sounds lame,” Janus yawns.
Sounds… familiar, Roman thinks.
“But at least it’ll be a nice contrast to what you read normally,” Janus then continues. “Maybe you’ll realize fiction is better than fact every once in a while.”
“Doubtful,” Logan murmurs, as he flicks the fable open to the first page. No author’s note - which he’s not too surprised by, considering the book's apparent age - but there’s no written publication date or copyright sign. In fact, as Logan skims the first few pages, and then looks at the book’s spine, he can’t even find an author. His brows narrow in a mixture of confusion and frustration. “Do you think there are many books titled ‘A Tale Of Two Princes?’”
“I don’t know. Why?”
Logan hands Janus the book, who looks completely uninterested in it. He gives Logan a bored look, but Logan just directs him to where the author’s name would be. “There’s no author listed,” he explains, “and no date of publication. It’s like this is a self-published, uncredited draft, but it’s bound with a cover so I don’t understand.”
“Maybe it’s someone wanting to stay anonymous,” Janus reasons, as he pushes the fable back into Logan’s hands. “If I wrote fairy tales I’d want to stay hidden too.”
“Be nice,” Logan scolds, though he bites his lip as he flips through the book. “Honestly, though, the lack of identification in this book makes me significantly more interested in it.”
“More interested than you are in your calc book?”
Logan lets out a singular, clearly fake laugh, and answers “yes, of course. My calculus textbook was written by Marcus Antcormick. ‘A Tale Of Two Princes’ was written by someone we don’t know. I feel like one of those is significantly more fascinating to think about.”
“I’m not so sure about that.” Janus kicks his feet back onto the table, setting his soles atop Logan’s hardcover textbook, though his soles land carelessly on the book’s open pages. “I think an unattributed calculus book would be way weirder than a one-off fairy tale. One of these things has actual supposed importance and credibility basically tied to the qualifications of the author. Anybody can write a made-up schtick. Not just anyone could write a calc walkthrough.”
“Anyone could write a mathematics book,” Logan argues. “They’d just have to learn thoroughly about the material. It’s not impossible.” He then stands and pulls Janus’s feet off his book, before sitting once more. He sets the fable back on the ground as he resumes his writing. “I’ve thought about eventually writing textbooks, but I’m not good at… simplifying material. I understand it as-is and I have a hard time understanding why others can’t.”
“You think they should be able to?”
“No.” Logan lets out a hum. “I know everybody thinks differently. I just don’t understand what it is they’re not understanding. If it was English, I’d get it. A lot of documents or passages we have to analyze are incredibly verbose, redundant, or utilize vernacular far beyond what some people our age have been exposed to. But math is just numbers, and most of us learn the same equations at the same time.” His pencil taps against his paper, and he looks towards Janus with a rather contemplative glimmer in his eyes. “I guess… I guess me not understanding why they struggle with math is similar to them not understanding the equations.”
“I suppose.” Janus groans as he stretches out in his chair, holding Roman tight against his chest. “I think the logarithmic is just bullshit, personally.”
“It’s important.”
“It’d be important if I was planning on writing a mathematics textbook. Luckily, I’m not-”
Janus cuts himself off abruptly as he feels his phone vibrate in his lap, where he’d set it while talking to Logan. He lifts Roman slightly to glance at the screen, and sighs as he answers the phone. He turns his face away from Logan to further muffle the voice on the other end, and speaks quietly himself, though Logan hears him say “okay,” and “I already said I would,” followed by Janus sighing when the phone’s hung up.
Slowly, Logan closes his textbook. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah. I just have to go home like… now, which is farther away from here than your house is.” Janus looks legitimately peeved for a second, though quickly plays it off with a light joke of “I’m tempted to come home with you anyway and take a few snacks from your pantry as comeuppance for dragging me along, but I'm feeling kind today.”
“You chose to follow me,” Logan reminds him. “Why do you need to rush home anyway?”
“Delivery. My parents need me to bring it inside.”
Though Janus doesn’t specify what’s in the package, or even if it’s valuable, Logan knows why he has to bring it inside. Living in a not-great area means it can be swiped right off their porch in a matter of minutes, regardless of if it’s pricey or not. And Janus’s parents probably aren’t home anyway.
Janus sighs as he stuffs Roman back into his bag, being weirdly careful not to squish or force his arms into any uncomfortably bent position, and then slings it right onto his shoulders. As he stands, Logan can see one of his legs trembling, as if overexerted.
“All this walking is going to kill me,” Janus mutters, before telling Logan outright “you really need to learn to drive. It’d be easier on my knees.” He groans. “Ugh, I’m getting so old.”
“I know how to drive, I just don’t have a car,” Logan replies, before adding “and you’re not ‘getting so old.’ You haven’t even turned eighteen yet.”
Janus raises his arms above his head to stretch them out. “God help everyone else the day I do.” Once he’s satisfied with the ache being alleviated from most of his body, he gives Logan a short wave, and then heads out, walking fast to hopefully get home sooner, leaving Logan alone, with Remus still seated across from him on the table.
“I guess I should head out too, huh?” Logan says aloud, though he’s speaking to no one in particular. He looks towards Remus the same way he’d look expectantly towards a friend for a response, but of course, none comes.
In fact, even if Remus could respond, he’s too focused on the proclamation of Janus’s age, and thus Logan’s own assumed age! Not even eighteen? Why, neither are we! He thinks. Him and Roman never reached eighteen years of age… not before they were turned, at least. And while the argument could be made that technically they’re years and years older than they actually are, they’ve spent most of that time in a weird, blacked-out state. Though they were cursed, at least whoever cursed them was merciful enough to not make them constantly aware. If they were stuck awake every moment of every day, they’d probably be way more miserable… even more so than they currently are!
I can’t imagine being this pathetic before eighteen years, Remus then scoffs. Is this what you do all day? Read literature and bore each other with meaningless anecdotes? Where’s the fun? The excitement? Didn’t we meet inside a waste bin?
Logan packs his folder back into his bag, and tucks Remus in there as well, much to Remus’s disdain.
I hate being cramped in here, he’d complain, if he could. I’ve spent most of my time in this form in darkness, and you constantly shove me back into it. Honestly, I’m starting to miss the trash!
Though he’s placed in the front of the backpack, he can still feel the pressure of Logan’s many items pressing on him from all sides as Logan adjusts the bag’s straps on his shoulders, and then gathers up his pile of books.
He hands them to the librarian along with his library card - which he keeps neatly secured on his keyring - and then packs those into his bag as well. It makes it heavier, and he struggles to get it zipped, but eventually he manages, though Remus ends up crushed by the books being smashed into his face and body.
Do you really need so many? He groans, as he’s surrounded by literature from all sides. He does get the opportunity to read the back of the fable, though, recognizing it as being the one Logan read aloud earlier.
It sounded incredibly familiar… not in a way he’s read before - he wasn’t much for reading, personally - but instead as something he’s… experienced.
‘A Tale Of Two Princes’ Remus reads. Huh. Sounds fucking immature. I expected something more… engaging, Logan. Truly, I’m disappointed.
Reading in general was quite a drag, but having an owner he seemed to enjoy it was going to bother Remus to no end. At least the kids that owned him would take him on adventures to the park or leave him to be chewed up by their pets! And while unpleasant, Remus found he quite enjoyed how interesting it was to feel the pain of wood chips or dog fangs scratching into his fake fur. He would even go so far as to say he liked it! But Logan was just so… boring.
Remus is bounced around with every step Logan takes on his trek home, and since he’s learned through context over the years what “cars” were, he can’t help but agree with Janus about the fact Logan should truly invest in one.
Logan walks a lot quicker home than he did to the library, assured that no teenage bully would linger for more than ten minutes on his street. Nobody his age is patient enough for that, especially when that waiting would just lead to a brief and painful physical encounter. Their mindset is most likely that of “we could beat him up another day.” And they could… unless Logan made going to the library a consistent stop. Hm. Maybe he’d have to finish those books tonight; then he could exchange them tomorrow.
It was unlikely, considering he still had work to do (such as that unfinished worksheet, and some brief literature homework), but he’d have free time tonight!
As he nears his porch, he sees that the clouds are greying overhead, and hums to himself as he believes there’s probably going to be a storm tonight. Perhaps he’d set out a kettle and sip tea through the thunder - he wasn’t going to be able to sleep with the noise anyway.
As he heads inside, he’s greeted with both of his parents being home.
“Hi,” Logan greets them, as he moves through the door. His mother - Caroline - turns around. She’s on the phone with somebody, notably listening more than speaking, but she gives him a nod of acknowledgement. His father - Anthony - has documents laid out on the table. Logan peers at them, and sees printed out screenshots of messages, though he can’t read the texts contained within. Anthony doesn’t respond, and Logan presumes he’s too engrossed in his work to be aware of his surroundings.
He walks around them to the cupboard, which he fetches a kettle from. He fills it with tap water, and then sets it on the stove to boil. Then, he heads up to his room.
He sets his bag on the ground and pulls out his books. He sets the calculus textbook on his desk along with a few folders filled with the work he’ll have to do tonight, and then sets the other two books and Remus on his bed. Remus is tucked up against his pillows, comfortably pressed in the corner of two, and the books are stacked before him. Logan then sets his bookbag at the foot of his bed.
Pushing his door open with his foot, Logan makes sure he’ll be able to hear the pot whistle from upstairs, and then sits at his desk to finish his math worksheet.
Since he got about halfway through at the library, he’s able to finish it up by the time he hears the kettle begin to whistle, and waits until it’s screeching to finally head downstairs and tend to it. He’s down there for a bit, leaving Remus bored in his bedroom, until he comes back up with a mug with a tea bag in it. Logan dips the bag repeatedly into the mug, and then stirs the tea with a spoon, before bringing it to his mouth and blowing some steam away before taking a sip. He sets the cup on the corner of his desk and sits back down, as rain slowly starts to beat against his window.
Remus is left incredibly understimulated as he rests in Logan's unentertaining room. There’s barely anything to look at along the walls, on his desk - there’s nothing anywhere!
Remus couldn’t imagine having such a drab residence. His own room was filled with golden trinkets and the bones of game he’d skillfully hunted. He had taken time to pick their bones clean and smooth out their imperfections before framing the structure around his room or fixing the innards into decor. Rib bones turned to windchimes, or small hearts pickled in a jar for a splash of colour amongst his shelves.
Though, his most prized decorations were ripped outright away from his citizens. An indigo scarf yanked from a woman, pregnant with child. And a golden chain, thin and handcrafted with the minimal material found panning in the river. Remus loved how pretty they looked ripped up and hanging messily from hooks or nails in his walls. Honestly, if Logan could ever fight back against those people picking on him, Remus encourages him to take a souvenir! At least it’d make his room less mind-numbing!
A large crack outside has Logan turning slightly in his chair, taking a swig from his mug as he watches the rain pour down outside, a lot harder than it was moments earlier. As Logan watches, there’s a flash of lightning, brighter than even the light in his room, and it’s gone as soon as it hits.
The wind is loud against his window, and Logan sighs as he hopes the storm seizes soon. He’s got school tomorrow, and would rather not be up all night.
He turns back to his work, and finishes up with his borrowed calculus textbook, before closing it and setting it on the ground next to him. As he moves on to his literature work, he’s once again absorbed in his writing, and Remus is back to listening to the raging storm mixed with the scratching of paper.
At some point, Logan heads back downstairs to get a refill of tea, and Remus is able to hear a very muffled conversation between him and his supposed caregivers.
“Do you have to go back to work right now?” Logan asks. “It’s late.”
“It’s surgery,” Caroline responds. “Just because it’s dark outside doesn’t mean my patient can postpone her liver failure. We just found a donor.”
“It’s storming pretty bad out there,” Anthony interjects, before he lets out a long sigh. “But, I suppose the rain won’t stop death, either. Just… drive safe.”
“I will.”
“I love you,” Logan says, followed by the front door slamming. No words follow after, and Logan comes back upstairs with a second cupful of heated tea. He stirs it slowly, but doesn’t drink it. He turns back to his work, but Remus doesn’t hear him write at all. Just soft drinking and silence.
It isn’t until Anthony comes upstairs sometime later that Remus is finally greeted with something interesting.
“Hey… uh… your friend is outside.”
Logan gives him a weird look. “What?”
“At the front door.”
Logan stands up and heads downstairs again, and Anthony glances at the bed, giving Remus a funny look. Remus would stick his tongue out at him if he could. As Anthony leaves the room, Logan’s stepping back into it, with Janus following closely behind him. Janus is completely soaked; even the bag he’s wearing sags with water.
“I hate the rain,” Janus hisses, shivering in his sopping clothes. “And your dad just… left me on the porch!”
“I think he was giving me the opportunity to turn you away,” Logan says in response, as he digs comfortable, baggy clothes out from the back of his dresser. He gives them to Janus, who rushes to strip out of the wet fabric clinging to his body. “I think he was also shocked to see you at the front door for once.”
“I’m not going to scale a tree in the middle of a storm,” Janus huffs. “Last thing I need is to be struck by lightning.”
He pulls on Logan’s clothes, and immediately throws himself into Logan’s bed, shamelessly bundling himself in the blankets. His eyebrows are creased, seemingly stressed. Remus can hear his teeth chatter. As thunder booms outside, Janus’s knuckles go white on the sheets. Even his face is pale.
As Logan scoops up Janus’s clothes and dumps them into his hamper, he asks “what are you doing out in the storm anyway?”
“Roof was leaking,” Janus mumbles. “And there was a draft. It was chilly.”
“I’ll see if I can find my mom’s heating pad.” Logan wipes his damp hands on his pants, before turning back to Janus, who is buried so deep in the covers that only half his face is visible. His eyes are intensely fixated on the window, and he looks shaken anytime lightning strikes outside, and nearly winces with each loud crackle of thunder. So, Logan asks “are you alright?”
Immediately, he’s met with a glare. “That’s a stupid question,” Janus snaps.
Logan looks unphased. “Don’t be rude; I’m just concerned,” he says, as he kneels to grab Janus’s bag. Opening it, he’s not surprised to see Roman, though Roman is just as wet as everything else. He picks him up and squeezes one of his paws, frowning when water begins to drip down the sides of his fingers. But it’s not like Janus’s wet hair wasn’t already soaking into his pillows, so he gives Roman to Janus despite not loving the idea of water in his bed.
“I don’t need this teddy bear,” Janus huffs, as he takes Roman anyway. “What I need is for the storm to cease.”
“Storms don’t just magically stop.”
“They should!” Janus dramatically hits his hands against the mattress, only to jump at another burst of thunder. He swallows the spit in his mouth, before jokingly mumbling “the weather should just… do as I say.”
“You sound like a spoiled prince.”
Both Roman and Remus immediately make noises of complaint, but of course those pitiful disagreements never reach the two humans’ ears.
Though, the mention of princes has Logan humming as he reaches to grab his fable. He sets it on his bed, and then rolls Janus gently over, until he’s laying against the pillows stacked neatly against the wall, and pressing into Remus with his shoulder. Both of them are uncomfortable with this position, so Janus grabs Remus and holds him too, as Logan slides into bed next to him.
He gets under the blankets just enough to cover his thighs, and then sets up the book.
Janus gives him a look. “Are you really going to read right now?”
“Of course,” Logan simply responds. “I’m almost finished with my work anyway, so taking some time to read won’t hinder my productivity.” Logan then glances Janus’s way, and gives him a small, considerate smile. “I… also assumed a distraction would be appreciated.”
“I don’t need to be distracted from anything,” Janus replies, through gritted teeth, though Roman would have to disagree with him considering how hard Janus is squeezing his plush body. If Roman could choke, he’d be fighting for his life right now. Despite his words however, Janus cuddles closer to Logan’s legs as lightning flashes throughout the room.
“Consider this an excuse for me to practice reading aloud, then,” Logan says, as he flips open to the first page of the fairytale. There’s not even a table of contents, which bothers Logan a bit. “We can start at the beginning. ‘Chapter One. At the peak of spring, when birds were singing and flowers were blossoming, when orchards were graced with precious fruit and fields tilled in preparation, twins were born within the grandeur castle. Few were present for the birth, aside from the queen, king, and midwife, but there was a feeling of premonition that spread throughout the village that day. A horrible, distressing feeling, as if the citizens somehow knew the horrors to come…’”
Though Remus hates books, and Roman was struggling in Janus’s tight grip, they both can’t help but listen to this tale. Again, they’re both struck with a strange sense of familiarity, in the worst possible way. Logan’s voice remains neutral, if not a tad interested as he reads, as Janus stays silent, with the only disturbance being the storm raging on just outside. But even that doesn’t distract the twins… no, they’re stuck taking in Logan’s words, trying to recall where they first heard them. Sometime in the past… sometime very, very far past.

Magaambya Attendant (Pathfinder Second Edition Archetype)
Tumblr media
(art by LorenzoTonetto on DeviantArt)
(Oh goodness, I must have been supremely tired last night, as I forgot to post this. Never fear, Tuesday’s entry will be coming later today as well)
Of all the magical academies I’ve seen in fiction, Magaambya is probably one of my favorites. Founded on the teachings of the man who singlehandedly saved the traditions of arcane magic during the Age of Darkness and shored up by his philosophy of magic for all and used for the betterment of all, it truly has become Oldmage Jatembe’s shining legacy, where students are taught not just to master magic, but how to use it to better others… and most learn these lessons well. Most of them.
In any case, today we’re looking at the Magaambya Attendant, an archetype associated with the school. While not every graduate has this archetype, those that do represent those that have taken the lessons, both philosophical and magical, to heart. This isn’t to say that others slack on their lessons, rather that the Attendants draw power directly from their lessons rather than just philosophically.
Additionally, these attendants often also specialize in the lessons of one of the five branches of scholarship at the Magaambya: the Cascade Bearers who value creativity and imagination in magic; the Emerald Bough, who favor camaraderie and goodwill; Rain-Scribes, who adapt and learn from their mistakes; Tempest-Sun Mages who value valor and the courage to let their own views be challenged and changed; and finally Uzunjati, storyteller masters that seek wisdom in the lore and knowledge of old.
No matter how they specialize, however, they are still students of the same philosophy, so let’s take a look at how they apply what they have learned!
The base dedication of this archetype grants training in either the primal or arcane arts, as well as a basic cantrip in either of those traditions. Additionally, one must pick affiliation with one of the aforementioned branches, and finally, since they are associated with the same school, one can also take the halcyon speaker archetype alongside this one without the restriction one normally sees with archetypes.
Traditionally, Magammbya mages wear masks, often enchanted, when performing their duties, but some find, whether by accident or design, that their mask takes on a life of it’s own, becoming their familiar. While not all can talk, they can all detach from the wearer’s face and move about with a body composed of multicolored light, and can of course pretend to be an ordinary mask when the need strikes.
Naturally, some attendants master magic to further bolster their mask familiars, granting them new abilities.
Cascade Bearers demonstrate surprising flexibility, able to alter their spells on the fly with metamagical techniques they haven’t properly mastered yet, though only once a day.
Emerald Boughs are expected to travel beyond the school and potentially recruit new students. As such, they have a knack for adapting quickly to any culture they find themselves in.
Meanwhile, Rain-Scribes learn how to sustain their bodies entirely with ambient magic, eliminating the need for food, though they can also overclock it to stay awake while resting normally at the cost of needing food later.
The Tempest-Suns are perhaps the most likely to engage in combat, so they’d developed techniques to redirect the flow of their attacking spells, minimizing damage to their allies while also redirecting some of the energy to ward them for a few moments as well.
The Storytellers of the Uzunjati know dozens of tales, and they can leverage that knowledge to recall important tales and impress others with their knowledge of the old wisdom.
Later on, Cascade Bearers learn to be more flexible with the sources of their magic, able to add occult and divine magics to their halcyon spell arsenal.
Travelling so far from home, many Emerald Boughs find it useful to store away certain items for later use, and learn to create a small pocket dimension to store items that lasts as long as they remain conscious. Perfect for hiding an item that cannot be allowed to be stolen, or emergency tools for a situation.
Rain-Scribes are themed around adaptability, so some master learn to turn aside that which would hinder them. By shrouding themselves in magic, they can stride easily through difficult terrain, destroying or casting aside the inhibiting elements of which as they do so, with not even magically manipulated terrain being safe.
The combat expertise of Tempest-Suns continues as they learn how to expend unused spell energy to blunt and block incoming attacks, robbing them of the force to wound.
Masters among the Uzunjati can recall information and create a story about it on the fly, entertaining and gaining useful information in one act.
True masters among the Uzunjati might also learn to improve their stories further, providing useful advice and maybe a little guiding magic to bolster their allies when fighting a foe that inspired the recalled story in the first place.
As you can see, this archetype is primarily all about branching into one of the many schools of thought and roles associated with the academy, granting abilities that are thematic to what each branch of the school favors and represents, though obviously some are more flashy than others. This also means that an individual can only take a maximum of three feats (four for Uzunjati) from this archetype, making it relatively unobtrusive if you want to blend it with its sister archetype, the Halcyon Speaker, or take it by itself for some practical abilities that speak to the character’s role and vocation.
Like I said before, neither this archetype nor the Halcyon Speaker are required to represent a graduate of the Magaambya, but they both help represent someone who has learned to incorporate the unique teachings of the academy into their magical arsenal, and it’s nice to have such an option. Additionally, I like that in addition to breaking down the barriers between arcane and primal magic, the branches of the school are not broken down by schools of magic, but by philosophy in how magic is learned and applied. This goes a long way towards justifying how the Thassilonian schools are not universal, and why the schools of magic in the remastered version are more broad in their theming. (though I’ll still be using them for those that want them.
The dry desert consumes the weak, that is what Torva, a beastkin orc woman, grew up understanding, but when her latent talent for the druidic arts manifested, she was sent off to the Oasis, an impossible green city in the middle of the sands, to harness her magic at their academy. There, she encountered the kind and unjudging school environment and began to question what it meant to be weak or strong.
Instructor Kanzarato has a reputation at the school, and not just because he’s a dragon! The brine dragon wyrm tries very hard, but has trouble thinking of his classroom as anything other than his territory. However, once he has warmed up to new students, he is the first and fiercest to protect them.
Charming and quick with a joke, the storyteller Uban has many a tale they could spin, including those of the days when the magic academy of the White Valley still stood, teaching a blending of every source of magic. In the late night, when most have gone to bed, he confides that though they are outlawed and hunted, the mages of that school do still remain, bringing kindness and wisdom to those that need it. He meets any suggestion that he is one such mage with a soft chuckled and a wink.

i love star trek bc it's actually a high school theater production most of the time. We focus a lot on the over-acting, theatricality of the actors and the directors, and that's all well and amazing, but /I/ want to focus on the /TECH/ bc ASHAijnjsdnbhgaARREghghhuuagjkshdmhbAHJBSSHJHIEJBnkjsdjhbsdhjBmahbsjshsbHkjnswkjshsn yea.
FIRST THE SETS?!? they're so silly and stupid? i know they get a lot of shit but the amount of work (not to mention styrofoam) that went into building individual sets for each planet they went to? like sure about 50% of the away missions take place in the california desert (the arena, *cough cough*, etc) but the rest of them have individually made sets that look PRETTY GOOD MAN. they get the point across, they're FUN, and innovative, and they really don't reuse planet sets all that often as well.
PLUS they used traditionally /theatrical/ cycloramas with painted backgrounds and classical cyc lighting (reminiscent of mariano fortuny's domed cyc! i WILL talk more about lighting) which look really cool and once again get shit for being unrealistic.
it's not supposed to look realistic it's supposed to look cool as shit. and it does. shut up. <3
if you view the sets as being modern TV sets then yeah, they're weird, and they look sorta bad, but THEYRE NOT modern TV sets: they're THEATRICAL SETS FROM THE 60-70S. AND I LOVE THEM.
SECONDLY, THE
lighting
while it's true that some shows in the 60s were developing new lighting styles specifically for TV, remember that in the year 1950 less that 10 percent of US homes had a television. this shit was new. COLOR tv was ESPECIALLY new. nobody knew how to light these things! and actually why would you need a new lighting style, we already KNEW how to light dramatic productions, why would we ever need to reinvent the wheel Stanley Mccandles, Mariano Fortuny, and Gene Rosenthall already invented says Gene Roddenberry and Jerry Finnerman (the head lighting designer). and oh my god i am so ridiculously glad. because the lighting. is so good.
i HAVE seen others talking about how good it is in the super early episodes (Charlie X and the conscious of the King, etc.) and i do agree! but i disagree that the quality goes down. i think it just got a tad bit more subtle as the show went on and it gets less in your face, harder to notice. but i noticed. because I'M the WORST (and also a lighting tech)
the impossibility of listing every example of amazing theater lighting choice they made is absolutely horrific and nasty so i'll just lost some my my favorites:
the cyc! i mentioned before but the cyc they used on away missions was only painted when they needed a specific scene in the background, otherwise? that bitch was LIT. and i LOVE IT.
Tumblr media
any of the scenes where they light spock's face have green and half pink? or even just washing the walls behind him? i eat that shit UP. the METAPHOR. the CONFLICT. i will acquiesce that green and pink are (and were) pretty goddamn industry standard gels (color-films) to add to lights, for subtle contrast, but this is not subtle. it is LOUD. was it purposefully done from a storytelling perspective? no idea. is it cool as shit and interpret-able as hell? absolutely. also sometimes they do it with just green when they want to emphasize his vulcan-ness and other him a bit. like they do it a lot when he's in his room in amok time. anyway.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
whenever they shutter a light so they can emphasize a character's (kirk, we're talking abt kirk here. and *sometimes* spock, and also Charlie in Charlie X but yeah mostly kirk) eyes when they say something #Deep, or just pre-commercial break closure worthy line. it's so SHJSDJBFEJNKN. to add onto this, they'll do a striking half-wash over half of their face sometimes in conjunction and it looks So Good
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The GOBOS. sometimes, they'll just throw light through a gobo, or wall screen, or something, for /visual interest/ and it looks so silly i love it sm. does it make sense from a realism pov? nO. but star trek is a theater production actually and they lit everything using mainly naturalistic techniques! amazing!
Tumblr media
honorable mentions: the glowing time donut, and the entirely random colors in the hallway.
there are so many other examples but this post is long enough lmao. notice the lights next time you watch tos!!,! please!!! <3

FLR: Led by Her, Flourishing Together
In the heart of Paris, nestled in the serene Marais district, Adèle ran a bookstore specializing in feminist literature. Every shelf brimmed with volumes on women's empowerment, feminine prowess, and the gender revolution. The place had become a sanctuary for many souls seeking answers and fresh perspectives.
On a crisp autumn day, as the wind playfully twirled the golden leaves outside, Lucas, a history professor, stepped into the store. Driven by curiosity, he sought resources for a new course he was designing on the evolution of gender roles across the ages.
As Lucas was skimming through a book, Adèle approached to suggest some of her favorite titles. A spirited conversation ensued. Adèle, with her profound knowledge of the subject, and Lucas, with his eager thirst for learning, found an innate harmony between them.
Their friendship swiftly blossomed into love. As they got to know one another, Lucas was taken by Adèle's strength and resolve. She, on the other hand, appreciated Lucas's willingness to question established norms and embrace a fresh outlook on life and love.
They naturally drifted into an FLR dynamic. Adèle, with her assertive nature and desire to lead, became the dominant figure in their relationship. Lucas, recognizing her strength and wisdom, was more than happy to follow, finding an unexpected freedom in this setup.
Led by her, their relationship flourished. They learned together, supported each other in their aspirations, and built a life rich in love and mutual understanding. Far from being confined by traditional roles, they found that true strength lies in adaptability, trust, and shared growth.
Over time, Adèle's bookstore not only remained a hub for literary discovery but also became a place where many couples sought insights and perspectives on FLR relationships. Adèle and Lucas, with their inspiring tale, became a beacon of a love that transcends norms, proving that when led by the heart, anything is possible.
In the vast landscape of human relationships, the FLR (Female-Led Relationship) stands out as a testament to the evolving nature of love, trust, and partnership. Rooted in the idea that the female partner takes the primary leadership role, an FLR challenges traditional gender roles, empowering women while creating a harmonious balance between partners. "Led by her, flourishing together" captures the essence of this dynamic, a phrase that celebrates mutual growth and interdependence.
Empowerment & Leadership
Traditionally, society has often viewed men as the default leaders, not only in the workplace but in the confines of the home as well. The emergence of the FLR, however, offers a refreshing shift. By consciously choosing to let the woman lead, couples are making a powerful statement. It's not about subverting the status quo for the sake of it, but recognizing that a woman's leadership can be just as valuable, strategic, and nurturing as that of a man's.
Trust & Vulnerability
For an FLR to thrive, an unparalleled degree of trust and vulnerability must exist. The male partner, stepping away from the expected role of leader, places his trust in the hands of his female counterpart. This surrender isn't a sign of weakness, but of strength. Recognizing that trust is a two-way street, the female partner must also understand the weight of her leadership and ensure that it's exercised with love, respect, and fairness.
Growth & Interdependence
"Flourishing together" isn’t just a hopeful ideal—it's a tangible outcome of many FLRs. With distinct roles and responsibilities, partners can focus on their strengths, which often leads to personal growth and a stronger relationship foundation. Instead of getting caught in power struggles, couples can channel their energies into mutual goals and shared dreams. The beauty of an FLR is that even though one partner leads, both individuals grow—personally, professionally, and romantically.
Conclusion
The FLR is more than just a relationship dynamic—it's a reflection of the changing tides in our understanding of gender, power, and love. It proves that leadership doesn't have a gender, and that by embracing new paradigms, we can find harmony and balance. "Led by her, flourishing together" isn't just a statement—it's a beacon for all couples looking for a roadmap to mutual respect and growth.

Looking at your past art has me really loving your drag king Natsumi, do you have any more thoughts on them? I'd love to hear them. Also just your genderbend ideas in general. They are very interesting!
for future reference, here is where i drew some drag king natsumi + sapphic ottosuba :) i definitely plan on making more genderbend au content in the future thats for sure! :o i have another older art post on this here also (i am. too lazy to find it rn but its there somewhere!!) but i have some in depth thoughts about fembaru for sure yes :3 ty for finding my genderbend ideas interesting!! :D !! id be happy to talk about them more :o
im gonna start with outward design stuff / gender presentation first!! :D bc in my head, afab subaru probably looks almost exactly the same. in general, canon subaru’s most likely at least a little androgynous (and i think he probably is judging off of how much he passes as the opposite sex!!), and we know hes got his dad’s spiky black hair and his mom’s mean eyes and general facial shape, has a long torso, that sort of thing, so i think afab subaru would look similar :o
plus i like to treat fembaru as basically just the mirror/foil/inverse of canon amab subaru anyway, so yep natsumi schwartz is gonna be her male persona!! canon amab subaru was mistaken as a girl when he was a child, and he also went to high school (iirc it was high school but at the very least he was about the same age he is during arc 1) for three days as natsumi yes and passed for three days. iirc he would put on the girl’s uniform and wig and stuff on the way to school and out of his parents’ view and then put on the male uniform and take off the wig before he got home!! plus you know he’d generally practice makeup most likely and wig styling and all sorts of things in private.
so definitely afab subaru is doing similar stuff but in the opposite direction now—looking more masc and presenting as a boy. while amab subaru can put on and take off a wig, in my head, afab subaru would probably have to have shorter hair. so one day she just got a haircut thats short enough to where she could style it masculinely but longer enough to where it could still be kinda considered feminine enough!!
im not 100% sure how to draw her hair yet but in my earlier post and a few of my sketches it kinda looks like either a long mullet/wolfcut or a messy bob :3 i think you could probably say that her hair looks more like a wacky bob when shes more feminine and a wolfcut when shes styling it more masculinely?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(^^ my take on fem wrathbaru is here also LMAO)
i also base my fembaru design off of canon natsumi!! with the side bang (though i sometimes draw it on the wrong side akdnd)!! meanwhile fembaru’s male natsumi would have canon amab subaru’s hair :) (which you can see in my earlier post as well!!)
Tumblr media
(i like this illustration actually <3)
i also like to hc that on top of subaru wanting to look and act more like his dad in canon, he did also kinda want to resemble his mom when hes presenting more femininely :o also for genderbend aus it depends on whether you ONLY want to genderbend subaru or if you wanna genderbend everyone along with subaru too, that sort of thing. i like to play with both possibilities :o
but in general, i like the idea of subaru either way trying to honor both her mom and dad. maybe to subaru her mom is what an ideal woman should be perhaps, and her dad is the ideal man, bc subarus parents are her biggest role models, so she tries to emulate both at different points in her life. she tries to be the perfect soft sweet girl like her mom and it doesnt work. she leans into being a bit of a delinquent and it doesnt work. then she cuts her hair and learns to present more masculinely and tries to copy her dad only to fail again. :((( then she gets isekaied……
i feel like afab subaru might get a bit more shit for getting into trouble too :(( or for being too loud. shes not very traditionally ladylike, i think!! boys will be boys and of course your daughter takes after you, kenichi, but dont you think shes a little too rough around the edges now?
anyway otherwise in general, i also like the idea that over the course of each arc in the fantasy world, subaru grows her hair out!! and once its long enough she can put it into a ponytail like her mom again :,)))
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(male rem is here too <3)
also i like to give fembaru the maid dress instead of the butler outfit!!! probably not with the garter and stuff but 😭😭 its a pretty dress and fembaru should get to express herself both masculinely and femininely :3 in my head, i think subaru would be shy bc AGHH THIS DRESS IS SO REVEALING THERES NO WAY ID LOOK GOOD IN THIS IM NOT PRETTY AT ALL and rem and ram (genderbent or not) are probably like nonsense just try the dress. its your uniform to work here. and subaru does and huhhhh. maybe i dont look half bad ? :,) (bc of course subaru’s insecurities either present themselves the same or slightly different when genderbended). and of course when rem and ram warm up to subaru eventually ram can be like “you dont look as bad as i thought youd look” or something and rem can be like “subaru-kun youre very beautiful anyways!!!! <3”
and also i do think subaru would cut her hair a bit again or style it different for natsumi adventures later in arc 7 <3 just to have that symmetry again. the situation probably might go a little different but yep this is how id handle it 👍
and of course you can give subaru the canon natsumi hair bow sometimes when shes feeling fancy :3
OKAY and now im gonna talk about more character stuff!! lets talk about subarus whole thing with isekai and genre savviness and all that.
one of canon subaru’s many many Many parts making him up as a character and making up his story in general is a deconstruction of the isekai genre!! power fantasy and characters being cardboard cutouts for the male mc to triumph without a struggle—that sort of thing. but afab subaru is a female lead now, and female isekai is different.
id have to do way more research into this and watch more female isekai and shoujo and stuff (ive been Really wanting to watch im in love with the villainess…… someday i will…..). buuut from what ive noticed so far it seems like for male lead isekai the fantasy here is the Power and Prestige, but female lead isekai’s fantasy seems to be the Romance!! not that you cant have OP abilities in female lead isekais and not that every isekai is 100% the same of course. but that seems to be the common tropes from what ive seen so far? male isekai protags have girls throwing themselves at him as trophies, female lead isekais have their male romantic interests and the evil evil villainesses are defeated somehow and perfectly out of the way <3 the fantasy is that youll be loved by The One—the perfect boy(s) <3
and i think amab subaru is less likely to check out much female lead isekai but i think itd be fun if afab subaru would probably focus on female lead isekai but also a bit on male lead isekai as well!! she wants that absolute path to glory AND love. (and ahahhahahaha please ignore the gazillion ikemen anime figurines in her room hahahahahhahhahahahah AND DEFINITELY IGNORE THE SILVER HAIRED ONES. ESPECIALLY THE ONLY GIRL FIGURINE SHE HAS THATS BEEN GATHERING DUST UNDER HER BED—)
but also bc i think amab subarus more likely to go nah i wont look at girly media while maybe afab subarus like godddddddd i want instant OP abilitiessssssssssss and godddddddd i want hot girls around m—WHAT. WHAT. WHO SAID THAT WHO SAID THAT—
anyway so subaru gets isekaied and shes like SWEEETTT A NEW BEGINNING AWAY FROM NOT BEING ABLE TO MEET EXPECTATIONS HAHAHAHAHA IM THE ISEKAI PROTAG!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!! (is about to get her shit rocked). and shes like ooooh do i have any abilities (nope) and oooohhhhhh shit do i have a villainess. AM I THE VILLAINESS???? no way right. anyway lol wheres the ikemen who’ll ill marry one day. the ikemen that falls in love….. with a commoner……… like myself teehee… and they get married…… and the villainess is CONQUERED….
anyway so what im saying is. ………….fembaru is a femcel. AND a pick me. AND a disaster bisexual. you could practically imagine a vine boom after each of those.
i think the biggest most important to me with genderbend aus is keeping the humanity of the characters the same the best i can!! and fembaru is STILL subaru, of course shes fucking cringe!! of course shes got a heart of gold but its under layers of cringe!!! of course shes a nerd who doesnt have any friends at first and trips and stumbles through all the shit being thrown her way!!
also if male subaru is bi then so is fem subaru okay. we’re equal opportunity here. and also amab subaru has issues with his masculinity and uhhhh slight things with women (see: his boob comments in season 1…….. subaru i love you but cmon man). so. afab subaru i think has got a terrible case of internalized misogyny / homophobia / PROBABLY SOME COMPHET TOO LMFAO 😭😭
i think general plot beats (whether its only genderbending subaru or genderbending everyone) goes mostly the same but again, slight differences. im gonna go with only subaru being genderbent atm bc thatd have more differences i think :o
yes ok so subaru’s gonna see reinhard and go GASPPP oh my god. pretty ikemen. ohhhhhh oughhhhh hes so pretty. hes clearly main lead material… ohhhh what do i do ive never talked to people in so long and hes so PRETTY FUUUCKKKKK BUT I DONT WANNA BOTHER HIM EITHER AND PUT HIM IN DANGER. um um um um mmumimimm HE CLOSED THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US TOO???? what the hell what the fuck what the fuck shit shit um think THINK SUBARU THINK YOU HAVE CHARM RIGHT?? YOU CAN DO THIS. YOU CAN CHARM A HOT GUY. ARGGHHH— *explodes*
but also subaru sees emilia and gets that “do i wanna be her or be with her” feeling 😭😭 bc emilias so….. cute…. pretty… and NICE TOO?? WITH A FUN PERSONALITY??? SHIT SHES GOT EVERYTHING!! she went out of her way to save me 🥺🥺 and im just dragging her down 😔😔 BUT FUCKKKK I HATEEEE HOW GOOD SHE IS. and then :,)))) theyre both dying in the warehouse… and the first time subaru feels the touch of another girl in a more intimate light is her and emilia holding hands as they die…………….
SO YEAH THEN SUBARU RBDS :,,)))) so like. do you get what im saying. emisuba and remsuba and satella are subaru’s first sapphic heartbreaks and heartaches. muahahaha!!!! insert more evil laughter here!!!! bc since subarus a girl her relationships with emisuba and remsuba are definitely gonna be perceived (both by other people and rem emilia subaru) more so as friendships first and foremost.
so….. subarus getting the codependent homoerotic teenage friendship bright and early HAH. but i cannot blame her!! i too would go insane if i was put in a new unfamiliar world and i met this cute girl i was both jealous of and a little into and then we both died and the last thing i felt was searing pain and her soft fingertips!!! i too would go insane if i thought this maid was my friend but then she tortured me and—and—
but yeah you know how amab subaru has his whole weird complex bromances with reinhard and julius and otto?? now itll be like that but with emilia (the julius and reinhard…) and rem (the otto….). emilias the girl subaru’s having “do i wanna be her or be with her” weird rivalry shit with (subaru’s internalized misogyny probably also adding to this bc Obviously theyre rivals) and rem’s the girl who brutally betrays subaru personally (worlds worst homoerotic teenage friendship breakup of all time 😭😭) but then she later becomes subaru’s loyal best friend???? crazy shit.
and like emilia and rem are totaaally villainesses in subaru’s way (except emilias sweet af and misjudged by the entire world and subaru doesnt have the heart to fight rem and also shes chugging copium and trying not to think about failed loops. or about her gay feelings). toxic yuri is toxic yuri-ing. subaru doesnt wanna be explicit about it….. emilia isnt sure of her feelings other than stuff like caring a lot abt subaru… and rem is. Rem. so theyre all in gay situationship limbo HAH.
also as an afab person too rip subaru for also having periods while the whole world is ending on repeat 😭😭 LMFAOO. im sure theres medieval fantasy remedies though (and rem is 1000% spoiling subaru on her period)
also no one can tell me that echidna and rem WOULDNT still be into subaru as much as they are in canon. subaru regardless of gender fascinates echidna and her greed. subaru regardless of gender is someone rem will grow very very attached to. and if anything, rem would get way more bold with afab subaru.
bc the thing with female relationships is that i feel like theres a higher level of intimacy that you gotta go to for it to be considered more romantic or homoerotic. with guys it could be like holding hands and other people might be like WOAH THATS GAY, but if girls do the same thing its like aww youre such good friends. i think rem would take advantage of her and subaru being the same sex and she’d probably keep trying like “hey um um wanna cuddle together?? in the same bed?? and bathe together teehee?? i can help do your hair and dress you up? and make lots of cute dresses for you ? :) <3 🥰 and i can even massage your bo—I MEAN YOUR BACK. YOUR BACK!!” or it’ll be like. rem gets a little too happy that her and subaru’s periods get synced up or something 😭😭 shes Not Normal (and unfortunately subarus probably a little too into that)
also unfortunately the other time a girl touched subaru intimately was satella squeezing her heart :(((( and hahahah between that and rem and emilia and later echidna…. ohhhh poor subaru and her terrible toxic yuri 😭😭 her sapphic experiences and experiences with women have not been 1000% great.
but also of course subaru is so very not normal. you have the canon typical “lol every memory is a good one <3 even rem torturing me teehee <33” and also i just think itd be funny if you as an audience is lead to believe subarus jealous of emilia and rem’s boob sizes and no. no shes just gay. shes GAY.
and stuff like everything going on with julius and otto gets recharacterized too. bc subarus a girl and the guys are guys its probably gonna get perceived more both in and out of universe in a more. Quite Literally Straightforward light. esp bc subaru’s still gonna be into reinhard and julius lbr HAH.
i want arc 3 to still be an absolute fucking disaster with fembaru. let fembaru be flawed and ugly!!!! so in my au thoughts here itd be like. subaru feels jealous and threatened by lots of people. emilia, though its subsided a bit after becoming friends and after learning a bit more abt emilia as a person. but also i think subaru could feel so so jealous of the royal candidates!! esp crusch priscilla anastasia even though subaru will 1000% think theyre bitches at first during arc 3. bc theyre such strong determined women who seem way more confident than subaru herself is…. and also im sure there’ll be complex thoughts from her on felix too bc crossdressing… gender presentation… is a complex thing for subaru.
and subaru with julius is like. “get away from emilia!!!! shes mine!!! shes MY best friend that im homoerotically codependent on and obsessive of!!!! and also youre just trying to steal reinhard’s ikemen male lead spot huh!!!!! bastard!!!! (i hate that youre so pretty too)” and everything of course blows up in subaru’s face. im sure at some point in the story subaru might get slutshamed for having all these connections to people and romantic threads (especially since shes afab) but also its like. wow shes such a stupid girl lol causing a racket.
and uh being a man beating up a girl looks a little worse due to gender roles and stuff but lot of the knights are still gonna want to go after subaru and julius is still gonna want to save subaru. :,,)))) arc 3 emisuba breakup….. worlds worst sapphic breakup of all time…. and later rem will be the one that got away also :(((((
but yeah i think in general this subaru’s connections would be a little more. subtexty with the girls bc she’d be more hesitant to be explicit. but a bit more explicit with the guys bc itll be easily perceived as romantic in and out of universe. and of course subaru i think will be flustered in different ways between the girls vs guys—with the girls its OHH GOD I CANT BE GAY I CANT BE GAY NOOOOO I HAVE A RIVALRY!!! IM SO JEALOUS OF THEM!! BUT. BUT I LIKE THEM!! OHH GOD. with the guys its OH NO. GOOD LOOKING GUYS???? FML. FML!!!!! WHERES MY MAIN CHARACTER CHARM??? HOW DO I TALK TO GUYS???? JULIUS STOP MAKING FUNNOF ME!!! >:(((
also brief note on otto bc things are probably gonna go different here qkdnd. like i definitely am of course of the opinion that otto fell in love with subaru. in every damn arc in every damn main route otto side content hes getting unhinged over subaru in a way that i think makes a little less sense if you dont view it as otto just Not Being Normal About Subaru in a perhaps vaguely homoerotic way. Possibly? Maybe? Schrodinger's relationship blues.
but subarus afab now!! and ottos still a guy!!! and reinhard and julius are friendly with subaru right, but at around arc 4 things they dont show explicit romantic interest. (i think arc 5-6+ julisuba and juliemisuba would be 👀👀👀 though.) but otto?? in a universe where subaru is a girl??? well now its more acceptable for him to be grow openly head over heels for subaru. but also its probably also more pathetic bc now its probably gonna be more obviously taken by others as otto having a Romantic crush on subaru. regardless of whatever otto's feelings are.
and subarus had her arc 3 development right. but here its like. you wanted a male character who’d fall in love with you and be loyal to you and do Anything for you???? here you go!!! but also given otto is Like That and gets worse by arc 7-8 i think hes gonna seem a bit more sinister. not that canon otto with canon subaru isnt sinister but theres different connotations to male otto paired with female subaru. bc it sort of follows straight dark romance rules, right, with the cunning possessive male love interest and the female protagonist…
i doubt anything explicit would go on between otto and subaru in an au like this bc 1. otto and his avoidant attachment LMFAO and 2. subaru and her issues also and 3. subaru in main route is Not as into otto to the same extent or degree otto is HAH.
and fembarus probably like. i think itd be funny if she was a little disappointed otto wasnt a girl 😭😭😭 but then later hes weird about crossdressing and shes like why dont you wanna do it huh 👁👁👁👁 why are you weird about it 👁👁👁👁 im staring at your glass closet right now—
and also its like. “WHY ARE YOU THE FIRST BOY TO ACTUALLY BE IN LOVE WITH ME WHAT???” which i think is hilarious but i also think it could be fascinating in terms of playing with gender!! bc otto may want to be in control of things, but hes also so subservient to subaru anyway. otto and subaru are both androgynous; otto can pass as a girl and subaru can pass as a boy. if you wanna simplify things further you could also explain this as—otto is a man who looks like a woman who’s pledged his servitude to a woman who looks like a man. very intriguing imo!!
but of course ottosuba power dynamics are Always shifting over and over like a game of tug of war, but the most common thing is that otto will bow his head to subaru but under the surface ottos trying to be in charge. that sort of thing!! and the idea of male otto servicing female subaru is an idea rezero ao3 seems to like also but :,) lets just say its not fully to my taste haha :,,))
and otto is definitely not gonna beat up subaru’s ass so easily this time around bc itd look so bad and he’d know that lmfao 😭😭
but i think theres a lot of potential to play around with gender roles and such with all of these dynamics!! im very passionate about making my genderbend au ideas as wild and layered as possible :o !!
this is all my main ideas atm (and id love to draw stuff like more drag king natsumi or fem reinsuba :) ) but yes i hope this all makes sense :D !! thanks for reading this far and thanks for the ask!!

with mousey and bad together on the server, there's been a lot of talking about her as satan (it's been clarified by mousey that all she remembers is that she's a demon from hell) and her as bad's boss, and i wanted to do a bit of a deep dive on bad's demon lore through both a "pop culture" view and a more traditional biblical view.
in pop culture we've had a lot of mixing up of demon lore in general, with the prevalent idea that demons are creations of hell, and not all of them necessarily fallen angels or previously heavenly beings — it's a perfectly valid analysis, but i'm firmly convinced that bad's character is not just any demon, but instead very much a powerful demon that was once an angel.
let's start with what we do know of q!bad's personal history and slot things into their proper place. we know he's around 11600 years old (making his "date of birth" somewhere around 9577 BC. we also know he arrived in this world (which in this case we have to assume is whichever dimension qsmp is held in) in 9600 BC which means he lived the majority of his life away from his home — he was barely 23 when he "moved".
we also know that he didn't come to this dimension willingly, that he was summoned and in that summoning he caused serious destruction — it's been made pretty apparent that the man sunk atlantis, and frankly there's still a question as to whether he did it on accident or not, or the reason why he keeps it hidden. according to bonnie the horse, he sent them a lot of "salty souls" once, and bonnie has also dubbed bad "death of the sea". it doesn't matter whether bad is hiding because what he did made him famous, or because he feels terrible — what matters here is that one singular demon was able to cause the destruction and sinking of a whole civilization singlehandedly. he was also able to do it at a pretty young age.
we also know that bad has eaten souls before (as well as anything he can get in his mouth, apparently), that he's got a way to avoid being summoned (as he told dapper he'd let him know later) and that for better or for worse, he's immortal. so, it's safe to say that bad is an extremely powerful being that cannot be killed by any means, and who has enough control over himself to not only hide his true nature but also contain himself to the highest degree.
speaking of death, bad's relationship with it is very interesting on a few levels. we know he's employed as a grim reaper (and that being a grim reaper is completely removed from his origins, it's just a job) and that to one degree or another, he's acknowledged mumza as the goddess of death as being canonical to him as well (yesterday tallulah spoke about death as a beautiful woman, and bad confirmed to chat she meant mumza).
but what is a grim reaper?
traditionally, grim reapers (or those who served their role) were nothing more than physical manifestations of death with the purpose of easing humans from one plane into the next. they're friendly and kind, and historically for the longest time (up until the middle ages and the plague) they were positive figures, reminiscent at many times of angels.
now, onto angels. angels biblically are far from the cherubic vision we see most often — they're whatever they're needed for. they can be kind-hearted messengers, but they're also warriors and if need be, and they can be incredibly dangerous to humans. why did some fall? simple enough, they sinned. there are passages in the bible regarding the fall of angels and they're described as losing the war in heaven, being cast down with "satan" (while satan and lucifer are not entirely interchangeable and they're often considered two different people, biblically today they're presumed to be the same so let's just roll with it for now) into hell. other passages speak of angels who sinned against god and who await judgement in hell.
but what does any of this have to do with badboyhalo, you ask? well… more than it seems at first if you put it all together. on a basic level, bad wouldn't be considered your average demon — yes, he's full of mischief, has an odd moral compass, and can be incredibly violent, but he's also very kind, and very gentle, and very very loving. there are contradictions in his personality that could be discounted as meta… but the evidence continues to pile up. bad is full of angel iconography, from the actual halo in his name and in his preferred design, but his new build in his home is really beating us over the head with it — he build two statues that can only be described as holy warriors, dark and demon-y but with a golden halo and beautiful white wings.
then, there's "the chair". which is not a chair, it's very much a throne, but for whatever reason bad seems vehemently opposed to admitting that it is, in fact, a throne — it's huge, and full of dark and red blocks, fire… and behind it? huge angel wings. now, one could argue that they're bones, but there are details in the blocks that very clearly allude to feathers — the idea of white feathery wings is a direct parallel to angels, and i think it's very intentional.
who, then, is badboyhalo? i'd put my money on his personal lore being connected to the demonology idea of "the princes of hell" — angels who fell from the grace of god, and took up their kingdoms in hell. i'm fully convinced that bad is a prince of hell. now, which one? that's trickier, and not something we know enough to real pinpoint, especially when you consider that the identity of the princes of hell is pretty fluid — there's a lot of different texts who name different demons, so i'm choosing to simplify it until we get more information.
tl;dr - badboyhalo is not just any ol' demon, but a fallen angel — one of the "princes of hell".
a special thanks to @comradeboyhalo because this post was very handy!
