Blurb of matt and his girlfriend filming a chaotic car video with his brothers!
"DARLING, I"
"Darling, I keep falling in love"
Tumblr media
Matt sits in the driver’s seat, adjusting the camera on the dashboard while Y/N gets comfortable in the passenger seat. Nick and Chris are already in the back, mid-argument about something completely irrelevant to the video they’re about to film. “Okay, are we gonna start this or let them fight over…what is it this time?” Matt asks, glancing in the rearview mirror. “Which flavor of Pop-Tarts is the best,” Y/N replies, trying to hold back a laugh.
“For the record, it’s brown sugar cinnamon.” “Thank you!” Chris shouts, pointing dramatically at Y/N. “Finally, someone with good taste.” “Wrong,” Nick says flatly. “It’s clearly strawberry.” Matt sighs and leans back in his seat. “Can we please not make this a Pop-Tart review? We’re supposed to be filming an actual video.”
Y/N smirks and leans toward the camera. “This is what I signed up for—three siblings fighting over nothing for 20 minutes. Content gold.” “You’re just here to stir the pot,” Nick accuses, leaning forward to point at Y/N.
“Obviously,” Y/N says with a grin. Chris laughs, sitting back with his arms crossed. “Honestly, Y/N’s already better at this than Matt. Maybe they should just take over.” “Excuse me?” Matt says, raising an eyebrow at Chris before turning to Y/N. “Don’t listen to him.
You’re supposed to be on my side.” Y/N shrugs. “I’m just saying, maybe I should run the channel. You guys can be my co-hosts.” The car erupts into laughter, with Nick and Chris immediately agreeing.
Matt groans, shaking his head but clearly trying not to laugh. “Fine. Next time, Y/N can do the intro,” Matt says, glancing at the camera. “But only if they admit that I’m their favorite Sturniolo.” Y/N tilts their head, pretending to think. “Hmm…pass.”
Nick and Chris burst out laughing, and Matt looks at the camera, exasperated. “I’m never filming with them again.” The video continues with nonstop banter, inside jokes, and Y/N fitting perfectly into the chaotic sibling dynamic that makes the channel so beloved.

Favourite songs of 2024: 55 - 46!
Tumblr media
These songs represent a year spent listening to pop music. Within that, there are big hitters and struggling newbies; the "culturally relevant" and critically reviled; the "authentic" artistes and the dumbest shit you've ever heard.
All of them moved me in some way this year: to joy, to tears, to wistful sighs or often simply to contemplation of the nature of pop music and my role within it, either as dedicated appreciator, mindless consumer or helpless stan. All these roles are valid, and more or less equal imo. I've enjoyed some songs more for them being clever but they were never better than the ones i loved for being stupid.
Obviously there are degrees to all of this (i have attempted to rank them after all) but not one thing was more important to me than the others. Whether it's Kendrick or Ava, Beyoncé or Bebe: all of these were the best of the year.
55. Artemas - I Like The Way You Kiss Me
youtube
On investigation Artemas doesn’t seem to have much else in the locker but “I Like The Way You Kiss Me” was a rare highpoint from the top 5 early this year, a queasy gothpop banger that sounds like it’s been dredged up from the basement of some dubious sex club. I love its Hi-NRG leanings and the creepy ghost train momentum of it all, but if I’m honest my favourite bits are probably that weird treated voice he uses and the way he mimes really badly in the video.
54. Aespa - Armageddon
youtube
I'm a bit resistant to the world of k-pop but Aespa are doing their best to shake me out of my conservative ways. Armageddon combines real menace with a strong dose of cuteness but more than anything it feels unpredictable, full of weird side hustles and genre twists that frequently turn yr idea of what it is completely on its head.
53. Girl In Red - Too Much
youtube
I came the closest I’ve ever been to appreciating Girl In Red in 2024 but, while the album often tripped me up with its annoying therapyspeak elements, Too Much did at least leave a more permanent mark. There’s something a little bit 70s singer songwriter about it with the choppy piano that chimes throughout the song but there’s also some poppier energy dragged in here and there, with those zips and zooms in the bridge feeling altogether more freeing than the song's claustrophobic outlook.
52. Doja Cat - MASC
youtube
Doja picked up where she left off on last year’s terrific Scarlet album with this elegant breakup tune. I love the way that the sampled strings slice across the backing track, there’s a solemn harshness to it amidst the soulful mood, but the song is largely stolen by Teezo Touchdown’s guest spot where he reveals “I NEED YOUR FEET!” and we all reminisce fondly on the infamous “racial chat rooms” post
51. Usher - Kissing Strangers
youtube
Usher’s comeback album was a bit boring and overlong but it had its moments and this breakup ballad was amongst the best of them. Its burbling synth backing and rattling beats bathed the lyrical contrasts - the loss of one’s other half while they still dominate yr thoughts - in a warm nostalgic haze, something which is focused into the song’s high impact, gloriously dramatic chorus. It’s the kind of song that maybe a lot of people could do but it takes a star of Usher’s calibre to pull it off so well.
50. Nelly Furtado ft Bomba Estéreo - Corozón
youtube
Took me a while to come around to Nelly’s new album and, while there are other songs that I probably find a bit more catchy, there’s a certain idiosyncrasy about her performance here - the playful drawl of the verses especially, with its rhythmic little punches - that has tended to draw me back to it more than most. Tho she’s been fluent in a lot of styles over the years, I feel like this Latin flavour is more of her signature now: it’s good to hear her put such a fun stamp on it here
49. Zara Larsson - You Love Who You Love
youtube
Perennially dragged for being anonymous, I actually think that one of Zara’s strengths is being able to step into this kind of stock character role without pulling too much weight in behind her. As such, she sounds like she’s having a ball playing the concerned pal in You Love Who You Love while still ready to switch things up at the drop of a hat if need be. It helps of course that she’s brought a bop with her too, its Loose era Nelly Furtado vibe all the better to carry her smart, swaggering vocal.
48. Madison Beer - Make you Mine
youtube
Madison’s standard tunes are too textbook American Gothic for me to truly love, but her beat driven singles (made presumably to get her a hit) are a thing that her voice seems more obviously suited for. This in particular feels more trancelike than last year’s (similarly excellent) Sweet Relief, recasting her moody Lana-isms in a sultry, swaying dancefloor vibe that's lowkey sexy but in a way that suggests more than it reveals.
47. St Vincent - Big Time Nothing
youtube
I’ve found this year’s St Vincent album a bit of a mixed bag but Big Time Nothing was as striking as any of her lead singles. A vast, bombastic slab of pop funk, the chanted vocals and filthy synth bassline made this feel more like a dance single than anything else she’s done before, while still having that messy edge that marks out her best material
46. Addison Rae - Diet Pepsi
youtube
I’ve hitherto considered Addison a bit surface level - which is fine, some of my faves are entirely superficial - but Diet Pepsi was a real surprise, a Lana-esque melodrama which was both intoxicating and profoundly unsubtle (“young - lust - let’s - ah!” indeed). While some of the claims made for her seem to reflect the company she keeps rather than what’s she actually doing on record, the way that this song sweeps you up in its breathtaking hokeyness shows that she absolutely does have something going for her (the video is a hoot as well)
Back with more soon!

COCHISE SHARES NEW SINGLE "4AM"
Tumblr media
Florida rap star Cochise has just shared his new single "4AM" — out now along with an accompanying music video. Clocking in at just under two minutes in runtime, "4AM" is a spirited sprint marked by bright synths, an infectious beat, and the colorful, deep-cut bars Cochise has become known for ("Make money every week/I walk in with my pistol on my hip/They think I'm Pete"). The track arrives on the heels of a strong run of 2024 singles for Cochise, including “YOSHIMITSU” (33M Streams) as well as his recent link-up with $NOT on "HILARIOUS". The track stamped their second ever collaboration following 2021's smash hit "Tell Em" (1B+ Streams), which was bolstered by its Cole Bennett-directed music video.
youtube
Hailing from Palm Bay, Florida, Cochise is known for a kaleidoscopic sound that blends elements of Jamaican dancehall, hip-hop, and trap with animated lyricism punctuated by references to anime, sports, and pop culture. Hailed for his high-flying vocal acrobatics and hazy, ethereal production, he exploded onto the scene with his 2021 major label debut Benbow Crescent, which featured the RIAA Certified Gold hit track “Hatchback” (400M Streams). Cochise has since toured with Aminé, sold out a solo headlining world tour, and collaborated with the likes of Lil Yachty, Chief Keef, Denzel Curry, Juicy J, Teezo Touchdown, Lil B, and more. Now, the 2022 XXL Freshman is preparing to enter his next era as he gears up to release more music later this fall.

The 2024 Overrated List
Tumblr media
Traveling. It’s not inherently virtuous and we need to stop acting like it is.
Clapping and cheering every time men wear skirts. This is the new painted nails or wearing pearls. A tactic for uninteresting men to try and get in the pants (or overalls) of “artsy” women. Not so fast, little boy!
Working out/Going to the gym.
Chipotle, Cava, Playa Bowl, Sweetgreen, etc. Yippie! Another bowl-centered fast casual joint! You shouldn’t have…
Quiet luxury fashion. SNOOZE.
Every Blake Lively Met Gala look.
Energy drinks. Was I asleep when these became cool? Why are people online holding a Monster like an accessory? And I hate you Celsius for trying to make these chic. You can like them, but they’ll never be chic.
The name “Ophelia”.
Zara (the clothing store). Probably the only thing on this entire list that I seriously dislike.
Eurovision. After loosely keeping up with the most recent season, I’m kinda glad the American version of this flopped.
Teezo Touchdown. I like him. He’s cute. I have a crush on him. Just wish his music was as cool as his look.
Those TikTok accounts whose whole shtick is re-enacting “cringe” viral videos. I was going to do a separate rant/analysis on this phenomenon because it confuses me profoundly… but the TLDR is that I think everyone involved is kinda lame.
Caring about the way your lawn looks.
Marrying rich. Can’t help but feel a great sadness for girls who think this is a “way out” of patriarchy, and I’m perpetually rolling my eyes at the women trying to sell it.
Raising Canes.
Not wanting to look like everyone else. This is just a fool's errand and I think we’d all be happier if our fashion philosophy was centered around what we do like rather than what we want to avoid.
The city of Houston. Everything cool about it is immediately soured by the fact that all of it is so s p r e a d o u t.
iPads.
Thrifting. Of course this is, on paper, more sustainable than buying from places like the dreaded Zara, but the best thing you can do from a fashion sustainability standpoint (for the environment and for your own personal style) is to wear the stuff you already own. Overconsuming at the thrift is still overconsumption…
Being someone’s muse.
Matcha. Delicious, one of the best drinks ever. It’s the pale pastel green ones that lowkey piss me off. If it’s not medium-dark grassy green, don’t even bother.
That’s almost all of them, but if you’d like to read more I posted the full version on my Substack (for free, ofc)! Would appreciate if u checked it out & thank u for reading <3

blog intro + owner info!
Welcome to the Teezo Touchdown Zone aka The End Zone, which I hope can essentially become a hub of all things Teezo.
[strap in. this post is a lil’ long. just a lil’ 🤏🏾]
I created this blog because as a fan of Teezo, I felt like some of his recent history was getting a little lost in the hustle and bustle of the internet, so I’m hoping that by having a bit of an archive, it can help fans as they come down the rabbit hole and catch up!
I’m going to try to capture as much as I can, and as a fan that is always learning herself, definitely feel free to submit or suggest shoots/interviews/music/etc., especially from his CVKE SUPPLY/mixtape days! I’m not as well versed in that era, so it would be great to connect with fans in that way to exchange knowledge and really just be in community with you all!
That was also another reason I created this blog— to find other fans! The Teezo tags haven’t been as abundant or updated as I think they should be, and I see a few people showing love to him here and there, but I need us to come toogeetherrrr! (>.<)
As for the blog itself, I really want this to be more than just an “updates and news” blog because I, too, need a place to fan out and rant and rave about the man. Still figuring out what that will look like, especially since we have sooo much to catch up on (it’s been a crazy few years for Teezo so at least there’ll be a steady stream of content from an archival standpoint lol).
He’s currently on tour, so if you or anyone you know is going to show, let me know! I'm not able to go to a show and would love to not only post any pics or videos you take but also live vicariously through you lmaoo.
As this blog evolves, I just want to remind y'all that I'm just finding my footing and figuring this all out as I go — kinda like Teezo is! Trial and success! I’ve never had this type of blog before, but if y’all rockin’ wit’ me, let’s rock. And let’s roll.
Here’s some quick facts about me (omg how rude, I haven’t introduced myself yet):
I’m trin! she/her! 25! Black!
I’ve been a fan of Teezo since early 2021. My favorite song from him— it changes all the time but it’s currently Handyman!
my main blog is @universeinherafro, so if you see any interactions coming from that page, it’s just me!
I also occasionally write on here @jarfulloftears! I may have some Teezo related fic writing in the works (it’s already underway on my Wattpad) but hopefully I won't be the only one partaking as the community grows!
Anyways!
Welcome in!! And I look forward to making this the best thing it can be and connecting with other super cool [insert Teezo Touchdown fandom name].
If you want to keep up with Teezo directly, be sure to follow all his socials! <3

Beepr Goes To Kenny Beats & Friends
Aris
On a warm evening in early October, Kenny Beats and Friends started off with one of Kenny’s true friends, Aris aka Sirasounds. A creative powerhouse at Don’t Over Think Shit (DOTS), editor of The Cave, photographer, Twitch extraordinaire, and talented DJ. Curating a great opener is no easy task, but I feel like Aris gave us a great spread on what to expect for the rest of the evening. A tasteful set featuring hip-hop vocals over energetic yet melodic production, Aris delivered on setting the mood for what would be an incredible night of performances.
Teezo Touchdown
Following Aris, fans who showed up early enough can say they were there to see Teezo Touchdown’s New York debut. Much like the buzz surrounding Teezo, the live show is undoubtedly unparalleled. Drawing on the world-building established in the catalogue of music videos, Teezo’s performance is powerful and heavily participatory. Bouncing off of his football coach/hype man for skits and interludes alike, Teezo takes us on a tour through his discography and then some (like performances of The Cave freestyle and an interlude of Randy Newman’s You’ve Got a Friend in Me, which gave way to Strong Friend). You can tell Teezo is truly committed to memorable and unique shows, as he came out dawning a Daniel Jones jersey, provides fans a chance to win “the game ball,” and tosses the bouquet that enshrouded his microphone into the audience. Seeing live renditions of songs like Social Cues and Technically contrast with those like Mid and SUCKA! shows you the range at Teezo’s disposal. To be able to effortlessly croon as well as generate mosh pits are skills seldom found in one artist. What’s perhaps even more impressive is when most of the audience is able to sing along for the first ever performance of the latest Teezo single, I’m Just a Fan. Teezo’s artistry, rollouts, and fan interactivity generate an aura of intrigue and curiosity, and yet many of sonic styles invoke familiar sounds, which perhaps is what is so inviting and familiar about it. Don’t be afraid to jump on the bandwagon now, as Teezo says, “don’t worry, you’re still early.”
Kenny Mason
While he isn’t the virtuoso of beat production that most people bought tickets to see, Kenny Mason is a Kenny to pay attention to. It’s always so refreshing to see young artists who have stage presence and crowd control beyond their years. Equally capable of gliding over 808s as he is guitar riffs, Mason has range to be reckoned with. Splitting the set time between the original Angelic Hoodrat and new cuts from the deluxe version, Mason provided offerings for fans new and old. Even without having the likes of Denzel Curry and Freddie Gibbs to back him up on A+ and Much Money respectively, Mason delivers unrelenting energy mixed with a swagger normally reserved for someone further along in their career. The confidence displayed was somewhere between breathtaking and inspiring as he effortlessly progressed through his set; Mason posed questions that would surely elicit cheers thoroughly throughout the crowd (such as “Y’all get money?”), took time to teach the hooks of songs, and peppered positive affirmations about success and hard work. On tracks like Pup and Metal Wings, Mason taps into the more metal side, with a natural ability to rage. Distorted electric guitars, heavy drums, and vocals imbued with a touch of existential angst mix together nicely in a way that Mason’s “rock-rap” (you will never see me use those words again) feels oh so natural. It wouldn’t be just to say that Kenny Mason is all raw, unrelenting energy, as he channels a quieter, more reflective style of performance on songs like Partments that are quite enjoyable to see live. At 25, Kenny Mason is surely still in his pup phase as an artist, and I can’t wait to see the dog fully unleashed.
Zack Fox
As I sat down to write this Zack Fox review, I’m ashamed of myself for having set any expectations about what this show would be like (although I was certainly right in that it got very rowdy). What can one even expect from Zack Fox, except the unexpected. After a raucous set from Kenny Mason, the crowd began to hum and murmur about where the next performance might take us in terms of energy, and we should have known Zack planned on taking it all the way up to 10. Politely requesting a vile and sinister mosh pit in order to open with The Bean Kicked In, the tone was set for the show: hilarious contradictions. Hectic, funky, and amplified: Zack Fox has no business being a part-time rapper. His latest single fafo, produced by BNYX, mixes incredibly witty comedic lyricism with catchy cadence and natural rhythm. Songs like Square Up, produced by the headlining Kenny Beats, also caused the crowd to erupt into a beautiful mayhem. In a preview of what was to come later on in the evening, Fox used his time center stage to shine a spotlight on artists he deemed worthy of such an occasion. Melodical and transcendental, 454 performed a few songs complimented by Detroit’s own ZeLoooerZ, hard-hitting and stylistically as they come. With the show culminating with freestyles and JLO’s Waiting For Tonight, Zack Fox had the entire venue eating out of his hands. As unpredictable and eclectic an artist as he is, you can certainly guarantee you’re in for a stellar show.
Kenny Beats
It’s hard to argue you go to any concert primarily for an artist other than the headliner. The same can be said for me when I bought tickets to Kenny Beats and Friends. At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, I found comfort and consistent entertainment in his Twitch streams and catalogue of The Cave episodes. It’s not often you get the opportunity to cut through circles of separation and understand what makes brilliant creatives tick. Despite his pseudonym, Kenny is committed to more than just beats: he helps artists flourish. With the sole goal of creating fulfilling yet exciting sounds, Kenny Beats helps musicians of all levels produce work they’ve been craving to create. Kicking off the show with an intro video comedically comparable and similar to something out of Anchorman, a definitively diverse DJ soon ensued. Half of what makes a show fun is when the performer is having fun, and it’s safe to say Kenny was enjoying himself. Leaning equally into throwbacks for fellow 90s babies and the latest hits of today, his DJ set embraced anthems for all ages. While he might consider it a blip in his career he might rather not revisit, Kenny’s set is certainly ameliorated by his EDM past. During a supposed moment of less-than-satisfactory crowd participation, we were pleasantly trolled by Calvin Harris’ Feels So Close which gave way to Playboi Carti’s New N3on. Flawless transitions, unexpected yet immensely satisfying switches, and effortless crowd control were all on display throughout the performance. What impresses me most about the discography of Kenny Beats is its unabashed contempt for being boxed into one genre, style, or sound. Bouba Savage (a 13 year old Harlem rapper, performing his latest single Shutdown), Offset Jim (a Bay Area rapper, performing their collaboration Face Card), DJ Lucas (a western Massachusetts rapper performing cult classics from Kenny’s Twitch stream like Weed Person and recent single Fake the Funk), Nick Hakim (who serenaded the crowd for a pleasant change of pace), Kenny Mason (performing some quality unreleased “kentertainment”), and Zack Fox (leading essentially a sing-along for the viral collaboration, Jesus Is The One (I Got Depression)) all made time to show out for Kenny to surprise and satisfy fans from all entry points. Capping off the night with a motivational speech about how he’s turned his career around in the past five years, pursuing work that he’s passionate about and working with artists he respects and admired, Kenny Beats wants the crowd to succeed and flourish as much as they have fun. Make sure you don’t overthink buying tickets to the next DOTS show.
