"Is cuddling a Flareon really as good as everyone says?" Yes. Yes, it is. A lot if people worry that they'll get burned, but they're very good at controlling the heat in their flame pouch and can make it just a bit warm. They're really soft and fluffy and were literally bred so you could snuggle up against them when you're cold. 10/10 experience, totally recommend.

Flareon Facts

-The scientific name for Flareon is "Flama Vulpes Altera" which translates to "Other flame fox"

-Wild Flareon are omnivores, eating berries and small grass types. They don't like any of their food raw and will heat up their meat & berries with their fire

-While Eevee evolve into Flareon via firestone, some trainers report that they managed to get their eevee evolve into Flareon by training near volcanoes. My theory is that since firestones evolved from igneous rocks and gained the element of fire, the rocks around them still have a small amount of fire energy, ND the igneous rocks all around volcanoes create enough of that fire energy to cause evolution

-Flareon cries are very high pitched, and has surprised a lot of trainers when first hearing it

-Along with Jolteon, Flareon is one of the only Eeveelutions that is unable to purr. Instead, they'll make small squeaking sounds

-It’s common for Flareon who just evolved to pant a lot and want to stay near cool areas, since it can take awhile for them to get used to the added heat in their bodies. They’ll get used to it in a about a week, and learn to control their temperature better

-Flareon are the most vocal Eeveelutions. They’ll laugh or howl when happy, make squeaking noises to communicate, and whine for attention

-Flareon will puff up their fluff when trying to intimidate an opponent

-Flareon are surprisingly Phsyically strong and have a lot of muscle. Too bad they don't learn many physical moves

-Clothing made from the fur of Flareon was very popular in colder regions. But as the Eevee line was becoming rarer and rarer, it became illegal to hunt them

-Like the Delphox line, Flareon have really long ears as it allows them to cool down easier

-Flareon paw pads are really thick to keep then from hurting their paws when on the hot volcanic ground

-Because of their fluff, Flareon are once of the non-ice type Eeveelutions that can handle the cold quite well

-Not really a 'fact' but a thing I noticed about Flareons eyes is that the blue parts under their pupils look like the bottom of flames

-While the Eevee line is related to a lot (and I mean a lot) of Pokemon, Flareons DNA matches the most with the Delphox and Ninetales line

-Flareon mothers will warm their eggs by putting them near their chest fur, or putting their tail over them

-The pompadour hairstyle became more popular in 1940s Kanto because a fire type gym leader wore his hair in a pompadour to match his Flareon

Care Tips

Like stated before, newly evolved Flareon tend to pant a lot and overheat when first evolving. To help your buddy feel better, you could try turning on the air conditioning. You could also take them to a safe place for them to practice their new fire powers, as that can also help cool them down.

Flareon don't like to eat their food raw and heat them up themselves. This can be dangerous if they're inside, so make sure you cook the food before you give it to them. I suggest getting Poke-kibble made for fire types, as that's the one that allows you to cook it.

Flareona shed a LOT. Make sure you have a vacuum with you, because you will find fur everywhere. Their fur also gets tangled and matted really easily, so it's best to brush them at least once every day.

While they don't like water, they won't be harmed by it, and it is safe to bathe them. The process will be easier if it is hot water, as wild Flareon are known to bathe in hot springs.

It's probably no surprise that I have more next gens beyond what I have already shown, so here I present the main cast of another next gen series I have cooking up in the background. Pokemon! Now, like most things I watch, a lot of this is influenced by a rewrite I have of the series in the background, so there are things that may not make sense to most, lol. Things like mixing the pokemon game characters into the anime series, and stuff like making Giovanni both Silver and Ash's father, not because I believe it to be real, but because I like the drama. But I hope you enjoy the main cast!

-Rachel Ketchum- The 13-year-old daughter of Ash and Serena. Rachel is a very sweet, kind and soft spoken girl, who sadly was born with many health complications. She gets easily sick, deals with nasty asthma, and overall has a weak body. It's not as bad as it once was when she was a baby, but she still has to deal with a lot of problems. But this has made her a very sympathetic person at heart, especially towards pokemon, having her father's natural love and appreciation for them.

Her starter pokemon was an Eevee gifted to her by uncle Gary on her 8th birthday party, much to Ash's dismay. Unlike her trainer, Eevee is bold, out there and always ready for a fight, being highly protective of Rachel. Eventually she evolves to become a Vaporeon, wanting to use her water powers in both combat, and to help Rachel when she can.

Rachel also has a younger brother called Percy, who is a little rascal, but adores his big sister. He may or may not have cried when she finally went on her first pokemon journey, leaving home to go to the region of Horae.

-Theo Oak- The 13-year-old son of Gary and Misty. Theo is a charming young boy who has a very buddy buddy relationship with people, and very expressive in himself. As a kid he was rather danger prone due to seeking out adventure everywhere, but has thankfully mellowed out a lot, even if he still enjoys the extreme side of life. With his father's side having a lot of pokemon knowledge, and mother's side of loving water pokemon, Theo is packed with information about water types, and shares Misty's love of them.

His starter pokemon was an Pichu gifted to him by uncle Ash, as revenge for Gary giving Rachel Eevee. As a Pichu, she had been so full of energy she was bouncing off the walls, but as she evolves into Pikachu and eventually Alolan Raichu, she calms down quite a bit and becomes more of a fun motherly pokemon, always eager to put an smile on people's faces. Having fun with her trainer at any chance they get.

-Sterling Kris- The 15-year-old son of Lyra and Silver. Sterling is the most mature out of the gang, and is very hard to phase, often calm and collected, which helps when dealing with a group like this. He mostly came on the pokemon journey to keep his cousin Rachel safe, but still enjoys what the trip offers him. He also has an odd quirk in that all his pokemon are female, and seems to have an easy time bonding with pokemon that are girls. People theories that he just has a pleasant aura around him that makes him feel safe for them.

His starter was a Togepi, having raised her from an egg that his father found during a police raid on illegal pokemon poaching. No matter how much she grows, even once she becomes a Togekiss, she is a diva of a pokemon, wanting to look her best and has a habit of taking anything that interests her, especially shiny things. But she is a sweet lady, often cuddly in nature and adores Sterling, being the vocal one for the both of them.

-Zee Gropius- The 14-year-old daughter of N and Hilda. Zee is kind spirit, having her father's ability to talk to pokemon, and is an outdoor girl at heart. Though she is a little ditzy and naive, having been a last minute addition to this traveling group of friends when N and Hilda feared she wouldn't do well alone. She has a lot of love to give, always wanting to make friends with people and pokemon, and always takes in everything around her.

Her starter was a Deino she found when he was just a baby, having lost his mother in the middle of the night, Zee hearing him cry in fear. Despite the reputation of this pokemon and it's evolutions, Deino is a chonky lovable big baby that always wants treats and snuggles. Even as he gets bigger and becomes a Hydreigon. Zee is his family, and he will never see it any other way.

Roselia: OKAY. look. at first, i was like, no, i'm not giving him the literal rose pokemon, that's too obvious, but. well. how can you build ten without rose. integral to who he is AND canonically he is weird enough to have replaced her once with a cat also named rose. so. he'd definitely be weird enough to dedicate an entire team slot to a pokemon related to her name. there's also the fact that roselia is not actually, by title, the rose pokemon, it's the thorn pokemon, it is both beautiful, with an incredibly calming presence and scent, and covered in poisonous thorns. felt fitting.

Vaporeon: by law all doctor teams need an eevee or eeveelution on there somewhere, and I thought actually having one evolved fit Ten more, less in the sense that he's come into his own and more for the sense that he doesn't want to change. it terrifies him. and why vaporeon? well. did you know that in terms of human/pokemon breeding, vaporeon is-

Gothitelle: Gothitelle my beloved. Here are some relevant pokedex passages.

It can see the future from the movement of the stars. When it learns its Trainer’s life span, it cries in sadness.

Gothitelle unleashes psychic energy and shows opponents dreams of the universe’s end. These dreams are apparently ethereal and beautiful.

I was reading those and thinking about the fact we have that Ten was probably the shortest lived regeneration, and there's such a contrast there between the end of the universe itself (which he also went to see himself lol) and the brief blip of his "life span", as it were, in comparison to that. Also, Gothitelle's hidden ability is Shadow Tag, which prevents opponents from leaving battle. and. (gestures at all the times ten made things so much worse because he couldn't let things go)

Joltik: SHUSH i swear its not just here because i love joltik. although i do. look at that little face. adorable. but also. Joltik: The Attaching Pokemon, with pokedex entries that literally all revolve around it clinging onto other pokemon to get the energy it needs to keep itself alive. perfect pokemon for mr "if i'm not in a weird codepedent friendship right now i'll kill myself".

Absol: I think Absol could really be a shoe-in for any Doctor team. It's position as the Disaster pokemon is just. really obvious. And the fact that it doesn't actually bring disaster, just senses it and tries to come and warn people, gaining itself a reputation as a harbinger is even more so. And for me, I also remember vaguely a little fact about Absol in competitive. It has fairly good attack, not great but good enough to rank it, if not for the fact that it's defense is so mediocre in comparison. But, this could be a fine set-up for a sort of glass cannon build. Just one small problem. Absol has never been fast enough to pull it off in a way that makes it viable in higher tiers. And ain't that just the doctor in a nutshell, harbinger of disaster, coming to warn everyone, always too late, the guy with a time machine and never enough time.

Entei: And finally. You gotta have a legendary in a slot somewhere. I debated back and forth on if this should be Entei or Raikou. I knew I wanted it to be one of the 2nd gen legendary trio because their pokedex entries and everything about them is about how they run. they're always running. they're a bitch and a half to catch in-game because they'll flee every other turn if you don't tie them down. Raikou was in the running for being the thunder pokemon, thee oncoming storm, but in the end, I went with Entei, thinking of Pompeii.

It's illegal in Paldea to experiment on Tatsugiri due to their human-like intelligence

Tatsugiri in captivity have been known to break free from their aquarium tanks by opening latches and maneuvering through pipes

Two young men walk down the riverbank. Some would say that they are full of vim and vigor, but I would say that they are full of zeal and the flashing momentum of light and delight that right now is youthful defiance but later will be the steel determination of blade and shot.

The taller one is animated, black curly locks bouncing as he extols whatever virtue or lack of it he wishes today. The other has fastidiously styled his hair even on such a casual day, powdered locks framing a contemplative expression.

Beside them gambol new companions; two brown furred foxes peeking out over the voluminous tan fluff that serves as natural collars. They are a popular Pokémon as of late, symbolic of the potential and change of what is brewing in the air.

(And this was a time when there were only believed to be three paths for an Eevee to take; that of graceful water, zealous lightning or dancing flame.)

Ah, but they do also appreciate the fluff and the warmth of a Flareon- perhaps a Flareon would match the flames of my Ponyta, do you think?"

"But you do not consider Jolteon?" Bessières asks.

"It has its charms. White and yellow, a dazzling choice!"

"And fierce," Bessières says. "And bold. I have decided: You may have water, Joachim, and I will take lightning."

Murat stops in his tracks. He raises an eyebrow. "Are you suggesting that you wish to be the better of me, my dear friend?" His tone is teasing but not so light, probing at something unspoken but not unacknowledged.

Quietly but no less firmly, Bessières replies, "I do not know if there is a soul who could best you."

The two Eevees are not paying attention to this conversation, not at all, and so with the timing of a dramatic comedian-

One falls in the water.

"Ee-v-oi, ee-v-oi!" the other cries out, before jumping in as well.

They cannot swim! They are not imbued with the elemental energy of water that is collected in the miraculous Water Stone yet. Perhaps they could be taught to swim, but not yet, not yet.

And so the two men dash over to save their wayward pups, much to Bessieres' consternation as the powder in his hair soaks with water and powdered "snow" collects on his shoulders.

"Perhaps if there was an Ice Stone, that would suit you quite well!" Murat says with a laugh, later, as the two men sit on the edge of the river and dry off, Murat's Eevee shivering close to him, Bessières' shaking itself off quite nonchalantly.

"So you may retain your claim over water? That would suit me fine; unless it is discovered a path for Eevee that is more elegant and beautiful than Vaporeon, then I shall pursue that- if only to best you, Joachim."

"I look forward to the attempt!" Murat says.

And he truly does.

Was just reading your work and imagined a Maglor with the hobbits but it’s also your Pokemon au as well how do you think miriel absol would think about him being this close all along

Personally, I think she knows. Being a pokemon that is so intuned to Maglor’s singing, through vibrations in the Music or something, and since Elrond lets her and Halda just roam (they're outside pets basically, even if Elrond would like them to spend more time in Rivendell proper with him) and it isn't weird of she strays for a couple of days, or follows Elrond’s twins on a hunt of theyre going west.

She stays by the rivers, close to the Brandywine and a Vaporeon will emerge to gossip with her. He'll tell her about how things are going with Maglor, and at first they're dreadful, but over the years and decades the news will become lighter until they are laughing at tales of Old Maggie Took.

Shes pleased, with Maglor’s healing. She grieves a little wishing Maedhros could have had the chance to heal with his brother as Halda dreams of when the Absol shares the news with the Zoroark. But well, maybe its for the best. She tries to lead Elrond’s sons to Hobbiton more than once, but the little beings think its such a fun game to play keep away with the elves that she hardly bothers anymore. Maglor is happy, and she tries her best to inform Elrond of that, so he's happy as he can be too.

Its only on one visit, well into the third millenia of the 3rd Age when she feels it. Her skin crawls and her fur stands on edge, something she's never felt on the edges of the Shire before, even when she travels through or past those haunted hills of the former Human Kingdoms. This is a different type of evil, a pure type she hasn't felt in Ages, last on the battlefield that shattered Kunyar and made the ghost pokemon dormant. She races into the Shire for the first time, not caring who sees her as she tracks the source of the Evil.

Soon, she crests a small hill, perching on top of a little hobbit hole, a light growl escaping her teeth and she glares down, down at the little being with something so FOUL in his pocket.

"My Goodness!" The little being gasps, hands inching towards his hip where a sword might be if he carried one on him. He trembled in his garden, realizing he has nowhere to run if she left at him.

And she could, she could jump and rip that nasty little thing in his pocket right off him, run it back to Elrond and Halda for they'll know what to do with the Ring.

But before she could do anything, a large Corviknight screamsbpopping out of the little wooden ball that Mortals like to keep their pokemon in. He roars and flaps his giant wings, furious at her for threatening HIS former master's dear Burglar. She could take this silly bird, but she won't. Before she can lunge with a fire fang, out of the corner of her eye she spots a Vaporeon dashing out from the river behind this hobbit hole.

"Stop!" He cries, "What are you doing you can't attack Bilbo! Hes done nothing wrong!"

The Absol shakes off the pleading, standing tall and knowing all eyes are on her, hobbit, pokemon, and even a single Elf gaze, shocked and stunned at seeing her for the first time in over 6 thousand years.

"Hear me!" She calls, knowing that only the pokemon can understand her words, but watching the Hobbits flinch away from her cry. "Hear me because I feel a great evil in this land! A discordant note in the Song and it resides in the shape of a ring in his pocket." She turns to peer at the hobbit, at Bilbo, from around the Corviknight. The hobbit shrinks behind the large pokemon. "That ring will bring downfall and doom! Beware!"

With that, and a fleeting glance towards Maglor once more, drinking in his healthy glow and well dressed, if strange, appearance, then bounds back to Rivendell.

Halda needs to know about this maybe she can speak to Elrond and warn him.

Name: Oscar (like Oscuro aka Dark in Spanish)

Personality: Protective, Guarded, Nocturnal

Other: Oscar is very protective of Penny. If he ever senses that Penny is in danger or distressed, he'll actively guard her and glare at whoever is causing her distress. He responds to her emotions rather acutely. And when he's not on guard duty, if it's daytime, he most often can be found napping in the shade somewhere.

Name: Spray (from the constant need for the Spray bottle as a baby {he loved it})

Personality: Mischievous, Playful, Quick to Run

Other: Spray loves to cause trouble. You know how cats like knocking things off tables? That's Spray. Even when he's not causing trouble, he'll flee if Penny looks at him with a certain expression for too long. He thinks it's Playing.

Jolteon ♂

Name: Fizz (Like Fizzle, which his energy never does)

Personality: Excitable, Full of Energy, Very Friendly

Other: Fizz will actively run up to people and pokemon to say hi, especially if they are/have electric types. He won't zap you on purpose, but if he gets Too excited, he becomes very staticy.

Flareon ♂

Name: Winnie (because he's a Weenie [affectionate])

Personality: Mildly Aggressive, Kinda Dumb, A Lap Veevee

Other: Winnie is a yappy boy. He will yell at things he sees as threats, which is most things. Even his own reflection. He's mainly just calm around Penny and the other Veevees. If he stops yelling and instead makes his way onto your lap, you know he likes you and considers you a friend. The best way to get him to stop yelling, Penny has found, is to hold him in her lap and cover his eyes until he settles down.

Leafeon ♀

Name: Bean (short for Vanilla Bean, a Sweet but difficult crop)

Personality: Aloof, Loner, Charming

Other: Bean likes to be on her own. She won't complain if someone sits by her when she's loafing, but given the choice, she'll be by herself. At least most of the time. Whenever she wants attention, she's very good at charming anyone around her to give her praise and pets with her Baby-Doll Eyes and her pitiful cries. She knows what she's doing.

Sylveon ♀

Name: Veenus (like Veevees)

Personality: Calm, Patient, Huggable

Other: Veenus was the first Eevee Penny ever had. She's been with her for a very long time, since even before she started her transition. She was always there as emotional support and would snuggle up to her whenever Penny needed. While Oscar is in tune with Penny's emotions, it's nowhere near the level of Veenus, simply from experience.

Eevee ♀

Name: Gracia (Like Gracias because thankful little girl)

Personality: Curious, Adventurous, Sweetie

Other: Gracia is the newest addition to the family. She loves exploring everything around her which can and has gotten her stuck in places she shouldn't be. And every time she's rescued, she's so very grateful, she will give licks and nuzzles and show her gratitude with affection.

Pokémon in: Omori

Chapter 4

Everyone quickly chimed down the ladder.

"Don't worry Kel, I'm sure he's around here some." Hero said. Kel was frantically searching for the fallen Pokéball, but to no avail. Aubrey smacked Kel.

"How could you lose your Pokémon?!" She yelled.

"Hey. Hey. Calm down. Kel, don't worry, maybe we'll find him while looking for Basil?" Hero suggested. Kel nodded and everyone started climbing again. The ladder was long. There was an Ekans with a space helmet. Omori reflected. During the search for Hector, the feeling of Deja Vu, was gone. It's back now, but still. The climb was long. Very long. Eventually, they ended up in an underground area, before finally ending up above ground. Kel planted a flag.

"That's one small step for Kel, one giant leap for Kelkind!" He said, throwing out Spinda's Pokéball, releasing the Pokémon. Aubrey then noticed what the flag was as she finished climbing.

"Is that my Butt Certificate?!" She yelled. Omori and the three Pokémon reached the top now as well. Aubrey sends out Bun Bun, who tries to take the certificate, but Spinda stops it.

"Kel! Take it down!" Aubrey yelled.

"But look at it! So majestic…so beautiful…" Kel says, a single tear falling down his face. Spinda salutes. Hero finally reaches the top of the ladder, panting and exhausted.

"Hero! Make him take it down!" Aubrey yelled. Hero, who collapsed into the ground, puts a hand up.

"Hold…hold on a minute…I need to…catch my breath…" Hero said. Dolliv left its Pokéball.

"Alright. I guess it can stay…" Aubrey said. She felt a little bad for Kel because of the Hector thing. Omori helps Hero to his feet. They look around and see purple trees all around, and only two paths to go down. They go down one of the paths and reach a Campsite. There were some cars, a path, and Mari!

Everyone ran over to Mari, who was eating with her Pokémon. In the area was a floating mirror, a mailbox, a water trowel, a wanted poster, and some hay bales. Mari's Pokémon were also there. Mewo was on her lap. Vaporeon was relaxing in the water trowel, completely at peace. Flittle was in the nearby treed gathering berries. Pawmi and Illumise were playing in the hay. Krikitot was bothering the guy in the mailbox.

"Oh, hey guys! Isn't this place cool? Tourists from all over the galaxy come here for rest and relaxation. I also hear that the leader of the Space Pirates lives here!" Mari said. Everyone went to the picnic blanket and sent out their Pokémon. The Pokémon immediately began to take in their surroundings. Mari did notice one Pokémon was missing.

"Hey Kel, where's Hector?" Mari asked. Kel's face fell.

"I dropped his Pokéball and now I can't find it!" Kel cried. He ran up and hugged Mari, causing Mewo to run out of the way.

"There there, Kel. I'm sure you'll find Hector!" Mari said, comforting him. Kel cried for a few more seconds before letting go of Mari. He wiped away his tears.

"You're right. I need to stay strong. For Hector!" Kel said, dramatically. Hero chuckled a bit. The group ate some space-tube food. Then, they went up the stairs nearby. There was a draconic house, another set of stairs, a present shaped house, a path somewhere, some cars, and a mysterious stranger trying to hide behind a tree.

They disturbed him.

The Mysterious guy sent out Roggenrola, Kantonian Graveler, Carbink, and Amoura. The guy flexed and felt his best!

Hero sent out Dolliv.

Kel sent out Spinda.

Aubrey sent out Bun Bun

Omori sent out Ralts.

Roggenrola used Stone Edge, hitting Ralts. Spinda used Tackle on Carbink. It doesn't do much. Aubrey cheers on Omori. Omori feels happy? The right arm punches Kel. The left arm annoys Aubrey. Aubrey became Angry. Ralts used Pychic. It lifts Amaura into the air and launches it at the round guy. Amaura gives a death glare. Ralts is a little nervous. Kel's Ball flies everywhere, hitting the guy and his arms. Hero smiles. Amaura used Avalanche! Dolliv fainted.

"Oh no! Dolliv!" Hero yelled, returning it to its Pokéball. He sent out Sinistea. Bun Bun was badly hurt. Spinda was hurt bad, but Ralts managed to dodge! Bun Bun used Water Gun, spraying all opponents. It's Super Effective! Spinda gets lifted by Ralts before using Dizzy Punch on Graveler. Graveler used Rollout. Ralts dodged, but the others weren't so lucky. Meanwhile, the trainers were also fighting. Omori slashed wildly! The opponent stopped.

"Impressive. Let's see how you handle this!" He said, and he expanded. Then, he pushed Kel, turning the boy into toast! Everyone looked shocked. Hero grabbed the little toast, and held it protectively. Before also being attacked and turned Toast.

"Hero! Kel!" Aubrey yelled. The Pokémon saw this. Even more determined, they dodged Roggenrola's Earthquake thanks to Ralts. These Pokémon may be stronger, but they had numbers and friendship! Ralts levitated Graveler, slamming it fullforce into Roggenrola! Roggenrola fainted. Graveler used Rollout, fainting Bun Bun! Aubrey sent out Nidoran ♀️. Nidoran ♀️ charged at Amaura and used Headbutt! Carbink used Rock Tomb. Ralts fainted. Mawile entered the battle. Everyone was losing. Omori was holding the two pieces of toast, trying to protect them. The Pokémon knew they needed to win! Mawile used Bite! Amaura fainted. Carbink used Rock Tomb, before it was countered by poison Sting. Spinda used Dizzy Punch! Carbink became confused, fainting itself in confusion. Sinistea used Shadow Ball, defeating Graveler. Meanwhile, Aubrey and Omori were dodging Attack after attack. The enemy was about to hit Omori, when Aubrey shoved him out of the way! She turned to toast. Omori cradled the toast. Omori became Angry! Omori stabbed the enemy! Mawile bit the enemy! Nidoran ♀️ fired out Poison Stings. Sinistea launched a Shadow Ball! At the same time their opponents used his ultimate attack! Mawile fainted. Sinistea fainted. Spinda fainted Nidoran ♀️ fainted. Omori

Omori did not succumb! The enemy was finally beaten!

He flew off. Omori grabbed the toast and ran to Mari.

"Oh no! Your friends became toast!" She said.

"Don't worry, I can fix it!" She said, Omori saw white and his friends were better, as were the Pokémon. Omori hugged his friends tightly.

"Omori, are you alright?" Hero asked. Omori just kept hugging.

"Man…that was a tough fight, but it looks like you won!" Aubrey said. Omori finally let go. He looked to his Pokémon. Mawile and Ralts were kinda confused, but it's a dream world soooo.

Ralts sensed a lot from Omori. Fear, relief, happiness. All so muted. It was almost as if the cliff-faced boy wasn't used to emotions. He was originally a coping mechanism, right? That's what they saw when he was created. But, he has sentience, and has had it for a long time. Why were these feelings seemingly so new to him? Ralts shrugged it off. The group headed up to the Anchor shaped house.

Eevee & the evolutions are my fav Pokémon ever so it only makes sense to name them that. I’m gonna go in order of who I got first & add a lil’ description, if you want to know anything, let me know! (Also sorry this is probs really long lol)

Umbreon- 4 y/o, black cat, rescued from outside, he looks grumpy but is the cuddliest out of the bunch.

Espeon- 3 y/o, white cat, adopted, she’s shy but will follow you everywhere if you have her fav mouse toy on you.

Eevee- 6 y/o, brown/white tabby, adopted, she’s the oldest, & loves to lay on the bay window esp when it rains.

Vaporeon - 1 y/o, dark grey cat, found outside of my work place, she’s the youngest, & likes to attack shoe laces.

Flareon - 4 y/o, red/orange tabby, adopted, he loves to lay on the heating pad & will meow at you until you turn it on.

Jolteon - 5 y/o, light orange tabby, brother rescued him n gave him to me, likes to lay at the bay window n judge everyone that walks by our house.

Leafeon - 2 y/o, Siamese, foster fail lol, she was so sweet n she just fit right in with everyone so I had to keep her.

Glaceon - 3 y/o, light grey tabby, another foster fail lol, she likes to hide under beds/couches n lightly touch your legs with her paws.

Sylveon - 4 y/o, calico, found on side of the road, she likes to just stare at you and purr lol.

They each have their own fuzzy blanket, they all enjoy sitting outside when it’s sunny & warm, and will all pile up on you if you sit on the couch for longer than 30 mins lol. Sending you love n kisses! Hope you have a great day today!! <33

Jolteon presses against your skirts, the spiked fur poking through the fabric of the light summer kimono and into the skin of your knee. It grounds you from the roiling anger in your gut as you watch happy couples and jeering salarymen wander into the Game Corner for an afternoon of 'fun.'

You think quietly of Clair and her mission here. You think, very quietly, of what she might do - and Jolteon sends a short bolt of static through you as he echoes your thoughts.

Before you can stew deeper on it, Kuni returns with her arms full of boxes, Vaporeon dogging her steps with little chirping cries, and draws you from your thoughts.

"I found such beautiful matching hair pieces - so I got one for everyone. Sorry!"

A sigh (she's definitely spent over budget) and a smile greets her as she hands out a hair piece decorated with small yellow flowers for you. She wears a matching one decorated by Oran flowers in her own hair.

"We should get going. The train is leaving soon."

Ever since coming to the region, he had felt watched. Or perhaps thats just his paranoia settling in. But the region .... strong pokemon were much more active then he thought, and so with that in mind he had purposely strolled into somewhere isolated, ears wriggling and stretching their senses far as they could. And waited.

Ngl I’ve been here before, I’ll deem myself noodle for that sake.

But your Hisui’d child series gets my brain working.

Like imagine trying to readapt to life, but it’s not that easy.

The scars that litter their flesh from all the times they risked their life with wild Pokémon, alpha Pokémon, nobles, and GODS! A child doing a grown adults job.

The angst of dad (Ingo or Emmet) seeing some of those and realizing they almost completely lost their child.

Or the PTSD after everything they have been through.

Haxorus letting out a happy roar? Suddenly their child has thrown themselves over and behind the couch like they were dodging an attack. (While the Hisui’d child’s mind went back to fighting that alpha Garchomp.)

Galvantula making sparks out of excitement? Emmet is suddenly yanked back and away from his Pokémon full force, cause his child’s panicked brain went back to wild Luxray’s attacking them.

Just things like that and the twins having to try and help but also sob because just what the hell were you put through? You loved their Pokémon, who made you feel so afraid?

It doesn’t help when their poor child cries, apologizing for acting like that and that they didn’t mean to freak them out.

Mmm angst, truly amazing.(as is your writing)

my dearest noodle,,,,i’ve been watching this specific response in my inbox for SO LONG but now that emmet’s version of the hisui’d!child series has come out, i now feel better to respond to this.

first of all, i wrote and imagined ingo and emmet’s children to have different personalities before and after hisui. for ingo, his child was more responsible, headstrong, and driven pre-hisui and more anxious, apprehensive, and defensive post-hisui. for emmet, his child was more free-flowing, adventurous, and spunky pre-hisui and more aggressive, cold, and weary post-hisui. due to their diverging personalities, i’d say they’d have different reactions to life after returning home to nimbasa.

ALSO!! i mentioned in this post. that ingo’s child’s team post-hisui was walrein, snorlax, vaporeon, clefable, torterra, and hisuian goodra, and that emmet’s child’s team was drapion, infernape, staraptor, garchomp, machamp, and hisuian zoroark. just wanted to throw that out there before i start spitballing some ptsd things

for ingo’s kid:

Chandelure freaks you out. It reminds you of all the malicious ghosts that would come out at night. You try your best to get along with your father’s partner, but when it starts singing to you, you can’t help but summon Goodra to hold you close and drown out the noise, trying not to cry.

(Ingo cries at this because he remembers the times when you were so young and refused to fall asleep unless Chandelure sang you a lullaby.)

You watch your Pokémon play fight with Ingo’s in the backyard, but your heart is pounding out of your chest and you can’t sit still. It’s been a long time since you’ve seen Pokémon battling that wasn’t a serious situation.

Ingo tries to get your Pokémon to relax, but they’re not used to the situation in modern times where Pokémon are normalized to be out and about and intermingling with people. 

They still absentmindedly interpose themselves between you and anyone approaching.

You don’t like sleeping in a separated bedroom anymore, instead opting to sleep on the couch surrounded by your Pokémon. Ingo checks on you in the middle of the night a lot of times, waking up from nightmares of you disappearing again.

Haxorus is a snuggler, and she wants to cuddle you all the time. It’s hard for you, though, when she approaches you with the sharpened axes on her jaw. They remind you of your fight with Lord Cleavor, the scars on your arms from that encounter still remain.

Your Sawsbuck is the calm in the storm. It gets along with your new Pokémon wonderfully. On the days you feel unsafe, Ingo and Sawsbuck are at your sides, soothing you and keeping you close.

Almost every time Ingo watches you get scared, he sees you stand strong and bare it first, but then after the encounter he sees you dissolve into a fearful mess later. There was so much expected of you, and your mind can’t handle the pressure of being strong anymore.

In the middle of a long, exhaustive night where you can’t fall asleep, you lean against Ingo and tell him the story of what it was like to be banished, to be pushed away and unloved. You tell him the awful things people said about you and how alone you felt.

“You’ve never made me feel like that, dad…I missed you so much.”

A lot of times you collapse into tears, unable to put the pain into real words. Ingo cries with you every time. You will never be alone again.

You tell him what it's like to hold the weight of the world.

for emmet’s kid:

Emmet realizes very quickly that you do not like to be touched. You are covered in phantom aches and pains and it's hard to keep track of the injuries that are real and the ones that are not.

You sometimes catch yourself keeping Emmet’s affections at arms length. He’s your father, but the idea of being open again scares you to your core.

Surprises and loud noises are met with immediate fleeing. You’re incredibly agile, diving through door frames and over furniture when you hear the sound of Archeops squawking. She’s an incredibly kind Pokémon, but her call sends you into a frenzy.

Being in a city the size of Nimbasa makes you nervous, even though you lived here your whole life before Hisui. You claim people are watching you at all times, judging you, and Emmet assures you that they’re not.

(If they were to be, however, Emmet is not one to squander his second chance with you, and nobody will hurt you again.)

The Pokémon your birth father gave you do not get along with the Pokémon you kept from Hisui. They fight all the time, and Emmet holds you back every time from interfering. 

Emmet can see how two sides of you are split into two when this happens. Both sets of Pokémon are very strong, and some of them stood beside you as you grew up, and the others stood by your side in your time of need.

You’re hostile. Things that normally wouldn’t bother you set you on edge. You snap and scream and put up walls in an instant.

Some of your new Pokémon still don’t trust Emmet. Your Hisuian Zoroark is the main perpetrator of this; Zoroark does not fuck with Emmet at all. Any misstep your father makes to you, unknowingly or otherwise, and it’s on sight.

After many months of being back home, you tell Emmet about a blond man you met. You don’t say his name, but you tell your father that he manipulated you, acted like you were friends, and then tried to kill you. You tell him about the betrayal you felt and what the pressure of that battle felt like.

“You never pressured me to be strong, Papa…all you ever wanted for me was to be me. I love you so much.”

You rarely ask for hugs, but when you do, Emmet spares no expense in the short time they last.

You tell him what it’s like to be a hero.

Guys, it's May

So I decided to remake the mermaid/merman drawing I did before because the old one sucks. And also because it’s “mermay” and stuff. And I thought it would be funny if I based the mermaids off of Pokemons and if I rambled on about unimportant things about mermaid people. Which you can read below this.

Sordward: Wishiwashi (to completely level with you, I was going to either pick Wishiwashi or Dragonair, but I think Dragonair is more of a snake, so… I don’t know? I just gave him the Dragonair’s horn and the orb thing, for reasons below this)

Shielbert: Seaking

Emmet: Eelektross

Ingo: Shiny Gyarados (… don’t know why I made it a shiny, but here we are)

Elesa: Milotic (I know an electric Pokemon would’ve worked, but I already gave Emmet Eelektross, plus, I think the whole “shining beauty” and Miltoic being one of the most beautiful Pokemons works okay together-)

So here’s the thing, Sordward and Shielbert just kinda sucks when it comes to existing. Like, they get stuck in nets or between rocks, captured by people, or get beached. Just anything you can imagine. 

They only managed to survive this long because they have each other’s backs. Like, if one of them is in trouble, the other one WILL either rescue them or get in trouble as well. The rest is a matter of luck.

And for Sordward. While it’s a bit similar to the counterpart of Wishiwashi; very weak on his own and cries (whenever his younger brother gets hurt or emotions get too intense, specifically). He’s not shy, introverted, or a crybaby. Bitch personality is still the same.

But like, even if he’s weak on his own, do NOT mess with him or his younger brother. He can absolutely annihilate anyone with that Wishiwashi school form.

Like, the orbs on his body, right? That’s kinda how he gets the school form from, because no one else is willing to put up with him. The powerful orbs react based on his emotions and then he does the magical girl transformation thing, so yeah-

He got the orbs by stealing it from actual Dragonairs, and the horn. He stole the orbs because he just found it… well, alluring. And the horn to match his Younger Brother’s one. He was a bit self-conscious for not having one-

Shielbert is very close friends with a Vaporeon, a Dewgong and a Buizel. Despite both Dewgong and Buizel not being in Galar, he just manages to find them both wandering around. He's very weak too, but he still tries to protect those he cares about-

Emmet is the only one with sharp teeth. Well, they’re not THAT sharp. He’s not able to cut through things unless he actually tries to do so. Same goes for the claws.

My man Emmet is like, an actual electrical hazard. Being an electric type eel in the water. Using his full on electric powers will probably kill everyone that lives in the sea. Or like, a sea creature even touching him- (unless they’re also electric type)

… I mean, if a person were to touch him, it’ll only give a little shock. Nothing too drastic. But like, his hands are the worst place to touch. You’ll actually perish because that’s where the electric thing generates from-

Emmet also prefers to live in the darkness, or just, very far from the surface because the light up there sucks ass. It’s NOT because he’s an electrical hazard (he couldn’t really care about that), he just legit prefers to live in darkness.

And plus, his electric bullshit can light up the way, so it’s a good thing for him. And he lives with other Tynamos, because they treat him as his dad-

… He also lives in the dark abyss because you can find a lot of weird stuff down there that people dropped. Like that bag he carries, he found it there and keeps it for carrying things.

Ingo is like, a very tall and big fish person. And very intimidating, too. Well, when glancing at him, anyway. In reality, he’s just the same man as you know him to be; a bit goofy, much like Emmet.

And like, he’s a bit shy about how tall and big he is. Since it’s a bit awkward when he tries to talk to other people… At least getting rid of selfish people isn’t a problem if he’s very tall and powerful.

But you know, just because he’s tall and strong doesn’t mean he’s like, “the king of the sea”. Not at all. He’s just a generic guy that helps those who need his guidance to go places. And Emmet sort of does the same thing. Well, guiding those away from the darkness since normally people don’t go in the deep dark abyss.

… Elesa doesn’t do much. I mean, “the shining beauty”, right? She just does whatever she does originally. She can also sing pretty well... She’s very strong too. Could absolutely beat the shit out of anyone.

I mean… She does visit Emmet and Ingo because they’re friends. Maybe Ingo more since Emmet just lives in the darkness. But like, best friends for life- (she’s very close with the Tynamos too-)

So yeah, everyone has a way to defend themselves besides Shielbert. But like still, Shielbert has Sordward being very protective of him, so… you can’t exactly mess with him-
