Off to Anime Expo~
My Ita backpack and badge lanyard are ready 😊 (decided to give Frieren some love in addition to SxF)
In a few hours I'll be heading to Anime Expo, which is the largest anime convention in North America! Since it's local, I go every year that I can - this will be my fourteenth year attending 😃 But only my second year since becoming hyperfixated on SxF, haha.
Takuya Eguchi, the voice of Loid, made an appearance at the expo last year and I was able to attend his panel. Wrote about it here, but yeah, it was fun! There was quite a lot of SxF appreciation all over the expo last year (photos here and here), so I'm hoping we'll see more of it this year too! No SxF guests have been announced this year, however Toho Animation will be having a SxF panel (together with Kaiju No.8) later today.
There are no specifics yet about what will be discussed in that panel, but I have my fingers crossed for season 3 crumbs 🤞 WIT Studio will also be having a group panel with other studios on Saturday, but from what I'm hearing, they may not be involved with season 3. We'll see.
Last year I made a few posts while I was at the expo. I might do that again this year, or just make one big post when I get back. Depends how much time I have while I'm there. Also, since the last day of the expo is on Sunday, my post about the new SxF chapter will be delayed. I might not get to it until later that day, or the next day depending on how tired I am 😅

Are you looking forwards to the new Black Butler season? (I believe they announced it at anime expo)
Or do you read the manga?
+
Anonymous asked:
what do you think about black butler new anime season? can we hope for more kuro content?🥺
+
Anonymous asked:
Have you heard?
Black Butler is getting a season 4!!
Crunchyroll announced that a new season of Black Butler is now in the works for a release in 2024!!! 🎉🎉
Finally! it's been 84 years....💀💀
-------------
THE TIMING OF THAT ANNOUNCEMENT… It really is as if the colour wheel thing manifested it lol the trailer dropped out of nowhere.
To be honest, we don’t really think much about the anime? It’s great that the manga keeps getting anime adaptations: the previous stuff has been pretty neat, and I hope it’ll bring revenue to all the hardworking people involved in the project, especially Yana herself lol We just hope they don’t use 3d for the animation.
I already mentioned it, but after rewatching all of the currently available seasons, we started reading the manga, but we stopped pretty early on because of twst. We still want to continue reading it at some point… So it’s very likely that we won’t watch the season at all. But who knows, there’s still a lot of time until it airs!
And when it comes to us posting more fanart, it honestly all depends on when we decide to continue reading the manga. When we do and if we have anything nice to post, we’ll definitely do it.
Not when the anime airs though, because we can’t deal with all the obnoxious people that are going to pop up immediately when it’s ongoing. It’s so not fun when it happens, we’d rather deal with the half-dead fandom instead.
I am very happy you guys are excited to see more kuroshitsuji stuff from us <3

What do you think about these rumors of a new Kim Possible series this summer?
Ah yes, Anon, I have been posting in response to the rumors because that is what they are: rumors. And as it stands as my position, I usually take such KP rumors with MAJOR grains of NaCl (aka salt). And I will not believe anything unless Disney announces something about it (something similar to when Mr. Dan Povenmire announced that there were gonna be two more seasons-aka 40 episodes divided in half- of Phineas and Ferb .) Until that time comes, I will not believe anything from other sites. And if it were going to be announced officially, it would be through Disney TV Animation twitter. But I think, (and this is my opinion) is that there is only a slim chance of that happening because we gotta take into account several things. First off, if there were a reboot/continuation of KP, Disney needs to take into account that there would have to be a new Nana Possible, Timothy North, Jack Hench, Mama Lipsky, and Senor Senior Senior as those VAs of their respective characters (as well as both VAs of Senior) are deceased. Secondly, the timing. The most ample opportunity that Disney had in announcing a KP reboot/continuation would've been at the D23 Expo last September. And it just so happened that both Christy Carlson Romano and Will Friedle were there and it just so happens that they were holding a 20th Anniversary KP panel there (I am hoping to find a video on Youtube). So the opportunity was there for them to announce something, because if such a reboot/continuation would've been announced at the D23 Expo, the media would've been all over it. But when the expo ended, KP fans got nothing, nathan, nada . Thirdly, CCR herself is quite busy with raising a family plus she is doing three podcasts (her Vulnerable podcasts that she normally posts on her Youtube channel every Tuesday, her I Hear Voices podcasts with Will that she posts onto Apple and Spotify every Monday and her upcoming Even Stevens podcast that she is doing with the actors that played Beans and Donnie Stevens ) and she is also doing that voice-actor contest with Will for IHeartRadio as well. Fourthly, and lastly, animation is not only expensive but also takes a lot of time to make. (Simply do a Google search on how long and how expensive it is for Fox/Disney to make a single episode of Family Guy or Simpsons.)
I also tend to keep a very close eye on the KP hashtag, especially here on Tumblr and Twitter.
Then again, when I say slim chances of a reboot/continuation, I point to their (albeit brief) appearances so far on Chibiverse (so far, it has only been Kim, Ron, and Rufus) and it was mentioned back in last July from Disney TVA News that there were (maybe are) gonna be Chibi Tiny Tales of KP. So we (may) get future KP content in the form of 70-second shorts.
Whew, that was a long response. But again, thanks for your question, Anon. :)

Alright gang, the schedule for Anime Expo Lite is up, here’s what to expect in terms of TWEWY news.
The VIZ Media Panel is unlikely to have anything for us, unless they’re producing an anime the way they did with Seis Manos, or they’re planning on physically publishing a complete manga version of TWEWY here in the west.
The Yen Press Panel is unlikely to have anything for us, unless they are going to be publishing a full TWEWY manga digitally or a light novel.
Note: The two above companies both have previous Square Enix properties under their belts, including sometimes splitting the physical and digital release rights.
The DENPA Books panel is very unlikely have anything for us.
The Aniplex Panel is likely to have news for us, as the company has previously produced anime of Square Enix properties, including Fullmetal Alchemist.
The Bushiroad Panel is very unlikely to have anything for us, unless we’re getting a gacha game.
The J-Novel Panel is unlikely to have anything for us, unless they are planning on publishing light novels.
The Funimation Panel is very unlikely to have anything for us, as they have never previously produced an original anime.
The Right Stuf Anime 7 Nozomi Entertainent panel is very unlikely to have anything for us, as they do not produce original anime.
The Production I.G. panel is somewhat likely to have news, as they have previously produced anime, OVAs/ONAs and feature films.
The Crunchyroll Panel is somewhat likely to have news for us, as they have previously produced anime.
Overall, there’s a decent chance we’ll get an announcement about a TWEWY anime during Anime Expo Lite, but I am not hopeful about sequel news unless there is a surprise panel.

Anime Expo 2020 has officially been cancelled due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The next planned event will take place from July 2-5, 2021.
Dear Anime Expo Community,
This is a day my team and I hoped wouldn’t come, but it is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the cancellation of Anime Expo 2020. Our utmost concern is for the health and safety of our amazing Anime Expo community. We understand your disappointment as we are anime fans first and foremost too. As you can imagine, this was one of the most difficult decisions we have had to make in the 29 years of Anime Expo.
With the COVID-19 situation continually changing, as well as more restrictions in place worldwide and in our host city Los Angeles, we can’t in good faith move forward with this year’s event. We know it will affect all of you differently and we did not come to this decision lightly.
For exhibitors, artists, contractors, performers, and more, this impacts you on many levels. Anime Expo is an important source of income as well as inspiration for all of you. We know you have been working tirelessly in preparation for July and we appreciate your dedication to your craft.
For our staff and volunteers, who have been working hard, planning every detail of this year’s event since before AX 2019 ended, we share your sadness – please know we support you every step of the way as we turn our attention to next year, Anime Expo’s 30th anniversary!
For our attendees, AX is a place to see old friends, make new ones, and experience the immersive nature of the larger anime community. We will miss seeing you!
We thank each and every one of you for being a part of a community that makes Anime Expo such a special experience every single year.
Badge holders will have the option to receive a full refund or to have their badges rolled over to AX 2021. As this is a big undertaking, please give us time to get the process solidified and stay tuned for more information in the coming days. Exhibitors and artists can expect to receive information via email sometime next week.
Hotel room reservations booked through ConferenceDirect in the AX official hotel block will be automatically cancelled. If you booked a room outside the AX hotel block, please contact your hotel directly.
It remains our goal to provide fans and industry partners from around the world with a safe space to come together to celebrate and share our love of anime. We are committed to bringing you the best of the best next year as we return to Los Angeles for our 30th anniversary on July 2-5, 2021!
As I have said before, we are in this together. We love and support our community and know Anime Expo is an event like no other. Each summer, Anime Expo allows all of us to connect and share our love of anime and Japanese pop culture.
Be safe, continue to do your part, support your community, and most of all stay well!
We look forward to seeing you at AX 2021!

Ok, so a young Jack Sparrow tv series (based on the books) HAS to happen. Not because we want it to happen, but because I’ve been having these weird prophetic dreams about them.
When I was younger, I’ve had these prophetic dreams about stuff that would eventually come true the next day or so. They were rare, but I was always puzzled when they happened. It was never anything bad like in those Final Destination movies, but it was usually of great things happening to me in life.
During the months leading up to D23 Expo, I had a couple of dreams of Disney announcing a young Jack Sparrow series based on the books so I was highly convinced we were going to get an announcement for one at the Expo. To my disappointment, and to everyone else’s, we got no new Pirates news all together let alone anything having to do with a young Jack series.
Then I realized something; a young Jack series wasn’t announced at D23 in neither of my dreams. In both instances, the series was announced online. One was of me hearing it from a friend over a Skype call (which was weird bc I had never Skyped with that person in particular before), and the other were through articles online. So I was convinced we were going to hear some kind of announcement for it online.
I just had another one of those prophetic dreams about a young Jack series again yesterday morning, which is why I’m writing this. This time, it was still kinda “announced” online. It said one of the people in the company in charge of publishing the second editions knew something about a young Jack Sparrow series for Disney+ and actual information about the second editions. The word “animated” kept being thrown around (which was a first for me hearing it in my dreams), but then again, a made up name of someone casted to play young Jack looked eerily like him so it would have possibly been live action rather than animated. I kept getting conflicting information in that dream, but it brings me to my next few points.
First of all being, I believe if the series ends up being live action (I am one of the minority that wants the series to be live action, come @ me), whoever that will be casted to play young Jack may not have a big name in the industry yet and is no one we may expect to play him. That’s because in two of my dreams, my last one and the one before, I kept being thrown made up names of actors being casted to play young Jack. Both times after I had woken up from those dreams, I googled the names that were thrown at me while I could still remember them and nothing came up. I’m not saying anybody with the exact names that my head weirdly made up will be the one, but it’s gotta be someone relatively unknown.
Also Disney, FOR THE LOVE OF CALYPSO, if you are going to make a tv series based on the young Jack Sparrow books, PLEASE cast actors that are, or at least LOOK like the ages of the characters in the books. Like the only person in the Barnacle crew that would at least look somewhat mature is Fitzwilliam since he’s the oldest. I have seen way too many shows and movies where the actors playing teenage characters look waaaaay too old for their roles. I know it’s like labor laws and stuff, but if shows like Stranger Things, where much of the main cast were kids is possible, then having a young Jack Sparrow series with actual younger actors is possible too. Also, there are adults who look really young too, and this is coming from someone who looks 15 at the age of 22. This is why I was super mad when I started hearing the rumors about Zac Efron being casted because he is too old to play young young Jack and is way too close to being the age Johnny was when the first Pirates movie was made (Johnny was 39 in COTBP and Zac is currently 32), so Zac would be basically REPLACING Johnny, which is a huuuuuuge no-no! I would rather see that female-led reboot rather than seeing Disney disgrace both Johnny and Jack like that.
One more thing, my theory on the reason why the second editions are kinda being held from release as long as possible is because Disney is secretly working on a young Jack series for Disney+ and they want to wait until they potentially announce the series before they release the second editions, which is why the title of the second editions are The Original Adventures Of Young Jack Sparrow.
In my theory, if Disney is actually doing a young Jack series based on the books, anytime soon at that, they are probably silently working on a script right now, and probably lowkey panicking because of Johnny’s accusations being finally lifted. They would announce it mid-end of this year with the release of the second editions and probably have a cast already set, filming and post-production would take place in 2021 with a trailer being revealed at D23 Expo, and the episodes would start streaming early-mid 2022. This could be the case of any Pirates Disney+ series and not just one based on the young Jack books. They could want to do a new Pirates movie first before thinking about doing a TV show, but I’d rather have TV show first while we wait for a new movie because to be honest, I don’t think they know what they would want to do in terms of a new movie. The best possibility would be to have Johnny come back for his final hurrah, but that’s if Disney decides to hire him back as Captain Jack. If they do, they will have to rewrite whatever script they were already probably working on for a reboot without Johnny or Jack, delaying the production for the film even further. So it would make sense to have a TV show while they figure it out so we don’t have to wait any more longer than we have for new Pirates content.
So yeah, I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up, especially since I’m not anyone within inside Disney. I just wanted to get my weird predictions and theories out there lol.

Interview for Businesswoman & Life Magazine
Dear All,
I'm pleased to announced that the latest issue of Businesswoman & Life magazine has released an interview with me. :D
Check out the newest magazine of Businesswoman & Life, where you can find my interview and a press release dedicated to the charity auction for prof. Zbigniew Religa's Cardiovascular Foundation.
Link to the magazine's official website: http://businesswomanlife.pl
Moi Drodzy,
Z radością Was informuję, że w najnowszym magazynie Businesswoman & Life został wydrukowany ze mną wywiad. :D
Zapraszam do przeczytania wywiadu ze mną w magazynie oraz notki prasowej z aukcji charytatywnej dla Fundacji Rozwoju Kardiochirurgii im. prof. Zbigniewa Religi.
Link do strony magazynu: http://businesswomanlife.pl
Below, you’ll find a rough translation of the interview into English via Google Translator (I’m sorry, I was too lazy to translate it from scratch):
BWL: Kama Arts - a restless spirit. This time you travelled to Australia and New Zealand. Thanks to this trip new graphics were created for #TwoThumbsWildlife.
Kamila Wojciechowicz-Krauze: That's right, I traveled for a month and a half to Australia and New Zealand. The graphics were dedicated to the animals, that have suffered during recent Australian fires. I witnessed the smoke rising over Sydney. I am also constantly up to date with the situation in Australia. As a result of fires more than a billion animals died there, so I decided to donate 50 % of profits from the sale of the latest graphics to help endangered animals. In January I've sent funds to RSPCA, in February donated them to the Two Thumbs foundation Wildlife Trust. It is a koala asylum that has suffered much because of the disaster.
BWL: You also visited Art Next Expo in Hong Kong? How was it?
KWK: The Art Next Expo was great. It is an international art fair presenting art creators mainly from Asia, but also from other countries in the world. This year, however, it took place in specific due to the political situation.
There were multiple demonstrations taking place there for several months. I managed to avoid riots and reached the hotel safely on foot the day the demonstrators passed a short distance from the exhibition center, and the metro station was barricaded. The organizers of the Expo expressed gratitude towards all the international artists for visiting at this difficult time.
BWL: Last year brought you a lot of challenges new adventures, more awards. Among them it is worth mentioning the Award of Merit from the 3x3 Magazine of Contemporary Illustration.
KWK: I am very happy that my illustrations for "The Wind in the Willows" have been recognized by judges from the prestigious Society of Illustrators in New York. Last time my work was printed in their annual catalogue in 2015:
I appeared then as New Talent. Now my work has appeared in the Professional Show category. I believe that this will encourage Polish publishing houses to establish a professional cooperation with me.
BWL: I admit that sometimes it's hard to look away from your works - they are amazing, mysterious, full of mystery, multidimensional and ambiguous. Your abstractions can't get boring. I hope that a new collection is being created ...
KWK: Of course! It will be a series inspired by my travels, bird's-eye views and geological structures. During my trip around Central Australia, they inspired me the structure of orange stone and red sand. In New Zealand I was amazed by hot springs in Rotorua and glaciers in the Southern Alps, unfortunately shrinking at a terrifying pace.
BWL: Where can we meet you in the near future?
KWK: I invite you in May for the 11th Art Fresh Festival in Warsaw.
KAMILA ANNA WOJCIECHOWICZ-KRAUZE
- graphic artist and illustrator, born in Fitzroy, Australia. In 2013 she completed her Bachelor's degree at the graphics department at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, in the studio of prof. Smolnicki, and in 2015 she completed her Master's degree with Merit from Illustration at the University of Arts London in London. Winner of many competitions: 1st place in the competition Con / Corso Buenos Aires in Milan (2015), 2nd place in the Generation competition Young Artists (2016), 2x Merit and 2x Honorable Mentions in the "3x3 Magazine of Contemporary Illustration" in NYC. In 2017 and 2019 she participated at the Art Next Expo in Hong Kong. She had many exhibitions abroad, e.g. in New York, London, Milan, Pforzheim in Germany, as well as in Poland. Spring Anime 2019
Hi everyone! Hisashiburi (Long time no see)! I apologize for being MIA in terms of anime and manga for the past 3 months. There’s a reason for this...I haven’t watched or read manga AT ALL this winter season. T^T This has never happened to me before and it shocks me that I’ve gone this long without indulging in anime/manga. Honestly, the closest I’ve gotten to reading “manga” is reading webtoons on the WEBTOON and Tapas apps. This season has been so crazy because of real life stuff: grad school, work, and family commitments. BUT...after looking at the anime that are airing this season, I have a VERY strong feeling that I’m going to break my anime slump. With that being said, I’m so ready for the SPRING ANIME SEASON!!!
Here are the shows that I am planning on watching:
- Fruits Basket
OH MY GOOOOOD!!! I’ve been waiting for this anime to air since it was announced months ago! This series was one of my first anime and manga I’ve ever watched and read so it holds a very special place in my heart. I never knew how much I wanted a reboot of this amazing series until I watched the first trailer. I apologize in advance because THIS is the anime I won’t shut up about for the next few months. For those of you who are going into this series for the first time...you are in for an amazing ride. Trust me.
- One Punch Man 2
YAAAAASSSS! Everyone and their mother have been waiting for a second season of this series since the 1st season ended. When it was announced that OPM 2 was airing this year...I immediately put this on my watch list. However, I only realized after watching The Anime Man’s latest (as of writing this post) “What Will I Be Watching?” video that Madhouse will not be in charge of anime production this season. Although the animation is going to look different, I’m excited to watch the hilarious continuation of Saitama’s story.
- Bungou Stray Dogs 3
I honestly did not expect this show to get a third season so soon...but I was incredibly happy to hear that it was. I was also happy to hear that GRANRODEO and Luck Life are returning to do the opening and ending songs! I may have to rewatch a few episodes of the first two seasons to refresh my memory. I did read the manga from where the last season left off...but I don’t remember what I read AT ALL so I guess I’ll be going into this season blind. That doesn’t mean that I’m not hyped as heck for this new season. ^_^
- Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2
Ooookay. I gotta be honest, I haven’t watched the first part of season 3 at all so I need to watch that before going into this. Judging from this amazing poster and what I’ve heard online and from my AoT fanatic friends, this next season is going to be crazier than the last. I loved the first two seasons so I really want to catch up with the series, especially since Isayama-sensei is going to end the series soon. Until then...I’ve got some catching up to do.
- Kono Oto Tomare!
I’ve been keeping an eye on this series since I first read the synopsis when it didn’t have a set air date. When it was announced to air this season, I put it on my watch list without even watching the trailer or knowing who was part of the voice cast. But OMG once I saw Yuuma Uchida as part of the main cast AND singing the ending song, I completely freaked out! Even the queen Shouta Aoi is blessing us with his voice for the opening song! Needless to say, I’m really excited for this show.
- Carole and Tuesday
I’ve kept a watch over this show as well after I first read the synopsis. I was even more interested after I saw that this show is an original anime by the studio Bones and that it saw that was labeled as a music, romance anime. Someone please correct me if I am wrong but I think this is the first time Bones is animating an original romance anime with two leading female characters. Either way, I’m excited to see the direction that Bones will take to tell the story of these two beautiful girls.
Movies:
- Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love Kingdom
Ah yes. Utapri. It finally took them 4 seasons to make a movie for this series. 4. FREAKING. SEASONS. There’s no clear synopsis of the movie yet, but I’m guessing from the trailer that it’ll pick up right where the last season left off. As a forever Utapri fan, I’m so excited to see the continuation of one of my favorite reverse harem shows.
- Kimi to, Nami ni Noretara
I watched the trailer for this movie the other day and it looks like a really sweet romance movie with a fantasy-like twist. Fans of Devilman Crybaby would probably recognize the animation. Watch the trailer and you’ll know what I’m talking about. I really hope there will be a showing for this film here in California (maybe at Anime Expo) because if there is, I’d definitely want to see it.
Whew. My watch list is pretty short this season, but my comments were a bit lengthier than my normal anime list posts. I guess I wanted to make up for my lack of posting last season. Plus, I feel that the older I become the more picky I get when choosing which anime to watch. I’m really excited for all of the anime I listed here and hopeful that I’ll be able to get out of my anime slump. I have less than two months before I’m done with grad school this semester so I’ll definitely have more time to watch these shows afterwards and, hopefully, catch up on previous shows I’ve mentioned in past posts. Again, I’m an otaku for life so I’m never going to fall out of my love for anime. Anyway, let me know what you guys think of the shows that are airing this season. What are you watching? Please let me know! Thanks for reading!

25/12/19 thank you + updates
Thank you all for an amazing year of art! This is the first time I get so much engagement because of my work and I’m super grateful. I will continue to do my best in 2020 and get better at so many things I’m still nervous about.
This January my shop will have a new wave of products (including new goodies >U>) I have upgraded my shipping methods so it is much smoother/faster. I know there are some of you waiting for items still and I apologize for the wait ;( I have had to prioritize family this whole month, but come the New Year I will send out what’s left. I hope you will continue to support me.
That being said my discord server will be open until Jan 3nd if you would like to chat about art or ask me anything! I am also planning two livestreams this weekend which I’ll announce on here and twitter. Hope to see some of you there!
Patreon
I don’t know who has come to my patreon lately but if you are interested in the goods please let me know since at this moment I am not paying any attention to it. If i can get my own comic going this year I will probably use it then, but for now there will be no content uploaded (except NSFW)
Artist Alley
I have applied to be part of one artist alley in June but no acceptance letters have been sent. They should come within the next few weeks however. I really hope I can get in. I have also had this idea to apply for Anime Expo 2020 but no applications have opened as far as I know. If anyone would like to share a table with me please let me know! I have never been a vendor and I could really appreciate someone being with me the whole way.
more on me
I am graduating from university this year. The hope is that I can make enough$ to move out, but depending on how well my art goes this could go differently. I will likely look for a job as I try to get by, I want to keep doing my art no matter what, so the more you share, the more it helps me. I have had longer periods where I don’t do art for months/years because of life. I will try to stay connected. I usually do more life updates on dA and twitter.

aya’s d23 expo predictions
ok so i’m gonna be honest i am not /nearly/ as prepared as i was last expo. i haven’t spent as much time on the forums recently and i haven’t kept track of what ideas have been dropped and such. also most of this is epcot focused but honestly i think that’s what most of the announcements for wdw are gonna be. i’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions on whether or not this year is gonna be very big or not so i’m looking forward to it.
mk:
the only thing i can think of at the moment is a potential replacement for stitch, but i haven’t heard much on that lately so i think they might wait a little longer. i don’t think the rumored wreck it ralph overlay is being considered anymore so i doubt we’re gonna get anything yet. but i guess we’ll find out
i’m hoping for some 50th anniversary announcements too, i don’t know how much they want to share two years ahead of the celebration itself but if they’re hoping to get in a new night parade i hope they’ll announce it sooner than later.
epcot:
it’s finally epcot’s year! they’ve already announced some of the small things like the new logos and the journey of water so i think that could mean that they’re gonna be doing some big announcements during the panel.
first, the brazil pavilion. this has been going around for years and i’m pretty sure that this is going to be the biggest announcement. considering the two ‘revealing sunday’ spaces on the new posters this seems pretty likely.
second, a coco overlay to gran fiesta tour. i was kind of split on whether or not this was gonna happen but it seems pretty likely from the epcot display at the expo. the model has a guitar next to the pavilion and the new mexico poster has miguel on it. i mean that’s pretty solid evidence
now onto stuff i’m not so sure about. i’m pretty sure the imagination pavilion is going to be talked about in one way or another. whether it’s a refurbishment or just pandering to the epcot center purists by adding details and references, i don’t know. i know that figment is going to get a refurb at some point, but i think this is still further down the line, probably not until next expo. but they have the imagination pavilion on display with the models, so i think /something/ is going to happen. there’s a giant rainbow over the model, so i’m thinking they’re gonna throw in a rainbow corridor somewhere and call it a day. i mean i’d be REALLY happy with that, even if they’re pandering they know how to do it. i just hope that whatever future rerfurbishment they’re planning will include figment, but from what i’ve heard it will.
this one i haven’t heard about in a long time, but maybe there’s still a shot for it: the mary poppins spinner ride in the uk pavilion. i wouldn’t be surprised if this one’s been dropped.
as for more minor announcements, i think they’ve mostly covered it in old parks blog posts (like the new fountain, etc.) and in the epcot display in the expo. i do hope we’ll get more information on the stuff that was announced last expo, like ratatouille and guardians.
dhs:
i think dhs has been through a lot already, anything they announce is probably gonna be pretty minor. as for specifics i have....no idea. please dont touch the citizens disney
ak:
i’ve heard everyone talking about a new ride announcement for animal kingdom, but i haven’t been paying enough attention to know what it’s gonna be. but it seems pretty certain that there’s gonna be some announcement at the panel.
also, primeval whirl is practically confirmed to be closed by now, so they could pull a stitch and leave it for a couple years, or they could announce something now. this could also be whatever the new ride announcement is too.
i don’t keep up with dl rumors much so that’s everything i’ve got for now, but i’m hoping to be surprised this year! i think it’s gonna be a good one!

Top 5 E3 Announcements
The Electronic Entertainment Expo, more commonly known as E3, is a yearly event that showcases what is up and coming in the video gaming industry. Gamers across the world get hyped and this year packed a huge punch.
To be honest, I never pay close attention to E3 because most showcases tend to look very samey (i.e. watch the Bethesda showcase). I'm not all that interested in the "dark and gritty" genre of games and so I usually hang back and let twitter fill me in on the hype. I didn't expect much.
Sure I expected to get excited by some things, but I was caught off guard by the several moments that blew me away, surprised me, and even made me tear up a bit! Here is my top 5 list, 1 ranking as least exciting (even though least exciting is still really freaking exciting) to 5 ranking as the most exciting (the G.O.A.T. of E3).
Number 1: Ni No Kuni Coming to Switch, Remaster Coming to PC & PS4
Originally released on the Playstation 3, Ni No Kuni is a game that stands out due to it being animated by the renowned Studio Ghibli. Since I never owned a PS3, I never played the game. After the sequel came out, I had high hopes that the original would port to the PS4 but no such announcement ever came. I was starting to give up. In fact, only days ago I went so far as to look into emulating the game on my PC as I've been dying to play it.
This news has come at a perfect time! The game is releasing on the Switch, PC, and PS4. But there is a catch. The game has been remastered for all systems but the Switch which will be receiving the original port of the game. Now I will have to decide if I want the game on the Switch or PS4. I enjoy playing games more on the Switch but also want the remastered version. Decisions decisions.
Number 2: Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair
I still have yet to finish the original Yooka-Laylee game (read about my experience with the game thus far in the first issue of Level Story) but now it seems I have reason to be excited to play it some more. The announcement of the sequel to the highly successful modern platformer came as quite a surprise to me. While a sequel has certainly been on my radar, I didn't quite expect one so soon.
What really excites me about this sequel is how it appears to capture the spirit of the first game while also moving in a completely new platforming direction in the side scroller. Several commenters wrote that the game looked similar to DKC Tropical Freeze and that is a pretty nice complement. Waking up to this news was just a treat.
Number 3: Banjo-Kazooie in SMASH
Okay, confession time. I don't like the SMASH games. I've never gotten into them and haven't had the desire to change that. Seeing all the hype for the recent Switch release got me excited in a very removed sense. Watching other people get excited about the game (and about Joker from Persona 5 being in the game) made me excited even though I knew there was very little that would persuade me to shell out my money for this title.
Throughout this time, rumors were strewn about twitter saying that Banjo and Kazooie might be announced as the next characters in SMASH. Banjo-Kazooie is a game I grew up playing all the time and I have a strong connection to it. While I had no connection to SMASH, I had a strange desire to see the bear and bird get their dues since they haven't really had much luck since being bought by Microsoft.
Their announcement brought tears to my eyes. Perhaps nostalgia had taken over, or maybe it was the fans joyful reactions that made me emotional, but I finally have a reason to pick up this game. Whether that will actually happen or not is still to be decided. But after watching that trailer, how can you not be hyped for this?!
Number 4: Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VII is one of those celebrated games that I hear about all the time yet somehow I am so separated from it that I only know that it is considered a good game and literally nothing else. I didn't have Playstation growing up and never had an interest in Final Fantasy games so just never played it.
But since my love for the Kingdom Hearts series has pushed me to enter the realm of Final Fantasy and since I am just generally interested in stories told in games and FFVII is said to have an amazing story, I have decided to put a bit more stock in FFVII. I have just started to play the ported game on my Switch and have watched closely for updates about the remake.
And turns out, this new interest has paid off because wow does this game look really good. Square Enix really stole the show when they premiered the full length trailer at E3. Everything looks so polished and beautiful. While I imagine there will be changes from the original, I still think this game looks amazing and I look forward to real time action gameplay vs. the original turn based combat.
Number 5: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel
Okay...let me set this up for you. I did not grow up playing Zelda. My cousin gave me a hand-me-down copy of Ocarina of Time and I just didn't play it all too often (yes, I regret my adolescent decisions). Breath of the Wild is technically my first Zelda game and it is hard to put into words how much I love it. I've put in over 150 hours of play time and when I finally beat the final boss this past Sunday, I was happy but also sad that the game had come to an end.
My biggest wish was to explore Hyrule some more post beating Ganon (when you beat the game, a star appears on your file and you are placed at the point right before beating Ganon). Then, a few days later, this sequel was announced. This is the GOAT for me. I am on the Breath of the Wild hype train. There is no release date for the game yet which kind of gets me down but I am too excited for this game to care! This was easily the best announcement at E3.
And I can't finish this article without an honorable mention….
Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC
Kingdom Hearts is my all time favorite franchise. Despite its existence in the absurd and the blatant examples of bad storytelling, I always find myself coming back to these games and having a blast with them. It is a series I will stick with through and through.
DLC for Kingdom Hearts 3 has been on the horizon ever since the game was released back in January of this year. Fans of the franchise know the "vanilla" KH games are only the starting point. Almost every title has come out with a re-release known as "final mix" where new content is added including cut scenes, gameplay scenarios, additional mechanics, and more. Back in the early 2000's, final mix was a pretty unique concept. Today, final mix is just DLC. Yes, I know, KH was ahead of its time.
The new trailer showcasing what is to come in the new paid DLC has got me very excited. It looks like we will get to play as new characters, have new keyblades, and there will be a ton of convoluted plot dump that only KH can bring.
While this would have been a highlight for me, I thought Square Enix gave zero hype to this. The trailer was originally shown at the KH Orchestra concert in LA and director Tetsuya Nomura told the audience not to film it or there would be dire consequences. Someone filmed it and now the conspiracy is that this person made Nomura angry. While I don't think this person should have filmed the trailer, I also think it is kind of sick that Nomura can put out a threat like that and KH fans tweet out, "you upset Nomura. Thanks a lot."
Speculation went about saying that Square might have been planning a longer trailer at E3. Whether this was correct and Nomura pulled it due to his "dire consequences", or the E3 and Orchestra trailer were the same all along, we will never know. Either way, the trailer was exciting to see the first time but didn't do much to get me really excited like the 5 announcements I talked about in this piece.
What Did You Think?
So what did you think about E3? What were some of the highlights and your favorite announcements? Let me know in the comments!

2 new characters will be announced soon for the KLK game. I'm hoping for Nonon and fight club mako.
So it seems!
I’m expecting two members of the Elite Four. At Anime Expo, the panelists kept placing a lot of significance on the game’s poster, which only features Satsuki and her Elite Four. And Senketsu’s eyes. Yes, I am still hoping for lots more Senketsu and Satsuki moments.
Since the game is Satsuki’s game, I think it’d only make sense for the next two playable characters to be two characters close to her. I’d say the new characters are probably gonna be Gamagoori and Uzu, though I wouldn’t be surprised by Gamagoori and Nonon, either.
#Anonymous#replies#the guys better have ridiculous fanservice victory poses too :P#anyway i'm excited!#i'm also wondering if they've changed anything about ryuko and satsuki's gameplay#or completed anything that wasn't done before#since those two are still gonna be playable#kill la kill#kill la kill the game

State of the Wall: 4-6-18
Sorry about the lateness of this one! It’s been a rough last two weeks, filled with personal stuff and massive projects like Event Comics Month. But for now, enjoy the update on what’s going on with the site, upcoming episodes, and other stuff!
List of Upcoming Episodes 4/2 – Power Rangers Turbo vs. Beetleborgs Metallix #1 4/9 – PATREON: Diesel #1 4/16 – PATREON: Teen Titans: “Betrayal” and “Aftershock, Parts 1 and 2” 4/23 – PATREON: The Punisher: Purgatory 4/30 – Comic Book Quickies #8 5/7 – 500th Episode 5/14 – MILLER TIME: Dark Knight III: Master Race #1-2 5/21 – Just Imagine Stan Lee Creating Green Lantern 5/28 – New Guardians #3
As usual, I reserve the right to alter the schedule for any number of reasons, but like before, chances are good that this is all pretty locked-in.
The Road to 500 Well, here we go! The 500th episode is going to be on May 7th. It’s been a hell of a ride and I’m still finalizing plans for stuff to do during the livestream. At the very least there will be games – definitely the finale to Pokémon Omicron (the streams, anyway, we’re reeeaaally far behind on episodes). I’ve considered doing some Jackbox games, I’m writing up some new “Insights” and maybe get some testimonials from people for the whole thing and I’ll pick some good episodes of that and Longbox of the Damned to show off during it. I’m curious to hear if people would prefer it be streamed on youtube or twitch… or, if I can pull it off, both.
Channel Awesome Departure So in case you hadn’t heard, I recently left Channel Awesome. The full statement is available HERE. Not much else to say beyond that other than thanks for your continued support and as a reminder, please do not question or harass anyone who remains on the site – they have their own reasons for doing so and that should be respected.
If you missed it, the Google Doc listing out the specific grievances many former produces have with Channel Awesome’s management can be read HERE.
Video Restoration Progress So in the wake of the loss of the other video hosts, a lot of older videos got lost along the way – not just major stuff like History of Power Rangers, but older trailers, vlogs, miscellaneous videos, etc. I’m happy to report that I’ve begun going through a bunch of older videos and doing minor edits to make them appropriate for youtube and reuploading. It’s not a huge amount so far, but all previous trailers that I’ve made – the old 2009 and 2010 trailers, the Longbox/October trailers of past years, and all past April Fools’ Day videos have been reuploaded, which would include Mobile Suit Gundabridged and the History of Power Rangers episode on the reversioned season of Mighty Morphin’. Next up will likely be a bunch of old movie vlogs. The Southland Tales crossover will also be reuploaded at some point – it just requires more extensive re-editing.
Countdown Re-Edit? On the subject of re-editing, while working on the Final Crisis review I discovered that I actually still have the raw footage for some of the original Countdown videos. I’m curious to know if people would be interested in a bit of a re-edit, at the very least for Part 1 where the video quality of the comic scans isn’t great due to my inexperience with Adobe Premiere at the time. I’d likely also punch things up a bit by removing breaths and tightening the cuts from voiceover to live action.
History of Power Rangers Obviously I’ve fallen behind on the re-edits. Sorry about that, but a loooot of other things have taken priority, namely Event Comics Month. I should also clarify a few points since I get these questions a lot: -Yes, there will be a Ninja Steel History of Power Rangers. The show has not stopped, so neither will History of Power Rangers. The series is not done yet and it’s not out on DVD. I have not watched a single bit of it. No spoilers, please. -No, I will not be doing a History of Power Rangers on the Boom Studios comics. History of Power Rangers is for the TV series only. -Yes, I have seen the Shattered Grid trailer. It’s awesome. You should go check it out, yourselves if you haven’t. -No, there will not be a History of Power Rangers on the livestream tabletop RPG show Power Rangers: Hyperforce. As I said, it’s for TV shows only. While people have said it’s in-continuity, I have not seen any articles or press releases that have stated that. And even then, it is still ongoing and I’m not even sure how I could cover something like that when most of the footage is people sitting in chairs.
It’s entirely possible I’ll change my mind about covering Hyperforce or the like, but for now that’s my policy. Sadly I haven’t watched any of Hyperforce. I only have so much time to consume content and there’s a lot else I’m interested in. I’ll probably get into it eventually, though.
Longbox of the Damned Right now, I AM planning on having a Midsummer’s Nightmare this year for Longbox of the Damned. The current plan, due to everything else going on, is for it to be 4 weekly videos in either June or July and covering a few comics under a specific theme with a different host. That theme will be announced closer to the date (assuming I manage to go through with it). I’m doing such a smaller amount for it this year because of the heavy workload of the storyline, the 10th anniversary, conventions, and basically just everything else going on this year. More details hopefully to come once we’re closer!
Conventions Animinneapolis – I will once again be attending Animinneapolis on May 25-27 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis in Minneapolis, MN! This has become a regular thing for me since it’s local and I hope to see people there! Anime Midwest – I shall once again be going to Anime Midwest on July 6-8 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, IL! This one’s also a regular one for me, but it’s definitely a lot of fun and the area is full of great places to see and eat at and the hotel itself is pretty dang cool! Too Many Games – I’ll be coming back to Too Many Games this year on June 22-24 at the Greater Philadelpha Expo Center in Oaks, PA! I sat out last year but I’ll be back again this time with plenty of copies of the AT4W Movie and the Compilation DVD, so definitely come out and take a look! Power Morphicon – As indicated in the Power Rangers Turbo vs. Beetleborgs Metallix review, I will be returning to Power Morphicon this summer! I was last there in 2010 when I had nothing to really show for it other than some minor name value for having done History of Power Rangers, but this time around I should have a live show and get to hang out with some other Power Rangers-related youtubers. Power Morphicon is on August 17-19 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA! And as a reminder for that one, if you can’t attend to get the exclusive Lord Drakkon figure, you can purchase a non-attending badge and have it shipped to you!
That’s all we’ve got this time around! Thank you all for your patience and continued support!
