i edited this post slightly because ive realized how tokenizing it could have came off when the original intent was nothing but excitement for her as a cc along with my original point here. im genuinely sorry for any people who felt weird or dehumanized because this post as thats very understandable - especially asian women of colour

i dont think you guys are hyping up the first woman of colour on the dream smp as much as we should be like do you guys understand how genuinely monumental tinakittens presence on the dsmp will be. i understand a large portion of the mcyt fandom is white but the community is not allowed to act like she isnt some really fucking important representation for a group of people that have been oppressed both in the real world and the gaming community for so long. im being serious about this representation in media is an extremely powerful way to combat racism. along with that tina is also just a really awesome content creator and should be celebrated for her own merit and talent ALONG with who she represents! support tinakitten and watch her stream here
