In the Philippines, you have very limited choices if you want a good quality education. Young ones (primary school to high school) would fare better if they choose: (1) a science school, (2) a private Catholic-run school, or (3) an international school.
Options 1 and 3 are mostly available to those who can afford it and can maintain high grades. Option 2 is the middle-class choice and no, you prolly won't find a private school that is not affliated with a religious entity in the Philippines.
If you are a uni student (like King), your choices are even more limited if you want to have a good career after college. Basically, employers would automatically hire graduates from any of the big four unis: University of the Philippines (state uni), Ateneo de Manila University (run by Jesuit priests), De La Salle University (run by Christian Brothers), and University of Santo Tomas (run by Dominican priests).
So, you can imagine the dress code in most schools 😅 I think only the state uni is safe from dress codes but only because they are supposed to accomodate those who cannot afford to buy fashionable clothes. But even then, you'll get plenty of side eye 😅😅😅

Still getting the hang of using an iPad (I was gifted one in my art absence on here, so no more phone drawing for me unless I'm posting old stuff).

the way teenagers’ minds are just this direct channel to romance. hilarious and also something I understand on a PROFOUND level.

my coworker is so nice omg.....i've always admired her style too :'))
#she's so bubbly and outgoing with the kids i admire that a lot.....they really love being in her presence#thinking back to when i first started i tried so hard to emulate the other teachers#but it didn't feel genuine#it really is true that everyone has their own way od teaching#im very much like. no nonsense hgkshfjd but i do joke around as well. i def don't have the energy of some of the other teachers#i'll talk to the second graders the same way i talk to the eighth graders.....i can't change my tone like that#for september i stopped teaching online and my boss told me all the parents were asking for me back hgkshfjsh#so im glad im doing something right#but we do have fun and some of my kids are so cute telling me about their day :') and one of my students always tells me#how much she likes my scarf even though it's the same one i wear every week....she's adorable#tbh i am very comfortable being strict with the kids now when the time calls for it. i couldn't do it before

Six months ago, I scheduled my dentist appointment for today, Halloween. 10/10, would schedule for Halloween again, had my teeth cleaned while This Is Halloween from The Nightmare Before Christmas played in the background and no one questioned anything

My focus is shit in my astronomy lab section when we're going through the PowerPoint because my ta is after a second glance clearly into vamp play and I'm totally not distracted by how his canines are like. Actually rather sharp. 👀😳

Miyavi is on this show just handing out guitars like its candy its like hes pulling them from some sort of ether only accessible to him. there was a guy who was like I’ve always wanted to learn guitar and miyavi came back in 5 min with a guitar for him 😭

Me whenever my classmates interact with me and I'm reminded that I do in fact exist in and have an impact on other people's lives.
