Almost 9 years later and it is almost over. I am so proud of what I have contributed to AV. I tried to move the company forward in every way I could. I brought in authentic customers whether it was for the work they did, or the commercial results that helped us grow. I never "phoned it in" I didn't need to, I loved the work.

NYC, again, provided me with cultural inspiration and another chapter in my life. Every trip to the 'Big Apple' was exciting whether to come to that great NY office that had such a spirit, or attend arts conferences, where I felt I fit in with the conversations and stories. I had not felt that alive since the "illustrious days" of peddling records and selling tickets in the East Village. The imprint build in NYC on the heels of such great brands as Ovationtix and TheaterMania stand up to any other ticketing platform and make me especially proud.

Angelina and I went to many of these customers together. We never forgot the luck I had to work at a company built out of 3 great brands, AudienceView and Ovationtix/TM, for me these were the "pick of the bunch"

I was so proud every time one of these folks became a customer or renewed. I really care about all of these organizations, because of the work our team did to win these opportunities or because of the cultural value of the organization, or simply because they were good and honest people doing it all to make sure the show went on. I hope AudienceView will look after them, as nearly all of them are still customers—a feat in itself.

One of the greatest days was the afternoon we blew off the NAMT conference. We had all been working over a weekend and on Sunday we decided to go to the Museum of Civil Rights in Memphis. A free tour laid on by NAMT. Myself the Irish Jew, a Boston Catholic, a Cuban, a Jamaican, and a couple of gay men. I never felt closer to such a disparate bunch as that day. The museum had such a profound effect on all of us and it reminded me of why we do the work we do.

There were many more days, like the guy, who showed up with no shirt for his demo, which were memorable, but not necessarily one I am so proud of. There were many other days helping small but mighty theaters or performing arts centers keep the arts alive in their communities. I am so grateful to have met so many creative, eccentric and interesting people, all working in the arts, sports, or other entertainment where folks still interact and have human experiences. It always feels like noble work.

And we made in through COVID together......

But as with everything in life, change is constant. Having made many mistakes by not changing at they right time, I learned the hard way, that even the things you love often need to change as well.

This has been the happiest chapter of my life so far. I am so grateful to have made so many great friends at work and to have been able to provide security, especially during the past 3.5 years, for Angelina and Nina when they needed me more than ever.

I will miss the people who constantly made me look better than I actually am. The photos say it all, just great people who I always felt so comfortable around. I will remember the travel, the conferences and the evenings spent with people I consider friends. It was just so easy to get along with everyone, I laughed so hard on so many nights.

But after another year, a move now, is the right one for me and my family.
