Happy "Fan Art Friday"!

Now that I am done with my Akatsuki series, it's back to full-colour fan art again. :3

I've been wanting to draw Sarutobi Asuma & Yuuhi Kurenai for a while now, so here they are. I wanted to create a loving moment between them, and also make it a bit sexy (and I just didn't feel like drawing their outfits, ha ha! It also gave me a reason to practice more with anatomy/muscles). The Japanese next to them is their names. I added the poppies since they were the flowers that were growing at Kurenai's apartment, given to her by Asuma. This is one of those fan arts where I feel mixed emotions, too. ;_;

Drawn with Sakura Pigma Micron pens & coloured in with Copic Markers (except for the poppies, which were coloured with Ohuhu Markers).

So here we are, after the last translation I did last February, I'm back (??) again HAHAHA.

So I actually started translating this a few months ago and was planning to release this during Higedan's 9th anniversary. But obviously that didn't happen because of lots of things - got busy with the anniv project we did (please do give it a watch - we poured our heart and soul onto this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0YFRmPGa_M) so this took a back seat.

Now, you might be wondering - why did I plan to release this during Higedan's anniversary? Well, this song has Higedan's feelings when they left their hometown a few years back to go to Tokyo and become full time artists. These feelings are shown in the lyrics of the song, as well as through the nostalgic vibe the song brings. You can see through this song how much they loved their hometown and how it pained them to leave but they needed to so that they could do what they love to do. So, if they didn't leave their hometown, who knows if we would have known them and loved them now. Well, maybe we still would have found them one way or another, but I think them leaving their comfort zone was a big factor as to how we now know the Higedan we love.

So anyway, like what I always say - this translation might contain errors/mistakes/inconsistencies/inaccuracies - if you do see them, please do point them out to me so I can make the necessary corrections. Feedback will be greatly appreciated as I'm just doing this as part of me studying Japanese, so I'm really bound to have some mistakes. I do also hope that this translation will help in appreciating the song more.

As someone who has been listening to Digimon music since the year 2000 - with very limited access to original songs back then! -, it’s pretty difficult to pick favourites. With those listed above, it was still somewhat easy, but I generally love the vibe Digimon songs provide. May Wada Kouji rest in peace, who, alongside Maeda Ai and several other artists, has provided one of the most iconic anime soundtracks, in my opinion.

In addition to the songs above, I had mainly listened to the Tamers and Frontier soundtracks (since those were more easily accessible back in the day) and so I’m also very fond of maaaany of the character songs - I can’t even tell you how often I listened too “Moon Fighter”, “Yuuhi no Yakusoku” (Makino Ruki), “Flaming Ice” (Renamon), “Mirai” (Lee Jenrya), “Boku no Tomodachi” (Lee Jenrya + Terriermon), “Salamander” (Kanbara Takuya) or “In the Blue” (MInamoto Kouji).

Also, let’s not forget the German soundtrack, which is absolutely amazing and features not only pretty faithful versions of the Japanese songs, but also a bunch of lovely original songs!

Recently, I’ve been listening non-stop to several versions of “Butterfly” - especially the Tri All Cast version and I’m not surprised that I can recite the lyrics by heart by now. Only shows you how wonderfully crafted these songs are and I’m sure they’ll continue having an impact on me.

[Masterpost] VAZZROCK bi-Color Series 2nd Season Vol. 11 - Peridot x Hematite

I’m back with more TsukiPro~! This time, we have the continuation of the VAZZROCK bi-Color Series 2nd Season CDs~!  Peridot x Hematite is with Yuma and Gaku!! Gaku and Yuma were a combi that I honestly didn’t know would work well, but seeing as how Gaku was being so brotherly with Yuma and how Yuma could easily open up and tell Gaku about his problems, I am now eternally grateful that we got blessed with this CD!!
