Part 6 of A Treatise of Embroidery, crochet, and knitting with illustrations
By George C. Perkins, Anna Grayson Ford, and M. Heminway & Sons Silk co circa 1899.
Please note, this book was written in 1899, and as such uses a racist term to refer to the dyes that were used for the thread. If you'd like to read more about this period in time, the term, and the stereotypes that the Victorians had, I've actually linked the wikipedia article here that goes more in depth. It's not the end all be all of it, but it's a good starting place for anyone wanting to educate themselves on the topic.
Since the alt text was too long to fit in the actual pop up, I'm writing it down here!
Page 29. Lessons In Embroidery.
This page has the pattern for the strawberry and blossoms embroidery on it. It resembles a paint by numbers/letters image with a table showing the corresponding colours. I will try my best to explain the image, but first the colour charts.
Berries-Ripe.
Red: 655 shade number 1, 655 shade number 2, 656 shade number 3, 657 shade number 4, 658 shade number 5, 659 shade number 6, 660 shade number 7, 661 shade number 8.
Blossoms: 691 shade number 9.
Centre: 647 shade number 10, 409 1/2 shade number 11, 410 shade number 12.
Unripe Berries: 682 shade number 13, 683 shade number 14, 684 shade number 15.
Leaves and Stems.
Green: 0428 shade letter A, 428 shade letter B, 429 Shade letter C, 429 1/2 shade letter D, 430 shade letter E, 431 Shade letter F, 372 shade letter K, 373 shade letter M.
Brown: 300 shade letter O, 301 Shade letter R.
Strawberry Design. Materials. — M. Heminway & Sons' Oriental Dyes, Japan and Spanish Floss.
Berries. — Ripe and unripe; Red — "Sharpless variety" — 0655, 655, 656, 657, 658, 659, 660, 661. Unripe — 0655, 655, 656, 682, 683, 684. Blossoms.— 691, 682, 683, 0655. Centres. — 647, 409 1/2, 410. Leaves. — 0428, 428, 429, 429 1/2, 430, 431 ; or 370, 371, 372, 373, 374, 300, 301. Scallop. — 581 or 691. —Spanish Floss.
Design No. 153 — Strawberry. 18 inch. See Colored Plate C1.
Description.— Fill in berry crosswise, shortstitch on the wrong side, not much filling. For filling to raise the berry use M. Heminway & Sons' white Persian Floss. Start at the point of berry with two strands of red, 655, shading with one strand as dark red as 661. For an unripe berry start with light green, 682 and 683, shading into the green the light pink, 655, making the berry as ripe in color as 660. The seeds on the red berries put on with small stitches, gold, 409 1/2. On those that are not ripe use green, 428.
Blossoms. — White, 691, shadow of green, 682 on lower petals, touching a few of the new blossoms with light pink, 0655; pollen of 647, 409 1/2, 410.
Leaves. — On the outer edge of the leaf use two strands, shading toward centre with one, use a little brown, 300 and 301, for faded part of leaf.
Scallop. — Button-hole stitch in pink, 581, Spanish Floss, or 691, with an outline above scallop of one strand filo, 310.
Now I will describe the first illustration which shows the embroidery by letters/numbers diagram. I will be describing the image from the bottom to top as the spray of strawberries and blossoms flow in a diagonal from the bottom left to the upper right.
We start with two parallel, diagonal stems that branch off in multiple directions to hold the entirety of the design. The two stems are done in shade letters D and E. The rightmost stem slips under two leaves, forking into a third tendril, before the left fork curves gracefully to the right and ending in a strawberry. The right fork goes downwards and forms the triple fork from where the three large strawberry leaves all come from in this piece. An upper one, a bottom one, and one off to the right that is slightly twisted so the underside of the leaf tip is visible.
Shade letters for the bottommost leaf, from base to tip, left to right. Starting at the top where the base joins the stem: 1st row: E, O, R. 2nd row: E. 3rd row: F, C. 4th row: D, E, E, D. 5th row: B, D, C. leaf tip: C.
For the twisted leaf at the right of the previous: 1st Row: C, D, C. 2nd Row: D, E, C. 3rd Row: C, D. 4th Row: E, D, B. 5th Row: F. Leaf tip: A.
For the Upper Leaf: 1st Row: D, E. 2nd Row: C. 3rd Row: B, D, E, D. 4th Row: D, C, D, C, D. 5th Row: A, B. 6th row: A, R. Leaf tip: A.
Back at the beginning, where the stems are parallel, the leftmost stem forks before the two separate bits slip under the upper large leaf that we described earlier. The right fork curves up and to the left into a strawberry while the left fork curves up behind it. It would seem a second strawberry also emerges from a stem coming from behind the same leaf, although it does not show a fork. This berry sits just under the other.
Higher Strawberry: 1st Row: 4, 6. 2nd Row: 3, 2, 5, 3, 3. 3rd Row: 2, 15, 4, 8, 3. 4th Row: 14, 2. Strawberry Tip: 13.
Lower Strawberry: 1st Row: 8. 2nd Row: 5, 6, 7, 5. 3rd Row: 4, 4, 5, 4. 4th Row: 2, 2, 2, 2. 5th row: 1, 1, 1.
Only two of the little strawberry leaf tops have any kind of letter indication, all of them combinations of C, D, and B, so your guess is as good as mine.
Emerging from the top strawberry is another series of three stems, two of which appear to have forked somewhere behind the berry unseen. The left stem goes up and then promptly forks before slipping under a fully bloomed strawberry blossom, and then emerging from the top with a single leaf gracing the end. Somewhere behind the flower another tendril has forked off this one and goes up to end in a tiny blossom not yet bloomed. Next to that is the stem that will be described in a few paragraphs, and then another stem leading to a small blossom, that is also not fully bloomed.
Big Blossom: This has 5 petals in total, and all the petals are tipped in shade number 9, and all excepting the leftmost petal gradiate to shade number 13. The leftmost petal gradiates to shade number 14, and then the center is shade number 10.
Small Blossom: 9 at the tip, 13 at the base, there are 3 petals showing.
Tiny Blossom: same, 9 tip, 13 base, also 3 petals showing.
Back to under the blossom, the right stem from the original fork leads up to an elegant waving stem that branches off into several tendrils mostly decorated with a pair of leaves each.
The left tendril from that fork extends up a ways, waving a bit and is done in shade letter B, and then forks one last time culminating in a pair of tiny leaves on the right fork and a waving tendril on the left that finishes in shade letter A.
Leaf 1: Base E, Tip D. Leaf 2: Base C, Tip B.
The right tendril from the fork that leads into the last also immediately forks again ending in a pair of tiny leaves coming from each tendril.
From lowest leaf to highest, base to tip:
Leaf 1 right tendril: E. Leaf 2 right tendril: D, C. Leaf 3 Left Tendril: D, E. Leaf 4 Left tendril: C, B.
all the tiny leaves leaves save one are done in two colours, one for the base and one for the tip. So wherever you decide to put a tiny leaf, you can keep the colour schemes in mind.
There is an image at the bottom captioned Design No 153- Strawberry. 18 inch. See Coloured Plate C1.
This has what appears to be a doily with an embroidered scalloped edge and the large strawberry image placed at the top and bottom of the doily, flowing with the circular edge. There is a small smattering of petals coming off of an extra pair of fallen blossoms that were added to one edge, and a small detached strawberry on the other.
All in all, thank you for your patience while I try to get these out. If anyone has any suggestions to make these easier to understand, my inbox is always open. I will be posting another pair of images sometime this week!

429. Various Authors - Dragon #103 (November, 1985)
A bit of a bittersweet issue this one, although it has plenty of the usual cheerful stuff with a great article on Dragonlance's Gnomes and another really long one on Centaurs, it also focuses two articles on something that will never be and on something that was but kind of failed in its purpose.
The first of these is Gary Gygax's article on "The Future of the Game" where he sets out his ideas and plans for what he sees as the second edition of AD&D coming down the line. However, with the benefit of hindsight we now know that Gygax would end up leaving TSR before the second edition came out in 1989 and the ideas he had would be put aside.
In terms of the second article which feels a bit bittersweet is the long first part of an errata for the Unearthed Arcana book. A book intended to make people not be dependent of all those articles that came out in Dragon magazine, now feels the need to print a bunch of correction in that magazine because there were so many errors in the book, ultimately defeating the purpose of Unearthed Arcana by making players and DMs again dependent on stuff published in the middle of Dragon magazine. Oh well.

Discussion on the rationality of BitPower mechanism
Introduction With the development of blockchain technology, decentralized finance (DeFi) as a new financial model has gradually attracted widespread attention. As a member of the DeFi field, BitPower has demonstrated the potential of decentralized finance through its unique smart contract mechanism, income structure and security measures. This article will explore the rationality of BitPower mechanism and analyze its advantages in security, profitability and sustainability.
Security of smart contracts The core of BitPower lies in its smart contracts, which are deployed on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and based on TRC20 and ERC20 standards. The code of these smart contracts is open source, ensuring the transparency and credibility of the system. Due to the immutability of smart contracts, they cannot be modified or deleted once deployed, which greatly improves the security and stability of the system. In addition, BitPower Loop adopts a completely decentralized operation mode, without centralized administrators or owners, which means that no one can unilaterally change the system rules, thus avoiding human intervention and operational risks.
Rationality of income structure BitPower's income structure is cleverly designed to encourage users to get returns by providing liquidity. Users can provide liquidity according to different time periods and obtain corresponding yields. For example, the annualized yields of 1 day, 7 days, 14 days and 28 days are 429%, 773%, 1065% and 1638% respectively. This structure not only encourages users to participate in short-term investment, but also provides considerable returns for long-term investment. At the same time, the introduction of the compound interest mechanism further enhances the observability of the returns, so that the user's investment returns can grow significantly over time.
Sustainability of the promotion mechanism BitPower's promotion mechanism aims to expand the user base by inviting new users to join, thereby enhancing the liquidity and stability of the system. Each user can become a project initiator, invite new users to join through an invitation link, and receive corresponding referral rewards. The referral reward varies according to the level of the referral, ranging from 20% of the first-generation friends to 1% of the 17th-generation friends. This hierarchical referral reward mechanism not only encourages users to actively promote, but also ensures the long-term sustainable development of the system.
Decentralized governance structure BitPower's decentralized governance structure is another important manifestation of the rationality of its mechanism. The system has no centralized manager, and all participants are equal in rules and mechanisms. This decentralized governance structure ensures the fairness and transparency of the system and avoids possible corruption and injustice in the centralized system. At the same time, decentralized governance also enhances the resilience of the system, enabling it to better cope with external attacks and internal problems.
Rationality of the economic model BitPower's economic model is reasonably designed and can effectively balance the benefits and risks of the system. Users' benefits mainly come from liquidity provision and recommendation rewards. This income structure avoids high-risk models such as Ponzi schemes while maintaining high returns. In addition, BitPower also automatically executes reward distribution through smart contracts, reducing the risks and errors of human operations and improving the efficiency and reliability of the system.
Summary Through the analysis of the BitPower mechanism, it can be seen that it has significant advantages in security, profitability and sustainability. The immutability of smart contracts and the decentralized governance structure ensure the security and fairness of the system; the reasonable income structure and promotion mechanism provide users with considerable returns while enhancing the liquidity and stability of the system; the design of the economic model effectively balances benefits and risks. In summary, BitPower's mechanism is highly reasonable and feasible in the current DeFi field, providing a powerful example for the development of decentralized finance.
Future Outlook With the continuous development of blockchain technology and DeFi ecology, BitPower is expected to play a greater role in the future. By continuously optimizing smart contracts and improving user experience, BitPower can attract more users to join and further expand its influence and market share. At the same time, with the introduction of more innovative mechanisms, BitPower is expected to make more breakthroughs in the field of decentralized finance and provide users with richer and more diverse financial services.
In short, as a decentralized financial platform, BitPower's reasonable mechanism design not only ensures the security and stability of the system, but also provides users with generous returns and continuous incentives. It is an important case worthy of attention and research in the DeFi field.

I had my piano lesson virtually today, and I told my teacher that I started practicing two hours a day and my plan was to do so, one hour per piece, on days that I had the ability to. She was ecstatic and told me how proud of me she was. Honestly, if I want to register to take the Level 9 exam in May and pass, I don't expect distinctions, then I have to up my game. I have no choice. Why do I do this to myself? It's the feeling of accomplishment afterwards. It feels exhilarating.
In other news, the Khan Academy videos today were long, but it did give me further insight to the French Revolution as it expanded upon my actual class which is only a broad survey of World History. Why am I taking World History on KA and a CLEP course supplementary to my actual class? Because I'm obsessed with World History. It's beyond fascinating!
Tasks Completed:
Geometry - Learned about angles on and inside circles + practice + practice with inscribed quadrilaterals + honors work
Lit and Comp II - Reviewed units 13-15 vocabulary + read two WWII articles + read about writing a biography + decided on my topic (Gwendolyn Brooks, not one of my original choices, but I love her work)
Spanish 2 - Reviewed vocabulary + reviewed time expressions with hacer + completed oral exercise with hacer time expressions + quiz (100%)
Bible I - Read Deuteronomy 4
World History - Read notes on Napoleon and the French Revolution + watched a presentation on the French Revolution
Biology with Lab - Read about complete and incomplete dominance + Punnett Square word problems practice
Foundations - Read more on loyalty + completed Lumosity daily brain workout + watched a video on word choice + watched a TED Talk on what to do and not to do when giving a speech + created a five-bullet outline for a speech telling a story about my life
Piano - 60-minute piano lesson + practiced for one hour
Khan Academy - Completed World History Unit 5: Lesson 2 (parts 1-3) + completed High School Geometry Unit 8: Lesson 10 + completed High School Biology Unit 5: Lesson 2
CLEP - None today
Duolingo - Completed at least one lesson each in Spanish, French, and Chinese
Reading - Read pages 140-181 of Promise Boys by Nick Brooks
Chores - Completed laundry
Activities of the Day:
Online ballet class + pointe
Journal/Mindfulness
-
What I’m Grateful for Today:
I am grateful for a slightly warmer day, although it is still quite cold and below freezing.
Quote of the Day:
She was learning to love moments. To love moments for themselves.

In the Court of the Nameless Queen by @natalieironside is so so good. It’s a collection of fantasy erotica short stories that take place in the same world. They all follow or feature Freydis Thorkilsdottir in her journey as a war witch of the Nameless Queen. My favorite was definitely “The Carnival of Carnal Delights” partly for the word play of the title but mainly for the way it weaved all the previous stories together in such a mysterious setting. I do wanna give a content warning for spiders, I definitely underestimated the amount of spiders/spider imagery that would be in these stories but that wasn’t enough to turn me off of the stories altogether.

Blacknatural Route 666
Dean gets an article sent to him from John about a string of deaths happening at a plantation museum in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. We see that there have been several texts from Dean asking about his whereabouts/asking for help that have gone unanswered. Dean shows this to Sam (who is more interested in talking about all the unanswered messages). Sam expresses apathy about these deaths, since they were all from various plantation weddings that happened on the grounds. Dean insists on going, Sam rolls her eyes at his blind obedience.
When they arrive, there has been another death. As they investigate the crime scene, they run into the journalist who wrote the original article, Cassie Robinson. They speak privately with her and it's revealed that she knows who they really are and what they really do because she and Dean used to date and he told her. A budding crime reporter, she insists it's a human, the Winchesters suspect a ghost. They pool their energy and resources to investigate. Sam and Cassie bond over being more interested in the killer than the victims while Dean pretends he's actually very invested and not just here because their dad told him to be there.
So they do the research, the superstitious ones at the museum think it's the ghosts of slaves who died there. TWIST! It's the plantation owner. So they dig up his grave and burn his bones, his ghost appears and bursts into flames, they think they did it. TWIST AGAIN! The murdery one was actually the plantation owner's wife, who inherited the house and her spirit is tied to it. There's a fight, Cassie sets a match to various rooms in the house while Sam and Dean distract Mistress Ghost. They hightail it out and stand a safe distance away outside the impala, bathed in the flickering light of the flames as they watch it and the ghost burn with grim satisfaction

Black Batman
I've been thinking about how dope a Black Bruce Wayne would be, so here's a story summary and fancast:
Thomas and Martha Wayne both come from old money Black families in the predominantly Black town of Gotham. The city was flooded with supervillains over time, mirroring the way real-life Black communities have been flooded with drugs to create a reason to crack down on those communities. Some of these supervillains were planted there by the government, some are Gothamites reacting to the stressors of life there. Inspired by the actions and policies of the Black Panthers, they start a number of community programs, like free breakfast for kids during the summer when they can't get a meal from school. When their actions start getting a little too radical, someone in Gotham has them assassinated.
Lamorne Morris as Bruce Wayne. When, shortly after his parents' murder, a paparazzi harrassed Bruce with comments like "Smile, Brucie! Why so serious?" he cultivates a carefree but dimwitted party boy persona in public to protect himself. He regularly exposes corrupt dealings, both political and corporate, by "endorsing" them and saying the quiet part so loudly that it ruins their aspirations and credibility, while making himself look too dumb to know that he wasn't supposed to say that. In private, Bruce is much more serious and reserved. He uses both Wayne Enterprises and his own resources as Batman to try and provide for the people of Gotham. He can see Gotham for what it is, both the glamorous facade and the gritty reality, but Gotham (and others) can never see who he truly is, under his Batman mask or his Bruce Wayne mask.
His rule of no killing, in addition to a reaction to his parents' murder, is also born out of his belief in community. No matter what they've done, all these people are still citizens of Gotham who have been failed by the institutions that are supposedly there to protect them. For better or for worse, Batman refuses to kill because Bruce wants to save them all.

I’ve definitely said it before, but the situation on Twitter right now really shows how people are more insistent on defending Tim Burton’s **little** involvement in The Nightmare Before Christmas, instead of properly appreciating/crediting Henry Selick’s work.
Burton producing the movie does not mean he directed it. He protected it from Disney’s interference and let the crew handle the movie as they wanted. And, yes, he originally created the characters & world - but that doesn’t mean the movie is his. In fact, the original Poem doesn’t even have Sally and Oogie Boogie. The character development + story is much more fleshed out in the film in comparison - and that’s not because of Burton. It’s because of Caroline Thompson, Danny Elfman, and Henry Selick.
“But he was busy working on his Batman film at the time!” Yes. Exactly. He entrusted Henry Selick and the rest of the crew to make Nightmare. So we should properly thank THEM, instead of making excuses for Tim. People will bend over backwards trying to find any reason to credit Burton, instead of appreciating what Henry Selick has done.
And this has been the problem for YEARS -- it may not be Tim Burton’s entire fault he got credited for The Nightmare Before Christmas as much as he did. Disney was the one who put his name in the title, purely for marketing reasons with his big name(last-minute as well, mind you). The huge misconception that he directed the movie was created by countless people falsely crediting Tim over the years.
Now the time has come with Henry’s recent release of Wendell & Wild, where the public is now realizing his hard work with Coraline, Nightmare, James & the Giant Peach, etc.....and people are still insisting on crediting Burton somewhere. Like they have been for nearly 30 years.
Henry Selick has every right to be upset that things have turned out like this. He’s gone out of his way to thank and acknowledge Tim’s contributions on the movie, but he’s been due the proper credit and fame for movies like Coraline and Nightmare. He’s finally getting the spotlight he’s always deserved, but the moment he mentions how unfair it was that Burton (albeit accidentally) got the credit for his work - people suddenly act like Tim is the victim. I’m so tired of this mentality.
Watch Wendell & Wild on Netflix. Listen to the We Know Jack Show podcast. Read this article. Give Henry Selick the love and credit he’s deserved for a long time.

I know Disney has a problem with oversaturating their characters in their art, but it's especially a shame when done with The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The main character has imperfect/yellow teeth, but Jack Skellington keeps getting drawn + modeled without them most of the time. Sally has lopsided lips and auburn hair, but they're fixed and usually a bright red instead.
Which is strange to compare to their movie models...Sally is especially butchered coloring-wise.

Part 9 of A Treatise of Embroidery, crochet, and knitting with illustrations
By George C. Perkins, Anna Grayson Ford, and M. Heminway & Sons Silk co circa 1899
Page 32. M. Heminway & Sons.
Forget-Me-Not Design.
There is an illustration here of a doily with forgetmenots embroidered onto it in different variations. It has a scalloped edging that has been used for the previous patterns as well.
Materials. — M. Heminway & Sons' Oriental Dyes, Japan and Spanish Floss.
Flowers. — Blue — 565, 564 1/2, 564 Japan Floss. Buds. — 581, 0582 Japan Floss. Centre. —646, 648 Japan Floss. Leaves. — 370, 371, 372, 373. Scallop. — 691, 0682 Spanish Floss, and 408 1/2 Japan Floss.
Directions. — A quick and effective way of working this flower is to take six strands of blue Japan Floss, making a French knot on each petal (see page 8). One knot forms the petal. Make a yellow knot for the centre. Work the buds of the pink shades, one shade of pink for each bud. Embroider the leaves solid, using one strand of silk.
Scallop. — Button-hole stitch with Spanish Floss, 691, 0682. For the plain scallop use the white ; for the ornamental use with one 0682. Afterward outlining the interior scroll with one strand, 408 1/2, Japan Floss.
This is the shade number/letter chart for the iris design.

There is an embroider by letters/numbers diagram of Iris Design No. 215. 22 inch. There are two leaves, a full bloom, and a bud with some smaller leaves on the stems.
Starting with the bud, which is the highest point on the diagram on the upper right, we will be going row by row downwards:
Row 1: A, 2, A. Row 2: 3, B. Row 3: 4. Row 5: E, B, C. Row 6: E. Row 7: D, D, D.
The stem, which is done in A, goes down a short ways before disappearing into a pair of tiny leaves of which one is done in tip = E and base = F, and the other is tip = A, and base = B before continuing into another stem that is done in B that disappears behind an iris petal.
For the Iris, there are 4 wavy petals on top, and two flopped over petals on the bottom, the right of which the stem disappears behind.

The next petal going clockwise just peeps out from behind the previous one so that only the top half is visible.
Row 1 base: 5. Row 2: 4. Row 3: 3.
The next petal:
Row 1: 6. Row 2: 4, 5. Row 3: 3. Row 4: 2. Row 5: 1.

dancing with the fantasy/the art of shutting up: Lorraine Kelly
youtube
you have a lot to say and you know your worth is to be kept preserved, which is why you don't have to feel insecure about speaking up, but i will help you relieve that part of you:
source: von Stumm, S., Chamorro-Premuzic, T. and Furn, A. (2008) Decomposing self-estimates of intelligence: Structure and sex differences across 12 nations. British Journal of Psychology, 100(2):429-42
Experimental psychologists:
how they shut you up - you sincerely know who's who, but you knew energetically there is a part of them (from experience) that has been holding you back from being the greatest version of you you've ever been, so you knew there was a limit in them that has to make you walk away from them to find your life elsewhere (usually they are younger than you)
goal - they would rather have it their way always (so they know there is a hierarchy to people pleasing that goes against their moral code intact to their soul believed in being than doing, so they're using you)
SARMAC members:
how they shut you up - they're the ones telling you to 'shut up' at every event you're at or at a gathering (they don't like you being better than them) they also know that you're pretty vulnerable 'to control', so they have a way in using you by making you believe that they are your friend which is how the empath/narcissist relationship exists early on, they know what it is like to be you, but they cannot help but become like you too heartfully that they exist without you even knowing in your sleep, so they took your dreams (hence why you're crying for your dreams to be around your friends right now truthfully) and made you live their worst because they cannot take an islamic hint
goal - they want to kill you personally (because their Dad is trying their best to make sure 'the right family' goes to heaven) which is completely misunderstood, like the Dad is a good guy, but the kid got too much 'attention' that they don't know what to do with it (you got autism an ur married an ur man has not come around for that reason 'BeCaUsE He CoNtRoLlEd YoUr RiGhTs iN eVeRy siNgLe wAy tHaT hE hAd A SpOlIeD ShItTy KiD ThAt hE HAd aN AfFaIr WiTh CuZ HE DID NOT SEE YOU'
SSCP members:
how they shut you up - they will do everything they can to remember a number and a month (death date) to see you as you are (their plan to take your life) which is how they can silence everybody after 'the day it happens' because they love the silence... before your true? life??? begins?... so they were now thinking.... and thats how the mom of that kid knows the hurt too too well because you knowing my blog was you being the ASD kid of a similar nature either you or you know a bff knowing you were trapped there that they lived it with you or knowing your intuition got hijacked (they hate your religion with a truthful heart)
goal - they will never understand you either way, their moral code is that they like what you want (nazar with a cause is destruction of all society: end times logic)
Clinical psychologists:
how they shut you up - they caused that death date, didn't they?. great, now you're TV famous as a historian, you got a great future ahead of you, now plan their forever by you being you by your Hollywood Islamic world inside of you out by preparing your haven (a blog) to be TV priority in you being you (your status is their fear) so be aware of your life about them to them and make it for them (you're the teacher now, so don't be confused.com)
goal - just be okay with finding true love to release you by bleeding (you intuitively know what that is but i'll publish an article about that sometime foreseeable to you in the future but be okay in the meantime that he is the one for you, never escape that thought in living but death is him, you were with that journey with me as your equal as i am to you as someone with PTSD, this is an agreeable journey for you to live on as one person living stronger than life)
Researchers:
how they do it - you're in pain, still. okay, have you met your Dad's eve (best friend like him like you) yet?
goal - you'll be healed in a day once knowing the time that lasts the same effect in comatose to their own character, like they're alive but not forgotten on TV
Practitioners:
how they do it - you're with him. at last
goal - the cure was you. there was a zombie apocalypse with a Selena Gomez that says 'the Qur'an is in my music'. it was her fan base that took control of your body for their 'unhealthy lives to go on at last'
Psychoanalysts:
how they do it - have sex with him (one night wonder)
goal - your life is now with your mother (the person you lost was you but she is you as you being you as her as you again <3)
Neuro-linguistic progressing therapists:
how they do it - you're very merciful to your own household, you find that under great care, is that you don't need to stress about your world with now, the Glee cast (new and occurring members with a device known to the Queen of Games: Viverra Network), you're known for your books available for the archives for Harper St. James for her honeymoon in Dubai with Rogue (Jonathan Groff), you're ultimately aware of the show's storyline and living along with it, knowing Harper is a primordial badass through her blog on Tumblr, just take your rage out on Anson Seabra
goal - Harper has a happy life for herself
Internal family system therapist:
how they do it - you love HSJ too much, now read Surah Al-Kahf (she's menstruating and ur prayers mean a lot to her)
goal - she wants the piemaker to erotically fall for her intervention as the Punisher in real time (crisis on infinite earths on DC/MARVEL intervention in real time)
Hypnotherapist:
how they do it - Harper will have a moment to herself with the piemaker like *he never had sex* they're virgins and he is not, so the word 'he' must be eliminated cuz future is female
goal - let her have sex
Undergraduates:
how they do it - know how your enemies work (cast of Glee and anybody who read my blog long enough to know the world of Glee as an American/British student abroad McKinley high as a new student at Hillcrest High) and write them down intuitively, you have that reason personally to get your life abroad and meet the cast of Glee in real life, they're not the assholes you think they are on the inside (trust me, i'm one of them)
goal - River Song gets married to Rogue on Doctor Who followed with a comeuppance of the 84th Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) taking her on a racist journey ahead of time (with Ace)
General public in the United States:
how they do it - heartbreak is knowing your abilities in crafts (actors) have a reason to make a difference, so keep on doing it
goal - make Sue Sylvester work for your reputation to rise (as a working historian)
General public in the United Kingdom:
how they do it - you have a Jo (Harper's Sue Sylvester in the British Isles) you're more likely to think of Harper as an actor but that never changes when she met Jo for the first time (Uni lecturer now best friend), so you're more reliant on her philosophy than Sue Sylvester (which Jo calls 'her anime wayward life with American Harper St. James as she never had it (physically disabled)')
goal - the blog now has a dream, you made it happen so make that happen by you being you, so watch this interview specifically for you to see Lee Pace in real life (i sincerely thank you for your patience on my blog and your hopes with me, i look forward to meeting you in future now today that i know your dreams are as golden as mine, so you have the catalogue made for you and my upcoming online lectures in full reads, so don't be afraid and watch Lee's interviews starting with that one, so i'll give you tasks at the side for you to contain your dreams in metro-physical analogy of the Qur'an (i made you all Muslim, you're welcome)
you have the book to obtain it (don't ask me to give you mine or you're dead)
book: Psychology - G. Neal Martin (sixth edition) Pearson
p. 419
Fluid intelligence - how are you mentally defined in astrology as a beginner, how are you that dumb enough to preach your shitty analogy of the Qur'an online that you never heard of, so think of Sunni dawah. that man has a shitty way of talking about the dunya that you believe in an American solution (he did not lie to lead you but you were disturbed by his speech too acutely aware to be true about the 'right religion') so he made you quit to join a cult of youor own imagination now babies (ASD) are being raped by thoughts, now what will you do about him that makes you a justified astrologer now a practicing Muslim?
Crystallised intelligence - now you're dead to me.
Memory and learning - you're forgotten.
Visual perception - *piemaker is now the punisher and has a gun pointed to your head*
Auditory perception - you cry for your life or your heart breaks in disturbance to HSJ's life as a woman of a sincere passion as a succubus (prime wife)
Retrieval ability - you're married to HSJ but she does not like you, so you got hit by Gordon Ramsay as a 'God of all kitchens' now his war with Jamie Oliver took place as him being 'the Devil' made himself clear that he as a right to state his arts as a culinary master against Aziraphale (Oliver) to bleed for his rights to grab HSJ's pussy, so u working for him. gtfo of my auditorium
Cognitive speediness - so you're actually a good guy?
Processing speed - you're not even an astrologer you Paki
youtube
now watch my husband grape your thoughts. x

The early 2000s, marked by the shadow of 9/11 and its global repercussions, saw a significant shift in the landscape of international travel and employment. For Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), a group long accustomed to navigating the complexities of working abroad, this era presented new challenges and opportunities. This period witnessed heightened security measures, stricter visa regulations, and a growing demand for skilled professionals in emerging markets. Cambodia, with its developing economy and burgeoning tourism industry, became an attractive destination for many OFWs, particularly those in the culinary field. This article examines the experience of Filipino chefs seeking opportunities in Cambodia during the early 2000s post-9/11 period, focusing on visa processing, the job market, and the growing relevance of e-learning for enhancing professional development and employment prospects.
The post-9/11 world brought about a dramatic increase in scrutiny surrounding immigration and travel. For Filipinos aspiring to work abroad, the visa application process became more rigorous. Obtaining a Cambodian work visa in the early 2000s involved a more extensive background check, stricter documentation requirements, and often, longer processing times. Applicants were required to provide detailed employment histories, police clearances, and health certificates, and faced increased scrutiny from both Philippine and Cambodian immigration authorities. The heightened security concerns added layers of complexity and uncertainty to the process, often delaying departures and creating financial burdens for aspiring OFWs. Furthermore, the evolving political landscape and shifting regulations in Cambodia added another layer of difficulty, demanding vigilance and adaptability from Filipino applicants. Networking and securing employment through established agencies often proved crucial in navigating these complexities.
For Filipino chefs, Cambodia presented a unique opportunity. The country’s burgeoning tourism sector, fueled by increasing international interest in its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, created a demand for skilled culinary professionals. Hotels, restaurants, and resorts sought experienced chefs capable of catering to a diverse clientele. Filipino chefs, renowned for their culinary skills, adaptability, and English proficiency, were highly sought after. They brought with them a diverse range of culinary expertise, from traditional Filipino dishes to international cuisine, contributing to the evolving culinary landscape of Cambodia. However, the competition for these coveted positions was fierce, requiring Filipino chefs to showcase their skills and experience effectively.
The early 2000s also marked the rise of the internet and its transformative impact on various industries, including education. E-learning began to emerge as a viable option for professional development, offering accessibility and flexibility previously unavailable. For OFWs, especially those in demanding and time-constrained roles like chefs, e-learning presented a valuable opportunity to upgrade their skills, learn new culinary techniques, and enhance their employability. Online courses in food safety, hygiene, kitchen management, and specialized culinary skills offered a convenient and cost-effective way for Filipino chefs in Cambodia to stay competitive and advance their careers. This period saw a gradual shift in the perception of online learning, with certifications and qualifications from reputable online platforms gaining increasing recognition within the hospitality industry.
The challenges faced by Filipino chefs in Cambodia during this era were multifaceted. Beyond the complexities of visa processing and the competitive job market, they also encountered cultural and linguistic barriers. Adapting to a new environment, understanding local customs, and learning basic Khmer proved essential for effective communication and integration within the workplace. Furthermore, navigating the legal and regulatory framework of employment in a foreign country required vigilance and awareness. Building strong professional networks and seeking support from fellow OFWs and Filipino community organizations became crucial for navigating these challenges and ensuring a positive experience.
E-learning played a significant role in empowering OFWs, particularly during this period of rapid change and increasing globalization. It provided a platform for continuous learning, enabling Filipino chefs in Cambodia to acquire new skills, stay updated with industry trends, and enhance their career prospects. The flexibility offered by online courses allowed them to learn at their own pace, accommodating the demanding schedules of their culinary professions. E-learning also fostered a sense of community among OFWs, connecting them with other professionals in similar fields, providing a platform for sharing experiences, and building valuable networks.
The experiences of Filipino chefs in Cambodia during the early 2000s reflect the broader narrative of OFWs navigating a changing global landscape. Their resilience, adaptability, and dedication to their craft enabled them to overcome challenges and contribute significantly to the culinary scene in Cambodia. The rise of e-learning provided them with valuable tools for professional development, further empowering them to succeed in a competitive and evolving job market. For OFWs seeking opportunities, resources like OFWJobs.org provide valuable information and support. You can find helpful resources at OFWJobs.org.
The importance of continuous learning and professional development for OFWs cannot be overstated. As industries evolve and new technologies emerge, staying updated with the latest skills and knowledge becomes crucial for maintaining competitiveness and securing better employment opportunities. E-learning platforms offer a wide range of courses and certifications tailored to the specific needs of various professions, including culinary arts. These online resources provide access to expert instructors, interactive learning materials, and flexible schedules, empowering OFWs to invest in their future and enhance their career trajectory.
Furthermore, the growth of online communities and professional networks has created valuable support systems for OFWs. These platforms facilitate knowledge sharing, mentorship opportunities, and peer-to-peer support, enabling Filipino chefs in Cambodia and other destinations to connect with colleagues, share experiences, and navigate the challenges of working abroad. These networks also play a crucial role in disseminating information about job openings, visa regulations, and other relevant resources, fostering a sense of community and solidarity among OFWs.
The journey of Filipino chefs in Cambodia during the early 2000s post-9/11 era highlights the complex interplay of global events, economic opportunities, and individual aspirations. Their experiences underscore the importance of adaptability, resilience, and the pursuit of continuous learning in navigating the challenges and opportunities of working abroad. E-learning emerged as a powerful tool for empowerment, providing access to valuable resources and fostering a sense of community among OFWs. As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, the role of online learning and digital platforms in supporting and empowering OFWs will continue to grow, paving the way for a more inclusive and accessible global workforce. These individuals, driven by a desire to provide for their families and contribute to the global economy, continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience and adaptability in the face of ever-evolving global challenges. Their stories are a testament to the enduring spirit of the Filipino worker and the transformative power of education and technology.
