Memorial Service Held in Oasis Springs

Celebrating the life and honoring the passing of Malcolm, Lord Landgraab of Oasis Springs...

The different branches of the Landgraab Family of Oasis Springs gathered at Summerwind House this morning to honor the life of the late Malcolm Landgraab.

Understandably grieved was Dowager Lady Lana Landgraab, who welcomed her guests to the service with tears running down her face behind her veil. She first greeted Soren Landgraab, Duke of Clovervale, her late husband's older brother.

His family joined him in giving respect to their aunt and sister-in-law- Princess Carolin Landgraab, Duchess of Clovervale...

...Beckham Landgraab, Viscount of Arid Ridge, and his girlfriend, Princess Malie Mahoe of Sulani...

...and Lady Brianne Landgraab. All were seen bowing or curtseying to Lady Lana, an Oasis Springs mourning tradition: All rank and titles are set aside for the duration of the service, and deference is given to the chief mourner- in this case, the widow of the departed.

The new Lord and Lady Landgraab stood to the side while Lady Lana greeted guests, looking not quite so berieved as the late Lord's widow. Rumor has it the new Lady Landgraab- Lady Adelaide- has been looking forward to her advancement in rank for quite some time. She was respectful of course, but there were certainly no tearars shed by the new Lady of Summerwind House...

Lady Lana also greeted her late husband's younger sister, Eileen Thornton, Baroness Patterwood, and her family...

The Ambush

As the first rays of dawn painted the horizon, a member of the Landgraab family's staff diligently patrolled the island's coast, a routine task he performed each morning. Spotting a ship on the horizon, he hastened to inform Lord Lorus without delay. Upon the ship's arrival at the beach, Lorus stood ready with two of his guards, observing the men disembark. Recognizing them as emissaries sent directly by the King, Lorus couldn't help but feel a surge of nervous apprehension.

Accompanied by two of the King's guards, the men approached him. Sir Paul Thomas, an advisor to the King, retrieved a scroll and proceeded to read aloud from it. "By the Watchers Will, Edward, King of Windenburg, to all whom these presents shall come, greetings. Know ye that we command and direct our loyal subjects, the bearers of this writ, to enter and search the premises of Castle Landgraab for items, persons, or documents pertinent to the investigation into the disappearance of Queen Cordelia. This authority is granted to Sir Walter Arnold and his retinue, empowered to search all dwellings, buildings, and grounds within the aforesaid castle, using necessary force. Let it be known that any obstruction to this search shall be met with the full weight of our royal justice. All within Castle Landgraab must render full assistance to Sir Walter Arnold and his men. Given under our hand and seal at Windenburg Castle on the fourth day of Summer, in the year of Our Lord 1354."

Lorus directed a glare at the men, his voice seething with anger. "What is the meaning of this outrage? How dare you suspect me, the Lord of Aarbyville, of such a heinous crime? This is a grievous affront to my honor and an insult beyond measure." Sir Walter, meeting Lorus's gaze, calmly responded, "My Lord, your indignation is noted, but the gravity of the situation demands thorough scrutiny. The disappearance of the Queen Mother is a matter of utmost importance, and no person, regardless of rank, is above suspicion. We act under the King's command and seek only to uncover the truth. Cooperate, and your innocence shall be proven in due course." Lorus remained silent, his arms folded, clearly agitated as the men proceeded towards the castle.

After hours of meticulous searching, the men stumbled upon a concealed doorway tucked away within a locked room. Sir Walter wasted no time, instructing one of the King's guards to forcefully break down the door. As the heavy barrier gave way, revealing a hidden chamber, the scene that unfolded within left him stunned. There, amidst the dusty stones and dim light, sat a figure that once epitomized grace and royalty. Cordelia, once vibrant and regal, now appeared pale, frail, and dirtied by her ordeal. Her eyes widened in fear as the intruders entered, a mixture of disbelief and hope flickering in her gaze. the guard, recognizing the queen's dire state, swiftly moved to comfort her. However, the shock of their sudden appearance proved too much for Cordelia to bear. Overwhelmed, she succumbed to unconsciousness, her fragile form collapsing. The King's guard, quick to act, gently lifted her unconscious body, cradling her with utmost care.

The sight of Cordelia in such a pitiful condition struck a chord of sadness and remorse in everyone present. Here was a queen fallen from her pedestal, a poignant reminder of the harsh realities that lurked beneath the surface of royalty. As the chaos unfolded, Lorus, witnessing the scene, felt the weight of his actions crashing down upon him. In a desperate attempt to escape the impending repercussions, he made a futile dash towards the beach. But fate intervened swiftly as a vigilant King's guard intercepted him, bringing him crashing to the ground. Cecelia, Lorus's wife, stood witness to the tumultuous events unfolding before her. The shock and uncertainty mirrored in her eyes, amplified by the presence of their two children, Beatrice and Arthur. Their once-secure world unraveling before them, leaving behind a trail of shattered dreams and shattered trust.

The men led Lorus back to the awaiting ship, where he would be transported to the dungeons of Windenburg Castle pending further decisions by the King. Cecelia's gaze lingered on her departing husband, her hopes and dreams trailing after him into the distance.

Later that afternoon, within the grand courtyard of Windenburg Castle, the trial for the Jacoban Clergy unfolded. All implicated men, excluding Lord Richard, were paraded before the King enclosed in hanging iron cages, a stark spectacle that exposed their inner turmoil to the entire court. Edward's countenance transformed into a mask of fury and disappointment as he addressed the accused.

"I stand before you burdened by anger and profound disappointment," Edward's voice thundered through the courtyard, each word heavy with accusation. "You, who were entrusted with the spiritual guidance of our kingdom, have betrayed that sacred trust. The disappearance of my mother has cast a shadow over Windenburg, and your involvement in this vile act has brought shame upon us all."

The weight of Edward's words hung heavily in the air, reflected in the shame etched on the faces of the accused men, a visible testament to the gravity of their actions.

"Your actions are a crime against the crown, a sin against the Watcher, and a betrayal of the people of Windenburg," Edward's voice resounded with authority, condemning the accused before him. "No longer will your false piety shield you. Your titles, positions, and honor have been revoked. You will face justice, not by my hand but by the Proxy of the Jacoban Church in Tartosa. There, you will answer for your sins. May the Watcher have mercy on your souls, for the realm shall not."

Following the resolute verdict, Edward's expression shifted to one of disappointment and frustration, his gaze cast downward in contemplation. As Lorus was escorted to the castle, the weight of his actions bore heavily upon him. Stripped of his regal attire, he was cast into the cold, dark dungeon, where solitude became his only companion, leaving him to grapple with the consequences that not only befell him but also his family.

As the sun cast its final rays over Windenburg, Edward proceeded toward his mother's chambers, only to be halted by one of Cordelia's ladies-in-waiting. "Your Grace, please tread gently," she implored, her voice carrying a note of concern. "The Queen is in a fragile state, deeply traumatized by her ordeal. She remains disoriented and has retreated into herself, unable to recognize those around her. She needs time and delicate care to heal. Your presence may bring her comfort, but approach her with the utmost tenderness and patience. We are doing all we can to soothe her troubled mind."

With those words, the lady guided Edward into the room, where a scene of shock and disbelief unfolded before him.

"We've attempted to assist her into bed, Your Majesty, but she resists all efforts. It's as though the shadows of her captivity still haunt her, and she cannot bear the confines of the chamber," she continued with a tone of concern. "Leave us," Edward stated with a monotone gaze, acknowledging the delicate situation at hand.

Approaching Cordelia with careful steps, Edward crouched to her level, his voice filled with reassurance. "Wilhelm, please, I beg of you, do not come any closer. The darkness, the chains, they still bind me. I cannot bear to see you like this, a ghost of the past haunting me. Leave me be, I beg of you!" Cordelia cried out, her anguish palpable.

"Mother, it's me, Edward. Your son, not Wilhelm. You are safe now, away from the darkness and chains. I am here to protect you, to bring you back to the light. Please, trust me, and let me help you," the king stated softly, extending his hand to her. After a moment of hesitation, Cordelia finally allowed Edward to guide her to bed. As he walked away, a single tear glistened in his eye, bearing witness to the inner turmoil and doubt that lingered within the walls of Windenburg Castle.

1. Do you hide any secrets in your stories that only a few people will find?  

Lol No, I'm too dumb for that lol BUT I do try to start future storylines that I do plan on going back to. I brought up Arthur Landgraab (Benjis half brother) a while back and had Nancy imply he had to get his shit together or Nancy would look for Benji to take over the Landgraab name

5. Are there any scenes in your story that you enjoy re-reading?  

YES!!! I have a few. 1) The scene where Vaghun confesses to Veroinca and officially asks to be her girlfriend. 2) Vaghun meets Veronincas friend for the first time and tells them how Veronica can be so mean and tells him his breath stinks (He loves when shes mean to him) 3) Anything with Grayson and Gideon (the are perfect and do no wrong ever)

9. Are you writing with a deadline in mind to complete the story?  

Nah, I meant it when I said I'm writing based on vibes and vibes only. Because I have so many sims I try not to drag out their storylines too much but overall there is no deadline. If I gave myself one I would be stressed and would not want to play anymore lol

11. What are some elements you think are becoming cliché in the genre you’re writing?

I think the "Third Party" trying to break up my couples is something I want to stir clear from. I did it when Gideon x Grayson with Su and Alaia and I would like to NOT do that anymore with my other sim couples. I'm trying to find other sources that would put a strain on my Sims relationship. I know with Akito it seems that it is going down that root but she's too pretty to waste in a cliche like that so I have plans for her

12. What is your favorite thing about the simblr story writing process?

Bringing the images in my mind to life through my sims. Through poses, dialogue or machinimas, Its always a nice feeling to look at an end product and be like "damn I really did that" easiest example I can think of would be something like the vids I make of Sam working on her music career or showing small glimpses into my sims couple lives (Example here and here!)

14. What is something that you think most of your readers might miss?

I don't think anything tbh, even though I love my sims and my story I'm not writing that deep. THings can be very surface level so it would be hard to miss anything I share.

Welcome to Mt. Cavaro! Pt. 2

This mountain plateau was once nothing but a small seasonal hunting town. Over the last 50 years however, developers took notice of the potential of this location and now, it is a bustling upcoming town. Families and sims have moved in droves to start business opportunities or to take advantage of those who are. Some however, are just enjoying the quiet scenic views and good people.

Time to show the families! There are 14 households I will be playing rotationally. I will show them in the order I will play them.

MISC INFO

I will be playing wants based, so the sims have to want something for me to do it. (eg: teen sims will not go to uni unless they have the want to on the day of their age up). I will make some of my own choices for the sims when I see fit, like for example: Vera Flast has the OTH of Music & Dance, so I will pursue the dance career as that is what I believe she would do. Both her and Arthur must go to university because they are from a wealthy family that would enforce this.

LTWs can change up until the sim is 10 days deep in adulthood. Because IRL you wouldn't know what you want forever when you're 15. So it's subject to change if I feel the old LTW doesn't reflect the sim.

I am using custom lifespans:

Babies: 5 days

Toddlers: 10 days

Child: 14 days

Teenagers: 22 days

Adults: 40 days

Elders: 9-30 days

If elders pass away after only 9 days, they would have lived 100 days exactly, if they live to the full 30 days, they will die at 120 days.

Thats all my Families in Mt. Cavaro! Sorry for another terribly long post- hopefully this doesn't become a habit.

IMPORTANT! Alot of my sims appearances and names are inspired by real world cultures. A lot of these names are real names in said cultures, most of which I am not educated on fully. So if I am using a sims name in an inappropriate or incorrect way- PLEASE let me know so I can fix it asap and if you are able, maybe give me a suggestion of what to change it to :)

I dont exactly know yet how I will be formatting my posts on what happens in each rotation. I could make a post for each individual families week, but that might bog down this blog. The other option is to do a full rotation and post all families in one big post, but that might mean some posts are few and far between. Please give your opinions!

Also, a sidenote: I am INCREDIBLY burnt out from all the building and decorating of this entire hood. So I will not be building my own University/College subhood. I am debating whether or not to just use a Maxis one or looking for one someone else has made that fits the aesthetics of my hood. I will let you guys know in an update post in the near future :)

Rotational Save: College and Crushes

Elodie aged into a Young Adult and applied for a Biology degree at Foxbury. At the end of her teen years, she let Amos go because he had the Hates Children trait and decided to date Clarke instead.

Elodie spent her first semester in University Housing. Unfortunately, Clark cheated on her with her roommate on day one and she decided to break things off with him.

Late that week, she went to Peppa’s Pub and met a guy named Joaquin.(NOT Le Chein) Despite the Watcher giving him a makeover, Elodie found him to be basic, but she ended up dating him anyway because the watcher said so. However, she had a whim to break up with him and the Watcher decided to honor her wish. Elodie ended her first semester with a B grade

In her second semester she moved into a dorm. She had a crush on a young Geoffrey Landgraab, but the Watcher shut that down because she didn’t want a Terminator Nancy Landgraab after her for disrupting the timeline.

Instead of trying to find a new partner she spent most of her time studying and hooking up her new roommates.

Close to the end of the semester she met a sim made by @simsontherope called Arthur Fournier. It was lust at first sight and they hooked up immeaditly.

She’s definitely her mother’s daughter because she got pregnant after that wicked woohoo and had her first kiss with Arthur a few days after.

At the end of the semester, Elodie earned her biology degree. Used her portion of her grandparents inheritance money to buy a house in San Seqouia and moved Arthur in.

The mysterious noblewoman attacks Martha outside of their home !

In the following days, she falls ill to a vicious stomach sickness that leaves her unable to keep down most foods. Though they pray for her recovery, the family is secretly grateful at the thought of one less mouth to feed during this difficult famine.

As her condition worsens, Henry sets to the painful task of preparing a coffin for his daughter.

In the middle of the night, Martha's fever breaks. She seems to have made a miraculous recovery...

Until she viciously attacks Miriam! It appears she has been transformed into an undead beast...

Henry is furious at the transformation, but grateful not to lose his daughter. To keep up appearances, Henry and Katherine tell the world that Martha died from her illness.

For her safety, the cellar is converted into a hiding space for her to rest in during the day. Countess Vatore, the mysterious noblewoman who turned her, gifts her an instrument to pass the time.

When Martha complains of thirst, Henry offers himself as a meal; the pain and weakness is preferable to him, rather than put his other children at risk.

Disaster strikes as a stray ember from the cookstove causes a fire! Luckily, Henry is able to extinguish it.

1317

This year we had to roll for the fate of each sim in our household to see if they survived the famine.

Unfortunately, Katherine failed her roll, and passed away at the beginning of the year. While Henry mourns the loss of his second wife, he takes comfort knowing she is buried beside her sister and their stillborn children. Katherine is survived by her two sons, Geoffrey and Richard.

(Out of character here my save got corrupted so I had to put the family in a different save file so I had to rebuild their house and sadly lost Katherine and Adelaide's graves. in context of the story idk the famine was hard on their finances so they were evicted off their land)

As the famine comes to a close, Beatrice survives her childhood and becomes a teen.

Geoffrey celebrates his birthday in the spring.

Henry teaches his son to work on the farm as their crops finally begin to flourish again.

As the summer heat reaches its peak, Henry celebrates his fortieth birthday. He's lived a long life by the standards of his time, though he hopes to keep living long enough to see his daughters grow up and get married.

With the threat of the reaper hanging over his head, Henry makes arrangements with Baron Landgraab for his son and Miriam to be betrothed. Though the dowry payment will be substantial, the two love each other, and such a marriage will assure she is looked after when he is gone.

In the autumn after her seventeenth birthday, Miriam and Malcom are married. She will leave her father and siblings to live in Castle Landgraab with her new husband and in-laws.

Winter of 1318 sees Miriam and Malcom expecting their first child.

In the summer of 1319, Richard reaches childhood. For the first time since Miriam's birth, the Cook household is free of diaper changes and helpless toddlers.

Meanwhile at Castle Landgraab, Miriam gives birth to twins Arthur and Gwendolyn in the fall. Unfortunately, Arthur is born weak, and dies hours after birth. His frail body reminds Miriam of Margaret, the unfortunate twin of her younger sister. She hopes her daughter can go on to lead a better life than Martha...

After recovering from labor, she visits the family home to catch up with her siblings.

1320

Beatrice becomes enamoured with Matias Herrera, the youngest of four brothers who moved to the hillside.

In the summer, baby Gwendolyn becomes a toddler.

Unfortunately, Malcom caught consumption, and passed away around the same time, leaving poor Miriam a widow and single mother at such a young age. The Baron, harboring resentment that his male grandchild was the twin to pass away, blames Miriam for his son's death and threatens to throw her out, but the Baroness has grown fond of her and convinces him to allow her to stay. Tensions are high between the broken family, though.

Talia’s eldest child, Thomas Carlisle married Isabel Goth and the couple had six children before Isabel’s death. Anthony, Andrew, Agnes, Adam, Allen, and Arthur. Unfortunately both Adam and Allen passed away as children. After Isabel’s death, Thomas remarried Margery Thorne and the couple had two sons, Adrian and Ambrose. Thomas’s only daughter, Agnes, married Stephen Ember and they had four children of their own. Sadly their eldest, Amy, died shortly after birth. Their other three Adam, Isabel and Blanche went on to marry and have their own families. 

Agnes and Stephen’s son Adam, married Karina Wilder and they had four children as well. Their oldest, Joan, and their only son, Gerard, both passed away before the age of three. Their other two daughters grew to marry and have children. Marielle marred Mack Landgraab (the paternal cousin of Channing, Joe, and Emily Landgraab and the brother of Tess Landgraab’s father Angelo). They had their son Wendell (pictured first) before they died in the plague. Marielle’s sister and the youngest of Adam and Karina’s children, Audrey, married Dane Akiyama (pictured under Wendell) and they had their daughter Rowan (pictured under her parents) both of them dislike children so I doubt there going to have anymore kids. 

Agnes and Stephen’s youngest child, Blanche, married Sebastian Voss and they had three children though their youngest died in infancy after Sebastian passed. Agnes Voss (pictured below Rowan) married Skylar Bailey and they have two sons Larry and Ryland who I forgot to take pictures of. Agnes Voss’s brother, Piers, is pictured next with his wife, Pamela Chopra, and below them is their son Wilson.

Ultimate Decades 1300-1305 PART 6 + SUMMARY

Eleanor was hoping to have healthy children this time.

Sadly only one of the twins survived - Flavia. Abel passed away.

Also one of the newborns in Blakeslee family didn't make it - rest in piece Bryan. Adela is devastated, but she must live for little Madeline and the other children.

Jaenette has payed her debt to devil (two male children of her siblings) and was blessed with healthy baby boy - Devante. She hope nobody ever will know, why Bryan and Abel has passed away. Carmilla helps her guilt go away with hot kiss. Jaenette finally got what she deserved, right?

Princess Chloe is a child now.

Vernon almost got killed by gnome.

Adela really hates cooking, but now she is the only one in household who can do it. When she used to live in castle she thought being an housewife will be easy. After Huxlay was murdered, Vernon had to focus on improving his handiness skills. Now his goal is to make all new furniture for home.

Maxwell is checking on his sister as much as he can. They are very close as siblings.

Vernon went to the town to buy groceries and take a look at farming festival. He has met very popular and rich man - Malcolm Landgraab. Look in the background - Agatha is everywhere.

Queen Isabella was helping during the birth, but unfortunately, baby boy Osvaldo passed away few minutes after his first breath.

That wasn't end of the tragic events - Madeline got sick and left this world as well. Alice miss her little sister so much, she can't leave empty crib.

Agatha sensed that something is going on. Probably curse. She promised Adele that she will perform cleansing ritual, so whoever is responsible for that curse, will get it back.

We didn't need to wait for the result too long - Devante, son of Jaenette, has fell out his crib and injured his head. It was not possible to save him. Jaenette is extremely sad and feel guilty. Why she was not there? Was she able to prevent it? Tons of questions didn't let her sleep that night.

Prince Dante and princess Flavia are growing up.

King's time has come to end. He died because of old age. Now Maxwell need to become next ruler of the kingdom. Queen Isabella will need to pass her crown to Eleanor. Next decade will be so much different than past one.

The Morning After

Benji: Excuse me? just tell me where my mom is

Arthur pauses for a second a look of realization dawns on his face "I know who you are, you and your dad are the family she threw away"

Benji: What the hell did you just say?

Arthur: That's right! you're little Benji, the son she didn't want with a loser of a husband.

Benji steps closer to Arthur and grits through his teeth "Watch what you fucking say about my dad"

Arthur: You shouldn't have come here, she clearly didn't want you. When was the last time you even heard from her?

Benji: Shut the hell up! tell me where my mom is!

Arthur: Get it through your thick head that she doesn't want you in her life, Get out of here before I call the cops

Benji: You're so full of shit, just tell me where she fucking is, let her tell me herself!

Arthur: She won't talk to a loser like you with a loser of a dad!

Benji: I told you not to speak about my dad like that!

Benji throws the first punch and both the boys fall to the ground and start to throw punches and insults

Arthur: It doesn't matter what you do, MY mom doesn't love you!
