Memorial Service Held in Oasis Springs

Celebrating the life and honoring the passing of Malcolm, Lord Landgraab of Oasis Springs...

The different branches of the Landgraab Family of Oasis Springs gathered at Summerwind House this morning to honor the life of the late Malcolm Landgraab.

Understandably grieved was Dowager Lady Lana Landgraab, who welcomed her guests to the service with tears running down her face behind her veil. She first greeted Soren Landgraab, Duke of Clovervale, her late husband's older brother.

His family joined him in giving respect to their aunt and sister-in-law- Princess Carolin Landgraab, Duchess of Clovervale...

...Beckham Landgraab, Viscount of Arid Ridge, and his girlfriend, Princess Malie Mahoe of Sulani...

...and Lady Brianne Landgraab. All were seen bowing or curtseying to Lady Lana, an Oasis Springs mourning tradition: All rank and titles are set aside for the duration of the service, and deference is given to the chief mourner- in this case, the widow of the departed.

The new Lord and Lady Landgraab stood to the side while Lady Lana greeted guests, looking not quite so berieved as the late Lord's widow. Rumor has it the new Lady Landgraab- Lady Adelaide- has been looking forward to her advancement in rank for quite some time. She was respectful of course, but there were certainly no tearars shed by the new Lady of Summerwind House...

Lady Lana also greeted her late husband's younger sister, Eileen Thornton, Baroness Patterwood, and her family...

Generation 1 Family Recap

The founders, Johnathan and Laila Loomis, with their two youngest, Nicholas and Bryce.

Fundie Status: Full Fundie

Johnathan made a fortune as a writer, first of books and translations of the Book of the Watcher, then as a magazine writer for ETW. They have had 11 total blessings and will soon be entering elderhood.

Fundie Status: Fundie-Lite

Iris is the eldest Loomis child and the oldest of the first set of twins. Danny manages to keep the family going in their small house, bringing home a decent income as an artist. Over a period of years the couple decided to do Natural Family Planning, as many in the church of St. Cornelius do, and have remained at three blessings. After a long moral battle, Iris also decided to start wearing pants.

Isla is Iris’ twin sister and is married to Ezekiel, the eldest of the six Shearer children. Ezekiel works as a pastor at the Irisite church and they live on a modest middle class income. All Isla ever wanted was to have a big family, and she certainly got her wish. They are expected to have many more children in the future.

Adam is the eldest of the Loomis’ second pair of twins, and is married to Chastity, the eldest Shearer daughter. Adam has a temper and is constantly belittling both his wife and his children, many of whom are adopted. He works as a park ranger, which doesn’t pay enough for them to have a large or nice home, but they scrape by. They are also expected to have, or adopt, many more children.

Damien and Penny Franklin. 

Denomination: Scleran

Fundie Status: Conservative

Penny is Adam Loomis’ twin sister. As a teenager she leveraged her marriage to Damien as a way to escape her family’s vision for her life, and converted to the Scleran church. She now works as a scientist at a leading lab. Despite how their relationship started, Penny and Damien have grown to truly love each other, though neither of them want children.

Adriana and Joshua Loomis. 

Denomination: Scleran

Fundie Status: Conservative

Joshua is the eldest of the Loomis’ third set of twins. Adriana is the third daughter of the Moore family, who originally ran the Irisite Newcrest church. Joshua disliked what he saw of his parents religion in regards to his twin brother, James, and his sister Penny. After marrying Adriana they both converted to the Scleran church and are happily childless. Joshua currently works as a local representative, and Adriana as an art critic.

James Loomis and Jonah Shearer, with James’ younger sister, Maxine Loomis. 

Denomination: None

Fundie Status: Ex-fundie

James (now Jamie) is Joshua’s twin brother. The night of his eighteenth birthday he and Jonah, the youngest of the Shearer children, eloped and ran away together to escape the homophobic Irisite church, each mutually deciding to leave religion entirely. Jamie is now a doctor at the San Myshuno hospital, and Jonah is part of a nonprofit, San My Pride. They are childless, though took in Jamie’s younger sister, Maxine (Max) after she was kicked out of the house by Johnathan Loomis. Since moving out Max has discovered that she is aromantic and asexual, and is developing her writing career.

Derek and Mary-Faith Loomis

Denomination: Eternal Teachings of the Watcher Megachurch, run by Geoffrey Landgraab. 

Fundie Status: Full Fundie

Derek was the first singleton child of the Loomis family, and is married to the eldest daughter of the wealthy Landgraab family, who founded the ETW. Theirs was very much an arranged marriage, and they used Loomis family funds to purchase this large house where they’ll live until Derek inherits the Loomis family home. They are expected to have many children to uphold the image of the ETW, which they will do, if reluctantly. Derek currently works at a position in the magazine writing department of the ETW.

Sims 4: Shakespeare Legacy Challenge

Description:  If you're a theatre nerd like me, you're familiar with the work of William Shakespeare. His effect on theatre is nearly incalculable. But what does this have to do with the Sims 4? Well, you've seen Disney Princess Legacies, Runaway Teen Challenges, various occult challenges, but have you ever seen a Shakespeare themed legacy challenge? (I haven't). For this challenge, most usual legacy rules apply, with some specifics set out to fit in with the theme. You cannot age up your next gen sim to young adult until your current sim complete all of the plot beats, their aspiration and career path (unless them quitting is specified.) Each generation must follow the basic plot of one play by the bard himself. This is my first challenge and is currently being play-tested, but you should be able to complete it if you so choose. 

You can use death mods for more entertaining deaths, and money cheats (do not go over 1 000 000 though, be fair) for all but the generations with specific money rules. I may release pack specific generations, but I'll have to see which plays work with the current packs. Necessary Packs: Base Game (with pack specific addendums in each generation)

Summer Wind Manor Welcomes Son

This last weekend, The Right Honorable Mr. Antonio Landgraab and new wife Adelaide, heirs to the Summer Wind Estate, welcome their new son.

The couple posed for pictures taken by Oasis Springs news outlets on the back patio of the manor, wearing shades of blue to celebrate the birth of their son.

The new Mr. Elias takes after his father in all but the eyes, which are most definitely his mother's.

The Rt. Hon. Master Antonio is known most famously for his childhood friendship and "Will They, Won't They" relationship with The Rt. Hon. Miss Yue Dias. Mr. Landgraab publicly split from the then-Miss Fallon to finally date his longtime friend Miss Dias, and it wasn't long before the long awaited romance quickly fizzled out. Then in a private ceremony last year, Mr. Landgraab married Miss Fallon without so much as a warning to the public that they were back together. Many have speculated that after Landgraab sacrificed his relationship with Fallon, it was Dias who called it off, and the gentleman retaliated by marrying his arranged fiancée first, to prove how "over" his relationship with Dias was.

We may never know the true details of this love triangle, but we can offer our congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Landgraab on the arrival of their first son! Welcome to the world Elias!

Tennis Showcase

Ophelia & Jonas together again!

This afternoon the Ivanov Royal Academy held a small tennis tournament for it's students as the Physical Education final. The students were divided into two teams and had to compete against each other, showcasing all the skills learned in class over the semester.

While in attendance at school, the children are not allowed their honorifics and titles, and instead are only called by their first and surnames, as a way of evening the playing field, so to speak, and give each of them an equal education. So for that reason, we will also only be referring to them with their school-used names.

Ophelia "O" Ivanov captained the first team, consisting of Elizabeth "Lizzie" De La Cru, Marcel Yang, Lucian "Luc" Castellano, Clementine "Clem" Humphrey, Jonas Lofton, and Duncan Norton.

Heading up the second team was Rosalind "Rose" Ivanov, and her teammates, Hunter Norton, Antony "Tony" Landgraab, Giovanni "Gio" Castellano, René Yang, Louis Yang, and Victoria "Cora" Ivanov.

A high school PE tennis tournament wouldn't be such a big deal, except for these photos snapped of O and Jonas chatting it up on the sidelines during a break in the match.

Citizens all across the empire have flooded the Internet with #TeamJonas and #TeamLuke, starting a shipping war as to who they think the Crown Princess should be with most. These photos taken of the Crown Princess and the Windenburg Prince, can only add fuel to the fire for #TeamJonas.

"O" sure seems flirty with the handsome blonde prince, and since they're classmates, that can only mean more time together. We wonder what Luke Marin thinks of this?

Yue x Antony No More?!

Paparazzi spotted Miss Yue Dias walking from her home at Hartwards House into downtown San Myshuno to get some bubble tea and finally asked her the questions everyone has been wondering since the very public date between her and Mr. Antonio Landgraab.

Miss Dias was polite and actually stopped to answer the questions the paps were throwing at her, admitting that she supposed the truth ought to come out:

"I honestly feel really bad for everyone out there who was rooting for us, for me, because you all are so sweet and I hate to disappoint you, but I'm afraid Ant and I aren't meant to be. We tried it, because I suppose we both have been wondering what it might be like, after all these years of friendship, but we both came to the mutual conclusion that we were better off as friends."

She thanked everyone for their interest and their support, and then went into her tea shop. When she came back out, with her tea, the paps had one more question for her: What about Miss Fallon?

"Of course I've never met Miss Fallon, so I don't really know her at all, and that to me makes it none of my business. You'll have to ask Antony how he feels about all of that, it was them that were engaged, not me."

Well that settles it. Sorry to the fans who were such big supporters of Antonio and Yue, but it seems like the two Hons are better off as friends. Who knows where life will take Yue next, but we can't wait to see!

April 27th- Newcrest Quadruplets Celebrate Birthday!

Their Royal Highnesses, the Newcrest Quadruplets, celebrated their birthday with a formal dinner at the New Moon Palace with family (and Significant Others) only on the invite.

All four princesses arrived wearing matching gold Initial Necklaces, a birthday gift from their father, HM King Cesare Colona.

And of course, how would a birthday dinner for the Quads go, without a photo of the four women together, all of them happy heathy and thriving in their lives.

April 28th- Giselle Marries, Francisco & Ygor Attend

Miss Giselle Castille, younger sister to Fransisco Castille, Marquess of Cedarworth, married Conservation Activist and San Myshuno native, Mr. Shawn Kessler, in a small ceremony at the Cedarworth Estate.

Miss Castille has been living at Cedarworth with her brother and his husband since their marriage, due to the passing of their parents when they were younger, and the recent passing of their Abuela, Mrs. Fredericka Castille, just a few years ago. It was in Granite Falls where Miss Castille met Mr. Kessler, while he was on a work trip studying conservation in the Granite Foothills. The rest, as they say, is history.

Miss Castille was escorted down the aisle by her brother, the Marquess, and her nieces and nephews, Lady Remy, Earl Rhys, and Lady Ruby, served as flower girls and ring bearer for the ceremony.

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Kessler, soon to settle in San Myshuno!

April 29th- Antony Breaks Engagement?!

Just announced in the Oasis Springs' society pages: The engagement between Master Antonio Landgraab and Miss Adelaide Fallon has been ended! No word has been confirmed as to who ended things with who, or why the engagement was broken off, but many are pointing to the mysterious and tension-filled encounter between Tony and childhood best friend Yue Dias on the streets of San Myshuno earlier last month. Fans of the couple are hoping this means that Tony has come to his senses and will get "back" together (there is no confirmation the two were ever a couple to begin with) with Yue and live happily ever after. If that's the case, no wonder Miss Fallon would've wanted to get out of there!

April 30th: Ben Rushed To Hospital!

In the early hours of the morning, ambulances were called to the Imperial Palace, and HIH Prince Bebedict was whisked away to the Imperial Hearts Hospital ER. Paps, startled by the ambulances, hurried to the palace gates to snap pictures of what was happening.

Security surrounded the scene, but they were able to spot HIM Tsarina Ekaterina and HIH Prince Matthew, still in their pajamas, consoling each other on the steps as their baby boy was bundled up into the waiting ambulance. No word yet on what it was that caused the Prince to need emergency services, but many think that perhaps it's his lungs- something HIH has had problems with since he was a child.

Whatever it is, we send all our good thoughts and prayers to the Imperial family tonight.

Antonio Engaged

Master Antonio Landgraab, only son of Lord Malcolm and Lady Lana Landgraab of Oasis Springs, announced this afternoon his engagement to Miss Adelaide Fallon.

Miss Fallon is the only child of Mr. Jay Fallon and the late Mrs. Emily Fallon. Mr. Fallon is the CEO of Oasis Oils, the leading oil and petrol supplier for Oasis Springs and the Empire. As the Fallon's only child, Miss Adelaide is set to inherit an incredibly large fortune.

Citizens of Oasis Springs and the Empire however, are less than pleased with Tony's news. Many find his engagement to the Oil Heiress a direct slap in the face to the Tsarina and her Environmental Impact Initiative, which HIM has already struggled with bringing to the independent country of Oasis Springs. The Tsarina's sister, HM Queen Anastasia, has been acting as ambassador for the EII on the Tsarina's account, trying to get the Oasis parliament to pass the initiative into law here. However she has been met with a firm push back from Lords in the House who have monetary interests in Mr. Fallon's company. There are those in Oasis Springs who see this engagement as spitting on the Tsarina's goal to have a cleaner, greener world.

More controversy comes in the form of tabloid magazines and online forums, who are fond of "shipping" Antonio with his good friend Miss Yue Dias.

The pair have been seen together throughout their childhood, and often are each other's dates to formal events, however, both have stated that they are just friends and are not romantically involved. This hasn't stopped fans of #YuTony from insisting that the pair is in fact a couple, and hoping to be validated, searching for crumbs in the tabloid photos, and of course now, being enraged at Antonio's engagement to Miss Fallon. Many are calling for Miss Dias to give a statement with regards to get feelings on her "friend's" engagement.

Yue and Antony Seen on Date!

Spotted arm in arm walking up to Le Soleil, Oasis Spring's fanciest restaurant, was none other than the people's favorite couple, Yue Dias and Antonio Landgraab!

Other than speculation by the people and going as each other's platonic dates to official events, this is the first time Yue and Tony have been seen out and about on an official date!

Antony was most recently in the news for his sudden and seemingly purposeless breakup with fiancee Adelaide Fallon, but many suspected it was because he hadn't quite given up on his childhood best friend, and it turns out the people were right!

Yue and Tony took a moment to smile for the photographers, but after thanking them for their support, politely asked them to leave so they could enjoy the rest of their evening.

Of course that didn't stop interested guests at the restaurant from pulling out their phones and taking pictures for themselves of the highly anticipated couple walking in.

Besides walking in holding hands, this tender moment with Yue resting her head on Tony's shoulders was the most PDA we got from the duo, even though it was really sweet!

Two more pictures were taken by curious wait-staff, as Yue & Tony had booked the entire top floor for privacy. No more photos of the date have surfaced however, so we'll have to wait and see how it went, though judging by the look on Yue's face, we can only guess that it went well!
