Well, I thought I'd redraw another small moment from a classic Simpsons episode in a pop art style again.

This time, I decided to use my gel art sticks that had been sitting unused in my closet for several months. Thankfully, they still work beautifully.

And since we're deep in pride month, I figured why not get a bit more colorful than usual for a sketch!

I cannot express enough that if your reaction, as a hobby artist, to not getting that many notes on your art is to say "maybe I should just stop doing art altogether" you need to stop posting art to tumblr

not necessarily forever, not even for long, but just stop putting your art on here and start doing it for you again, remember why you enjoyed doing art in the first place and stop relying on the attention of faceless people on the internet for your enjoyment of your hard work

believe me, I get it, nothing crushes the artistic soul quite like labouring for hours on a piece only for it to get like 10 notes, so you need to find your own source of joy in the act of creation and a lot of the time that means making art and not showing it to anybody

Metasepia Pfefferi, aka the flamboyant cuttlefish! These little guys have a much smaller cuttlebone relative to their body size (compared to other cuttlefish species), and therefore cannot swim for very long. For this reason, they can often be found walking around on the sea floor using their lower arms.

Made a little sticker of River to go on my phone :]

Referenced this video for making the sticker, however instead of using two layers of clear tape, the first layer was washi tape and I glued my artwork to the washi tape before adding the clear tape on top

so I went and saw a live action adaptation of Spirited Away today and it is probably the best performance I have ever seen, the puppetry was so impressive, the choreography and all those other fancy theatre jazz words was amazing

anyways I was bored on the train back and drew some art of no face because who's gonna stop me

putting this at the top before the image; i did this in a group and my paper got stolen a LOT i did not draw the other guys ignore them. only the colored in ones were mine, i dont have a pencil eraser lol

i've been doing these small doodles every friday now, since i'm always too tired to socialize by that point but still do anyway with the small group thats around me. i was the only one with paper and pens for the last 20 mins n got swarmed. not as much on here as there could be i was making giant cubes at the same time. i dont plan to always post these but i liked this one shrug. pens forever

despite many years in many art classes and having it explained to me several times by several people, I still just don’t ‘get’ colors. if I wanna use them I either got have a palette made for me, have just memorized what looks nice together, or just hope for the best as I pick out the colors. I am insanely jealous of people who just. understand them. y’all are wizards.

Come on, I can’t be the only one who sees the face of a disgruntled dad waiting for their toddler to get over their temper tantrum. Which, considering the seemingly large age gap and probably more parent-child dynamic between Caleb and Phillip, is entirely possible. He’s just so fucking over his little brothers shit.
