[id: three panels of a traditional comic featuring three original characters. 1) two people in a swamp. a tall, thin human with a fluffy curly ponytail and big round glasses. they wear a long lab coat, rubber gloves, boots, and hold a plague doctor mask in one hand. in the other, they hold a stick, which they are poking a person on the ground with. the person on the ground is prone, tongue out, with x eyes, drooling slightly. she is a young, thin elf with a big floppy hat, long hair, and a long ratty coat. there’s a frog on her back and some flies around her. a text post by tumblr user plaguedocboi reads: *pokes you with my doctor stick as you lie face down on the ground*. 2) the same two people, angled from the front of the prone elf, the human staring blankly in the background. the elf is pulling herself up, clawing the mud in front of her, one of her back legs raised. she is making a silly zombie face, eyes rolled back, tongue out, and mud drips from her face. the frog jumps off her back. a text post by tumblr user plague-masks-n-mushrooms reads: *emits a cloud of toxic spores*. 3) a slightly older human with little round glasses from the waist up. they wear a coat and scarf and hold a small journal in one hand. they have curly hair pulled into a bun, a scar across their mouth, sparse stubble, and a pen is tucked behind their ear. they are looking down at the scene, unamused. a text post by tumblr user plaguedocboi reads: well there’s no need to be dramatic. end id]
the swamp crew: Gaille (with the stick), Gwendolyn (in the mud), and Laeros (last panel). they’re all neighbors :)
Gaille and Laeros belong to @deretbeshelar ! Gwen is my own <3

Artist Appreciation:
You know...
I have original crenny prints from @furunui // @donatissatan // @tokkis-lemonade // @ali3ken hanging in my living room.
One day I hope to be able to commission or buy some original crenny prints/illustrations from @magentapint and @dudemarsh and guys I am willing to throw so much money at you.
I just want crenny in all of my favorite artists styles on my wall. I’m eventually gonna have the money to commission @foxydodo ! And I have the lovely @elactobuddy and @shizu-yume living in my crenny ita bag along with so many other talented artists. I feel blessed by the talent in the South Park fandom, and when we look at the merch they give us, we’re super lucky.
Needless to say, I love every single one of the people on this list. There are SO MANY other artists I admire as well, so if you aren’t here please don’t feel let down. I eventually want to be like a Pokemon master and collect them all.
Long story short, thank you all for doing what you do. Keep it up and thank you for being you.

Image Types and Tools
Image Types and Tools
What is vector art and why is it used widely in both screen and print?
Vector art is known as Using mathematical techniques to generate graphics and
Illustrations using programmes like Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW. A vector-based
Picture may be readily scaled, modified, or resized without losing quality.
(https://www.qualitylogoproducts.com/, n.d.)
What are the benefits of using Adobe Illustrator to create digital images?
It provides a helpful user interface.
It allows for in-panel editing.
It is completely scalable.
It creates files in manageable sizes.
It works on almost any computer system.
It creates print graphics and web graphics.
It offers a steep learning curve.
(Gaille, 2018).
Briefly explain the purpose of the Pen tool, the Brush tool and the Pencil tool when creating digital images, and describe when it be appropriate to use these tools.
Pencil tool:
The Pencil tool, accessible by tapping the Paintbrush tool on the Toolbar, is used to create more free-form pathways, much like how a pencil would be used to sketch on paper.
Pen tool:
The Pen tool in Illustrator is the most potent drawing tool available. You may establish and precisely alter anchor points to form routes using the Pen tool.
Blob Brush tool:
To create filled, complex pathways, choose the Blob Brush tool from the Toolbar by choosing the Paintbrush tool. With the same appearance settings, newly painted objects with the Blob Brush tool will combine with already existing shapes.
Paintbrush tool
Similar to the Pencil tool, the Paintbrush tool is used to draw more arbitrary pathways. One fantastic feature of the Paintbrush tool is the ability to choose a brush, such as a calligraphy brush or texture, to be applied to the route you draw.

Drawing this artwork needs to use multiple tools such as pen tools, pencil tools,  Blob Brush tools, Eyedropper Tool, etc.
This artwork shows the creative beautiful imagination. There are lots of different elements in this artwork but we still can clearly identify the main part by its size and color. The creator shows us how he is good at managing color, especially how to distinguish and organize multiple green colors.

(Hiroyuki-Mitsume Takahashi)
Drawing this artwork needs to use multiple tools such as pen tools, pencil tools,  Blob Brush tools, Eyedropper Tool, etc. May also need to use PS to adjust and modify in the end.
This artwork shows the wild imagination of the combinations of human organs with many different thins. It gives a very strong visual impact. Distinctive colors and edge lines make the riched detailed elements look still very clear and “clean”.
Tumblr media
(www.chinadaily.com.cn, n.d.)
Drawing this artwork needs to use multiple tools such as pen tools, pencil tools,  Blob Brush tools, Eyedropper Tool, etc. May also need to use other graphic software to adjust and modify in the end.
This artwork infuses modern elements into the original characters and integrates this Chinese classical mythology with the contemporary art style. The style of edge lines and colors in this artwork are different from what we usually see in other illustrator artwork, they are more like a Chinese ink painting.

Blog 1- Image Types and Tools
1, What is vector art and why is it used widely in both screen and print?
Vector art or a vector image is a piece of illustrated work that follows a pattern of mathematical formulas that utilise shapes, lines and curves. Because of the flexibility of vector art we can easily resize or modify an image without any detriment to its quality, therefore it is widely used in both screen and print works.
2, What are the benefits of using Adobe Illustrator to create digital images?
To create a vector image an easy and useful program to use is Adobe Illustrator. It has a range of layouts to choose from, each with helpful tips and examples which make it easy for beginners to learn. The user can make print-ready graphics and web graphics using the adaptability of CMYK-colours. Adobe Illustrator also has multiple tools under its belt that are specifically helpful when making vector art:
3, Briefly explain the purpose of the Pen tool, the Brush tool and the Pencil tool when creating digital
The pen tool is used to create paths and anchors. Easily seen as the most useful tool in the program, this is widely used when making digital images. The pen tool gives the most creative freedom to the user, having the options to make any shape or line by simply moving anchor points. You're able to delete and colour malleable shapes whichever way you choose, allowing them to be dynamic or three dimensional.
The pencil tool allows the user to draw freehand, this tool is better for people who draw regularly. The width of the stroke can change to suit the art style and the artist can utilise the many stroke patterns and stroke shapes. This tool also allows for lines of organic strokes, therefore giving more dynamic freedom.
Finally, the paintbrush tool lets you draw strokes that have anchor points similar to the pen tool. The stroke then can be stabilised and changed to different strokes with a range of different sizes and shapes.
4, Find three (3) examples of vector art that you like. Upload each image and specify what tools you think were used to draw each of the artwork and why you think these images work well.
These three images make use of the pen and pencil tool judging by the separations of colours using different shapes to outline the highlights from the shadows. The pencil tool is used for smaller details whilst the pen and brush tools are used for larger and heavier details. This style works well because of the solid monochrome coloured lines and shapes made by the pen tool in the foreground, whilst using the gradient feature for needed blending of certain light sources in the background, add unique atmospheric depth.
Two of the images are also great examples of ready to print posters.
In conclusion, vector artists can create both simple, like Tom Whalen’s designs, or complex, like Grzegorz Domaradzki’s designs, that result in a unique set of visually stunning artworks ready for both print and screen.

Blog 1: Image Types and Tools
What is vector art and why is it used widely in both screen and print?
Welcome to vector art - the geometric, mathematical equivalent to the pixelated raster images. Vectors artworks are made up of points that retain their quality and resolution even when resized. This is a unique characteristic makes them a useful asset for digital designers.
2. What are the benefits of using Adobe Illustrator to create digital images?
Adobe Illustrator is specifically catered to producing vectors and provides the user with all the necessary tools to create vector images with ease. These tools include the shape tool, the arc tool, the pencil tool and so much more.
3. Briefly explain the purpose of the Pen tool, the Brush tool and the Pencil tool when creating digital images and describe when it would be appropriate to use these tools.
Some of the main tools in Adobe Illustrator include the pen tool, the brush tool, and the pencil tool. The pen and pencil tools are essential to creating images on Illustrator. Create lines with these tools by clicking and dragging. These lines can be edited, smoothed, connected, coloured, and transformed with additional options under the pen tool. The brush tool is fairly like the pen in that it also creates vector lines which can be edited, the only difference is that this tool’s brush source can be changed and customized. Find three (3) examples of vector art that you like. Upload (with referencing) each image and specify.
4. Find three (3) examples of vector art that you like. Upload (with referencing) each image and specify:
a. What tools you think were used to draw each of the artworks?
Image A:
Tumblr media
Image A has demonstrated use of the arc tool in the sky, as shown by the arcing in the sky. Image A also uses numerous gradients in the objects, sky, and clouds. Pen tool used to create some of the solid color shading in the foreground and background.
Image B:
Tumblr media
Image B is also seen to use the gradient tool to create depth in the landscape. The trees and mountains look as if they have been drawn in and filled with the pen tool, as well as the small light details on the water.
Image C:
Tumblr media
Image C is created used a combination of shape, pen, and gradient. The basic shapes of the head and neck created with the shape tool, added details with and pen and gradient to create the illusion of reflective light.
b. Why do you think these images work well?
The angular style of these vectors combines with the bright, complementing colours create an appealing effect to the eye. Despite the simplicity of the shapes, the use of gradients adds a level of depth with makes the images feel a lot fuller and more polished.

Texte 310 - An International Artist DNA
So you like Moonshine, m’avait-il dit. What is this? What you drink! It is a Vietnamese Moonshine. You! So cute! Oh! La! La! Oh Yes! You love your mum, isn’t it? I deposited skin fat! Beurk! Oh! But it is my DNA! An international Artist DNA! Sera-t-elle basée à New York? Los Angeles? Londres? Paris? Adieu. RIP.

DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION
BY. Brooklyn Szekesy
Disability Discrimination: When someone who has a disability (i.e. physical or mental impairment) who is treated less favorably than a person who does not have a disability.
Example: If a restaurant refused someone that needed a guide dog because they are blind and would not let them in would be considered direct disability discrimination.
Facts:
I wanted to bring light to this specific type of discrimination, as it is not one that is often spoken of. Before I continue with my own personal story, I wanted to share some facts about disability discrimination.
-      In countries with life expectancies over 70 years of age, people spend on average about 8 years, or 11.5 % of their lives, living with at least one disability.
-       The poverty rate for people with disabilities: 47%.
-       90% of children who have a disability to not attend school.
-       Claims for disability benefits have climbed by more than 600% in some countries because of a lack of job opportunities.
-       1 in 3 employers says that they do not hire people with disabilities because they cannot perform required job tasks.
-       Only 35% of people with at least one disability and are of working age actually have a job. 78% of non-disabled individuals, in comparison, do have a job.
My Story:
It all started my ninth grade year at St. Anne’s Catholic High School. Being a freshman, I already had expectations of what high school was all about, from the movies to the TV shows- I was petrified. After my first full day, I was puzzled because I finally realized that it wasn’t the students who were the bullies, the bullies were the principals and the school board. My principal's voice came through the PA system stating “Due to the shortness of funds and insurance, we prohibit any student with physical or mental disabilities from attending any gym class. Thank you.” At the time I did not realize what the school system had done until the whole student body gathered together to protest the disability discrimination that my school was causing. The day of the protest/walk-out there were over 500 kids on the lawns in front of my school with signs, banners, and with the local newspaper. Everyone was appalled that a Catholic school was doing such discrimination against these students who did not have a say in whether they got to stay or leave the class. In the end, the students won the fight against the school. My school then apologized tremendously over and over again, but we all saw these apologies as a cover up so they couldn’t be sued for discrimination. I still can not believe that my school committed such a crime of discrimination. Ever since this event took place it has taught me that discrimination happens everywhere and that more people should be aware of the actions they take.
Everything that happened to me my first day of ninth grade made me realize that discrimination happens around me more than I thought. It opened my eyes to the real world and how people get treated differently just because they are either disabled, a different color, gender, race, etc. I believe that discrimination should be illegal in all states and that people with higher authority like the president or vice president should get involved so more people will listen. If this happens I do believe that the discrimination rate would go down and that our world would become a better place. I don’t think I will ever understand how people can be so harsh to another person just because they are different from what they want them to be. Different is good! If no one was different we would all be looking at ourselves and oh my would that be a boring world.
Tumblr media
https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&ved=0ahUKEwiTjd-W0srTAhVs4YMKHR1SDDIQjhwIBQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dndp.co.uk%2Ftag%2Fprevent-disability-discrimination-at-work%2F&psig=AFQjCNF8duE4Qfo9I7f5cKgr2Iw9UueCXw&ust=1493588841011782&cad=rjt
So what can you do?
There are many things that you can do to help raise awareness for this issue. Some ideas that can help are;
1.     Anti-Discrimination Law
If your country does not yet have a law set in place to help protect people from discrimination, you can write a letter to someone with higher authority, or you can make your own campaign that sets a goal to enforce this law for the better of the community.
2.     Second-Class Citizens
People who discriminate against citizens with disabilities tend to see these citizens as “second-class citizens” simply because they think these people do not contribute to the community as a non-disabled person would. This is where us anti-discriminators come into play. People need to realize that these people could not help if they were born with or developed a disability throughout their life. If you see discrimination happening call the police or try and stop the situation in a mature manner.
3.     Tweet, Status, Blog, etc.
You might not think that posting a tweet, snap, blog, and or status could help with disability discrimination. You might not think that one person can change something so huge. You are wrong! Anything is possible, using your voice to raise awareness for disability discrimination could open up the eyes of someone who is doing such wrong and could change all their thoughts towards disabled citizens.
***Remember anything you do to help raise awareness is doing something to help someone that is being affected by discrimination.***
                           !!DISABILITY IS NOT A CHOICE!!
Overall, I believe that everyone should take a stand against disability discrimination, as it is a huge issue affecting our community today. Just one person can make a difference for someone who is being treated less favorably because of their physical or mental impairment.
I encourage you to share this blog to help raise awareness for disability discrimination!!
