What's the BEST art/drawing/painting app for people who have little to no artistic skill?
Please reblog even if you don't have an answer for me!

Hi! What software do you use for drawing and videos?
Tumblr media
Thanks for the ask! Everything on my blog has been drawn using Procreate, save for this comic, which was made in Clip Studio.
Please don’t cast yourself into the heckfire of CapCut. I’ve been looking into alternatives, but it’s a struggle to shake myself free from its dastardly clutches. Don’t do it. Not even once.

what software do you use to make ur digital art :0?
Firealpaca! Pretty sure it's only on computer so weh. I first found it around 2017, scrolling the animation meme community! It's a pretty good app for drawing, it's free, although it does lack some things other apps such as procreate or clip studio paint have to offer (but hey im broke so yay)(and also because I've used it so long and have just grown used to the app and am too lazy to change)
I also use it for animations, but adobe animate is better because it uses things like keyframes and tweens and allows me to import sound which helps with syncing. Firealpaca is better for the drawing part of it tho, so I use a combination of both :)

Hi! What drawing app do u use or recommend?
I use procreate for ipad, i would recommend it, if u have ipad, if u don't, then infinite painter for android is nice, also i like affinity designer bc it can do vector. but before i got an ipad i used computer with photoshop (stolen ofc bc i don't print money i barely get by 😅)
many ppl use sai, but i never tried it, bc i had photoshop and then procreate. Also i heard about GIMP, it's free? i am not sure, never tried, but anyway i believe it can do the job too)

Wished I stuck with Procreate or Medibang. Clip Art Studio is getting a little more limited than I like.

ok so I've watched Izzyzz's video on DeviantArt's history and man, we need another site like that
one of the main reasons I came back to Tumblr is to actually search for communities of stuff I love and also ask blogs are hella fun
but I also wanna explore other alternatives SO I'll be trying these sites(list may grow as time passes):
Artfol
Site 7
and I'll write about my experience on them so maybe it'll come in handy for fellow artists!
If you know about any other desktop sites or apps targeted towards artists please let me know!
all updates on this will be posted on my art blog @mabinogion-artist and reblogged here on my main! Feel free to follow whichever

I've been hearing about bluesky a lot recently, is it any good for artists and whatnot? I don't have an invite or anything so I just joined the waitlist.

Sending hugs back <3
Migraines suck. Hope yours didn't last long!
Also, do you have any free digital art apps to recommend?
I'm going to make that art of "Frida" digitally, but I don't have a good app.
Thank you!
I'm still recovering, but I should be fine by the end of the week. 🧡
I usually do not draw digitally, but I've heard there are some nice free apps, I'll name a few of the popular ones:
Ibispaint (IPad, IPhone, Android) - Good for doodles
Procreate (IPad) - Good for Comics & Manga
Photoshop CC (Windows, macOS)
I hope I could help you out! 🧡

People who draw digitally, what’s your go to app? I’ve been looking to start and all I really know of is procreate and I’d just like some options and opinions.
