Terezi remained silent for a moment, merely ‘staring’ out ahead of her. Taking a smell of the freshly cut grass, the clean air and clear sky ... Yes, it was very different from Alternia. However, Terezi knew that wasn’t what the jade blood was talking about.

It was ... Interesting to hear Kanaya express this opinion, however. Terezi didn’t think much of the others shared this sentiment, except for her and John ... But, that was merely for the fact they knew the truth of what really happened to them in another time ...

But, Kanaya always seemed rather put together. Wasn’t she happy? Terezi thought she was one of the few actually flourishing. Maybe things were more stressful for her than she thought.

“Yeah, it is,” she’d finally agree as a sigh brushed passed her lips. “It still feels so foreign. Like...” There’s a disconnect. But she thinks that’s for other reasons.

There was an inhale of breath. Forcing herself to sit up straighter. Put on a happy smile.

“We’ll get used to it, though. This is better in the long run, right? After so many sweeps of fighting and all that bullshit ... It’s just weird to finally be able to relax for once. For things to be ... ‘okay’.”

Itachi wasn’t as social as he was years ago. He’s grown a lot more reserved and introverted. Still he didn’t mind interacting with others when the opportunity presented itself. Right now was one of those opportunities. 

He was with Karin, the woman he’s had a conversation with before. They weren’t doing much in the ways of talking, just partaking in each other’s company. He could feel her hands run through his hair as he closed his eyes. There was a level of calmness that Itachi hasn’t had in a long while. It was a welcoming experience.

        This would not be the first time that someone that had once tried to kill Rock Li would ask for forgiveness (well, in a sense in this case).  His mind wanders to a familiar redhead that now lead the village of Sunagakure and how, at one point, they’d had a very tumultuous relationship but were now friends.   He was willing to try for such an outcome again.  Especially when this one reminded him so much of Gaara— Red hair aside.

        Like Gaara, she had not been treated with the kindness she deserved when growing up.  She was treated as a weapon, a tool of destruction.  She could not be faulted for the path she found herself on, for she had no choice in the matter. 

                    So, he meets Tayuya’s request with a small nod and an earnest answer.  “I know that you were thrown into a life that you did not ask for.  I cannot imagine how difficult that must have been.  I am sorry that you had to endure so much.” 

                    He’s sincere statement is ended with a small smile and a little salute.  “Let us start over.  My name is Rock Li.”

"Maybe I should avoid going back home. They never liked us in the first place. And if what you say about Itachi is the truth..." Shisui thought about it. Who will believe that he is alive? Do people still remember? Would anyone recognize him? He could think about a few people who would. Kakashi, Anko, or Yamato?

"Karin...I apologize for attacking you. I won't do it again unless you attack first." Shisui said to her, and he meant what he said. After that Shisui was silent. it was better that way. He doesn't know them, he knows nothing, was is the truth what they are saying.

He could still not understand why he was saved. Uchiha loses his value the moment those precious eyes are lost. Yet somehow he got his back?

He wanted the truth, he was supposed to be dead. After losing eyes to Danzo’s scheme, and getting poisoned by the Aburame insect ninja.

Shisui saw her watch, it made him feel uncomfortable, so he dressed faster. But the Orochimaru’s answer stopped him in his tracks. Sure he was lying, Itachi would never…he was always against the killing against the violence. They both were desperate to find a way to make peace between the Uchiha and Konoha.

“So just the two of us Sasuke and I? Just take me out of here,” Shisui said letting Orochimaru lead the way, he walked behind him with Karin.

“What is your name girl?” Shisui wanted to know her name, wanted to know more about what is going on. Still, every footstep was a pain. like an unhinged door or unlubricated machine every bone ached. His back hurt the most that’s why he asked her.

“Is there a scar or some discoloring on my back? Did you see anything while you were setting me free?”

The outside sun was so bright he had to bring both hands up to shield his eyes. Even his skin tingled from its warmth. Shisui could not decide was he happy with the fact that he lived o not. What will these two do to him? Sannin did mentioned human experiments

Was the whole world gone mad? Are the all who once were good gone bad? Is this some altered twisted universe? Or just punishment for his sins?

Rolling her eyes she’d huff, “ Then clearly you’ve never met an Uzumaki. It’s a trait passed down from my mother. “ Karin did partially hate it, this being something forced upon her a choice she never had been given and for that Karin will always be upset when designated a healer when she chose to be so much more. She couldn’t understand his shyness as she’s seen things like this plenty of times and the taboo of being naked wasn’t exactly something too sacred when she more often than not did surgeries of all kinds along with being expected to perform routine physical inspections on inmates. 

Not to mention needing to castrate some as to not prevent ramped issues with too many children being born when male and female were paired together within the cells. Though thankfully those instances were rare but overcrowding did happen from time to time.

Turning towards the exit they would lead the Uchiha out. Not understanding why he couldn’t just shut up and was so nosy about her Karin snapped her reply. “ Karin, and I don’t know. I didn’t get to see if there had been any physical altercations done since you attacked me the second you were free. When we get back to our actual base we will give you a proper physical inspection and blood test to make sure you aren’t too malnourished. “

Orochimaru staying quiet for the most part, nodding with what Karin would propose. A few tests would have to be done to see just what had happened to him before they could release him to Konoha. No doubt the village would blame them for holing him but they needed proof in order to show their innocence, for once they weren’t at fault for this.

Shino wasn’t really good in these sorts of situations. Walking next to Karin, he was certain he was supposed to be saying something, but he didn’t know what. And, seeing it was better to be quiet than to speak foolishly, he remained silent. She had been the one who asked to talk anyway. But he didn’t think it would be so awkward. 

Finally, after a few more moments, he decided it was better to speak up. 

“So... what is it you wished to speak about, Ms. Uzumaki?” Always so formal.

Of course she wasn't, this was for trained shinobi. What could someone like Hinata be doing among the ranks of the ANBU BlackOps? It felt like a waste of time, and yet she was here on her own accord.
