“Whatever makes you happy, lover.”

“You wanna come with? Get your knuckle tats redone. They’re fadin’ a bit.”

“That would be a negative, Red.”

“You want ‘em to keep fading? Won’t be able to see them much longer.”

“That’s the plan.”

Ian thought about Terry’s hands for a moment.

“Mickey,” Ian said turning his full attention to his husband. “You never told me how you got those tats.”

First line analysis

Thanks for the tag @ms-moonlight-inn and @jessij1997. <3 I really don't write enough for this, but I need to procrastinate right now, so here we are. Most of these are from galladrabbles tbh.

The first time it happens, it’s out of pure necessity.

Mickey hears all the Lady Gaga queers collectively gasp when he pulls Ian’s half-hard length from his jeans.

Conclusions: I write from Mickey's POV much more often than Ian's (which is interesting, because I think I tend to prefer reading fics from Ian's POV). I also open with narrative more often than dialogue. ALSO, I need to write more. 🙃

He knew it was a dumb question, he knew Mickey would probably call him softie. But he had been wondering so he asked one morning when they were still in bed. Mickey's head was in his chest and he refused to open his eyes just yet, so Ian caressed him in silence. "When did you know that you love me?" A brief silence, Ian's hand now in his hair, a sigh "When you left for the army" "What?" his tone is so surprised that it makes Mickey laugh "and you didn't tell me?" "You never asked" there's a grin on his lips and Ian just has to kiss him. "You're ridiculous" Mickey smiles even wider

“Jesus , gimme the damn kid,” Mickey huffs

Everyone shares confused looks as Mickey takes the baby in his arms, the screeching almost immediately ceasing.

“Okay how-“ Lip gestures towards them.

“Mickey’s always been good with babies,” Ian adds nonchalantly.

“Used to look after my little cousins a lot. Dad and uncles would go on drug runs n’ shit,” Mickey shrugs, eyes on Fred.

“Why’re we just know learning this?” Lip laughs

“You never asked,” Ian says plainly, eyes locking on Mickey with a deep fondness as Fred drifts to sleep.

Uncle goofy! I love it! I bet Mickey loved it too and called him Goof the entire vacation. And in retaliation Ian called him Mickey Mouse or Mousy. They're so cute when they tease each other.

It's me again with headcanon questions!✨ What do you think their nieces and nephews call them? Do they have nicknames? (besides Uncle Ian & Uncle Mickey) If they eventually have kids, what do they call Ian and Mickey? (Dad/daddy/etc.)

Hi!💖 Been busy, hence your last headcanon ask still going unanswered...oops😅

But oh, I never thought of this! I love the idea that they become something more personal than their family title, so as of right this moment they absolutely have nicknames.

For Ian:

Big Guy--overheard from another parent in the school pick-up line. Ian can't get them to stop without explaining what a different kind of pick-up line is.

Uncle Moose--from that time Ian thought he saw a moose on vacation. He was bigger than said "moose". It still kicked his ass.

Uncle Goofy--because he's a goof. Also, at Disney World, Goofy was the only mascot as tall as him.

For Mickey:

Eyebrows--a friend called him that when they came over for a barbeque and it made said eyebrows do a weird thing, so it stuck.

Uncle Mouse--Mickey Mouse, of course. They only get away with it because they started when they were too young to yell at for it.

Softie--because they know he is, and that he secretly likes that they know how much he loves them. Also, it makes the eyebrows do the thing and makes his voice go all funny.

For kids, I like Papa or Pops for Ian and Daddy/Dad for Mickey. I used to do it the other way around, but I think it was @metalheadmickey who convinced me this is the way.

“I’m sorry Mick.” 

Mickey came closer, “What’re you sorry about Red?” 

“Me, the bipolar, everything, it’s too much, you shouldn’t have to go through this too. I’m asking too much each time. And you still stay.” 

Ian’s voice was monotone, but Mickey could feel the throbbing pain echoing in each syllable.

Mickey pulled back the covers climbing into the bed, gently wrapping himself around his husband, Ian stiffened at his embrace.

“You never asked for too much.” Mickey murmured softly, waiting until Ian relaxed in his arms, “And I’ll always stay.” he added before pressing a kiss to Ian’s shoulder.
