Moar Concepts for the Bouquet AU
Final concepts for Ruby, Oscar, Tova, Penny (work), Rose Fox and Schatter. Arossa’s outfit is probably my favourite outfit to design for this au other than Ruby’s. Not to mention, it was the easiest??? I have a dozen thumbnails for the other concepts so far but Arrosa’s just came so quick????
imma move onto Whitley’s and the other princess’ concepts after this.

It’s that time again folks. Time to resume work on Phase II of my Bouquet of Roses. Last time in SET A, you guys were introduced to Ianthe Regem, our Lavender Rose by @miki-13, Rosalind ‘Lindy’ Fox, our Orange Rose by @che1sea-xiao-long, Rosaline ‘Hoody’ Hood our Pink Rose by @lookyeekiti, Ruby Rose, our Silver-white Rose and finally, Rosaline ‘Rose’ Fox, our Red Rose and the Rose Fox character of yours truly.
Now it’s time for second set. The line-up of characters who will be featured in SET B of the Bouquet are: Prince Oscar---our Golden Yellow Rose alongside his childhood friends and close comrades in this universe, Prince Whitley, our Blue Rose and his girlfriend, Princess Penny, our Green Rose. Together these three forms what I will dub the Rose Regalia---a trinity of royalty whose kingdoms help govern the magical Realm of Light and Magic that provides the setting for this AU of mine with Oscar as the head of the leading kingdom that rules them all. That’s the concept I’m going with here.
Next to the Rose Regalia, we will have our new lovely Roses from the Garden: Schatter Rhose---our Black Rose by @nykamito-x, Tova Rosé, our Seafoam Rose by @cloudburst-paint-water and lastly, Arrosa Renarde, our Burgundy Rose by @beaver-sen
As you may recall, I’ve already designed the Bouquet attire for Oscar and our Broken Machines duo from my first run. And thanks to the fellow Rosebud Miki-chan, Schatter Rose also has her dress set for the Bouquet.
Which leaves Tova and Arrosa. Just like last time, these are my rough sketches of their Bouquet designs.
The beauty of Tova’s dress is going to be in the detailing. I did my best to kind of illustrate that with the rough sketch but I’m looking forward to refining her dress soon. Should be fun. Since Tova has this gorgeous fluffy tail, I considered styling her tail with some cute decorations similar to what’s done with horses. Just a little something cute to go with her Bouquet attire.
As for Arrosa, now her Bouquet design is one that…might be a bit controversial in staying true to her character. Arrosa usually appears rather stoic and reserved, given her backstory. In her main design, she’s sports combat gear that for the most part keeps her covered her up and she also tends to hide her fox ears under her hood; again relating to her story. So…for her Bouquet outfit, I took the opposite approach of how Arrosa is usually seen.
I gave her a dress that shows off a lot more skin. I gave her one of those two piece dresses that comprise of a top and skirt, leaving her tum-tum exposed. I have her a dress like this:
I figured something like this would look lovely on Arrosa. However this style leaves her breast slightly visible and I figured that might be pushing it too much so I made a little alternate version where that part is covered in dark red lace. I also chose to let Arrosa’s hair out because…dagnabbit, I wanted a chance to draw those gorgeous red curls I’ve heard Arrosa has but we rarely see. I also wanted her to show off her ears too. So, in terms of design, Bouquet Arrosa is dressed in a manner that contradicts her character in a sense. But I figured…it’s a chance for her to wear something more loose that what she usually wears but comfortable. Arrosa is going to look different from how she usually appears but she’s going to of course capture her personality. I’m definitely going to do that in her refined pose for sure. But in terms of what she’s wearing, this is how I’m approaching her.
Hey Beavs, Since this is your Rose, I’m looking for you for some notes if you have any. Last time I ended up redesigning Ianthe’s dress which ended up different from her initial rough sketch. And what helped with some of the decisions I made in her final look were notes given to me by Miki about her Rose. So if you think this dress is too much for Arrosa and you’d like it altered, let me know.
Same goes for you too Cloud. Let me know your thoughts and if there’s anything you’d like added/changed in Tova’s design.
And yeah, that’s it for now folks. Look forward to Phase II of Bouquet of Roses.

“The Rose Regalia”
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Big 3. Or rather the Royal Rose Trio.
In the Bouquet of Roses universe, our golden Prince Oscar rules his kingdom of Light alongside his two best friends and fellow royals: Princess Penny and Prince Whitley. Together, this trio form the Rose Regalia. As mentioned previously, Whitley and Penny are also a couple in this universe (for all my Beta-testing Broken Machines fans in the audience)
You guys have already seen Oscar’s Bouquet design from before, so this post is mostly to officially introduce Whitley and Penny into the Bouquet and show off their more refined designs for their attire in this AU-esque fanart project of mine.
While I retained most of Whitley’s design from his initial concept sketch, I ended up lengthening Penny’s dress, adding more frills and swapping out the Rose in her hair for a ribbon veil; playing off of Penny’s iconic pink ribbon that she wears in her hair. Now that I look at it, Penny’s dress now resembles somewhat of wedding dress in a way.
She’s even smiling in Whitley’s direction so...maybe that’s a sign of something to come of these two in this AU-ish project. *wink**wink*
I even have this little headcanon where, in the Bouquet universe, Whitley was the one who gifted Penny her dress. Perhaps the two were out exploring their kingdom together one fine afternoon when Penny spotted this specific dress hanging in a local shop. Penny pointed it out to Whitley, implying that she loved the style of it. Whitley then suggested for Penny to try on the dress and with her boyfriend’s encouragement, Penny complied. The dress happened to fit Penny perfectly. As if it was made for her and the Green Rose princess couldn’t help but smile brightly as she twirled for Whitley with its gorgeous frills cascading at her feet.
As Penny told Whitley, she was drawn to the dress by how beautiful it looked and now that she’d worn it, she loved it even more since it made her feel like a bride---or as pretty as one.
So upon that remark, Whitley bought the dress for Penny. From his stance, he too loved how lovely Penny looked in said dress and since she felt like a bride, he fashioned his trademark bouquet suit after Penny’s dress so that he looked like a groom next to his ‘future bride’. *wink* *wink*
Just little Broken Machine’s tidbit to toss into this pot for the Beta-testers.
Now that the Regalia are done, it’s time to shoot for the stars. Next up are the Bouquet designs for the newest team of Roses. In the last set, you met the Roses of Team FRHR (French Rose). Soon you’ll be introduced to the Bouquet versions of Team STAR (Star Rose) ---Schatter Rhose, Tova Rosé, Arrosa Renarde and lastly Argentia Rosa.
Looking forward to working on the refined sketch art for these four lovely Roses. I’m excited. First on my list will be the lovely fennec fox--- Schatter. Stay tune!

Squiggles Answers:
@beaver-sen 'Sup Beavs! Welcome back m'dear. Thank you so much for your feedback. I'm happy that you liked Arrosa's dress and the idea of her wearing a dress like that. Ironically Miki-chan made the same comment about Rosa possibly wearing a tux too and I figured the same. Hence why I...took the opposite approach for her Bouquet outfit. I like your reference to Goblet of Fire and it perfectly fits into why it would be cool to see Rosa rock something we're not accustomed to see her wearing.
Now that you have approved of her dress, I can't wait to do the refine drawing of it. I'm happy that both you and @cloudburst-paint-water were contented with the dresses for your Roses. Looking forward to illustrating them both X3
