From nowhere to somewhere

After Hating where I was heading and not liking any of the job I was taking, I told myself I think going to the Army would be a good idea. My family has a history of military. My dad was in the Navy, his dad Army, and my Uncle was Army and some more Army. It’s not like It came out of nowhere I have always wanted to join. So my next step was to find a recruiting station near me to get the process started. I went to one, told them I wanted to join, so he talked to me why, and what job I wanted. I told him my story how I had a family history of military and that I always respected are soldiers, and that I just love being born in America. American have gone through a lot to get where it was today. So after that we just talked for hours about the process of signing paper, getting signature, fingerprints. Then info about the Asvab, and meps, which scared me little because I was not very good at math. So when we got done talking I went home and was told to come back the next day.

When I was in basic training I was chosen to be my platoon's guidon bearer (the flag I'm holding in pic), little did I know that I would be a guidon bearer the entire time I was in the army. I found out that commanders like tall soldiers to hold the guidon. argie army adventures 3: it xmas, it xmas.

we moved 50~ long tons worth of food in  my company alone in this month’s army event of giving food to the less fortunate neighbors of argentina, it was great. we do these every month, but since it was Xmas we always make it a point for it t o be even louder, rather than a few companies, most of the base was activated to go round the province giving our less fortunate compatriots foods, medicine and even toys for their children. a kid got to ride on a TAM, and he was really beaming. today was honestly, a goood day

This afternoon, I was remembering a day back when I was in the army and we were all out doing some type of field training exercise in very cold weather. Since it was during my initial training we had to wear certain items, which were not enough to keep us warm. The drill sergeant told us to use B.O.B. (big orange ball, the sun) to keep us warm. He said "turn to B.O.B., close your eyes and look at him, open your arms, and take in his warmth." It was a chilly day in Colorado today, so the closed eye sun Basking in this shot was much needed!
