Approximately 3 hours and lots of hand pain and confusion later, V. IV Rusty is complete. He's really cool but feels quite fragile to move. I did almost break the closed laser slicer putting it on him so definitely need to be cautious.

1/72 Kotobukiya White-Glint

Colour scheme, weathering and decal placement is based on its appearance in the game’s intro cutscene.

SO! Kotobukiya announced their own AC6 kit!

Expect it to be pricier and more detailed than the 30MM Bandai version. If I had to guess it might be like $20-$30 more.

It does look gorgeous tho

Noblesse Oblige Completed!

This was my second gunpla kit ever, and have to say i LOVE how it turned out! Though that's less because of my personal skill and more so because this is one hell of a kit lol

This is the full package version so there are a lot more weapons/accessories that i haven't assembled yet although unfortunately none of them have golden details as shown in the box, which is a bit dissapointing, but at least it still matches the color scheme

Anyways, im definitely gonna recreate this bad boy in AC 6, you just wait

Rusty's Knees

So the 30MM Steel Haze kit has zero knee articulation and this guy did a tweak to give more leg movement

Except he uses one piece from a 30MS kit and I don't collect 30 Minutes Sisters and I could not be bothered to order an $8+shipping option parts kit for Two Hexagons.

First, I 3D printed a part, but the different plastics didn't really stick together nicely and I didn't like the structural integrity of it.

So I was like was fuck it, let's just print the whole part.

Ironically, it's one of the few times where my filament printer would be faster than my resin printer (6 mins vs 30 mins)

But my filament printer is a piece of shit.

Because I am a moron who can't measure even when using digital calipers that can't possibly be more accurate, it took 3 prints, but I got there.

It's still got less range of movement than in-game (was kind of surprised how forward and upward the piece goes when I booted up the game to check), but you can only shave so much from the plastic holding the pieces together.

Now to print the one for the other leg and spray paint them bronze.

It's a pretty basic-ass model. I have zero temperament for modeling anything that's not a face lol

After nearly 2 weeks of work powered by hyper-fixation and perhaps a bit of autism, I've finished building, cleaning, hand-painting, and spray-painting my first Kotobukiya Armored Core kit.

I've always had a fondness for the TYPE-HOGIRE since the era of the PS3, so it's a little surreal to have it in model kit form in my hands in my own colours.

Armored Core is great.

ARMORED CORE 6 X 30MINUTES MISSIONS

MY DREAM KITS ARE ACTUALLY BEING MADE AAAAAAAAA

So Bandai’s 30 Minute Mission line is going to do the Armored Core model kits which is WILD and also incredibly appropriate bc the 30 MM line is already pretty much Model Kit LEGO. Like there’s around two dozen extra part kits specifically designed for you to make your own customs. With universal joints it’s incredibly easy for even beginners to bust out there own custom mech model.

What this ALSO means for those interested is they they should also be compatible with the 30 Minute Sisters line which is the same design philosophy but just mecha musume kits. That line ALSO has a ton of kits and extra parts kits to explore.

ALSO!!!!! With the revive line of HG Gundams (I’m thinking especially g witch since they started using C-Clip joints in the legs) they would ALSO be compatible with the 30MM/MS line and now this new Armored Core line as well. So you really could make a kitbash of Armored Core x Gundam model.

A progress report on my model kit addiction hobby:

Finished MG Strike Noir! I'll do a shoot later but overall the build was messy (on my part) but the only complaint I have for the kit itself is it being back heavy (which was kinda inevitable tbh)

NIGHTFALL motherfuckers!!! I love this thing so much I opened and built it too quickly to post abt it lol (I'll be posing this one too)

And now my current wip:

Giant train!!! 1/5 done and already realizing the hugitude of this beast of a Megazord once more. This one's just an arm and it's already feelin Big. 00 for scale:
