🎄 Giftmas Day 9: Polaroid--Polin
On their fiftieth wedding anniversary, Colin and Penelope reminisce on their journey together.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
After the extended family had left, with the gaggle of grandchildren ferried out after their sugar-highs, Penelope rested in her armchair—the yellow velvet had faded slightly from their bright hue which had stuck out at that boot sale in Cornwall. The pair had spent a good twenty minutes trying to fit that, and a matching blue velvet piece, around Agatha’s car-seat.
“Here you go, my sunflower,” Colin said, bringing over a tray with tea and biscuits upon it.
“Thank you,” Penelope grasped the Christmas mug that George’s children had given them for Christmas last year “I do love our family but they do tire us out so.” Colin sighed loudly as he deflated into his blue velvet chair. “It was lovely for Thomas and his boys to make the trip, it has been an age since we visited Sydney.”
“Those boys have shot up—Richard in university already. Although I do worry about Jane. Still unsettled at her age.”
“Oh she has always been your daughter—always a wanderer. And she is not lonely with all her friends.”
“I suppose…fifty years…”
Penelope looked down at her wedding band, a little tarnished, but still as gold as the day Colin had slipped it on her finger in the church.
“Hmm, half a lifetime of adventures together,” she responded.
Colin turned to her and smiled—the same smile that had enchanted her ever since their first meeting as children.
“Indeed, speaking of. I have a little surprise for you.”
He slowly reached around, wincing slightly due to the stiffness in his back.
“Oh Colin, we said our present to one another would be that cruise in the New Year.” Penelope protested.
“I know, I know, but I couldn’t help myself—especially after your birthday present to me.”
Penelope blushed. It had taken a little bit of preparation to restore Colin’s old polaroid camera, as great a companion as Penelope, but Benedict had done a wonderful job—even with the arthritis settling into his fingers.
“I became inspired, and I made this—with Agatha’s help.”
He handed her a leatherbound book, Penelope opened and gasped.
“Oh Colin…”
Penelope flicked through the pages, filled with excerpts from Colin’s family journals in print or in spider-scrawl handwriting. At the centre of every page was a polaroid picture, taken on the very same camera Penelope had gifted him at his leaving party after A-levels.
She flicked through pages of their retirement cruises or visits to their children who had inherited their travel bug and scattered across the globe. Polaroids taken from significant family events both their immediate family and the Bridgerton brood. Penelope watched her grey hair turn back to the red of her youth as she posed in various countries with their children at different heights. The pictures trailed back further to the first years of their marriage when they had walked across continents and written as many words as their steps. Then a picture of Colin dipping her in a white dress, the backdrop being Aubrey Hall (ofcourse). Then a shot from their proposal ‘lunch’ at their favourite café in St. Andrews, frequented whenever Colin had visited Penelope through her university years. Then a few sunny photos of the pair in various places in the same pose but with different emotions in their eyes changing as subtly as their friendship had back then.
Then the final page, the final polaroid, but also the first taken.
Penelope sat posing half-heartedly to the camera, all eighteen-years of youth and bright smiles at Colin’s leaving party before his very first adventure. To this day, Penelope could remember that precise moment.
“Pen, blimey—this is amazing!” Colin cried upon unwrapping the polaroid. He lunged over to her and squashed her into a bearhug, almost capsizing the drink in her hand.
Penelope blushed. When he released her, she muttered.
“Oh, I thought it would suit—trendy you know?”
“And it’s yellow,” he commented, “for my sunflower-girl.” He gave her a wink and Penelope’s heart fluttered. But years of restraint ensured she only replied,
“Something to remember me by when you are away in all these exotic places.”
“Oh, Pen. I would never forget you,” Colin’s blue eyes sobered, and Pen became caught in them. A moment later the spark came back. “Go on pose!”
“What?”
“Pose—you shall have the honour of the first picture—off you go.”
“Colin—really?”
“Yes, I insist. Host’s prerogative.”
“Technically your mother is—”
“Peeen.”
“Fine, fine.”
She posed, blushing a little self-consciously as she always did in photos.
The camera flashed and Colin whooped. He kept his eyes glued to the picture as it developed his grin going wider and wider. Then it softened, just as his eyes had done, and he turned to her.
Penelope scrunched her nose up at the picture—as she did to most of her pictures—but made a noncommittal shrug of approval.
“I need a caption!” Colin cried and routed around for a pen, he chewed on the end of a biro. Penelope took a moment to memorise his features; the furrow between his eyebrows, the slope of his nose and the dimples on his cheeks.
“I’ll keep it simple,” he scribbled something down then showed it to her. Penelope blushed further but Colin was already storing it in his camera bag. “There.” He patted the pocket. “So, I never forget.”
And he hadn’t, not even after all these years. For there was the picture, and there was the caption.
My sunflower girl.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Ngl. I might make fit this into the 'Six Moments' universe on AO3. Six important photos throughout Polin's life.

FLP CHAPBOOK OF THE DAY: Better Than Throwing Stones by Jan Ball
On SALE now! Pre-order Price Guarantee: https://www.finishinglinepress.com/product/better-than-throwing-stones-by-jan-ball/
At eighty-one years old, Jan Ball has pretty much learned what is better in life than throwing stones at children. Her #poems are filled with details of her various #life experiences: her seven years in a convent, parenting, life in Australia, teaching and extensive travel but also leave some unanswered questions like: Was That Stephen King? or Research Poem: Does Anyone Really Want to Know About Slime? Jan also raises questions in the declarative: Why I Collect Netsukes, The Battle Scars That Soldiers Get or Catholic Church in London; the latter where Jan revisits her convent days while in London or The Pope in Dorothy’s Magic Shoes where Jan reacts to Easter experiences in Sydney where she lived for fifteen years with her husband and two children. Most of the poems make literary references where Jan puts two and two together. The answer is not always obvious, however.
386 of Jan Ball’s poems appear in journals such as: Calyx, Phoebe, and Storm Cellar in the U.S. and internationally. Jan’s three chapbooks were published with Finishing Line Press as well as her first full-length poetry collection, I Wanted to Dance with My Father. She has been nominated twice for the Pushcart as well as twice for Best of the Net. At the personal level, Jan was a nun for seven years then met her Aussie husband and lived with him and their two children for fifteen years in Australia. They lived in Rochester, NY for fifteen years after that where Jan did a doctorate and wrote a dissertation, Age and Natural Order in Second Language Acquisition. They now live in Chicago half the year and Sarasota, Florida, the other half and like to cook for friends wherever they are.
PRAISE FOR Better Than Throwing Stones by Jan Ball
Ball’s most recent book flings the reader right into a collage of her many life stories, including glimpses into flickering churches, children’s games, books read and journeys between continents. Fruits and fragrances, mind and memory, teaching and learning all come together in a magical arc of a book that leaps seamlessly between worlds near and far, sacred and secular. Ball’s book is peppered with allusions to films and novels, as one who is equally at ease with sea creatures and doppelgangers, and who delights in spinning a tale or two, or ten, for the adventurous reader and armchair traveler.
–Donna Pucciani, poet, author of EDGES
So what IS better than throwing stones? Jan Ball gives us numerous ideas from a stint as a nun, marriage, parenting, teaching, traveling, reading, and research to having weird dreams. And turning a poet’s eye onto everything and every place. She takes us on a journey from her Chicago childhood in yellow keds through the novitiate, on to London, Australia, the South of France and back to Chicago. We watch from the sidelines as she subs in a special education class and teaches English to soldiers from the UAE. Her insights are often enriched with references to literature and popular culture.
I especially appreciate her talent for irony, as when the priest falls dead in the sanctuary just after passing the station of the cross called “Jesus is Condemned to Die” and her unusual juxtapositions, such as comparing the Pope with Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. Jan also has a gift for simile, e.g., “I suddenly feel that I could scurry as fast / as a silvery sand crab.” And if you want a few laughs, you will find them too, and not only in “one more mouse poem.”
–Wilda Morris, workshop chairperson of Poets & Patrons of Chicago, and author of Szechwan Shrimp and Fortune Cookies: Poems from a Chinese Restaurant, Pequod Poems: Gamming with Moby-Dick; and (forthcoming, The Unapproved Uncle.

Nobody does it better than Mother Nature. My love of and fascination with the natural world has been a life long obsession. I’ve always been a collector, a hunter, a beach comber, an island child. I did stints in the big cities, New York, Sydney, London. But there really is no place like home. Growing up in Cayman meant entertaining yourself! It was a very outdoorsy lifestyle. I would spend hours collecting sea treasures and I still do (I have boxes full of corals, sea sponges, fans, random pieces of driftwood). My love of design and hunting for all things unique stems from my childhood. My mother would get the local paper every Friday and riffle through the adverts looking for the garage sales that would take place on Saturday mornings at the crack of dawn. She would drag me around from one end of the island to the other. I complained, but I secretly loved it. When we went on holiday, my parents would take us to flea markets, antique shops, car boot sales and salvage yards. It was that quest for something different. Naturally this meant that as I started to travel as a young adult, the first thing I did was to seek out these places and I still do. Every time I go somewhere new it’s the first thing I do. I research the flea markets, the antiques & designer trade shows (evening before booking accommodation!). I can’t tell you the number of times I have filled suitcases with findings from my travels. From Greece, to Australia, Sweden, and France (the Marche Aux Puces de Saint-Ouen just outside of Paris is still ones of my favourites - expensive & now over publicised but still a fav), Costa Rica, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Denmark, the US, Canada, Morocco and so many more. All the while adding those contacts to my little black book. Fast forward to the present and I’m beginning to understand and recognise the value that these contacts and that my curiosity have. I can find you a pair of mid century armchairs in deepest, darkest Norway, ship them to my upholster in the UK (or the US), then send them to my freight forwarder in Miami. All done from my office in Cayman. This is a service that I will be offering. You can use me to find almost anything 💫 (at Cayman Islands) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDCKQoRpNp-/?igshid=emgvx4wduwb5

Finding the Best furniture store in Sydney is not an easy task.
Tumblr media
Finding the best furniture store in Sydney can be a task because it depends on individual taste, and finding the right one is not easy for everyone. There are a lot of furniture stores in Sydney which have a variety of furniture at different prices. Most of the stores are one-stop furniture stores, and they never compromise on the design, quality, and functionality of the furniture.
Best furniture stores Sydney provides furniture like:
Beds
Designer to normal Sofas
Armchairs
Different styles of mirrors
Practical Wall units
Functional TV units
Designer to simple Dining Table with chairs.
Stools of different design
And a lot of other furniture is required to decorate the house as per need.
Price of the furniture in best furniture store
In the best furniture store, one will get good quality furniture which will have joints which are screwed and dowelled and due to this they will not break easily and will not twist or creak. The quality of wood is usually the best to avoid termites and scratches. Furniture with all these qualities will not be of much less price, and it is also not wise to compromise on wooden furniture. Best furniture store Sydney offers products with a price range from medium to high. It is only when they extend offers with discounts then the buyer opts for buying the best piece at an affordable price within their budget.
The most economical way to buy furniture
Never depend on someone while buying furniture. Always visit the store, research, survey, and buy the best piece at the best price.
It is advisable to buy wooden or furniture from the best furniture store in Sydney because one can choose from a wide range of furniture. Thrift stores are not bad but not highly recommended.
It is better to check the outlet stores and even the online stores.
One must shop furniture online, not always but only the entry-level stuff because that stuff is good during the entry-level.
Wait for the clearance sale and discount offers. If the buyer opts for discounts, then You must request some values.
Always remember that quality matters even if one must pay a little more. The durability of any furniture is the main objective of wooden furniture.
Best furniture store Sydney offers the best furniture with a guarantee
For college students, for a just passed out graduate or for a new office goer it is ok to buy plywood kinds of stuff or plastic stuff. Still, one or two essential plywood and plastic furniture are fine, but for more extended use, one must never choose this furniture as they have no lasting guarantee. One must wait and buy durable furniture made of pine or elm, maybe one or two at a time, then remain again after some time but a couple of more. It will also be wise to take a chance when these best furniture stores in Sydney extend discounts on their product.

Principal Jeremy Bull and marketing director Tess Glasson, both of Alexander &CO, were always interested in purchasing the house next door to their Bondi Junction property, should it ever come up for sale. When it finally did 10 years later, they saw a rare opportunity to buy the property and convert this into a workspace of sorts.
‘We were looking for commercial properties, and we thought we don’t know how this will work, but let’s buy it and build a house “thing” that we can use to show clients through, and provide a working from home HQ/showpiece,’ says Jeremy.
That was the initial plan, but with Covid normalising more unorthodox working arrangements, Tess and Jeremy decided to make this their team’s permanent business headquarters.
‘It’s a house, it’s a residential showcase, and a working from home HQ. Broadly our workforce moves in and out, works from home, and comes in as they need to,’ explains Jeremy.
The space is also used for industry events, and occasionally for entertaining out of hours by Jeremy, Tess, and their four children who spill over from their house next door!
Works commenced on Alexander House in February 2020, which saw the previous house on site replaced with a new four-storey interior behind the original facade.
The floor plan now contains an open-plan with banquette seating to accommodate the practice’s team of 24; a voluminous basement area with workstations and materials; breakout spaces for meetings and quiet work; and three bathrooms. There’s also additional ‘wellness’ amenities, such as a steam room, outdoor shower, ice bath and pool.
As principal architect of the project, Jeremy’s vision was for a ‘safe space for reflection, experimentation and to nurture the creative spirit.’ This concept is reflected in the interiors, which incorporate a number of prototypes, reimagined works from previous projects, bespoke pieces created in collaborations with local craftspeople; and never-before-seen material applications.
A small sample of these include a series of outdoor furniture made in conjunction with Re. Studio Collective using recycled building waste from the original building and a rammed earth technique; the first ever use of Lutyens Bricks from Natural Brick Co; custom furniture by Hugh McCarthy and Athol Wright of CDF Studio; and lighting pendants made in collaboration with Shaun Dudley of The Lighting Guild, including a seven metre long pendant that connects all four levels.
‘The house is sort of a random menagerie of things we’ve always wanted to own for ourselves,’ says Jeremy.
Among the various influences referenced throughout are old chapels and churches, with their tonal palettes, double-height volumes, and limestone and sandstone walls that appear to erode away over time. The monolithic pink concrete table by Concrete Bespoke (which weighs 500kg and was craned in to the space) is also similar in form to an altar.
‘Although falling under one story or narrative, each of the rooms is quite specifically different in terms of techniques, materials and details,’ Jeremy says.
Sustainability was another key consideration, resulting in two underground tanks with a total water storage of 22,000 litres; a solar system that generates up to 45kWh of power daily; a Tesla Powerwall battery; and two underground Subpod worm farms processing up to 30 litres of food waste weekly.
Overall, the biggest ambition of this project lies in its deliberate ambiguity. Not simply a gorgeous project, Alexander House is an architectural showcase – a purpose-built live-work set up aiming to challenge preconceptions of home, family, and work.

Why Does an Ergonomic Office Chair Have Five Wheels?
Wheels, a hydraulic support, and a recliner function are common features of most office chairs on sale. However, you may have noticed that an ergonomic office chair always has 5 wheels. Traditional furniture designs of tables, and chairs have four supporting legs. However, when wheels are attached, chairs are set on a 5-wheeled base. This is an interesting example of product design and explains industrial designing as an important field of study.
Tumblr media
The First Ergonomic Office Chairs
Before we office chairs on sale were accessible from a phone, having an ‘office chair’ was a matter of prestige. In the mid-nineteenth century, eminent people like Charles Darwin and Otto Von Bismarck had custom-designed chairs with swivels and wheels. Spending so many hours behind a desk, these individuals used their considerable resources hiring master furniture makers to create such unique designs. Only the highest desks in a workplace would have such an ‘office chair’ since they were quite expensive to make. However, they were often featured furniture for important offices like railway companies and political offices.
Perhaps the first commercial office chair on sale was the Centripetal Spring Chair or Armchair. Crafted by American inventor Thomas E. Warren for the American Chair Company in 1951; it had several features of the modem ergonomic office chairs like swivel springs, but no wheels. However, it saw little success outside the USA as it was deemed to be too comfortable for the rigid Victorian standards of a refined upright posture and stoic morality.
The Ergonomic Standards for Office Chairs on Sale Today
With our work culture steadily becoming more desk-bound, seating must be more than just comfortable. Several hours seated in a chair is a physical strain, despite modern designs with lumbar support. Even if you buy the best ergonomic office chair, you should spend a few minutes walking or standing for every hour of sitting. However, basic ergonomic design standards have made the modern office chair a very comfortable seat.
The five wheels are a big part of this ergonomic standard for all commercial office chairs on sale. This was a design revolution in the 1970s, which featured designs best suitable for the human body. For the office chair, this revolution also meant features like curved backrests which match the natural curve of the human spine. The five wheels however, help balancing the weight on a single center post for more stable movement.
Here’s the gist of it –
A chair on four legs wobbles on uneven ground because the weight is applying pressure at an approximately 90° angle. If one leg loses ground contact, the wobble follows a straight diagonal path to the opposite corner to re-distribute the weight. Hence, a traditional chair with even-numbered legs will always tilt unless the ground is reasonably flat.
However, even if one of the five wheels of an ergonomic office chair lose ground contact, there is still an even weight distribution. The fifth leg lets the ‘diagonal of support’ shift according to a change in the center of gravity. If the massage in institute is often very effective, it is necessary to have large financial means to be massed regularly. Fortunately, there are many massage devices that are often very effective, which allow us to massage daily. There are several solutions, from a simple vibrating seat top to a very complete massage chair . Here are some clarifications to help you make your choice.
The different types of massage chairs
There are 3 main types of massage chairs:
The first and most affordable are actually seat tops that are therefore placed on a support, such as a chair or a lounge chair. They can allow several types of massage, or simply act as a vibrating seat.
Then there are the massage office chairs. They are ideal for people who spend a lot of time sitting in front of their computer screens. Usually, they simply offer a few vibration zones, which allow the worker to relax while he is at his post.
Finally, the most complete models, but also the most expensive by far, are massage lounge chairs, often very classy, and above all very modern. They offer the possibility of being massaged from head to toe, and offer many different types of massage.

How to choose a massage seat cover?
Cheap massage seat very popular solution for its simplicity and its purchase price, the massage seat is placed on a chair or an armchair that we already have in our furniture. It is very easy to store and set up, so it doesn't take up too much space at home.
There are many references, and there are many differences between each of them. The size of the seat, the massage amplitude, the types of massage, the comfort of use, the possible settings and the different options will make the difference in your choice.
The dimensions of the massage seat
This is an important criterion, because not all seats are necessarily suitable for all body types. A seat that massages from the lower back to the shoulders or the neck will not be as satisfactory for a person of 1.60 m as for a giant of 1.90 m. As a general rule, if you are between 1.65 m and 1.80 m tall, for a normal build, then you will have no problem and almost all massage seats will adapt to you.
The settings are important, however. Indeed, some chairs like the  Homedics SGM-425H-EU  offer many adjustments, which allow all users to adapt the massage surface to their liking. Thus, all morphologies find their account. Obviously, between a massage seat offering adjustment possibilities and a standard seat, the prices vary greatly. It is thus possible to adjust the height, but above all the massage width. It is in my opinion an essential element to be sure to be able to use this material properly.
Comfort and ease of use
These are important criteria since some massage lovers will find it difficult to adapt to devices offering very hard massage heads. Some manufacturers also choose heads equipped with gel to make the massage softer and often more pleasant. This is the case with the  Homedics SBM-600H-EU .
Anyway, even if your massage seat seems painful the first few times, you should know that it usually takes a period of adaptation of a few massages to finally take a lot of pleasure. It is therefore always necessary to suffer slightly at the start to finally receive the pleasant and relaxing massages so hoped for.
For as easy use as possible, it is preferable to use a seat equipped with a remote control with a sufficiently long cord. So you can make the various settings and start a program while already being perfectly installed.
Massages offered
This is where the different devices will stand out. For example, you can find massage seats, like the Medisana MC 810 , which will simply offer relaxing massages by vibrations. There will be several possible zones (lower, upper back, shoulders, buttocks…) and different intensities, but no real massages strictly speaking. The vibration massage, however, allows the user to relax and there is no risk of pain. You can also sometimes use this type of massage seat in the car.
We can then find the rolling. This is a massage technique that is performed through the action of rollers or balls present in the mattress of the device. The rollers then move up and down and right to left and can rotate on one or more axes as they move along the spine. This effectively relaxes muscles all over the back, but also the neck and shoulders.
Shiatsu massage is present on more and more massage seat models. The massage heads here must reproduce the movements that a masseuse performs using these thumbs, the palm of her hand or her elbows. This type of massage is done by more or less significant pressure combined with percussion. It is a program that is intended to be revitalizing and perfect to prepare the body for physical exertion. It is also great for relieving muscle tension.
We can also sometimes find a massage with 4 hands. This allows you to work several areas of the back at the same time, and thus relax more quickly. It is then possible to choose between shiatsu, rolling or even tapping, but with 4 pressure zones simultaneously. It is effective and above all very pleasant.

Some options
The main option that can be found on many references is that the seat or massage heads are heated. This allows the muscles to relax more quickly, and it is obviously more comfortable to use, especially in winter. Do not hesitate to consult our tests to find out if this function is really efficient on the device you are targeting. Indeed, some massage seats have this option, but we do not notice a big difference when it is engaged.
Rarer but yet very interesting, the option to target and stay on a fixed area gives the user the possibility to get rid of a persistent muscle knot. It is usually the relatively high-end massage seats that offer this feature, which may be essential depending on your profile and needs.
Choosing a massage office chair
Best office chair for this type of massage chair, do not expect miracles in terms of performance. We only find massage office chairs that simply offer vibration massage. However, this product should not be denigrated, which can be a powerful ally, both for your ability to stay focused and to relieve muscles that have been numb for too long by a sitting position.
Indeed, the vibrations provided by this type of device relax muscles and nervous tension. This gives the possibility in a few minutes, to lower our level of stress, to relax, and thus to start working again with a high level of performance.
Selection criteria
The first important point to choose this type of chair, is obviously the seat. Before thinking about the well-being of massage, you need to sit as well as possible. It would indeed be unfortunate to relieve back pain that your chair would cause itself. Homcom understood this well, and the manufacturer offers a very comfortable armchair, offering a very good quality seat whether you weigh 60 or 100 kg.
It is also necessary to ensure the strength and robustness of the chair. It is of course a working tool that you want to keep for a long time. It will welcome you every day, and the fabrics and materials should be as tough as possible.
Finally, the number of massage zones is of course essential, the more there are, the better. You can then vary the pleasures, and choose different programs. Sometimes you will enjoy the vibrations in the lower back, and other times it will be your shoulders that need to be relaxed. There must also be several levels of intensity. Depending on your build or your feelings, you will need more or less power.
Possible options
Usually you will have nothing to offer other than the soothing heat option. It is always a plus in order to properly and quickly relax the back muscles. This is really very appreciable, especially in winter if you have trouble heating your office, you will almost be happy to get to work.
In principle, your office massage chair is mounted on casters, in order to be moved as easily as possible. If it doesn't, it's best to make sure it's not too heavy. It is a seat that we manipulate several times a day, so it must be as simple as possible.

 Choose your massage chair
effective massage chair The one that we really call "massage chair" is the chair which generally finds its place in the living room and which will be used as much to relax in front of the TV as to practice some massages. Here the price differences are really huge. You can find massage chairs for a few hundred euros like the Homcom lounge chair and its simple vibration massages, or you can turn to very complete devices, which generally cost 10 times more expensive like the Prince Tecnovita , but which allow incredible and above all very effective massage sessions.
We will therefore necessarily choose this massage chair according to our means, but not only. There are many criteria to allow us to choose the massage chair that will be best suited to our needs.
Different types of massage
Exactly like massage seats, massage chairs can offer many different programs and massages. As specified a few lines above, the lowest-end models are generally simply armchairs offering vibration massages. It's nice, it relaxes, but nothing to do with a real massage that kneads the muscles.
Shiatsu is of course very present on most medium or high-end models. On some devices, you will actually have the impression that two massage therapist hands are acting on your muscles, rubbing and kneading your back with great efficiency.
Percussions or tapping will also be very often part of the game. It gives the impression of a light pat on the back, a bit like Swedish or Thai massages. It is ideal for increasing blood flow and thus getting rid of too much muscle stiffness.
The bearings or rolling are in principle on the program. They stretch the muscles on either side of the spine. It is a very popular massage that generally relaxes very well and helps fight various back pain. A little painful at the start, you always end up asking for more.
Massage areas
Some armchairs will only massage your back, others will also focus on relaxing your neck, and finally some will take care of your calves and even your feet particularly well. It's all a matter of desire and need. Some athletes will need a full massage, especially on the legs to recover or to prepare for physical exertion. Others will simply need to have their shoulders and neck massaged effectively. It is therefore necessary to learn about all the possibilities offered by the different massage chairs, and make your choice accordingly.
Tilt
Some chairs offer a very slight recline, and others a full recline. This is obviously important, since the greater the inclination, the deeper the massage will be. The weight of the body presses more forcefully on the massage heads when you are lying down, and thus they press more effectively on the muscles. Some chairs tilt up to 135 °, and others will go up to 180 °. Even if we will not always use the maximum inclination, it is a significant plus than being able to fully lay the backrest.
Relaxation massage
The look of the armchair
Of course, even if you have found the chair of your dreams in terms of use and massage characteristics, it still has to adapt properly to your furniture. It is not a piece of furniture that you put away once you have used it. It takes up space, it is heavy, and it will therefore very often take center stage in your living room, or in an important room of the house. Fortunately, the manufacturers have understood this constraint, and they generally do not offer neon pink armchairs with green dots, but rather material that is both sober and modern. So massage chairs are often very similar from one brand to another, and they adapt to most interior decorations.
Choose an armchair you like, because it will stay in front of your eyes for many, many years to come. A piece of furniture that becomes unpleasant to your liking will end up giving you the opposite of what you are looking for with a massage chair. Relaxation also involves aesthetics and the visual comfort that an object gives us.
Some tips
For a massage chair that costs several thousand dollars, be sure to check that it has a sufficiently large warranty. The most serious manufacturers generally offer a 5-year guarantee, beware of devices with too short guarantees, the manufacturer does not show confidence in his product.
There are also often testing periods of between 30 and 90 days. This is again a guarantee of quality. If the manufacturer offers to test the device for free, and to reimburse you for it in case of dissatisfaction, it is because he believes in his product and in its capacity to seduce you. You then have very little reason to hesitate.
It is a mechanical and electronic object, so there is a risk of breakdowns. Now, most massage chairs have a modular design, that is to say, most parts are easily removable, in order to be replaced or repaired individually. This is not the case with all devices, however, and sending such a heavy chair to a repairer can be very expensive.
Finally, even if it is possible to find used massage chairs at often very attractive prices, this is a solution that we do not recommend. Indeed, it is really a sensitive device that it is better to know new. You can buy a second-hand wheelchair, having the impression that everything is working well, but ultimately with less performance than that of a new product. Not to mention that you will not have any warranty and that the final price will eventually swell over the repairs. For this type of device, choosing a new one is essential.

Why Do Carports Make the Best Outdoor Shade Investment?
Are you thinking of securing your vehicles from harsh Aussie weather? Are you planning on building a custom shed to protect your beloved cars? Why not give custom carports a try instead?
Just like sheds, carports are an easy way to secure your vehicles from the troublesome Australian weather. Aside from providing overall protection, carports act as a wonderful extension to your home. Imagine yourself with a book in summers in your carport or playing with your kids in that beautiful safe space! It feels just right, isn’t it?
Leading carport builders Sydney can customise carports to improve the aesthetic and monetary value of your property. Let’s learn more about the benefits of carports and how it makes a valuable investment.
 Are Carports Better Than Sheds?
With sheds, you cannot do more than just keeping your vehicles. However, with bespoke carports, you can do a lot more.
For instance, you can include pergola roofing Sydney in your carport to give it a unique look and add up to your place. You can turn it into a social entertainment zone for a small gathering at your place. You can display your goods in the carports for sale and attract buyers right at your doorstep.
Further, carports are usually wall-less and are bigger in dimension as compared to sheds. A bigger structure means a bigger space and a better way to accommodate your vehicles as well as show off your assets.
What Can You Do With Carports?
The best part about carports is that it gives you a chance to customise and boost up your creativity. As we said, you can reach out to pergola builders Sydney to build your carport with pergola roofing.
Other than this, you can also build an open greenhouse by bordering the sides with potted plants or hang baskets of vines to create a look and feel of a garden. You can also keep an armchair in the area and cuddle with a book to create your solace space.
If you are building a carport for a commercial purpose, you can make use of it for your retail display. It will be an extension to your primary property. These work great for retail shops, bakeries, or florists to show off their best to the public. You can customise these carports in different colours or textures to attract more customers.
 How Can Carports Offer Protection?
The main purpose of a carport is protection.
The Australian sun is known to cause damage to vehicles in different ways. You can avert this by contacting a leading carport company and getting a well-built carport installed in your property.
Having a custom-made carport can protect your vehicles from scorching Australian heat and rains. Carports keep vehicles safe from the extreme heat that can damage the rubber of tires and lead to several other heat-related breakdowns. In addition to this, a carport can also keep birds and their excrement away from your vehicles.
 To Sum It Up
Custom carports are a great way to add an extension to your place. These structures not only protect vehicles but also create an outdoor entertainment area for you to enjoy. Trust us - carports are nothing but value for money investment.
