Watching the US Edition of Resident Evil (1998) vs the Remastered (2002) version. The whiplash between generations, especially the cutscenes, is real.
Kenneth’s death is somehow more horrifying in the original, uncensored release.
His head came off. As in, it was ripped off completely. No longer attached to his body, and considering the fact that zombies don’t have much physical strength, my best guess is that his throat was literally chewed through.
Same as his head. Chewed down to bone and muscle on one side of his face. Then that paper mache lookalike zombie slowly turns around to face the camera -
Just.
Oh. Oh no no no no no.
Fuck no.
For years, I thought that and the images of the chewed up bodies in the opening was a fucking fever dream and I’m just now learning it wasn’t?
To which I say, poor fucking Jill and Chris (depending on which character you’re playing as in-game). Like, we hear the man fighting for his life - the gunshot. His blood (or the blood of the zombie) is still fresh in the dining room.
By the time the player finds him, he’s literally just died. It takes not even ten seconds, fifteen at the most, to reach the hallway that he’s in and it’s just - so fucked.
This was their colleague, their senior - a person they had likely spent damn near everyday of the past two years with - and he’s dead, and not just dead, but desecrated. A man well-versed in chemistry, who greatly enjoyed gardening and was also extremely skilled at landscaping - things we don’t hear of him in game - had just gotten killed.
By a zombie of all things.

Lover, Leader, Liar [Savior, Sinner] - (Albert Wesker x gn!Reader)

when wesker makes a promise, he keeps it. even if it hurts.
Tumblr media
The clock was quite literally ticking.  Every second wasted was a second closer to the inevitable blast.  But there was a… variable that he hadn’t considered.  A scream, a stumble in the room above just barely loud enough to hear over the sharp bang of each discharged round.  If it were anyone else…
But it isn’t, so he bolts.  Shoves through body after body, practically leaping halfway up the stairs.  His boots fall quick and heavy and the door separating him from you is no match.  He rams into it and breaks it clean off the hinges, and there he finds a sickening scene.
That lumbering beast is upon you, trapping you in the corner of the room while you tremble and shake, clambering back until you’ve nowhere else to go.  The slide of your gun is locked open.  You’d spent your entire magazine on her, surely.  Poor thing.  Of course you wouldn’t know.
Your eyes flicker to him, blown wide with raw terror.  You’d been afraid since the moment Alpha Team touched down in the woods, though you'd tried your best to hide it.  The last time he saw you, Wesker had to rest a hand on your shoulder and reassure you that everything would be okay.  No one else would die.  You wouldn’t die.  Not under his command.  Not if he had anything to say about it.
Such is the promise he’s chosen to keep.
He draws his gun at lightning speed and unloads three rounds into Lisa Trevor’s back.  She stumbles toward you but whirls around to face her assailant.  Damn thing had been stalking him since he rose from the dead, so what was a little more time to tango?  Lisa wails at him, lumbering forward, which gives you enough time to crawl under a desk and run to him.  He’s almost resentful that you can’t quite match the pace of his sprint, but, so long as your hand is in his, you will not perish to that creature.
Your frantic breaths and the warmth of your touch are his purpose as he mows down beast after beast.  Hunters, dogs, zombies… it makes no difference.  The two of you must be out of here before time runs out.  There’s no time for your blubbering about the blood splattered all over his body from the wound that no longer exists.  There’s no time for your sputtering when he shoves another gun in your hands, nor any for your hesitation when Lisa reappears and blocks your exit.
He fights tooth and nail.  When that chandelier comes down, impaling and trapping her, Wesker hoists you onto his back and takes off as fast as he can.  It would not do to have you running after him.  Even hand in hand, you wouldn’t be able to make it far enough with what little time remains.  But now, with his new abilities, you’re no more than a mere feather.  Not even the death grip you hold around his shoulders phases him.
You whimper at the deafening boom.  He lowers you behind a thick tree and huddles close, pressing you against the trunk, taking cover against the shockwave that pulses through the forest.
“C-Captain…”
He finds you staring, tears rimming your eyes.  Could be any number of reasons you were on the brink of crying.  He’d wager it was, well… everything.  From finding Bravo Team’s bodies to your first encounter with the living dead, to nearly having your skull shattered by Lisa’s devastating strength, all the way to outrunning enough explosives to leave a crater in place of the mansion.  Your lower lip trembles.
The sight of you calls him back to the night before this whole debacle began.  You’d brought him coffee and dinner from the beat up diner down the road.  You mentioned how nervous you were to find out who the perpetrators were of the string of murders plaguing the area.  It wasn’t uncommon for you to visit his office.  In fact, your relationship had been inching further and further away from purely professional and more toward… well, whatever it was going to be.  Part of him always wanted to cave to those feelings brewing in his chest, but he knew better.  Or, at least, he thought he did.  Truth be told, your odds of surviving the manor had been slim to none and he was going into the situation nearly certain no one would make it out.  He’d been incredibly tempted to fire you just to keep you alive…  Words could never describe the regret he felt when the day came that it was too late.
But, then again, you could be like this because you knew that he was in on it.
Cold, shaking hands land on his forearms.  “Captain… your eyes…” You whisper shakily.  Not what he was expecting.  A nice right hook would’ve made more sense than the way you pat him down, searching for injuries.  He all but fully flinches when your fingertips graze his exposed abdomen.
“That’s not necessary,” Wesker says, pushing your hands away.
He grazes your fingers with his.  A big stack of paperwork filled out perfectly, just the way he’d asked. “Thank you,” he hums.  Pink tinges your cheeks and a smile settles right in.  You feel it too, then?
“W-Were you hurt?”
Softness drapes over his shoulders.  He’s barely conscious, far too exhausted from his two-day stint without sleep to open his eyes.  There’s a soft clicking noise and the high pitched, barely-there buzz of the computer monitor ceases.  He knows it’s you.  Only you would do this.  Only you would take care of him this way…
“I was.”  He says, turning, still hand in hand with you, to walk away.  “Best not to waste any more time.”  Every three-letter agency in the world would be finding its way to the scene in no time.  Moreover, with the rest of Alpha-Team knowing of his involvement, said agencies would be beating down the door to his home within the day.  There was little to gather, but he certainly needed to stop there before disappearing.  “Come.”
Tumblr media
It took many miles on foot before stumbling upon a residence with a perfectly procurable vehicle, and the drive back to Raccoon City had been tense.  You were still on edge, obviously.  It’s when he leads you to sit on the edge of his bed– he can’t let you out of his sight– as he gathers documents and necessities that you finally lean forward, hand over your eyes, and bite back your weak cries.
“D-Did you really… You knew?”  You sputter.  “You knew, and you just let us walk in there?”
Wesker holds your gaze as he strips his ruined vest, uniform button-up, and undershirt away.  Can’t sport the S.T.A.R.S logo anymore. Not that he even wanted to. “Yes.” He says, tugging a black sweater over his head.  He expected you to run.  He’s unsure why you haven’t tried.  At first he thought it was shock.  Perhaps you had been too shaken to consider it an option, but you’d calmed significantly during the drive and now…?
“You don’t have to stay late.”  He tells you, standing halfway in the doorway to his office.  Everyone else went home hours ago.
“I know,” you say, looking up at him from your screen.  “I want to.”
He catches sight of his eyes in the mirror mounted beside his closet door.  Ocular mutations weren’t uncommon, but it would be one that he must hide from time to time.  Suppose, though, that it was simply solved with a new pair of sunglasses.
Wesker snags the duffel bag he’d prepared before the mission.
“– why did you save me?”  He’d been tuning out your sorrowful rantings, but there could be no ignoring the weak sob that preceded such a difficult question.  Why indeed…
His doorbell rings, jarring him from his focused writings. He opens it to find you, tupperware container in hand, with your eyes practically sparkling.
“Hi– sorry!  I was just coming back from the little birthday lunch we did for Jill and I–”  You hold the container out for him.  “I dunno, I just thought you’d maybe like some cake?”
He regards you with amusement for a moment.  He’s only seen you in normal clothes a handful of times, usually if you were stopping into the precinct on your day off, but it never failed to tickle some small, cold part of his heart.  In turn, he knows this is the first time you’ve seen him out of uniform.  He’s dressed down, sporting a sweater and jeans, signature glasses left elsewhere.  He quite likes the way you try to hide your wandering eyes.
Wesker takes the container and gives you a soft, grateful smile.  Part of him feels that he should invite you in and offer you something– coffee, perhaps.  Engage in the rules of reciprocity drilled into his head with every etiquette class required in his schooling years.
“Would you like to come in?”  The smile on your face is all he needs.  “You’ve brought quite a large piece.  I might need some help with it.”
“You could’ve left me there!”  You’ve got him by the shirt now, wet eyes boring into his.  “You brought us there to die, so why didn’t you leave me!?”
He clamps a palm over your mouth, spins, and presses you to the wall.
The chime to the flower shop signals his arrival.  He towers over the old woman tending the plants as he explains to her his need.
“The most elaborate bouquet you can make for a grief-stricken recipient,” he says.  “Price is no object.”
The moment he picked up that phone and you explained your need for time off through poorly suppressed sobs, he was already sure of where he’d be headed on his lunch break.  Your parents, you’d said.  A head on collision with a drunk driver.  It was believed they died on impact, but such a mercy didn’t quell your sobs.  Frankly, nothing could except for time’s power to numb the pain.
Wesker has no family to mourn.  No parents, no siblings.  As an orphaned boy in boarding school, he’d done his crying when the others would leave to spend the holidays with their family.  He can’t quite fathom the grief you feel at losing your only family, but this? He can do this.
“What would you like the card signature to say?”  Asks the old woman as she scribbles her notes.
He contemplates for a moment, weighing his options.  But he knows, deep down, the best and worst possible options are one and the same.
“With love,” he recites. “Albert Wesker.”
“You have two choices,” he tells you.  Wesker shows extra care to ensure the hand covering your mouth does nothing more than silence you.  You need not suffer any more pain.  “The first: I leave you behind.  You answer questions for every agency under the sun and hole up in your apartment while you wake, alone and afraid, every night when your dreams bring you back there. Just to spend every day adrift in a city that, I assure you, is doomed for worse than the mansion.”
Your eyes widen at his prophecy, but it’s the truth.  Birkin would be continuing operations in the area and, frankly, bad things come in threes.  Between the manor and the train, more was bound to happen.  You could choose to stay, or…
“Or you can come with me, where you need not be alone.”
You hugged him as if your life depended on it when he showed up at your door.  The flowers had arrived earlier, delivered by the seller as instructed.  The crickets sing their song as he holds you, right hand rubbing between your shoulders while you hide your face against his chest.
“Thank you, Captain.” You murmur into his shirt.  You look destroyed.  His heart lurches for you, practically desperate to burst from his chest and engulf you in whatever crevice within it craves you so badly.
“Albert is fine.  We’re not at work.”
You invited him in.  Showed him where you put the extravagant floral arrangement he’d sent.  Eventually, minutes of conversation turned to hours, and hours turned to the sun tickling at his eyelids, rousing him from the upright position he’d slumbered in upon your couch.  Your head rests on his blanket covered lap while you get your much needed sleep.  All because you asked that he stay.  You didn’t want to be alone.
“After everything we’ve been through, I won’t simply leave you alone.”  Fresh tears brim in your eyes and he removes his palm, letting it trail down and rest against the side of your neck.  “Come with me.” Wesker urges.  “Let me keep you safe. Don’t go down with the others…”
The conflict in your eyes coupled with your lack of response devastates him more than you’d ever know.  He turns, grabs his bag, and makes his way through the humid nighttime air to the car.  He grips the wheel tight enough to crush indentations into it.  He waits.
And waits.
And waits.
He should’ve known it was only a pipe dream.  After what he’s done, there would be no going back to the old ways.  No more cake and coffee in his kitchen, no more sheepish smiles as you hand in your work, no more…  no more you.
“You’re afraid?”  He asks, doing all he can to keep the remorse from seeping into his voice.  He should’ve cut you loose last week like he planned.  Now you’ll be walking into hell itself for the sake of data collection and it’s all his fault.
“I just…” You try, pursing your lips as you think of the words.  “Bravo Team went missing out there.  That’s not– S.T.A.R.S members just up and vanishing?  I’m scared something really bad happened up there.”
He reaches across his desk, taking your hand in his and giving it a reassuring squeeze.  “No matter what happens, you’ll be okay.  I’ll make sure of it.”
He made his choice.
You made yours.
Wesker turns the key in the ignition and the engine sputters to life.  He fiddles with the seat once more to make it less uncomfortable than it had been on the ride back from the mountains.  In the rearview mirror, he can see the way his eyes glow.  Cat-like pupils stare back and accuse him of failure.  The tyrant, the restricted data, and–
The passenger door opens slowly.  His breath catches in his throat.  It’s like the whole world is moving in slow motion while you climb in and he can hardly believe his eyes.  In fact, he rubs them just to make sure.
“If we’re doing this,” you say warily, “I need to pick up a few things from home…”
Wesker can’t control the smile that spreads across his face.  Though he supposes now there’s no need.  Not anymore.

Tumblr media
September 26th, 1998, twilight. You were driving your car through the almost empty highway, raindrops hitting the windshield in a steady, hypnotic rhythm. The wipers struggled, barely keeping up with the heavy rain, each swipe leaving streaks of water that blurred your vision. They squeaked slightly, their worn-out rubber scraping against the glass, making it clear that they hadn't been replaced in a long time. "I really have to replace them," you murmured to yourself, the thought lingering in your mind.
Inside the car, the smell of stale coffee hung in the air, mingling with the faint scent of wet fabric from the umbrella tossed carelessly onto the passenger seat. The dashboard lights glowed a dull orange, casting a warm hue on your hands gripping the steering wheel. The soft hum of the engine was accompanied by the sound of music quietly playing through the radio—your favorite cassette, the one your girlfriend, Jill, made for you. Each song felt like she was there with you. Her presence somehow visible in the song's lyrics.
As you drove, your thoughts drifted back to why you were even on this lonely road. You had been forced to leave Raccoon City for a job that felt more like a necessity than a choice. It wasnt very far: an hour-long drive, and the offer to move for a work project was something you couldn't refuse. Your heart was heavy with worry for Jill. Ever since her last mission in the Arklay Mountains, she had been plagued by nightmares that haunted her every night. You felt like you were the only one who could comfort her—and it was true.
In just a few days, you both were supposed to leave Raccoon City and take a flight to Europe. Jill was determined to join her friend, Chris Redfield, and continue her search for evidence to take down Umbrella once and for all. While you knew you couldn’t help her with the mission, she needed your presence, your touch, and your reassuring words—and you needed hers just as much.
Few days after that, the radios and news were ablaze with reports of a strange pandemic. You and Jill had seen enough to know that the media often twisted the truth, which only deepened your worry for her. After everything she’d told you about the horrors of the Spencer Mansion, you feared that what was happening was far worse than a pandemic—so much worse. And you were right. Days turned into a blur as you tried to contact Jill, but each attempt was met with silence. You couldn’t even focus on your job anymore, consumed by anxiety.
Finally, at the beginning of October, she called. Raccoon City had been nuked, and she needed to tell you everything that had happened—but only if you came to her. She was staying in an old hotel not far from where you were, and without a second thought, you jumped into your car and drove there immediately. As you pulled into the nearly empty parking lot of the hotel, a mix of relief and anxiety washed over you. You were finally going to see her again. The building was tall, its brick exterior a mix of worn patches and faded paint, but it still exuded a certain charm. The sign above the entrance, though a bit weathered, glowed softly in the evening light, inviting weary travelers inside. As you stepped into the lobby, the air was filled with the faint scent of old wood and cleaning supplies. The reception desk, manned by a friendly clerk, stood proudly in the center, while mismatched furniture created a cozy, if slightly dated, atmosphere. Soft music played in the background, and the walls were adorned with photographs and knick-knacks that added character to the space.
"Room 128," she told you. You made your way there and knocked, the sound of your fingers hitting the door echoing through the quiet corridor. When Jill opened it, you immediately wrapped your arms around her, and she clung to you just as tightly, seeking comfort in your embrace.
“Jill, I was so worried about you. The media was saying—” you started, but she silenced you with a kiss, soft yet desperate, as if to convey all her unspoken fears. As you pulled away, you looked into her eyes—the same ones you fell in love with the first time you gazed into them. But now, they seemed heavy with sorrow. You could feel her pain radiating from her, and it made your heart ache. You were ready to listen to her every word.
“Let’s go out to the balcony,” she suggested. As you stepped outside, a cool breeze enveloped you, ruffling Jill’s hair and filling your lungs with the crisp night air. You leaned against the railing, taking in the breathtaking view of the forest silhouetted against the setting sun, the vibrant colors fading into shades of twilight. The beauty of the moment was almost surreal, a stark contrast to the turmoil in your hearts.
Jill took a deep breath, her voice trembling as she spoke. “This... thing... it’s been hunting me, and I’ve lost so many people.” She paused, her gaze falling to the ground before meeting your eyes again. Her hand reached yours. “But at least... you’re here.” Her hand felt cold in yours, and you squeezed it tightly, wanting to share your warmth with her. “Always, Jill. Always for you,” you promised, your voice steady but filled with emotion.
“I just want to end Umbrella, you know? So no one will ever have to live through that nightmare again.” She looked at you, her vulnerability shining through. You settled next to her, resting your head on her shoulder, feeling the weight of her burden. “So… you’re joining Redfield in Europe?” you asked softly, and she nodded, a mix of determination and weariness in her expression.
As she recounted everything that had happened in Raccoon City, the weight of her words hung in the air. You could see the exhaustion etched into her features, the toll that the last weeks had taken on her. After the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in deep hues of indigo, both of you eventually retreated inside, curling up together in the bed.
“Whatever you decide, I’m with you,” you whispered gently, wanting her to know she wasn’t alone in this fight. A soft smile spread across her face. “I know,” she replied, her voice barely above a whisper, before taking your hand and placing a tender kiss on it. As she drifted into sleep, you watched her calm features, finally at peace for the first time in a long while. Feeling the weight of the moment settle around you, your own eyes grew heavy, and you surrendered to sleep beside her, comforted by the connection you shared.
But a few hours later, you felt Jill stir beside you, her breathing uneven as she woke from a troubled dream. You turned to her, immediately sensing her distress. “Jill, hey, it’s okay. I’m here,” you murmured, reaching out to gently stroke her hair, grounding her in the moment.
She blinked slowly, her gaze finding yours, and for a moment, you could see the remnants of her nightmares flickering behind her eyes. “I… I’m sorry I woke you,” she whispered, her voice trembling.
“Don’t be. You don’t have to apologize for anything. Just tell me what you need,” you said, pulling her closer, wanting to shield her from the darkness that lingered.
With a shaky breath, she started to share the fragments of her nightmare, but as the shadows of fear loomed, you gently shifted the conversation. “Remember that time we got caught in the rain on our way back from that movie? You were so mad at me for forgetting the umbrella, but we ended up laughing so hard when we arrived soaked to the bone?”
A small smile broke through Jill’s anxious expression, and she chuckled softly. “How could I forget? You said we looked like a couple of drowned rats.”
“And we definitely did.” you added, joining in her laughter. “And you insisted on making hot cocoa when we got home, but we both ended up burning our tongues because we were too eager to drink it.”
Jill’s laughter filled the room, and for that moment, it felt as if the weight of the world had lifted just a little. “I think you were the one who was too eager!” she retorted, her eyes sparkling with laughter.
“Okay, I’ll admit I may have gotten a bit too excited, but who can blame me? You make everything better,” you replied, squeezing her hand and leaning in to kiss her forehead.
The two of you spent the rest of the night sharing stories of silly moments from your relationship, from the time you both dressed up in ridiculous costumes for Halloween to the day you attempted to cook dinner together, resulting in a kitchen disaster. Each memory was a thread, weaving warmth into the fabric of the night and allowing you both to escape the harsh reality that awaited.
Eventually, Jill’s laughter subsided into soft breaths, and you felt her relax against you, finally finding solace in your embrace. As you both drifted back into sleep, the shadows that haunted her dreams began to fade, replaced by the light of your shared memories, bringing a sense of peace to your restless hearts.

vamp! wesker with vampire hunter reader and everytime reader tries killing him hes such a flirt..
reader trying to plunge a stake into him and he just shakes his head at them, discarding the little thing, commenting on how his favourite hunter should really know better.
“Oh dearheart, did you really think that would work?”
and everytime they fight, vamp! wesker is such a slut. This guy pins reader down and sneaks bites out of their neck, their neck littered with past scars and bite marks due to how frequent this bastard does it. Pressing his entire weight on you, the position itself leaving you red-faced and embarassed and honestly a little horny.
He can’t help himself though, yours in particular, your blood just tastes so divine to him. It’d be foolish to waste that by killing you, of course. Totally not because he feels anything for you, if he even can.
18+ mdni - suggestive, gn!reader
the very fist time you encountered vamp!wesker was horrifying. he's like dracula-level famous - a legend in the Arklay Mountains, a beast who eats children and locks up innocent villagers in his mansion to eat them later or turn them into his personal army.
you didn't believe any of this, of course. most vampires are cocky and frankly dumb, which is how you rose to "fame" as a talented hunter in the first place. you weren't even out hunting that night, actually just spending time alone in wilderness to clear your head. you were lucky to have brought your gear along - just in case, because now you're pinned to the ground beneath a massive figure.
you know it's a vamp immediately, the nauseating smell of blood is obvious, but you're surprised to feel warm where you're pinned in the dirt. whoever is above you is wearing a thick cloak, and you have a fleeting thought that this feels like being in bed with a lover- what the fuck?
your emotions are jumbled and rapidly cycling between fear and frustration and a bit of arousal (grappling beneath someone is sexy, you can't deny it) until the vamp pulls away just enough for you to see his striking eyes. this is Wesker. undeniably, this is Albert Wesker.
bright blue eyes covered with a sheen of some red glow make them almost purple when the moonlight isn't blinding you. he's chuckling as you struggle in his grip. you're not weak by any means, which tells you he's MUCH stronger than anything you've killed before. he's pinned your wrists together above your head and your thighs to the ground, his legs nestled neatly along your hips.
he's quite literally straddling you like a lover, laughing in your face and rubbing his nose under your jaw. he's sniffing like an eager puppy and scraping his teeth over the column of your throat - he's playing with his meal
despite all your best tricks, he only pulls away after taking a hefty chunk of skin off your left shoulder. he sits up and rises to his feet, smiling down at you while he licks his fangs clean.
"Wonderful to meet you, dear heart." His voice is just as captivating as his eyes. "You'll have to try a little harder next time, hm? I need my favorite meal to keep my on toes, after all."
you're left gaping after him while he strolls away without a care in the world. you should be chasing him, sprinting after him to stake his heart with everything you have - the one hunter who bested the Arklay Monster.
instead your jaw is dropped while you pant through the aching bite on your shoulder. as he disappears through the trees, all you can think of is to buy better hunting clothes next time.

ayooo I made this like a year ago and posted it on my original blog, I thought I'd post it here cause why not lol?

I've loved the RE games for a while now, but recently I realized I didn't know the lore that well.
Now, there are plenty of thorough videos online that lay out the lore of the games, but my silly little brain has a hard time following along. So I wrote it out in a way that made sense to me.
I haven't played all the games myself, so if something is incorrect, I’m sorry. Additionally, I left some content out to keep it as simple and comprehensible as possible!

RESIDENT EVIL CHARACTER LINK
Mother Miranda lives in an Eastern European village. In 1919 the Spanish flu claimed her only daughter. In a state of depression, Mother Miranda finds herself deep within a cave network underneath her village, hoping to find the sweet relief of death and be with her daughter once more. This is where she discovers a unique mold (a form of mutamycete) with regenerative properties. She spends the next several decades researching the mold in hopes of using it to reincarnate her daughter.
In 1951, a British medical student by the name of Oswald E. Spencer discovered Mother Miranda’s research. He basically becomes very interested in the human genome and goes off on his own to run his own experiments for the next few years.
In 1962 Oswald E. Spencer hired a man named George Trevor to build him a mansion in the Arklay Mountains, so he could continue his research privately.
Later, Oswald E. Spencer joins forces with two other men, James Marcus, and Edward Ashferd. The trio sets off to Africa to find a unique flower, the  “Stairway to the Sun”, which has regenerative properties. Using this flower, the men synthesize the Progenitor Virus.
In 1968, Oswald E. Spencer, James Marcus, and Edward Ashferd, co-founded Umbrella Corp.  This “pharmaceutical company” was really just a front for their viral bioweapon research.
Tumblr media
Above is the Umbrella Corp. Emblem
Shortly afterward, Edward Ashferd gets frustrated with his two partners and moves to Antarctica where he starts up his own Umbrella research labs. Oswald E. Spencer dislikes this and has Edward Ashferd injected with the Progenitor Virus, killing him.
Oswald E. Spencer is working on Project W.  where he kidnaps children and injects them with the Progenitor Virus, in hopes of building a race of loyal superhuman soldiers. All of the test subjects die, except for one, Albert Wesker.
In 1987, James Marcus and his assistants William Birkin and Albert Wesker created the T-Virus, by combining leech DNA with the Progenitor Virus. Shortly after this, the facility gets shut down(?), and the trio moves back to Oswald E. Spencer’s lab in the Arklay Mountains.
Back at the Arklay Umbrella lab, William Birkin discovers that ~10% of the population is naturally immune to their viruses. So he created Bio Organic Weapons (BOWs). His work with BOW’s is refined into making specific BOW’s, aka Tyrants.
(Late 1998) James Marcus is working with his own strand of the T-Virus, and he creates his “Queen Leech”. Oswald E. Spencer dislikes this as well and tries to kill James Marcus. This attempt fails. James Marcus’s body along with his Queen Leech are dumped into a sewage area, where the Queen Leech eats James Marcus’s body, and absorbs his consciousness. This sort of reincarnates James Marcus.
In the 1990s, Umbrella expanded, and Oswald E. Spencer commissioned a new lab facility to be constructed underneath Raccoon City.
(William Birkin created the G-Virus around this time.)
In 1996, S.T.A.R.S (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) was created. It is technically under Raccoons Cities jurisdiction, but it's privately funded by Umbrella Corp. so they can have control over it. Albert Wesker gets assigned as Captain to the S.T.A.R.S Alpha team.
In 1998, Rebbeca Chambers stumbled across a train wreck filled with James Marcus’s infected leeches. She ends up finding, and killing the Queen Leech (remember James Marcus’s consciousness is intertwined with the Queen Leech).
(Still 1988) S.T.A.R.S Alpha team is on a mission. Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield discover Umbrella Corp.’s experiments and learn that Albert Wesker is a traitor. They fight, and Albert Wesker injects himself with the T-Virus, and escapes.
Raccoon City’s water supply is contaminated with the T-Virus. This infects the whole town and turns them into zombies. Umbrella uses this situation to test out their new BOW, a Tyrant named Nemesis.  Nemesis targets Jill Valentine. With the help of Carlos Oliviera, they escape the Tyrant and Raccoon City before it is nuked so the virus doesn't spread.
At the same time, there's a girl by the name of Claire, she's searching for her brother Chris Redfield in Raccoon City.
(All you need to know is through RE from here on out, she keeps searching for her brother and getting into dangerous situations where different viruses are present.)
Anyway, Claire meets Leon Kennedy, and they go to the Raccoon City Police Department (RPD). The two get separated and Leon Kennedy finds the G-Virus. He meets a woman named Ada Wong, an independent mercenary who's trying to get her hands on the  G-Virus, and sell it. (She actually does this). Claire and Leon Kennedy escape Raccoon City through a sewer before it’s nuked.
It's now 2004, Leon Kennedy was deployed to a village in Spain to rescue the U.S. president's daughter who was kidnapped. The village is plagued by the Las Plagas Virus, which has something to do with the Los Illuminados Cult. Ada Wong shows up and grabs a sample of the Las Plagas Virus to sell to Albert Wesker. Leon Kennedy saves the president's daughter, defeats the Los Illuminados, and escapes the island.
(2006) Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine find Oswald E. Spencer’s location, and they go to his house. When they get there, they find Albert Wesker had just killed Oswald E. Spencer. (This is cause Wesker found out he was the product of Project W).
Basically, Albert Wesker kidnaps Jill Valentine for a while and uses her as his test subject/mind-controlled dummy. (Eventually, she breaks free from Albert Wesker's mind-control)
Around this time, the B.S.A.A. was created. The Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance. (This is because bioweapons are being made worldwide)

Albert Wesker moves on and tries to make West Africa a diseased wasteland. Chris Redfield and the B.S.A.A. team up to go to stop him. This is where they discover the Uroboros Virus. (This is an RNA virus in the Progenitor family. It was engineered by Albert Wesker). Chris Redfeild and the B.S.A.A successfully kills Albert Wesker.
In 2012, there was this thing called the C-Virus, which can mutate bodies while keeping their consciousness. For a while Umbrella Corp.'s was under some heat, but they revived themselves as “Neo Umbrella”. Neo Umbrella unleashes the C-Virus (in China?) and basically, Raccoon City happens all over again.
There is this crime syndicate called “The Connections”. They strike a deal with Mother Miranda, she gives them her mold and the DNA of her daughter hoping they would help revive her. The Connections use the E-Type Mutamycete mold to create bioweapons out of children.  This gave birth to the genetically modified human Eveline, who had mind-controlling and regenerative powers. The B.S.A.A. caught wind of this, and The Connections loaded a research team with Eveline onto a cargo boat to ship her somewhere safer. Eveline infected the whole cargo ship with her mold, killing everyone except Eveline's direct handler, a researcher named Mia Winters.
The cargo ship wreckage landed somewhere along the coast of Dulvey Parish, Louisiana. An old man by the name of Jack Baker found Eveline and Mia Winters and took the two back to his house to take care of them. Eveline infected the whole Baker family.
Mia Winters sends an email to her husband, Ethan Winters. He drives to Dulvey Parish, Louisiana to save his wife. Unfortunately, Ethan Winters gets killed pretty quickly, but he gets revived by Eve’s mold. Eveline turns into a big mold monster, and Ethan Winters does his best to fight it, until Chris Redfield comes in and saves the day.
Fast forward a few years, Ethan and Mia Winters have a baby named Rosemary (Rose) Winters. Somehow Mother Miranda finds out about this and decides that Rose Winters is the perfect candidate to use to resurrect her daughter. So Mother Miranda kidnaps Rose and Mia Winters and brings them back to her old Eastern European village. Ethan Winters goes to save his family. He fights a bunch of Mother Miranda's experiments (i.e. Lady Dimitrescu, Heisenberg, Lycans, Dona Beneviento, etc...), and eventually, Chris Redfield comes to try and save the day again. But Ethan Winters sacrifices himself for his family and blows up the whole village.
Fast forward again, it's 2037. Rose Winters is a teenager now, and she has Mutamycete mold powers. She hates that she's different, and wants to get rid of them. She is told if she enters the Mutamycete mold’s consciousness, she might find a way to rid herself of these powers. Now everyone who's ever been in contact with the Mutamycete mold is trapped/a part of the mold consciousness. Inside, she fights off Mother Miranda one last time, meets her father, and then decides to keep her mold powers.

Again, I did leave some games/content out, but I hope this was enjoyable and/or useful and easy enough to understand!

Resident Evil Bot dump #7
Quick side note - the comments feature was just added to c.ai so I have made a bot of myself where requests can be made using the new feature!
Maccaroni
The comments should be on the actual character profile/ settings. Feel free to leave any feedback whether is criticism or any adjustments I need to make to older bots (some definitely need some editing). Comments as well as the like and dislike button should be available for all of my existing bots. Anyway, onto the actual Resident Evil bots <3
Ada Wong x Reader (Christmas)
Ada was never one for cold weather, but that doesn’t stop her from appreciating the snowflakes that dance in the icy air. She sits by the windowsill cradling a mug of hot chocolate in her hands while gazing at the city streets, now covered in a thick blanket of snow. Out of the corner of her eye she can see your reflection in the window, walking around the living room which is decorated with ornaments, all illuminated by the flickering flames of the fireplace.
Android!Ada Wong x Reader
There has been a recent rise in deviant cases in the city. More and more androids break the walls of their programming, rebelling against their creators in an act of free will. You’ve been assigned to a new case on a deviant AW200 unit or “Ada” according to the previous owner. The last reported sighting of the unit was in the heart of the city, now being pummelled by heavy rain. It’s difficult to make out any faces among the sea of umbrellas and raincoat hoods. That is until you see a familiar red dress and black shoulder length hair pass by in the corner of your eye. Before you could even turn to face her fully, she has already broken out into a sprint through the busy streets.
Ada Wong x Reader (Haunted House)
Ada continues to venture through eerie rooms of the haunted attraction with an amused expression after watching you get jumpscared for the 6th time so far. “You’re right, this is pretty fun.” Ada muses, her eyes quickly darting to the slight gap in one of the wooden boards nailed onto the windows. A small smirk tugs at the corner of her lips, knowing that there’s probably another scare actor waiting behind it, ready to give the next unlucky person a fright. Is she going to warn you about it? Not in a million years.
Chris Redfield x Reader (Christmas)
While you decorated the house, you gave your partner the job of getting a Christmas tree to fit in your living room. What you didn’t anticipate was Chris now grappling with a colossal tree, struggling and wrestling with the huge conifer while the branches scrape against the door frame and leave a trail of pine needles in their wake. “So… I may have… over estimated… the size of our house…” Chris pants, his expression sheepish as he takes a moment to wipe the sweat off his brow. If it weren’t for the fact that the branches are knocking things off the cabinets and the pictures on the walls, you’d consider Chris’ determination comical.
Scare Actor!Chris Redfield x Reader
You and your friends decided it would be a great idea to check out the Spencer Mansion. A new haunted attraction that just opened in the Arklay forest trails. It was a great idea until you got separated from your friends. Now you roam the dimly lit labyrinth of the mansion, each step echoes through the corridor, the floorboards groaning beneath your weight. Lightning slashes through the windows, illuminating fleeting glimpses of your silhouette dancing across the walls. Blood splatters have been painted on the floorboards and the walls and you can spot some prop ghosts dangling from the ceiling, reassuring you that this is just some spooky attraction. That is until lightning flashes again and instead of seeing one shadow. You see two. A much taller shadow behind you at the bend of the corridor…
Chris Redfield x Reader (Haunted House)
Another ghoulish prop lurches forward in front of you while navigating the eerie corridors of the haunted attraction. Instead of being met with screams, Chris merely chuckles and points at the prop mockingly. “A green zombie? You’ve got to be kidding me.” You weren’t sure what you were expecting when bringing a special forces officer who has literally dealt with the undead before to a scare house, but Chris’ witty commentary has turned what was supposed to be a spine chilling experience into a comedic adventure.
Claire Redfield x Reader (Christmas)
“Come on, {{user}} Let’s check out this stall over here.” Claire chatters excitedly, her eyes twinkling with joy as she leads you through the bustling markets. The air is alive with the scent of cinnamon and roasted chestnuts, and colourful stalls offered an array of handmade crafts, ranging from ornaments to knitwear as well as tacky souvenirs.
Claire Redfield x Reader (Haunted House)
A nice outing to a spooky haunted mansion sounds easy enough, right? You follow a path, people jumpscare you as you go from one room to the next. Unfortunately due to Claire’s often insatiable curiosity, the two of you have wound up in a forbidden part of the house, reserved for the staff and scare actors. “You reckon this is where they keep their old props?” Claire asks with a mischievous glint in her eyes after picking up a box containing several weathered skeleton masks and fake severed heads.
RE:8!Ethan Winters x Spouse!Reader
Ethan, his face etched with a mix of anguish and determination, stand by the eerie alter, clutching a jar containing the severed head of your daughter Rose. The desolate surroundings mirror the weight of the burden the two of you share. Especially after just facing the unspeakable horrors inside of Castle Dimitrescu. You’ve already watched your husband’s hand get sliced off, only for the mysterious Duke to tell the two of you that you’re going to have to face the rest of the lords to save your daughter.
Ethan Winters x Reader (Christmas + Rose)
“Could you pass me another bauble, love?” Your lover asks while delicately wrapping the tree around in sparkly silver tinsel. Much like the tree, the house is adorned in festive decorations. Fairy lights illuminate your abode in a warm glow while stockings hang by the fireplace which is covered in fake snow. Frank Sinatra can be heard playing in the living room, adding to warm ambience. Rose’s giggles and coos cut through your daydream and you turn to see her sat on the floor, playing and attempting to eat the Santa hat Ethan had put on her.
Ethan Winters x Reader (Haunted House)
Ethan shudders at the sight of all the spiders scuttling and crawling on the walls, his grip on your hand tightening slightly while you make your way into the next room. As you step inside you are immediately greeted by a man in a bloodied clown costume lunging at the two of you with an axe while screaming in your face. “Damn that’s a nice costume. Is that real?” Ethan chuckles and reaches out to touch the prop axe in amusement. Ironically enough, your partner seems to be more afraid of the bugs that reside here than the actual horror experience of the attraction.
Leon Kennedy x Reader (Christmas)
Leon lounges on the couch, wrapped up in a cosy blanket with his gaze fixed on the screen. Strings of tacky ornaments decorate the living room, twinkling in the soft glow of the fairy light and the bright embers of the fireplace. The two of you are currently watching a Hallmark Christmas movie, its usual predictable plotline unfolding with exaggerated cheeriness and a cheesy message. Leon always tells you that he watches these things ironically, but the subtle grin says enough about his guilty pleasure of cliché romances and festive tropes.
Leon Kennedy x Reader (Haunted House)
“Haunted house? Please… I’ve seen scarier things while out on patrol.” Leon mumbles to himself, his eyes darting back and forth between the flickering lights and the shadows on the walls. You can’t tell if he is trying to reassure you or himself. Regardless, you continue your journey through the haunted house with Leon’s arm slung over your shoulders to "protect you" from the spooky zombies and clowns that roam these dimly lit rooms. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that Leon’s cocky and self assured attitude is all a front to hide his racing heart and sweaty palms.

26 years ago today, S.T.A.R.S Alpha Team were dispatched to the Arklay mansion to investigate Bravo Team’s disappearance following a series of cannibalistic murders. Over the course of that night, all but 4 (5 if you count the helicopter pilot) elite team members involved are killed (sometimes more than once), and the survivors’s lives are changed forever as they dedicate themselves to the fight against bioterrorism.

resident evil oc headcanons because they’ve been rotting in my notes app for the past week and I need somewhere to dump it:
Jordan Manalang:
• Is the older twin by around 10 minutes, Jordan holds this over Jaiden’s head a ton. I like to think they’re both really mischievous and cause a ton of trouble at RPD with the Chris, Joseph and Forest troupe, they’re often spotted arguing or making fun of eachother.
• Insert that one Boondocks clip of Huey getting Riley to say that he’s gay. Jordan is Huey coded and Jaiden is Riley coded.
• Very superstitious and just loves anything related to the morbid or the macabre.
• I like to think Jordan’s natural hair is more curly like Jaiden’s. Unfortunately she straightens her hair every day, it’s just easier for her. Wesker hates this and likes playing with her waves.
• Loves music a ton and can play guitar, I like to think her and Wesker sing a lot together in their spare time, only she’ll ever be able to hear that from him, his singing voice is very similar to Frank Sinatra’s. Junior knows how to play guitar because of her and she hogs the mic during karaoke. I like to think she can dance too.
• I headcanon her voice to be akin to the likes of Uma Thurman, very raspy and sultry, you can hear the maturity in her voice.
• I forgot to put this in the Jordsker headcanon post, but I think another one of their pasttimes would be stargazing. Jordan points out the constellations she thinks are pretty while Wesker goes on a huge ramble about whichever myth or story corresponds to said constellation. Her freckles remind him of the stars.
• Practicing Christian, prays before every case that Alpha Team is sent out to investigate.
• I’m still on the fence of her whereabouts during Re2-3 but for now I think she moved out of Raccoon City after the Arklay Incident and after her recovery. I think she cleaned out whatever was in Wesker’s desk at the S.T.A.R.S. office and cussed Irons out before taking her leave. Wesker was no longer there with them and I think after S.T.A.R.S. disband she had no more incentive to stay, it would’ve made her grieving process harder anyway.
• I think I brought it up once or twice in my past artworks but Jordan was shot by Wesker while inside of the mansion, she was getting in the way. She has a metal plate installed near her right temple as a result and experiences chronic headaches.
• Besides Jackie, Chris and Barry are Jordan’s best friends at S.T.A.R.S. Wesker hates this and does not like how close she is with Chris, subtly tries to control her by making remarks about him in an attempt to make her see Chris in a different light.
• I think she’s close with Jill and Rebecca too as a trio, women in male-dominated fields stick together. However unlike the latter friendships Jordan sees Rebecca as her third kid whereas she sees Jill as a bad ass little sister who needs to get smacked sometimes.
• Campaign wise during Re1 I think she’d be with Wesker obviously but spend most of her time alone in the mansion since he’s off “investigating”, nothing suspicious here.
• MBTI is ENTP
Jaiden Manalang:
• Very much a playboy and is every woman’s nightmare. Is very superficial and takes care of himself a ton, he’s very keen on self-discipline and plans his day accordingly, including things such as a very strict workout regiment or a 12 step skin-care routine. He has no issue getting dates with women, however his behaviour is what drives them away, Jaiden is by no means a bad guy, he’s very loving and sweet however he is an extremely clingy and jealous person, this attitude causing many girls to take their leave. He longs for a relationship and a family for himself and is somewhat envious of his sister’s “success” with her relationship. Filipino men are EVIL.
• Speaking of women, Jaiden has been trying to chase Jill ever since they met and so far has been extremely unsuccessful, he also flirts with the RPD Secretary. Human Resources hates him.
• Prior to the Arklay Incident, I think Jaiden tried to form a brotherly bond with Wesker, the two having more of a love/hate relationship. He thought Wesker was a good fit for Jordan, he was rich, treated Jordan well and was overall a gentleman. I think initially Wesker put up with him for the sake of Jordan but then started to grow fond of the man, you’ll never get this out of him though. Matter of fact, you won’t get either of them to acknowledge their mutual respect for each other. On more boring days at the S.T.A.R.S. office, you can spot the two throwing a football back and forth in the RPD parking lot. After Arklay, Jaiden absolutely hates his guts and shittalks Wesker at any opportunity.
• Toronto-man accent. Will not elaborate I’m just projecting onto him.
• I am horrible at drawing it but Jaiden’s hair is on the curly side, parts of his hair range from 2a to 2c.
• Like Jordan, Jaiden sees Rebecca as his child and assumes the role of an “Uncle” for her. I like to think they cross paths at some point during the mansion incident and Jaiden tries to protect her. Takes the brunt of any attacks from the undead, by the end of it he’s all scuffed and cut up.
• During Re2-3, He’s with Jill. Absolutely hates Carlos’ guts (sorry Jaiden unfortunately you’re the dollar store version of him)
• I think campaign-wise during Re1 he’d be paired with Forest or Enrico. Within the Bravo team I like to think him and Enrico are like how Chris is with Wesker, a Captain and his right-hand man. Enrico keeps Jaiden grounded whereas Jaiden’s laid-back presence helps to ease Enrico’s tension when it comes to missions.
• He’s actually much much smarter than he looks and actually exceeds Jordan in intelligence, unfortunately nobody takes him seriously because of his rambunctious attitude so everyone thinks hes the local idiot. Everyone referred to him and Jordan as “Dumb and Dumber” at the S.T.A.R.S. office, guess who was referred to as “dumber”. (Other nicknames for the twins included things like “Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum”, etc.)
• MBTI is ESTP
Alvina Wesker:
• HUGE daddy’s girl. As the first-born, she was spoiled a ton by Wesker growing up and he’d get her anything her little heart wanted, they’d have to sneak around Jordan and promise eachother not to tell her otherwise she’d get pissed.
• Prefrontal cortex started developing wayyy too early. After Wesker left them, Jordan had to take on extra work to provide for the family, leaving Alvina to basically help raise Junior, the stress of it all making her brain mature much, much faster and take on responsibilities a kid her age really shouldn’t have.
• As a result of this, I like to think Alvina and Junior are extremely close despite the age gap between them, she’s always looking out for her little brother.
• Suffers from Golden-Child Syndrome, she’s seen as the “good” one and is held at a much higher standard than Junior. Alvina is very much an overachiever because of this however it takes a massive toll on her psyche, if she fails to be the “best” at something it causes her to breakdown and question her worth, what if she can’t really do this? you won’t amount to anything with a 4.5 gpa. Self-loathing thoughts like these are common and she fears having to face her parents when their expectations aren’t met. Deep, deep respect towards parental figures is a huge Asian ideology that is ingrained into Alvina and she tries her best to honour their wishes, despite some of them being theirs and not her personal wants.
• Valedictorian of course!
• I like to think her voice is a mix of Marceline’s from Adventure time and Maya Hawke’s if that makes sense.
• When she was younger, her and Junior were enrolled into a ton of activities to make them as skilled as possible. They were both enrolled into dance, Junior Hiphop with Alvina doing ballet, as she got older I think she switched to Hip-hop and it’s one of her favourite activities, Junior on the other hand stopped going when Jordan stopped forcing them to go and only retained some fundementals.
• Lanky as fuck, I think she’s pretty tall because of Wesker’s genes standing at around like 5’10-5’11.
• As for sports she plays basketball obviously every Filipino got that superpower, however I also think she’d be a soccer kid, just a feeling.
• Junior’s a cultured skater kid but Alvina’s vibe is more of like a down-town girl/clean girl aesthetic. Definitely makes you turn your head when you walk past her on the street, someone you’d compliment their outfit on when sitting next to on the bus or in the girls washroom.
• Like Junior, she can play an instrument but only Bass. She’s very average at it and can only really play some songs from memory, the rest you gotta pull up tabs or sheet music for.
• MBTI is ISTJ
“Junior” Raphael Wesker:
• Although he pursued film, he loves music and dabbles in it as a hobby. Can freestyle, sing and plays several instruments. (Guitar, Piano, Drums.) I think what contributed to it was the fact that Jordan picked up on this when he was still really young, did what every single Filipino parent did and enrolled him into singing and piano lessons in hopes of transforming him into like the next Beyoncé or something. Pulling a 6 year old Junior into every single karaoke motive at family functions is Jordan’s favourite party trick.
• Absolutely smitten with Sherry it’s not even funny, I think growing up she had like the “girl next door” vibe since she was older, being Alvina’s age.
• Alvina and Sherry are the only people that refer to Junior as “Raphael”, (“Rafa” or “Raf” as nicknames) completely breaking off the tie that he has to Wesker due to their shared first names, an act that is done in respect of Junior’s wishes. He hates his first name and the fact that he’s forever tied to the evil deadbeat, so he’d rather be called anything else besides Albert. “Junior” as a nickname still ties him to Wesker, so the use of his middle name gives him his own sense of self.
• Takes after Jordan, he reminds her of her when she was younger, it’s scary how much he mirrors her. It’s not a surprise though, Junior has always looked up to her.
• Since Jordan and Barry are close friends, it’s only natural for their children to be close too. Junior and Moira are friends and like to go run around disturbing the peace, activities like graffiti, lighting things on fire, typical stupid teenager things. They both bond over their shared feelings on father figures however every so often, Junior gets annoyed. He understands her feelings about Barry but is somewhat envious of her situation, atleast she still has a father.
• Like I said before, I imagine his voice headcanon to be like Tyler, the Creators. Very deep like Wesker’s crooning voice, however lacking the posh sound, being a much more rougher and juvenile tone.
• Just as smart as Alvina, was going to pursue Comp-Sci prior to film but decided against it last minute as he believed he would regret his decision of passing up pursuing a passion he loved. Also he’s just a huge burn-out and doesn’t like to work. Bare minimum kind of guy.
• MBTI is INFP, however I think he’s an Ambivert. When he’s with fellow introverts he becomes the extrovert of the group and vice versa.

oh okay, you're out to kill me I see 😭
this made me think of a post Arklay Mansion Incident situation. maybe wesker's partner (we'll go with an x reader concept) survived and he knows that they know what he did. or, even worse, maybe they were there for the final confrontation and had to watch him be impaled by the tyrant.
not only did he lose their trust and love, but now they have to mourn him. and maybe it's better that way. maybe it's better that they think he's gone.
it's easier to forgive the dead for their sins.
maybe he watches from afar, checking in occasionally on how their life is going because he hasn't been able to let go. he sees how they've closed themselves off from the world. they've become cold and distant. there's less joy in their eyes, even when they're happy... and that will always be his fault.
he cannot restore the light he took from them.
