Shrutakarma Headcanons
My last reblog inspired me to finally post this.
He is the youngest of Droupadi's children. He was born a year after Arjun returned from his exile.
As a result, he also has a large age gap from his brothers. He is eight years younger than Prativindhya. The only ones younger than him are Abhimanyu, Niramitra and Sarvaga.
Shrutakarma has his parents' complexion, but his facial features resemble Dhrishtadyumna a lot.
He is the closest to Droupadi's mother. She practically raised him, since he was only seven when the game of dice happened.
As a child, Shrutakarma was a bubbly, clingy child. The separation from his parents changed it forever.
Shrutakarma's favorite brother is Ghatotkacha. *cue sad Prativindhya noises*.
Shrutakarma is the shortest of Arjun's sons.
His secret hobby is painting. He will never tell anyone about it.
Shrutakarma never really liked fighting, even when he was good at it. It makes him feel extremely guilty, but not guilty enough to actually fight actively. He just practices enough to keep his skills polished enough.
Shrutakarma's favorite food is anything spicy.
Shrutakarma loves the sea. As a result, he has always enjoyed visitng Abhimanyu and Subhadra in Dvaraka.
Abhimanyu always sneaks into his bedroom the night before his birthday.
Shrutakarma enjoys making pharmaceutical substances and poisons. Especially poisons.
To prevent fighting too much, Shrutakarma's weapons were always laced with poison, during the Kurukshetra war.
Due to his trauma post the game of dice, he went inside his shell, rarely speaking. He also hates any type of physical contact.
Droupadi hugged him when she met him for the first time after 13 years, and he went absolutely rigid. He felt so guilty after seeing her confused expression.
Abhimanyu drags him around to all interesting activities. He acts as if he hates it. He does not.
Shrutakarma rarely cries.
Shrutakarma loves swimming. It is one of the few activities he enjoys. He also loves reading. History is one of his favorite topics to read about.
Shrutakarma loved meeting Iravana. Finally, someone who enjoys poisons as much as he do.
He is disappointed upon learning that Iravana, infact, has never poisoned anyone before.
Abhimanyu drags him to play slide on Iravan's tail. Shrutakarma, as always, begrudgingly joins, but enjoys it.
He has a breakdown when Abhimanyu dies. He silently feels that it should have been he, he who is antisocial, who never talks to anyone, instead of his joyful, beloved baby brother.
Arjun keeps Shrutakarma in the end part of the formation for each day after Abhimanyu dies. Arjun does it to protect his remaining son, Shrutakarma feels that he does it because Arjun does not wish to see him anymore.
Shrutakarma woke up to see Shatanika and Sutasoma dead. Prativindhya had tried to shield Shrutakarma with his own body, but had ended up being beheaded in one swoop.
Shrutakarma's arms were chopped, and his torso was almost split away from the lower half of his body. His own dagger, which he had received as a gift was lodged in his right eye. It's what kills him.
By the time Arjun arrived, the entire camp was burnt down. Shrutakarma and his brothers will always stay together, even in death, for their ashes are mixed with each other's.

So, I'm going to rant a bit about Krishna and Arjun now.
**Just a note: this is based on my personal interpretations of MB/SB/HV, none of which I have access to right now, so I might misremember some facts. Thank you!
So, in my understanding, Krishna and Arjun were both very lonely people. Both of them were stripped from their childhood homes and families, and forced to grow up amidst hostility and constant conflict, when they met after Draupadi's swayamvar, they instantly latch on to each other. I mean, yes, both Krishna and Arjun had brothers who went through the same kind of issues, but at some point, you encounter a boundary with your immediate family, such that you can't really tell them everything that you're feeling. A friend peering in from outside is a much 'safer' choice. I'd imagine it's roughly the same kind of thought process that makes people talk about their personal struggles anonymously on social media instead of with their families.
In this process, they both also become extremely possessive of each other. For Arjun, we see this when he sheds all his inhibitions at Kurukshetra not when he hears the Geeta, but rather when Krishna gets wounded the first time. That's when the Kaurava side finds out exactly how dangerous Arjuna can be. And that's when Krishna is barely scratched by an arrow, and thankfully we never find out what Arjun would have done if Krishna actually got hurt. Arjun was fighting only half-heartedly in the beginning, but once Krishna is targeted he becomes fiercer, now actually concentrating on the battle, and then finally when Krishna almost murders Bheeshma, that's when Arjun becomes fully activated, so to speak. Also, he would've totally murdered Shishupal during the rajasuya (to hell with the 100 offences), if not for Krishna stopping him...this is a rare kind of aggression for Arjun which he doesn't show even in the dice hall!
Krishna, on the other hand, shows his devotion in a slightly different way. So, for most of MB we see that he is partial to Arjuna, and he never really hides it. He gets Subhadra married to Arjuna, takes him on picnics on Kailash and shows him Vaikuntha just for fun. Moreover, he technically didn't need to participate in Kurukshetra. With Subhadra married to Arjun and Lakshamana married to Shamba, he could've easily cited an algebraic cancellation and got out of the whole mess like most of the other Yadavas. But he chooses to go to Matsya, and moreover offers to part himself from his beloved, personally trained army! I mean it was kind of genius to bait Duryodhan into thinking he won that bargain (if Shakuni mama was there, he would've definitely chosen Krishna, and immediately have him thrown in a dungeon and use him as a hostage to force the Pandavas into surrendering)!
Krishna is not just partial to Arjuna, but he is downright desperate to protect him from anything and everything. From personally waiting on Arjuna in Dwarka during happier times, to breaking every moral code he's ever stood for during the war, Krishna's love for Arjuna outshines every other horrible thing that happens.
Krishna is quite open about his decision to get Arjuna out of the dharma-yudhha mess alive. In fact, he makes it clear to Draupadi herself that if it came down to choosing between Draupadi and Arjun, Krishna would choose Arjun always, without a second thought. We see this in action when he offers to have Draupadi marry Karna in exchange for his support to Pandavas, thereby averting the whole war. We see how Krishna doesn't care how many people he has to sacrifice (Abhimanyu, Ghatotkach, upa-Pandavas, his Narayani sena, Parikshit, and borderline forcing Shikhandi to detransition, although the source/validity of this I can't quite remember right now), how many times he has to endure the Vaishnavastra, how many times he has to make Yudhishthir lie, how many times he has to forget his vows, how many times he has to make literal celestial bodies bow to his will, all of it is taken in stride just so Arjun lives to see another sunrise. At one point, I do feel he stops caring about preserving Arjun's feelings through this (point: sacrificing his kids) and just making sure he's alive, no matter how broken or hopeless. It's almost as if Krishna's just on auto-pilot the whole time.
His whole life, Krishna asks Arjun for just one thing, which is to get the citizens of Dwarka out of the island/coastline alive before the tsunami hits. Even that, Arjuna is informed of only after Krishna is no longer on the earth. And Arjuna also is ironically one of the only people (except maybe Nand-Yashoda, Radha and gopas/gopis) to never ask Krishna for a favour! No matter how tough their life got, Arjun never asked Krishna for anything for himself. I can imagine how Krishna, the human god, would constantly be bombarded with prayers and requests literally wherever he went, so I can see why people like Arjuna would be somewhat of a relief. Even during Geeta, Arjun is like, "I can't do this!" and not "You can't make me do this!" And Krishna likewise is not like, "You have to do this!" He's just like, "You can do this, but only if you believe you can!" Krishna basically goes over all the pros and cons of the available choices but ultimately leaves the final decision to Arjun.

krishna x arjun.
part 2.
“O Daruka, I shall not be able to cast my eyes, even for a single moment, on the earth bereft of Arjuna.”
krishna had the habit of sticking to his words. his promises. this was a rather simple one. he wouldn't, couldn't live a moment without arjun by his side on earth. he fulfilled his word.
he left before he'd have to witness time take away the only one that held his heart in their hands.
he couldn't bare the sight of arjun on earth either, each stumbling step of the other was a dagger straight into his own being— he could feel the desperation clinging and wearing out his parth, fighting to find his way out and towards krishna.
he couldn't interfere with it, he knew. but he could tweak with it. and so, he closed his eyes briefly, calling upon all the grief clinging onto arjun's body.
-
life felt bereft of meaning for arjun. the sun didn't shine as brightly anymore, flowers were dull and lacked their scent. the trees looked grey and his food felt ash— what little of it he could have anyway.
he had lost his powers. his ability to protect, preserve and save anyone from danger and harm. he felt hollow from within, his soul that madhav had taken with him to his abode.
that night he went to bed, his eyes restless and burning with lack of proper sleep. instead of his pricking bed and internal frustration, he could feel himself loosen up the moment his back touched the bed.
it was almost as if— as if he could feel his madhav's finger trail down his arms, working out the knots and the scratches that had bled. he fell asleep almost immediately, the familiar waft of parijat lulling him away from the world and it's troubles.
-
the way back to his other half would rather be a tough one, he had realised. but it wouldn't be the one to stop him either, he had vowed. and so then they set off towards the himalayas.
all arjun wished for was those strong, sturdy arms to engulf him again. for those twinkling eyes to grace his being and put his soul to rest.
-
when his end came near, arjun gladly crossed the bridge that had held him away from his beloved. he didn't feel any remorse— only his need to find krishna amplified.
“madhav?” arjun had called, desperate and searching. his feet led him to somewhere and nowhere— nothing could be seen, not a sign of life, flowers or peace.
empty, it was all empty.
the similar feeling of frustration knocked over him, where was he?
“krishna,” he called out, his voice cracking at the end. he just wanted to be reunited with his madhav, just for once.
and then, suddenly — a bright light flashed, blinded him with its radiance and he was knocked out.
-
“oh, priyatama.” krishna said, hands brushing away the curls that stuck to his arjuna's forehead.
“you're finally here,” he whispered as he felt the missing piece of his heart slot itself back together. the flowers bloomed, spread out their alluring scent. the trees buffed up with their leaves. everything slotted right back into its place — and krishna could finally breathe again.
the moment he let go of his hand connecting him to arjun's sleeping form, the call of his name reverberated, loud and clear. he looked down, startled, at arjun's still asleep body.
it caught him off-guard before he chuckled, eyes fond and loving as he shifted, placing his hands on arjun's feet and began massaging them, slowly. he did so until he fell asleep himself.
and then,
“madhav?” he was shook awake, wide, curious and doubtful eyes staring right back into his.
he blinked, still unaware whether it was a fragment of his imagination or his reality, away from the clutches of maya.
“parth,” he breathed, felt the burden come off his shoulders as his ears were blessed with the voice they craved to hear for so long.
and then, he was tackled right into the ground, his priyatama right ontop of him. arjun was rather angry it seemed, eyes glistening with unshed tears as he glared down at him and for once, krishna felt raw terror rush through him at the sight of his beloved's anger.
he certainly didn't want to be soaked in rain just so soon.
“you,” a finger jabbed right onto where his heart was, beating for arjuna.
“how dare you leave me alone?” another jab and ouch. that hurt.
what hurt more was the obvious pain in arjun's eyes, reflecting so clearly back onto his own. his arjun, perched ontop of his thighs, curls framing his face as angry hot tears ran down his face, eyes red rimmed. his lips had been bitten red, too.
it was clearer now, much up close and near at how hard had his parth taken the hit of his absence. he felt so much lighter, collarbones peaking out, eyes sunken in. his face had lost its boyish charm and replaced it with desperation and anxiety.
“you left me all alone madhav. how could you? how could you bare the thought of me living a moment without you?” arjun heaved between his own sobs, days of frustration and longing finally being poured out and onto it's rightful owner. the cause of it all.
“oh. priye,” krishna whispered, pouring all his love into those words as he reached up, abit hesitant, before placing his palms onto arjun's cheeks, thumbs catching the tear drops.
even his tear drops could be stored as diamonds, any other luxury that one could just wish to have.
his touch calmed arjun enough for the tears to stop flowing. then only had the painful clenching of his heart had finally dispersed, untangling it's vein as he saw light return into his beloved's eyes.
“sometimes,” he began, hands settling on arjun's waist as he pulled him closer, feeling the brush of those curls graze his face, delicate in their being. the sigh of relief that left arjun at the faint contact drawed all the tension out of krishna's shoulders too.
“sometimes,” he repeated, blinking away the daze of bliss that had surrounded them, “there are situations that lie out of my control. i do not wish to interfere with destiny and time itself unless it is necessary, parth.”
arjun nodded once, before leaning in closer, much closer than they had ever been previously. a shiver of anticipation went through him when arjun's breath hit him just for him to dip below and settle in his cavicle.
krishna's ears burned red at his fleeting imagination — feeling the brush of stubble against his torso as arjun snuggled in closer, dropping his weight fully onto krishna.
not that he ever complained. instead, he drew his hands around the other's waist, running a soothing hand upon his back as he pressed a kiss into those curly, brown locks.
“i hope i am forgiven then?” he asked, waiting with a bated breath and a fist full of curls in his hand, fingers automatically starting to work into the skin, massaging and drawing away years worth of fighting and pain.
“who said i was ever angry on you?” came back the muffled reply.
krishna simply held him even closer, vowing to never let go of his arjun ever again.
afterall, he was a man of his words.

Augusnippets Day 13: Path of Hurt- Drugging
For @augusnippets day 13!
This snippet takes place in this universe. This is before the story proper, kinda explores the woman who sexually abuses Arjun specifically chooses him.
TW: Implied rape/non con, drugging, loss of consciousness, ogling, psychological abuse.
Tagging @dreamer-in-sleep and @ba-bhump as well as @i-eat-worlds and @rainydaywhump
Note on the Hindi: Dhoti is a form of clothing which is tied around the waist and covers the wearer from hip to ankle. Pitr shraadh is a ritual honouring the ancestors of the person doing the ritual.
Snippet under the cut.
Word count: 517
She follows him, the kind young officer with a surname that promises power. His family name is so well-known that all she would need to consolidate even more power than she has is a child of his. She is decided in her path.
He makes it all the easier. Always smiling, always courteous, unlike his fellows that mutter darkly about her people. Sticking to a clear routine, ordered and neat. The perfect officer.
She knows his whereabouts well, knows that today, he would honour those of his family that are long gone, that he would be alone for quite the length of time. Just right for her to take action.
He smiles at her like he always does, inclining his head, a white dhoti tied at his waist. She smiles back, affecting coy shyness. It helps that he is definitely not hard on the eyes, the setting sun at his back throwing his handsome, chiseled features and dimpled smile into ever greater grace.
His head is tilted towards her, mouth open to ask a question. She extends the bottle of water to him before he speaks a word. “Oh!” He exclaims. “Thank you,” he smiles again, bright and beautiful. “For your kindness.” He tilts the bottle to his mouth, his adam’s apple moving as he swallows. She relishes the sight. You will pay for my kindness many times over, Lt. Col. Kauraveya.
She melts into the shadows, watching. Halfway into his rituals, he stumbles once, shaking his head.
She only needs to nod for her men to pounce, easily overtaking the disoriented young man.
Laid out on her bed, he is indeed a handsome sight, eyes closed though they are. She had known that of him, having watched him at his ablutions often. The white dhoti he wears hardly offers him any protection from her hungry eyes, the material sheer and dripping with water.
She feasts her eyes on him until he wakes. When he does wake, she knows exactly what to say, having anticipated exactly this. That he would protest, armoured in the vows of matrimony. That she can override his protest, easily at that, by threatening to take her life if he refuses her touch. That is exactly what happens.
He stiffens when she straddles him, her hands deftly unknotting his dhoti. She, however, is well-versed in the finer arts of sexual touch, and soon, his body lies pliant, aided of course by the potent cocktail she had added in his water.
His eyes are wide pools of brown, disarming in the innocence that still clings to them, even as she has her way with him. She is not done yet, her victory unfinished still.
Keeping her voice sultry, she laughs, loud and free. Hands caressing his body, savouring the shiver she feels under her fingers. “What will you tell your beloved, now?” she breathes, smug. “That you too are just a man, like any other, faithful only in name.”
The light in his eyes dim. As those beautiful brown eyes close, she covets her victory in the defeat she sees in his hazy gaze.

Arjun in a new appearance! In his previous version, he didn't have any major changes in his gear but now I was able to find the resources and create a new outfit for him. Now, he officially looks like a proper Operator!
One of my mutuals provided me the source material for his gear, so I give them a heartiest thanks!

Why ??
Ch - 2 Have Faith
Amidst the regal splendour of Indraprastha, the grandeur of the palace belied the turmoil within. In the hushed ambiance of the courtroom, where the weight of fate seemed to hang heavy in the air, the Pandavas - Yudhishthir, Bheem, Arjun, Nakul, and Sahadev - gathered with Krishna. Their faces bore the marks of trials endured and sacrifices made amidst the shadows of uncertainty....
Yudhishthir, the epitome of virtue and righteousness, spoke with a voice tempered by the weight of leadership, "O Madhusudan, we have followed the path of Dharma to the best of our abilities, yet we have lost. Have we not been faithful to our duty as warriors and princes?"
Krishna sought out his beloved elder cousin, Yudhishthir. He approached with a gentle smile, yet his eyes held a depth of understanding for the pain that weighed heavy upon Yudhishthir's heart. "Bade Bhaiya," Krishna's voice carried a soothing reassurance, "I see the burden that weighs upon you. But know this, it is not your fault."
Yudhishthir's gaze met Krishna's, a mixture of anguish and resignation clouding his usually serene countenance. "How can I not blame myself? It was my decision and foolishness that led us to this path of exile, of suffering."
With a reassuring hand on Yudhishthir's shoulder, Krishna spoke with conviction, "Fate is a masterful player, weaving its intricate designs upon the tapestry of our lives." Eventually, Arjun, the valiant warrior whose bow knew no equal, interjected with a sense of urgency, "But, Madhav, the flames of injustice threaten to consume us whole. How are we to navigate the treacherous waters of fate when the currents pull us in every direction? And Why does fate constantly conspire against us?"
Krishna met Arjun's gaze with a steady, reassuring smile. "O Parth, indeed this is a grave incident that has cast its shadow upon all of us," he acknowledged, his tone soft yet resolute. "But remember, fortune favours the brave. You, dear brother, are destined for greatness, and no adversity can dim the light that burns within you."
"And Bade Bhaiya," Krishna addressing Yudhishthir, "You are not the architect of this tragedy, but merely a player bound by its rules. The game of dice was but a pawn in the hands of destiny, and you, its unwitting participant." Yudhishthir's eyes, heavy with the weight of guilt, sought solace in Krishna's words.
Meanwhile Bheem, in his towering frame pulsating with barely contained rage, stepped forward, his voice a thunderous roar that reverberated through the chamber. "Krishna," he declared, his eyes blazing with an intensity born of righteous fury, "I have sworn by my very being that I will break Duryodhan's thigh, crush all the Kauravas who dared to defile our honour, and tear apart Dushasan's chest, the hands that dared to lay upon Panchali in such indignity."
Krishna, ever calm amidst the storm, approached Bheem with a gentle yet firm hand upon his shoulder. "Majle Bhaiya, I understand the fire that burns within you," he spoke, his voice a soothing balm to the warrior's tumultuous soul. "But remember, vengeance alone cannot right the wrongs that have been done. It is through the strength of our unity and the righteousness of our cause that true justice shall be served."
Bheem's gaze softened. His eyes flickered with a mixture of doubt and determination as he absorbed Krishna's words, "But how, Krishna? How can we be certain of success when the path ahead seems shrouded in darkness? How can we hope to succeed against such formidable foes, whose malice knows no bounds?", he questioned, his voice betraying a hint of apprehension.
"Faith, Majle Bhaiya, Faith," Krishna replied, "Faith in oneself, faith in each other, and faith in the righteousness of our cause. Though the journey ahead may be difficult, it is the steadfastness of our resolve that shall guide us through the darkest of nights."
Nakul and Sahadev, the twin brothers known for their wisdom and humility, approached their elder siblings having a quiet resolve in their demeanor.
Nakul approached Yudhishthir with a respectful bow, his voice resonating with conviction. "Bade Bhaiya," he began, "in these trying times, let us lean not only on our own strength but also on the wisdom of our beloved Krishna Bhaiya. Like the steady oak that shelters its branches, his guidance shall provide us with the stability we need to weather this storm together."
Yudhishthir, touched by Nakul's words, placed a hand on his younger brother's shoulder, a silent gesture of gratitude and solidarity. "Nakul, my dear brother," he replied, his voice soft yet resolute, "I trust in Vaasudev and your faith in his wisdom gives me strength."
Sahadev stood before Bheem and Arjun, his expression serene yet infused with a deep sense of kinship. "Majle Bhaiya, Chote Bhaiya, let us not forget the bond that unites us. Just as Nakul said, in Krishna Bhaiya, we find not only a divine guide but also a cherished brother whose presence fills us with hope and courage."
Bheem, moved by Sahadev's words, enveloped his younger brother in a fierce embrace. "Sahadev," he spoke, his voice gruff yet filled with emotion, "your words remind me of the strength we draw from each other as brothers. Now, I am sure, with our Krishna's guidance and our unity, there is nothing we cannot overcome."
Arjun, the embodiment of valour and loyalty, "Indeed," he agreed, his voice resonating with conviction, "let us trust in Keshav's wisdom and in the bond that binds us as brothers. With our faith as our shield and our unity as our strength, we shall prevail against whatever challenges fate may throw our way."
Krishna's smile, a beacon of reassurance amidst the darkness, illuminated the chamber with its radiant warmth. "My dear brothers, do not underestimate the power of Dharma and the will of those who fight for Truth," he replied, his voice infused with unwavering confidence. "The path ahead may be fraught with peril, yet it is the strength of our convictions and the purity of our hearts that shall guide us to Victory."
Yato Dharma Tato Jaya
And so, amidst the echoes of their shared resolve, the Pandava brothers song with Krishna reaffirmed their familial bond, ready to face the trials ahead with unwavering resolve, trust in the divine, and the strength of their brotherhood.

Just as Pandavas and Krishna were having conversation, Subhadra, Krishna's beloved younger sister, approached with a mixture of reverence and apprehension. Her graceful form moved with a quiet resolve as she made her way through the sea of courtiers, her eyes fixed upon the figure of her elder brother, Krishna, who stood at the center of the room, a pillar of strength amidst the storm.
With a gentle rustle of silken fabric, Subhadra knelt before Krishna, her head bowed in a gesture of humility and respect. Krishna enveloped his younger sister in a warm embrace, a silent reassurance of his love and protection. "Are u alright my Bhadre," he asked softly, his voice a soothing melody amidst the tumultuous echoes of the courtroom. "I am fine Bhaiya but not okay", she answered by faintly smiling. "Fear not, I am here. Everything will be alright."
Subhadra, her heart eased by Krishna's comforting embrace, nodded gratefully, a silent acknowledgment of her trust in her elder brother's wisdom and guidance.
Just then, amidst the gathering, Balram, Krishna's elder brother, made his way to Indraprastha, his presence commanding respect and authority. Everyone especially Krishna was happy to see his brother there. "Dau, how are you here ?" Balram smiled and said, "Do you think I would let you come here alone ?? You would surely need some assistance." Krishna laughed and hugged his brother. Subhadra, Arjun, Bheem, Nakul and Sahadev knelt before Balram who in turn blessed them. Then, Yudhishthir shared a brotherly embrace with Balram.
After such heartwhelming moments, with a solemn nod to Yudhishthir, Balram spoke in a voice that brooked no argument, "It is time. We must take Subhadra, Abhimanyu, and the young Uppandavas with us to Dwarka. It is for their safety that they should come with us."
Understanding the urgency of the situation, Yudhishthir nodded in agreement. "Indeed, Dau," Krishna replied, his tone carrying a sense of purpose, "let us gather them and depart from this place."
As they made preparations to depart from Indraprastha, Krishna's keen eyes scanned the assembled group, his gaze searching for a familiar figure amidst the bustling activity. His brow furrowed in concern as he realized that Draupadi, his Sakhi and the steadfast matriarch of the Pandava household, was nowhere to be seen among the gathered throng.
Turning to Yudhishthir, Krishna spoke, his voice tinged with apprehension. "Bade Bhaiya," he began, his words carrying the weight of unspoken worry, "Where is my Sakhi? It is unlike her to be absent during such an important moment."
There was a sense of unease settling in his heart for Krishna knew why she was not present there with everyone.
Where is My Krishnaa ?

And unfortunately, with Perfectionism OCD it makes it harder to post art. So I take breaks between fully rendered and colored pieces that usually last two-three days so I don't get burnout. But if I don't answer your ask very quickly sorry >.< I'm probably working on drawing it but it may take a bit longer to complete ! Same goes for any art trades I may do in the future.
Rules for Asks: If you're asking me anything specifically, please nothing uncomfortable or suggestive at all/ or related to my personal life. I think that's self-explanatory but just in case ! Though I'd be very happy to talk about the process I do when I make/made my OC's.
DO NOT REPOST MY ART !

Yes, today is the Captain's birthday. He has finally grown a year older <3 (even if he didn't tell anyone his original and true age)
During the events of @revnah1406's Operation Kingslayer, the team decided to celebrate the Captain on his birthday by surprising him in his office. As the Captain could open the door, the crew wished him a very happy birthday but shut the door out of amusement 🤣
It's not that he doesn't like to celebrate birthdays, but he thought it would be a very normal day, since he thinks he only grew a year older and nothing more. And seeing the rest of the Kingslayers celebrating his birthday was an actual surprise to him. But guess what? He finally celebrates with them together! 🥹
Ahem.. he even got a secret letter from Kavya back from India, receiving a wish from her too *sniff*
So, wishing our Captain Arjun a very happy birthday with a prosperous future! 💝
The OC's in this art belong to my very beloved mutuals mentioned down below!
Alyssa "Aly" Martinez — @alypink
Damien "Damo" Whitlock — @kaitaiga
Hannah "Sparrow" Clayton — @revnah1406
Annabelle "Anna" Katherine Delgado Pham — @applbottmjeens
Charlotte "Jade" La Jardin — @sleepyconfusedpotato

Neelima my beautiful beloved. I had so much fun with this generation. Playing with Nel and Kale and their children has taken up so much time. I started playing this generation in Feb 2022. It's currently April for me as I finish this gen, but for you this will come out in July. I loved the challenge of double twins. Cos why would only one set of twins be enough?! and almost having 5 toddlers at once? oh yeah i absolutely loved that panic. With the End of this generation we say goodbye to the Suryavanshi Bheeda household. But don't fear! We'll be seeing all the extended family from time to time! Keeping up with the aging of Juliette, Melanie, Arjun, Lakshmi, Mahesh, Rahul and Padma. Plus we still have a wedding or two to do ;)

@arjun-iqbal / post-christmas ball
[text from Arjun]: Vivian Ambrose told me you might be staying with her. Any chance you would meet me..? [text from Judas]: Of course. Where and when? [text from Arjun]: Regent's Park. The bench by the large fountain. I'm already there [text from Judas]: I'm on my way.
It was difficult to not break into a run down the streets but they had to look normal around the various humans on the sidewalk. Still, they rushed a bit as they made their way to a familiar park, one he and Arjun had walked together many times. He knew exactly where to go.
Seeing him sitting there made his chest ache but was also soothing, glad to see him again. They'd been so anxious that everything was ruined. Even if it was, at least he got to see him again.
"Hi," they said once they were close enough, slowly taking the seat next to the deity but leaving a little space between them. They wanted Arjun to say whatever he needed to first so they stayed quiet.
---
Arjun's being there was not the result of an easy decision. At first, he had contemplated not making the journey - his feelings were chaos and he was still incapable of forgetting about what'd happened - but every second that he spent away from the vampire was torture. Perhaps Elio and Chris were right, he thought. He should not be allowing anyone to come in the way of their happiness..
Pressing the tip of his cigarette on the bench, the deity closed his eyes and isolated the noise around him until he could hear it. The sound of steps, anxious and paced, walking up towards him...and then, them. His voice and his face, making his own heart swell with anguish. "...I apologise for the late call." Iqbal said softly, not yet looking towards them. "How have you been?"
---
Judas didn't expect to be forgiven, so the lack of eye contact was no surprise. They were just happy that he was willing to talk to them. "No, it's alright." It didn't matter when he had called, Judas would have dropped everything and shown up.
"Not the greatest," he murmured. How else was he supposed to answer that? It wasn't like the last 24 hours had been anything but upsetting. "How about you?"
---
It took some time, a long pause, but eventually, Arjun turned his head to look at his beloved. His expression was sad and a tad concerned, but there was no trace of anger. "I've been...thinking, obviously." the deity whispered, "I realize now that I overreacted a little bit. You were right. About the mistletoes." And he had some guesses as to whom was behind such pettiness. Nevermind that now, it would come up later, for sure.
"I also see…" Arjun continued, "Why you wanted me to numb your emotions to address matters with Matthew."
---
Judas listened to the beating of the deity's heart as he waited for him to speak. They didn't care how long he took to gather his thoughts. He had called them and they were sitting with him, that was enough of a start.
They were glad to hear others had told him about the mistletoe, even though it didn't excuse their actions. What surprised them was the comment that followed. It surprised and scared them. Judas didn't want him to think that whatever feelings he had for the demon diminished the feelings he had for Arjun. "What I felt for him is in the past. I choose you every time. I'm sorry that I lost sight of that, even for a second. That kiss meant nothing to me."
---
The apology felt sincere and so did their words, proving that they had not changed their mind. That, perhaps, he had nothing to be afraid of. "And you're sure." Arjun replied, his expression welcoming a soft frown. "You're sure that it is me you want." The deity's fingers reached across from him, barely touching Judas' at first but eventually, he seemed to gather enough confidence to lay on top and caress his hand softly.
---
"I am sure," they replied, slowly turning their hand over to take Arjun's in his. "Every ounce of affection that I give you, you give me in return. I feel more confident in myself because you give me the support and space to be myself and encourage me every step of the way. I feel like I don't have to prove myself with you." He hoped could hear the sincerity in their voice and feel it in their emotions as they sat there next to him.
---
Arjun tuned into the vampire's emotions, flicking his eyes up to stare deeply into theirs. He trusted Judas' words and knew him capable of making his own decisions but...sometimes emotions revealed a much deeper truth. Sighing softly, the deity held the hand and smiled. "I never want to be an obstacle to you, Judas. I want you to be happy because you deserve it more than anybody I've ever known..." he said with tearful eyes. "...if this your decision, then I am honored. There's ..actually something I wanted to tell you about."
---
When their eyes met, they didn't dare look away, even if they could. It was when he saw his smile that they finally began to relax a little. "My decision is you. I choose you," he repeated, wanting to make sure it was perfectly clear. "Of course. I'm all ears."
---
The art curator bit his lip and inhaled, trying to find the courage he had so clearly lacked in the past few days. "There is no easy way to say this but I recently came clean to someone about something I did to them a very, very long time ago." he managed, going back to worrying his lip whenever he was not talking. "I was a young deity, then. Eager to please our elders, blinded by our ways. And there was this person I admired, whom I noticed drifting away from us. Every morning, I saw him return to the battle field to bless this young warrior. I didn't understand why at first, but I realize now that he must have loved her. All I could think of was her imminent death and how great the risk of him falling was -eventually, she perished and...when I saw him bringing her back to life, the black feathers on his wings I.. I warned others." Arjun didn't realize how bad he had got, trembling as he continued digging into a past that didn't exactly belong to him. "I couldn't...I couldn't prevent it, Judas...none of it. The deities sent her soul to the underworld and...he fell because of it."
---
They waited quietly, keeping his hand in theirs as he spoke. The more intense the emotion in his voice, the more Judas squeezed his hand, their eyes never leaving his face. "We all make mistakes when we're young, that's how we grow from them." They knew their own mistakes didn't compare to this, but the principle was the same. "And nobody can save everyone. Sometimes, we can't save anyone, even those closest to us. You admitted the truth to them, that's huge. Do you think you'd change what you did, if you could?"
---
"That's the thing. I'm not sure..." Arjun frowned, confused and scared about how Judas might take this. They had shown him so much grace just now but how could they after this? The deity sighed and closed his eyes for a moment, sitting in his own feelings and rolled his thumb over Judas' knuckles once before letting go. "I could have let it all happen. Watched as he was eventually found and cast away...but would that have been the right thing to do?" Maybe, Ursa would not despise him as much. And maybe Judas would not be in danger. Maybe he ought to have done things differently. "That is the kind of person I am. I'm choosing to tell you so that you can make an informed decision to be with me or not."
---
They didn't need emotion magic to see just how much this was affecting Arjun. As soon as he pulled his hand away, they wanted to reach out and take it again, but they resisted. They weren't the person with all the answers who could reassure him with their words. All they could do was support him.
"I already know what kind of person you are. It's like my past. You may not know everything, but it is still part of who I am today." Now, Judas reached out, taking both of Arjun's hands. "I love you as you are today, mistakes and all."
---
Arjun could not hold back the faint sigh of relief hearing the vampire's words. "...thank you, my darling. I love you too. So much." he whispered, welcoming the hands that now held his. "I'm just scared that they might do something to you because of what I did. Even after all this time, it seems like the hurt is still fresh..." Not Ursa, perhaps, but Arjun had not been able to forget the threat that he'd been issued.
---
Finally, Judas was able to relax, tension leaving their shoulders. "We can deal with it as it comes. I think you and I can handle anything together."

🌹 Bhagavad-Gita as It is - 438 🌹 ✍️ Sri Prabhupada, 📚 Prasad Bharadwaj 🌴 Chapter 11 - Viswaroopa Sandarsana Yoga - 24 🌴 24. nabhaḥ-spṛśaṁ dīptam aneka-varṇaṁ vyāttānanaṁ dīpta-viśāla-netram dṛṣṭvā hi tvāṁ pravyathitāntar-ātmā dhṛtiṁ na vindāmi śamaṁ ca viṣṇo 🌷 Translation : O all-pervading Viṣṇu, seeing You with Your many radiant colors touching the sky, Your gaping mouths, and Your great glowing eyes, my mind is perturbed by fear. I can no longer maintain my steadiness or equilibrium of mind.
🌹 Purport : Seeing the cosmic form of God changed the nature of Arjun’s relationship with Shree Krishna. Earlier, he had looked upon him as an intimate friend and interacted in a manner befitting a close associate. He was aware in the back of his head that Shree Krishna was God, but the love overflowing in his heart would make him forget the almighty aspect of Shree Krishna’s personality. All he would remember was that he loved his friend Shree Krishna more than anything in the world.
That is the nature of love. It absorbs the mind so deeply that the devotee forgets the formal position of his Beloved Lord. And if formality is retained, then love is unable to manifest in its fullness. For example, a wife loves her husband deeply. Though he may be the governor of the state, the wife only looks upon him as her husband, and that is how she is able to interact intimately with him. If she keeps this knowledge in her head that her husband is the governor, then each time he comes by, she will be inclined to stand on her feet and pay a more ceremonial respect for him. So, the knowledge of the official position of the beloved gets immersed in the loving sentiments. The same phenomenon takes place in devotion to God.

Sundaralekhan ; Hindu Myth Event
Day - 9 : Mahabharat
♛┈⛧┈┈•༶༶•┈┈⛧┈♛
Draupadi, a woman who lost her everything. Just because she got married in a family tied in a relationship of pure hatred and rivalry. A woman whose self respect was destroyed in a court filled with men who didn't utter a word for her defense. She was Yajnaseni, born from fire. But she burnt the most in the entire epic of Mahabharat.
